Alex is about as British as 11 year olds get.

And I cannot write a Scottish accent to save my life, sadly, so I would have to remove that possibility, no matter how fun it would be*. : (

*for our only pureblood and character with no muggle interaction to have the strongest accent, I mean.

When I think of posh, insular folk (read purebloods), I instantly think Guildford. Or old Greenwich, but let's not talk about London...

They're 11 and in a foreign culture regardless. Making them Australian makes two of the PC's foreign students, which is kind of weird.
