Four gates were created, bridging the Fae world and the Mortal realm, where the fae could cross and mingle with mortals. While they gates were open, human babes were snatched from their cribs and taken into the fae world where they would be servants of the immortal beings. These children would grow and become what is called a changeling. These gates were kept open until the day King Auberon's heir disappeared. Now thirteen changelings known as the Janus Guard, guard the only gate to have cracks. The gate in New York City, Central Park, is also known as the Samhain Gate. The gate opens fully on October 31st, what is known in modern day as Halloween. Every seven years the gate partially opens for nine nights up to Samhain (Halloween). This is known as Ninnight (not all that original of a name).
Rulers of Fae World:
King Auberon - ruler of Winter Court
Queen Mabh - ruler of Autumn Court (imprisoned in her realm for creating the Wild Hunt)
Queen Titania - ruler of Summer Court
Lord Gwyn ap Nudd - Lord of the Spring Court
Looking for a male counter part to play Auberon's heir, has to be able to post at least a paragraph. The heir has been hidden well and has a charm that helps hide them. They know not of their heritage. My character will be a Janus Guard, given abilities to protect the mortal realm from the fae's that cross the gate in Central park.
This is a casual roleplay. Pm me or post here for more details.
