T’charrl didn’t think he was that strong, thinking there was a little bit of exaggeration being put into her words, even if she was being nice. He didn’t know what he was supposed to say about all the flattery, whether she really was trying to encourage him to get stronger. “Show off how strong I am…? Uhh! O-Okay…okay, I would like that. I just hope I don’t scare you, or something…” If he could let Yumi in on his power struggles then maybe he might feel more comfortable discussing them, but until that time he wasn’t going to be able to talk about it very much without worrying he might end up worrying her over words. It would probably be better showing over trying to talk about it, especially when he gets rather nervous when he tries. Turning his attention to Vegeta he frowned at the culprit of the attack, looking to the others quickly before staring back at Vegeta. He didn’t understand how bad it was, but he knew the King was pretty strong. He didn’t know if he should feel left out with all of this, especially when he was the one who had nothing on the King. The King probably didn’t even know his species existed, nevermind him knowing the King back.

Shu was scared and unable to find the encouragement he needed to stand up, feeling completely overwhelmed with bad thoughts over the future. He wanted to find a way to get stronger before he had to go up against his father, but really he was just the same strength as before and hadn’t improved at all. Even if he had been training with Takeshi, he was always the one to lose out and couldn’t keep up with anyone or end up hurting someone in a way he wasn’t supposed to like biting. He found it hard to train when so many things freaked him out. Finding it hard to believe Takeshi’s words he squeaked a sigh, raising his shoulders. “A monster? But…I’m the one who becomes a monster…I don’t know how to feel about that…”

Shu didn’t know how to feel about Takeshi wanting to stand up for him, knowing he was probably going to get taken down by his father too. Takeshi couldn’t take on the two of them, one was surely going to go for him and that would be it. Looking up to him with a heavy frown he soon squeaked when Vegeta essentially told them off for doddling, feeling bad for it. He was holding everyone up with his cowardice. Looking away from Takeshi and Vegeta he slowly stood up, shuffling his feet. He really didn’t want to do this but he had no other choice.

While the twins were anything but thrilled at the thought of battle it seemed Kabocha had a rather interesting thought, both of the twins looking over to Shu before back again. Choi didn’t look too happy at that idea while Kai simply stared at Kabocha questioningly, finding the idea to be somewhat viable. Choi didn’t want to see that little monkey tear into the King even if it was the man they hated, but Kai thought if they could just keep Shu directed at the man they would hopefully be safe to run away until it was over. Kai didn’t know how to feel about T’charrl changing, especially when the guy wasn’t exactly in a ton of control. “Shu is just a one tiny ball of mayhem, but T’charrl is really big when he does, making him a pretty easy target unless he can suck all the energy out of the King too”, Kai spoke, waving his hand, “If he does that, I don’t even know what would happen to the King considering how that General Kaesstrian ended up looking after having his drained the first time it happened”.

“Yeah, but won’t T’charrl, like…mutate more with that much energy? The guy was already trying really hard to get back to normal and if he gets even further away from his original form, then what?” Choi spoke up, shrugging before looking to T’charrl, “Can you imagine him with the energy of a Super Saiyan? He may as well just turn into an Oozaru at this point. Besides…isn’t it…you know, ‘wrong’ to consider T’charrl and Shu ‘weapons’ like this…?”

"You're not a monster Shu, okay? No little brother of mine is a monster. After we kick their asses today we'll come back and I'll help you learn to handle that, got it?" Takeshi asked, smiling reassuringly as he reached out and gently poked Shu's forehead with his forefinger, "Besides... Monster can mean more than one thing, you know? You're not a monster." Now someone who killed a bunch of people, that was a monster. Someone who killed a bunch of people for the sake of their single sibling was pretty bad too, and he had done such a thing for just about a year. If anyone really deserved that label here then it was him, not Shu. One way or another he would keep his little brother out of the fighting, even if it meant going as far as knocking him out or something. It wasn't so much a question of whether they could beat their father and Krom, what with everyone here, but how hurt everyone might get; Shu was bound to be targeted, as was he, but Takeshi wouldn't let them get a hand on his sibling. "Look... I'll be at your side the entire time, okay? We can do it like we did on Namek, you stay on my back and blast 'em, how's that sound? They'll never lay a finger on you."

Kabocha had a brilliant if not cruel idea to save their collective hides, an idea that he was sure wouldn't fly outside this small circle of theirs. Nonetheless there was a chance it could work, and while people would be no doubt pissed at him it was likely their best shot of making it through the battle alive. "T'charrl can handle it, he's strong, and Shu is a ball of mayhem we can use. Just make sure he's pissed at either Yamate or Krom before he shifts and boom, we've got ourselves a rampant Oozaru on our side." There was a slight worry the idea could totally backfire of course and Shu turn on them, but then they had Takeshi or Yumi to help stop that. It wasn't foolproof, but he rather liked that idea as opposed to just throwing themselves at the King and hoping to beat him. Glancing at Choi as he spoke up, Kabocha gave a roll of his eyes before shrugging, sending a glance to T'charrl as well before back to the twins. "I don't know, maybe? He's changed back before though, he could do it again. And look Choi, we're all basically soldiers, soldiers are weapons. And what do you care if it means we make it out alive? Or do you mean to tell me you'd rather fight the King or Krom yourself?"

Yumi felt a pit gnawing at her stomach now, but like the others she was moving towards the ship. How were they going to a man like the King, especially when he had help with him? She had never really met Krom but vaguely knew the name, aware enough to know he was a thorn in her friends' sides. Vegeta didn't need to say how significant a win would be today, but she wasn't overly confident they'd be that fortunate. Letting out a soft sigh she frowned at picking up everyone's anxiety, glancing over at Shu and then Haku, seeing both quite uneasy and even trembling a little. With a sympathetic smile she changed course and walked over between the two of them, placing a hand on each of their shoulders. "Hey... We're going to be alright out there you two. We've got our friends to back us up, and there's strength in numbers, right? As long as we watch each other's backs nothing will go wrong." There was seven of them, they should be more than fine with so many people at their side. Stopping at the rear of the shuttle Yumi stood before Shu, placing both her hands on his shoulders and leaning down, placing a light kiss on his forehead. "You're a brave little man Shu, and it's okay to be scared, everyone is right now. But don't forget we're all here with you, nothing will happen so long as we can help it," Yumi said, looking up at everyone else, "That goes for all of you, let's make sure to keep each other safe!"

That was a wonderful sentiment coming from Yumi, but Takeshi sincerely doubted it'd work out: This whole mess started because they couldn't keep each other safe, what had changed between now and then? There were more people to worry about, Viral wasn't even going to be around this time and Shu was seriously freaking out before they were even on their way out. Alone he stood no chance against his father or Krom and he knew that, yet he'd still try to find a way to get at least one alone, make it easier on the others. Somehow he'd find a way to beat whoever he got matched with, so long as he could keep Shu out of harm's way. Putting on a smile for his sibling's sake, the older boy climbed into the shuttle, passing flying this time around as he figured his brother needed company in the back. Finding a seat he gave it a patting beside himself, waiting for Shu to sit and immediately putting an arm around his shoulders once he was seated. "Just think too, after we beat them today we'll be free, we can do whatever we want. I'm thinking we head back to Earth, maybe I can teach you some stuff and we can build you a room in my house, how's that sound? You won't have to sleep on the couch anymore."

Shu was having a hard time believing Takeshi, staring up at him with a frown and squeaking when his forehead was poked. He didn’t see any reason that he wasn’t a monster, he wasn’t like other Saiyans and he wasn’t like any Human so he had the struggle recognising himself as anything but a monster. He was not like anyone else and could be destructive and aggressive without control so the idea that he was anything other than a monster was not coming to him. “B-But I-…i-it’s going to be bad, and I can’t control it, a-and…” He felt lost for words and couldn’t excuse himself any longer, knowing it was going to happen. He felt pretty scared, knowing somebody could easily die by his hands if things went bad or he got too out of control. Looking to Takeshi he stared at him for a moment before looking away again, shaking his head. “Can’t do that with Father, he’s really fast and he’ll make us not be together…”

Choi really didn’t like the idea of using either Shu or T’charrl, especially when he knew it would make Yumi very mad. They weren’t to be used, they were still people even if they did have these nasty monstrous abilities. He would count Viral being in with that, but really he was still confused to what that guy was and whether that was just all a part of him and a normal thing for Beastmen or something like Shu and T’charrl had. Viral would probably be happy to throw himself into battle, but looking to Shu he could barely get over the fact that it was his father while T’charrl seemed less than interested yet concerned, but not enough to show he wanted to fight with all his might. “I guess…but still, it seems risky to me. I don’t want to fight either of them myself, but…”

“It’ll probably happen anyway, you know”, Kai spoke up, looking to his brother, “T’charrl just sponges energy so he’d probably change anyway and Shu would get angry again. It’s going to happen anyway”. There was no stopping them anyway, seeing how neither of them had any control over their abilities. It’s not like they had tried to help them either so they were guilty of that, but when it came to trying to it’s not like they knew what to do either. “T’charrl barely seems bothered even when he knows there’s going to be a lot of energy thrown around so he’s probably okay with it, can’t say the same for Shu, though. I’d say watch your tail with him”.

Shu really didn’t know how the battle was going to go other than terribly bad, knowing he wasn’t going to be able to fight very well and was just going to end up making everything terribly bad for himself and others. He wanted to avoid confronting his father, but he wasn’t being given a chance. There was no way he could stand up to a Super Saiyan and Krom, he was just going to endanger himself and everyone around him. Not finding too much encouragement in Takeshi’s attempts to protect him he looked to Yumi when she approached him, staring at her before squeaking when she kissed him. He didn’t feel brave, he didn’t know where Yumi was getting that impression of him. Looking to the others with a quick glance he slowly looked back to Yumi, giving her a nod. “I’ll try…I’ll try. I don’t want to let people down…” Slowly heading in with the others he moved towards Takeshi, looking at the seat before slowly climbing onto it, his toes clasping onto the edge of the seat anxiously as he tried to fiddle with his seatbelt to get it clicked on as Takeshi spoke to him about the future, his eyes going to his hand quickly. “Whatever we want…? Oooh…I would like a room and bed…” he muttered, slowly looking away, “Will I feel better about sleeping by myself after all this too…? This is still scary, too...”

"None of us want to fight them Choi, so that's why I'm saying let Shu and T'charrl do it when they change. They'll attack those two no problem, and I bet they're strong enough to even take Yamate down. They beat those two creeps, the war's over and none of us were hurt, seems like a win-win to me." Sure, the idea of sending those two into the line of fire wasn't super appealing, but then neither was doing the same deed themselves. Really the two of them changing was the best chance of winning and keeping casualties low, if not zero. Choi was not at all for idea, though his twin seemed to be more along with the notion. "Exactly, they're bound to change whether we want them to or not, might as well start that way and let them handle it," Kabocha replied, starting to move as everyone else was going to the shuttle, "We could support them, probably the best way for us to tackle this fight. I guess though we can't make them change, we'll just have to wait and see what happens." That was if they even changed before the fighting began, chances were it wouldn't happen until later, if at all. Loathe as he was to admit it Kabocha pretty much knew he was going to end up fighting, like it or not.

Takeshi didn't give a damn how strong those men might be, or what might happen to him in the process, he would protect Shu. Not an easy task to be sure, certainly not when one considered he'd like to protect all of his friends as well: Viral's kidnapping had been made infinitely more problematic due to this sentiment, it was his mistake that he and Shu had ended up in captivity, all over wanting to keep his friends out of it. Things were different now though, he was stronger and knew what both men were capable of, for the most part. "Dad's not going to separate us, okay? I'll never let him." Moving ahead of the crowd he got into the back of the shuttle, finding himself a seat along the side and getting Shu down beside himself. It wasn't going to be all that long of a ride out there, best to keep together and try and relax as much as possible between now and then. Hoping to perhaps distract Shu with a different topic, Takeshi brought up returning home to Earth and making some renovations on their house. "We can make a room however you want buddy, okay? We'll use whatever money we got left and make it happen," the older boy remarked, smiling sadly when Shu expressed his worry about being alone. He really hadn't been helping that problem at all, had he? It had all been hoping that they might forget about it, but he was beginning to have to accept that the problem wouldn't just go away. "After we finish today I'll start helping you feel better, and I'll get the others to help too. By the time we get back you'll be back to your old goofy self," he added, reaching over and playfully pinching Shu's nose, "You'll see, things will get better."

Yumi stood at the rear of the shuttle until everyone was inside, sending one last look out the back before sighing and moving in further. Vegeta wasn't kidding when he said he'd prepared the ship for them, there were crates of supplies lining the far walls as well as some sets of armor for them to use. This was going to be one long day, hopefully half of these supplies would never have to be touched. It was naive to think everyone was going to get out unharmed, but she could remain hopeful at the very least injuries would be minimal at worst, so long as people worked together. At the sound of the rear door closing up she glanced towards the control room, seeing Kabocha settling in at one set of controls. Smiling faintly she found herself an empty seat along the wall, easing down into it and looking around at the group again. It was a damn shame she still wasn't totally sure how to use her calming powers, everyone could make use of that right now. Though to be fair she was hardly calm herself, so it wasn't like she'd be able to do it anyways.

T’charrl didn’t know whether or not the three knew he could hear them talking about him, but he wasn’t going to say anything. It was pretty obvious when they mentioned his name, he could hear the sound of it from a mile away regarding words that were often said. He didn’t want to talk to them about it, he didn’t want to let them know he was listening in even if it was about him. He was going to be polite and keep to himself, but it still didn’t mean he wasn’t feeling a little concerned. They seemed to want him to change to make the battle easier for them. He was just feeling greatly conflicted at this point, only now wondering if it was the right decision to gain as much power as he possibly could to help his friends. They seemed to want to use him in such a way that would only make him a weapon. He felt a little confused, but he wasn’t going to say anything that would just make him anxious at a time like this. Finding a seat for himself he slowly sat down, adjusting the seatbelt for himself before letting out a sigh, contemplating to himself. He really didn’t know what he wanted or what to think, whether everyone here was expecting him to change and take down the King and were just being secretive about it. He was certainly feeling confused and concerned, wondering if he truly was here for that fact despite being dangerous.

Shu didn’t know how they might fight their father. It was all fine and good trying to reassure him that they’ll be fine, but he really didn’t feel there was a plan. They didn’t have one when the last Elites came to Earth and that turned out badly for all of them with Viral submitting himself in hope that it might save them, but all it did was push them further into the King’s den and have them right in his grasp. They needed a plan beyond just one person making them like that before something terrible happened again. Squirming in his seat uncomfortably he too tried to find distraction in the thought of home, still feeling scared that things were going to get much worse before they got better. Everything was not going in their favour and he could feel his confidence slide away, knowing what everyone was going to expect from him. “Should have…lots of money still…I think? I don’t know how money works all that good…” he sighed, rubbing his fingers together nervously, his eyes going to Takeshi before letting out a squeak when his nose was pinched, his hands going to his nose and giving them a quick rub. “B-But…that’s a lot to help me! I don’t know how I will get help from everybody…I mean, do they know how? I don’t know how…it’s hard to stop something when you’re asleep, you know…”

Takeshi wanted desperately to keep Shu at least moderately okay on their way out, however he might do that. Maybe the promise of home would work, as the little guy had rather liked their house during their brief stay there. "Well... I'll show you how it works too, okay? I'll show you how a ton of stuff works," the older boy replied with a smile, "I guess we're long overdue for some lessons, but when we finish this I'll start teaching you stuff, okay?" It was kind of hard teaching Shu about Earth when they weren't even on the planet, and it didn't make much sense teaching him when things were so different everywhere else. Shu did really want to know this stuff though, and it was about time they actually did teach him. "Vegeta and his dad will know what to do for you. And even if they can't help, I'll ask them what to do. Then I can help you, you know? And don't act like it's a pain buddy, they wanna help you and all, people are just busy right now." Or maybe they didn't know how to help him, though he doubted that was completely the case; Takeshi earnestly wasn't sure what to do with Shu, but the rest of their friends were much smarter than he was, they should have some idea. Reaching around his brother he grabbed the straps of the seatbelts, gently strapping him up and giving his chest a pat, "Just uh... Focus on getting home, alright? We'll be in and out today, and your big brother isn't going to let anything bad happen to you."

Yumi really wanted to try being positive right now, to keep both herself and those around her in good spirits. Doing so however was proving to be difficult, there was too much stress and negativity floating around to even try. Sitting in her place in the shuttle she leaned forward some, having to close her eyes and take a few deep breaths as she worked on forcing out all the emotions, managing to close them off to some degree and relieve the discomfort a bit. When she opened her eyes again she could tell everyone was nervous, but at least now she wasn't feeling it quite as much. Shu was trying to be comforted by Takeshi, and the twins were off by themselves as usual, with Kabocha taking the controls it seemed. T'charrl looked like something was really eating at him, and she was about to get up and check on him until Haku moved beside their friend, striking her as a bit odd but nonetheless making her smile slightly. So long as everyone had someone to help them out they would be fine, both here and on the battlefield. Easing back into her seat, Yumi pulled down her seat belts and strapped herself in, hearing the engines spark to life just outside. Hopefully it was going to be as easy as they had said, though she wasn't going to hold her breath for the King and his crony to just roll over for them.

"Hey... So we're really doing this aren't we?" Haku asked, smiling nervously as he sat down beside T'charrl. Chuckling uneasily he grabbed his seat belt and fiddled with it for a moment, trying not to tremble as he attempted to get himself strapped in. "He really doesn't like deserters, the King... And half of us are deserters... I wonder what he'll say..." Nothing good obviously, he was rather glad there would be others there with him. As an individual himself he wasn't terribly strong, and one could only hope because of that reason he wasn't going to be targeted for leaving the military; Why waste time punishing him when he wasn't a threat? Letting out a shaky sigh he leaned back into his chair, slinking down slightly as the engines came to life and the shuttle began to rumble. "Can we... Fight together when we get down there? If it's alright with you I'd like to," Haku said, glancing over at his friend uncertainly, "I'd feel a lot safer having someone strong like you with me, especially with who we're fighting. I don't know how much help I can be, but I'll do what I can." Feeling the shuttle lurch briefly, thanks to Kabocha's unfamiliarity with the ship, it finally rose up into the air after a moment and began moving, probably on towards their destination. Swallowing nervously, Haku shifted around in his chair and looked down at the floor, "This is going to be hard..."

Shu didn’t think much about Earth when everything else around him seemed more important, plus it had been a long time since he had been there now with all the travelling. He remembered being there for Viral’s party but it felt like so long ago that it happened. He had a lot of time to try and relax but a lot of it was spent in Space and not near his kind of environment at all, now he was having to go into battle with his friends where he could only hope he won’t freak out and lose everything. If he was going to manage then he would have to try and find some bravery within him and finally face his father without falling into the trap of losing himself. Thinking about Earth was slightly distracting, but it was still rather difficult. “What if it’s too late for help? What if I have been not wanting to get help for too long? Mister Viral isn’t getting better too…” Feeling that little bit less in control of himself already he shuffled around with his seatbelt, squeaking when Takeshi helped him out with it, staring at his chest a moment before looking up to Takeshi. “I need to be able to fight too, but…I don’t know. I don’t want to fight Father, but I don’t want to make people always have to protect me…”

T’charrl didn’t know whether he should be worried or force himself to give into the notion that he was just here to be used. They probably would’ve left him behind if he wasn’t unstable, making him feel a little sad to be here if that was the case. Sighing to himself he gasped when Haku decided to sit beside him as if he wasn’t expected it. Looking to him quickly he straightened himself out on the chair, looking to him quickly before away again, shifting his feet. “I-I don’t know what the King is like or what he will say. I don’t know anything about the King or what he is apart from a Saiyan”, he spoke, pulling at his wing a little to get it to align properly in a nervous twitch, “He’s strong, I guess, but…I don’t know. I don’t think he’ll care if you are a deserter other than making fun of you”.

T’charrl couldn’t help but feel pretty terrible about everything, only wondering if he was going to be able to keep it together and prove he was a perfectly able fighter without having to transform. He could surely harness the strength of his transformation, but then again he was completely out of practice with anything to do with his mutation. He was definitely a pretend type of strong when it came down to it and that made him a little upset, knowing he was only strong when he changed. Shifting slightly when the ship began to move he looked to the floor before to Haku, staring at him for a moment before looking away, rubbing his neck. “I-I guess…but I’m not very strong”, he spoke, shaking his head, “I don’t know if I’m going to be any good to be around if this King is strong, not unless I just change and get it over with. Everyone seems to want me to for us to win”.

"It's not too late for help, don't be silly. Viral's really bad so it's going to take a while, that's all. You're nowhere near as bad as he is, we can probably fix you in a couple of days," Takeshi replied, smiling as he tried to cheer Shu up, "We can help Viral, and we can definitely help you, so don't worry so much, okay buddy?" Compared to Viral, the little guy basically had no problems at all. Sure he had nightmares, but he was eating and sleeping, plus he could still smile and have fun. That wasn't really a whole lot to have to fix, and when they finished up on this planet they could finally get to helping it. "Well... How about you just help me, can you do that?" Takeshi asked, "I'll fight, you just help from the back, you know? Shoot a blast or two at him, just watch where he is, you know? I'll do the fighting, you be my back up." If the little guy agreed to that idea then everyone won; Shu wasn't going to have to fight their father and Takeshi didn't have to worry about him getting hurt. No doubt Shu would be in danger even then, but if he could just keep their dad preoccupied and the others Krom then there wasn't any problem. "We're gonna beat them, you got me? We're going to make them pay for hurting our friends, then we're gonna come back and make everyone all better!"

Haku wasn't sure what good he could do for T'charrl now, albeit he needed quite a bit of reassurances himself too; his friend had never seen Yamate, or probably even an Elite for that matter so he didn't have any clue what they were getting into. The fact that everyone on board was nervous ought to be indication enough, and he saw it potentially making his friend uneasy too. "If I'm lucky he'll just make fun of me. We're going to fight him though, I doubt it'll be that painless," the Saiyan lamented, sighing as he slouched back in his seat. Feeling the shuttle lurch slightly, Haku knew that their trip to Numina was beginning and he felt quite nervous about that. It was intimidating enough having to fight the Princes and T'charrl back then, now he was facing off against the King? Sighing softly, Haku hung his head before turning it slightly to look at his friend, managing a weak smile. "You're way stronger than most of us here, you'll probably be the one to beat him, just like with the monster," he answered, frowning when T'charrl mentioned changing. "You don't have to, you're plenty strong without that. That's... That's probably just them talking because they're scared, but I won't make you change and neither should they."

Even if they didn't have the coordinates for Numina, finding the world wouldn't have been overly difficult. There were only a handful of worlds out here by Uuonoe, and fewer still were colonized by people. If just looking at the world from space didn't make it obvious, then entering the atmosphere and seeing freshly razed cities scattered along the surface certainly did. It was far from the all-out destruction one might have come to expect from the King and his troops, but it was still nasty nonetheless; buildings were left smoldering and crumbled, and no doubt countless soldiers down below had lost their lives in the battles. Kabocha kept their shuttle up high enough to avoid any potential crossfire, that and out of a desire of not wanting to see everything firsthand. Saiyans were a bit cruel when they fought, he knew that personally, but the King had a special brand of cruelty for those who opposed him. If there were any survivors down below they were facing that gruesome scene now, and just thinking about it made his stomach churn uncomfortably. As they headed in a southerly direction he noticed that patches had evidently been spared ruin, which was odd considering who was here. Why would certain places be left untouched?

After looking around at the controls for a few moments Kabocha finally found the speaker system, having only barely familiarized himself with the console beforehand. Flipping it on he let out a silent sigh, looking through the glass of the cabin out at the ocean below them. "Alright... The distress call came from this direction, about a kilometer out. We should get there in a couple of minutes, but I'm putting us down before it, we'll go in on foot so the shuttle doesn't get damaged. Anyone got a problem with that bring it up here, but I'm not losing our only ticket out of here."

Unsurprisingly no one came forward to complain, not that anyone had any reason to. If things did go south then they may need to try and escape, and doing so without any ship would make things infinitely more difficult. Takeshi was fine with going in on foot anyways, it meant they might be able to get the jump on one of the men and land a good blow before the fighting even began. That would only work of course if everyone suppressed their energy to absolute zero, which while they had tried to before entering the atmosphere there was no guarantee it had worked. At the very least they hadn't been attacked just yet, which either meant they were still clear or wandering into a trap. Rubbing at his head he glanced over at Shu, seeing his younger brother still quite nervous over what was going on. "Hey... Hang in there buddy, it'll be okay," he said, reaching over and giving Shu's back a rub, "Like we talked about before, let your big brother handle the fighting, you just blast 'em from where you are and everything will be cool, got it?" They had refined Shu's Ki control somewhat, and now was a good a time as any to test just how well. Flight should be fairly easy at this point, and while they'd not done extensive practice with blasts he was fair confident he'd not get blown away by the little guy on accident.

Shu wasn’t sure if Takeshi was trying to reassure him that everything would be okay or if he really believed the treatment would work for Viral. It was hard to say if Viral was actually going to get better when he had no idea what Viral actually acted like when he was normal, whether this really had been going on since he was released all those years ago. It must’ve been surprising to Viral, but also frightening. To forget everything about your life and who you were before must had been traumatic enough to make him an angry person the rest of his life. It must had been a pretty bad life he started off with and that made Shu feel pretty sad. He did thought it was just part of his personality, but apparently according to the man who created him it wasn’t. Sighing lightly, Shu looked to Takeshi as he got all nervous about the ship moving. “I-I will still try to fight! I can’t…I can’t be weak forever…”

T’charrl knew he should feel nervous but he was really struggling, worried he might be lacking something because of his own mental state. He could feel everybody feeling nervous themselves, but he was feeling annoyed at himself for being so selfish and only thinking of his own problems. He was supposed to had gotten over his own problems, but hearing people speak like that about him only made him feel terrible about himself. He could only hope he wouldn’t disappoint people, but he hoped it would be under his own power and control just to prove them wrong. “I’m not that strong, I’m just a pretend type of strong, using someone else’s strength as my own”, he spoke, shaking his head and looking away, “It will probably happen anyway, knowing me. I’m not very good at control and they know that. Maybe I will stay in control…but probably not…”

----

The state of the planet below wasn’t something Shu wanted to think about, only hoping what he might see was just debris and not death and destruction. He had enough of that in the past and seeing even more was going to make him feel fairly sick and probably put him off coming out of the ship altogether. He was scared that he might end up unable to do any fighting at all, or anything else in the future with everyone all because he was a coward. He really needed to harden up and forget about these things, he had seen a lot of bad stuff when he was growing up after all so this shouldn’t be a problem. Sighing lightly when Takeshi rubbed his back he looked up to him, frowning a little. “Y-Yeah…but I don’t want you getting hurt either”, he squeaked, looking away with a shake of his head, “I should be able to fight for myself! But…I am too scared. Maybe you help me be strong too? I want to be able to protect too…”

As they slowly moved to find a correct landing spot T’charrl wasn’t feeling too good, but in a way that his nerves were starting to take over. He didn’t want to transform, it was very painful to transform and yet everybody was expecting that from him, knowing he was going to disappoint a lot of people if he failed to transform. If this man was as strong as they said he was then he was going to be in a lot of trouble and will probably feel pain anyway. This was going to hurt a lot and what was worse was he was probably going to take in a lot of energy too so the only way he could possibly avoid changing further anyway was to get completely beaten up. He was always going to have to put himself on the losing side and knowing he was going to have to feel a lot of pain for his own good made him feel terrible. Keeping fairly quiet, he shifted in his seat and played around with his seatbelt, anxious to get off.

"Heh... I've been hurt before Shu and I'll be hurt again, that's just how things go. But I can handle it, don't you worry about me," Takeshi said with a smile, "I'll protect you during the fight, that's all there is to it. As long as I got you helping me from behind I can't lose." He'd find a way to defeat their father one way or another, he'd give it every ounce of energy he had in order to make it happen. Frowning when Shu once again tried to put himself in the battle the older boy looked away as well, letting out a reluctant sigh before turning back and ruffling Shu's hair gently. "You really aren't gonna let me fight by myself, are you? If you've gotta fight too... Okay, but you stay with me the whole time, got it? I don't want you going too far away, want to keep an eye on you and all that, you know?" Chances were too he and Shu were bound to be targeted anyways, and spreading out just made it tougher to keep the two of them safe. Even if their father was stronger than them they certainly weren't going to go down easily, and Takeshi would sooner die than have Shu be taken back to Kortal again. A pretty grim prospect, but if his brother or any of his friends were taken away today then he might very well as be dead, it'd be just as bad if not worse.

Yumi could feel the pressure of everyone's anxiety quite well now, the whole of it bearing down upon her like a massive weight. In a way she wanted to get the fighting underway already, it would mean everyone would be too focused to be afraid, and in turn she'd not have this oppressive feeling right now. It was tricky to say how she felt herself, being swamped as she was. Leaning forward in her seat she closed her eyes tight, holding her head for a moment as she took deep breaths to try and shut out everything around her. Hearing Kabocha's voice over the speaker broke her concentration, forcing her to instead face the anxiety she was picking up instead of trying to block it out. When this was done with she had to learn how to deal with this better, she couldn't be getting all riled up and taut over other people's feelings. Feeling a particularly strong sense of unease coming from T'charrl she glanced over at him worriedly, reaching out and laying a hand on his shoulder. "As long as we're together everything will be fine," Yumi said, offering a small smile, "Krom was strong last time we fought him, but we're all stronger now too. If we deal with him first then the King we can beat them, we just have to be smart about it."

"I doubt we'll get a chance to just fight one of them though," Haku interrupted, frowning as he was staring down at his lap, wringing his fingers together nervously, "Neither of them are dumb enough to fight all of us alone, we'll have to split up..." Divide their already weaker forces to fight two strong enemies, why did he not like the sound of that? It was really their only choice though, it's not like anyone here was strong enough to fight either man one on one. The few of them who had tails could turn Oozaru to try and get a leg up, but that was a real bad idea when fighting someone as experienced as those two. "I... I think we can win, but it's going to get bad before it does..." Just what or who might they lose out here? Haku was no stranger to people dying in combat, that was just a fact of war; he was used to it, but that didn't make it any less pleasant. To top that off the people before had always been strangers, or someone who hated him, but these people were basically his friends. He didn't want anyone to die, or be taken away, or anything bad to happen, but experience told him something was bound to go down before long.

Things seemed oddly... Quiet down here. Kabocha expected tall pillars of smoke designating battle sites, ravaged cities and the countryside to be scarred and in flames. What he saw however as they reached land again was largely untouched scenery, with little if any sign of combat. A crater here and there sure, but nothing that one might expect from the King of Saiyans. It was like back up north, it almost seemed like they had begun to try and minimize damage, but why? Since when did those people in power care about collateral? "This feels weird... I don't like it..." he mumbled, frowning as he scanned the canopies and valleys for signs of movement. There really was nothing out here by the looks of it, nor was he picking up on any immediate energies. The nearest city it seemed was about 5 kilometers away from where they were, being the same place the beacon was originating from. This was probably good a zone as any to set down in then, no sense in risking their shuttle getting wrecked. "I'm setting her down everyone, hang on for just a second," he spoke through the ship's communications, bringing the shuttle to a slightly jarring halt as he awkwardly tried to stop it a bit too soon. Smiling sheepishly he fiddled with the controls for a moment, getting the rockets to die down and shift so they could descend, slowly setting them down among the trees. Best to place it somewhere concealed, it'd really suck if someone came along and did something to it.

When Takeshi felt the shuttle land he held his breath for a minute, perhaps paranoid that they would be hit the moment they had touched down. Others seemed to share his sentiment as no one immediately moved to get up, albeit it could just be nerves in going into the fight itself. After a brief moment of tense silence the door to the cabin finally slid open, Kabocha coming out with an uneasy smile on his face. Time to get moving then, they really couldn't up and leave now and sitting here wouldn't solve anything. Undoing his harness he turned to Shu and undid his as well, smiling as he got up and squatted before his brother. "Look... I'll say it again buddy, I'm going to protect you, okay? Fight with me if you've gotta, but I want you to listen too, got me? If I say back off then back off, let your big brother do the hard stuff."

Shu didn’t want everyone running around after him and his concern for everybody’s well-being was going to prevent him from ever staying behind the lines even if they told him it was best for him. He didn’t want to be looked after by everyone and never was he going to let people suffer for him. He wanted to show he was strong and fully able to stand up for himself, not ending up always being the one to sit back and watch as everyone else suffered instead. “But if you do lose…does that mean it was my fault? I really don’t want people hurting over me…” Feeling a little uneasy about Takeshi’s plans he frowned as he looked up to Takeshi when he ruffled his hair, letting out a sigh. “Okay…I won’t. I won’t go too far. I’ll be good”. He knew he was going to have a hard time fighting, but he didn’t want to end up becoming the victim again. He wanted to show he was capable of defending himself and not needing people to help him all the time, but it was difficult when everyone saw him as a weak, scared little kid.

T’charrl scratched at his leg using his foot when everyone started talking once more, trying to shake off this feeling. While every plan going through his head was only ending in the worst case scenario possible he gasped a little when Yumi reached out to him, touching his shoulder. Looking to her quickly he frowned slightly, giving the others a quick look before his eyes went to Haku. They both had conflicting ideas with one believing they could do it and the other having doubt that they’d have a chance with one watching over the other. “I-I…don’t know how they’ll fight. I don’t know what they look like or how to tell them apart. I don’t like how I’m feeling about this…” Everything was just constant unease over everything, even the others couldn’t give him the reassurance he needed to see through this problem of his. Things were going to go downhill fairly quickly and he was scared of disappointing others, wondering if he was ever going to be seen as a capable fighter beyond his changes or without people mentioning them. He knew the likes of Yumi did try hard not to mention them, but they were always going to be on people’s minds.

There was definitely going to be the problem of getting back in the ship if everybody got beaten up, only driving Shu further towards the urge to fight for his friends. He didn’t want everyone suffering because he couldn’t do anything through fear. He wanted to see if people could be proud of him and all of his hard work during a battle, he wanted to show people he wasn’t just a kid who was primitive and couldn’t defend himself. He was of age when people of his clan would become warriors and fight other clans, so he should be able to follow the example too. He should’ve been practicing with his weapon he got from Takeshi, he played around with it every so often but didn’t really know how to make it function properly. He would have to get a really durable one for battle if he ever did get one, just so he didn’t continuously break it. Hearing Kabocha on the speakers again he sighed lightly, pulling at his seatbelt, not at all prepared for the landing. While he was feeling rather tense he still had to remember he had everybody there to support him too. Looking to Takeshi when he helped him remove the seatbelt he frowned when Takeshi squatted before him, staring at him before letting out a sigh. “Okay…I’ll listen to you too. I will show I’m strong! I am still a warrior…right?”

"If I lose it's because I wasn't strong enough, it's not anyone else's fault. If what you're saying is the case then it'd be everyone else's fault too, wouldn't it? But you and I both know that's not true." If he lost it was because he couldn't beat their father, that was all there was to it. Despite the obvious gap in their strengths he wasn't thinking he'd lose, not with everyone else there to back him up. Compared to everyone here he knew the most about how their father fought, it only made sense then that he be the one to fight the guy. Giving Shu's hair a reassuring ruffle he smiled, getting back to his feet and unlocking Shu's harness as well. "Between the two of us we can beat that jerk, but you gotta be careful, you know? I can take hits better and I'm better trained, so let me do the tough parts and you help out, we'll beat him together." That was probably their only chance of winning really, they'd all have to do their part or otherwise it could end up the same way it had been over a year ago.

Haku wasn't helping the situation any by voicing his doubts, even if everyone was thinking it. They had to try and stay positive and keep a clear head, that was absolutely key when going into a fight. She had always been taught by her teachers to keep a level head when fighting, and while easier said than done it definitely made a difference. "It's been such a long time since I fought Krom, it's hard to remember how he fought. I've never fought the King before either, all I know is he's really powerful." It would have to be a numbers game for them, they'd have to wear the King down enough that they could beat him. Goodness knows how long such an effort might take, or how they might be by the time he was finally exhausted enough to be beaten; being stronger than they were the King had the advantage, as even if he grew weaker he was likely still a match for them, and it wasn't as if they'd stay in peak condition while he tired. "You'll know the difference when you see them... They're both intimidating, but the King is just... He's a bad man. I don't ever remember seeing him personally, but just being nearby gave you a sense of danger."

"Of course you're still a warrior, you always have been buddy! And today you're going to show everyone you're plenty strong by helping us beat father and Krom!" Takeshi said energetically, grinning as he clenched his hands into fists, "Be ready to give it your all, because when we're done they're going to be the ones down and out this time around!" If simply reassuring Shu wasn't going to do anything then maybe he could get him all fired up, make him feel more confident about their chances that way. Now that they were settled, Takeshi got himself and Shu out of their harnesses and gestured for his brother to follow, putting on a brave face for his sake as he moved to the rear of the shuttle. Hitting the latch by the door he waited as the hinges unlocked and it swung open, shielding his eyes briefly from the sun before taking a step out of the ship. It didn't look like anyone was out here waiting for them, they should be fine for the time being then. Looking around curiously he was surprised at how much it resembled a jungle, with vines wrapping around trees and hanging every which way, tons of plants covering the floor of the forests. Shame they were here for such a crappy reason, Shu would probably feel right at home here. Raising his arms up over his head in a stretch he turned back to the others, putting on a smile and waving everyone along. "Let's cook up a plan before we go running in, yeah? Figure out the best way to kick these creeps' asses."

Shu felt he needed some guidance to know just how he was supposed to combat his father when he had never fought against him before, feeling already pretty worried that he might end up humiliating himself. His father was very strong and would probably toy with him for being so pathetic and weak, at least that’s how he saw it. “I-I don’t want it to be other people’s fault too! I don’t want anybody to! Oooh, it’s really scary…” He was slightly freaking out over all of this. He was going to be in the centre of it all with his brother. Sighing lightly he lowered his head, staring at his feet. “You really think we can beat him…? I don’t know. I just hope Father isn’t going to be too mean to us…I mean, I just don’t feel very strong, is all…”

T’charrl didn’t know if he should be the positive one in all of this when everyone else seemed so negative right now, just to try and force out some sort of positive reassurance. It might make him feel better too, but then again that would mean he would have to lie to himself when he wasn’t feeling at all positive. He didn’t know this King and yet he knew he was probably going to fail everyone and himself. Looking to Haku when he tried to explain Krom he sighed lightly, not finding that at all helpful. It was all on the assumption that these two were powerful so that was not very helpful. “I guess it’s…still something to go on…” This was probably going to be worse for him when he was the only one who didn’t have any relation to the Saiyans or even the King. Their King probably wouldn’t waste time killing him. “If he’s a bad man, I don’t see him sparing me compared to the rest of you. If he knows everyone here but me, I don’t see why he won’t kill me”.

Staring at Takeshi, Shu gave a little nod and looked down at his own fists, trying to imitate Takeshi’s spirit. He wondered if he would be able to find that sort of spirit himself one day, but maybe it was only some sort of wish that he might be brave. Shifting a little in his seat he soon got up, following after Takeshi nervously before managing to peer out from behind him and out at the planet’s surface. It looked rather pleasant to him with strange plant life, reminding him of home in a strange way. Tilting his head as he slowly moved out he gasped when he backed out quickly, holding his fists up defensively as if something was going to creep out from behind. “Ah! Plan? How a plan? We should all hit at same time, right? He no can take everyone on…right? Oooh, that would never work…”

"Hell yeah we can beat him! He can do whatever he wants, doesn't change the fact we're gonna beat the crap out of him." That man had a lot to pay for, and for hurting his friends and brother Takeshi was going to make damn sure the guy felt it a hundred fold. He knew he was weaker, he knew they were all weaker, but they'd still go at those two with everything they had. Upon landing he was fairly quick to get out of the shuttle, wanting to move around and distract himself from his nerves. The planet was nice, which was kind of unfortunate since their reason for being here was anything but. Maybe if they finished up quick today they could come back sometime, enjoy the place and take a load off. Glancing over at Shu as he jumped, the older boy raised an eyebrow curiously and looked off to where Shu was looking, giving a shrug before smiling. "Well I figure the strongest fighters keep them busy and the others back us up. So kind of what you were thinking, only... Sneaky," Takeshi responded, smirking as he pointed to himself with a thumb to his chest, "I'll fight dad, and maybe T'charrl can fight Krom, to start anyways. If we can keep them busy then you all can take shots, we'll wear them down and beat them soon enough. I mean if we all attacked at once then we'd probably get in each other's way, you know?"

There wasn't very much that Haku could offer in the way of advice; fighting someone like Krom or Yamate was way above his level, he'd never even sparred with either man, let alone taken them on in a real fight. Sure, he said he had fought Krom before, but it was really more of getting kicked around and yelled at for messing up. Saying that the Elite liked to kick people around likely wasn't the most accurate portrayal of him. "Uh... Maybe we'll talk strategy before we go? I can't offer a whole ton, but the others probably can?" They had fought Krom before at the very least, surely they had a ton of information on what he was like. Seeing the rear of the shuttle open up Haku fiddled with his harness, managing to pry it off and standing up with a slight stretch from the long ride. "He won't kill you... We won't let him," he responded, frowning as he looked at T'charrl, "Besides... He uh... Doesn't usually kill the strong ones I don't think." Like Viral, he'd been taken because he was strong, so he had heard. It was a nasty thing to think about, but the King probably took those who were good fighters and made them fight for him, it had been done plenty of times before.

"No one's going to die here T'charrl, we won't let that happen," Yumi added in, smiling as she came out of the shuttle after them, "We've fought Krom before at least, the worst he tried to do then was capture us. They'll probably try that again if they can, but we won't let them do that either." There were enough of them now that they could stand up to those two, and most of them fought very well together. So long as nobody tried doing anything crazy or went too far things would be alright. Stepping out into the outside world she took a long sniff of the air, her ears twitching as she glanced off in a seemingly random direction. That was definitely the smell of something burning, the wind carrying it towards them from just a ways southeast of where they stood. That had to be wherever they were heading, and from the scent she was catching it looked like it was already under attack, or being attacked. Much as she was compelled to rush off to help she knew they needed a plan, otherwise they'd go in and get beaten to a pulp. "Okay, so what are we all doing? How are we fighting them?" Yumi asked loudly, putting her hands on her hips as she glanced around, "Who's our brilliant strategist here?"

Shu didn’t know if he should be careful when stepping out into this jungle, not knowing if there was going to be any wildlife or if his father was going to jump out at him. If they were to get into trouble, now would be the perfect time for them to get spotted and for their father to rush them down before they had a chance. He was definitely nervous and seeing everyone trying to handle the situation as good as possible made him feel particularly nervous. He had to be strong, he just had to keep telling himself that in hope that it would stick. Sighing lightly when his nervous twitch came with no reason behind it he slowly moved forward again, looking up to his brother as he decided to make a plan for only him and T’charrl, looking to his friend curiously. He didn’t seem to be very enthusiastic about it, already talking like he was going to die. That was a bad start to their day, hearing their friend talk about death like that. It reminded him of Viral when he talked about death. He really wished his friends wouldn’t talk like that, but at least T’charrl wasn’t spouting doubt like Viral about whether he had a soul.

T’charrl rubbed his arms as he glanced to Takeshi, immediately placing him against Krom first. Well if he was going to be up first then he better find some confidence in himself, only problem was he really wasn’t managing to find that. He was struggling to understand how someone like him would be able to fight and survive fighting a complete stranger. Usually when you were up against an unknown opponent you wanted them dead pretty quickly to get them out of your way, it didn’t help that he was the only one there who wasn’t influenced by the King. “You don’t sound so sure”, he frowned at Haku, “I don’t look strong and I don’t know how strong I am when I’m like this either. I know I have my power, but…I don’t think I have the physical strength”. Looking to Yumi as she tried to reassure him he gave a little smile, sighing lightly. “Capture? Oh, so I just have to worry about that”.

Looking between each other, the Twins looked as if they had mixed opinions over what should be done during this fight. There was always just going with what Takeshi said or they could be considerate and come up with something that might lessen the risk of them all getting beaten to a pulp. After a brief moment as the environment was beginning to sink in, Kai soon spoke up with a quick wave of his hand. “We think T’charrl should go up first too, but the King would need more than Takeshi. T’charrl would be better weakening the King off with that energy of his and Choi and I will assist. We should really try and get Krom out of the picture first, right?” He thought it was a good idea to distract the King, but he didn’t think it would be a good idea to have them all watch while a one on one went on. They had to find some way to force combat but not get in each other’s way at the same time. “Unless you lot think going one on one is a good idea, we think we should rush one of them down first and keep the other at bay”.

"In the scheme of things capture isn't as bad, at least you'd be alive," Yumi said, smiling somberly as she shrugged her shoulders. She'd not go into great detail over what happened when you were captured, not wanting to unease anyone any further. So long as someone was left standing though there wasn't reason to worry either happening, they wouldn't let it. Rather than get all morbid and keep talking about what might happen, maybe they should focus on what should happen. Vegeta was generally the strategist, but with him gone and busy they'd have to come up with a plan all their own. Luckily for them Kai was willing to give some input, which was a relief as otherwise they were going with Takeshi's idea. "One on one will never work, but I do agree we can't attack in big groups either, it'll get too messy..." Yumi remarked as she crossed her arms, furrowing her brow in thought, "Maybe... We split into three groups? One group focuses on beating Krom, the other keeps the King busy, and the third waits by to help wherever is needed. That way we're still keeping both those creeps busy but we won't be tripping over one another." That way too she could get Shu and Haku ought of fighting, if only for a bit. Of everyone present those two felt the most uneasy, it was best that they be kept to the side at least to start.

Takeshi couldn't see any problems there, it sounded like a solid plan compared to what he had. Plus if he could convince Shu to be in that third group then he'd get what he wanted, keep his brother out of harm's way for the time being. Between Krom and his father he wasn't sure who he wanted to face off more against; Krom could arguably be blamed for everyone getting hurt or taken away, but then again his father was the one behind it. Both men were guilty and deserved to get their teeth kicked in, but he knew he couldn't well fight both of them and expect to win. "Okay, if we're splitting into teams then that's fine by me, makes it easier to fight," the Saiyan said aloud, smirking as he folded his hands behind his head and glanced over at Shu, "Buddy, how's about you be in the third group? That way you can fight too, but you help where you're needed. That way you can back everyone up." That and he could focus on fighting without having to worry about his brother's well-being. Sure, he was concerned for his friends as well, but if given the chance he'd just as soon put Shu away from danger as he could. Looking at T'charrl he smiled knowingly, nodding his head for his friend to come over. "Want to team up? We can fight together if you want. We'll make a pretty good team, we're both strong, you know?"

Kabocha wasn't sure how crazy he was about splitting up like this, especially not when it seemed like he'd not have either of the Princes fighting for him. He probably couldn't go and fight alongside Takeshi and T'charrl, especially not if they were going to take on Yamate. If he and the twins teamed up though they could take on Krom together, probably even beat him too. "I guess we can handle Krom, while you two get Yamate," he offered, looking over at the twins, "As long as you two are cool with it, I know I can't force you to fight. I don't know about you though, I'm way more willing to fight an Elite than I am the king, nowhere near as nerve wracking."

"Actually... Maybe you three should handle Yamate..." Yumi spoke up, smiling faintly as Kabocha gave her a baffled look, holding up a finger to silence him, "Hear me out. Takeshi and T'charrl are both strong, and Takeshi has fought Krom before. They can probably beat him faster, and then you'll get backed up by them and the rest of us. Besides, Yamate is stronger, shouldn't we put more against him?" If they left the first group to handle Krom on their own then herself, Shu and Haku could put their efforts to helping bring down the King. Realistically she doubted they would completely beat him here, certainly not kill him, but they could certainly give him a beating before he left. Turning to Shu and Haku she offered them a smile, placing one hand on her chest, "You two can be with me in the third group, okay? I'll keep an eye on both fights and we can go wherever we're needed. We should leave most of the combat to them though, they're all seasoned fighters." Not to mention they were all stronger than this trio here, which was only more reason to stay back. Much as Yumi loathed to think so it was pretty obvious they'd get in the way by trying to fight directly, and she knew her own strength wasn't good for much in a prolonged fight. "If these groups are okay then I think we might be ready."

"I'm fine with whatever, I just want to kick their asses," Takeshi said with a grin, "We'll beat Krom in no time and help bring down our father next, just wait and see. Those two aren't going to know what hit them." Him and T'charrl against Krom then, huh? Good, that jerk had seemed so smug when they walked into that trap a year ago, now it was high time he got payback for that. Crossing paths with that man in the palace had always been infuriating, he'd wanted to strike out so many times but never did for fear of Shu getting punished; his brother's health was no longer on the line, he could go all in and make Krom pay, not to mention for the grief he'd caused Viral too. Cracking his knuckles he began to hop back and forth on his feet, getting ready to move on and track down their opponents. "I guess we're ready then? Time to go knock some heads?"

Shu didn’t like the talk about getting captured all over again, especially when he had been for pretty much a year. It was a very long year and one he spent much of his time in a whole lot of pain and near immobile so the very thought of ending up like that again made him feel queasy. Letting out a groan as he covered his ears briefly, he looked to Yumi who was very quickly deciding what would be the best plan for them all. He thought it was good to be in groups as well and not just go one on one, seeing how strong Krom and the King was. Krom was merely toying with them the last time he fought them. Feeling a little less than stellar about fighting either the King or Krom he slowly sunk behind Takeshi, watching the others discuss their plans and everything that might end up happening during this fight. They probably shouldn’t hang around their little ship for very long incase his father did come to find them, it might get damaged and then they’d really have no way off this planet other than trying to find a way to contact Uunoue like the natives did here. It made him very nervous knowing they could lose and be captured or if they somehow managed to win, they could end up being trapped on this planet.

Once the teams were all split up and everyone was getting all set to stay in their teams, Shu slowly looked towards Yumi when she looked to him, frowning at her decision. So he was going to be in the back of everything then, but he didn’t know how well he’d do being back-up like that. Frowning a little, he sighed when she figured he wasn’t strong enough for this either, probably due to his complete lack of courage and how weak he was. “Okay…I’ll stay back. I don’t want Father catching me again…” he mumbled, shaking his head. “I don’t know what he would want with me, though. I am not good at fighting and not a good son too”. He didn’t know if he wanted his father’s approval but it was very obvious that his father preferred Takeshi when he was treated like an animal in the labs most of the time. They were trying so hard to twist him to their preferred state of mind that they messed him up and tried to exploit his strange ability too. He still didn’t know what that was and was very afraid of it, but mainly because he didn’t know what it was.

T’charrl didn’t know how he’d hold up as being one of the first in fighting, but everyone wanted him to do it so he’d do it. He didn’t know if they wanted the Saiyans killed or subdued, so it was difficult to tell whether he should use his hidden blades or just his fists. He really didn’t know how strong his normal body was, but he figured he was just going to be as strong as he was before since all his strength was in his other forms. He would just have to watch out for that and hope he didn’t break so easily or change immediately, especially when he wanted to hold off doing that. He didn’t want to show that he was just a weapon, he wanted to gain control and not be thrown in just because he was so unstable. Looking to the others quickly he made a quick glance to Takeshi who decided they should get going, his eyes soon quickly looking around as his antennae twitched. “There is a strange smell of burning. I would think we should start by heading that way”, he spoke, making a brief walk in the direction before deciding to fly, “Might be best to get above these plants. How will we find the ship again if we do manage to win somehow?”

Splitting up didn't sound all that great, sure, but it was the safest way to do this. Everyone striking at once could lead to some complications, it was better they attack in waves and just try to keep Krom and Yamate busy, wear them down gradually. Kai had more been the one to come up with such a plan, Yumi had just built on it, and with that they finally had a method of attack in place. Most people seemed okay with the arrangements, but Shu still looked like he was having a really bad time of things. "He won't catch you Shu, no one is going to let that happen..." she said gently, smiling as she reached down and stroked his hair, "You are a good fighter, and who cares if you're a good son to him? He doesn't deserve a wonderful boy like you, so don't worry about that. Just focus on being an amazing brother an an awesome friend instead, alright?" The King wasn't the sort of person you sought approval from, he was a brute and cruel and didn't care about even his own children, let alone anyone else. In some ways it was oddly reminiscent of her own father, spurring her disdain of the man even more. When coupled with the fact she had personal vendettas against Yamate, both for her own imprisonment as well as her friends', then Yumi had all the reason in the world to fight him. "When we start fighting just stay with me, okay Shu? I'll make sure they don't hurt you, and we'll do our part and back up whoever needs it, sound fair?"

Though nervous Takeshi was raring to get moving, eager to beat the Saiyans and put this entire mess behind them. It didn't worry him that much that some of their stronger fighters were back on Uuonoe, they could definitely make this work. Viral would no doubt be miffed that he wasn't given the chance to fight too, but the guy would have to suck it up and just focus on recovering. Though he was ready to move he didn't exactly know which direction to head, being unable to see much from down here on the jungle floors. Looking up at the canopies and trying to pick out some energy, it was T'charrl who seemed to find where they wanted to go. Watching his friend move off he hurried after him, rising up over the canopy and glancing back at the others and the ship. "Uh... Let's see, is there anything we can use for a marker?" he asked aloud, pausing briefly and glancing around the area. The only thing that really stood out was a taller tree than the rest, the top of which popped out over the others and looked kind of like an umbrella. "See that big tree? We can use that! It's not right next to the ship, but it's close enough that we can find it, you know?"

"Man... This is going to suck so much..." Kabocha grumbled, crossing his arms as he followed up after the others, glancing over at the twins, "You two are okay with us fighting Yamate? Let's be real here... The guy is a freaking Super Saiyan isn't he? If he decides to go all out then what are our chances?" He didn't want to be all doom and gloom, but they really had gotten the short end of the stick with this one. Scowling in disdain he shook his head, listening to Takeshi as he tried sorting out of they'd find the ship again. That was nice, they didn't have any real solid plan to track the shuttle down when done, their only way off this rock. The idea of having T'charrl and Shu change and just go at it seemed more appealing by the second, yet he knew suggesting such a thing now would cause a mess. "How do you two want to do this then...? We've got pretty good chemistry and all, but you two work really well together. Want to lead and I'll follow? Maybe if you two can get him on the defensive I can get hits in, and we can do it that way." It would take a long time no doubt, someone like Yamate wasn't bound to go down easily. If anything it would turn into a battle of endurance, who could last longer and who'd have more energy when it came down to the wire? Kabocha felt he knew the answer without even starting, but he wasn't about to call the fight pointless just yet.

Shu didn’t know how he was going to be at supporting everyone else when he was struggling to understand why they had to do this. His father and Krom would eventually leave the planet since it didn’t seem as if they were looking for anything in particular, then Korian would eventually come back and fix the planet up. Maybe he was just thinking like a coward, even if he knew everyone here was willing to fight bravely for this planet. He didn’t know how to feel or what to do, whether he should really just hide away while everyone fought or try to fight himself. He just knew he wasn’t a good fighter and would probably be useless in the battle, everybody knew that. Looking to Yumi when she stroked his hair, frowning at her as she tried to reassure him. “I-I don’t know if I’m-…I don’t know…” He didn’t know if he was a good brother and friend when everyone spent a lot of their time watching out for him while he couldn’t do anything to help them back. Looking to Yumi he stared up at her, frowning a little before nodding, floating up a little. “I’ll stay with you. I don’t want to get hurt and make you upset. I want to be good…”

T’charrl knew it was best to follow the smell of destruction if they had any hope of finding any trace of their opponents, knowing they would have to do that in order to find their opponent who was probably recently there causing all sorts of destruction. Fire didn’t fade that fast and if they could just find one tiny path of destruction then they would probably find their opponents in no time. He didn’t know how fast these Saiyans travelled so if they were long gone already and racing away through the air then this was pointless. Looking back to Takeshi as he spoke up he looked to the tree, staring at it for a moment before looking back to Takeshi. “If you remember it. I don’t know how long I might last in this fight. I mean…it’s my first time against these people and I’ve never fought against a Saiyan and I guess I don’t think I can do much against them unless I-…you know…”

The twins did both hope that maybe Shu might want to fight considering what he could do, but maybe their plan would still work somehow. It was just a way to try and wear the King down and hope for the best and that he might end up joining them in a fit of rage. Neither of them wanted to pretend they got hurt, especially when Shu probably wouldn’t have the same reaction to them getting hurt over maybe Takeshi or something. This might not go to plan if that was going to be the case, but at least they were going to try and stay active for as long as they could manage before they had to swap out. Looking to Kabocha when he gave them a moment of concern, Choi and Kai looked between each other briefly before Kai spoke up, shrugging. “We’ll either get hit down very quickly or end up doing some good. That’s just the reality of it”.

“Yeah well, it’s not like we have much of a chance, anyway. I don’t want to fight him in the first place”. Choi would really rather Shu got into the fight as quickly as possible and changed just to maybe make the King and Krom back off because of how violent the kid was, but whatever. Sighing lightly as they started making their way out the twins looked to Kabocha, Choi giving a wave of his finger. “We’ll try and use our speed to disorientate him and maybe if you go in from behind whenever you can. I mean…we’re probably going to get beaten down anyway, so might as well try and last as long as possible. I mean…do we even stand a chance?”

"You're going to be fine Shu, we all are. As long as we each do our part we'll come out okay," Yumi said gently, smiling as she started rising up into the air, "No matter how scary things get just remember you've got all of us there with you, okay? You're not alone here." That was perhaps the only saving grace in all of this, the fact they had so much support. Sure there were only 7 of them in all, but she liked those odds far better than had it been, say, just the brothers. Strength in numbers and all that, it was a very basic concept but a good one. "You're always good Shu, I don't care what anyone else says. All you do is try to make people happy, I'd say that's pretty good," she replied, glancing back at the young Saiyan, "Stay with me, we'll be stronger if we fight together. And don't worry about making me upset, you won't do that." The only people who would make her upset here were the King and his henchman, and she'd make damn sure they paid for doing so. It may not be her directly, but Yumi was determined to make the Saiyans answer for hurting not only her but all of her friends.

Kabocha knew at this point there wasn't much chance of his avoiding the fight, but he'd still share his reluctance to do so. Even as Takeshi prattled on about kicking their butts he was positive the Prince was uneasy too, they all were, and not a single soul here could be looking forward to this. If it weren't for the fact that they were likely the most qualified to take on such a task then he'd just have soon argued about going at all; aside from maybe the top rebels there wasn't anyone else to stand against the King, so the job fell to them. "I'm sure as hell not going down without a fight, you can bet on that. If we're losing here today then I'm going out in a blaze of glory," Kabocha joked grimly, smiling as he looked ahead. Hearing Choi echoing what he'd been thinking he turned his head back after a moment, giving a nod at his plan. "Sounds fine to me, that's what you two do best anyways. You get him off guard, I'll come in and get some blows in. I guess to save everyone trouble don't try helping if he turns on me, otherwise we'll all get it." The last question was one weighing heavily on his mind since they got this assignment, and it was one that even now he had no answer to. Furrowing his brow he remained silent for a moment, finally letting out a sigh before smirking and shaking his head. "Not a chance in hell I'd bet, but we're here so it's whatever. We won't gain anything by trying though so I say let's give it our all, even if we lose."

The massive tree was really the only thing that they could use as a marker, otherwise everything in the area looked totally the same. THey could always make something to mark it, but even he was smart enough to know doing so might give away where they had placed it; having the Saiyans or someone else take their shuttle would suck, it was best to keep it as hidden as they could. "Don't talk like that T'charrl, you're going to do fine! You're strong and all, and you keep surprising us, you know? I can't think of anyone else who's got a better chance at beating them." Well, maybe him and Shu if the little guy wasn't so nervous, it would be real hard to get his brother in the fighting spirit. Really crappy timing, this attack, it was really reminding him of how neglectful they had been in helping Shu with his problems. This fight would have to be dealt with quick, they had to look into making Shu happy and comfortable by himself again. "Hey... I hope this doesn't sound too selfish, but... After this is over, can you help me with Shu? I know you've got stuff going on, but he's been in a bad way and... I don't really know what to do for him..." It would be silly to keep thinking he was helping the little guy, because he wasn't, and he couldn't put off doing so any longer.
