Haha, oh no! UGHHHH. I basically did my 2.5 hour commute for no reason >.< Class was cancelled 20 minutes before it began and then, to make matters better, both of my bosses weren't at the museum, so there was no point going to work. BLAH.

I can only imagine how much today must have sucked. It's two hours roughly for me there and back so I know the pain of commuting but 5 hours... Wow

Yeah, it was a total bummer. Our professor was just hella sick and the TA is out in the field right now, so there was nothing that could be done. But yes, tomorrow will be good. I get to go to my paleobiology seminar *_* Ah! Yes! I work at the Burke Museum on the Foram Project! I'm an undergrad researcher for the project. c:

Ouch! I hope theyre okay soon, there's a bad bug in england too, passing slowly through towns, nothing bad, just a sickness bug. Paleobiology... I had to google it but Jesus that's awesome. I wanted to do palentology at university here but it's not a thing so I was stuck with Egyptology until I decided I didn't want to go at all. You looking forward to your seminar? I bet it will be exciting :) That sounds amazing. I wish we had stuff that interesting here, I'm sure we probably do but it's no advertised of mentioned anywhere.

Yeah, we've had a bad bug around campus. She is hella preggers too, so that can't help much. I actually wish I could switch to structures/tectonics/geomorphology but oh well! Too close to graduating to change my major. But it's a cool seminar. I'm giving a talk next week about the invasion of plants onto the land during the Ordovician. :) It can be tough! I know out here in the pac norwest our libraries have loads of resources and museums are free first thursday of the month and such. Maybe look there?

There's just no decent museums near my town, aside from Harry Potter Studio Tour! That's about the closest place, everywhere else is london of a massive city
