Kiton wasn’t going to take a loss that easily, especially when he had Takeshi on the ropes for so long. He knew he was the winner out of this but he also knew he shouldn’t continue this training of his with how his injuries continued to linger. If Takeshi hit him in a particularly bad area he may get internal bleeding and that would be all on him for not blocking correctly. “My tail is a part of me! Not everybody can use Ki effectively!” he snapped back, looking to Shu on the ground briefly, “Do you get this mad when your brother uses his tail too?? The only difference is mine is longer and probably stronger! What would you do against another Frost Demon who wanted to kill you??” Throwing his punches back with solid throws he watched as he managed to give Takeshi a good punch in the face, pulling his arm back to block an incoming attack before he was kneed in the stomach. Without giving it much more thought he immediately threw his fist down hard at Takeshi to get him to back off, his other hand going to his stomach as he immediately whipped his tail around after throwing the punch.

Viral couldn’t recall the memories specifically, finding something so vague too difficult to think up. He was sure it would be pretty difficult for Aito to recall his childhood as well and when there was something that was as non-specific as some play area. He knew Aito was trying to get some happy memories to surface, but they all seems so far away when he had been living for so long anyway. Feeling slightly fed up he let out a sigh and held his head, looking away from Aito before letting out a grunt when he decided to elaborate on his particular thought. “That doesn’t sound like me! You’re just trying to embarrass me…” Having growing doubts in Aito’s ability to give him good memories to work on he looked back to him at the mention of the other memory, frowning before growling angrily. “I didn’t know! I don’t know what kids need! I don’t know any of your stupid Human inventions or what you’re supposed to feed them!” he shouted before holding his head, growling lowly, “How…do…Humans survive in the wild…”

T’charrl didn’t really understand Saiyans or creatures like them, finding them most unusual. It wasn’t as if all the aliens he had seen had those nose things or made those noises, but when they did have them he could only feel curious about the reason behind them and how good they were. Tilting his head slightly he felt around the side of his head. “Uhh, not like yours…I mean, we do kind of, but they’re made of hair that picks up vibrations and then there’s things inside our head and…uhh…I’m not good at that subject”, he sighed, lowering his claws, “I don’t know how to describe it, but we can cut those hairs and we’ll still hear fine”. Finding it a little unusual that Haku was really into how he worked his antennae twitched when he took interest in their regeneration, looking to his own arms before quickly shaking his head. “Uhh not anything that you have. I mean, I’ve lost my wings a few times and had to regrow them, but that only takes a few days now when before it took a few weeks”, he spoke, looking back to his wings briefly before sighing, “My ability to regenerate has advanced so much that I’m more worried if I lose a limb it will change forever when it came back. What if I lost the orbs? They’re balancing my power and if I lost one or more temporarily, I could lose control until I grew it back. Don’t uhh, Saiyans grow back anything they lose? I mean, a lot have tails and then you get Takeshi and he doesn’t…or uhh, do they never come back once gone?”

"Oh come on, like you can't use Ki! I'm just fighting fair with you, I know you can do it too!" Takeshi retorted, huffing annoyed as he folded his arms, "No I don't get mad at Shu because he doesn't really fight with it! And how should I know, you're the only Frost Demon I've ever met!" Sheesh, what did killing have to do with any of this? They were sparing, aka having fun, why did eliminating one another have to come into the whole thing? Now he was just getting annoyed, and naturally he was going to take out that annoyance on Kiton. Rushing back in as his opponent did the same they met high above Shu, immediately being swung at by the Frost Demon. Takeshi dodged most of the blows, but a good strong punch got through and hit him square in the jaw, reeling slightly before going right back in, feigning a punch and instead slamming a knee into Kiton's stomach. Evading the downward punch he then used his hands to block the second, seeing the tail and dashing away to avoid being sideswiped, reappearing a little ways off with a grin. A trickle of blood was coming out of his mouth and he was beginning to breath heavier, but damn if this wasn't a fun spar. "I don't know about you... But I'm having fun! You're pretty good!"

Aito could only give vague descriptions of most of his own memories, but he hoped that to be enough to strike something in Viral. It may not be such a bad idea to give it a small break too, just to be certain he wasn't overly taxing the Beastman. Wanting to try this last memory he gave as best a description as he could, smiling in slight disappointment when nothing came of it. He couldn't expect every simple description to bring up a vivid memory, that was unrealistic and awfully optimistic. "Children tend to behave freely of worry about how they're portrayed, it doesn't matter to them," the doctor remarked with a chuckle, smiling at his son, "I'm not criticizing you for what you did, don't be so defensive Viral. To be honest I laughed quite a bit when I found you two, it almost looked like Vegeta had a beard, what with all the cream all over his face." Shame his other son had been so young when it happened, he would love to bring it up in front of Vegeta and see what he thought about it. Curious about the seemingly random question Viral asked then, Aito tilted his head slightly and tapped his foot as he thought of an answer. "Well... As any other being would I suppose. We build a shelter, hunt for food, try and stay out of the sun or risk exposure, not overly difficult. We've developed to the point where survival really isn't a concern, but humans can still do it. I suppose us Saiyans and half-Saiyans have an easier time of it though, as do you."

"I guess that's a good thing you don't have the same kind of nose we do, it'd look a bit odd on you," Haku mused, looking at his friend with a small smile, "That's cool though, really. I've never had the chance to get to know what another race is like, so this is kind of exciting for me. You're the same way, aren't you? We're all kind of aliens to each other, which seems weird..." It was neat too, learning about what a whole different kind of peoples were like. Now that Haku had an unprecedented amount of freedom, what with being away from the military, he wasn't quite sure how to spend his time. He wanted to learn about his friends, see worlds, learn to cook, learn so many things that frankly he was feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all. Hearing his kind could just regenerate their limbs too was surprising, he'd never known that T'charrl's people; to be fair Haku didn't really know anything about T'charrl's kind, other than they had wings and liked nectar really. Looking at the alien to see if any of his limbs looked new he blushed when spoken to, hoping he wasn't coming across as rude as he smiled sheepishly. "Oh, uh... Not really? We can grow our tails back I guess, I don't know why Takeshi hasn't, but other than that we don't really regrow anything. Once something is gone that's kind of it."

Kiton was getting annoyed despite having nothing really to get annoyed at, especially when it was just training. He hadn’t trained with someone for a very long time and it was rather stressful to try and prove himself. Takeshi didn’t have to worry about that, he wasn’t the one who had to prove that he could fight fair and wasn’t evil. They all could believe he was pretending to be good, but he didn’t know that for sure. Despite getting a blow on Takeshi he received one himself, only managing to tenderise his already existing wounds before he tried to get Takeshi to back off. After throwing a fist down and his tail he glared at Takeshi, his hand to his stomach before he forced himself up straight. “Fun? What’s fun about it? Training is to eliminate weakness! You may not have anything to prove to me, but if I didn’t win you would only mock me! I can see that with the way you look at me…”

Viral was feeling rather stressed out with all this talk about memories and the likes, finding all the things Aito only found amusement in to be embarrassing and distressing. He didn’t want to see himself as something to childish, he needed to have confidence in other areas of his life that were important to him. It was just typical for someone like Aito to talk about childhood embarrassments, he was just lucky nobody else was around to hear them. “Well it probably wasn’t funny to me when I tried! You know how humiliating it feels when you’re being laughed at for a mistake??” While it was hard to understand where the amusement lay in that situation he still had other questions relating to the subject. Slowly rubbing his head he let out a grunt, looking away. “Hmph! Humans are so weak. I don’t understand how they can forget such skills. No wonder your company is rich…”

T’charrl gave a little smile before looking away, rubbing his snout. The most he had was a horn he developed through his metamorphosis, but it wasn’t as if those were uncommon in his race. “I guess so, I mean…I barely know anything about other aliens. I don’t know how different I am, but when I do come to an understanding I realise just how unusual my kind are. People seem disgusted by me, mostly…” T’charrl still felt confused about how he should talk around others and what might be off limits for fear that he might offend someone. Everyone always seemed so concerned or confused whenever he mentioned something about his own kind and that was never a good impression to get from anyone. “You do? Why only the tail? What is its function? They don’t seem to do anything…”

Who else did he train with that really gave him trouble? Sure, Shu was hard to hit, but he never really took a pounding from the little guy either. While it was frustrating that he was having a tough time of it Takeshi had to admit it was fun too. Even with only having landed a small number of hits himself he felt like he was having to change how he fought a bit, try to improvise and be a bit sneakier with his attacks just to get through. After managing to catch Kiton in the gut with a knee he backed off to avoid a counterattack, grinning excitably. "Eliminate weakness? You really are new to this kind of stuff, aren't you? You can train just for fun you know, especially when you're with friends," the Saiyan responded, his smile flipping as he placed his hands on his hips, "You're kidding... Right? You think I'd mock you?" Oh wow, he really was serious wasn't he? Was that what he thought this was all about then, sort of a pride thing that he absolutely had to win? Sure, Takeshi wanted to win too, but he'd not really be that bothered if he ended up losing today. Sighing to himself he ran a hand through his hair, reluctant to be having to have a conversation when they could keep training. "Look... We're doing this for fun, it doesn't really count for anything. Sure I wanna win, but it's basically a game, you know? We never think less of anyone if they don't do as well in training, that just means we help them train more, you know?"

"Of course I do, I was a child once too, believe it or not," Aito remarked, chuckling before giving Viral a kind smile, "And I've made countless mistakes in my life, I've been a laughing stock and I've been dragged through the mud and berated for them too. I'm no stranger to being mocked, but I've come to use that as reason to work harder and prove those people wrong. And I'm certainly not saying you're childish for what you did, you've grown." A parent recalling their child's early life was as natural as breathing, and he would always try to retain some of those precious memories; June probably even recalled more than he did, she had spent more time with the boys overall. Hm, perhaps then it was a good idea to bring her by sometime, let her try her hand at sharing some memories. "Humanity has become complacent due to the commodities of everyday life, I suppose. Philosophy isn't really my thing... But if I had to venture a guess I'd say those skills were "forgotten" because there's really no need for them any longer. That being said there are most certainly humans who live like that, and I do believe if pressed most could survive, albeit to varying degrees of success. I'm curious though... Why the questions about human survival? Just because of the memory with Vegeta?"

Haku was kind of having fun with this, even if all he and T'charrl were doing was standing around and talking. He was getting to learn some new things and see a new world, for him that was a great way to spend a day. "I don't think your kind is unusual though, I mean... You're different from us, sure, but then so are hundreds of other races of people," the Saiyan remarked, shrugging his shoulders as he ran a hand along a petal thoughtfully, "It's just there's so many kinds of people in the universe, so saying it's because you're different isn't fair, right? And... I don't think you're disgusting, I don't think the others do either." Takeshi did have that weird fear or whatever, but he figured that was a rare exception to the rule. No one else freaked out around T'charrl, and while their group might not be lining up to hug the alien that didn't seem like hate. Haku knew what it felt like to be hated, he could tell no one here genuinely disliked T'charrl. "Well... Our tail let's us change, for starters. Kind of how Shu does, but a little different," Haku explained, glancing back at his own hind and noting the lack of a tail, "I had mine clipped... They said I didn't deserve mine, but yeah, most Saiyans have them. And you can kind of use it as another limb I guess, if you really wanted. So they're kind of handy."

Kiton didn’t understand what made him so concerned with proving himself so often, how he had to show he could take care of himself by winning the training session and showing he was a fully capable fighter. Takeshi didn’t need to have that concern, but when there was two of them watching and testing his capabilities he felt the huge need to go out and show he was able to stand up for himself. Keeping his hand to his stomach as Takeshi spoke he quickly moved it away as he spoke. “Friends? I’ve not had friends! Besides, you train to strengthen up and become stronger, not to…I don’t know, throw yourself around and get all bloody for laughs…” Kiton was now feeling very confused, wondering where he went wrong in the understanding of this training of theirs. It would be called playing if they weren’t being serious about it and he was most definitely aiming to improve himself and figure out what might be wrong with his body. “What? But…if I lose you would mock me. C’mon! Train with me! I’ll show you my worth!”

Viral felt like he might as well give up on this and just have Aito rolling on out with these memories he wanted to share, just lie back in defeat and let him ramble on. He didn’t know what good it would do to tell him memories he might want to forget, especially when he was supposed to be ‘a proud warrior’. “I don’t know how laughing at myself will help get my memories back either. Wouldn’t memories I am proud of help more? I can’t be made a fool of my entire life…” Viral felt a lot of the blame could be placed on Humans, seeing how they continued to create to make their lives easier. If they trained to be warriors they would have no need for something like him. Grunting at Aito’s answer he glanced to him, huffing in annoyance. “A variety of reasons including that. They can never look after themselves and need inventions like me to look after them. I was made for fighting because they can’t do it themselves. Why would you trust me with Vegeta when I would still be on trial? I was on trial for years after my release when they realised I was dangerous, yet I don’t know what your logic was with giving me freedom and treating me like a child. When was I expected to take up this duty as ‘Earth’s protector’? Even Vegeta didn’t know what to do with me when he grew up smart enough to know better…”

T’charrl didn’t really know what he was supposed to do regarding fitting in with a group of aliens that were largely the same, feeling a little awkward that he was extremely different from everyone else. Even their newest edition was of a similar shape to them all while he still remained that weird alien with wings and an extra set of limbs. Looking off to the side he slowly squatted down again, burying his face into a flower momentarily before looking to Haku. “I know there is, but out of everyone on the ship? Even the workers are not that different”, he spoke calmly, scratching at the orb on his chest, “I just wonder, what did they think of my kind when they first arrived? I just hope I’m not bothering them with wanting to see the galaxy, is all”. T’charrl felt he didn’t know a whole lot of what he should know concerning his friends, or at least those he hoped were his friends. He knew what they looked like on the outside but didn’t really know how they functioned on the inside or what certain parts of them were used for. He was certainly curious now, listening to Haku before frowning, standing up again. “Uhh, change like Shu? And that’s something to be gifted? I don’t know, I wouldn’t want that after I’ve felt what it’s like to change”, he spoke, looking at his own back end, “I don’t have a tail, this isn’t like a tail. It’s like…our extra chest, I guess. I hate going into deep water because it feels like I can’t breathe, like being squeezed by the water, you know? If my kind get speared through the chest, we can still live from that if treated quick enough. I don’t want to feel that, though. Organs aren’t so easily healed and need manual care over regeneration”.

"Well you'd have friends here if you wanted, you have to try and being... You know, friendly first? And why can't we just throw ourselves around? It IS fun, even if you're competing to win. Yeah we wanna get stronger with training, but why bother do it if we can't enjoy it too?" Why was he having to explain such a simple concept? Even Shu understood it, the idea that having fun while training was just how they did things around here. Maybe their session did get a bit intense there for a moment, but the Saiyan had only meant to make it interesting, and perhaps get a leg up too. Seeing Kiton all irritated and annoyed really killed the mood, and after letting out an exasperated sigh as he placed both hands on his hips and floated towards the Frost Demon. "Look... I get it, you're knew to this kind of thing, whatever. But I'm not gonna make fun of someone because they lose a training session, that's just how it works, someone wins and someone loses," Takeshi explained, frowning as he looked at Kiton, "And no... You're hurt buddy, I'm not fighting you anymore. If you just keep fighting while you're injured then you'll never heal, you know? So come on, let's take a break. I think Shu wants some fruit," he added, glancing down at his brother with a grin, "Right squirt? Want your fruit now?"

Aito supposed he should grant Viral that much, particularly when his son's pride seemed to be in tatters in lieu of everything happening to him. So proud memories would do them more justice, but he would need a moment to think of some proper ones to help bolster Viral's sense of self-worth. It was curious that the Beastman had gone from questioning his memories to depreciating humanity, like he was trying to change the subject. Hearing out the line of questioning however it sounded more like he was just questioning himself further, doubting what he was meant to do and why he was meant to do it. "Why would I trust you? Because you're my child? My creation? Because I have high hopes for you? There's many reasons why, but the reasons themselves shouldn't matter as much as the fact that I simply do," Aito responded, smiling kindly as he folded his arms, "You were expected to take up the mantle when you felt ready. You were to be trained for it, but we could never make you assume such a position, it would have to be when you were prepared. And just because you were made with that in mind does not limit you to that single purpose, you could feasibly do whatever you pleased, and I'd be happy for you regardless. And please try to see thing through Vegeta's perspective, will you? I know and understand that you may feel bitter, but think about it... His parents are gone, he's been forced to run an international powerhouse of a company. Yumi is gone doing her own thing, and on top of that he has to manage you, something he had never done before. Can you truly blame him for failing to properly deal with you?" Shaking his head, the doctor reached out again and placed a hand on Viral's back, "Listen... I'm sure it tore him up inside looking for potential buyers, but with all that stress... Maybe he felt it was his only option?"

"Hey... Aside from the extra set of your arms you're really not that different, okay? I mean sure you've got wings, but then look at us... We fly without wings! Most species don't do that, so we're kind of freaks ourselves. And like I said, different isn't bad, it makes things more... More fun!" It would be super boring if every single person in the universe was the same, so someone like T'charrl was a welcome change. To be fair too sure, some people thought a few things about the alien were weird, but he'd bet that his friend's people thought they were odd in their habits too when they went to his world. Anything new was bound to be strange, that was just how stuff worked, wasn't it? Squirming uncomfortably at the idea of having his chest pierced, Haku brought his hands up to it reflexively, glancing at his friend's lower extremities curiously. Two chests huh? Weird, but he supposed it was handy for the reason his friend had just named. "Ooooh... Uh, well kind of? I mean most any Saiyan can change, as long as they have a tail. There's other ways we can change too, but you need to be super strong for that," Haku said as he smiled slightly, "Way stronger than I am... I wonder if anyone here is close to it though..."

Kiton wanted to prove himself to them but he was getting all flustered over something he didn’t understand, finding what Takeshi was telling him to be a little bothersome. He could have friends, but there was more to it than that considering he had never got them before, proving to be a lot harder than he thought to retrieve. He was sure there was something else to it than that and it typically started with the other person liking you and wanting to get to know you, but this guy just wanted to train and when they weren’t training the guy was unhappy with him. Frowning, he gasped a little when Takeshi floated towards him, looking at him up and down before staring at him as he spoke. He couldn’t help but feel he was being spoken down to with all of this, like he was a simpleton or being stupid. Raising his fists slightly he felt disappointed when Takeshi refused to fight on, his eyes going to his brother quickly before he lowered his fists, backing off. “…Fine. I won’t continue. I am not fit for battle”, he spoke, rubbing his wrists, “I know when I’m supposed to turn away from a fight…”

Shu didn’t really hear what they were talking about up in the air but at the mention of fruit he immediately got all giddy, bouncing up on his toes in excitement. “Yeah! Fruit! I wanna get fruit! I hope fruit isn’t far!” he squeaked before looking around, seeing if there was any in the forest. There probably was and that would be convenient, but if not then they would have to go travelling probably to try and find some.

Viral didn’t know how he was supposed to handle all of this if he was just going to get frustrated and angry over the past. The past was supposed to make him feel better and have him look on the things that made him a better person, but so far all that could come to his mind was an intense hatred he continued to have over everything that happened, even the stuff that seemed quite innocent. To know there was always going to be someone laughing over what happened in the past made him feel embarrassed, as if wishing for him to not remember those events again, but that thought was just delving into deeper territory that was closer to the memories he continued to retain. Staring at Aito as he spoke he frowned and slowly looked away when he realised he wasn’t going to get a true answer out of him after all, just some vague responses that would otherwise be dismissed. He just wanted to understand what he was supposed to be, not told he could be ‘whatever he wanted’ when that wasn’t his purpose in life. He needed a purpose, otherwise he was just an affront to nature. Keeping his eyes off Aito he made a quick glance when Aito touched him, staring at him before giving him an angry glare. “So you think that too? That he didn’t even-…and trying to sell me off…he could had just let me go! If I didn’t take the Dragonball, he could had-…” he paused, staring down at himself before letting out an annoyed growl, throwing his paw back to get Aito to back off, “You know, this therapy is over. I’m content, so just…get started on fixing my genes. I want to be able to eat and sleep again”.

T’charrl stared at Haku before giving him a little smile, sighing lightly and looking away. “More fun? I’ve not been very good fun then, huh?” he spoke before frowning, scratching his snout, “Using energy to fly is widely accepted though, I mean…my people seeing your kind fly like that is strange, but we know about it from the last Saiyan visit. Seeing how common it is off my planet just makes me wonder how kept in the dark my planet is”. Maybe he shouldn’t think of himself as so strange, especially when he didn’t know what other kinds of aliens they would pick up next if any. He was odd, but maybe he was just afraid of people judging him after seeing what he could turn into and associate that with how he looked now. He could probably continue to evolve until he was god-like in power, certainly making him a force to be feared even by his friends; however, hearing Haku lamenting over power made him feel curious. “Super strong? Does everyone…admire someone who is super strong?” he asked, tapping his claws together, “Just wondering, but uhh, are the super strong also, umm, ‘super feared’ too? Do people want to stay away from them or do they get more people to like them?”

All the fun of their match was kind of being deflated when Kiton started to question it, making Takeshi reluctant to go on. Sure it was a competition, but it ought to be enjoyable too, at least to some degree. The fact that the Frost Demon couldn't seem to just have fun with it was disappointing, but perhaps just as well; Kiton was still banged up from before, he wasn't exactly fit to be fighting at the moment. Hearing the other guy say it though made Takeshi cringe slightly, hating how dejected he sounded over it. "Hey... Uh, for someone not fit for battle you did really well," he said, blushing awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his neck and looked away, "Just don't sweat it. We've got plenty of time to train and we can do it when you're better, you know? No hurry." Jeez, he didn't want to be the apologetic guy or the one trying to cheer someone up, he wasn't good at that. Hoping to change the topic he quickly turned to Shu, knowing that bringing up fruit would bring the little guy to a really excited state. "I have no idea buddy, that's what we've gotta find out," Takeshi answered, smirking as he glanced back at Kiton, "You wanna come find some with us, or you heading back to the ship? We might find an animal or two to fry up along the way, or maybe some fish to snack on..."

"Do you honestly think he chased after you solely because of the Dragonball? That he values you so little?" Aito asked, his expression changing to one of concern as he frowned, his brow furrowing slightly, "We cannot stop this on that note, you'd be insane if you think I'll allow it, I'm sorry." Having to step back to avoid being smacked, the doctor looked at Viral for a moment before letting out a sigh, rubbing his forehead with one hand on his hip. "I cannot speak for Vegeta, though I have spoken with him about this. He seemed sincerely apologetic for what he had done, and I've no reason to think he was being insincere. As for his reason for chasing you, that I cannot tell, but we can ask him," Aito added as he reached into his pocket and withdrew a visorless scouter, placing it on his ear to get in touch with Vegeta, "You want to rest easy yet you don't want to address this... We cannot do one without doing the other." Cycling through the channels on the scouter he managed to find his other son, letting him know he was needed in the atrium. Viral wasn't going to want this, but if he truly thought he meant nothing to Vegeta then they had to prove him otherwise here and now. "We can begin your gene therapy after this, but I won't put this off any longer."

"No no no, that's not what I meant! You've been plenty of fun!" Haku said quickly, giving a small smile as he shook his head, "I mean that being different is fun! Things would be boring if everyone was the same here, got it? And so is using wings to fly! Birds have wings, I'm sure there's... I don't know, a hundred billion or whatever different animals all over the universe that use wings to fly. Just because you use both doesn't make you any stranger than us! I mean look, we're basically humans with tails that can fly around, that's pretty weird!" Ooooh he was starting to ramble to try and cover his behind, this wasn't turning out as smoothly as he liked. Haku wasn't going to let T'charrl get the wrong idea and end up upset though, not if he could help it. "I guess it depends on what kind of person you are? People loved Goku and he was probably the strongest Saiyan ever, but now people hate the King and he's the strongest right now. I think it's not the power that makes people admire or fear you, it's what you do with it," he mused, "So uh... Like how you're really strong, but we all like you, because you're a good person!"

Kiton didn’t know if he was making a very good impression with all of this, feeling like he was giving off a rather negative vibe. He wanted to prove he was good and capable of fighting, but he didn’t understand the concept they held their training under and only grew flustered and confused. He needed to prove himself somehow, but this didn’t seem to work. Coming to the conclusion that he should just quit with this training and settle on his defeat through ill health, Kiton slowly lowered himself to the ground before looking to Takeshi as he was approached again, frowning as he spoke. He didn’t really know what to say about that, but it sounded like he was trying to not make him feel bad. “Uhh, I guess so. I suppose I should see after I’m better”. Not entirely sure if he was okay with that he knew he would have to run with it for now, seeing how he wasn’t going to have many other chances to prove his worth. Not knowing if Takeshi and Shu were going to go without him he remained standing in the same spot, staring at them before Takeshi looked to him again with an invitation to joining. “Uhh, what? You’re going hunting?” he asked, slowly moving after them after brief hesitation, “You people really are poor, huh…?”

Viral didn’t respond to Aito, keeping him eyes averted as he simply went to lean his head on his hand, his knee close to his chest. There was no reason to question it if he knew it to be true, knowing if he just left without it he wouldn’t had been pursued. Vegeta was already trying to sell him to get rid of him, so why not be happy when he was finally gone? Just wanting to get on with his other treatments after that wasted effort he made a quick glance to Aito in suspicion, seeing him take out a communicator. He didn’t want to speak to Vegeta, it didn’t matter anymore when it was in the past and easily something that could be denied or masked. Growling angrily as he made the call he looked away and folded his arms, scratching at them in frustration. “It’s going to be pointless! I don’t know why you try! Nothing will change, it will still be the same after all this so why do you insist on trying?”

T’charrl was trying to understand what Haku was saying but he didn’t really know if he could be compared to a bird when he looked different from what he had been taught of them. He still felt pretty strange to be the odd one out, but he probably shouldn’t like he was being told. “I suppose. Humans can’t fly? But I got taught by one how to use Ki, shouldn’t that mean they should be able to fly?” Feeling a little confused he let out a sigh, contemplating about his uncontrollable ability to take in energy that was being expelled. It made him stronger even if slowly, at least the intake from training had been slow. He didn’t know if he should try and control it or leave it unhindered just so he could get stronger, but he didn’t know if that made him a bad person or someone to fear. He thought of himself as a good person, but he still wasn’t sure. “You really think I’m a good person? Even after what you’ve seen of me?” he asked, looking down at himself, “I have just been thinking about my abilities and just thinking…maybe I should let my power grow if that’s the case? I was told my people wanted to gain power by tapping into a spirit’s power, but even if there was someone else who merged with one and became a monster I still got over the monster part! I was thinking…maybe I let them grow instead of trying to hide them. Do you think I should? Am I a good person for wanting that power?”

Takeshi hated to call off training like that, but where so many of them were already hurt it wouldn't do much good to make Kiton even worse. Come to think of it, why hadn't they healed him completely again? There had been some reason for it but he couldn't recall, and now that he thought it over it seemed kind of mean. Maybe when they got back to the ship he could take a quick hop in one of the tanks, shouldn't take much to get him better. Now that they had done a sizable bit of training it only seemed right they eat, and goodness knows Shu didn't need to be told twice to find fruit. Whilst neither of the brothers were overly familiar with Uuonoe they had eaten some fruit their last time here, and so long as they stuck to the same kind they ought to be okay. Starting to move off, Takeshi paused when he realized their group was one short, glancing back at Kiton and waving him along. The comment on being poor confused him, tilting his head before giving it a shake and continuing forward, "Poor has nothing to do with it, hunting is just fun too do," the Saiyan explained, smiling as he glanced over at Shu, "It's how both of us grew up, and we're pretty good at it, aren't we Shu? We can get a ton of food this way, you know, and it's all ours!"

This was clearly going against Viral's wishes, but it was also something the Beastman had to hear. Vegeta had been earnest earlier when he was lamenting what he had done, yet it amounted to little if the man who had suffered as a result didn't hear it as well. His son wanted only to take care of Viral, unfortunately it had just proven to be a bit much considering everything else in his life at the time. After finishing the call, the Beastman wasted very little time in showing his disapproval over what had just been done. "Can you say for absolute certainty that nothing will change? Nothing at all?" Aito asked, frowning as he looked at his son curiously, "If Vegeta came in, groveled before you and explained everything himself, if he begged for forgiveness, that wouldn't change a thing? I can tell you're hurt and confused over what happened, you feel betrayed and don't know where to trust or who to turn to. Furthermore, I would imagine you're feeling skeptical as to the sincerity of our efforts here, or if we're simply doing this out of guilt." Letting out a soft sigh Aito walked away from the bed, looking out through one of the glass walls at the city beyond. Locals were still hard at work it seemed, carrying loads of materials back and forth to repair damaged structures. "When you love something as much as a parent does a child, it is irrevocable. Nothing you say or do will make me care any less for you, and I will work until my body fails me to make you well again. I cannot speak for your brother, but I'm certain he feels similar. You are our family Viral, and we will not abandon you nor allow you to continue to live as though you've nothing left. Until you realize this we will not stop trying, and we will not stop helping you."

"I... Uh... Well I mean most humans can't fly, at least from what I saw," Haku explained, pulling at his fingers uncertainly, "They all had these flying vehicles they used in the cities, none of them flew like we did. There definitely are some who can though with Ki, like Yumi, but I never ran into any of them." Anyone could probably be taught to use Ki, it was whether or not the person was willing he supposed. Even for a Saiyan, a peoples who were known for Ki control, it had been difficult to master it; Haku's grasp on Ki couldn't quite be called mastery though, what he knew was really just the basics. Kicking a small rock away in thought he glanced back up at his friend, offering a smile and nod of his head. "Yeah, I don't get the vibe that you're a bad guy, or anyone here really. I don't know... Sometimes you can just kind of tell what sort of person someone is, and even though I was scared at first I didn't think you were bad," Haku explained, "Uh... Can I really answer that? I mean it's kinda a big question. But if you want my opinion... I think you're not bad for wanting it. You just want to protect your friends, right? And when you're home you want to be a good leader and all, you need strength for that. As long as that's your reason for doing it I can't see any reason why that makes you bad." Chuckling slightly he itched at his nose, feeling awkward that he was giving someone the equivalent of life lessons here. It made sense though, didn't it? Power didn't make a person bad, it was how they used it; Yamate abused his power, making him bad, but if T'charrl didn't do bad things with it then the power itself wouldn't change him at all. At least... Haku didn't think it would.

Kiton was struggling to understand this group, even though he thought he had it all down by now. They didn’t appear to be the type to want to get involved in anything to do with the planet’s people, yet they travelled between them like they were visiting someone. They stopped at a big port by the looks of it, but he didn’t even see the apparent rebels that owned it. It was weird to be around them and to try to understand them was difficult, but maybe he shouldn’t try and just be aware that they were going to be different than what he was used to and would continue to do so even if he questioned their motives. Slowly making his way after them he stared at them, not entirely sure what the pleasure was in hunting over just getting food from the city. “You know…there’s money and food made by others available for a reason. Doesn’t hunting take a long time?” he asked, slowly rubbing his stomach, “It would be so much easier to just…you know, buy it. If you don’t have money, then whatever…stealing works pretty well if you’re too fast for them to see”.

Viral had half a mind to just leave, only coming back when Aito agreed to help fix his genes. He thought therapy on his mind would help but it really didn’t, only managing to put him off it completely. It was hard to see how this was going to work, but now Aito was only managing to anger him further by getting Vegeta to come over. As Aito tried to explain himself and his reasoning for everything he raised his shoulders slowly, getting frustrated even more before letting out an angry huff, shaking his head. “I told you to leave it be and you completely went against that! Just because he will be begging for forgiveness doesn’t change the fact that it happened and probably continued to happy up until you took me off his hands”. He was sure everybody was fed up with him and his problems, just wishing they could find a solution so he’d be alone again. The whole talk about him being his child was getting tiring too, feeling it was being drilled into him too much as if trying to remind him he had a family. He didn’t remember feeling like he was part of them, he wasn’t even the same as any of them. “Tch! To have a family, you’ve got to feel like you’re a part of it. I don’t even know what family feels like, nevermind what it’s like to be part of one. You’re wasting your breath with all that family stuff…”

T’charrl’s antennae twitched, tilting his head. “Yumi is Human? It is true? I thought she was like Viral. They smell similar”, he spoke, thinking about it for a moment, “Then again, I did see some unusual Humans too. Some looked like animals with clothes on and Human bodies…but still animal…” Earth was a strange place and he would definitely like to visit again, even if he was unusual for that place. Watching the rock bounce away, he slowly tilted his head before looking back to Haku, smiling at his logic on power. Nodding a little each time he finished a sentence he leaned a little closer to him, looking at him as if trying to tell if he was giving an honest opinion or if he was just being kind. Finally moving back he looked down at himself, his claws to his chest. “Okay! I just want to protect friends and be a good leader! I’m not a bad guy for this…uhh, desire to be stronger for them. I don’t want to fight my friend’s personal battles, but that doesn’t mean I won’t back them up with my power”. He couldn’t be honest with Haku and tell him he actually craved the power and had been ever since he changed. He had been fighting against that craving for a very long time, but maybe fighting an endless battle was just the exact wrong thing to do. He needed to embrace it, control it and use it as an incentive to gain more power. “That settles it then. I need to stop fighting it. I want the spirit to become a part of me so it doesn’t have to remain trapped. I need its help with this! If the others don’t like it, then…then they will accept me with time. Maybe I can learn how to fully return to my complete dormant state too! No orbs sticking out of me, no spines…normal me again…”

Now that Kiton was tagging along they could finally get moving, hopefully find themselves a decently large meal after training. It hadn't been all that strenuous really, but it didn't take much for either of the boys to work up an appetite it seemed. Following alongside Shu, Takeshi daydreamed briefly about getting another big fish until the Frost Demon's voice broke up his thoughts. "Eh? We're not gonna steal from these people, that'd be wrong," the older boy commented, smiling sheepishly as he looked at Shu, "Though we kind of did steal from those soldiers on Kaesstra... But they were jerks! The people here are nice, you know? It wouldn't feel right. And who cares if hunting takes a while? That makes it all the better when you finally get to eat!" If they just went right ahead and tracked down a large animal too then they'd only have to kill one thing, which should cut their time significantly. Shu was easy by comparison, soon as they found some fruit he could go bananas, no pun intended. So far he'd not seen much in the way of fruit, but that was probably because they were still pretty close to the city. Once they got out a bit deeper they should find plenty of fruit, and tons of animals to hunt to boot.

"You're right, it doesn't change that it happened, but he can make amends for it," Aito offered in rebuttal, "Vegeta doesn't feel proud over what he'd done, and I'm positive he'll do whatever it takes to regain your trust and bury the hatchet, so to speak. Just give him a chance, at worst nothing changes, at best you both feel better for it and can move on with your lives." The doctor would not comment about Viral trying to be sold still, if only because his response was a bit callous; in his broken and unpredictable state no one in their right mind would take his son, a sad but true assessment. Even the Saiyans wouldn't want him back now, of that he was certain. "Am I? At one point in your life you acted as though you were part of it, even if you were different. You're focusing too much on physical appearances, but family extends beyond just that. Family is something you can call home, its people who you feel connected to and can trust. Family isn't just biological either, they're anyone who you consider close and would entrust yourself to. I know currently it's hard to see that, but everyone around you is more or less your family. You may not be outwardly close to them, but I'd wager that most everyone would give a lot to see you happy or safe. Once we make some headway perhaps you can see this for yourself, and maybe that will help you feel better too."

"I think Yumi was part of a program the King was doing, trying to turn people into... Whatever Viral is. From the way they talk about her though it sounds like she was just a human before though, which has to suck..." T'charrl and Yumi shared that then, didn't they? Albeit T'charrl was still his same species, just looked different; Yumi was the same as Viral now, and while both of them looked similar to humans, according to his friend anyways, they smelled differently. It was hard to say since Haku had seen the hairy, animal-like humans as well, but they were different from Viral and Yumi. Getting lost in musings over the morality of power, a concept most definitely well over his head, he blinked in surprise when he found T'charrl near leaning into him, apparently scrutinizing him for something. Smiling sheepishly and awkwardly he chuckled when the alien seemed happy with his reply, breathing a silent sigh of relief he'd said the right thing. Hearing T'charrl come to some sort of revelation was nice, even if Haku didn't fully understand what it was he was talking about. "You're everyone's friend no matter what you look like, don't think they don't like you now just because you're different," he added, nodding his head before smiling, "I mean... They accept someone like me, and look how we met. If they can do that then they can definitely accept someone like you, no question. Whatever you decide they'll be behind you, just like how you want to be behind them. Heh... Guess everything works out in the end, huh?"

Kiton could probably do without the hunting part, but he was probably going to be fine with leaving them to the hunting part. He wasn’t fit for all that and didn’t know how either, especially when even trying to blast them with energy would probably end with the prey being blown up or overcooked. He had a lot of Ki still going strong in him and using it was no problem, but he wasn’t going to risk ruining perfectly good food or wasting time trying when he could just get these people to do it. Staring at Takeshi he frowned when he just gave a strange excuse for his own stealing, sighing lightly. “I don’t know these people. I don’t know if they’re good, I don’t know if their food is good either. Whatever, if hunting isn’t going to take up too much time then I don’t care about them. So long as you do the hunting, I’ll happily sit back and watch”. He didn’t know what they’d find but hopefully it was edible and not some gross slimy creature they had taken a liking to. “What do you two hunt, anyway? Just so I know what I’m getting myself into…”

Viral didn’t know if he would ever change his mind over Vegeta and forgive what had happened, seeing how the entire thing made him feel like trash for the longest time. He wasn’t able to have a normal existence or understand what that was, he didn’t even know what he was supposed to be for the longest time or why he was even made all because Vegeta was less than willing to give him a purpose and instead would try to pass him onto others to take him off his hands. Feeling fed up with all of this he did hope that Vegeta wouldn’t bother coming, seeing how it wasn’t a big deal when it was just him who was bothered by it. Glancing to Aito slightly he narrowed his gaze before looking away, still not believing what he was being told. “I was young and didn’t know better. You were conditioning me to make me believe I was not made with a purpose in mind”, he spoke before he sighed, looking to Aito, “Did you ever tell me? That I wasn’t meant for this innocent life and would be trained to kill? I don’t have a problem with killing, was that something you programmed into me? The RRA would had found out you were raising me like a child. They were never people who funded a project out of good will…”

T’charrl tilted his head. “Suck? Uhh, a bad thing? I think she looks pretty, I mean…not like your ears are weird or anything, just, umm…they’re better than them…” He did quite like her fluffy ears compared to their normal ears, but he wouldn’t say something like that to her for fear he may upset her or have people think he was in love with her or something. It was rather awkward thinking about it, especially when he was a male and of a different species. Trying to shake off that awkward thought he instead looked to himself and what his future was going to bring him. If power brought control then he would be happy with who he was, but first things first was he would need to ask in his sleep how to merge with the spirit so it could be free to be conscious while he was, so they could be one in the same yet still two minds and souls. Their power would probably be difficult to control at first, but it wasn’t as if his power was already hard to control. “They just didn’t seem happy with me when I was big. I don’t think they liked it when I was tall either”, he frowned, looking down at himself, “I can probably find those stages of metamorphosis again and prove they had more than just made me look funny. I need to figure out my strengths and weaknesses for each, why I changed into them in the first place. They’re supposed to hold some sort of advantage through something like…like evolution, I guess? My mutant form though, that just mutates and strengthens as I grow stronger. Nobody can accept that part of me and that kind of hurts, like I'm something they should fear. I’m not sure how that would work out in the end”.

"Look, I get stealing, I do. I wasn't exactly a good kid growing up, you know? Still not exactly an angel, but I try not doing what I used to. Stealing is easy, I won't argue that, but it's wrong. And besides there's bound to be plenty of animals out here to hunt, and unless we kill someone's dog or something I think we're okay." It was somewhat annoying that Kiton didn't want to partake in the hunt, it would be helpful to have another person helping track their quarry and kill it. Come to think of it, did the guy even know how to hunt? Being on the run all the time must mean he didn't have a chance to stop somewhere and look around, probably meant too the only way he did know how to get food was through stealing. "I usually go for fish, or something big and tasty looking. Shu will eat whatever I get, though he definitely likes fruit the best, don't ya buddy?" Takeshi asked, grinning at his brother, "Aaaand... Speaking of fruit, look up ahead!" Among the swathes of trees he could see bright yellow fruits hanging in the branches, resembling large, fleshy pine cones. Flying right up to the fruits he looked at them curiously, vaguely recognizing them from their last visit here. It had been used to help garnish the fish, hard to say what it tasted like alone. Smirking at Shu he reached up and plucked one free, holding it in both hands and offering it over to the younger boy, "Here Shu, you try it! Tell me what you think."

Aito felt a bit uncomfortable the more they got into this topic, really reluctant to share the exact details surrounding Viral; rather, it was the decisions that led to attempting the task in the first place he didn't fully want to divulge. Frowning he let out a sigh, crossing his arms and watching again as another group of Uuonians hurried by, one of them even stopping to wave, which he returned with a slight smile. "Our original intent was to create something to defend Earth in our absence, that much I've told you. It was the intent of the project up until your inception, but when you were actually born..." the doctor began, trailing off as he shook his head. He really did not like sounding so sentimental as he was bound to here in a moment, yet it was only right that Viral understand why his upbringing was so complex. "I couldn't see you as just a weapon, nor could June. No matter how you came to be you were still our child, and as such we did everything in our power to raise you as such. Obviously there were members of the project who hated that, who wanted you to be used solely for the reason we began, but I couldn't do it. Did I intend for you to fight some day? Of course, but I would never be able to solely say your existence was to fight. I simply wanted you to live, and by doing so find your own purpose. I was sure if anything ever happened you would fight, but I was never planning to force you to." Perhaps it was the fact that Viral was, in essence, their child as much as Vegeta was, maybe that was why he was so attached.

Haku had never thought much about Yumi's ears one way or another, only acknowledging that they were different for a human. So T'charrl liked those better than their regular ears then? He couldn't say why that was, scratching at his head in thought before dismissing it with a shrug. People liked different things, that was pretty much all there was to it, he couldn't say the alien was wrong for thinking Yumi's ears were nice. "Maybe they're just intimidated? You were pretty big when I first saw you, and you got even bigger when we started fighting. Look at us now though, we're practically... Well we're practically friends." Was that okay? He didn't know if he could call them friends yet or not, but at the very least they were getting along for the time being. "If you work on changing... Maybe they'll not be intimidated anymore? Don't you kind of change when you least expect it? Could be they're uneasy about that. But if you showed them you knew what you were doing then that might go away."

Kiton shrugged lightly, not too bothered with what Takeshi was trying to say when it was just him trying to justify himself. He didn’t think it was wrong if you were desperate and often he was, not exactly finding lots of people willing to serve someone like him. “Hey I get it, you probably feel guilty or whatever. It’s no big deal to steal, especially when they will have plenty to spare. I’m pretty sure if you’re poor or desperate, stealing is fine”. He did wonder how this planet took an alien like him, whether they’ll simply look at him or take offence that he was here. Listening to what might be on the menu he frowned, disliking the whole notion of hunting anything that’s big, especially when that meant more of a mess. He wasn’t big on messy food, especially when it was raw and had its guts out everywhere. Frowning at the thought, Kiton looked up at the trees to the strange looking fruit, not finding them entirely pleasing when it looked like they’d probably explode into a mess. Staring at the fruit he gasped when Takeshi grabbed one, backing off as if afraid that it’d pop.

Shu squeaked happily and reached up in Takeshi’s direction, hoping for the fruit. He didn’t know what it was but it sure did look delicious judging by the colour. Once Takeshi got the fruit he took it with a happy squeak, sniffing it curiously before chomping into it. It was messy and slimy but tasted and smelled super sweet. Sitting down happily with the fruit he chomped and licked it, smiling happily. “Yummy! Tasty good tasty fruit!” he giggled, looking up to Takeshi, “You try! You try yummy fruit!” Despite being happy with his fruit the look on Kiton’s face definitely spelled disgust over the fruit, tilting his head at his reaction. “No likely sticky fruit? It tasty!”

Viral would had left if he could, but unfortunately he was stuck on the bed with barely enough energy to move. He was sure this was part of Aito’s plan to get him to stick around for his treatment, but right now all he was getting told was vague answers to questions he really wanted the answers to. Hearing Aito speak of his past and how his plans were changed he simply sighed, looking away. He knew if he was raised to be the weapon he was created to be his future would be completely different, everything would had been different. “So they used me to kill you and June as punishment. They froze me to pretend it was an accident and when I had been revived again, they kept me under their control behind everyone’s back”, he spoke before sighing, rubbing his head, “Who knows how often they used me without my knowledge. They must’ve been doing so when I was taken for testing, only to become angered when Vegeta sent me off to collect the Dragonballs without their say-so”. As if Aito would know anything about that, he didn’t want to watch over him in the Otherworld. “You shouldn’t had harboured me like that, you might had been able to watch Vegeta grow up. All of this could had been avoided if you learned to denounce me as having any relationship to you and June”.

T’charrl didn’t think he was doing anything bad by thinking Yumi looked nice with how her ears were, finding the way Human ears to be to be strange and not very nice to look at compared to nice fluffy ears. Maybe he was just used to ears being like that on his home planet, but he did hope he wasn’t going to insult Yumi by saying he thought she looked pretty the way she does, not that he fancied her or anything too. Sighing lightly, he stared at Haku before giving a little smile, looking away before down at himself. “Friends…? Yeah, yeah I guess so”, he spoke, rubbing his chest. He didn’t know if it was Haku trying to be nice to him or him being genuine in seeing them as friends, but he did hope it was both. He liked how he could freely talk about his problems like this with him, finding him to be the only person who seemed fine with how he was. “Yeah…yeah, they won’t be scared. I-I mean, it’s not always unexpected! I think…I think I keep absorbing energy that’s released during fighting by accident and that causes a lot of it. I accidentally take it in and I don’t know how to fix that or stop it, so I guess that’s when they least expect it. I can feel when it’s coming, though…and it’s not a nice feeling, like I’m finding it hard to move and being squeezed. Who knows how many forms I can have if I just keep absorbing energy. I’m still scared after going through that big battle, how much energy I took in there without knowing it, also the others training on the ship. I-I get anxious! It makes me feel like I’m going to, but…I-I need to fix that…I need to control it, not take in so much energy, because if I do, I-I don’t know…” He could feel his anxiety building and immediately he was already trying to cool down, tapping on the orb on his chest before letting out a groan in an attempt to relieve it. “Maybe…I can change to look really nice too sometime, maybe like…like all nice looking like the spirit. I’ve only seen it in my dreams, but it’s really nice looking for a Kaesstrian and maybe I can end up not looking like a monster for once…”

"Got get the wrong idea, I haven't lost a wink of sleep over stealing from those guys. They were assholes, they deserved it, but these people don't. Especially considering their city just got attacked, you know? Us stealing from them now would be like kicking them while they're down." Plus they knew what they liked, it was just a matter of finding it out here in the woods. Getting caught stealing from people who were their friends and allies would be bad enough, but they'd look like total idiots if they didn't even eat what they took. Nor would they have to, it seemed like they had finally managed to find themselves a tree bearing fruit. They were pretty big, about the size of a head, and from what Takeshi could remember they had been tasty. Showing Shu the tree in no short order he fetched his brother a fruit, handing it over promptly and breaking into a grin as the little guy began to devour it. While he wasn't exactly holding out for fruit he was hungry, and the older boy figured to hell with it, he'd give them a try as well. Snagging himself a fruit he turned it over in his hands a few times, looking for the best way to eat it before simply biting into one of the puffy pieces, blinking as juice gushed out and dribbled down his chin. Swallowing the fruit he coughed a bit, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and looking at the food. "Wow, that's really sweet! Bet it'd go good with some fish..." Takeshi mused, smiling as he offered it to Kiton, "Come on, give it a try, it won't kill ya."

"It would seem that way, wouldn't it? It wasn't the ideal partnership, but I figured that those RRA fools would recognize the larger threat and not try anything..." Aito mused aloud, frowning as he rubbed at his forehead, "Those idiots caused more trouble than they can imagine, and from what I understand they were still trying to weaponize you. When we get back to Earth..." He was going to kill them, or at the very least kill Volkov. He was not a vindictive person normally, but for all the pain he had caused the doctor's family, never mind himself, the traitor had to pay. To think they had been trying to ruin Viral from day one, it was infuriating really. Closing his eyes and inhaling deeply to settle himself, Aito ran a hand through his hair before forcing another smile, turning back from the windows to face Viral. "So denounce one son simply for the sake of another? A parent can't do that, at least not any half-decent, self-respecting parent. It cost us our lives, sure, but I would have sooner died than toss either of you aside anyways. My only regret in the entire business is that I hadn't seen his betrayal sooner, I might have spared you becoming their pawn. But that's in the past, what's done is done! Let's try focusing on forging a brighter future, one where you have us in your corner, hm?"

The second that T'charrl had agreed to their being friends Haku broke out into a smile, more ecstatic than one could imagine. He'd never truly had a friend before, and his desperation to console the alien just now was a reflection of his want for one. Sure it wasn't his own kind, but then who cared? A friend was a friend, didn't matter what they looked like to him. He didn't much know how one went about even being friends, but he figured he ought to try being nice and supportive, he saw the others doing that a fair bit. "If you think it's energy that you're absorbing then why not get rid of it? You know, fire a blast or something, do something to spend the energy so it doesn't all build up and make you change." It seemed like an easy way to fix the problem, and because of that Haku felt silly for suggesting it; if T'charrl had tried fixing this then surely he'd done such a thing already! Smiling sadly as his friend became visibly uneasy, the young Saiyan walked over and gave him a pat on the back, just above the wings as not to hurt him. Would it hurt if someone slapped him in the wings? They seemed soft, best not to try. "Hey... I think you're fine right now, okay? I uh... I don't know what the spirit really looks like, but don't worry so much! Maybe you just need to figure out how to keep from getting too much power at once is all. You can block it out, can't you?"

Kiton didn’t know how he felt about that fruit or whether he’d be happy enough to eat it, watching as Shu simply shoved his face into it and starting eating it that way. He didn’t like getting sticky or covered in juice like that, feeling a little sickly just watching the kid chomp into it. Frowning, he looked to Takeshi who proceeded to get some fruit himself, chowing into it all the same if struggling a little with its juiciness. He would probably prefer the thought of a corpse over chowing into that. Taking a step back when it was offered to him he shook his head, looking away as he rubbed his stomach. “I’m sure it’s perfectly fine for a Saiyan, but I prefer staying clean when I eat and that is rather messy”, he spoke, shaking his head, “I’m sure it tastes nice, but my kind don’t exactly like getting sticky…”

Viral didn’t think Aito having a say in any of this mattered when it was all in the past and one he didn’t really have much interest in watching over when he was growing up. Maybe he was bitter, but he had a perfectly good reason to be bitter when it was his existence that had been messed with and his entire future too. “What would it matter? Someone else will pick up on me once you’re gone…again. The RRA would be the first to want me. They already know my weakness and managed to pass it onto the Saiyans too. They will have control of me, one generation or the other. I am partly their property”. Viral was just starting to accept what happened to him when Aito was ready to bring up a fuss about it, not simply accepting the fact that he just wasn’t a real son and wouldn’t consider himself as one. Vegeta could have had so much more than what he had now and yet Aito continued to focus on trying to hide that fact despite it being absolutely obvious that it wouldn’t had happened if he didn’t exist. “Hmph, yeah, forget it happened. Focus on whatever future…except I can’t see what that is. I can’t see what I was like before and I can’t see if I have a future”.

T’charrl did wonder if Haku truly was fine with talking to him like this, but it wasn’t as if he ever had anyone to talk to regarding his abilities and problems he faced with them. He never really had someone who could talk to about them without feeling he was going to end up scaring them and making them feel absolutely awful. He felt awful about his powers but it wasn’t as if he was going to be able to talk about it with others properly, especially with how they tend to react regarding it. Frowning at Haku’s idea he quickly shook his head, looking around himself quickly. “I can’t do that anywhere I want! Especially in the ship…” he spoke before sighing, scratching his cheek, “It does decrease again after a while, but sometimes it takes forever. It doesn’t make me any stronger either to hold it in anyway, just more unstable. Firing it off means it might hurt someone somewhere else or blow a hole in the ship. I can’t do that…” He would feel too much guilt if that ever happened and would probably end up feeling even worse about himself. Feeling a little stressed out he gasped when Haku patted him on the back, looking to him curiously as he spoke. “Block it out…? I don’t know how to do that. That’s my problem because I don’t even know I’m taking it in until I start to feel it. It can hurt sometimes or make me feel ill and then before long I…can’t do much about it anymore. I guess I’m not so scared about it as I am scared of hurting others because I can’t control it”.

Takeshi figured he ought to at least humor Shu, even if he didn't particularly want fruit. It wasn't bad if a bit messy, not something he'd have on its own but certainly a good side dish for something else. Wiping away the juice that had dripped out he chuckled slightly amused, deciding to hang onto the fruit for now for when he found something else. "There are worse things than getting sticky, you know, but hey if you don't want any..." the Saiyan replied, shrugging as he glanced to his brother, "You can have mine too if you want more, let's find something for Kiton and I to eat, yeah? You can fly and snack can't you buddy?" So long as they didn't dash about erratically Shu should be more than okay to fly with them. Starting to head off in the same direction they had been, Takeshi began looking around the forest once more for any sign of animals they could bag. Something big ideally, he couldn't care less whether it was a meat-eater or a planet-eater, everything tasted fine. Maybe he could even use this fruit as bait for something, though who knows how long it could take for something to take it. Maybe not then, it was just as easy to track something down and kill it, definitely faster; if they knew what they were looking for it would be faster, but the only thing Takeshi was familiar here were fish, and there weren't exactly fish crawling on the forest floor.

"No one is going to touch you, no one will be able to. I'll find a way to undo whatever it was that allowed Volkov to trigger you, and you'll be strong enough to resist anyone who even thinks of trying to tame you like some common animal," Aito remarked, frowning with disdain, "Besides, I'm not going anywhere for a while yet Viral, you can count on that. Nothing is going to take you away again, I won't allow it. Even if the King comes back and tries to recruit you again I won't allow it." No one would take Viral away again, not with everyone pulling for him now. There were a lot of obstacles in the way, of that there was no doubt, yet the Beastman was not alone in dealing with them and he would succeed. "You do have a future, and don't worry if it's not clear to you now, it rarely ever is. The future is for you to decide, depending on how you recover and where your desires lie. If you wish to fight then fight, if you want revenge than seek revenge for what was done to you. Know that whatever you choose to do with yourself we will support you, however we can. Even if I give you a purpose don't feel that you must follow it to the letter, I don't want you to just be a mindless puppet." Letting out a sigh after a brief moment of silence, Aito clenched a hand into a fist and slammed it against the wall along the glass, cracking the stone slightly, "Damn it Yamate... What are you thinking...?"

Haku really wanted to help T'charrl here, but the discussion had gone to places that were well beyond his realm of understanding. He didn't know what might help now, or what he could even suggest to try. After his idea of blocking out energy fell completely flat he felt a fair bit dissuaded, frowning as he lowered his gaze shamefully. "If you're worried about controlling it... Then work on control?" he suggested, shrugging as he rubbed at his face, "Maybe the Princes can help you with that, since I've never seen you attack either of them. I'll help too, if you want. We can give you energy and then help you relax when you have it, help you learn not to lose control and all. It's risky obviously, but maybe it's the best way for it?" They couldn't exactly just avoid the problem, avoiding things never solved anything. If Vegeta and his dad were busy helping Viral anyways then they had to make due with what they had, or who they had. Come to think of it too, didn't Yumi help out a lot with Viral? She kept him calm when he was going to snap, so maybe she'd be a good helper here as well.

Shu was a little confused by Kiton’s dislike for getting a little bit of juice on him, but then again he did look like the kind of alien who was probably sophisticated when around his own kind. Shu likened the guy to a cat in manners if that was the case, knowing a lot of jungle cats he knew preferred to be nice and clean even when eating. It was the guy’s own preference but it might cause him to get awfully hungry before they managed to find something. Chomping down the rest of his fruit he squealed happily when Takeshi gave him his too. “Okay! Find for Kiton-friend! I can fly and snack! I think…” Flying up slowly but wobbly he soon managed to stabilise himself, getting all giggly again before heading along with Takeshi, eating the fruit along the way.

Kiton didn’t really know what to make of the little Saiyan, especially with all that hair. The thought of how sticky that hair must be made him feel pretty grossed out. The fact that the two Saiyans looked so different made him wonder just what happened with the genetics if they were brothers, but maybe he was too used to knowing his kind always shared the same colours as their ancestors. He definitely wanted something else after seeing the kid chow into the food and would be willing to take anything at this point that wasn’t slimy and gross. Sighing lightly, Kiton decided to levitate after Takeshi and Shu, not feeling up to walking as everything was just beginning to hurt again.

Viral didn’t know how to respond to Aito, seeing how he was completely out of patience for all this talk. It was all going to happen whether Aito wanted it to or not, Aito almost sounding as if he wanted to be the one in control of his life. He was supposed to be the one who didn’t want to control his life, not end up talking about he was going to take control of the situation so others wouldn’t get him. “Hmph, you almost sound like you want me all to yourself…”he muttered, shifting himself on the bed, “The King wouldn’t want the scraps of what’s left of a warrior. If he saw me now he would sooner put me down than take me in again”. He just didn’t see a future for himself anytime soon with all of this happening and even when it was all done, there just wasn’t anything he could do that everybody would disapprove of. He had been conditioned into a certain mindset and everyone already disapproved of it. Grumbling at Aito’s words with disbelief he simply scratched his side. Feeling pretty fed up he simply wondered if he could sleep at this point, looking away before gasping when Aito punched the wall, immediately turning his head to him and narrowing his eyes. “What do you mean ‘what were you thinking’? Just because he got his hands on me??”

T’charrl felt he needed to calm down first and foremost before trying to think about his abilities. If he was all anxious he risked changing back into his larger form and he didn’t think he should put Haku through that, especially when he just got over telling him his deepest concerns about his powers. It’d be a bit of a friendship wrecker if he just talked about it and then suddenly changed. Looking to Haku he gave a quick nod, going back to staring at the flowers, slowly rubbing his face. “I have been trying, but I’ve not done a very good job at it…” Lowering his head a touch he didn’t know how to react to Haku’s question, feeling more confused over it than anything. Energy was still energy and who knew if it would just add to the problem. “I don’t even know if it’s me relaxing that makes it go away or something else. It’s not lack of energy, I need energy to change back. I get awfully dizzy after. Ohhh, this problem just feels like it’s getting worse. I just don’t want to die from all this because I lose control. I wouldn’t mind knowing how to start, first of all! The hardest part is starting…”

Shu ought to be more than content with two big pieces of fruit, and the eager squeal the little guy gave was proof enough of that. Now maybe Takeshi could focus on getting himself and Kiton something to eat, a real meal other than some fruit. He didn't get what the deal was with the Frost Demon, sure getting sticky was annoying but it never stopped him from eating before. Was the guy a clean freak or something? On the hunt for an ever elusive meal, the older boy took point once more and headed deeper into the woods, trying his best to keep the city on their left for reference; Uuonoe was still largely an alien world to them, getting lost out here would really suck. "So we've gotta keep an eye out for anything that might give something away: footprints, tufts of fur on plants, scratch marks, look for those kinds of things," Takeshi explained to Kiton, scanning the area below as best he could on the move, "Hunting's easy, once you get the hang of it. I guess it's a little trickier when you're on an alien world and all though, you know? Don't even know what we're looking for." So long as whatever they found wasn't all wriggly or gross looking it ought to be okay to eat.

"Hah... Well you are my son, and we've missed some fifteen or so years together, so having you to myself wouldn't be the worst thing," Aito joked lightly, smiling slightly as he lowered his gaze, "No one is going to do anything to you, you're safe now. We are going to get you healthy again Viral, mark my words. I will not cease until you're back to full strength, and even then I'll be here to offer support if you need it. I know your mo- Er... June feels the same way." He should at least try and avoid the familial titles for the time being, seeing how much discomfort they caused the Beastman; Would Viral appreciate what they were to one another once he was healthy again? Or would he still be as turned off to the idea as he was now? It would certainly hurt to have their own child refuse them, but after all that had happened Aito supposed he couldn't fully blame Viral. Becoming frustrated over hearing how hopeless Viral sounded about his future, the doctor inadvertently lashed out against the building, putting a sizable dent in one of the stone pillars in his anger. He may have let some words slip as well, words he just as soon never would have shared. Frowning hearing his son question them, Aito turned around and looked at Viral steadily for a moment, turning his attention immediately to the door with a smile. "Ah, Vegeta! Perfect timing!"

Why had he even accepted this call? Vegeta didn't know if he was up to the task of discussing this, it was still eating him up inside even after all these years. Knowing all that he knew now too made it a million times worse, there wasn't any way in good conscience that he could face Viral now. Nonetheless he had come along, respecting his father's wishes to try and reconcile what had happened. When he had landed outside of the atrium he stared at the door for a long, silent minute, contemplating some way out of this discussion. No... He couldn't chicken out, he owed this to Viral as well as himself to come clean with everything he'd done. Taking a deep breath he reached out and pushed the door open, slowly walking through the entry way and to the secondary door leading inside, easing that open as well. No sooner had he stepped inside was he greeted by Aito, smiling faintly in his direction and giving a small nod, turning his gaze then unto Viral. Swallowing uneasily he walked across the room, stopping just a meter shy of his bed and looking at his friend, or brother as it was, with a pained expression poorly masked behind a small smile. "So... Here I am... Uh... Anything you want to ask before I come clean?"

Furrowing his brow as he heard out his friend, Haku fought with himself to try and come up with an answer. There had to be some way he could help, but how? How did Saiyans handle power and transforming? Maybe it was kind of like Oozaru transformations, or in particular those brought on by the moon. Those were kind of sudden and involuntary, but people could control themselves during it, couldn't they? Maybe T'charrl needed the same kind of training then? "Saiyans change too... To Oozaru, or a Great Ape," the young Saiyan began, looking at one of the flowers as he shifted his weight about a bit, "Kids can change but they don't have control, they don't know how to control it, but adults learn how to keep it under their power. Maybe... You could use the same kind of training they do?" It was a long shot, but that might be at the very least a decent place to begin. "I think Choi and Kai might know something, or Kabocha? They all must have trained to do that, maybe they can tell you what to do? Or even Takeshi, he must have used to have a tail right? I don't think Shu would know, but someone else has to. I know you're not a Saiyan, but the idea's the same, so maybe the same trick will work for you too?"
