Kiton was more than prepared to fight off Takeshi in a training match, but he would have to test his strength first and see if he was going to have the strength he claimed to have to fight him off. He didn’t want to be the first to attack, he wanted to test this guy’s strength first and see if he actually had the strength he claimed to have. Keeping a fairly strong stance, Kiton remained focused on Takeshi, watching him carefully as he bolted forward and vanished. Not looking at all phased or unsettled by this hostility, the moment Takeshi reappeared Kiton was ready, raising an arm to block the kick like it was a slap. Making an immediate analysis on Takeshi’s position he swung his body around in retaliation, using his tail without making any other move. He thought the attack might have more force in it but he didn’t really feel it all that much, confused to why this guy was holding back if he was so confident.

Viral didn’t really understand the treatment plan even if he was being told it rather plainly on the spot, probably because it was all talk and the actions needed was nothing compared to the results of the treatment. He was curious about it and whether he was actually fully confident in himself or his plan of action, but then again it was probably best not to think about such things and just try to keep his mind on what was happening now. Frowning as he looked up to the ceiling again after a brief pause, finding Aito’s plan to fix his current problem to be a little strange. Thinking of something else when trying to think of another thing is exactly the definition of a mind wandering and yet he was telling him to do it. Looking to him momentarily he was confused when Aito covered his eyes, groaning lightly. Already he was being challenged to think of something he had never had a memory of, to have some sort of imaginary sequence play in his head. He didn’t know how to do that, pretend thoughts usually came from dreaming but he already stated he didn’t dream much anymore. “I…don’t know. We’ve never done that before…I can’t see anything”. He didn’t know how to imagine such a scene when he was awake. It was probably something his dream would create but while in his waking moments all he saw was what he tried to suppress flashing in front of him in the darkness. Growling lowly he reached up to Aito’s hand. “Stop this...it’s not helping!”

T’charrl was only a little concerned by Haku’s intentions, trying to find out what he was trying to do and whether he was honestly trying to be friendly with him. He didn’t need to suffer through eating something he didn’t want to, after all. Watching as he went to try another flower in a different fashion he reached for another flower himself, quietly suckling at the nectar as he observed Haku’s attempts at eating a flower again. He didn’t look like he was going to get ill this time around, sighing lightly as Haku gave his approval over the flower. “If that’s one thing I wouldn’t mind changing about myself right now is not having a habit of eating a lot”, he spoke, stroking the flower lightly, “Eating so much food is really draining. I feel like an empty void. Do I even digest food or does it become pure energy? I wish we could take nectar on the ship…I feel slightly better after this…”

Takeshi was doing better than he normally would be, at least he liked to think so. He knew he had a problem with rushing headlong into fights, so instead of going all in from the get-go he was trying to assess what Kiton was capable of; Vegeta had told him to be more analytical, and while he'd already forgotten what that word meant he got the gist of it. Starting off with a simple kick he didn't expect much out of it, and smiled when the Frost Demon blocked him with his tail. "Wow, must be handy, having that tail of yours," the Saiyan observed, grinning as he backed off and touched down on the floor again, bouncing lightly on his feet. Maybe a stronger attack then, just to see how Kiton could handle it. Diving right on back in he threw a simple straight jab at the Frost Demon's head, following up with a haymaker and an uppercut aimed at Kiton's jaw. Figuring all of these would easily be dodged he smirked as he reached out for Kiton's tail, trying too grab hold of it and pull him in to give him a hard punch right to the gut, if he could grab it. If not then Takeshi would try and punch Kiton in the gut all the same, picking up the pace quite a lot to do so.

If Viral was having a tough time with bad memories, why not overshadow those with something good? Before they could even focus on removing the negative memories it was best they develop a coping method, just in case the need arose and no one was present to help the Beastman. To start with Aito simply went with a typical, picturesque setting, a log cabin in the woods. Though near anyone could relate to the picture, or at the very least the idea of it, he wasn't so sure about Viral. Hoping to help stimulate his imagination the doctor blocked his son's vision temporarily, figuring that removing any more stimuli might get him thinking. All his efforts seemed to do, however, was annoy Viral. "Okay, I'm moving my hand, calm down Viral," Aito said gently, smiling as he placed his hands back in his lap, "So that didn't work, let's see... Perhaps if I try to provoke some memories from before then? Memories we have of each other? But what to bring up..." Pushing away from the bedside, Aito began moving chair back and forth, his brow furrowed as he wracked his brain for anything that Viral might recall. Early childhood perhaps? Or later on? There were plenty, but which might still be in his thoughts? "Ah... Yes, let's try that one!" the Saiyan said, smiling as he wheeled back over. "Now listen, I want you to close your eyes, take a few deep breaths to try and settle and try to picture this: You, myself, June and Vegeta are at a festival, all of us excited about the rides they have and the games that we can play. But what had you and Vegeta the most excited was a giant water slide, and you two took turns going down it with June and I. Do you remember? It was a tall slide, and we'd put you in our laps and go down, and we'd all end up in a big pool together. The way you two laughed and screamed in excitement, it was amazing. Does that bring up anything?"

"Maybe you hit a growth spurt? Maybe that's why you're eating so much?" Haku suggested, smiling slightly as he looked down at himself, "I'm still really small, I'm bound to hit mine eventually... But I noticed other kids start getting really tall and big, and they'd eat a whole ton when it happened. So I guess you changing is kind of like a growth spurt?" It would be interesting, since as a Saiyan he already ate loads of food, he couldn't imagine how much he'd eat once he got that big burst. He couldn't answer T'charrl's question, he wasn't even going to try and pretend he could, but maybe he could be helpful with his problem. "What if you took some plants back to the ship with us?" Haku suggested, glancing at the flowers and running a finger along one of the petals, "Between Vegeta and his dad they can figure out how to keep these things alive, and then you'd have all the nectar you'd want. That way if you ever need it then it'd be right there." Heck, maybe they could even put the flowers in T'charrl's room, then he'd never have to go far to get any.

Kiton didn’t know what to think of Takeshi after that hit, whether he was just warming up or that was a quick jab to make sure he was paying attention. He couldn’t be too judgemental, he did want to see if he was able to keep up and wasn’t going to slack off with this training just because he was still injured. Staring at Takeshi questionably he didn’t know if he was trying to tease him or was giving him a compliment. “Uhh, I guess?” Feeling confused, once Takeshi moved away from him he watched an attack come right his way, his arm immediately rising to block a first punch before he moved back to block the uppercut, floating lightly away with ease. Letting Takeshi have his turn he became alerted when Takeshi tried to grab at his tail and immediately swung it around, following Takeshi when he tried to punch his gut. It would be a bad idea to let that one hit him. Rising up with the force of Takeshi’s punch he practically floated around it in a quick flip over Takeshi, aiming to slap him in the back with his tail on the way back around.

Viral was feeling fairly unsettled and wanted to leave soon just to ease his own discomfort, but then that would mean giving up on this process and having to start from the beginning another time. All this talk about imaginary scenes made him rather anxious when they wouldn’t appear only to make him wonder if he had any sense of imagination at all left in him. He would rather dreams that were made up nonsense than what he had to see in his sleep, especially those that continued into reality in horrible after images. Becoming alert when Aito moved his hand he quickly looked to him, staring at him in annoyance before groaning as he lay back again, only furthering his dislike of his plans. “Provoke? This already sounds like a bad idea…”

Viral didn’t know why Aito was going for that method just because his other one didn’t work. He should be trying other things if thinking up scenarios was a bad idea, not come up with trying to pull memories he didn’t even know he had. They could be false for all he knew, just like the one he tried to get him to think up. Frowning as he closed his eyes again, he listened to Aito’s attempt at recalling a memory, one that just sounded like some random made up scenario. He already didn’t believe it ever happened, he would’ve been pretty big by the time Vegeta was around considering what they told him. Closing his eyes tighter he let out a groan, not feeling anything from that scene at all. “…No…this is stupid. Why would I…” Pausing momentarily, there was a sudden flash of water that splashed in his face, a sound of people suddenly becoming loud in his ears before he let out a gasp, sitting up immediately before holding his head when he realised how bad an idea that was. He didn’t know what that was but it startled him, like falling asleep only to get a bucket of water dropped on your head.

T’charrl stared at Haku when he gave his own explanation for why he was feeling this way, frowning at his logic. He didn’t know how he felt about that, especially when his hunger continued through into his normal shape. “Growth spurt? But I’m still…sort of…umm…” he muttered, feeling at his spines on his arms before he sighed, “…I’m kind of the same as what I used to be…” He did wonder if he was going through a growth spurt, but he did worry what that might be like considering both his parents were very large and yet he was small and skinny. If he had this spirit in him and all this power he wondered what might happen to him if he was going through this growth spurt Haku talked about. It did all happen after he changed, but he wasn’t so large just now. Maybe his body was telling him he had to embrace his forms and let it all go, but he didn’t want to do that when everybody hated him like that with the exception of Shu.

T’charrl wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do, wishing he had some guidance for his powers. The spirit within him was not doing as well as it could had been with how much energy he was getting from food in the ship, but the flowers should be able to help with that. Looking to Haku at the suggestion for taking the flowers he frowned a little, tilting his head before looking back to the flowers. “Flowers don’t tend to be open for very long, but I guess maybe can ask…? I mean, I need nectar, but it isn’t as if we can take the flowers and have them around all the time. Back on my planet, nectar flowed from the trees too…”

Takeshi was hardly pulling out all the stops with this, he more wanted to see how well Kiton could take a hit. Throwing a simple yet strong series of punches he fully expected the Frost Demon to be okay with it, but he'd not expected to basically be brushed off. Missing the uppercut was fine, but it was both frustrating and humiliating when his punch was used by his opponent for leverage. Stumbling slightly as he struck air, the Saiyan nearly fell down when he was smacked in the back by Kiton's tail. Taking a few steps forward he managed to keep his balance, whipping around and smirking. "Not bad! I thought I was gonna get you that time though, maybe I've gotta swing harder..." Or faster, it seemed like Kiton was able to keep up with him pretty well. Training or not he wanted to try and be the one with the edge here, so he'd keep working at it. Bouncing lightly on his feet again, Takeshi smiled at the Frost Demon before wiping his nose with his thumb, vanishing from sight again as he circled around. Well, he'd tried it on Viral and it worked once, so why not here? Flanking Kiton he rushed in and went to throw a straight punch, but in mid motion dashed again and left an afterimage of himself attacking. Coming from Kiton's side instead he reached out, trying to get him a good one in the side of the jaw.

"Wait wait wait, don't take provoke in a bad way!" Aito said hastily, smiling as he held his hands up, "I simply mean I want to provoke you into thinking about things, better things. If I can offer some words, or some other kind of stimuli and we manage to bring forth pleasant memories then we'll have a means of helping you relax, a way that doesn't involve injections or pills." Preferably a combination would be ideal, as it would be some time yet until Viral could go completely cold-turkey. So maybe hypothetical images wouldn't work, but they had plenty of factual memories to work with as well. The first happy image that came to mind was their time as a family at an amusement park, something he remembered quite clearly both boys had enjoyed. When Viral initially began to comment on the futility of the idea, Aito was very nearly dejected at the thought of invoking memories this way. Not a second afterwards however did something appear to click, and a look of shock spread over Viral's face, if only for a moment, before he seemed to be stunned by whatever he just saw. "You saw it, didn't you...? The theme park?" the doctor asked, smiling brightly as he leaned forward, his chair tipping slightly, "Excellent, I knew it would work! Well, I was fairly certain, but it's guaranteed now! Tell me... What did you see?"

"I wouldn't know, when I met you guys you were, well, big. But it's like... When you start growing a lot over a short bit of time, you get taller and you get hairier and your voice changes," Haku explained, frowning as he rubbed at his head, "I guess you're probably different than a Saiyan though, huh? But I think everyone goes through it, puberty or whatever. Uh... Ask Vegeta later." No way was he going to be the one to explain puberty if T'charrl didn't know about it. There was a ton of stuff that went on in it, and while he couldn't give the scientific perspective he knew well enough to explain it in layman's terms. On to the other matter at hand, how could they get the alien nectar on the ship? It didn't seem too complex, just take some flowers with them and viola, they had nectar. Haku thought it fairly smart, but T'charrl was quick to point out a flaw in his idea. Smiling slightly he nodded in agreement, sighing before itching at his nose, "Well... Could we get trees? I don't know how the hell you'd plant a tree on a spaceship, but we could ask them? Worst thing they can do is say no, and then we just find a different way to do it, that's all."

Kiton didn’t know how he was supposed to fight against someone like Takeshi, especially when he had been used to more hostile people trying to kill or capture him. He didn’t know if he was going to end up being outsmarted or if he really was being played around with because he was injured. Managing to smack Takeshi on the head with his tail, dropping down onto the ground and turning around to face Takeshi again. He didn’t know how to carry on with this, but maybe he should continue to let Takeshi try and hit him to see if he was actually trying to hurt him. If he hesitated then he wasn’t completely prepared to harm him and was just playing around. “Swing harder? If you think that’ll help you”. Getting prepared for what could possibly be a proper attack he watched Takeshi carefully as he vanished, looking around for him before catching him just as he came back into an attack. Throwing his body around he raised his arms up to defend himself against the attack, but with Takeshi vanishing he swung his head around the other way, Takeshi’s fist instead colliding with the centre of his head. Grinning, Kiton didn’t seem really phased by it. “My turn!” Immediately ducking down, Kiton swung his leg and tail under Takeshi, aiming to make him fall to the ground.

Viral was feeling pretty sick after that, even if he didn’t have an aversion to water. He didn’t know what it was or whether he should be alerted by it, only that he didn’t feel comfortable anymore. Trying to ease the pain in his head he glared at Aito through his fingers, when he decided to take the chipper route and get all excited about this development. He saw no reason for the excitement, especially when he wasn’t getting his problem solved with this. Growling at him he looked away, his paws still pressed against his head. “I saw water and I heard people…a-and-…why does this matter?? That’s all I saw! And heard…it didn’t feel like anything! How is this supposed to help me when it startled the crap out of me?? Now everything hurts…”

Listening to all that growing up talk was making T’charrl pretty nervous, especially when he would be the first of his kind to be able to contain a spirit for this length of time. He didn’t know what was going to be the full effect on his body if this was just the start of it. Maybe he was shedding a lot because he was growing fast, but his entire body had grown quickly quite a few times now into a big monster. Now he was just feeling terribly nervous and concerned, only resulting in him feeling even more itchy. “Ask Vegeta? But…I never talk to him. He doesn’t know about my race or condition or if anything’s the same as Saiyans! I’ve always been hairy too! I-I mean, except when I was a little one…but I’m not from those clans…” He was feeling rather confused and a little startled, but maybe it would go away once he finally figured out what he was supposed to be feeling right now. Sighing, T’charrl stared down at the flowers before looking to Haku as he gave him yet another insight to his ideas, not feeling too sure about that one either. “Uhh, I-I’m not sure that’s a good idea. It would mean having to go to my home planet again and we were just there, then I would have to use my powers and-…a-and using them is a bad idea. They’re just trouble”.

"Of course it'll help! I just have to hit you til you can't block, that's all," Takeshi responded, grinning as he got ready to move again. The afterimage technique worked fairly well, except for with Viral, so why not try that here? At worst he'd get caught and at best he'd actually land a hit, and being just a sparring match there wasn't much reason to worry about the former. Starting it off with a regular flank attack he smirked confidently when Kiton took the bait, vanishing again and coming in at his side. When his punch actually connected he found himself feeling pretty smug, only to look up confused when the Frost Demon had scarcely moved from being struck. Eyes widening slightly he let out a yelp when his feet were swept out from under him, not having expected that at all. Reaching out with one hand he caught himself before falling, trying to make something of it by pivoting his body and bringing his legs together, kicking out and trying to hit Kiton anywhere in the torso and knock him back.

Aito saw many a great things over Viral's recalling that memory, it was just a shame that his son didn't see it as well. The implications of what he had just done were astronomical, it verified that the memories of the past were very much still there, just likely either suppressed or overshadowed by all of the recent trauma. "Why does it matter? Simple! It's undeniable proof that the life you had before, the one that we've been telling you about, it exists!" Aito responded, grinning as he stood up, clasping his hands together, "Even if you can't recall the memory on command just yet it is still there, somewhere within your subconscious! So then, in theory, if we can get you into a relaxed state then we can bring them out. Don't you see? You were questioning before about what is real and what is false, but if you can recall something so vividly then it is very much real. If we can just manage to switch things, to suppress the bad and release the good, then your stress will be reduce immeasurably." This was splendid, better than splendid, it was absolutely amazing. They did have to be careful however, as Aito reflected, as making Viral contend with so many foreign sensations could drain him, both physically and mentally. Smiling at the Beastman he stepped closer to the bed, offering him a cool cloth that he had dipped in the pond earlier. "Listen... Your life with us is real, we've not lied to you about that. I'm confident that if we can bring those memories back to the surface then your outlook will change, and having some positive thoughts can help combat all the bad. But you need to trust me on this, because if you don't put your whole being into trying then it may not work."

"If you want him to know then you need to tell him everything you can. I know I'm new here, but... These people seem to really want to help, and I bet if you asked him he could do it. And we're probably not the same, just look at us," Haku stated, laughing slightly as he rubbed at his neck, feeling awkward over puberty talk, "All I'm saying is that I know Saiyans go through it, and I'm guessing your people do too. Maybe yours works different than ours, it probably does, but that might be why you're feeling this way?" That thing that lived inside of T'charrl probably had a hand in it too, like a parasite leeching off of its host. The thought of such a thing being inside the alien made his skin crawl, and having been told it was basically a ghost didn't make things any easier. Speaking of things that weren't easy, how would they get a tree or even a flower to live inside of a spaceship? Haku had seen small plants in them before for decoration, but he didn't know how that worked or if they could do it with plants here. "Why your home planet? You like the plants here, why not take something from here then?" the Saiyan suggested hopefully, "I'm sure they'd be cool with you taking one tree, or a few flowers, they've got loads of them."

Kiton was starting to have fun with this, seeing how neither of them was trying to kill the other. He could work with this and feel comfortable with not having to try and inflict mortal damage on his opponent. Playing around with Takeshi he took the punch and immediately went ahead and tripped him up, having a pretty good time with all of this already. Getting all excited over the thrill of battle he didn’t take his eyes off Takeshi, watching as he instead used the momentum to project his way back up again with a set of feet flying straight for him. A move like that may had worked for someone who was his size but being so small he continued through with the movement of his own previous attack, managing to get down underneath Takeshi by keeping low to the ground. This was going well, Takeshi was completely overestimating his height and overshooting it greatly, allowing him to get under again and throw his own feet up to bump Takeshi away with a kick of his own.

Viral didn’t know what he was supposed to believe, whether he was going through some sort of madness with these projections or if he actually did have memories of these things. He didn’t know, he also didn’t know if Aito was simply playing with him and getting him to believe all of this stuff when it was in fact pointless and just encouraging madness with this stress. Listening to Aito he couldn’t help but feel disbelief, finding the excitement too annoying for his comfort. “This whole ordeal is stressing me out beyond what I was feeling before! How is this supposed to be a good thing??” he spoke up before letting out a groan, slowly lying back to relax again, “Are you sure you’re not just inducing fake memories and making me believe they’re real? I could be hallucinating for all I know…” Feeling pretty drained already he frowned when Aito approached him, taking the cloth and holding it against his head. Listening to Aito he sighed and looked away, frowning. “You make it sound as if I’ve not been trying. I will continue fighting this, even without you…but…I don’t see how this will help. All that would only mask the terrible memories and give me a headache…”

T’charrl knew he probably should believe that the others were happy to help, but he really didn’t know if it was the same regarding him. He was not like the others so his problems were probably very alien to them all and something they’d probably not want to go near if they could help it. He didn’t mind it too much, he was used to it at home when he had kept his powers secret for so long. “I don’t know…I mean, I don’t think they can help anyway. I couldn’t find someone on my own planet who knew anything so tough chance I’ll find someone who will know much on the ship”. Chances were they wouldn’t know and just send him on his way so there was no point in that. “I’m sorry. I don’t mean to sound like a downer and all that, but I just don’t see it as something anyone would know about”. Discouragement over talking about a condition was one thing, but having discouragement over the idea of getting some way of retrieving nectar was just limiting himself, but his problem was he didn’t see it as possible to keep those plants alive without having to use his powers. “It’s just a matter of keeping them and having them produce nectar all the time. My home planet has trees that produce enough for my people to have it as a common drink, but here it’s merely tasters and helping a little bit. I don’t know how much longer I can rely on my willpower and nectar to keep everything under control too. I shouldn’t be talking about this stuff, especially when it makes everyone uncomfortable. When has something been said about my powers that’s positive, anyway?”

So Kiton was holding up better than he thought someone who was injured might, that was a given. Takeshi had honestly gone into this expecting to finish after one or two hits, so the fact the Frost Demon was keeping in it this long was impressive. It was a touch frustrating though, being unable to hit someone who he assumed to be weak. Either his blows were dodged, blocked or taken like they were nothing, it was a bit perplexing honestly. Having been knocked over by Kiton's tail he tried to retaliate with a kick, eyes widening when he met nothing but air. Looking over at his opponent he couldn't do much to block the kick, being knocked away and tumbling to the ground, reaching out and pushing off with a hand and flipping onto his feet. "Okay then, you're a quick little guy! I know how to deal with you," he said, grinning as he wiped himself off after being struck. It was just like sparring with Shu, you had to get them in a position where their speed and small size couldn't help them, that was all. Usually cornering worked, but out here open it wasn't going to cut it, he'd need to improvise. Figuring he had to get close first Takeshi moved back in without a word, starting to throw a series of punches and kicks, just trying to back Kiton towards some of the trees.

"It's a good thing because it means those memories you thought you lost aren't gone, they're just locked away somewhere. And please, as much as I can do, fabricating memories is not one of them. If you remembered something so vividly that it shook you like this then it's real, plain and simple." People could hallucinate, sure, but Aito figured this hadn't been a hallucination. No way would something so vague and random as what he'd described suddenly appear as a hallucination, chances were far better that it was Viral's memory kicking in. So would that be all he needed then, just a description? There was a potential that all the trauma of recent events simply took precedence in his thoughts, and coupled with being cryogenically frozen prior it was safe to say his mind had taken a real beating. Offering Viral a cool cloth to wipe himself down, the doctor smiled sympathetically as the Beastman lamented his case. "I'm not saying we simply mask the bad memories, we'll deal with those as well. But right now you can only see the bad, if we can change that then your mood should improve. Coupled with the chance of simply improving your outlook on life it would also reassure you of your early life, and I'd think that would be a good thing, don't you?"

"Just because we don't know doesn't mean we can't find out? Vegeta's smart, his dad is too, I bet if you gave them time they would figure things out for you," Haku suggested, "And... Well can we talk to people on your world? Maybe they can look into it too, and between everyone they're bound to find something out." There were a lot of brilliant minds out there, and even if T'charrl was an alien they could probably still figure something out. It was worth a shot anyways, at least it was doing more for his problems than they were right now. "Well maybe we can get some plants from your planet? We'll probably go by there wherever we head next, so I don't see why not. And if we can figure out how to keep them alive then we'd be fine, and you'd have all the nectar you needed." Haku wasn't going to let this go easily, he wanted to try and be useful for a change and help someone out. T'charrl's problems were well beyond his capacity to work with, but he'd keep trying to offer suggestions until something fit. "I... I don't know about your powers really, or how they work. If we asked everyone else though I bet they'd have plenty to say!" he said confidently, glancing up at the alien, "How about it? Later when everyone goes back we can ask, and I'll bet that they'll all have something good to say about it!"

Kiton did wonder how much he should fight against Takeshi and whether he should go all out on him as well, his first thought being he should really be careful and not underestimate him; however, so far he seemed to be all talk and not putting much thought into what he was doing at all. He was probably just warming up or testing out his abilities or something, but he still couldn’t help but wonder if this guy really was just cocky and overestimating his own strength. Flipping himself around to get back on his feet properly he shifted his body and started hovering on the spot, staring at Takeshi questionably before having to defend himself once more as Takeshi came in with full force. Holding up his arms and legs to block he pushed away the attacks, moving backwards. He was putting up a fairly decent wall and catching all of his attacks, watching him carefully as he tried to see if he could find an opening through this flurry.

Viral didn’t like Aito’s logic but it seemed pretty true, even if he wanted to deny its existence. He just didn’t have an easy time believing he was something innocent compared to what he was now. He was made to be a killer and yet Aito continued to tell him how nice everything was and how good a time they had before all of this death happened. It stressed him out a lot, the whole thought of finding out who you were before and how different everything was made him wonder if he was who he thought he was. Aito couldn’t possibly understand how that felt, although he knew he would be determined to try and make more of these memories pop out and cause harm to his mental state. “How would forcing these memories out help me when I feel like I’m losing my mind? What if I change who I am completely…and what if I forget who I was before? All of these memories…just because they’re good doesn’t mean I want to be forever altered because of them…”

T’charrl gave a little smile before sighing, staring down at the flowers. They wouldn’t know a thing, they didn’t even know his species existed not to mention the other wasn’t even alive when he was on his planet, just looking through a portal. The man had barely looked at him and would probably just call him a bug too without knowing what he really was. He was feeling rather confused over what he should do, even contacting his home seemed like a longshot for solutions. “I’m not really sure myself, only that I am different from my own people too. I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining a lot…even if it’s one of the first times of my life that I’ve been able to talk to others about what I am”. T’charrl felt he should probably try and drop the subject before he got too anxious and did end up having a reaction, even if his condition was bothering him in the first place and making things worse for him anyway. Nobody was going to know what to do about it and he would just have to wait it out, even if it meant growing in power that he may not have control of later on. “I…guess we could ask, but they’ll probably mention how I can use it to attack others or something. They thought it was weird that I could see and talk to the dead and that I could make plants grow with it. What do you have to say about it that’s good?”

If Takeshi wanted any hope of getting a leg up on Kiton then he had to corner him; sparring with Shu was always pretty one sided unless he made it so the little guy couldn't move around, then he tended to get the advantage. A problem here though was, unlike his little brother, the Frost Demon seemed to be able to take a good hit without even flinching. To win this little session of theirs he'd have to find out where Kiton was vulnerable, or at the very least somewhere he could hit that wasn't going to just tickle the guy. Coming in with a flurry of blows he began to drive the other fighter back, keeping up the strikes even as they were all blocked and dodged. While it was true he wasn't landing a single hit that wasn't really what he was going for, and as he'd hoped they were nearing a tree. With the gap between them quite small Takeshi could capitalize on it, he just had to decide how. After throwing a high haymaker that missed the air he broke out into a grin, dropping down low and eying Kiton intently. A tree was just barely a meter behind them now, and that was good enough for him. Squatting down he lunged forward as quickly as he could, trying to grab the Frost Demon and push him back into the tree, or at the very least grab hold of him so he couldn't run around anymore.

Bringing out all of Viral's past memories wouldn't be easy, nor was it even going to solve his problems. Aito wasn't doing such a thing to try and solve his depression however, it was more to give the Beastman reassurance of who he was; Viral was lost right now, questioning his very existence, so with luck making him recall his life prior would help shed some light on the mystery. "It won't change who you are, because that person and this person are the very same," the doctor responded, smiling as he leaned across his chair once more, "Remembering these memories won't change who you are, but they'll alter your outlook. Right now everything seems dismal, yes? Like there's no possible way you can ever feel well again, or that your time is running short. If you can just see how your life was before, it's my hope that it will give you a brighter outlook, and in turn make you a bit more optimistic towards these treatments." That was the thing with therapy, the individual seeking the help had to want it. There was no lack of desire on Aito's part, he wanted to help Viral more than anything right now. If his son refused to accept it or be more open to the methods than it would be nigh impossible to make any substantial progress. "It's completely up to you, but I am confident that bringing out more memories will, in the long run, help your case. When we do that however is for you to decide, I know it's not easy and I take no pleasure in subjecting you to it."

"Well since when is being different bad? Takeshi and Shu are different from other Saiyans, but they don't seem bothered by it. And I know how it feels to not be able to talk with someone, even if I don't have to go through what you do, but... The way I see it, there's always someone that doesn't like you, that's just life. Now that I kind of know what it's like to have people who accept me, or at the very least not hate me... I don't care about the others. They can think what they want to, they don't matter anymore." It was kind of preachy to try and tell T'charrl this, but things had changed for Haku since he had joined this group. Whether they truly saw him as one of them didn't matter, he was allowed to join them in things, sit with them and eat at the same table, simple things but things he'd never done before really. In that way he and T'charrl were a lot alike it seemed, both of them were new to having what they might consider friends, so it was a little strenuous but at the same time nice to have someone you could relate to. "I don't really know your powers that well, I've only ever really seen you use them to fight..." Haku responded, smiling apologetically, "But... The talking to the dead thing, isn't that how you all got to get in touch with Vegeta's parents? And now Viral is getting help, they may never have been able to do this without you. And I'm sure there's other things you've helped with!"

Kiton wasn’t sure what this guy was doing but he didn’t like being cornered like this, looking back briefly to see where he was being taken. If Takeshi thought that this would work against all his opponents then he had another thing coming, but luckily for Takeshi Kiton was going to use this as if he was a real opponent in this situation and teach him the correct way. Disliking how close he was getting to the trees he kept his defences high he kept up the block, watching Takeshi carefully before shifting out of the way of his next attack, concerned with how he was acting towards a miss. Getting suspicious, he grunted as he was forced back against the tree, getting pinned. Looking back briefly he looked to Takeshi before immediately forcing his head forward in a headbutt, whipping his tail around to try and grab Takeshi by the neck to force him backwards and away.

Viral felt lost and completely gone, his mind unable to decide what he truly wanted out of this treatment after that. If only he could decide what was best for him without feeling the draw towards despair if the treatment ended with him becoming someone completely different or failing altogether leaving him maddened and as good as dead. Feeling even more stressed than he should he looked away, keeping the cloth to his head as Aito tried to give him his reassurances. He didn’t know how to feel about that, whether he had instead wasted a large portion of his life believing something else over the truth and was worse off because of it. It hurt him greatly both mentally and through pride. Sighing, he slowly looked to Aito, staring at him before letting out a groan and closing his eyes. “I’m…not sure how it might help me, but…I should follow your word…shouldn’t I…” he spoke lowly, opening his eyes again only to look away, “You’re the right one. It would be stupid of me to ignore advice when I’m not the doctor. If I go mad, it would be by my own fault…”

T’charrl gave Haku a quick look before shaking his head, looking down at the flowers again. It wasn’t as if Takeshi and Shu wanted to be identified as Saiyans while he wanted to be seen as one of his own kind, especially when he was a Prince and supposed to represent his people. He wasn’t happy with how everything continued to turn for the worse in his life and the lack of encouragement he was receiving regarding what he was going through made it even harder to believe in himself. All this negative energy was beginning to hurt and being alone a lot wasn’t helping either. “You just need to get over your own pride to make friends, if you still hold onto it by now. I don’t know what I have to do other than change who I am completely. They wouldn’t go near me when I was big…” It was a little difficult to explain how he was feeling but it wasn’t as if he could tell others what he truly meant. He was stuck between worlds no matter what he did, even with his own home planet. Feeling pretty discouraged about his powers he smiled a little before dropping his expression, shaking his head. “I’m not sure if that helped with anything. I mean…they would had thought about it as a possibility eventually, right? They’ve only used it for that and now that it’s all done there’s no other use. They don’t need to use it again”.

Takeshi had Kiton cornered finally, no way was he going to let this chance pass him up. Grinning smugly at his plan working he lunged ahead, driving the Frost Demon into the tree and cutting off all avenues of escape. With his arms tight around his opponent he looked up, meeting headbutt for headbutt, flinching slightly but remaining standing from the blow. "Heh... Got you!" he taunted, staring right back at Kiton. Seeing the tail moving out of the corner of his eye he released the other fighter, reaching up and quickly grabbing hold of the other limb with both hands. So long as he had a hold on the guy he was okay, it didn't matter what part of him that might be. Smiling smugly he tried to take into the air with the tail in hand, hoping to get spinning and toss Kiton around a little. Of course, if that didn't work then he could just hold onto the tail itself and take swings at Kiton, though that left him pretty wide open for attack too.

"My word is only advice, Viral. Do I know what's best for you? I might, but I can't ever be one hundred percent certain because the only person who knows that answer is you," Aito explained patiently, "No two cases are the same, just as no two people are the same. I approach everyone in the same way to start, but things inevitably change as we get going. So I suppose yes, heed my word for now, but if down the road you think of something else and want to try a different approach then don't hesitate to speak up." He'd already done so, partially at least, in deciding to address his mental difficulties over his physical ones. He wouldn't force treatment onto Viral, regardless of whether he thought the treatment was ideal or not. If he began making Viral jump through proverbial hoops then he was no better than the Saiyan doctors; where Viral had to handle stress and depression, it was best that they find his way to cope, or whatever method he most preferred, that was only natural. "If you want to try my way however, tell me when you're ready and we can attempt another memory. And never say anything that happens is your fault, you're a victim of other people's machinations here, not of your own. The only fault you could possibly have is giving up, but you haven't done that yet, have you?"

Haku was scarcely the person to be having this sort of conversation with, he couldn't even pretend to have an answer. Still though, if he wanted to get anywhere in this group and make a friend then he had to try, that much was clear. It wasn't that he didn't feel bad for T'charrl either, he just didn't know where to begin to try reassuring him. "It was different than you normally are, right? Maybe they were more surprised than anything else," the suggested, not sounding all too certain himself, "They're afraid of Shu when he changes too, right? But when he's fine they all like him, and same probably goes to you. Maybe... They just need to get used to both of you when you're like that?" The rampaging part, at least on Shu's behalf, likely had a part in it as well. From what he'd heard in passing there wasn't really anything that could control the young Prince, save perhaps his older brother. Was that why they were incessantly attached to one another? As a safety thing? He couldn't offer much say on the powers again, only knowing a little from conversations he'd sat through. Smiling apologetically when T'charrl dismissed his idea he looked away for a second, rubbing his neck before glancing back. "You can do other things though, right? And... It's not like anyone else here really does anything other than fight, so the fact you've got more already makes you special. Do... You think people here don't like you? Do you honestly think that? I'm no expert, but it seems like they really think of you as their friend, they just don't know how to help, same as me. I'm jealous honestly, there's a lot of people here who care about you."

Kiton didn’t see himself as being out, not yet at least. This was just a minor problem that he could solve if he just waited long enough for the perfect shot. This guy wasn’t so tough, he wasn’t put off by whatever he might want to throw at him. Keeping an eye on him at first he forced his head forward, meeting his head with Takeshi’s who retaliated with his own, not being put off by it as he immediately forced his tail around to grab at Takeshi. As his tail was instead grabbed by Takeshi, Kiton moved his arms quickly before he was suddenly dragged up into the air, gasping lightly before he realised what was going on and just before he was tossed in a wild spin. Using his tail to keep a grip of Takeshi he immediately forced himself around with greater speed than the swings were dragging him around, swinging towards Takeshi to start a fast series of punches while he was distracted with holding his tail.

Viral looked back to Aito, staring at him as he decided to lecture him. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do for himself so talking to him like this just made him feel lost on what was the right decision. He didn’t know what was best for him, otherwise he wouldn’t be seeking out external help. Sighing, he frowned at Aito before letting out a sigh, moving his arm to lean on it. To treat something like this he didn’t know where to go or what might be a problem for him in the future. Holding the cloth to his head as he slowly sat up and sighed, staring down at his legs before looking to Aito. “Fine. I’ll try your way, but don’t expect me to like anything you want to do to me”, he grumbled, placing the cloth down, “The only reason I would give up is if I had no hope left. I don’t know what you are capable of but I need to find out before I call defeat!”

T’charrl shook his head at the Shu excuse, not seeing how it could be the same thing. “Shu loses control of his anger. I could feel how strong it was when we visited a very hot planet…and I don’t think he can see through it like we can see sense during battle”. When he mutated into his monstrous form he felt the same way, but he managed to find a way to force his mind into sense by remembering his name when he changed. Shu probably couldn’t do that when his was a strangely natural feeling power with even a name that was common among Saiyans, but his own was unnatural and not something his kind could do. Maybe they were afraid of that aspect of him and didn’t want to provoke him into changing, especially after Takeshi apparently fainted. He wanted to travel with them and he wanted to see all these different worlds and help them on their adventure, but he still couldn’t help but feel like the odd one out with everyone putting up with him. Scratching his chest as he stared at the flowers he looked to Haku when he basically told him off for feeling that way, shifting his feet uncomfortably before looking away again. “I-I don’t…think-…I’m just…not sure they want to be around me. They don’t like touching me. I don’t know how to help myself, but it’s not like I want to be left alone without interaction all the time. You know people would start caring about you when you care about them too…”

Takeshi felt he finally had Kiton cornered, and he broke into a grin when he managed to get a hold of his tail. Wasting no time on capitalizing he took into the air, dragging the Frost Demon along with him until they were just above the trees around them. Putting his whole body into it he began to spin on the spot, hoping to disorient and send Kiton flying after a moment. Much to his alarm he was caught onto, literally, as Kiton's tail wrapped around his right arm and held firm. Slowing slightly as he wondered how to fix that problem the Saiyan then gasped when it was his turn to be spun, dragging through the air as he was whipped about. It was brief, but soon thereafter his opponent came in and started swinging, quite fast at that. With one arm preoccupied in being held by the tail Takeshi had to use one hand to try and block, at least half the strikes getting through and hitting him. Damn it, he should be having an easy time of this! No way was he this weak, especially not against someone that was hurt! Growling annoyed he glared at Kiton, taking a punch before immediately throwing a flurry of his own with the one arm, pulling the Frost Demon in closer to try and close the gap. Fine, he was slower, he could live with that, but he could take a ton of hits before he was done, time to see how well Kiton could hold up.

It was a lot to leave on Viral's shoulders, particularly when he didn't know what was going to happen; treatments might change as the process went along, Aito couldn't possibly cover every potential avenue in one fell swoop, so there may be some unexpected things in the future. That being said it seemed like his son was willing to relent and trust the doctor, if for now anyways. Smiling thankfully he gave a nod of his head, watching as Viral sat up. "If I said everything we'll be doing was to be pleasant then I would lie, but know it's all done because of necessity. I have no desire to try and cause harm, know that much above all else. The same goes for Vegeta, he's only doing whatever I ask or whatever he believes will help you recover." Getting up out of his chair Aito kicked it off to the side for now, placing his hands in his pockets as he stood at Viral's bedside. "If you're willing to do things my way then I want to try working on a reactionary treatment. Simply put, whenever you begin feeling stressed or a traumatic memory comes to pass, try to think of something pleasant from before instead. It's not solving the trauma, this is true, but it's a way to cope, and a good a place to start as any. Seem reasonable to you?"

"Okay, so Shu's different... But didn't you calm down when we fought? I don't remember exactly what had happened, but you didn't go totally crazy. And uh... Well hasn't Viral changed before too? They don't hate him, and they don't hate Shu for changing, so why would they hate you?" Sure, one could argue that T'charrl wasn't a Saiyan like most of them were, but then neither was Viral. In fact, Haku didn't even know what Viral was for that matter, only that he'd heard the vague term of 'Beastman' being thrown around. These people didn't seem like the military, to be so closed minded that they would hate someone simply for being different; T'charrl had to be imagining everyone disliking him, but Haku wasn't sure how to convince him of that. "T-They do care about you! They must, because they've helped you and they let you stay around, right? These are good people, there's no way they'd just bring you around for no reason," Haku responded, frowning as he looked at the flower, wringing his hands together uncertainly, "And... It's not like everyone hates touching you, heck, I've never even tried it before, so how do you know?" He didn't really have any aversion to the alien, so what might hugging him be like? Cheeks flushing awkwardly at the notion of hugging someone, it seemed to stupid, he walked over and smiled nervously before giving T'charrl a hug, not sure what to expect. "Heh... Wow... You're kind of soft," the young Saiyan said, laughing as his nose was inadvertently tickled by the fuzz, "I don't get what the big deal is!"

Kiton was an experienced enough fighter to know he shouldn’t be getting caught out and knew people would go for his tail naturally, seeing how it was an extra exposed appendage. It didn’t seem to be common knowledge that it was prehensile and he could use it exactly like a limb, especially when all Takeshi was doing was doing the equivalent of holding onto his arm. Throwing his body around he immediately went in swinging punches, throwing them hard and fast to get him to release him. Managing to get some of them through he grinned, tossing his fists before having to meet his own with Takeshi. Punching Takeshi’s fists right back he decided this would be a good time to retaliate. Tightening his tail’s grip on Takeshi he tried to use a lot of force to whip him straight down to the ground.

Viral felt pretty terrible and lost for thought, wondering if he was going to make it through this treatment with his mind still intact. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of loss over all of the possible treatments and while he was trying to remain positive, it was very hard. He wasn’t good with talking, he was only good at fighting and even then he was lacking in that greatly. If Aito could give him the hope he needed to continue then he would be fine with continuing on with this treatment of his, but if things didn’t go as planned then there was no reason to continue. Growling in annoyance when AIto decided to get dramatic with his chair he looked away again, slowly rubbing his head in annoyance as Aito decided to give him a task that sounded rather difficult already. “Something pleasant? Like what?” he asked quickly before sighing, shaking his head, “It’s reasonable, but I don’t see it happening as well as you’re trying to make it out to be. All you have is my past experiences that I don’t know about myself, the rest that I know seems trivial…”

“But…the whole point on coming here is to stop Viral from doing that…? He’s not supposed to from what I understand, right? Shu is different, like I said, and mine is…unnatural. They don’t even like how I look even if I don’t mind it, I mean…I have weapons and the orbs are just like decoration, right?” T’charrl didn’t know how to feel. He felt confused and worried that he was instead going into territory that would make people think he was complaining or being fussy, but he just wanted to understand how they felt about him. He didn’t know how to control his powers, he barely knew when he had them at their most minor potential so everything was daunting to him. He constantly felt like he was just going to change whenever he got anxious which was a lot all because he felt this way. “…They are good people, but…they could just be polite too…” He didn’t want to doubt their friendship but he really didn’t know what else to believe. He was not familiar with real friendship and knowing that people might be faking it made him scared. Brushing at his antennae awkwardly he didn’t take notice of Haku coming towards him only to hug him, his eyes going to him rather quickly with a gasp. Looking down at him he shuffled his feet on the ground awkwardly, looking away as he scratched his snout. “Uhh…t-the big deal…? It’s because I guess I shed when I’m nervous…which is a lot…”

So Takeshi had made a slight error in going for the tail, and now he was paying for it. With only one arm free he couldn't really block all the incoming punches, getting a few got hits on himself as he tried to stave off Kiton's full attack. He wasn't going anywhere fast, and while he was certainly taking some good blows it wasn't going to beat him, not just yet. With no other recourse he began throwing his own strikes, only getting one or two blows in before he was met punch for punch, unable to get past the Frost Demon now. After an uneventful exchanging of blows the Saiyan started to get annoyed, and his annoyance was only further pushed along when he was thrown down to the ground, his arm being uncomfortably torqued as he was yanked along. Going all the way down he flipped and landed on his feet, breaking the earth a little and kicking up dust as he hit dirt, glancing up at Kiton and rubbing at his shoulder gingerly. "I don't have a tail, how's that fair?!" Takeshi shouted, frowning as he stood straight, "Whatever, I don't need one." Disappearing he ascended quickly, reappearing just a meter from Kiton in air, smirking as he cracked his knuckles, "Pretty good warm up I guess, how about we kick things up a little?" Unleashing just a little bit of Ki he glowed slightly, increasing his speed and strength along with it. Eying his opponent he grinned, dashing in and gathering energy in both his hands, throwing two blasts before rising up and coming down, his hands falling overhead to try and bash Kiton down this time.

"Anything will work! Any memory of your childhood, or anything prior to all of this happening. Any single memory that invokes some kind of feeling of positivity, that's what we're looking for," Aito explained, smiling as he rubbed his hands together and paced back and forth, "But you can likely recall pieces about that memory of the theme park now, can't you? If you really think on it I'd wager some of your memory has returned to you. If you can't think of anything now then that's fine, we'll fix that." There had to be dozens if not hundreds of instances which they could call upon, it was just a matter of whether Viral could remember them or not. In theory he would think that vibrant, group oriented memories like the one they had used would have a longer lasting impact, as there was more going on and more stimulus, but until they did some testing it would be hard to tell. "Now then... What memory might we invoke next...? It's hard to say which one will prompt a flashback or not, I can't form an absolute answer until we try some. How's about... Do you recall when Vegeta was born? I know it was a long time ago, but try to imagine you and him playing together. You protected him long before we ever asked you to, and you were inseparable. I know its a vague topic, but try to imagine it. Maybe something will come to mind to help shed light on your life."

Haku shrugged his shoulders in response to T'charrl, not really having an answer for that. Most Saiyans could and did transform, it was just a natural part of their race to do so. The fact that Shu's transformation was a bit unruly and different certainly raised some eyebrows, but in the grand scheme of things it wasn't all that alien. Whether or not Viral's transformations were natural was another matter entirely, one the young Saiyan couldn't answer; he'd spent a little time in this group thus far, and barely fleeting moments with Viral, he knew next to nothing of the man. "I wonder though... Is it polite to lie and say they're okay with it, or polite to let you know how they really feel?" he asked, frowning as he shook his head, "Personally I think it's better they're honest, and it's not like they hate you for it or anything. Maybe they just need time to get used to it is all, I mean you are a lot different from what most of us have seen before." But different wasn't bad, as Haku was quickly finding out. Everything about this group was different, as was the entire situation he found himself in, but he couldn't hate one single bit of it. Thanks to the change of things he was actually happy for a change, he felt safe and may even have a chance to make some friends. Hoping to prove his friendship to T'charrl he tried to comfort the alien in one of the few ways he knew how, by hugging. It wasn't something he'd ever done before, but he'd seen others do it and it looked nice. Pleasantly surprised by how soft T'charrl was he let out a small laugh, actually hugging him in earnest before smiling sheepishly. "Shedding? What do you mean she... She... SHE-" Haku tried to speak, but instead had to let go and turn as he sneezed, jumping slightly before sniffling and rubbing at his nose, "Oh... Heh, sorry. Must have gotten some, it tickled my nose. I don't get what the problem is though, you seem fine to me."

Kiton was probably the wrong person to pick for a training session when he never really had one before that didn’t involve him putting it all in there and trying to take down the ‘threat’ that was his opponent to his pride. If he lost this training session he would probably be picked on for the rest of the trip as a weakling and laughed at by this guy for being oddly weak compared to the legends of his race. He wasn’t going to get too excited, he still had the integrity and desire to show he was worthy as part of the group. Throwing his punches out he eventually got annoyed and decided to toss Takeshi as well, throwing him down and off his tail. Letting out a light sigh now that he had won that bout, he rubbed his ribs and stared down at Takeshi as he shouted at him. “What? You’re the one who was holding it like you owned it!” Confused by his anger he frowned when Takeshi decided on being smart about where he was reappearing. “Warm up? Geez, fine…” He wouldn’t mind a break for his wounds but if Takeshi wanted to keep going on then he would anyway despite how he was feeling. Frowning when he decided to use Ki to try and steer the direction of battle, he raised his fists up and got ready to combat again without raising his own Ki level. He didn’t want to stress his body too much and using Ki like that and fighting would strain his muscles too much. Throwing his arms out he slapped away the blasts, opening his mouth to talk but instead of getting a chance to protest he was smacked downwards, spinning in the air before catching himself, flipping around quickly. “What’s the big idea?? I’m not using Ki!”

Viral let out a grumble, shaking his head in doubt that it would work. He didn’t have those memories and he was sure they were going to be traumatic to bring up like before. He was definitely not going to have a great time with this and already he was feeling terrible about this possible headache he was going to receive after all of this. He knew he had to go through with it, he was supposed to and knew how important it was, he just hoped that Aito wasn’t going to be harsh on him. If he was supposed to look for a positive memory he had to recognise it as one and hopefully not end up screwing himself over and ending up in terrible pain or unable to recall the memory. “I think I-…I don’t know. I don’t know if I can recall it fully…” Something about Aito contemplating on memories made him feel nervous, like preparing for something he had no control over. Holding his head as if in preparation he sighed heavily, not finding the memory particularly easy to conjure up when he had so much on his mind already. “I don’t…just…see that. Play? What did he need protecting from? He wasn’t battling at that young an age, there was no monster. What was I doing…”

T’charrl thought it was a little strange that Haku would willingly move in and hug him like that considering he was still a large bug monster to everyone, especially after his first opinion of him not being the most pleasant there was. There was the time he did assist with his next stage metamorphosis and moving into it, but that was minor and probably something he never wanted to go through ever again if he could help it. He didn’t know if he would change again but if he could help it he wouldn’t want anyone finding him for a very long time after the frights he continued to give everyone. “I-I don’t know what is polite to them, but not saying bad things is polite, right?” Maybe they were at fault for making him feel isolated, maybe they did have to sort that out with him and say how they really felt. Shu seemed happy and completely content with who he was, but being with Takeshi all the time meant he rarely saw Shu too. Looking to Haku he didn’t know if he was being polite like he had just told him, staring at him in curiosity before becoming alerted and gasping when Haku suddenly let out a rather distressing sound. Staring at him, he stroked at his antennae nervously before standing up quickly. “W-What is that, anyway? Are you okay?”

Takeshi's competitive edge was getting the better of him, he was wanting to win this session of theirs. So far he'd been pretty much shown up, which considering Kiton was injured he couldn't fathom why; the fact he was basically throwing blind punches never occurred to him, he figured he'd have landed some good shots by now and have the Frost Demon reeling. Since the other guy wasn't saying anything about stopping he didn't plan to, eager to try and get back on top so to speak. Starting off by bringing out some of his Ki, Takeshi rushed up and threw two stray blasts his opponent's way, not bothering to see whether they even connected or not. Dashing up above his blasts he folded his hands together then, diving down and smacking Kiton in the back with them, knocking him down to the ground this time. Smiling smugly he let his energy return to normal, watching as Kiton fell a ways before catching himself. "No one ever said you couldn't! And besides, those were just little blasts, it's not like I'm trying to blow you up!" he retorted, descending to Kiton's level and crossing his arms, "So what, I broke the rules and now we're done, that it? I guess we can call it a draw for now."

"I do realize it was vague, I was hoping perhaps you might strike it lucky and recall something of your own," Aito admitted, smiling as he reached up and rubbed at his head, "No matter if you cannot, it may simply be too far a leap to make this early in the process, nothing to be ashamed of. It's worth a try at the very least." Wanting to provide Viral at least a moment to try again he watched intently, getting the slightest bit hopeful when his son seemed to brace, only for nothing to come of it. Shame then, albeit that just meant he'd have to try helping the Beastman along, that was all. "You're right, he wasn't battling at that age, and to be fair neither were you. Really at that age you were just kids, and you acted as such. Let me see... What particular memory could we use..." It wasn't easy for Aito either, it had been quite a long time and memories tended to get hazy; sure, he hadn't aged, but near twenty years had still passed, and dead or not twenty years was a long time. Scratching at his head he inhaled and exhaled loudly, wracking his brain for something before finally striking gold. "Aha! I've got it!" the doctor exclaimed, beaming as he smacked the palm of his hand with his closed fist, "Do you remember when we had built a fort in the back yard? You and Vegeta loved to make forts with blankets in the building, but people complained and so I used some of the space in the yard for one. It was just a tiny shack, made of plywood and 2x4s, but you guys played in it all the time. I even remember when Yumi was over, and her and a certain someone were playing family together," he added, winking suggestively at Viral.

Haku sincerely doubted that anyone hated T'charrl, he'd never given them reason to. He thought the alien had done nothing but help them since joining up, and he definitely wasn't a bad person either. It was probably just worrying unnecessarily, that was all, yet it would probably take quite a lot of convincing to make him not worry so much. Haku couldn't really offer advice on how to remedy that, mostly because he was busy hugging T'charrl and enjoying it. Who knew Kaesstrians were so soft and fluffy, it almost reminded him of that dog he had hugged back on Earth. Unsuspecting as he nuzzled his face against T'charrl's fuzz, a bit of dust got up his nose and tickled it, making him turn away hastily to sneeze, bouncing slightly from it. Sniffling he rubbed at his nose, looking over at his startled friend and giving a sheepish smile. "Huh? Oh, I'm f-fine! That was just a sneeze!" Haku explained, sniffling again before smiling, "My nose was tickled and I sneezed, it doesn't hurt or anything. Uh... Sorry for scaring you, I guess your people don't really sneeze huh?" They had a snout, but that didn't mean they sneezed. Glancing down at himself curiously he raised an eyebrow spotting little glistening flakes on his person, plucking one off and turning it over in his fingers, watching how the light reflected off of it and made it shine. "Cool... What's this?"

Kiton didn’t like unfair bouts even when it was supposed to be entirely friendly, thinking he’d find that kind of behaviour more in an opponent wanting to kill him. There was nothing to put on the line here, they were just training and yet there he was getting whacked pretty hard. Glaring at Takeshi he let out a huff, rubbing his ribs sorely as Takeshi tried to make it out as if he had also won their training session. That was a massive lie, especially when he had to cheat to get an advantage. “That’s not a draw! To draw you have to have won half of the fight, but instead you cheated!” Raising his fists he immediately got ready again to fight, “Use Ki all you want! I don’t care! Just be sure I will still be the better fighter!” Going in right away again he started throwing punches in great haste, trying to break through Takeshi’s confidence and show that using Ki really didn’t matter to him.

Viral still found it hard to believe that he was just acting like a kid at any age of his life, only seeing the point when he was released as the start of his life and not any of these years before it. He never did get all playful and had been trying to teach Vegeta and Yumi survival and fighting when it was possible to teach them, but that was because he didn’t know how else to act. He didn’t know where he fit in with everyone and didn’t know if he could find other things to do with his time other than that, so this Viral that Aito was trying to refer back to seemed to be a completely different person. Taking hold of his head again he listened to Aito when he came up with another memory, one that sounded rather unusual for him to ever want to do. Forts usually meant war so maybe that was his warrior instinct kicking in, if in a rather childish way. “Play…family together? With who? I think I-…I don’t know. Construction…seems…strange. Did you teach me to engineer or is this something you did?”

T’charrl hoped Haku really was okay with this and was being honest, not feeling too sure whether he was faking this emotion. To hear him make that noise was rather distressing when it seemed to make Haku’s entire body jump and have him forced to dismiss what he was doing immediately. Staring at Haku he tapped his claws together anxiously, his antennae twitching before he rubbed at his own snout as if wondering if it was even something he could do. “Uhh, n-no. I don’t have a nose! I know what one is…but we pick up scents with our antennae instead…but we definitely don’t do that…” Feeling a little better after that he looked to what Haku had taken his attention to, frowning and quickly looking away. “Uhh, p-probably a shard from my wings. They shed all the time since they’re always growing and renewing. My kind can regenerate our limbs completely and our wings are still limbs, but they never stop forming…”

Takeshi wasn't going to just be someone's punching bag, he'd be damned if he didn't get a good hit in himself. Sure, maybe he'd sort of bent the rules and used Ki, but then they never had explicitly said they weren't using it now had they? Kiton didn't seem nearly as hurt as he was giving off, surely he could use energy too and be none the worse for wear. "Cheated? You're fighting with a tail!" the Saiyan shot back, his cheeks reddening slightly as he pointed over at Kiton, "I don't have one, so how's that fair!? You cheated too!" Man, what a pain in the ass! The guy still thought he was the better fighter too, no way was he going to let that comment slide. Having dropped his energy levels back down Takeshi was now determined not to use Ki, ready to prove he didn't need a boost to win this. Watching as Kiton came in at him he rushed headlong to meet him, throwing strike for strike as their limbs collided, the sound of their attacks being like claps of thunder, the trees around them rustling from the force. He might not be as fast as Kiton, but he sure could match him in power, he didn't doubt that for a second. Catching a punch to the jaw, Takeshi growled and drew one arm back to punch the Frost Demon in turn, leaning back at the same time and quickly bringing up a leg, trying to knee Kiton in the stomach.

Aito was having a hard time describing many memories in detail, his own recollections a bit foggy at current. If only they had something like a scrapbook to look through, maybe then they could revitalize Viral's memories. Hm... Perhaps there was a way they could get a hold of one, provided the booklet they'd put together all those years ago still existed. That would be a task for later though, he couldn't well go and call Earth here in the atrium, and all of their equipment to do so was back on the ship. At any rate his concern currently was trying to bring up another memory, and all he could bring to mind right now was some vague scenes of their playing in a fort they had built together. "You and Yumi of course, you two loved to play family together when you were younger," Aito said casually, smiling amused as he looked at Viral, "And even though you were always around the same age you would make Vegeta be the baby, which all things considered wasn't wholly inaccurate. Also I built the fort, I couldn't exactly expect or ask toddlers to put one together now could I?" Chuckling to himself he started pacing about again, finding it easier to think while moving about. "You grew up rather quickly, but I'll always remember those early years fondly. I still remember when I found you and Vegeta in the kitchen late one night... He had been crying and you thought he was hungry, so you'd brought him down to get him food, not knowing he couldn't quite do solids. When I came down to find out what was going on you two were sat on the floor, he was covered in whipped cream and you were explaining you thought it was baby food in a can..."

Haku was quite embarrassed for sneezing like that, feeling kind of silly for nearly covering T'charrl in snot. Real good way to make a friend, sneeze all over them like that after weirding them out with a hug. "Huh... I guess that would be like me picking up scents with my ears... Except don't you have ears too?" the Saiyan asked, furrowing his brow as he rubbed both of his ears. Distracted momentarily by something shining on his shirt he plucked it off, turning it around in his fingers and marveling at how it reflected light. He'd never seen anything like it before, and he was a bit surprised to find it was something that had come from his friend. "Woah... That's kind of cool, being able to regrow limbs like that..." Haku mumbled, looking away from the scale as he smiled slightly at T'charrl, "Not that I'd ever want to see you have to do it, losing a limb must suck. You've uh... Never had to do it, have you? Regrow one?"
