One: I would love to see a feature be put into place where we would automatically track every message we send, instead of having to remember to check the box everytime we send a message. (Of course this could be turned on or off depending on the person.)

Two: I would also be interested in seeing a upvote/downvote or like/dislike system put into place for posts on threads. I know this may not be the best idea for everyone, but that is what suggestions are for.

By tracking messages, do you like the thing on old RPG where you could see if someone has looked at a private message? Or something else?

A post voting system thing has already been suggested, as has having some kind of reputation system (which logically would tie in to that rather well). I don't think Mahz has responded to the idea yet, however. Some users have said they dislike the concept, others have thought it good, but of course it comes down to what Mahz feels like doing.

I do not approve of reputation systems. Basis for discrimination, and there will always be people who will downvote someone just cause.

I've gone into detail before, but I only support upvote-only systems so you can "like" a post without QFTing it.

It wouldn't show up in any aggregate profile sum, just on the post itself (along with whole +1'd it). And it wouldn't be enabled in the IC tab.

I still find it more personal to just tell someone you liked their post rather than push a button.

All good points about the upvote system, and I understand where everyone is coming from. As I said, it was simply a suggestion :)
Jorick, that is exactly what I meant, I tried to look as see if someone had asked for that, but I didn't see it anywhere, I just found it very frustrating to remember to check that everytime, perhaps it was simply my OCD.

@GirlieDovahkiin:

Can you give me a use-case for the tracking feature?

It reminds me of Facebook's messaging system where it tells you exactly when someone read a message, which often feels like a violation of my privacy.

I never used it in vBulletin, so I might be overlooking some useful aspects of it. Or I might not understand how it works.

Essentially that is what it did. For instance, you was doing an rp with someone over PM's, and you are eagerly waiting for a response from your partner. This tracking would tell you that they had opened the PM, that way you could know that it did indeed go through (as PMs tend to get lost in the internet sometimes) and has the same benefits of posting on threads, which gives you the knowledge that they may be responding soon (as you could see who was looking at the thread). Some may see it as a violation of privacy, but many people who rped through PMs on the old loved that aspect.

I found it useful for some games I ran (Rabbit Doubt stuff) that required people to respond to PMs. It was good to be able to see who was being slow and who simply hadn't been around.

I could certainly live without it, but it was nice to have available.
