"Why did you want to touch my face then?" The maori gasped. Seems like Mariko wasn't the only person here who was incredibly disturbed and confused about this whole strange situation, then.

"What? You grabbed my hand and scratched your nose with it! How is this my fault?" She yelled, slightly too loudly. "Sorry, sorry..." She grabbed her orange brew and took a sip of it, wincing a touch as it hit her tongue. The taste didn't get any worse over time, and the sickly warmth of the heated water only made it worse. But it was better then the alternative, really.

"And if the depths of your depravity is forcing people to touch your face, well... That's wierd, but not particularly pervy..." Dammit, she had something for this, something funny.

A lone figure sat slumped over a cafeteria table, barely moving a muscle. The events of the morning had drained Fuyuki's spirit and he couldn't even summon the energy to eat his lunch. All around him other the students went to and fro, enjoying their shallow friendships and pointless conversations... Just listening to them made him sick. From the corner of one eye, he spied the foreigner from earlier; Parker, was it? And there was Cole, looking bland as ever... A pair of siblings caught his eye too, cocooned in their own little sickeningly sweet world... Tag them as incestuous, he thought cynically. Imouto moe, was it? Then again the sister looked a bit older; perhaps she was just a brocon. It wasn't his concern anyway, not yet at least. He would eventually have a client begging information on one or the other, but that was for another day; today he simply could not be fucked.

After ten long minutes, the diminutive figure hauled himself upright with a ragged sigh. He would get no rest here... Nurse's office, he concluded glumly. The only place where he could rest in peace. As he slouched toward the exit, his eyes roved the hall, taking in minor details here and there; more habit than anything else. One scene, marginally more entertaining than the rest, drew his attention as he passed. A pair of girls seemed to be having some altercation involving... groping someone's face..? As far as he could tell? Well, he mused. If faces were the only things being touched up in this school, then I wouldn't get any business. Fuyuki's birth defect prevented him from laughing, but he still made his distinctive throaty kakaka in amusement, reminiscing over all the scandals he had exposed since enrolling... Yamaku's attendees may have been disabled, but they were still normal, hormonal teenagers; the amount of lust and sexual backstabbery onsite was hilarious. Well... maybe not for those he had exposed for their infidelity, but that was just business. By the time he came back to himself, Fuyuki had been on autopilot for a while and was just arriving at the nursing annex building. It was a bit disturbing that he had been lost in thought for so long, especially on that particular subject... It wasn't as though he had any experience anyway.

The head nurse was, as always in his office and gave Fuyuki a little grin as he entered. 'Ah, Todoroki! How's my little informant doing? Still using your CPAP machine?' They chatted for a while, discussing Fuyuki's condition and trading tidbits of information. The nurse had a habit of recruiting students to keep an eye on others, ostensibly to ensure that they kept up with their medication and exercise; Fuyuki suspected it had as much to do with the man's nosy nature as anything. When he asked to have a quick nap, the nurse warned him of another student resting after an accident that morning; no details, but Fuyuki wasn't much in the mood to care anyway.

The infirmary beds were set out in a fairly standard pattern, with curtains for privacy and a good amount of space between them. Two beds were uncurtained and a young girl lay on one, highly distinctive with her unusual hair and... cat ears? While he quite liked the combination, he had always thought it would look better on a boy than a girl... Deciding not to disturb her, Fuyuki clambered up onto the other bed as quietly as possible; no easy feat for someone barely taller than the mattress. For a time silence reigned as he tried to get comfortable, but those ears kept pulling at his gaze... He wanted to ask where she had bought them, what they felt like... and if he could try them on... But there was no way in Hell he could do that, surely. Unless... He propped himself up and leaned over, typing away at his PDA. 'Excuse me, are you awake?' He used feminine speech as much as possible, something that he had long since perfected. 'Would you mind if I look at those ears? They are so adorable...'

Kaori felt smaller and smaller as Matsushita-Senpai raised her voice. She really didn't like getting yelled at, although it was obvious that she had misinterpreted the situation and Matsushita-Senpai was upset about it. She tried her best to put words together to explain in a meek teary eyed tone. "Well, Senpai I just... you reached your hand out... didn't know what to do... blind people touch faces... so maybe... I'm sorry Senpai." Finally she gave up and turned to her, as of yet, untouched ramen. She took up her chopsticks and put her hands together. "Itadakimasu." (Thank you for the food.) At least she hadn't offended her ramen.

Mariko turned back to her meal, since the awkward conversation seemed to have drawn to a close. For some reason, she couldn't shake the feeling that she'd offended the maori girl somehow. This wasn't an comfortable feeling to have, especially when you were trying to eat a curry. it gave the yellow basmati rice a bitter taste, and made the unrecognisable lumps of animal flesh that much less paletable. She finished the plate and washed it all down with orange-tasting gunk. it wasn't like it was bad or anything. Somebody had taken the trouble to add sliced courgette disks, which was a nice unorthodox touch.

She laid her chopsticks down, and wiped away some of the yellowish face-stains with her hands, before turning to her lunch conpanion, who was still halfway through her miso. "So, erm, Kaori-chan, i think we might've gotten off on the wrong foot. What brings you over to this corner of the earth?"

Kaori lit up once more as Matsushita-Senpai spoke up again. Apparently, she hadn't blown it with her new friend! Although, the following question seemed a bit odd. Wasn't it obvious why any student was at Yamaku? Obviously she was at Yamaku Academy because she had a disability like all the other students here. Maybe she meant something else? Kaori was at a loss for words so finally she simply asked, "What do you mean by 'What brings me to this corner of the earth?' Aren't all of Yamaku's student body people with some kind of disability? I don't get what you're asking Senpai."

"Well, except in some special circumstances that is the truth," Mariko responded, pleased that this avenue of conversation hadn't been shut off. "But there are some students who wish to get a job as, say, a speaker for the deaf, or a physical therapist. But you don't seem to have thought of that, which means that you yourself must have some manner of incapabillity..." Mariko blinked, having just realised she had been thinking aloud, and went on. "i'm just curious because you immediately assumed i was blind, and i thought you might've been one of those, mmm, what's the word... Y'know, somebody who keeps trying to help people even though people don't need it.. Is there a word for that?"

"Well, for starters, the only reason I got in here was because of this, but I guess I'm out here because...well its really the only school for disabled kids to figure things out...I suppose that's what I'm doing right now isn't it? Figuring things out?"

"It's not only to help figure things out," Ami interjected. Her almost-tone was still friendly, though. "That too, yeah, but Yamaku will also help students learn to overcome whatever's in their way." Ami's face seemed to go even blanker for a moment as she checked recent memory. Then a little light bulb went off in her head. "My hallmate told me something interesting last year. There was a girl in the art club who graduated from here a couple years ago. She had no arms. She was still the best painter of them all, and her art teacher even helped her set up an art exhibit. To what I hear, she didn't quite follow through, but things like that are what I'm talking about. If you know what you want to do, they'll help you do it here."

Ami was hoping to give that a moment to sink in. It wasn't much of a story, but thinking back on it was always enough to get Ami motivated. But rather than getting a minute to let it sink in, Kyle spoke up again.

"That's not all you have for food is it? I know bread is kind of filling, but you're going to shrivel up if you eat just that."

"I'm mostly to blame for my small lunch. As you'd know, I was running late for class this morning, and was in a rush to make it on time before I got a little lost."

"Here. I know its not much, but its better than just bread and...its not fun...being hungry so...please take it!"

This was kind of a first, even for Ami. More often than not, she was the one giving someone something to add to their lunch, not the opposite. With a nod, Ami took the orange in her hand, with a hearty-as-one-could-expect-from-her "Thank you." She set it next to the bread, almost smiling but as always, not quite smiling. The next thing she did was set the bread down and start peeling the orange. Oranges had more flavor than bread. Even if that made the eating experience a little stranger for her, it was nice to have flavorful things. Once the skin was all peeled, Ami took a bite, took some time to chew, then swallowed. Then she spoke up again. "Would you be uncomfortable if I told you the reason I'm here?"

She accepted the orange from him with a bland thank you, then smiled, it still seemed forced, but not nearly as intense as it was earlier in the day. Feeling somewhat proud he returned to his food, letting his mind wander a bit...she said something before he tried to give her food though...what was it? Shit...he had let his mind get so occupied with her lack of food that he completely ignored what she had said. He rubbed his head a bit, trying to remember, then something clicked.

"It's not only to help figure things out, that too, yeah, but Yamaku will also help students learn to overcome whatever's in their way. My hallmate told me something interesting last year.

"Whatever is in my way, huh?" He silently mused. He really didn't want to be here, he wished that he didn't have to lose his arm, to be labeled as 'disabled', kicked out of the UFC. So how was he supposed to overcome that? How was this school going to help him adapt to his situation? Despite all of his determination, his fighting spirit, even he knew that it only got him so far and clearly a missing limb outweighed determination and added up to disappointment and a wasted future.
...It pissed him off, he wanted to punch something really fucking hard.

"Would you be uncomfortable if I told you the reason I'm here?"

He blinked, guess his mind had wandered off farther than he had anticipated, the girl's question catching him a bit off guard.

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious," he started, "I just didn't think it was my place to ask, but if you're willing to share your story..."

Azusa

As the lessons ended everyone moved out of the the classroom except Azusa, She kept looking out of the window if there was nothing else in the world, Only after the teacher tried to get her attention she reacted but didn't even say anything to the teacher as she left the classroom. As she entered the hallway she saw that only a few students where left, Most of them would probably already be in the canteen by now, but she wasn't really planning to go there. It would only make her panic attacks worse when she is around a lot of people and it would give a bad reputation by lying on the ground in the mid of the canteen on your first day so it wasn't a good plan to go there. She got herself over to the stairs of the first floor and sat on them. Plugging in some earplugs she played one of her favorite heavy metal songs.

Her body slipped away a bit on the stairs when she almost feel asleep with her music still on. A loud sound came from her stomach as she sat upright again, she digged inside of her bag to get some food out, but only her books and pencils where in her bag. She still had some money with her to buy something or, she could walk over to her room but that would take far to long. She got the money out of her bag and headed to the canteen to get something tasty, even tough she didn't want to. When she arrived she could see a lot of people sitting around all the tables and the line at the counter was also still really crowded. She waited in one of the corners of the canteen till the line died down a bit. After 5 minutes it was less crowded and she decided to head in to get some food. The people around her made her a bit uneasy and nervous but she could handle a few, Her face became red as someone stood on her prosthetic he apologized "Oops sorry" she quickly looked the other way hoping he would just ignore her. She felt lucky that he didn't notice her leg was not real and scream it all around the canteen. Even tough it wouldn't probably happen in this school. She could feel her hearth beating faster as the students kept walking forward bit by bit, She had come so far in the line and now but she only wanted to walk away and stay at a quiet place somewhere in the school.

After a few more minutes of waiting her breathing got heavier. She stood second place in the line and only needed to wait a bit more but she could notice the people around her got annoyed by her breathing. "What can I do for you today" She looked at the lady behind the counter as she just noticed that the person in front of her had already gone to a table "umm... Can I have some curry" After a few moments the curry she ordered was already placed in front of her. She gave the lady the money and left the line, A small sigh came out of her mouth as she walked over to the place where she left her bag she could barely hold herself together back there. Making a small note while arriving at her place 'Don't forget food' and left the note in her bag as she started to munch on her food while sitting on the stairs.

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious. I just didn't think it was my place to ask, but if you're willing to share your story..."

"A blind or deaf student isn't so hard to find here," Ami plainly started. "I could have been among them, too. I don't remember why, but I was born with a bit of a neural problem that was chewing away at my five senses. Lucky me, whatever it was decided to take things one step at a time, and the doctors were able to find it and get rid of it in time that I only lost one sense. I have no sense of touch." Resting her elbow on the table and holding up the hand that held the orange she'd been given, Ami explained "I can't feel this orange in my hand. I can't even feel my hand, or the rest of me for that matter. I'm only able to move as normal-looking as I do because it's something I've been practicing since before I can remember. Even then I'll sometimes stumble" Her explanation sounded just as monotonic as everything else one could expect from Ami's mouth, as was her expression.

Taking another bite of orange, Ami nodded for effect. She had no problems coming forth about this condition of hers, even if there were some students who did with theirs. She didn't feel things. That was fine. To her, even this had some positives. If she ever had a stomachache, she wouldn't even know. A lot of things people said were painful were things Ami didn't even have to worry about. Only after she swallowed her piece of orange did Ami ask "So how about you? If you don't mind me asking."

With each monotonous word she spoke, Kyle's mouth hung open a little more in disbelief. The condition itself wasn't so much the problem, it actually answered a lot of his questions. What bothered him more about this was how casual and forthcoming she was of her condition, both from its conception to the current day. The fact that she nodded in affirmation as she took a bite out of the orange that she couldn't even feel made it all the more embarrassing. How could he be so weak and not explain his own predicament, how just the thought of the arena gave him shivers when this girl before him could spin a tale like it was nothing. Again as previously stated, only a real sick asshole would make something like this up.

"So how about you? If you don't mind me asking."

Kyle's hand tensed, just the thought of even mentioning that night constricted him. It had been months since the accident, but the pain that accompanied it still haunted him and the aftermath was an even worse nightmare than the accident itself. He had no desire whatsoever to talk about this, had no intention to at all when first arriving and on the very first day he was being asked to tell the reason why he was here. He wanted to refuse, so desperately, but something caused him to speak up, a deep inner feeling that told him, if he didn't do this, he'd regret it. Kyle realized it had been a very long amount of time had passed, he relaxed his hand, exhaled shakily and reluctantly told his tale.

"I...used to be a professional fighter in a junior league on the fast track to making it to the big time. Growing up I learned how to fight, I became really good, so good that I was determined to make it to the top, to be the best there was, but that dream was snatched from me." He had no idea what he was doing, all he knew is that his mouth opened and words came out like a flood gate, slowly he reached over to his shoulder and gripped it gently, "6 months ago I was in a match with a difficult opponent, it was in the middle of a blizzard and the snow was coming down heavily. It was in the middle of the third round, I had my opponent in a lock, I was about to win, then the ceiling came down." At this point the grip on his shoulder became tighter, "The paramedics found me unconscious, but when the ceiling came down, I didn't black out at first. The very first thing I noticed after diving away was that I couldn't feel my arm, when I went to look at it, all I saw was..." the bloody shreds of his arm impaled by metal beams flooded his mind, he shook his head a bit, "I think that's when the pain started setting in...then the cold..." Small memories of the cold snow covering his body start to set in, becoming increasingly frustrated Kyle clenches his fist, he was done talking about this.

"As I said...my lost arm got me in here and now...I'm trying to figure things out..."

He cursed his own inability to express this one moment in history. A once great fighter now lowered to this, a shivering coward afraid of a little snow.

"Like a meddlesome person!?... Oh." Kaori was a bit embarrassed at her own answer. Was she really such a person? She wasn't trying to be a meddler but she understood why Matsushita-Senpai would draw such a conclusion. "When you put your hand out I thought you might be blind because blind people can't see and I thought you wanted to feel my face so you could learn what I look like." After thinking about it for a moment she couldn't help letting out a giggle. "I guess I was just being silly. As to why I'm here, my mom told me that this was a place where I could get the medical attention I need while still having a normal education. I'm not used to living in the countryside though but this school seems nice and I can get lots of good pictures of landscapes here." Kaori was relieved that she hadn't made an enemy or freaked her out too much. Maybe she really would have a new friend?

"When you put your hand out, I thought you might be blind because blind people can't see and I thought you wanted to feel my face so you could learn what I look like." Mariko couldn't help snorting at that, and tried to cover it as a cough. That was, actually, pretty funny. She listened on to the rest of her new... Friend, she guessed? Yeah, her new friend's response. "As to why I'm here, my mom told me that this was a place where I could get the medical attention I needed while still having a normal education. I'm not used to living in the countryside though,"

"Eh, you get used to the country, after a while."

"-but this school seems nice and I can get lots of good pictures of landscapes here."

Mariko glanced down at the camera box her companion had left on the table while she ate. It was slim for it's size, and looked sleek, black and expensive. It probably had better vision then she did. Not that that was saying much, she mentally corrected herself. So her eyesight wasn't bad, definitely. Was it a growth disorder? Would she stay chibi-sized her whole life, forever jumping to reach the top of shelves? It was a possibility, if a little unrealistic. They usually had some shoddy proportions, if she remembered correctly. And she had enough finger control to manipulate the buttons that machine had as well as chopsticks, so it definitely wasn't something with motor control. Something with the trunk, or the legs? Had she been in hospital recently? Mariko couldn't say. It was time for her to speak, so she began.

"The view is something to look out for, i'll grant you that. And there's a lovely view from the rooftop, if you can get in there. As your senior i'm obliged to say that you definitely musn't try to get around that padlock." She winked, in a manner that she hoped was conspiratorial.

The silence seemed to last an eternity, so enraptured was Fuyuki by those ears... If he listened closely, the girl's soft snoring could be heard. Nothing lost, nothing gained, he thought flatly, still eying up the headband. Maybe he could just... borrow it for a while. On a semi-permanent basis. He leaned over ever so slowly, one arm reaching out and being damn careful not to wake the girl... A sudden sound next door and he froze; the Nurse coughing. Perhaps it wasn't worth it anyway; all she would need to do was ask the Nurse who else had come in and the gig would be up. Instead Fuyuki beat a hasty retreat, nodding to the omnipresent Nurse as he passed by. On the one hand he hadn't gotten that nap, but on the other, found some nice inspiration for his next outfit. Nekomimi schoolgirl. Could be a winner.

Bereft of his skiving place, Fuyuki wandered aimlessly. It was nice to forget his database every now and then, just to get out and see the school. He passed the library with its usual denizens, the quad full of gorging idiots and eventually found himself back where he started, outside the damn cafeteria... The last thing Fuyuki wanted was to get sucked back into that melee. Instead he headed toward one of his little haunts, a secondary rooftop where no-one much bothered to go. As he turned the corner to the first floor staircase, he ran into another of the school's inhabitants. Interestingly he didn't know this one... probably a first year. Something seemed off in her manner and that leg looked a bit blocky, but it still wasn't immediately obvious what her problem was. Curiosity got the better of him just this once. 'Excuse me, are you a first year?' He put on a relaxed smile, doing his best to appear the friendly bystander. 'You seem upset; are you alright?'

While she was eating her still warm curry on the stairs, She looked around a bit in the hallway at people that were passing by her. when they would look back at her she immediatly lowered her head or looked away against the wall. She didn't want any trouble by just staring at people. Her phone was lying next to her with the earplugs still plugged into it. The music was still playing but she didn't really care to listen right now at the moment. Watching people felt different at this school then any other she has been to. Every singel person in the hallway would have a different story to tell about their disability, it somehow got her really excited from just thinking about how much fun this school could be. After she finished her curry she headed over to one of the trashcans that stood near her to trow the leftovers away from the curry. Just when she wanted to sit down again after the short walk someone noticed her presence. ''Excuse me, are you a first year?'' She stepped back a bit as the girl said something to her out of the blue. It was even weirder to know that she didn't even talk herself but more a robotic like voice. Azusa felt excitment and fear through her body at the same time. She wanted to know more about this girl she seemed intresting and she was probably a first year to due to her height "I am" She spoke rather quiet, her voice sounded calming and smooth but, she still wanted to slap herself for not getting anymore out of her mouth.''You seem upset; are you alright?'' Her face became a bit red as she looked away "I should be fine'' Feeling her hearth bear for a second which was still to fast for anybody normal, Azusa notice that the girl seemed to be talking by using the device on her arm, she still wanted to know more about her "My name is Azusa" She couldn't think of anything to say anymore and just kept looking at the way smaller girl.

Tomo's lavender eyes looked upwards, as if to look up at the sky. But instead, their misty hues just swirled with filtered light. Many blind people covered their eyes, since it was usually uncomfortable for most people to look at. But her eyes were so innocently large, wide and curious, yet mysteriously glazed she had never gotten a real complaint about them before. But then again she lived a shelter life. Well, relatively. And even if she had made someone uncomfortable, she still wouldn't feel obligated to hide them. She was blind. It just was a part of who she was. But it didn't define her. It just made her a little different compared to regular people. But here? There were all regular. So why hide their flaws and imperfections? Tomo never quiet understood the need to hide.

This boy, whoever he was, was quiet for a while. And then he laughed. She tilted her head, as if perking up in alertness to the sound, her own smile turning a bit curious and bemused. But then he was quiet again. Quiet odd. But finally he responded to her. He spoke in a kind of way that made her think him a bit caught up in his own thoughts, kind of like one of those born scholars her father had often tried to get tutor her. The kind who spoke, yet did not seem to be present when speaking. A mind merely using a body. The intellectual type who usual did not intend to socialize unless they were trying to figure something out. Was she a puzzle then? A rich girl like her with an underlined background at this school instead of encaging herself in something gilded and false.

She arched a brow as he seemed to find his way back to the present. Stacking her lunchbox back up, neatly, fluidly, she retied the cloth so she could carry it. Standing, unfolding her white cane with a graceful flick. "And you are not a boy with a cane," she gave him a tilted smile, something like an impish smirk, "You're just a teenage boy. And I worry. Even a pampered princess like me can have flaws, teen boy." Her tone was something of a wonder really. It was both gentle and sweet, yet there was this odd kind of strength and force behind it. "Why is their morbidity and depression in stating things that can be both truth and changeable?" she gave him a mysterious and cheerful smile, "Or is it a miscommunication? My worry is different from your worry, is it not? Yet we both have that instinctual worry about whether we will fall over and whether we will be in pain."

She shifted herself to face him, her regal way of holding herself confident and so sure, even when the world around her was darkness with sound. "Instead, teen boy, you should just realize," she closed her eyes with a bright and beautiful grin, "when talking to girls it is best you be sure of what you are doing before you act." She tiled herself towards him in an almost playfully teasing manner. "And you should tell them your name," she said lightly, "Especially when they aren't able to remember you by face." This boy was a scholar who spoke in riddles, so she spoke to him right back. Though towards the end she gave him her own little sass on advice. It was her way of being playful, though a part of her wondered if his puzzle solving mind might take her too offensively. But then again, this was just a boy, like any other, since she had no name to place him with. So she'd treat him like she'd treat a boy who appeared to merely speak just to say words.

Fuyuki had expected a quiet reply but was still taken aback by the softness of the girl's voice. She was clearly putting on a tough front, but he could see the nervousness behind her words; this one required a delicate touch. Chances are she wasn't sure of his gender (most weren't, which was good for him), so he made sure to use feminine speech, smiling with a gentle friendliness. 'Nice to meet you Azusa. I am Todoroki Fuyuki, in the second year.' Come to think of it, even this rather petite looking presumed first year was taller than him... He felt a spark of irritation, but that scar had long since healed; looking up at people five years his junior was just a part of Fuyuki's life. 'Do you mind if I join you? I am afraid the crowds in the cafeteria make me a bit nervous... I prefer it when there are less people around.' He made a show of using his PDA to talk, as she was clearly confused by his 'voice'. The smell of fresh curry lingered in the air; another point for him to make further conversation. 'Did I interrupt your lunch? If so I apologise... It can be so hard to find a quiet spot around here.' A part of his mind wondered why he was bothering to talk to this girl; sure, she looked like an interesting diversion and was attractive enough that someone would eventually want some information on her, but... Ah well, he thought absently. Que sera sera. As good a way to waste time as any.

The girl seemed to be rather nice to her but she couldn't really trust someone like her. Everybdy would be nice to someone when they first meet, but change a lot when they know each other better. She took a shot and tried to get her first friend in this school. She sat down on the stairs again and indicated that the girl could sit next to her by patting next to her "Looks like we have the same problem" She gave a shy laugh and digged into her bag looking for something to do. She gave a quick glance at the girl her PDA and was confused by it. The only thing that bothered her was that the girl didnt talk herself. The girl was a bit woried about that she bothered Azusa "I was just finished so I dont really mind but I still need to get something to drink thats all." Azusa liked that the conversation went smooth atleast "Sorry to ask but..., cant you talk yourself" It was a bit rude to ask but she still wanted to know for sure.

Kaori could sense Matsushita-Senpai scanning her from top to bottom. She was probably wondering what injury or ailment had brought her here to Yamaku. It was lucky that the school uniform had knee-socks that covered her prosthetics. At least she could appear normal, which was more than some could say. She contemplated revealing her legs to her new friend. It wasn't as if they were horribly grotesque, in fact they looked quite sleek in design and they were even painted to match her complexion. Matsushita-Senpai is my new friend right? It should be fine! "You're wondering what brought me here right? I'll show you." Kaori turned to face Matsushita-Senpai fully and started to pull down her socks to reveal her legs. Both of her prosthetic legs had a casing around her thigh that held it in place. The knee joint of the prosthetic bent around her original knee and came down to form her lower shins, ankles, and feet. Underneath the prosthetic her legs were covered with a special sock that helped reduce chafing. "The Doctor told me they were made with some kind of printer, they even took a mold of my legs so it would fit perfectly."

Mariko's eyes widenend as she saw her friend pull down her socks. Her knes were thicker then her leg showed, and once she pulled the sock down, Μariko could see why. They were braced, like a plastic bandage, and wha they were bracing her against was ...her. Or it wasn't exactly. Marko squinted. Everything lower then her thigh seemed to be plastic, or metal, or some substance that was decidely not human flesh. Mariko resisted the urge to grab it, and leaned down to have a closer look. Not that she learnt that much else from being so close to it. It smelled like a new toy, fresh out of the box that Maori–chan seemed pleased to show off.

"Well, it's amazing what they can do with medicine these da– Hang on a minute, a printer? How did a pair of legs come out of a printer? Wouldn't they get all inky?"
