Shu squeaked, pulling the covers up a little bit. Being in control while attacking and attacking without control was no different to him, he still hurt his friends. If he was able to find some way to find logic in why that happened to him or what caused it, he would be happier; however, as it stood he still couldn’t stop himself from doing terrible things that he had absolutely no knowledge about. He was the worst at helping his friends. “But you weren’t afraid of being bad at hurting friends! I know I didn’t mean to, but…doesn’t help. It could be worse next time…I could be worse. I just want to know what is wrong with me…”

Shu didn’t particularly want to talk about this subject, problem was it was something he was genuinely worried about. He always got told to talk about his problems, but when he did it never seemed to feel better. He wanted to get help, but his problem had been the reason he was experimented on and used by his father. Nobody had anything like it and if Saiyans didn’t go through it then he was completely out of luck to what it could possibly be. “I-I just want to know why…why it happens. I’m scared…” he squeaked, looking up at Takeshi again, “How do you help it? So long since help! How to make it safer too? Do you know…? Why not help before? Why until now…?” Not understanding the reasons for his changes he only found fear in it with every change leaving him feeling terrible. “I’m…a big help? Not like this. I only be help when I get better! But how get better? How you help me so I be big help and not confused?”

Viral shook his head. “It’s too hard to argue on the matter sometimes when you’re so persistent with all these ‘humanity’ speeches you get going with. Until I start experiencing anything like that that’s not forced, I’ll believe you. It’s probably easier to just let you have your naïve belief while I continue to follow along with it”. He wouldn’t mind believing it, but so far everybody on the outside has wanted to use him. He didn’t know why he was always in such high demand, but his power must have quite a lot of potential if everybody saw him as a great asset. Sure, he could destroy very efficiently, but that didn’t give him the answers he wanted and why everybody was so keen to own his power. “Hmph, you sound like you’re the one in denial now. What were you even wanting to be other than a multi-millionaire? Isn’t that every Human’s dream? Have lots of damn money?”

Viral didn’t know how he’d handle doing a cleaning job, especially when this was all after a battle that took place not that long ago. What probably would set him off would be if he found a body in the rubble, even if he heard the Uuonians had a pretty efficient evacuation system. It was still something he didn’t want to see, even if he had seen the dead many times it would probably be the innocent deaths that would set him off. Trying to shake off that possibility he frowned as he looked to Vegeta, lightly dusting his paws. “Being around people is putting me on edge, so the faster I tire out, the better”, he sighed, shaking his head, “I know they’re probably good people, but I can’t deal with it. Also if you spot something I probably shouldn’t see before I do, do get rid of it before I turn around”.

"That's true... But then I didn't really have friends to worry about hurting now did I?" Takeshi asked, a faint smile crossing his lips as he shrugged his shoulders, "A small part of me didn't want to hurt everyone whenever I did change though, for what it's worth. I wanted to change and beat who I had to beat, that was it. So I kind of understand, a little." That was as much as he could say, he'd really never been in a situation like Shu was. That aside, even now he really didn't much care quite the same as his brother, even if he tried to. Maybe he wasn't killing indiscriminately anymore, but he found it difficult to worry if people got hurt or not. So what was wrong with Shu? There were guesses, but given his record Takeshi wagered that each of them were wrong. Unless he wanted to upset Shu further then it was probably best he just clam up and not say anything on the subject.

There was good and bad to be gained from this discussion; good news was that Shu was talking, bad news was he was talking to someone who couldn't help. The little guy could have an epiphany here and now, say exactly what it was that was bothering him, and Takeshi would still be useless in helping it. Looking at Shu as he questioned the older boy frantically, Takeshi's eyes shifted downward as he shifted around uncertainly, rubbing at his neck as he tried to come up with some sort of answer. "I mean... It seems like you change whenever you get really mad. It's like when someone gets hurt and I go nuts, except I can't change anymore. So... I don't know, maybe we have to help that, you know?" He didn't even know if that was right, or if that was something he could even help with. Why wait until now? He didn't know until now, and even so Takeshi was pretty sure he still didn't know. After getting attacked a second time though he felt he had to try and help, as next time it might not be just him who was attacked. "Okay, so maybe we gotta work on you being angry and changing. And... We gotta find a way to make you okay around fighting. If we can do those things, then maybe... Maybe you'll feel better."

Vegeta had gotten a bit overzealous in how he was speaking to Viral, probably as a result of all the discussions with Aito as of late. He couldn't let the Beastman demean his own existence though, that was never going to help him recover or feel better in the long run. That line of thinking wasn't really naive, it was just the truth of the matter; Viral was an individual first and foremost, it didn't matter whether he was brought into the world for any particular purpose or not. Saying he was simply an object to be used would be removing the entire fact he was his own person, and that could never be allowed. "The only thing that money gets me is more opportunity to create and work, that's it. Aside from that opportunity I have absolutely no use for money," Vegeta answered simply, giving Viral a slightly rueful smirk. "Money would make life easier for most, but I doubt that's all people desire. If you believe human nature is so simple then we'll perhaps have to revisit it sometime."

Now perhaps they could begin helping this cleanup effort, as goodness knows it was needed. Most of the city by now looked to have been tidied up, but this neighborhood still bore the scars of the fighting that had taken place. Much of the rubble was larger chunks of concrete, likely something that couldn't be moved without machinery. Between himself and Viral though it ought to be an easy enough job. "We'll be quick. Let's see how this building does for you, and we can decide how to go from thereon out," Vegeta responded, pausing and giving his friend a curious look at the latter half. Something he shouldn't see? What did he mean? It was an unusual request, but he'd leave it at that and operate how he felt was best. Giving a simple nod in reply he went over to the crumbled building, beginning to lift up chunks of shattered building and toss it into the bed of the large vehicle. "If this isn't too mundane for you, we can just do this until the plot is completely cleaned. We may well finish before either of us tire," Vegeta said, "Which would be fine, but don't you think we can get this done much faster than they can?"

Shu let out a squeaky sigh, feeling like he was getting the wrong idea with what Takeshi was trying to tell him. He probably didn’t change in the same way he did, he wouldn’t be so frightened and confused otherwise. Sniffling a little, Shu scratched his cheek, still feeling fairly confused over his predicament. “But I never want to hurt anyone! I care…I do…” he squeaked, giving his head a little shake before sighing, “It’s not fair…I want to do lots of good things! I do, but I do bad things more! Too many bad things, hurt friends when change, be monster. Not sure what even am, not sure about anything…”

Shu was just feeling even more confused than when he first started, wondering what could possibly make him feel better at this rate. He was having so many problems that felt like they came from his past as well, all catching up with him as his morale continued to weaken. He wanted to be happy and brave, but he couldn’t forgive himself for what he was becoming and how much of a nuisance and danger he was to everyone else. He really didn’t know if Takeshi was being honest with how he used to change or whether he meant how he could change with the moon, seeing how he was being completely vague with his explanation. Staring at him, he let out a sigh and looked up to Takeshi, only asking for some sign of hope that he was understanding him. “But…it’s unfair. Everybody fine with getting angry, but I no fine. How do we fix me? How? Please say…”

Viral didn’t think too much of himself to find any reason for seeing himself for what he truly was, but of course with the way he had lived so far it was much easier to just see him as nothing more than an extra around the corporation. Vegeta did try to sell him to give him some use which was just enough to solidify his beliefs after so long. He didn’t care, he was over it and all that was left now was to try and pass the time until his genes were fixed. He couldn’t care for the fact that he had PTSD, his mental health shouldn’t be a concern for anyone; all he wanted to do was get back to fighting. “Humans are simple creatures! Throw money in their face and they’ll do anything. That’s just how they are, otherwise they wouldn’t have competitions all the time to bring in more money than they’ll be giving out! They’re easy to understand…”

Viral couldn’t be bothered thinking about humans, especially when he had a job to do. So long as he wasn’t going to find any crushed bodies he would hopefully be fine with what he had to do. Moving over to the rubble as well he stared at the chunks, sighing before looking to Vegeta. He seemed fine with tossing the chunks, not really putting much effort into it too by the looks of it. “Fine, okay…until it’s all gone. I can do that”. Moving to pick up a moderately sized chunk he grasped onto it and paused, feeling lightheaded for a moment before he could even try to lift it. Growling lowly, he sucked it up and simply tossed the chunk in with the rest of the debris being cleared, finding that he was going to have a difficult time with this after all. He hadn’t needed to use his strength in a while and it was oddly pretty difficult to do such a thing.

Hmph, of course Shu didn't want to hurt anyone... He was a Saiyan and all of his friends and family were warriors, but he didn't want to harm anyone. Jeez, so should they just completely remove him from fighting then? Of course if they did that then he'd probably feel bad he wasn't helping, so that wouldn't cut it either. Like he didn't have a clue how to help the little guy before, now he was really stumped. Scratching at his head uncertainly, Takeshi wondered if perhaps they should get someone else to come in and help out. "We get angry, but it doesn't mean our Ki gets out of control, that's the difference," he explained, trying to word it as best, and simply, as he could. "You noticed that too, right? Whenever you and I get angry we get stronger, it's just how we operate. If we need to fix it..." There was only really one answer, and it was not something that was easy to do. If they lost control due to their emotions running rampant then there seemed to be only one route to take; remove all emotions during battle and not risk losing control. "But that wouldn't really work..." Takeshi mumbled, frowning as he glanced over at Shu, "You have to learn somehow how to not let your emotions get the better of you in a fight, because that's what makes you change, you know? I... I can't teach that, even I don't know how to do it. When we get training though, we'll see if we can find someone to help, that should work..."

"Not all humans compete for money though, what you're making is a gross generalization. Yes some do compete for it, and a certain... Level of wealth is needed for comfort, but it's not most people's sole reason for striving. If you look at people closely you'll see they can have any number of motivators, wishes or desires, just as you might." Some were happy only when extraordinarily wealthy, others could have next to nothing and still be content, so there was no true way to put a value on happiness, or to claim that every human wanted money. Perhaps it was only due to his being born into it that Vegeta could even think this way, but having seen wealth in work many a time over he had little use for it. It could be a tool to help him in a project, but aside from that he couldn't care less. There was no need for fancy vehicles, expensive clothing, or indulging in over-priced goods, whatever he got he was fine with, it mattered little the quality.

That discussion aside, they had yet another job before them and should begin focusing on doing it. It was hardly a mentally taxing job, just lift up debris and throw it into the bed of the vehicle present. There was curiously no Uuonian here at the moment, likely it had been left here to prepare and they just hadn't gotten to it. That was excellent, it meant no possible threat to others for Viral, which in turn should ease some of his concerns. Nodding in agreement, Vegeta began clearing away the pieces one by one, tossing them aside idly despite their size and weight. It wasn't quite as easy as he made it look, yet it wasn't so bad that he had to strain either. Curiously enough however he did manage to catch a glimpse of Viral struggling somewhat, finally getting a general idea of his physical strength and how it had declined. No doubt due to loss of muscle mass and lack of training, something they could remedy easily enough. That would come at a later date however, for now they should be focusing on the simple, if tiring matter at hand. Vegeta couldn't help but smirk slightly at that, that this job might actually tire Viral out to the point of needing rest. It was slightly underhanded to purposely set him up like this, but if rest was what he needed then it was their best possible avenue of getting that.

Shu felt he was losing Takeshi’s understanding again, even if he was trying hard to keep it clear. He was really struggling to say how he truly felt, but that was always the case. He really wanted to have this problem of his sorted, but sometimes his anger was too hard to control in battle and definitely became overwhelming. While Takeshi just got stronger when he got angry, Shu instead became uncontrollable with his own increased strength. He was a danger to his friends and what was worse was if he got angry by accident he might transform and hurt his friends. It made him feel very stressed out and it felt like nobody was understanding that. “I-If it…if it can be fixed. I’m not sure how we fix it. Make me scared! How do make the better things?” It wasn’t only when he was mad that he changed, he had changed before when he was suddenly stricken with great fear. Sighing lightly, Shu looked to Takeshi when he made a suggestion before he slowly tried to sit up. “You get really mad in battle, though. Who can help me? Is it even worth it?”

Viral couldn’t be bothered arguing with Vegeta over humans and their desire for money, seeing how he had all the money he could possibly want with that company. Humans were simple creatures who had simple desires, mostly desires that had to do with getting as much as they wanted. He didn’t understand Humans very well, but at least he understood how simple minded they could be. He did watch the television sometimes when he was really bored and caught most of the outside world that way, fair denting his view on Humans. They always were fighting over money with the richest nations getting away with everything criminal. “Humans never had money when they were evolving…nor did it become part of their biology. It’s a corruption they’ve carried since the introduction of riches and their species is paying for it with how weak it has made them…”

Despite how bitter he was currently feeling, he was still aiming to try and complete the job at hand so that he could move onto the next task they needed to complete; however, this task was already proving to be a little tough for him. He knew he was stronger than this, but he was failing on a number of fronts that was diminishing his overall strength. Trying for another few was yielding the same results as the first, even as he went down in size with them it was just the sheer effort to try and lift something like debris that was sapping what little strength he had. Going for smaller chunks each time, he found he was straining with the same horrible feeling whenever he picked one up and threw it. It was a horrible feeling in his chest and arms, almost as if pressure was building up on them. He could barely stand it and with the needed removal of a moderately sized but still below average chunk of debris he went to lift it up, instead finding the strain to be too much for him before he let out an angry growl, releasing it and instead throwing his fists down at it which created a loud crunch of a large force slamming into solid concrete.

The look of unease and disappointment on Shu's face said it all; Takeshi still wasn't getting it. Despite trying his damnedest to understand what his little brother was getting at he just couldn't do it. For all the good this conversation was doing them, they might as well be speaking two completely different languages. It didn't come as terribly surprising however, if disappointing, as he often couldn't even reel his own anger in. How then was he supposed to tell someone else how to do it? "Anything can be fixed, it's just a matter of how much work it's going to take," Takeshi replied, smiling sadly as he looked at Shu. Noticing his sibling trying to sit up he helped him, placing a hand at his back and easing the little guy into the desired position. Certain Shu wasn't going to topple over or anything he folded his hands across his lap, looking down at them abashed as the younger boy called him out. "I know... And I wish I didn't either..." When questioned about whether it was worth it or not, Takeshi looked at his brother in surprise, moving closer and grabbing one of his shoulders gently. "Of course it's worth it! When I met you, you were always happy and carefree. It annoyed the hell out of me at first, but I grew to like it. Since you were taken away... No, since I got you stuck there..."

"I miss it, Shu... How things used to be. I'm sure Yumi misses it too, and everyone else would love to see you happy. So don't ever question if it's worth it, because it totally is. Used to be you were always happy and rarely were down, now it's the total opposite, you know? That's not the little brother I remember meeting, and I want him back." Maybe that was a selfish reason for wanting Shu to feel better, but he didn't much care. Obviously Takeshi wanted it too for Shu's own sake, and so that the others could stop worrying about him, but he definitely wanted to get his kid brother back. Moving up to the headboard of the bed, Takeshi eased an arm around Shu's shoulder, using his free hand to lightly prod the younger boy in the stomach with his finger. "Vegeta can help. And if Vegeta can't help, then Yumi, or Aito, or Vegeta's mom. If none of them can then we can try Sayomi, or someone we haven't even met yet. I'll find someone that can help you, I won't train and I won't goof off until I do. And when I'm not doing that I'm going to be right by your side, got me? Cuz that's what a good brother should do!"

Yumi had been about to come into the room before hearing Takeshi speaking, surprised he was taking so earnestly to helping. For a good while she and others doubted his sincerity, seeing as he had forgotten so many times, but that sounded genuine. Maybe now that he was getting a really good look at the aftermath he was appreciating how badly Shu needed it, at least she hoped that to be the case. Hesitating to grab the handle now, she gave a look back at June who seemed to pick up on her uncertainty, getting a smile and nod of the head for a go ahead. Smiling herself now, Yumi opened up the door and slowly entered, followed closely behind by June. "Hey, sorry to interrupt boys, but I've got someone who wanted to talk to you two." she explained, stepping to the side as she gestured to June. If she could do as she'd suggested then Shu might get to feeling better, gradually anyways. With Vegeta busy with Viral as of late and Aito doing... Well she wasn't sure honestly, the pool of people who could help out her youngest friend was shrinking.

"I think this is the first time we've really met face to face," June began, smiling kindly as she stood at the foot of the bed, "My name is June, though I'd guess you know that much by now. And if you would let me, I'd like to try and help with your situation." Maybe she didn't have genuine training like her husband, or the knowledge that Vegeta did, but she had first hand experience with what Shu was going through. Now she would be fine with stressful situations, but she had hardly always been the collected fighter she was now. There didn't seem to be any obvious signs of refusal from either boy, and Yumi graciously stepped out of the room to give everyone some privacy, shutting the door behind herself. Walking over to Shu's side of the bed then she pulled a chair over and sat down, smiling still as she glanced into the child's eyes. How sad, there was an unmistakable terror in those eyes, eyes which probably once shone brightly with joy. "Shu, right? I know you don't know me very well, but I want to try and help you, if you'll allow me to."

Vegeta could very easily argue with Viral over the influence of currency. The truth of the matter was it was superficial, and only a small portion of the population obsessed over it. He could explain how currency gave way to fairer trading practices, albeit even still it was far from perfect. He could offer any number of explanations as to why his brother's view was incorrect, but he knew it'd be wasted breath. When your whole experience on a matter was skewed any which way, as Viral's was, then it made that very difficult to change. With some exposure he could see to the contrary, but simple words were not likely to change him. While he wasn't going to argue the points of currency, there was a small piece he wanted to offer the Beastman. "The rotten few stand out while the good many keep to themselves. Don't let a few bad examples ruin the entire group, that's not the best way to think about anything," he said patiently, giving a small shake of his head, "All I'm saying is try to see both sides of it. Where there's bad there is also good, and more often than not the latter outweighs the former, there's just no need to recognize it quite as much." That was why something like the news for example was such rubbish, it only covered lousy stories because they sold, and people paid more attention to obscurities or breaks from the mold, as opposed to an everyday, decent being.

They could save the philosophical debates for another time, Vegeta wanted to get to work and try wearing Viral down some more. Just going by the first block he picked up alone the signs were hopeful, yet they'd see just how the Beastman felt at the end of the task. Throwing aside the chunks were simple for him, yet for Viral it was proving to be anything but. He'd not have made any comment on the matter had there not been a sudden fit from his brother, glancing over to see him smashing a piece of rubble into smaller chunks. Sighing to himself Vegeta gave his head a rub, walking over before holding up a hand to Viral, glancing down at the rubble. "Before you snap, let me make a suggestion." Taking care of the few pieces of rubble at his feet, he moved to the pile and grabbed two chunks, one at a time and placed them before the Beastman. "How's about we do it this way: I'll grab pieces and bring them to you, then you break them into more manageable slabs and we can both toss them. I figure this way it's easier to handle them, and you can work on building up some strength by striking the blocks." Accepting this proposal would mean accepting the fact this work was too hard for him, yet he hoped that Viral could overlook that small fact if only out of being too stubborn to quit.

Shu thought it was maybe something they should just forget about again, seeing how that worked last time to keep him and the others happy. They were always less concerned with his problems when he was happy, so maybe he should try being happy instead of worrying over all of these things. It didn’t make sense for him to bring everybody else down with his terrible mood. They were all concerned with making him happy so they could be happy in return, so maybe that’s what he should be instead of staying in this rather miserable state of his. Staring at Takeshi he soon decided to try and sit up, struggling at first before Takeshi helped him get up. Despite still feeling weak, he managed to sit up correctly without further assistance from Takeshi, staring at him as he spoke before lowering his head, sighing lightly.

He was starting to feel fairly guilty now, knowing that everyone was feeling unhappy because he was unhappy. He didn’t understand how that was possible, but it must’ve been fairly important to everyone for him to be happy and yet he was finding it so hard to do. He wanted to be happy again, but he was too worried about becoming a monster and what danger he presented to the group. “I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…cause problems…” he muttered, rubbing his arm, “I don’t want to feel this way”. Lowering his head, he only looked up when Takeshi moved in to give him a side-hug, squeaking when his belly was pressed before trying to weakly grab his finger. Looking up to Takeshi he stared at him as he listed off all the names, frowning at first before trying to move closer. “Ooohh…I don’t want to make you not train or have fun! So many people to ask, but…w-what if-“

Before he could finish his question, Yumi followed in with Vegeta’s mother right behind her, staring at her for a moment before looking to Yumi as she spoke. He wasn’t fully understanding at first but as she pointed to June he soon figured it out and raised his shoulders. He didn’t know if he was in trouble for being a little sad and confused now, even if she was one of the people Takeshi mentioned and that everything appeared okay. Quickly looking to Yumi as she left he was left staring up at June, wondering what was going on as she decided to take a seat. He didn’t really know how to act around her since he didn’t get to talk to her at all, instead staring at her as if wondering what he did wrong as she spoke. “Help me…? How maybe help me? Shu really scared…”

Viral was really annoyed, finding his lack of strength and his weak muscles rather infuriating. Even when he tried to use his strength it just made his body feel worse and realise how weak it really was. He didn’t want to feel like this, he hated feeling weak and sickly. When one particular chunk proved to be too much for him he immediately became angered, shattering the chunk in a sudden fit of rage. Just about to go at it again he was interrupted by Vegeta, glaring at him angrily as if him interrupting was more annoying than the debris. Watching him with a fair annoyed glare he stared at the chunks, narrowing his gaze before looking back to Vegeta. “Just smash them? How very kind of you to ease my frustrations…” he spoke lowly, not particularly looking or sounding happy as he picked up some of the chunks, “But fine! Fine…if you want to do it that way! I’ll do that. I just hate being this weak…like my heart is ready to give up as well…”

Hn, just as Takeshi wasn't understanding Shu it seemed like Shu wasn't understand him either. He wasn't at all trying to blame his brother for anything they were talking about, just state how much they wanted to return things to how they were. It wasn't his fault their father had been awful to him, or he'd seen things that most anyone would break over, no one could blame him for that; likewise no one could blame Shu for how he was now, all of that was out of their control. "I know you don't buddy, I know. And you should know that you aren't causing any problems," the older boy said, trying desperately to keep Shu from guilting himself. Hoping a little comfort might relieve some of the worries, Takeshi moved up alongside Shu and placed an arm around his shoulders, smiling faintly as he was snuggled up against and his finger was grabbed. A bit unusual, but if its what helped the little guy out then fine. Curious to hear what more Shu had to say it seemed like he would have to keep waiting, as Yumi and June surprisingly both came to the room just then; Yumi should be resting and they hadn't seen Vegeta's mother since... Well since they had gotten back, so what brought her around?

Though June scarcely knew these boys she had been told about the younger one's condition, and Yumi had implored her to try and help. She lacked the degrees of both her husband and son and never received formal training for that matter, yet she lived a life surrounding by the kind of strife that now plagued Shu, so maybe she could lend a hand. Behind her or not she had experience that the others lacked, and it had been both of the women's mutual hope that said experience could provide the answer they so desperately needed. After being given permission to try, June grabbed a chair and set it at the bedside, taking a seat and addressing Shu in as gentle a manner as possible. "It's okay to be afraid, that's normal after something like that happens. It's okay to be anxious too, or to doubt yourself. None of that means you're abnormal, it's all a natural response to trauma," she explained, trying to do her best to speak like she was an authority on the topic when she was anything but. Finding it difficult to put what she wanted into technical terms, however, she decided to throw that out the window pretty quickly and speak more casually. "It would take a little while, but if you're willing to talk to me, maybe we can figure something out. There was a younger soldier who had a lot of trouble years and years ago, and she was like you are now. But, she had people help her, and they did all sorts of things; talked about the problem, learned to manage the fear, and trying to keep a schedule. They sound simple, but I bet if we tried what she did, then you might feel a little better."

"Well it's either this or we abandon the job altogether, and I figured this was the lesser of the two evils," Vegeta responded, shrugging casually as he set down a stone for Viral to shatter. Watching as he did so he nodded in approval, helping to throw away some of the scraps left behind. "If we do something like this repeatedly then you'll build up strength though. A lot of your weakness can be attributed to atrophy, or the lack of your using your muscles. If we start doing labor like this, and you're able to rest and regenerate lost cells, your strength could return substantially over a short period of time." While it didn't address the symptoms of the PTSD, some honest, taxing physical labor ought to help Viral at least become more physically fit. In theory as well if he became more capable physically then his mood may improve as well, and an improved mood would in turn lend itself to an easier time of therapy. One thing at a time, and beginning here was hopefully the first step in the process. Dropping two more slabs down for the Beastman, Vegeta wiped his forehead with the back of his forearm before giving Viral a serious glance. "If you feel any pain, no matter how minute, stop and tell me. We're here to get you to work, but not to hurt you. There's nothing to gain from you overdoing it and straining yourself to the point of injury, so please, be reasonable." Not that he truly felt he needed to tell Viral this, but given his friend's tenacity and stubbornness it may be safer to do so regardless.

Shu didn’t know if he was being too vague with his worries, but he was trying to be clear at least. He was sure his problem was one that couldn’t be fixed and he was just being silly by complaining about it. He didn’t want to make everyone unhappy or for anything like this to happen, he just wanted everyone to not worry over him and be happy even if he wasn’t. They deserved to be happy just as much as he did, he didn’t want to be an influence on them. “But…I feel like I am…” Finding it a little hard to see beyond the sadness and confusion he looked to June who began to speak to him, raising his shoulders before his vision was taken downwards. He wasn’t sure about how much she had been told of him but her talking to him like this almost felt like he was being told off, even if she didn’t mean for it to be. Squeaking a little he looked away, rubbing his arm in a guilty fashion. “She did…? Ooh, oh no. I’ve been bad then! I-I barely did any of that!” he gasped, shifting uncomfortably on his bed, “Did…did she also have problems with change? How do those things? How to make the things go away? So much I don’t understand. It scares me…”

Viral wasn’t entirely happy with having to admit he could only do this job, but if this was all he was going to manage without feeling like he was going to have a heart attack then he was going to have to put up with it. Growling in annoyance, he looked to the boulder and threw down his fist, shattering it. This was eventually going to hurt, there was no way he could keep doing this for as long as the day was. “I used my muscles plenty lately. Remember when I destroyed that creature? I was in the zone until I couldn’t see straight…” Finding it all too aggravating just how his condition was getting worse he felt it was going to have to be this until he was strong again, but then again he had no idea what he was supposed to do once he was better. He felt all too awkward being around Aito, then there was June. He couldn’t remember the times he was with them and with what Aito told him he felt very uncomfortable. Family values wasn’t something he was familiar with when he was the younger one, but then again he didn’t really know what age he was and what age Aito and June were when he killed them. Destroying the chunks whenever Vegeta passed them to him he rubbed his fist, staring down for a moment before realising Vegeta was talking to him. “I can withstand it. I would rather see blood and know I can heal properly than only bruises that will linger. I’ll be fine, anyway. Not like I’ll keep going to the point I break something, I’m not an idiot…”

June was trying to use her own story as an example for Shu, to show that someone could recover from his position. Was it hard? Undeniably so, yet she had managed to do it. She also had a fraction of the support this young boy did, and he also had access to people who actually knew the symptoms and how to help them. As she'd expected Shu somehow placed guilt on himself, either over what had just recently happened or something else in the past. "You have not been bad, you've been anything but bad. What you're feeling doesn't make you bad, expressing yourself doesn't make you bad, and trying to get help doesn't make you bad. You're in a bad place right now and it's making a lot of things hard, but you're doing okay on your own." It was just about time he got some help was all, that much was clear as day. "Change...? Er... No, she didn't change," June replied thoughtfully, not extremely positive what Shu meant precisely by 'change' "It's okay to be afraid, that's normal. And she made them go away by trying to stay busy. She did things that made her happy, kept people around her and she learned ways to handle the fear she felt."

Whoever this woman was sounded like the ideal fit for Shu. There was no one better at helping you when they had been through the same thing, and from the way Vegeta's mom spoke of this lady she had done pretty well for herself. There was, however, one slight problem to all of this... "Okay, so where is this woman? When do we get to meet her?" he asked, frowning as he leaned forward a bit out of curiosity. Outside one could vaguely hear the sound of a hand hitting skin and Yumi groaning, though it escaped Takeshi's attention.

"Uh... E-Excuse me?" June asked, blinking a fair bit baffled as she gave Takeshi an amazed look. Did that really go over his head? She could understand Shu given his current mindset, but the older one seemed fine, how hadn't he put two and two together? Chuckling faintly under her breath she cleared her throat behind a fist, sitting up straight and smiling as she placed a hand on her chest. "I'm that woman, I probably should have said that from the beginning. Sorry for confusing you." Ah, there were the gears clicking, and a brilliant blush that came when one realized they'd been a bit of a dolt. Leaving Takeshi to that, June turned her eyes back onto Shu, reaching out and lightly placing a hand on top of his own. "There is a way to feel better. It's not hard to do, but it's going to take time. Do you trust me to help you? If you do then I'll gladly do it, but you have to put your faith in me."

"Yes, you did use your muscles then, so all the more reason they're exhausted now. To go from almost completely sedentary to exerting yourself to that degree, and then exclude rest and nutrition? It's a small wonder you were even able to walk out here under your own power, let alone do this. Consider the fact you're working right now a testament to your true strength and will." Sure, maybe Viral was not the most physically imposing at current, but he had the kind of mettle that few possessed. He could grumble and moan all he wanted, yet at the end of the day even some of the strongest warriors paled in comparison to his fortitude. Tossing aside another small pile of clutter, Vegeta dragged down a few more chunks and began setting aside scraps of metal that they'd likely be using for something else. "I never said you were an idiot, I'm only asking you exercise caution," he replied with a sigh, "Given the lack of exertion as of late it would be very easy to overdo it, that's all. You'll feel it at any rate I'm sure, so it's not as though I have to point it out." Now that they potentially had something that could help, Vegeta was very keen on not letting anything go awry.

Shu didn’t know what point she was trying to make but he certainly wasn’t going to dismiss it just because of his lack of understanding. He wanted to understand what she was trying to tell him and whether it was going to be good for him to learn, seeing how his problems were pretty severe. He didn’t want everyone to be worrying over him like this and having to dedicate their time to him getting better sounded like too much to ask. Feeling confused over who she was talking about he could only ask if whoever this person was changed like he did, but turned out they didn’t either. He wanted to believe he hadn’t done bad, but given the circumstances it was not easy when he had indeed tore Takeshi’s shoulder open because he never learned how to control himself. “I do things that make me happy, but many things not be happy at night”.

Thinking over it all he sighed lightly, looking to Takeshi when he questioned the presence of the woman June was talking about. Looking around calmly he tilted his head, looking back to June when she decided to reveal who it was she was speaking about. He didn’t understand that immediately, but then again he didn’t understand that method of speaking and always assumed that when someone spoke about another in the third person like that it was always someone else. Lowering his head he frowned a little, squeaking when June placed a hand on his before he looked up at her. Staring at her he tilted his head a little before slowly nodding, his eyes being drawn down again. “I-I do. I would like that, umm, Miss Lady”, he spoke quietly, “I don’t want to feel like this anymore. I don’t want to feel tired and scared, don’t want to hurt friends! Don’t want a lot of things…”

Viral stared at Vegeta before growling lowly, rubbing his fist. He didn’t see that as flattery, he was already aware that he had the will to carry on when he was sure he would’ve just been happy to die if he couldn’t bear to go through all this pain. The pain had been subdued somewhat due to the injector, but it made him feel weak and drained. He wasn’t sure when he might need it again, but he was always going to dread it because of how it made him feel and why he had to take it. All this talk about getting rest and nutrition really made him wonder if it was going to make him feel better in reality, considering he had been told he was sick since his release. Sure, he might not be closer to dying, but he was still damaged. Going back to destroying the chunks of building he stopped and looked to Vegeta, frowning before letting out a grunt. “I’m guessing if I get bored I’m not going to get out of doing this”, he spoke before rubbing his arm, “Truth is I’ve been trying hard all day. I’ve been exerting myself since we left. I know how important it is to you that I get tired, but if I had to run at all today I would just collapse. I hate complaining, anyway. I just thought you’d like to know”.

So things were bad particularly when Shu tried going to bed? That made a little sense, your mind tended to wander as you laid in bed waiting for sleep to take you. June had spent many nights herself either unable to sleep, or constantly waking due to bad dreams. She had eventually found a way to cope with it however, and now she could sleep completely unhindered. A good night's rest could help one's mood insurmountably as well, so maybe the first thing she should try lending a hand with was getting Shu to sleep again. Placing a hand on the young Saiyan's in a show of comfort she smiled gently, trying to make it absolutely clear she'd not do anything without his consent; pleasantly enough Shu was happy to go along with what she had in mind. "We'll work on those things then, and we'll help them one by one. It'll take a while, but things will be better," June replied, giving Shu's hand a gentle squeeze, "And please, you can call me June. Miss makes me sound so, old..." And she wasn't old, was she? Technically she was only in her twenties now, but if they counted the time in Otherworld then she'd be around 40 or so, if not older. A single, small bead of sweat trickled down on her forehead then, reflecting on just how old she was in reality; 40? Her? She didn't feel 40... "You won't be tired and scared, not forever. We can start working on things and you should begin feeling better soon enough. Just... It's a bit late for us to start today, but first thing tomorrow we can get working, does that sound okay with you?"

It was not wholly surprising that the compliment fell flat, they often did when speaking to Viral. Even in his healthier days he was never one for flattery, so Vegeta wasn't at all taken aback. "Bored? No, you won't. I'm sorry but we're not here to entertain ourselves, it's to test to see if we can get you to rest after a day's work," Vegeta replied, "And you can complain all you want. Tell me you're tired, tell me you're sore, tell me you're short of breath or your body feels like it's going to fail you. If you say nothing then I have nothing to base your condition off but my own judgement." In fairness he could probably discern, to a decent degree, just how Viral was faring. Nothing compared however to getting his own feelings directly from his mouth, yet obtaining that was never easy. "I do want you tired, but I don't want to work you to the point of collapsing." Long as that much was completely clear they should be fine, he hoped. Flying up to the top of the rubble pile, Vegeta eased a few chunks loose and let them simply roll down to the ground, setting back down and arranging them methodically for Viral to shatter. Unlike the wall building exercise he wasn't nearly as concerned with being orderly, as how could one be during destruction?

Shu did wonder if she could help him, especially when she barely knew him. She probably only found out his name from Yumi not too long ago out of curiosity after what happened, or maybe she wasn’t told about that since she didn’t seem to have a clue to what he meant by change. He was worried she wasn’t really wanting to do this and was just doing it because she was friends with Yumi, but he certainly hoped that wasn’t the case and that she really was just wanting to do this out of the goodness of her heart. He was suffering terribly from this problem of his and while food wasn’t a problem like Viral, he sometimes felt like not eating because he was so tired or had been spooked pretty bad after waking up. Going along with what she wanted to do and accepting her help, Shu nodded and stared at her hand as she squeezed his, giving a little smile. “Ooh, I call many people Miss. I was taught it was good to call ladies ‘Miss’ when I learn how to speak”. He said it to Yumi instead of calling her Friend because he was taught it was polite, then there was calling Vegeta and Viral ‘Mister’ because that was polite too when they were older than him as well. “I-I would like that. Tomorrow? It sounds okay. I hope I start feeling better, it been hard to sleep and I like sleep. Takeshi get angry at me waking him up all the time…”

Viral didn’t much care for what compliments he might receive while he was feeling like he was. He knew they weren’t true and was quite sure he was getting much worse overtime. Being fed compliments was like being told you were going to be okay when you were obviously dying, at least in his eyes. “Are you sure about that? Boredom means I get weak and stiff with this condition. Weak and stiff means I feel suicidal eventually. But that won’t be the first thought that comes into your head if I said ‘I’m bored’, would it now”. He was managing alright with this but he was sure his fist was going to eventually collapse with how much force he was putting into his hits. It was hard to judge what might end up being too much for him when he was already in pain. “Fine, I’ll say before I’m at that point…” He just wanted to be able to finally rest without being plagued by horrible visions, but he wasn’t going to get that unless he was exhausted. Everybody probably thought he was being stubborn by refusing sleep and food, but it wasn’t his fault both activities made him feel horrible inside and panicked. Once the rubble came down at him he moved and smashed each one, but the last one took two hits. He was losing strength pretty fast and that last one had him struggling, his last throw leaving his arm feeling weak. Growling lowly he slowly rubbed his fists, wanting to keep going but was already starting to weaken. He didn’t know if it was tiredness or if his body was struggling to dish out the strength. “…I’m not sure if I’m feeling right doing this anymore.”

Uuonoe, 2 days after battle with Yamate

The forests of Uuonoe were full of intrigue and beauty, so Aito thought. He'd never quite seen plants in such a wide array of colors, nor had he ever seen them grow quite so large. They were still in the volcanic crater of the Capitol City and yet they were coming across trees several dozens of meters tall, and several meters in circumference. Those rose high up above all the vegetation along the forest floor, an array of flowers, smaller plants, bushes and vines dotted the area. Combined with the blueish-green grass that carpeted the forest floor and it was almost like something out of a fantasy novel. No doubt the doctor was appreciating it more than Viral was, but then they weren't here to bask in the majesty anyways; Viral and Vegeta had done a fair lot of work yesterday, and while the Beastman hadn't slept he ought to be getting close. Being out in the tranquility of the forest should be enough to ease him over the edge... At least that was the hope.

The pair had stopped in a clearing just fifteen minutes outside of town, having opted for a spot which provided both moderate privacy and plenty of access to the bright, powerful suns above. "This should do just fine I think, we can stop here for now," Aito concluded, nodding to himself certainly. Slipping a pack off of his back he set it to rest at his feet, sitting down cross-legged before opening up the case, taking out a thermos and a pair of glasses. "I figured this is an ideal spot for you to rest, don't you agree? Far away from the stresses of life, in nature and basking in the glow of Uuonoe's twin suns. I can't think of a better spot for this." Pouring out two glasses of tea he placed one on the ground by Viral, gesturing for him to sit before taking a sip of his own. Truthfully they could both use a bit of time away from it all, which was a touch odd coming from a man who'd only just come back to life. Having been thrust into this war however, and finding himself with a pair of patients in desperate need of help, he was already quite busy. An afternoon of leisure wouldn't be such a horrid idea then. "How did work go yesterday? Still feeling the burn?"

On the list of things to help Shu, forming some kind of schedule would come first. Predictability and certainty in one's day could lead to comfort, knowing what was to be expected day in and day out. By speaking with Takeshi, and Yumi who was a bit more of a help honestly, she had managed to put together a moderate to-do list for the young Saiyan. Training, play time, meals, even walks through the city, everything was planned out loosely to try and give Shu some sort of structure. June could only hope it wasn't too rigid for the young boy, as he was someone who didn't seem terribly familiar with much of everyday life. Maybe some lessons on the basics would be a decent idea too, she could help with that herself. For the time being she had taken them from their breakfast to a nearby park, hoping to give the boys a chance to simply play together and enjoy themselves. She'd not tell them precisely what to do, only give them a time period in which they could do as they pleased. Shu was probably more inclined to play than his brother, as it seemed Takeshi was a bit stiff being out here. Giving the older boy a curious look she folded her arms expectantly, watching as he averted his gaze and his cheeks flushed. "What in the world is so embarrassing? We're not doing anything incriminating."

"I know, it's just..." Takeshi began, frowning as he glanced around the park. There were other people here, like... A lot of other people. Sure, they were basically all parents and their children, but he didn't want even that around. He probably looked like an idiot running around acting like a child, and having others around meant they needed to be really mindful of how they played. To top that off it made him think of his own parent, and doing so put him in a fairly lousy mood. They were here for Shu to feel better though, not for him to ruminate over past experiences. To that end he tried to shake off the discomfort he felt, rubbing his head before looking at Shu with a smile. "Alright, I guess play time? But what do we do..." he mumbled, giving the park another glance around curiously. Spotting a red object being thrown his way he turned quickly and caught it, turning it over to find it was a small rubber ball. Huh, so June was giving them this to play with? They had never really played catch or anything before, but what the heck? Tossing it up once or twice he smirked at Shu, giving him an easy underhanded pass that floated a bit in his direction. "Here, we can toss this back and forth for a while."

How strange that a Frost Demon emerge after all this time. Stranger still that he just happen to run into the Princes, it was either a pure coincidence or foreshadowing of what might come. Perhaps he was looking too much into Kiton's unexpected appearance, but Korian wasn't going to take anything lightly at this point. Every little event could lead to something far larger than itself, it was best he nip the bud at the source and cover their bases before things could escalate. Having learned of the boy's existence only late yesterday he'd made haste back to Uuonoe to see him, wanting to get a first hand impression of Kiton for himself. Sayomi had come along as well, as had the fleet for that matter; with Kortal currently forced to recuperate after the battles it was hardly in a state to launch attacks, and their own forces had been damaged enough to warrant their own retreat as well. Infuriating, in a way, as they had been right there only to have to turn back. So now here he was, having passed up the chance to end the war to come and question an alien who, by all accounts, shouldn't even be here.

"So let me see if I understand this correctly. Fleeing from a station and the galactic police, those things somehow ended up on your ship. After attempting to fend them off you crashed on Namek, risking the entire planet in order to try and get away from them. You fought oh so valiantly to kill them and yet nearly died, and you might well have were it not for the intervention of the Princes and their friends. Rather than turning you into the authorities, as they likely should have, they decided to make you a part of their entourage." Even reciting it now it sounded absurd, Korian couldn't understand why they would harbor a criminal. Nevermind the fact alone there was no way of knowing if Kiton was trustworthy, they were interfering with the Galactic Police and would no doubt have issues with them down the road. Being on Uuonoe now he had the jurisdiction to do something with Kiton, yet he knew full well if he did he'd further alienate the Princes' group, and that was the last thing he wanted. Sighing heavily to himself he leaned up against the wall, folding his arms as he looked down at Kiton with a stern expression. "You're in their group now, there's no changing that. But tell me one good reason why I shouldn't notify the authorities of your location."

Viral had been trying his hardest to feel tired and even after halting work he had been trying to do something to keep his mind busy, but he just wasn’t finding his peace. Everything was just too difficult and relaxing was harder than he thought. So much for all that work when all it had managed to do was make him feel pretty sickly. He didn’t know why this was happening to him, but he had been passed onto Aito now with Vegeta going to see to T’charrl in the hospital for whatever. The bug was the only one that had to remain in hospital for a little longer than everyone else. For him, being out in the wilder side of the city was what Aito thought was best.

Trudging on after Aito he sighed once they finally stopped, he looked up for just a moment before looking to Aito, grumbling as he sat down. It wasn’t anything to complain about, it was just some area outside where he assumed they had controlled the animal population so they didn’t have to fight any unwanted wildlife. Glancing to Aito as he spoke he grunted, staring at the tea before sighing. “There could be some improvements, like maybe a beach…” he spoke, picking up the tea by the rim, “It’s fine for what it is, I guess”. Viral didn’t know why it was Aito who decided to take him out like this, especially after all of the work that he had been instructed to do. He thought it was a bit of a sharp change, he didn’t understand why he decided to go through this route either. Staring into the tea he looked to Aito, frowning a little before shrugging. “I feel tired but still can’t sleep. My muscles are in pain but not allowing me to rest them. So yes…I’m feeling the ‘burn’, but it’s more of a searing pain that doesn’t want to leave me”.

Shu was feeling better after the whole hospital trip he had to withstand, so now it was time to get going with his treatment. He didn’t know what he was in for or what the plans were for today, but he was willing to go along with it if it meant he was going to get rid of the nightmares and flashbacks. So far it seemed pretty nice and exciting, the park was somewhere he had never been. The bad feelings he had been carrying were disappearing, at least while he was picking up the happy vibes of the park. Smiling happily he bounced a little, staring at Takeshi expectantly as he only seemed to be somewhat reluctant to go with the idea. Tilting his head he sat back on his tail, staring at him happily as he pressed his feet together.

He didn’t know why Takeshi wasn’t wanting to go ahead with this or whether he was supposed to try and encourage him, seeing how it was to help him feel better and not so he could convince Takeshi to play with him. Squeaking happily when Takeshi decided to go with it, springing off his tail and smiling happily at Takeshi. He really wanted this to work, he couldn’t stand feeling bad anymore. Waiting in anticipation he stared at Takeshi, squeaking when he received a curious object of a curious colour. Staring at it in Takeshi’s hands, he tilted his head before watching as it was thrown up a few times, following it with his eyes before gasping as he was made to catch it. Sniffing it curiously, he looked up to Takeshi as he called out for it, looking down at it quickly before copying what Takeshi did by throwing it back at him. “Ooh! Toy! Catch it! That how we do, yes?”

Kiton hadn’t expected to be taken away like this, he was almost hoping he would be excused by the rebels since he had been generally passive throughout the time he had been here. He wanted to blend in, but unfortunately it seemed he was going to be able to do anything but that as they were very quick to take him in without having time to explain himself. It must’ve been because of who he was over anything, then probably the story of how he came to be at the rebel base. Someone must’ve informed these guys while they were out on their little war, reason for the almost immediately capture and interrogation. He was trying to keep away from this, but with everyone else so busy and not watching over him there was no way he was going to be able to defend himself. He wasn’t going to be aggressive towards them, that would make him seem even worse, so instead he went along with it and told them what he knew.

Staring at the man who decided to go on a little slightly degrading tone he narrowed his eyes and sighed, glancing over to the woman who was standing not too far from him. These two were really strong, he could sense that, so getting all defensive probably wasn’t going to be a good idea. Frowning as he watched Korian closely, Kiton turned away for a moment before looking back at the threat, narrowing his gaze. “Because I’m in their group?” he asked, looking away for a moment, wondering if they remembered him but not showing it, “I didn’t mean to land on that planet, it was just some accident I had no control over; I didn’t even know it was significant! So I was born into the wrong race and targeted, is that really such a terrible crime, Saiyan?”

"Yes, well unfortunately there's not much in the way of beaches here," Aito reflected with a small smile, pouring himself a cup of tea, "We could have gone to the lake, but from my understanding it's a busy recreation spot this time of year, and we'd hardly have any privacy. Seems like the forest is a better option then." The forest couldn't be beaten in regards to privacy, and given Viral's chance of restlessness in a crowd it was best they not risk being surrounded by loud, easy-going Uuonians. "So you're feeling physical fatigue, but not the kind that puts you to sleep..." the doctor mused as he took a sip of tea. Placing the cup on the ground before him he looked Viral over briefly, giving a small nod before smiling and motioning for him to again sit down. "Well standing there isn't going to relieve any of that pain now is it? Try the tea, it's made with a root not too different from linden back on Earth. From what I'm told it's meant to help relieve muscle soreness and even help relieve stress, which are both things we should be working towards. And what simpler way to do so than enjoy a refreshing drink in the sun?" Smiling he raised his glass in a small toast, taking another sip before casually glancing skyward. Sipping tea and taking a day off on an alien world, not what he figured he'd be doing upon coming back, but he couldn't say he was exactly hating it.

Tossing a ball around may not have been the first thing that came to Takeshi's mind, though it wasn't a bad idea by any stretch. Nothing was more simple yet entertaining than throwing a ball back and forth... So he'd seen. He had never actually had a chance to play before, on account of the whole being alone deal. The act of tossing a ball was a simple one, enough so that even Shu was able to replicate it after the first show. Grinning as he easily snatched the ball out of the air he looked at Shu amused, giving a nod of his head as the ball bounced in his palm. "Exactly, easy right? Once you learn how to do it really well maybe we can do other stuff with it." He had seen sports figures throwing a ball around in all sorts of flashy style, it was really cool to watch and he'd love to be able to replicate it. Not wanting to do too much just now however he simply lobbed the ball back to Shu again, smiling slightly as he glanced over at June. "Uh, you gonna play too? We could play three way catch if you wanted."

"Oh no, I'm quite alright here. Go ahead and play boys, I'll watch," June answered, smiling as she waved a hand dismissively. Stepping back a little to allow the boys some room she folded her arms casually, content to watch them play out as they wished. More importantly however she was to monitor how Shu was getting, per instruction of Aito. If anything came up that might trigger a response in him, or he began to show signs of stress, she was supposed to help him out... Somehow. She still wasn't abundantly clear on how to help stress even with Aito's direction, and her own experience with it wasn't bound to work for everyone. She'd try, there was just no guarantee it would work was all.

Korian wasn't thrilled at having a criminal on Uuonoe, certainly not one wanted by the Galactic Police. There had been a few instances where he'd been forced into dealing with those individuals before, and they conducted their work in very, very questionable manners. To say their ethic and morals were straight as a lightning bolt wasn't an exaggeration, he rather had a fair bit of disdain for those folks. Now that he was going to no doubt have to contend with them due to Kiton was a hugely unpleasant thing, and never mind the other things he was guilty of; committing crimes prior to even meeting the Princes, endangering Namek, these were just what he knew of. "Don't make me out to sound racist, I'm not singling you out due to your race. Anyone who causes danger to a neutral world, intentionally or otherwise, is guilty of some serious crimes. The only reason you've not been imprisoned so far is due to your association with the Princes, let me make that abundantly clear. This could be quite infuriating, having to try and remain in the good graces of those boys while attempting to uphold his own ethics as well. And to think that Kiton wasn't the only unexpected guest to be here on the rebel base planet.

"For the time being you're to remain in this building, at least until someone comes to fetch you. I will not allow someone who I've no knowledge of to roam about this city freely. Until I've ascertained that you're of no threat to these people I'll not let you anywhere near them." They had already had to recover after one attack, so risking another on the Uuonians was wholly unfair. This was amounting to little, he couldn't really convict Kiton for anything and he couldn't let him go anywhere, it was the equivalent of a house arrest then. Letting out a frustrated sigh he pushed off the wall, rubbing at his head as he walked towards the door. "A soldier will be by shortly to show you to your temporary quarters. You've free roam of the facility while here, but you're not to go anywhere unguarded, understood?" Korian said sternly, glancing back with a frown, "Sayomi, we're going to see Krom." Pushing open the door and ignoring the rebels who saluted on the way out, the Saiyan stormed down the hallway to another holding room, waving aside the guards at the door and opening it wordlessly, giving a look of pure loathing to the man seated inside the room.

Viral didn’t know what he was going to do with himself with all these paints and tiredness, feeling like it was beginning to become overbearing. He wanted to get rid of it, he wanted to eat food again without feeling panicked and terribly stressed, but everything he was trying wasn’t helping him in the slightest. He was struggling to combat this terrible affliction while only hoping he might end up recovering from this gene breakdown. It was horrible to experience and while everyone else was going on about their merry ways he couldn’t help like he was being treated simply because they had enough of him complaining and being unable to do anything. Even if it wasn’t true he couldn’t shake off that feeling and was only being dragged down into a worse state because it constantly went through his head. Frowning when he was to sit down again he still tried to stubbornly refuse, knowing it was going to be painful if he tried to stand again. Finding it difficult to refuse he soon looked down, staring at the grass before slowly sitting down. It was just as painful as he thought it would be, but whatever made Aito happy. Staring at him for a moment he soon sighed and stared into his tea, quietly contemplating before speaking up again. “It must be so simple to be able to relax and enjoy yourself. Everything all the time feels like a massive challenge I cannot overcome. No matter how much I try, I can’t stop the inevitable”.

Shu didn’t fully understand why he was doing this but it seemed fairly simple to him at least. The worry he might feel over simple occurrences seemed pretty far right now as he played a simple game of toss with his brother. He wondered if Takeshi was uncomfortable being out with him like this, seeing how stiff he appeared to be. His body languages wasn’t easily missed so he did wonder why he didn’t appear to want to do this. Bouncing on his toes a little he bounced to catch the ball he looked over to June curiously, tilting his head when she didn’t want to play with them. Strange how she’d give them a game and not want to play too, but he did want to keep playing at least. Squeaking a little he tossed the ball lightly in his hands before throwing it back to Takeshi. “Play! Want play! Happy time, yes?”

Kiton felt he was being subjected to all of this just because he was a Frost Demon, knowing that if some other race was forced into a life of crime they’d have sympathy for and try to keep them out of it. To be named guilty for an accident made it even more obvious that he was not willing to grant him mercy because of what he was and how ‘dangerous’ he could be in the future to the likes of his Saiyans. Huffing lightly, he looked away for a moment before back when his fate was sealed by this man, forbidding him from going anywhere by himself. “Wha? That’s hardly-…what makes you believe I'm only a threat now?” He questioned him but didn’t count on an answer. Looked like he was stuck here and what was worse was he didn’t even know if he would be picked up by the group again. He had been pretty much forgotten about, it seemed, seeing how they never appeared to look for him when he was taken into rebel care. Giving Korian an angry glare he sighed, looking away. “Great. I love being watched”.

Krom had heard Korian finally returned and was calmly awaiting him, hearing he needed to make his presence known to someone else before him. He had little care to how he might react towards him and knew he would be met with some degree of hate, but it was nothing that he couldn’t handle. Hearing footsteps outside he looked up from his seat, staring at the door before he saw Korian and Sayomi not too far off either. Smirking at the look he was giving him he soon sighed, shaking his head. “Don’t give me that. You’re supposed to be the bigger man just now, remember?” he spoke up, raising his shoulders, “I’m not going to lash out and destroy this whole place, you can calm down. Weren’t you told why I’m here?”

"And we're working on that, even now. And the only inevitability here is that today will end at some point, everything else is up in the air still," Aito responded, smiling as Viral finally took a seat, "Nothing is set in stone, so please, do try to relax. We've absolutely nothing scheduled for today, your job for today is simply to take time off." Well that wasn't entirely true, they might have an appointment later in the evening, but that aside he wasn't particularly pushing for anything. There was also the matter of meeting the rebel leader at some point, perhaps try knocking some sense into the man. He'd not hold his breath, but the doctor was hopeful that he could avert further fighting if he could convince the rebels that this war was moot. It was likely equivalent to knocking one's head on a brick wall hoping to break it down, but he had to try. Swirling the dark liquid around in his tea glass, Aito stared down into it silently for a moment before smiling, his eyes shifting back up to Viral. "You did well yesterday, by the way. I don't know if anyone thanked you, but those who you and Vegeta helped could not stop singing your praises. They were very grateful for your help and for making those jobs go by so much faster."

"Don't wanna play? Huh... Alright," Takeshi mumbled, giving it a small shrug. Weird that the lady didn't want to join in, it had to be awfully boring just standing there watching. Snatching the ball out of the air when Shu gave it a toss he bounced it again in his hands, smirking as his little brother seemed to be pepping up some. "Yeah, it's happy time squirt, but you'd better be ready to play and play hard." And there was his natural competitiveness bleeding in again, trying to somehow give a simple game of catch a challenge. Tossing the ball back to Shu he stepped back a few meters, waving on his brother to keep it going. Neither of them were probably hugely accurate at distances, but he wanted to see just who could toss it farther. When it was thrown this time around he had to lean over slightly to snag it, but for the most part it was on point. "See if you can catch this, Shu!" Takeshi shouted, grinning as he leaned back and tossed the ball up high, sending it in an arch over to his brother.

"You're an unknown, that's all there is to it. If you didn't have a record with the Galactic Police then I'd be more lenient, but as it stands you're a criminal that I know next to nothing about. You've no reason to be angry or upset with me over this, it's your own behavior that's brought this upon you." He was done dealing with Kiton, there was still the recently defected Saiyan to speak with, and Korian had been itching to do so all day. The fact that Krom was here, and had allegedly come over to their side willingly, something about that just didn't sit right. What exactly was he playing at? There would be someone coming in to handle the Frost Demon, and with that knowledge the rebel leader left with Sayomi in tow, heading to the room where Krom was being held. No efforts were made to hide the fact that there was real, plain disdain for the Saiyan upon entering, and the talk he was giving wasn't helping his stance any. "Of course I know why, and I still think it's complete and utter nonsense," Korian responded, moving to the other side of the table and yanking out the chair, sitting down and leaning across the top, arms folded, "You defected to give us information, that was the gist of what I was told. But why would Krom, the King's right-hand man, defect? And why would he do so during a battle where they were winning? Obviously I'm missing information here because frankly what I was told makes absolutely no sense. I don't suppose you're willing to enlighten me?"

It would be a moment until Kiton's escort arrived, and he may be pleasantly surprised by the assignment. After a brief exchange with the guards stationed outside the door opened up, and Sasha entered the room with no one else in tow. Knowing the bad blood between her brother and Kiton she had refused to let Ricken take the job, something which he'd agreed to readily enough without much pressure on her part. Not that she had jumped at the opportunity herself, but in good conscience she couldn't let someone so grossly biased and confrontational handle an escort job. "Looks like they're really trying to keep you under lock and key, huh?" Sasha observed, smiling slightly as she stood at the Frost Demon's side, placing a hand on her hip as she spoke, "You're lucky though, you've been given access to the compound and can even go out in the training grounds and yard, just not off the property. There are a lot of people who're brought here who spend most all their time locked in a room." Korian was being more safe than cruel here, as they still really didn't know Kiton's whole story. Even she and Ricken, who had been there upon meeting him, couldn't vouch for his innocence without any doubts. He'd be fed three times a day, his wounds had been treated and he'd have a decent room to stay in, all in all it wasn't that bad a thing. "Where do you want to go? I'm also here to answer any questions, if you have them. Which... I'd bet you've probably got a few by now."

Viral stared at Aito for a moment before sighing, staring back down at his tea. He certainly was trying to be as positive as possible and whether it worked or not was even beyond even him. He didn’t know if he was picking up on the positive vibes, but if he was he certainly wasn’t feeling it. Sighing lightly he gave the tea a calm sniff before gazing upwards, wondering why they were here just sitting around having tea. He didn’t have time to take off, he needed to get his problems fixed and his body working correctly. This was all just a big distraction and even if he was supposed to be tired and sleeping he couldn’t afford to sleep. Finding the conflict to be all too much for his mind he just ended up staying awake in the stress of it all, barely finding time to take the compliment from the people Aito was giving him. “I don’t know. Vegeta was doing all the work, I was just tagging along”, he spoke, staring into his tea, “I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be feeling from that either. I just did what I was told to do, it was really all Vegeta’s idea to get me involved”.

Shu didn’t understand why she didn’t want to play but was more than happy to get to it and play with his brother. It was going to be fun, he hoped, even if he wasn’t used to this sort of environment. Waiting for Takeshi to throw the ball again he bounced after the ball again, smiling happily as he caught it and took a moment to study it before tossing it back to Takeshi, curious as to why he was moving further away. Watching him curiously he soon began to bounce, getting ready for the next toss. He still didn’t really understand the game but he was having fun with the ball, even if Takeshi moving farther wasn’t making him feel very comfortable. “Ooh! I catch! I catch!” Watching Takeshi toss the ball he gasped and immediately made a sudden spring up, making a grabby motion to try and catch it. He almost lost it but did manage to catch it, nearly landing on his side but managed to stop himself with his hand and tail. Turning around quickly he looked to Takeshi, squeaking as he threw the ball back to him in a fairly normal manner. “Ball! Nearly got away! No have that happening, yes?”

Kiton was a little annoyed with Korian. The guy probably had all the information about him on that little computer that woman carried and yet still didn’t want to. Maybe he would see the crimes that are on his record are ones he would’ve been forced into those crimes to live. It’s not like he destroyed civilisations or anything, just stuff that anyone with his power and bad situation would do. Sighing lightly as he was left alone he lowered his head, giving it a slow shake before gasping as someone entered. It was Sasha, that girl from the group. Well, at least he thought she was in the group judging by the last time he saw her. Staring at her as she approached him he slowly stood up, frowning slightly before he looked to the door. He had already been here for a while waiting for Korian to go see him after being dragged off, so being locked up would just be the next step. While he was alright with having a little bit of freedom he was still in their custody and not allowed to have a taste of normal life quite yet. “I do have a few, but I don’t know if I’m going to get them answered”, he sighed, looking to the door, “What’s with that guy? He barely gave me a chance and just came and left. What do I do now? I don’t know this place, I was in being watched by that other guys for the longest time because they didn’t want to give me too much medical attention in case I-…well, whatever. Do you have computers here?”

Krom wasn’t intimidated by Korian in the least. He knew the man wasn’t like that but he also knew it was probably best not to intimidate him too much or he might lose his job. He had heard what he did to Viral and what happened after, but it wasn’t as if he was an artificial creature and something Korian despised. Even if he was with Yamate, it couldn’t be enough to threaten his life in such a violent fashion. Watching Korian take a seat he stared at him, waiting for the man to settle as he sat up straight himself. The man certainly sounded like he was concealing some sort of inner rage, but that was his problem considering he was completely calm himself. Even if he disliked the man for what he did he was going to be the better man in this confrontation. “That’s the problem: we were winning too easily. You know what’s going on out there, right? How bad the situation is becoming?” he questioned him, shaking his head, “None of them are even the least prepared for what’s happening! The King doesn’t want them to die and even if he didn’t want to be involved in this conflict, it’s going to happen. None of us can escape it. All this squabbling between ourselves is getting out of hand; shouldn’t we be fighting the common enemy rather than making pointless conflicts? Those kids need trained…”

"There's nothing you were supposed to feel really. It was meant to try and wear you down physically, that's all. Whatever you think of the activity or take away from it are all yours and yours alone, it's not for us to decide." Viral could hate yesterday with every fiber of his being and that would be fine, it would just mean that busywork wasn't the approach they needed. At current Aito had some trouble telling exactly how his son felt, whether he was overly fatigued or just agitated from being made to do the work. "Today we can try a change of pace from all of that. Enjoy the tea, enjoy the serenity of the area around us. If you want to as well we can go to the lake, since you mentioned a beach. If you don't mind flying then we can reach it in... Oh, a few minutes?" There may be more exposure to the sun out at a beach, and the openness of the place may seem more appealing to Viral as well; the forest could understandably feel a bit cramped, and for a man who loathed the notion of being confined anywhere it was easy to see why he may not be completely enamored with where they were now.

Takeshi was fine with playing catch, but standing two meters apart and giving the ball a small lob was hardly exciting. Maybe he couldn't do anything super flashy, but he'd at least try making things a little more interesting. Backing off to put more space between himself and Shu, the older boy lobbed it up high in the air, expecting his brother to wait and try catching it on the way down. When Shu made a jump for it then and nearly tumbled to the ground he raced over to catch Shu, skidding to a stop when the little guy managed to come out fine. Letting out an exasperated sigh he hung his head in relief, lifting it again after he heard Shu squeak, reaching out and snagging the ball easily enough. "Right, good thing you caught it," Takeshi answered, smiling as he rolled the ball between his hands, "Just... Next time you do that, please use Ki to fly up? I'd rather you didn't just jump, that's dangerous." Particularly when they were both injured, they ought to be careful and not take risks like that. Giving the ball a curious look he let it drop, managing to catch it with his right foot and bounce it back up. Grinning eagerly he bounced the ball a few times between both feet, giving Shu a cheeky look before managing to kick it over his way, being mindful not to kick it too hard. "Heads up buddy!"

Kiton didn't know how much he'd lucked out by not getting Ricken as his escort; her brother had been complaining all day about the assignment, and obviously things wouldn't have been pleasant if it had happened. Kiton didn't need to know that though, seems like he had plenty on his plate as things were. "I'll answer anything I can, so long as it's not something on a need-to-know basis," Sasha responded, opening the door for the Frost Demon. She didn't mind him too terribly much, nor did she mind this assignment, but she'd try to remain all business during this. "Korian...? He's a nice man when you get to know him, but you have to understand his position. He's leading a fight against the Saiyans, and trying to protect thousands if not millions in the process. He has a lot on his plate, and because of that... Maybe he's quick to judge. I wouldn't worry too much though, that woman that was with him? She's good at keeping him in reality, you're going to be fine as long as you don't do anything bad." Kiton didn't seem the sort to go and make trouble for himself so he ought to be alright in that regard, hopefully. "You can do what you want... Well, within the compound I suppose," Sasha mumbled, itching at her cheek as she shut the door, following after the Frost Demon, "Computers...? Well yeah, of course there are computers here. One that you can use though, hm... Oh! There is a recreation room, I'm pretty sure there's a few there for people to use. We can head there if you need one."

It didn't matter wholly what Krom had to say, Korian was going to take it with a pinch of salt. Whatever claims were made, whatever reason were given, he was going to scrutinize every little detail until it could be said with absolute certainty that what was said was legitimate. The rebel leader had demanded an explanation and was ready for whatever contrived nonsense the soldier had for him; the explanation he got, however, was beyond what he'd even expected. "You mean the war? I am well aware how the war is going, and it's thanks to you and your party! What are you trying to get at with this?" Korian asked, frowning as he slammed a hand on the table. "And what do you mean the 'common enemy'?" What in the hell could he be referring to? There were only two sides to this war, his and Krom's. There was no common enemy to speak of, what a ridiculous thing to say. Sitting back in his seat in frustration the rebel leader frowned as a thought occurred to him, his brow furrowing as something crossed his mind. It wasn't just a two sided war though... Was it? At least not anymore, not since those things began showing up and attacking both sides. Did Krom know what they were? Or where they came from? He'd thought they were tools of Yamate's up until recently, and now he was even more uncertain of their real identity. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath to reel his anger back, the rebel leader folded his hands together and leaned forward, giving Krom a stern gaze. "You know what those creatures are? Speak, now. If you know what's going on then tell me everything."
