Shu was on his way up when he turned to Yumi again, staring at her as she spoke. He didn’t think things were going to be that simple even when he was a fairly naïve kid, he knew what they were doing was a massive risk on their part. “Not alone? Ooh, I guess…but if I get taken, I will be alone”, he sighed, looking to the others, “I don’t want people taking a hit that I can take instead, though…” If there was one thing he didn’t want happening that was having everyone get hurt just to stop him from getting hurt. He was a warrior and was supposed to be brave and strong, not hide behind everyone because he was scared of losing. Feeling a little guilty that he was not a great ally or friend to his team he slowly looked to Yumi, staring at her before letting out a groan. “It’s not about that too much, I mean…I don’t want to make you upset! But…I have other things I need to worry about too…” he spoke, feeling unsure about this fight completely, “Everybody wants me to be a strong fighter and be able to help, but…I just feel useless. What do I do? I don’t know how to help and I just get mad and-…that’s not what a warrior does. I don’t want to have to be protected all the time…but I know I have a hard time by myself too. I’m used to being in a big family, a clan where everyone protected each other. I don’t know how to be strong by myself…”

Choi was not sure if everything would go according to plan but he was still willing to wait and see if the King was going to be as aggressive as he could be towards them or simply see them all as simply pests before leaving. Anything could happen and they didn’t know if the King was merciful when he was really strong. There was always that possibility, but he really didn’t know anything about the King if that was going to be the immediate assumption. The King could be as cruel as he was rumoured to be and just destroy them. “’Blaze of glory’? I’d rather you didn’t, honestly”, he sighed, looking a little concerned before shrugging, “If that plan doesn’t work and he swats us away like flies, I hope you have a backup plan too as to how we’re going to take him down too. He might see through our big idea! Backup plans could be a good idea right about now…”

T’charrl felt he was not going to have the best of luck in this battle and the doubt everyone else was feeling was really getting to him, only building up by a fair amount and managing to infect his mind with terrible thoughts. He wasn’t as thick skinned as the others and really held very little belief in his own abilities. If he didn’t change somehow then he was probably going to be broken apart and Takeshi telling him he was strong didn’t make him feel all that confident. “You’ve not trained with me before so how do you know? I could only use my energy well and even then I’m not very good at it”. There was only one way he was going to stand a fighting chance and that was if he transformed, by the sound of it Takeshi was trying to push him to use it too. What a time he was going to have with this matchup, it seemed, and he wasn’t too happy with having to resort to that. Scratching his neck in wonderment to whether he had been too blunt he looked to Takeshi again when he made a request, feeling confused over it. “Huh? Uhh…what do you mean?” he asked before looking away, “I don’t know how to help myself, nevermind what’s wrong with Shu. What can I do?”

"You won't be taken Shu, no one will. Before there was only a few of us, but there's a bigger group this time around. We all know how to fight and have only gotten stronger since last time, things will be different, I promise." Yumi wasn't confident that they could win, but she was certain no one was being taken away again. They would all fight until they couldn't move another inch before they let that happen, especially if that someone was Shu; Takeshi would likely kill someone if Shu was taken away, and she would if he didn't. Sure, Krom and Yamate had raw strength on their side here no doubt, but often times in fight it was more than raw strength that determined a battle. The men may get cocky because they were stronger, make a mistake and end up losing for it, there was no way of knowing how the battle may turn out. "Maybe... If you want to be stronger then think about everyone you're fighting for?" Yumi suggested after a moment, looking back at Shu with a gentle smile, "You say you want to help protect everyone, so do that. Let the fact you want to be able to keep us safe be your strength and you'll find a way to fight. It's like I said Shu, just don't forget that you have us there with you, even if you do end up fighting alone at some point. Draw strength from knowing that we're all here to support you if you need it, just like how you'll support us if we need it."

"Hey, if I'm going out then I'm at least doing my part, that's all I'm saying. Believe me, I'd rather I didn't either, but if we gotta then we should do something worthwhile while doing it," Kabocha said grimly, giving a faint smile as he looked ahead. If they were killed then it would suck sure, yet it also meant everyone else was left to contend with smaller numbers. Maybe he was out for his own interests most of the time, but being faced with the potential of losing someone now he found himself conflicted; did he serve his own interests or stick out his neck for someone else? Back when it had just been him in the squad he hadn't much cared, nor had they ever really needed to save one another. Given who their opponent was this time around though it would be inevitable that someone would need saving, lest the worst happen. "If distracting him doesn't work... Then we make him expend as much energy as possible," Kabocha spoke, "We may not be able to beat him, but if we can wear him down enough, make him use a ton of Ki then he'll lose, if not to us then to the Princes, or T'charrl, somebody. If our part is just to make the fight easier then I'm cool with that, whatever it takes to win." They may come out broken and bloodied for it, but if it meant no more war and no more worrying about impending attacks then he was fine with some broken bones.

Takeshi felt nervous, sure, but he knew freaking out wasn't going to solve anything. For one of the few times in his life he was trying to keep a level head about things, thinking it through as best he could. There had to be a way to beat Krom and his father, everyone had a weakness. It could well take some time in the battle to find that weakness, but sooner or later they'd figure it out and those two would be done for. "You killed that thing on Namek, and a ton of the little ones, so there's that. Plus I've known you for a while, I've felt your energy and seen you fight. I'm not as dumb as people think, you know, I pay attention more than you think. I can tell you're strong T'charrl, just like I can tell Shu is strong, you two just need to be more confident." Though he'd rather just as soon not discuss it, Shu inevitably worked his way into their conversation. Maybe it was desperation on Takeshi's part to get him help, or just grasping at straws and looking for some inspiration; whatever the reason for his asking was, the Saiyan hoped to get some kind of support here. "Talk to him maybe? I don't know, to be honest. But... You've been trough a lot too, haven't you? You were imprisoned and everything, so you're the same. I figure you'd be the best person to talk to him. That or Viral, but that guy's got his own plate full right now."

In no short order they had finally begun to close in on the city, and now they were able to get a better appreciation of just what had happened here. Though the majority of the place still remained standing there were notable signs of battle, from crumbling buildings to the roads being blown apart and burns along the plants. Here and there the bodies of soldiers could be seen as well, some beaten into a pulp and others singed by Ki blasts, none of them likely quick or painless deaths. It made Takeshi's blood boil at the sight of all of it, having the disturbing idea that his father and Krom got some sort of sick satisfaction out of doing this. These people couldn't be all that strong, not if they were getting wiped out by the dozens, so why attack them? What was with this planet? As the group approached the city limits they all descended, keeping off the roads and along the growth. It was uncomfortably quiet at the moment, no sounds of battle or anything to speak of. As off-putting as the corpses they had seen were too there was remarkably low casualties for the fighting, only further confusing Takeshi.

"I don't get it... Something feels off here..." the Prince mumbled, frowning as he looked around at the buildings surrounding them, "It's like they were just passing through... But this is where the beacon had come from, you'd think more of it would be destroyed." It was weird, even when he was in the military they tended to ruin places whenever someone caused problems, that just seemed to be how things were done. With people like his father and Krom too one would expect massive levels of destruction, but it looked more like small skirmishes here and there. Scratching at his head in thought, Takeshi turned to Kai and Choi for answers, figuring they were fairly well trained and, compared to Kabocha anyways, far more pleasant to talk to. "What do you guys think...? Doesn't look like they were here to burn the place down, which they would if they were trying to silence that signal. So what gives, what're they up to?"

Shu wasn’t actually sure what his father would want with him even if he did manage to get captured, not knowing if he would just try to control him again for whatever reason or just take him so he could have him. He was feeling scared that something terribly bad would happen along the way as well but he was fair prepared to accept the inevitable no matter what happened. It made him wonder if he was going to be able to do anything against his father, especially when he hadn’t been training all that much because people were hesitant to train with him lately. “We know how to fight, but we have never gone against Father before”. Feeling unsure about his whole predicament he made a light sigh as he thought through all the bad things that could happen instead, his eyes going to Yumi again as she spoke. “Everyone? I-I-I…I want to! I just-…I just don’t know. I’m scared, I guess…I guess I don’t know if they believe in me too”. Feeling all worried he stared at Yumi as she tried to give him encouragement, slowly nodding before letting out a sigh, nodding. “I’ll try…I’ll try. I want to protect people! I do! I want to be good supporting person!”

Choi never did like people talking about death like it was nothing, but then again they did see two people who were dead for probably longer than they had been mentally aware come back alive again. Kai was pretty numb to death but he still thought about it when it involved him or his brother. Neither of them wanted to die and would hope they would get some mercy from the King and Krom because of what they were and how unique they functioned, but they didn’t want to be forced into service again. Choi simply sighed at this revelation, shrugging lightly. “Hey well, if our plan goes well then we can only assume that part will work too, you know? I’m not that afraid of pain”. He only hoped if Shu did decide to change and take over that he wouldn’t be in his way as well. It would be pretty terrible if they accidentally got in the way of that ball of rage.

T’charrl didn’t know what he was supposed to do in the fight other than exploit his powers. He didn’t want to use them in such fashions when he didn’t really have control over himself and it would be even worse if he tried to use his powers and they didn’t work, causing him to fail terribly. He didn’t know where people got the idea that he was strong in his near-normal form, he just didn’t have the physical strength behind his attacks. Frowning at Takeshi, he slowly shook his head, looking down at himself momentarily before shaking his head. “I don’t think it’s a confidence issue I have, I just…know my strength, is all”. He really didn’t know how he was supposed to help Shu with his issues when he wasn’t familiar with them or how he was supposed to be treated. Hearing Takeshi make the connection he frowned, looking away again. “That kind of stuff was normal for a while on my planet. I coped with it because I was determined to escape because I knew I could when I was eventually left alone. That’s the only reason I was able to see it through. It was just another battle for me to fight”.

Upon arriving at the city, the sight of it was certainly strange with little reasoning behind the attacks. It looked like the soldiers were being annoying in certain parts of the city and were blasted because of that, but it didn’t appear as if Krom or Yamate wanted everything destroyed. Despite this reasoning, Shu moved closer to Yumi and tried to remove his view from it. Staring down at it, Kai and Choi looked to Takeshi when he approached them, both looking at each other quickly before Kai spoke up. “Could be that we just walked right into a trap. Could be that they just wanted to look for something and could be that they have left already”, he spoke, looking back down at the city, “Could had been warning shots over anything, kind of like when we went off to do this sort of stuff. Seems weird that they would want to do it themselves”.

There likely weren't any words to reassure someone right now, yet Yumi was doing her best to find them for Shu's sake. Everyone was nervous about going into the battle, but if it got to the point where they couldn't fight then that was a problem. Fear was normal when it came to battling, especially an enemy of this caliber, but it was nothing they were new to; the monster on Namek, Krom the first time around, Elites, they had a fair bit of experience between all of them, and that was only what she knew of. If they kept as level headed as can be and stuck together then they could win this, they just had to play it safe. "There's a first time for everything... We'll just have to give it our all, things will work out if we do," Yumi said, trying to be optimistic as she smiled at Shu, "I believe in you, I know your brother does. T'charrl believes in you too, I just know he does. Maybe I can't say for sure about the others, but I'll bet they trust you and believe in you as well. We're all going to need one another to make it through this, and that includes you, Shu. It's okay to be afraid, everyone here is, just don't ever think you're alone here, because you'll always have someone at your back."

"Well, sometimes you can surprise yourself, I know I have," Takeshi remarked, smiling as he gave a slight shrug, "When things get hairy then sometimes you can do something you never thought possible, I've done it and I've seen it. I know it's not gonna help us any to just expect some miracle to save us, but just think about it, you know? Maybe you're even stronger than you give yourself credit for." Hell, considering the guy could absorb energy he was probably stronger than anyone here, given enough time. If he could get enough from the King too then he could be the strongest on the planet, which would be a very nice change of pace. "Yeah, well... It's normal in a lot of the universe, thanks to my dad. Either way you and Shu have that in common, that's why I asked you. It's cool if you don't think you can do anything though, I don't blame you. I'm at a loss is all, really sucks." Seeing it as another battle may have worked for T'charrl, but she wasn't at all seeing it that way. Takeshi didn't know what had to be done for his brother to feel better, it would take quite a lot of work though to see him right again.

The sights of the city were anything but welcoming, and the scene they came into was very confusing. There were no active battles to speak of, no sounds of fighting and nothing to indicate anything was happening right now. Coupled with the fact that the majority of the city seemed unharmed and no one quite knew what to think of it, used to seeing mass destruction whenever the Saiyans were present. Opting to ask his former squadmates for their input Takeshi frowned at what they had to offer, looking around curiously for any signs of a potential trap. It did sound like that might be the case, but if they were the stronger fighters why bother springing an ambush? It didn't make much sense, so there had to be some other explanation. "It's very weird... I don't think our father has ever led a mission like this..." the Prince mumbled, frowning as he slowly approached the end of an alleyway. Pausing briefly at the opening he took a deep breath, easing his head out and glancing around for any signs of activity, finding none. Baffled he eased back into the alley, letting out a lengthy sigh and rubbing at his head. "Man... This makes no sense... Where is everyone? Why's there not explosions, I'd figure they'd be leveling the place by now."

"Maybe the people living here are hiding? They must have known what was going on, maybe they sent the distress call then ran off?" Yumi offered, frowning as she looked around at the rooftops nearby. If that were the case however then she ought to be able to detect something, be it smell or some sounds. Aside from the crisp, crackling of flames and the occasional gust of wind however there was no sound, and there wasn't anything remarkable in the way of scents. Like the others she couldn't think of any reason the enemy would be going about this in a roundabout way; the last time they fought Krom he had been anything but discreet, and given his pension for destruction she didn't see the King being very sneaky either. It was possible she supposed that the Saiyans had already moved on, yet if that were the case then they'd probably be picking up hints of battles elsewhere.

Shu knew he needed more confidence in himself but he was so tired of trying to be what he wasn’t. He wasn’t strong enough for this whether mentally or physically, only wishing someone like Vegeta or someone stronger took his place. Maybe he was simply scared of what he could do in an angered state and scared that he might hurt his friends, but he was always going to have to conquer that fear if he was going to fight with everyone. He didn’t know how they could trust him so much, but maybe they just wanted him to feel good about himself and who he was. Maybe he was just having a bit of a crisis right now and seeing all the death didn’t help. Feeling particularly nervous and not in the best of mind-sets right now he looked to Yumi, trying to take his mind off the scene below. “Okay to be…afraid…? Oohh…even if I am afraid of what makes me bad? I mean, I don’t have any control and haven’t been learning. I don’t know how to get better at it! I-If Father sees I still can, what if he tries to take me for it again?”

T’charrl felt a little confused by Takeshi’s reasoning but soon sighed. “Ehhh, I think what happened to me was the most surprising thing ever. I don’t know, I mean…a lot of energy doesn’t equal physical strength, right? I could blast holes everywhere but when it comes to throwing punches, I don’t know how strong I am. I try to avoid doing that, I mean…I didn’t really do much hand to hand combat and my frame keeps changing depending on what form I’m in. I still think I’m stronger in my other forms than this”. He didn’t want to sound like he had lots of confidence in himself and then end up failing terribly; that would just embarrass him. “Well I mean, I can try…but that doesn’t mean it would work. It actually stresses me out more when I know there’s no war and that I won’t face getting kidnapped or killed, it’s not normal for me not to be actively scouting or fighting the General’s men. Makes me feel paranoid. I might be feeling the opposite effect of what Shu feels, I guess”.

When looking at the city from this view, T’charrl couldn’t find any idea popping into his head as to why this place appeared as it did. He didn’t know the Saiyan’s strategies but if this was unusual then he would have to take their word for it, instead looking around for any signs of life. These aliens looked rather strange, even if a lot of them in the immediate area were dead. It was weird, he hadn’t seen a battle pattern like this before even if they were fighting from the ground. They looked like they had been throwing themselves at the enemy rather than trying to prevent the attack or flee if they thought they couldn’t win, but this felt all wrong. There didn’t appear to be any real strategy, they looked like they had been more of a nuisance to the Saiyans than actively battling. Feeling fair concerned, he felt the energy in the air with hope that he might be able to help. “I don’t feel anything. The people are gone, somehow”, he spoke, looking around slowly, “I don’t sense much energy other than what’s been used here. It feels like only a little bit was used compared to what could had been. The people here fled, maybe…and I wouldn’t mind if we can keep moving too…”

"I'm saying that being afraid is normal Shu, and you're not weaker for it. Everyone is afraid of something, that's just how life is. If you want to be strong then you have to face your fears and not run away from them." It was like the first time they had met Geoffrey, being thrown into that weird trance where they were made to confront their deepest fears. Yumi still hadn't completely gotten over her fear of the dark, even with her heightened senses, but she did feel somewhat better for being able to stand up to it. Shu was obviously having trouble doing such a thing, yet if he kept trying and they helped him along then he could do it, and he'd feel better for it. "No one is going to be taken, like I said. Last time Viral was taken because we were too tired to help, and we didn't know what we were facing. We're ready this time though, we're stronger and there's more of us. It might hurt, but when we're through today every one of us is heading back to Uuonoe, and we'll go back having saved everyone from the King. How's that sound to you Shu? Think you're ready to help make that happen?" she asked, smiling encouragingly at the young Saiyan.

Takeshi supposed he had to acknowledge what T'charrl was saying; Ki and physical strength were not interchangeable. Sure, one could enhance strength with Ki, but having a lot of Ki didn't mean you were suddenly stronger. "I guess not, but... Strength comes in a lot of forms, you know? Some people can hit really hard, some are really good at blasting things, and some are in between, yeah? Just because you're not punching holes in mountains or whatever doesn't make you weak, it just means that hitting things might not be your strong suit." Both had their advantages and disadvantages, and really most people were probably happy they could just do one or another. For an overachiever like Takeshi he wasn't content with just one, he wanted to excel in both and be better than most everyone else, but that was just him. "Huh... So you always think something is gonna happen, and Shu is okay until something happens..." Takeshi mumbled, furrowing his brow as he thought on that for a moment. Strange, it was like they both had the same problem, just for different reasons. Maybe he could ask Vegeta about that one, or Vegeta's dad, but they could be able to fix both his friend and brother in one go. He couldn't well think on that right now, but he'd definitely need to bring it up once they got back.

There wasn't much anything to see where they stood, nor was there any sign of a fight going on. Seeing a city left so untouched for the most part was unusual, Takeshi had never known his kind to leave anything standing really. Between Yumi and T'charrl he kind of hoped someone might be able to pick up something he couldn't, yet neither of them looked to be noticing anything either. "So no one's around...? I don't get it..." he mumbled, frowning as he walked out into the street. A good part of him expected to get blasted as soon as they stepped out, yet there wasn't anything but a simple breeze that came their way. Glancing down either which way of the road he placed his hands on his hips, beginning to think maybe his father and Krom actually did leave already. It didn't make much sense why they might, but then none of what was going on did. "Should we check for survivors? Or look for them? I don't know what to do..." Takeshi said as he kicked a small bit of debris, frowning in annoyance, "If they're here I kind of wish they'd just show up already, I don't wanna waste a ton of time waiting around now that we're here."

"Yeah... Going to be honest, kind of expected to be fighting already. I don't really know what to think right now," Yumi added, looking around again for any signs of activity. This whole city was a fair bit off-putting, thanks mostly to the smell of corpses and all of the burned wreckage. Maybe they should double back to the shuttle and move ahead, see if the King and Krom had gone to the next city, albeit she couldn't imagine why. If they weren't destroying the entire city as they moved along and had already disabled the beacon then why were they here? Scratching at her cheek absentmindedly she stiffened up when she caught wind of someone up ahead, turning to look down the road as her ears twitched in alert. Seeing a piece of rubble fall down and then a wall collapse partially she expected to see a Saiyan come out, though her surprise it looked like one of the natives who had been fighting. Gasping in surprise she rushed over to meet the alien, stopping shy of them and holding up her hands when they aimed a blaster at her. "I'm a friend! I'm not with the Saiyans, don't worry!"

Just who was this person? She didn't look like the men who had attacked them, nor did she even look like a Saiyan. Just how many people were on this damned world anyways? Aiming square at her face with the blaster for a moment the soldier finally relented, mostly due to the pain in his arm as he had to lower it back down. "Kssh... Friend? Late for a friend, not much help," the soldier said, their voice a bit distorted as it came through a canister-fitted apparatus affixed to their face, a set of black goggles obscuring their eyes and a mask most of their features. From what could be seen they wore a black jumper like their comrades, with some kind of insignia on the breast and yellow stripes on one arm, perhaps designating rank. They had green skin and what appeared to be spines protruding from their back, as well as clawed hands and feet. Too tired to resist even if the stranger was lying, the soldier let out a groan and sank to a sitting position, grasping his bloodied shoulder as he coughed. "If you're killing me, do it. Men are dead already, city is being attacked, I failed..."

"What do you mean being attacked...? Are they still here?" Yumi asked, squatting down as she looked at the soldier uneasily, "If the Saiyans are still here then please, tell us where they went. We're trying to find them to make them stop."

Groaning again at the dull throbbing of his wound, placing his hand over it and nodding his head. "Far as I know, they moved further in. They were looking for leaders, but leaders are in hiding. We can't let them find the leaders, it would be bad if leaders were to die." If the leaders died then their people would be thrown into chaos, more so than they already were with these attacks. Their scavenging would come to an abrupt halt with no one maintaining the lines and their people as whole would be left in disarray.

"So they are still here... Okay. Here, let me help you with your wound first, then we'll go find them." Reaching back for the pack on her hip, Yumi pulled out a roll of gauze and a small tube filled with some disinfectant gel. After tearing off a strip of gauze she carefully wrapped it around the soldier's shoulder, having applied a bit of gel to the material to hopefully keep his wound from being infected. The man was certainly tired, but he'd live, and while she'd like to help him further they couldn't afford to stand around and do so. "Just find somewhere safe, we'll come back after we're done, okay?" she said, smiling as she got back to her feet and hurried over to the others, "They're still here, according to him, they just went further in. Apparently they're looking for the leaders, which means we need to find them first and protect them."

Shu didn’t like being afraid all the time when all it managed to do was hold him back greatly. He wanted to be able to fight without running away or finding trouble because he couldn’t fight back. It was upsetting that he was such a coward, only giving him the feeling of reliance on everyone else. His clan would already be out there by themselves and confidently fighting, but he was stuck being a little kid. Letting out a groan at his doubt he looked to Yumi, sighing lightly before nodding, giving a little smile at Yumi. “I’ll try. I don’t want to make people upset! I want to beat him…” Even when he tried to find confidence in himself he struggled to believe his own words, making that attempt at boosting his confidence pointless. “Strong and…a-and to be brave…ooh, maybe if I fight I can prove to myself I am strong…”

T’charrl didn’t really take note of how strong he had been getting physically, but he still didn’t really have any muscle in this form. Takeshi would probably win if he tried to take him on in a fight without using his energy. “I come in a lot of forms too, I guess. I don’t know about punching holes in mountains, people might live there…” Feeling slightly confused by Takeshi, he did get the overall gist of it. Trying to explain how he felt after his experiences after war he hoped he didn’t just confused Takeshi, but from the sounds of it he didn’t find too much confusion. “Yeah, but that’s pretty normal. I guess it’s not healthy, but a lot of soldiers go through it and can be really bad if you’re not a good person”. Probably the one they had to worry about with it was Viral considering he was the warrior and not exactly carefree like Shu. Viral had the potential of becoming the next General even if he was on their side.

To look for survivors in this mess seemed more like it would be more of a distraction than anything else. They hadn’t found the whereabouts of the King and Krom and without being able to sense their energy everything had come to a standstill. They weren’t on a mission to find the injured, they were supposed to be going after their prime enemy right now. Kai couldn’t be bothered with any of this and was trying to find the energy of Krom or the King while they all fussed around in this area doing generally nothing important. Going along with everyone while they were contemplating, the sound and sight of an alien emerging immediately put him on edge. Yumi’s very quick show of peace came to a relief to him when it worked, but now they had to deal with this alien over the King. It looked like a nasty little lizard to him, but dismissing that fact the lizard was giving them some pretty handy information.

Choi didn’t know what to make of the alien but the information he was giving them was about enough for them to find the King and Krom much to his dislike. He didn’t want to find them now that he thought about it, he kind of hoped they had left the planet by now. Sighing as Yumi decided to give the alien some treatment he looked away, frowning. “If we come back, you know? We don’t know if we’ll win or lose at this point”, he spoke before looking back, “Uhh I’m not trying spread doubt, I mean…just incase. They are out there somewhere and we’re out in the open”.

Yumi knew Shu could be strong too, he just had to be more confident in himself. She had seen personally several times just how much strength her young friend had, all they had to do was teach him to use that strength. "Sometimes doing what we're afraid of is the best way to overcome it. As long as you have us at your side you have nothing to be afraid of Shu." Strength in numbers as they say, and Shu had plenty of backup going into this fight. She'd have continued her talk with Shu if the sudden appearance of one of the natives didn't spook everyone, and send Yumi to their side to see if she could help. Maybe it was a bit naive to go blindly rushing to someone, but she couldn't in good conscience just leave them, even when she was at first threatened; as it turned out showing mercy helped, they got some important if rather disheartening information about their targets. After bandaging up the native she returned to the group, sharing the news with a reluctant smile. "They're still here... Which means we might be walking right into them," Yumi reiterated, looking back briefly as the alien snuck away into one of the undisturbed buildings, "Now we just have to find them, or they find us."

"Of course we're going to come back, we'll find a way to win here," Yumi said to Choi, frowning as she looked over at him. Shu was having enough worries as it was without him bringing his doubts up, and while surely everyone felt it voicing them didn't help. "If they were going to attack us then they would have already, don't you think? I can only guess they don't know we're here yet, they must be busy with whatever they're up to." A blessing in disguise, as that meant so long as they kept themselves out of sight they could track down the pair, maybe even get the jump on them. Letting out a soft sigh she scratched at one of her ears for a moment, lifting her head and closing her eyes before giving the air a sniff. "Let's see... I can't smell much over all the wreckage, but I bet if we just follow it then we'll find where they are."

That was all the direction that Takeshi needed for this, just follow the trail of destruction and they'd find the King and Krom. "Well alright then, let's find those two and kick their asses," he said, grinning as he started walking off, halting when Yumi grabbed his shoulder to stop him, "What? You said they aren't here, so let's go find them!"

"Didn't you hear what Choi just said? We're in the open dummy, we can't just wander around like this," Yumi retorted, rolling her eyes before looking around them for some kind of alley. "We shouldn't move too quick and try to stay hidden as much as we can, otherwise we'll basically paint a big target on our backs." Given a decent number of buildings were destroyed, at least partially, it made moving between them somewhat easy. Cutting across the road she stepped into a broken down structure, poking her head in before waving the others along, cutting across the room to a hole in the back which gave way to the building adjacent to it. There appeared to be nooks and crannies between all the buildings, and while there was no overhead cover they were at least safe from prying eyes on the road. "If we just stay back here then we'll be okay..."

All of this sneaking around was getting old awfully fast; his father and Krom were here, Takeshi didn't see why they had to waste time tiptoeing around like this. Realistically he doubted their getting the jump on either man was possible, and if it was their attacks weren't liable to do much. Letting out a silent huff as Yumi took them through buildings he kept glancing up to the sky, perhaps expecting someone to be following them but never seeing a soul. Everything in the city was quiet as they moved along, no signs of a fight taking place nor any surges of energy to give away a position. Takeshi couldn't think of any reason the native might have lied to them, but he was seriously beginning to consider it. After having traveled a few blocks with nothing to speak of he finally stopped, letting out an annoyed growl and kicking a brick against a wall.

"This is crap! We should be trying to draw them out, not sneak up on them!" Takeshi snapped, throwing his hands up before looking at Yumi, "People could be getting attacked for all we know, and here we are slithering around hoping we find something!"

"Relax will you? If we get snuck up on then we could be done then and there, don't you see that? I don't like it any more than you do, but we don't have any choice," Yumi retorted, placing her hands on her hips and watching as Takeshi trudged off. Rolling her eyes she gave a shake of her head, looking over at Shu and giving him a small smile. "Can you go talk to him? I'll try to think of something in the meantime, I agree this is taking too long."

Haku had just been following along for the most part thus far, not feeling quite in place to make any decisions. Though he was willing to fight with these people he wasn't exactly looking forward to it, and so going by Yumi's plan was fine by him; Takeshi did raise a fair point too however, they were taking a long time to find these two men. While the group settled in for a moment, or in the Princes' case stormed off, he had gone to the second floor to get some privacy and relax, sitting by a busted out window. This whole trip of theirs was beyond stressful, he just wished they'd either find the King and his man or discover they had left, the not knowing was killing him. Wringing his hands together nervously as he leaned up against the wall, Haku jumped slightly when a fairly loud crash sounded outside, followed by glass shattering and a yell. Tensing up for a moment he slowly turned towards the window, easing out to see what was going on. Down below was another one of the natives, dressed in a uniform similar to what the alien from before had on, only this one looked more... Regal? Paling uneasily he watched as the alien tried picking themselves up, his eyes darting to another building when two figures exited. Before both had even completely gotten out he was already back against the wall, covered in a nervous sweat as he tried to breathe steadily. They were right down the street, how had they not noticed them?! This wasn't good, not good at all.

"I won't ask again... Stop this ridiculous fighting and agree to my terms," Yamate said, staring down the alien as he approached him, "Your cities are in ruins and your soldiers defeated, there is no reason for you to continue to resist. If you truly value your lives then just align yourselves with us, that's all you must do to stop this." Such a pitiful display, even now the alien looked like he was trying to get up to fight. With a broken leg and likely some fractured ribs however he doubted that would be happening, as sure enough the man slumped back to the ground in pain. With a show of disgust he walked over and grabbed the alien by his shirt, lifting him up and frowning, "I suppose it doesn't matter, it's not as though you'll be fighting anymore. Once you're through then we'll be able to convert your world anyways, or whoever's world this used to be, you damned leech." Raising a hand to strike down the alien, Yamate's eyes shifted to the corners to see a Ki blast speeding towards them, dropping the man and leaning slightly to easily avoid it. There was that human girl from before, how interesting that she was here. Sensing an energy from behind he turned and easily blocked a kick from Kabocha, pushing the boy away before glancing down, feeling more energy suddenly surging. Takeshi had ended up just beneath him, and with a massive amount of Ki in his hands it was let loose, engulfing the king in the blast.

Takeshi waited until his attack was through before dashing back to where his friends were, frowning as he noticed his father was gone. No way had that killed him, that would have been way too easy if it had. Somehow they had pulled one over Krom and caught him off-guard, but they'd gone for the King instead. After a brief moment of confusion he finally glanced up into the sky, seeing Yamate hovering a bit above Krom, totally unscathed as one might expect. Sneering he watched his father slowly descend to the ground, cussing under his breath before letting out a scoff. "Course he wouldn't die so easily... Everything he does has to be a pain..."

Shu didn’t think he’d ever be able to find his strength when he was unable to become strong in the first place. He knew he couldn’t measure up to the others unless he let himself go wild, but even then that wasn’t true strength. That was all pretend, just some affliction he didn’t know how to control. If he went into battle against either his father or Krom he knew he would he completely destroyed. Looking up to Yumi he lowered his gaze after she spoke to him, scratching his head. “Yeah…I just…know it will hurt a lot too…” He did wonder what he was supposed to be in this group and where his place was because he certainly didn’t find it yet. He wanted to find his place and if he did manage to do good in this battle, maybe he would find the respect he so desired.

Following after Yumi he frowned at the others as they only seemed to get wound up through their frustrations and worries as well. Yumi only seemed to try and support Choi at this point, but Takeshi didn’t sound all that happy to plan out their attack. Shu would rather they did that, he didn’t like the thought of hanging around waiting for something to happen either but he also didn’t want to end up getting blasted because they were arguing over nothing. Shu did like plans, but he didn’t like being in one place like this. Shu knew this was a bad idea from the very start and with the building anxiety it really made Shu not feel terribly great. He didn’t know what to feel and having the others go around in silence like this only made him worried that bad things were going to happen.

The moment Takeshi kicked a brick through the silence Shu let out a sudden cry, his heart leaping in his chest as he immediately made a dash back, his hands going to his head. That scared him quite a bit, but what was worse was Takeshi was the one who did it and the one who got all aggressive over nothing. Maybe it was because he didn’t want to find his father, but he really couldn’t understand why Takeshi went ahead and did that. Staring at him as Yumi tried to talk some sense into him he frowned, staring at the pair before looking to Yumi when Takeshi decided to stomp on ahead. He didn’t want to be the one to talk to him just because he was his brother when he was acting like this. Sighing lightly, Shu gave a quick nod and headed on after Takeshi, opening his mouth briefly before letting out a sigh. He didn’t know what to say to him, he just knew he wouldn’t be taken seriously.

He was just going to feel awful if he tried talking to him about a matter he didn’t completely understand. He didn’t know why it was such a big deal to find the King, but he had a feeling all this stomping around was just going to have him find them sooner. Walking along with him calmly he tried to keep up with Takeshi, tripping up on debris sometimes in his haste to keep up with Takeshi he got a fright when Takeshi was very quick to move again, running on after him. Struggling to keep up he immediately came to a stop when he realised where he was heading, seeing his father and Krom being assaulted by the others. Very quickly he hid away, feeling little desire to be seen.

Krom had only been accompanying Yamate as he did all the work, watching as he threw the alien around with little regard to the fact he was another living being. It was all just business to them, but the moment there was a slight power surge he was immediately on guard; however, the attacks weren’t aimed for him. Yamate was being attacked in a rather undignified fashion in an attempted ambush. Sighing in annoyance to see who it was he was surprised it was the girl they took along with a rebel Saiyan. He didn’t need to help Yamate, he knew he already had it under control. Turning to face them he noticed Takeshi make a lame attempt at his own surprise attack, watching as he only made a pause. That was rather amusing, especially when he was the one who didn’t expect such an attack. So they were interested in the King? Fair enough. “What’s this? I was kind of expecting Korian, myself…” he spoke, seeing more arriving. The Saiyan twins that had disappeared dropped in not too soon after he spoke, he had been wondering where they went, but also another alien he wasn’t familiar with. Chuckling, he turned to them. “Been out recruiting? Only missing the kid and Beastman at this point.”

Takeshi was very agitated this was taking so long, positive that more people were dying because of them. The whole point of being here was to fight the two Saiyans, why then were they trying to do that in the most roundabout way possible? Growling in annoyance at the whole deal he stopped when he heard someone racing down the stairs, turning around and frowning seeing a very worried looking Haku standing at the bottom. It only took a moment to tell everyone what he had seen, and without a word edgewise everyone moved out fairly quick to stop the alien from certain death. There was no communication between anyone, and yet Yumi, Kabocha and Takeshi all managed to coordinate a three part attack somehow, perhaps following one another's lead in going after Yamate. While ultimately their efforts hadn't done any damage they did manage to free the alien from Yamate's grasp, and Haku had quickly gotten the man away and into the building they'd been taking cover in. Well now they had their targets in sight, and despite the obvious threat of who the enemy was, Takeshi couldn't be any happier. A lot of grief and problems had been caused by these two, it was high time they were made to pay for it.

Yamate hadn't fully noticed the attacks coming at first, yet they had been simple enough to handle. If that was the effort they were going to be putting into their strikes then this wasn't going to be very much of a battle. Odd that his sons and their friends should be here, as like Krom he had expected the rebel leader, what with their proximity to Uuonoe. Had Korian not noticed their departure, or had he not even been notified? He had not expected this, though he supposed it wasn't such a bad thing; it had been a while since he'd seen either of the boys, and now was a good a time as any to test how much stronger they had gotten. Neither looked any more imposing than before, and in fact Shu looked like he was about to soil himself, but looks could be deceiving.

"If you mean Vegeta and Viral, they're busy. We don't need them to beat you two anyways," Takeshi answered bitterly, smirking as he stared down Krom, "We're here for him though, to kick your ass and make you pay for what you did to him. And when we're done kicking your ass we'll bring you down too," he added, glancing over to his father. Seeing the smug smile on Yamate's face made him quickly lose his own, snarling under his breath as he clenched his hands into tight fists. He couldn't wait to wipe that look of the man's face, he was going to be in a world of hurt when they were through. He just wanted to dive right into the fight now and get it going, but he knew what was planned and rushing in headlong wasn't it. Turning his attention back onto Krom he exhaled softly before wiping at his nose with a finger, his smirk coming back as he raised an eyebrow. "I gotta say... You look way different now that you're not all bloody and covered in bandages. Did you want to get beat by kids so bad again you decided to come out here?"

"Takeshi... Please, do you know how idiotic you sound when you speak sometimes?" Yamate asked, rolling his eyes as he folded his arms, "We're trained soldiers, we don't become enraged over childish taunts, certainly not ones as menial as that. I would have hoped you knew how to carry out proper antagonizing from your training, but seems like everything else you just managed to forget somehow. Here, let me show you how it's done..." Reaching out his left arm he began gathering Ki, aimed first at the group until he moved it to their right, firing past everyone and at the building where the alien had been in hiding. In a single blink of an eye it was gone, blowing apart into pieces of smoldering rubble as a tall pillar of smoke began rising up from its place. Feeling a few energies spiking up from anger, the King let out a curt laugh, turning back to the group amused. "If you can get into your opponents head then you can make them make mistakes, and that is the easiest way to ensure victory. You're all still young and naive, you can't control your emotions, and because of that," he began, pausing briefly to lean to the side as a blast was fired at him, "That will be the..."

Yamate had trailed off out of confusion, briefly losing his train of thought when he saw Haku in the back of the group, smiling at him. Raising an eyebrow he realized where the blast had come from, noticing the alien was behind the boy and not in fact in the building. But when had he come out? Hm, sneaky, but he supposed it didn't much matter, and it was better he didn't kill the man anyways. "W-We might be young... But that doesn't mean we can't fight..." Haku said, feeling himself get all clammy under the King's gaze, "Y-You're not going to hurt anymore people...!"

The King couldn't help but laugh at that comment, finding it both adorable and amusing that such a weakling would make such a bold statement. "The rat finds some new friends and suddenly he finds courage! Or is that false bravado, being surrounded by the others?" Yamate asked, grinning as he looking at every member of the group, "Numbers mean nothing to us, there could be ten of you or a hundred, the outcome won't change. I don't know why you came here or what you hope to accomplish, but each and every one of you will fall here today." If his sons truly wished to beat him then they would, they had the potential to do so. He would do whatever it took today to unlock that, even if it meant killing a friend or two of theirs. Sooner or later they would give up those bothersome connections and human emotions, embrace what they truly were and reach their power as a result. Reaching back and undoing a clasp on each shoulder he let his cape drop from his armor, sending one casual glance to Krom before holding his arms out to his sides. "If you wish to stop us, then stop us! Know that I have no use for you anymore, or anyone who fails me! I will not be kind to you, if you decide to go through with this foolishness. Fight and die, that is what awaits you. So tell me, are you still so certain you want to battle?"

"Are we certain? Hell no, but what choice do we have?" Kabocha spoke up, scowling as he threw a hand to the side angrily, "Even if we don't fight you're going to kill us, we know what you do to traitors! I don't know about everyone else here, but I'd rather die like a warrior and go down fighting then get shot in the back running." Just where in the hell was this coming from? A moment ago he was ready to let Shu and T'charrl take the brunt of the battle, but now here he was prepared to thrown down as well. Maybe he was realizing what a dumb idea it had been, or that realistically he was going to have to fight anyways. Whatever the case was he had made peace with it, and while frightened by the prospect Kabocha was ready to do battle. Smiling nervously he looked over at the twins, forcing a grin as he nodded towards Krom and Yamate. "How about it, you two ready? I think it's about time we show them what some regulars can really do."

Krom couldn’t be bothered with this right now, they had important work to do and them all being here was only going to cause further disruption. He didn’t know why they had come here so quickly, Korian should’ve been the one to come without telling them that they were here, but whatever. Maybe this meant Korian trusted the group’s strength to fight against him and Yamate, but he wasn’t completely certain. To him it appeared as if it was a matter of them sneaking off because Korian wasn’t around. They certainly appeared to had gotten around since he last saw them considering they had a few new friends, but he couldn’t say he cared much for that. So they had more allies, that just meant more targets for him to keep an eye on.

Staring at Takeshi plainly as he made fun of him he slowly glanced to Yamate, smirking slightly as he looked back to Takeshi. It wasn’t going to work on him anyway, he was through playing around with these kids and would only hold back if this was the time Yamate wanted him to. It had been long coming, but whether it was necessary he would wait for Yamate’s call. Watching Yamate as he gathered a ball of Ki he frowned at his decision, hardly seeing that kind of action as a good idea; however, Yamate’s blast had been cut off somewhat as another came flying at him, turning to see who did that. Just some dumb kid by the looks of it and he had the alien too. Hopefully Yamate wasn’t too embarrassed with that after showing off his power like that on the building, but quite frankly he couldn’t care less.

Krom was surprised Yamate even remembered this kid to call him out like that, he didn’t remember every little Saiyan they sent out and to him the kid might as well had been a Human for all he knew. No matter, he was sure he was of no threat to them so he wasn’t going to bother with the kid. The rest of the group certainly seemed willing to go, although Yamate’s wild son certainly was into his hiding like a scared civilian. Shrugging lightly, Krom looked to Yamate as he in turn looked to him as well, giving his scouter a tap in response before getting ready.

Raising his arms up almost expecting Takeshi to come flying at him after all that hate before, but without warning the strange alien they apparently picked up flanked him and was already trying to fight him before everyone else had started. That was rather annoying, but he felt he could defend himself even if the warrior had more limbs than him. Throwing up his arms to block the initial punches he jumped away from Yamate when the alien threw another set at him, immediately following after him. If this alien was going to be his opponent then so be it, he’d have to break him faster to get onto the rest of them, the ones that mattered more to the King. “Why are you fighting against me? I don’t know you and you don’t know me, whatever you are!”

T’charrl didn’t care for all these long winded speeches and shows of power, he had already been angered at the destruction of the building in an attempt to kill the alien. It was true that he didn’t know either of these Saiyans, but he was still willing to fight for the others and hope he could cause a dent or at least distract them long enough to the point of exhaustion. Without letting Krom or Yamate go first he immediately moved in, throwing in some fairly strong punches of his own. Even if he did put a lot of power into them it felt like he had just punched solid metal. Moving after Krom when he moved he hissed as he continued to try to strike the man. “I am T’charrl and you are the enemy! That’s it!”

Kai and Choi were feeling particularly nervous together but they were going to have to suck it up and get on with this fight, especially if they wanted to live. They had to keep out of the King’s most deadly attacks and move as quick as possible, but something told the pair that they were going to go down fairly quickly. Looking to Kabocha when he called to them, they turned to each other again before they readied themselves. “Just don’t get hit, that’s all we have to do”, Kai spoke, the twins moving in sync with each other before disappearing, each of them moving into distract Yamate, trying to use their speed and a double-image technique to catch him off-guard. It probably won’t work, but at least they can say they tried.

Takeshi was ready to start pummeling Krom and his father, nut he was trying his hardest not to jump the gun. If he went in when everyone else wasn't prepared then it could be a big problem, best not to complicate things. In spite of his thinking this it seemed like not everyone shared that sentiment, as T'charrl was quick to leap into action. Well that was faster than expected, it looked like they weren't really coming up with any game plan. Fair enough, that was pretty much his style anyways. Grinning he dashed in after T'charrl, ignoring his father who stood by as he went for Krom. With his friend keeping the Elite backing up he decided to join in, weaving around from behind the Kaesstrian and waiting until he got an opening, jumping up and trying to kick Krom in the side of the head while he was busy, "Don't forget me dammit, I'm your opponent too!" he shouted, cussing as he only caught air with his kick, landing back on his feet before lunging ahead, throwing a series of punches as well, keeping out of T'charrl's way.

Kabocha really didn't want to be fighting the King, but being here before the man now they had little choice. With T'charrl going in after Krom too he knew they had to act, otherwise they'd risk something going wrong if Yamate was given a window. "Tch... Yeah, don't get hit by a man faster and stronger than us, no problem," he remarked, preparing himself as Choi and Kai shot off to get things started. Taking off after them he gritted his teeth seeing how easily Yamate was holding them at bay, seeming to never lose track of them as he blocked any incoming strikes with one hand. With the twins to either side he went right down the middle, giving a shout as he clasped his hands together and jumped up, slamming them down and missing as the King dashed back, creating a crater in the road with the hit. He was making this look easy, was he just messing with them?

"For now we just keep back, let them fight..." Yumi mumbled to herself, watching as her friends all rushed down the King and Krom. It wasn't easy sitting by like this, but if she tried helping now she'd only get in the way. It wasn't like she was without purpose now anyways, what with keeping an eye on Shu and Haku. It struck her somewhat odd that she was meant to protect Shu, someone stronger than her, but she'd not argue it. Glancing back at the pair and the alien she gave them a small smile, flashing a thumbs up as well to try and reassure them. "They know what they're doing, don't worry. We're going to win, just you watch." Glancing back at the battle going on her smile faded however, reaching up and rubbing at one of her ears nervously. None of their friends were fighting at full strength yet, but then neither were the King or Krom for that matter. They knew the two men were stronger, the only thing they didn't know was by how much; they had numbers on their side, but she knew perfectly well that there were just some opponents you couldn't beat, not always. Much as she tried to keep positive she knew how dangerous this was, and it was now far too late to have second thoughts.

Krom was already annoyed at the alien all jumping at him like that and without warning too. He didn’t know what this thing was or why it was even after him, especially when they’d obviously never done anything to creatures like these. He didn’t even recognise this thing and he had a knack for remember what planets and aliens they conquered. Throwing his arms up in defence as he sprung back, trying to get out of the way of this alien’s attacks before he was suddenly joined by Takeshi too. Ducking in annoyance he looked up to Takeshi, catching the punches. “What the hell happened to common courtesy in battle?? Is this always the case with you idiots??” Having a good fight was always a pleasure, but with Takeshi it was always a case of being rushed two on one. At least his little brother was staying out of the fight, much to his convenience.

T’charrl was taking a fair rampage against this opponent of his, knowing his opponent was probably used to using attacks that were systematic and controlled. It always seemed to be a thing with fighting the others that they had all these techniques, but rarely did they fight with wild punches. T’charrl felt he had the advantage with his extra pair of arms, but he was still struggling with getting through this guy’s wall of block. Watching where Takeshi was when he decided to come in he moved around Krom as Takeshi took some focus before managing to throw a set of fists into Krom’s back, however he barely flinched. He wasn’t managing to get a good hit in, all his attacks were too weak for this man in armour. He needed to either smash it apart with Takeshi or destroy the guy’s limbs to give them an advantage. If he could get close enough to bite the Saiyan’s arm, he could at least put one out of commission for a short time with his venom.

Kai and Choi needed to move fast if they were to keep up with the King, but right now it didn’t seem to be doing them much good. With Kabocha there they could easily watch out for each other, but they still had to have an idea. They needed to weaken him enough so that he might retreat. They knew they weren’t going to be able to beat him, but the most they could do was save this planet and have the pair back away. Trying to hold the King in place with their agility while Kabocha flew in, they were surprised when Kabocha ended up missing completely, instead watching as the King vanished and dodged it completely. Not wasting any time they moved in once more, both gathering up energy as they came in from the sides, hoping Kabocha would follow up from the front before firing Ki blasts at the same time.

Shu was trying to keep down low as he watched everyone immediately head into battle, watching them fearfully. He didn’t know what was happening sometimes as he raised his hands to cover his eyes when a big hit came in, but all he had to know was Yamate was doing little attacking himself all while Krom was getting used as a punching bag. It was weird that Krom was doing more blocking and less dodging, but he tried not to think about that too much. Looking up to Yumi when she tried to give reassurances he frowned at her reaction, raising his shoulders slightly before looking back. He really didn’t feel good about this, nor did he feel his fear leaving him for some hope. Letting out a groan he sunk down a little more, holding onto his sides for some comfort. “I just want them to leave…”

Takeshi didn't want to wait for T'charrl to finish, they would just have to be careful not to hit one another. While the Kaesstrian had Krom on the ropes he went in for an attack as well, trying and failing to catch the man in the head with a kick. Growling in annoyance he dived right in after the fleeing Elite, throwing punches as well to keep him on the defense. "Common courtesy? We're here to kick your ass, not make friends!" the Prince retorted, throwing a quick jab and falling forward slightly as he missed, quickly jumping away and diving back at Krom's side, throwing a punch towards his ribs. They had beaten this guy twice already, and that had been when they were far weaker and much less experienced and less trained. If anything good had come of their imprisonment then it was the training, something that Takeshi was now eager to make use of to pummel Krom into the ground. T'charrl managed to land a blow in the flurry of limbs, but it didn't seem to do much as Krom barely missed a beat, continuing to fend them off. "Grr... Just lie down and die already!"

It was almost insulting that these three be sent after him, that they might think this trio of rejects could somehow cause him harm. Kai and Choi were fast, even Yamate acknowledged that, and Kabocha could be powerful in his own right, but none of them meant a thing to him. Even while contending with the speedy twins he had an easy time of dodging Kabocha's overhead blow, watching as the ground was broken into pieces from the force. Smirking in amusement he watched as Kai and Choi came back at him, each of them gathering up Ki in their hands. Extending out both of his arms, the King shot off energy of his own to counteract the blasts, looking dead ahead when he noticed a third blast barreling down at him, courtesy of Kabocha. While preoccupied with the other two blasts he had nothing free for the third, his smirk fading as he stood firm and took the hit, being engulfed in a massive blast and cloud as all three attacks converged on him. When the smoke and light faded from the initial explosion he walked out of the crater that had been formed, pieces of his armor missing and himself dirtied but otherwise unfazed and unharmed. "Pitiful... And they told me this suit was more durable..." he mumbled, frowning as he tore off the body piece and simply threw it aside, wearing now only the lower armor and a fitting blue shirt. "Is that all you three have? You managed to ruin my shirt, for what it's worth."

The fight was only started, but their friends were already going into it with the intent to kill. Fear was quickly being replaced by anger from what Yumi could tell, and everyone was determined to bring these men down. She should imagine so too, for all the pain and suffering they and their "empire" had caused everyone. This was all about revenge, there was no denying that fact, but it was also to save a ton of people from further harm, and ensure everyone here and now was safe. Looking back to Shu again she smiled sadly, going over to his side and kneeling down, placing an arm around him and pulling the little Saiyan to her side. "We can't let them leave, you know that, we're going to beat them first," she explained, pausing when she felt energies suddenly spike up. Seeing the twins and Kabocha firing blasts off at Yamate she quickly turned her head when debris was scattered everywhere, not having to look to know the King was unharmed by that. Frowning in slight disappointment at that fact she focused back on Shu, giving him a smile again, "Just keep an eye on them, in case we need to help. I'll be right here the whole time, don't be afraid."

Krom was already pretty angry at this, finding fending off Takeshi and this alien to be most bothersome. He would’ve been happier to have those other Saiyans fighting him, but instead it happened to be the most annoying kid in the galaxy and his multi-limbed friend. He wasn’t worried for the King, he could probably take them all down if he wanted in an instant, but that wasn’t the plan. There was more to their reluctance to just destroy them all, even if Krom didn’t like it since it meant holding back. Holding off the alien he looked to Takeshi briefly, already getting annoyed at his voice. “I should know better when you’re just a hooligan! At least your brother is smart enough to stay out of this…” Managing to hold his own with little effort he held off the alien’s punches, watching him carefully before smirking at his words. “Lie down and die? Who are you talking to? Him, maybe??” With a sudden movement Krom immediately grabbed T’charrl, throwing him down in a fair vicious toss before turning around, combating Takeshi properly this time. Throwing fists at him he took little heed for T’charrl, seeing how the toss was strong enough to shatter that frail looking frame of his.

The twins were trying, even if it was the King they were up against. They had to show they were capable of doing something good even if the man was incredibly strong. There was no way they could do anything other than maybe a scratch on him and could only hope he would be merciful with them, but it hardly seemed like it was going to happen. The man didn’t know them all that well probably, even if they were fair unique among Saiyans. Firing the blasts was one of their first tries at testing the King’s power to see just how much he might be able to brush it off. After throwing the blasts they waited a moment, trying to see through the smoke and debris before being greeted with a fairly typical image. The King barely looked touched and was instead complaining about his suit, the twins frowning and glancing at each other before down at the King again. This was definitely going to be a whole lot harder than it was made out to be, but it was expected too. Looking between each other, they both sighed before redirecting their attention to him again with Kai speaking up. “It is your superiors that helped trained us and we were top of the rookie classes, so maybe you should blame them if we’re not good enough for you”. Not willing to wait for the King’s words they immediately rushed in once more, trying to take with them a flurry of attacks that would hopefully have the King on the ropes. They needed to use their speed to allow Kabocha to gain some openings, but they didn’t have a plan beyond that quite yet.

Shu didn’t like this at all and couldn’t understand why it had to be this way. Sure their father had been doing bad things, but he would leave even after a while of them hitting him without needing to go as far as fight to the death. He felt he was going to lose everyone here and they had no Dragonballs to bring them back if anything bad happened to them. Holding his ears as they continued to clash together he squeaked when Yumi pulled him in for a little hug, looking up at her with a frown. “B-But we can’t-ah!” Getting frightened from the force of the blast he raised his arms up, trying to shield himself from the debris too. Looking up just a little bit to see what had happened he frowned when he saw his father standing there practically unhurt, his eyes going to Yumi again when she made another attempt at comforting him. “I can’t help it…I can’t. If they can’t hurt Father, how do I help?”

"Keep Shu out of this you creep! This is between us!" Takeshi shouted angrily, taking another swing at Krom and missing. His little brother had absolutely no part in the battle right now, and if he got his way then it would stay as such. If he couldn't land a single hit though then he'd never get anywhere... Why was he struggling so much? He should be way stronger than last time, how come he wasn't beating this guy into the dirt? Watching as T'charrl was grabbed abruptly he tried to reach out and help, unable to get to his friend in time as the Kaesstrian was slammed into the ground quite harshly. Cussing loudly he wanted to try and get to T'charrl's side, but instead Krom was coming after him now to keep him away. Ducking under the first punch he let out a grunt when he caught a blow in the jaw, stumbling back and taking another hit to the stomach, managing to push away the next blow and try grabbing hold of Krom's larger arm under his own, hoping to trap the man as he began throwing hard right hands to try and pummel the man down.

Yamate loathed having to waste time on these three, but it looked like Krom was busy with Takeshi and that alien of theirs. The former squad was certainly trying, he could see where their training was playing in, but it wasn't enough. The simple fact of the situation was they were just too weak, no amount of training was going to bridge the gap between them; whether 3 or 30, these children couldn't hope to defeat him now, of that he was certain. Having taken a trio of blasts, he had decided to make his point more poignant as he stood at the epicenter, emerging unfazed by it moments later with nothing but a tattered suit of armor to show for it. Tossing aside the ruined cloth dismissively he glanced at the group, smirking amused when Kai argued with him. "They trained you, but if you were any good you would have superseded that training, become something more. I'm ashamed to say that even with those accolades you're nothing more than children, and that's all you'll ever be." Dashing forward suddenly he moved between the twins, smiling amused as he looked down at a stunned Kabocha. "None of you will ever amount to anything, you'll always be of lower status, just weaklings." Reaching out he grabbed Kabocha by the throat and lifted him off the ground, gathering Ki in his free palm before blasting the Saiyan point-blank, sending him flying back and away before he turned on the twins, trying to simultaneously kick both of them with a wide sweeping kick.

Things were escalating too quickly, as Ki was already being thrown around and people getting hurt because of it. Watching wide eyed as Yamate emerged from a blast unscathed, Yumi turned back to Shu as he continued to panic. "Just... Stay here for now, okay? Help them by staying out of trouble, and..." she began, pausing as Kabocha suddenly went flying past them and into a building. Looking at their friend in shock she turned her head to see T'charrl get slammed down, gritting her teeth and focusing again on Shu. "You two help Kabocha, then stay with Haku. I'm going to go help, okay?" Giving Shu's hair a gentle ruffle she placed a kiss on his forehead, dashing in after Yamate, managing to somehow knock into him and throw his kick off to miss the twins. In doing so however the King turned on her, and she only just raised her arms to absorb the force of his punch, getting knocked back away and wincing as she felt the impact make both arms ache quite a bit. "Come on you two, keep at it! We can beat him!" she shouted, gathering Ki in both hands and blasting it off after the King, cursing as he simply dashed to the side and she missed.

Holy crap that was a painful hit, but he was still alive. Why was he still alive? The King had enough power to blow entire planets apart, so blowing through one of them should be child's play. Yet once Kabocha had gathered himself together he glanced down at his body armor, astonished to see it burned away and his skin a bit red, but minimal damage otherwise. Why hadn't it gone through? Looking back at the fighting he watched as Yumi became involved, grunting as he pushed himself out of the rubble and rubbed at his throat, coughing from having it squeezed. Trying to get back into the fight he began walking ahead, stopping when Haku and Shu both came over, giving them a puzzled look. "I'm fine... Get out of my way, you two aren't helping so move," he said sharply, annoyed that he'd been replaced if temporarily by Yumi. He was a Saiyan noble dammit, and he should be part of bringing the King down, not her. Flaring up his energy he rushed past the other boys, getting back into the fight again himself.

“Why?? Just because he’s smarter than you, you’re upset by that?” Krom wasn’t willing to let this kid get on his nerves, he was wanting to test him before going in for some harsher attackers. His instructions were pretty clear and he was going to follow them, even if it meant dumbing down his performance. Holding off Takeshi after flooring his friend he kept Takeshi away from him, throwing in an aggressive few punches to push the kid away, smirking when he was managing to hit Takeshi in some fairly sore spots. “C’mon! Have you been training at all since you left? I want to see some improvement!” When Takeshi decided to finally show some signs that he had been training he watched as he took hold of his arm, smirking as he started to block Takeshi’s forceful punches before suddenly a greater weight hit him square in the back, his head barely turning before he was punched in the head from behind.

Making a fair angry turn Krom pulled at Takeshi to see who was hitting him, but instead of expecting the alien he was instead treated to a fairly bulky version of it instead. “What?? The hell are you-“ So either they had more of these aliens or this was the same one, only somewhat bigger. Looking at it again it appeared it was definitely the same alien, but his form was definitely bulkier. How annoying, if he knew it was going to be like a transforming creature like a Frost Demon then he would’ve prepared himself, but instead now he had to go up against an annoying kid and some transforming alien. Growling angrily he immediately started to pull his weight again, pulling the arm Takeshi was holding him with and tried to swing around with him to throw him into his friend.

The twins were trying to keep the King occupied but he barely seemed to be tiring if even at all. He still appeared to have full strength, despite the attacks they were delivering. They didn’t really care much about getting hit at this point, but was instead just more concerned with making things easier for the others. If they could just set T’charrl and Shu off then maybe they stood a chance, maybe the King would even retreat. Glancing over to Krom real quick they saw T’charrl had already taken to the form he was stuck in previously, so that was a step forward. Taking this moment for a breather the real question was if Yamate doubted the training they received if they were considered weak. As Kai narrowed his gaze slightly at Yamate’s words they were both left surprised when the King decided to go for Kabocha directly, immediately placing the twins on alert. Raising their fists they were about to go in but were immediately attacked. Without time to block they both tried to brace themselves; however, without warning a blast was fired and redirected the man’s attack. It was Yumi who had decided to join in, their attention going to her before they both followed her lead, dashing immediately in as well and trying to hit him hard to back him into a corner.

Shu watched Yumi in hope that she could say something that might help, anything that would pull him out of this mood; however, with Kabocha being knocked away from the King it was Yumi’s turn to help, sending him into a panic. Staring at her, he gasped when she ruffled his hair and gave him a kiss before dashing away herself. Feeling all sorts of nervous he looked around frantically before making a sudden dash in the direction Kabocha went off in. Hoping that he was going to be okay he gasped when Kabocha instead emerged, stopping when he did. Staring at him for a second he frowned, moving away from him before nearly falling over when he decided to rush away back into the fight. Now he was all alone again, even if Haku was there with him. Haku didn’t show the same desire to fight as the others did and while Shu was wanting to combat his father, he felt stuck and crippled by fear. Letting out a groan he backed off, looking for a place to hide again.

"I said keep Shu out of it!" Takeshi snapped, furious even as he was struck by Krom. They were fighting, not his little brother, he shouldn't be ignored like this. Glowering up at the Elite he finally managed to grab at one of his swinging arms, firmly locking it beneath one of his own and going to throw in hard strikes of his own. They were being blocked, but at the very least now it meant the man couldn't get away from him, and sooner or later he'd find an opening. After a moment of swinging he finally took a break in his hits, only because he was stunned by what was behind Krom. Looking past the Elite at his friend T'charrl his eyes widened, shocked that he had changed so suddenly. Taken aback by the abrupt shift he wasn't aware the guy had tried to pull him around, yet once it hit him Takeshi pulled back, firmly planting himself and instead trying to toss the Elite over himself. Unfortunately for him however he was a bit too late for that, and instead felt himself lifted up as he was forced to let go, doing his best to avoid hitting T'charrl and awkwardly clipping his friend's shoulder as he tumbled to the side, hitting a street post and groaning as he bent it in half, landing on his feet and immediately clutching his back in discomfort. Crap, now T'charrl had transformed, was it even safe for him to fight too?

Yumi didn't know what in the world she was thinking attacking the King like this, but she had to do something. So long as everyone else was fighting then Shu and Haku would be safe, that would have to do for now. Being caught up in the fight now she didn't notice T'charrl having changed immediately, and after seeing him by being knocked back she sent a worried glance his way, giving a shake of her head before returning to her own battle. The twins lead the way on this strike, and she followed closely behind by rushing in then dropping low, trying to slam her foot into the man's knee and cripple him. Watching in disdain as he blocked both punches by Kai and Choi then simply jumped over her leg she growled angrily, throwing her arms up once more as she was kicked in turn, skidding back across the ground before rolling over and flipping up, getting into a low squat before dashing back in again. While they weren't exactly getting in any hits they were at the very least backing him up, and even more so thanks to Kabocha rejoining the fray.

"Four... Four piles of miserable lies and failures..." Yamate mused, grinning as he simply dashed about on the spot, evading most every attack or blocking them. He was losing ground, sure, but he hardly considered himself to be in any serious trouble. These children did not appreciate just how over their head they were, or the danger that came with this battle. Or maybe they did and simply didn't care, which could be either admirable or suicidal. Growing tired of playing this game he stopped dodging, taking four strikes all at once from each of the fighters, with a blow to the head and two to the body as well as one to the leg. Everything combined managed to make him stagger, and when he lifted his head a small trickle of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth, but otherwise he was fine. "Let me show you just how meaningless your struggle is..." Crossing his arms before his head he began amassing Ki at an alarming rate, letting out a shout as he released it in a pressurized blast around himself, aiming to knock everyone away and send them tumbling.

Haku didn't know what Yumi expected of them or how they might help Kabocha. If he was truly hurt then they wouldn't do anything, neither of them had any medical training. He'd try to stem the bleeding if the wound was open, but aside from that he couldn't offer any help. Thankfully it looked like their friend was okay, going right back into the battle while only missing a beat or two. With the others off to fight that now left Shu under his care, which realistically was worse than leaving Shu on his own. Looking over at the young Prince he frowned when he started trying to run away, reaching out and grabbing his shirt to stop him. "H-Hey, they might need us! We can't r-run!" he said, quite obviously scared too. They might not have to run away anyways, it looked like they were getting a free trip courtesy of Yamate. Feeling the surge of Ki, Haku looked behind them just in time to see the concussive blast go off, gasping and hastily shoving Shu to the side into a building, getting tossed away a second after as he tumbled down the road, slamming into a container on the side and denting it before ending up in a heap on the road, groaning as he rolled onto his back.

T’charrl hadn’t changed completely but he was big enough to tower over the Saiyan as he stood tall. He wasn’t as fast as he could be but he was strong, only hoping he might be able to help before he advanced any further. If they were hoping for him to change completely then they would have to drop that hope for he was determined not to let it happen. He could do more than become a monster and he did want to prove that, but it didn’t help that others were probably alerted by the fact that he did change into this form already. Managing to throw off the Saiyan pretty well he was alerted when the Saiyan decided to throw Takeshi at him, barely managing to move but was hit slightly in the shoulder. His balance was thrown off, but he wasn’t going to stop fighting over that. Hissing angrily he threw a fist around again in retaliation he was managing to hit the man around finally, almost throwing him off his feet with how large his fists were compared to Krom’s arms.

Krom was getting pretty annoyed over this thing, not even fully sure to what it was. He didn’t understand it and he definitely was finding himself angry over it. Managing to throw Takeshi away he focused on the alien again, throwing his arms up to try and block the large arms that flew at him. Trying to block the attacks he watched as they came flying in at him, finding it ultimately difficult to put up with the force of the attacks. Growling slightly he soon laughed, throwing his own punches to combat the alien. “Heh! If you were on our side, you’d be up in the Elite ranks no problem!” he spoke, having to duck around this time to avoid the fists, “Takeshi couldn’t even do that!” Managing to get underneath T’charrl’s arm he threw his own punch into his side, managing to throw him off before delivering a fairly solid blast to his gut, causing him to fall back a few metres away.

Even with Yamate’s taunting the twins were not phased, both of them knowing better than to fall for taunts like that. They knew they were not as strong as the King and that he would see them as weak, so there was no surprise in the man’s words. Throwing in all they could in they were both determined to show the King they were perfectly capable warriors for their rank. Watching where Yumi and Kabocha was they made sure they could get Yamate when his guard was on them both. Watching as they were soon managing to get Yamate struggling against them they hoped they might have a chance; however, Yamate soon showed his power once again, even if it was only a fraction of what he was capable of. With both of them only hoping to prevent the attack from doing worse damage to them they raised a shield of energy, but very quickly that was shattered and the twins went flying back. Tumbling through the air the pair eventually hit solid concrete, falling hard on the ground.

Shu knew this was a lost cause and was very much ready to run away at this point with everyone starting to get hurt. Maybe if he was the first to run the others would follow, but then again nobody ever wanted to follow him. It was a stupid idea and quite clearly his father was giving them a chance to run, but now they were getting hurt. Panicking, Shu tried to run off and hide but was caught by Haku, looking to him in fear. “We can’t win! He’s too strong!” Finding it hard to get defensive over his own words he gasped when Yamate let out a surge of energy, only managing to turn just a bit before he was shoved right into the side of a building, bouncing off it and avoiding the Ki. Gasping, Shu quickly raised his arms over his head, trying to hide from possible debris before looking around frantically to see what happened with great worry.

Takeshi felt like an idiot for getting thrown like that, it was such a basic thing and yet he hadn't seen it coming. They had practiced the same sort of thing at least a dozen times over when he was on Kortal, how in the hell didn't he expect it? Because he was an idiot now T'charrl was facing off alone against Krom, at least temporarily. Snarling angrily when Krom took a blatant shot at him he started back at the man, watching as T'charrl was knocked away from the man. "Elite? Screw that, I'm already better than you!" the Prince snapped, vanishing and reappearing just above Krom, Ki in both hands before he threw it down. Following after his own blast he went right into the cloud that formed, trying to attack his opponent from either side, aiming to hit him in the ribs and maybe break something, slow him down. "Don't underestimate me!" Whether his strikes to the side landed or not he'd just keep going, throwing punch after punch just wanting to hurt Krom.

Yamate didn't have any desire to end this battle too soon, but much akin to being swarmed by flies it was both a nuisance and a waste of his time. He was not here to gauge the strength of these children, it was his own two sons he was more interested in. To the credit of these four they did manage to get him off balance, albeit it was hardly equivalent to winning the fight. They wouldn't heed his words, so perhaps a show of strength was in order to be rid of them. Gathering up Ki all over his person he released it at once in a concussive blast, a largely invisible yet powerful shockwave that shot out with him at the epicenter. The twins were the first to go, being thrown aside like paper in the wind as they each slammed into the pavement quite hard. Yumi was sent off in the near opposite direction, flying through an already broken window and ending up in a ruined building; Haku was thrown into a metal container, denting it before collapsing at the foot of the object. Smirking amused at how easily they had been defeated, Yamate wiped the corner of his mouth and took a glance around to try and spot his other son. It seemed like his youngest hadn't grown at all over these few months, he was just as meek as ever.

"Come now Shu, that's no way for a proud warrior to behave," Yamate said aloud, laughing as he began approaching the young Saiyan, "Show some mettle, or at least suck up your fear and fight with it, don't cower like a newborn. Do you honestly mean to tell me that this is what my son has to offer?" At least Takeshi was fighting, albeit he was just as reckless and predictable as ever. Shu had the potential to be so powerful, yet he'd never be able to show that if he was too cowardly to even watch a fight, let alone participate in one. Taking a casual glance at the twins crumpled along the pavement he sniffed in disinterest, giving a soft click of his tongue before smiling at Shu again. "No one is left to protect you, it's time for you to fight my son," the King mumbled, suddenly dashing ahead and coming to a standstill right before his youngest, grinning amused, "Or will you let their efforts be for naught?"
