Viral let out a groan, looking down at his tea. “Well, I feel worn down, I just don’t feel tired yet…” he spoke before grumbling as he rubbed his face, “Or rather I feel tired, but I can’t find a way to rest myself. I’m stuck trying to get to sleep”. He really didn’t care for the work he did but he did hope he was going to be able to sleep once more after such a long day. He worked really hard and had nothing to show for it other than a sore body and a brain that won’t calm down. Everything was just buzzing and on his mind and he didn’t know how to make it better. Deciding to have a sip of his tea he looked to Aito who made an idea to have a possible location change, something Viral definitely didn’t like the sound of. “The beach? I don’t want to be surrounded by aliens again all having a good time”, he mumbled, looking around the forest, “It’s either this place or being around people and I don’t much enjoy being around people. I just need somewhere to relax and not worry about being seen or stared at. Besides, the whole flying part really makes it out to be worse than this”.

Shu was quite excitable now that he was getting to play around with his brother, feeling fairly energised now. He was enjoying this whole tossing game even if it was pretty simple and not too close contact. He did worry that he might lose the ball, but he also used that to give himself a goal and not end up disappointing his brother and June by losing it. Bouncing on his toes as Takeshi spoke he tilted his head before looking down at himself, not entirely confident with the whole flying to just get the ball thing. He had gotten flying down for long distance, but for such a short distance he was still feeling pretty rusty over. “Uhhh, o-okay! I can try…”

He hadn’t needed to focus on something so small when flying, but hopefully he could feel confident over it once he managed to catch it once. Watching the ball, he gasped when Takeshi used his feet to give the ball a little boost. Startled, Shu bounced back on his feet before giving it a shot with trying to fly to catch it, managing to boost himself off the ground but spun in the air when he missed the ball. Gasping, he flailed at first before flying straight for it, managing to catch it but bounced off the ground when he didn’t land on his feet. It didn’t hurt to fall, but he was surprised that it happened and rolled over onto his feet before springing back up, still holding the ball fairly tight. “I got! I got!” he gasped before briefly running and tossing the ball to Takeshi.

Kiton knew he could’ve gotten worse people to look after him, but he wasn’t going to complain about that right about now. He had a ton of other worries and being concerned with who he got to watch over him wasn’t one of them. Maybe he could find some way to feel a little better about this by testing to see what his limits were and what he was allowed to do. “Yeah well, I don’t plan on acting suspicious by asking highly controversial questions”, he sighed, exiting the room. He didn’t know what Korian thought about him and hearing Sasha defend him didn’t much help considering she was the one who worked for him so she had to like him.

“Maybe he shouldn’t be trying to do all that by himself. People can protect themselves”, he frowned, shaking his head before sighing, “And she’s like a nanny, huh? Seems like a big job for just one person”. If it took someone to keep another in check then he was sure there was trouble brewing beneath the surface, as if the thought of her leaving or simply going elsewhere for a little while would be enough for Korian to snap. Feeling surprised that he was allowed a computer he smiled, letting her take the lead. “Great! I just want to check something, is all”, he spoke quickly before frowning, “Uhh, nothing controversial, just something anybody can access, I guess. I just need to know a few things”.

Krom was perfectly calm and ready to give Korian the answers he was allowed to give him, not that he wouldn’t give out some dirt about Yamate so long as it didn’t endanger his people and the palace. It was free reign for him here even if he was being kept under lock and key for now until they would finally see he had nothing to hide that would endanger everyone. Watching Korian get all short tempered already over what he was saying he leaned back, looking down at the table before lazily up at Korian. He really didn’t seem too far from punching him in the face, but surely he wasn’t allowed to do that to compliant prisoners. “Wait, you don’t know yet?” he asked before laughing briefly, letting out a sigh, “Oh man, you people really are out of the loop, huh?” It was quite amusing seeing him so frustrated, but it was no big deal so long as he didn’t release that frustration in the form of a fist to his face. Staring at him as he only furthered questioned him he frowned when it was instead demanded, as if he wouldn’t give him the information in the first place.

“You met the creatures, right? The ones that interrupted our little skirmish? They’ve been around for a very long time, much longer before this war even started. They’re an external force that has been trying to take over planets and once they’ve taken over those planets there’s no way to get them back, not that we know at least. Since even before I was old enough to join the army has Yamate been fighting against them, trying to unite the planets to bring them under his protection! Even if you manage to ‘poof’ those creatures, they won’t be destroyed permanently; they’ll keep coming back. Only a certain kind of energy has been able to destroy them permanently and all this fighting is really getting in the way of progress! Sure, it helps to weaken them, but you’ve been keeping the secret to their destruction under your guard and that’s a real pain for us! The King’s sons need to be ready to fight these creatures too, even if they can’t fully destroy them. They need to learn how to guard themselves if they were to ever encounter the worst of their bunch other than little tussles, it helps when they’re friends with something that can kill them permanently. It’s great, huh? They fight, the other destroys the remains once those creatures are weakened; although, they need to learn how to fight them and get stronger to withstand their forces. You getting me yet? This is not something we should be fighting each other for! Saiyans were always supposed to fight together, not against each other”.

"If that's the case then just relax, don't try getting to sleep. If you can relax, sleep should come naturally," Aito responded, smiling as he took a sip of his tea. If Viral stressed himself too much by not falling asleep immediately then he may not be able to relax, and with that being the entire point of this trip of theirs that would utterly defeat the purpose. Proposing they move to the beach didn't seem like it would go over well either, which was unfortunate but not an utter disappointment; wherever they could go for Viral to feel comfortable was fine by him. "Points taken, we'll remain here then. I suppose it's not the location that makes it, but rather how he approach the situation," the doctor reflected, giving a shrug before sipping at his tea again. Placing his glass down at his side then he raised his arms up above his head in a stretch, groaning before falling back and laying out across the grass. This was nice, being out here and not having to worry about much of anything. There still was a laundry list of things he had to take care of in regards to work, yet that was neither here nor there, he'd pay those mind when it was time to. Inhaling and drawing in deep the scents of the forest, smiling and letting out a sigh at the pleasantness of it. "So refreshing... It's been much too long since I got to do this..."

Flying might be a touch risky what with Shu being injured, but it'd be good to keep up to practice so he didn't forget how again. He'd not do anything crazy, just enough to make the little guy have to get up some and make a grab for it. Bouncing it around on his feet for a second Takeshi gave the ball a decent kick, watching it fly off into the air towards his brother. It was exciting right up to the point where Shu began tumbling, which made Takeshi, for the second time in moments, dash over to try and help. Gasping when Shu hit the ground he worried something might be terribly wrong, calling to mind the last time that his kid brother had crashed down after flying. In a heartbeat though Shu was back to his feet, looking completely fine despite the fall. Still hurrying over though he was moving when the ball was tossed, moving too quick and taking the ball right off the forehead and bridge of his nose, falling back onto his rear comically as he was seeing stars from being struck, smiling cluelessly as the ball fell down and landed in the same spot, rolling off to the side harmlessly.

"You'll be with me anyways, so you should be okay. I'm not nearly as hard pressed as Ricken is," Sasha explained, "Just be careful what you say about our comrades while here. I know Korian can be harsh, I know sometimes we don't use the kindest of methods, but it's all for good reason. And I don't like having my friends and comrades defaced or shamed for what they stand for." Her tone wasn't in the least bit threatening, yet she hoped Kiton would listen to and abide by what she had said. These people risked their lives for the betterment of others, for people across planets who they probably never met, and never would even after the fact. You couldn't talk poorly about them, not after doing something like that. "She's not really a nanny, she doesn't change his diaper or feed him," Sasha joked, smiling as she shook her head, "She's just the brains whenever he loses his cool, and she helps make sure everything runs smoothly. He's the brawn and she's the brain, that's the simplest way to put it I suppose." Glancing back at the Frost Demon on the computer she chuckled slightly, amused that he felt the need to immediately defend himself and make his intentions clear. "It's fine, I know you're not going to do anything bad. I trust the judgement of the Princes and their friends. If they let you come along then I'll agree with them, even if your past is questionable. If you don't mind my asking though... What is it you want to look into? Maybe I can help?"

If Korian wasn't annoyed with Krom enough already, the laughing set him over the edge. Were Sayomi not in the room he'd probably have gotten somewhat violent, but with her present he managed to reign in his annoyance, closing his eyes and gritting his teeth. He was being spoken to like an idiot, it was insulting especially from a prisoner. If there was more to these beasts then it was not his fault he was unaware, he'd only been able to sift through the information his own troops had gathered. While silently steaming he allowed for Krom to say his piece, finding his anger giving way to confusion as the man went on. "What do you mean 'a certain kind of energy'? And okay, I'll grant you that perhaps what you've said about those monsters is true, we've seen it with our own eyes. But where do they come from? Why have they been attacking planets? I find it hard to believe that this war began as an effort to stifle their advance... But let's say hypothetically for a moment that I do, then what? We end all hostilities, join forces and drive back the menace? If this is the reality of the situation then why wait until now to reveal it? We could have avoided this entire war if this was made public years ago!" Korian snapped, gripping the table to try and settle down, bending and warping it in the process, "What the hell is Yamate thinking alienating everyone like this?!"

Viral didn’t know how he was supposed to relax when he was tense all over with so much on his mind. He was already wondering if he was able to chill out like he was supposed to with this kind of pain running through his body, his arms and legs feeling as if they were going to snap from tenseness. “I can certainly try, but whether I can succeed I have no idea. I’m not in the best of shape and you know that, so relaxing is like trying to force my body into submission when it doesn’t want to”. If he was unable to relax this way then he didn’t know what he was supposed to do. Relaxing in the woods was something normal people did and even that seemed impossible. Looking to Aito he soon sighed and decided to drink up some tea again, not particularly feeling the benefits to it just yet but he wasn’t going to pass up fluid; just because he couldn’t eat didn’t mean he couldn’t drink. Looking to Aito as he decided to soak up nature for a bit he groaned, looking away. “Yeah, and it was my doing. I took away your ability to live. Don’t start repeating yourself either. The true way to recovery is to accept what you’ve done wrong, not hide it away behind excuses like being made to do it”.

Shu was a little surprised when he didn’t catch the ball, knowing he probably would had if he tried just a little harder to go a little faster or maybe even if he jumped. With a squeak he went off and away after it, managing to get it but tumbling to the ground in the momentum. Landing rather clumsily, Shu was fair quick to get up once again, try and throw the ball only for it to bounce right off Takeshi’s face. Gasping, Shu quickly bounced over, stopping at Takeshi’s side as the ball bounced off his face again. “Ah! I didn’t mean! I didn’t mean!” he squeaked, grabbing the ball and holding it close to him he slowly moved around Takeshi, feeling uncertain to what he was supposed to do, “I didn’t want to do that, it just happen and all bad happen…”

Kiton wasn’t very impressed so far but at least he wasn’t being vaulted into a cell just for being there. He did wonder if Korian didn’t notice the reward for his capture or just ignored it in favour of moving onto the next subject. It was rather strange for someone to pass up a reward like that, but it certainly didn’t seem like he knew it with how he barely cared for him. It made him a little sad really; the first place he had been allowed to mingle with other beings and not end up having to run away or fight them off and yet he was feeling rather lonely. “Okay great, I get it: don’t say bad things about the others”, he sighed, shrugging, “So she is practically in charge. Anybody can be the brawn, but smart Saiyans aren’t exactly easy to come by”. Feeling he was already pushing it with requesting the computers he frowned when she simply laughed, looking away as she spoke. He was just being cautious and had every right to be, she didn’t need to be so jolly about it. “Hm right, well hopefully they remember me or I’ll be locked away”, he sighed, scratching his arm, “I just…need to know if they think I’m dead or missing. The force are pretty good at keeping track of criminals and every time I checked they were right on my tail. I just need to see if my status doesn’t have them knowing where I am this time after what happened, that’s all”.

Krom felt like he was the one in charge here, seeing Korian was quite on the edge at this point and not at all able to comprehend what was going on. He was certain he was going to eventually snap and get in trouble with how much he was holding in his anger, then he would really be in trouble. Hearing Korian get completely frustrated with what he was saying he looked down at the table as he quickly lost his cool, showing he knew barely anything about what was happening. “I don’t know what Yamate was thinking, he wasn’t exactly quick to tell me and only seemed to when they started popping up more! Probably thought it was starting to get worrisome when they were popping up all over the place”, he spoke, shaking his head before looking back to Korian, “Maybe he thought he was strong enough to keep them and you lot in check, but since attacks are getting worse it’s obvious some measures are needing to be taken. Those creatures want the planets for themselves, taking what isn’t theirs and shipping them elsewhere. The energy that can destroy them indefinitely is held by the Beastman, you see. He has the power to kill them, but it doesn’t help that he doesn’t take orders from anyone and hangs around with the biggest slackers I’ve ever seen. If they were stronger, they could weaken those monsters better than Yamate. Even the youngest can tear them apart better than Ki can, but shame they’re all so weak right now. They need someone to train them right”.

"And that is why we have the tea, to help relax your body. There are alternatives as well, but I figured tea is the simplest route, and it's the only one we can enjoy out here," Aito responded casually, smiling as he relaxed in the grass, "It's a good sign that you're fatigued like this, believe it or not. It shows that yesterday proved to be a workout for you, and with some rest your muscles will build mass. Rinse and repeat as the saying goes, and pretty quickly you'll be regaining strength." It might be a few weeks until Viral had returned to his former level of strength, but at least this was a proof of concept in action. As he regained his ability to work they would up the load as well, slowly enough as not to injure him yet enough to keep him pressed and exerting energy. Hearing Viral becoming downtrodden and completely misunderstanding the meaning of what he'd said, Aito lifted his head and smiled slightly, "You misunderstood, I meant spend casual time with you. I was always working before, and since coming back we've been working. I'm glad to be able to enjoy some quality time with you, that's all." If that was to be Viral's stance on what had happened then so be it, he'd come to appreciate that his actions were not voluntary, sooner or later. Laying his head back down Aito folded his arms beneath them, staring up at the clouds as they floated by. "Perhaps lay down? Your muscles might be straining since they're having to support you in an upright position, so lying down could help relieve some of that."

That was twice now that Takeshi had freaked out, rather on edge about Shu getting hurt. How in the world was the little guy turning a simple game of catch into such a stressful activity? He'd gotten so worked up over his brother he'd run over to make doubly sure Shu was unharmed from his fall, completely getting blindsided by the ball as it struck him in the head. It wasn't painful, but more surprising and hence it knocked him over: the ball rebounding and smacking him a second time didn't help either. Lying down in the grass in a daze he watched as Shu came over and began circling him, smirking when he started to get worried. "Oh... My head... I think I broke something! You'd better check buddy!" he said, faking rather awfully as he placed a hand on his forehead. When Shu came down close enough he reached up and grabbed his little brother, grinning as he began to try and tickle at his stomach and sides. "Ha! Got you squirt!" he shouted, laughing as he tried to keep Shu in place, "I'll keep tickling you til you wet your pants! Better run!"

Sasha felt like she was beating a dead horse by repeating herself, but it was for Kiton's own sake she did. Korian really took offense to their own being harmed, one only had to look as far as Viral to see that. Granted what had happened with the Beastman was an extreme case, but she still voiced an air of caution. "I wouldn't say she's in charge, she's more... Well let me put it this way. Korian knows how to put plans into action, but he's not the best at making them. Sayomi makes plans, Korian executes them, so in a way they both need one another, it's what makes them such a good team." From what she understood they were a formidable duo even back in the Saiyan military, and given their record together as well as her own personal experience of them, she'd believe it. Smiling apologetically when Kiton got upset over her laughing she gave a wave of her hand, hardly thinking he had cause for worry. "Everyone's busy today it seems, they'll come back for you. They saved me and Ricken, two people they had never met in their lives, and my brother notwithstanding I think we're on good terms with them still. They won't abandon you, so don't worry," Sasha explained, "And whether it's changed or not doesn't much matter. We're out of the jurisdiction of the Galactic Police here. Uuonoe has a history of neutrality, and while they're now sided with the rebels, and who isn't, that fact hasn't changed. They don't harbor criminals, so the police have never bothered. I think as long as no one sells you out you're fine, but if checking will help you relax then we can still do it."

Korian wasn't sure what angered him more, the fact Krom acted smug for having this knowledge, or the fact it had been withheld up until now. There would have been so much trouble spared, so many lives saved if they had known the truth from the beginning. Thinking the King was strong enough to handle both these beasts and the rebels by himself was an absurd notion; Yamate was strong, of that there was no doubt, but even he had his limits. In addition to that the fact that the creatures were only able to be slain by Viral's particular form of energy made any effort on the King's part moot... And theirs as well. "Viral cannot be expected to fight in his current state, he's barely able to move around. That doctor of theirs is working on him, but I don't know how long that will take. If he's our only chance of really slaying these creatures..." Maybe there was an alternative, some other way they could fight the beasts. What was it about Viral's power that made it so unique? Wasn't it solar based? By that logic even he could come up with a plan; focus solar energy at a focal point and use it as a weapon, they had the technology for such a weapon. Granted using them in a wide area or mass producing smaller arms would be far more challenging, and then people still had to be capable of using them. "And do you propose that you train them? Is that why you're here?" Korian asked, frowning as he glanced at Krom distrustfully, "They're currently recovering, we cannot expect them to just suddenly begin a regiment with you, or anyone for that matter. I won't disagree they've been casual about this entire affair, but they're children, what can you expect? You had better have a damn good reason why you should be the one to train them, because I cannot do it, and neither can Sayomi. If what you're saying is true then we have a lot of work to do and perhaps not a lot of time to do it."

Viral stared at Aito for a moment before groaning, looking away again and simply drank his tea. He didn’t know why Aito had bothered with the tea, it wasn’t making him feel relaxed yet and he was still in a whole load of pain. It was difficult to think through it, but it wasn’t as if he hadn’t felt worse before. “Hmm, I just call it pain over any sort of improvement. It’s not the most pleasant of feelings if this is on the road to recovery”. Slowly placing the glass by his side he sighed, staring out before to Aito when he decided to make light of what he said to try and curb his favour. “Which is still my doing. If I just tried to be stronger, if none of that ever happened…none of that destruction within the family…” If there was ever going to be regret it would be being easily manipulated. He didn’t know who he was before any of that and couldn’t get any of the terrible memories out of his head to make way for whatever good memories he might’ve had previously. Glancing to Aito at his suggestion he frowned, looking down at the grass as he felt it behind him. This was going to be pretty painful and what was worse was he probably wouldn’t be able to get up, but he had to try. Slowly moving onto his elbows he grunted slightly in pain, pausing for a moment before finally laying down on his back. This was a rather painful experience if he ever had to complain, his muscles stiff as if unable to comprehend what he was feeling. “…Why did you make me do this…”

Shu didn’t know what he was supposed to do now, seeing how he injured his brother with a ball. He was just wanting to play, but it seemed he couldn’t do that without hurting someone. Squeaking worriedly as he moved around Takeshi to see if he was okay he frowned when he started complaining, looking around as if hoping he didn’t cause a scene before gasping as Takeshi instead grabbed him, pulling him in for a ticking. Squeaking, he fell off his feet and started flailing, kicking out wildly before immediately rolling over onto his front and making a run for it. “No! No tickle! Bad tickle! Bad things with the tickle!”

Kiton didn’t really know how this place worked but hearing around it didn’t give him the desire to learn what it meant to be a rebel. The pair of Saiyans that were the leaders just didn’t really give him a good vibe, but then again the woman being pretty silent and the other had an aggressive air about him. “I’m guessing they ran away together to form this rebellion. Seems like a good idea, I guess…” he sighed, shrugging, “I guess the only way I can give them judgement is if I see how they work, but I doubt I’d see that anytime soon. I’m struggling to understand how this group work and what I’m supposed to be doing with them nevermind caring for a group that I’ve never encountered before”. If he had any care for the rebels then maybe he would be more bothered by how the pair worked, but as it stood the rebels didn’t really seem to be in the other’s interest apart for being accommodation. Feeling a little worried over other matters he glanced up at Sasha before looking away with a sigh. “Yeah well, if you think so. I’ve never had anybody take me in before, even when I was little…uhh, littler-er”, he muttered, lightly shrugging before looking up at Sasha, “I’m still concerned though. I mean, if they know that their ship took me away to this planet they’ll be hanging over waiting for me to leave. It’s still worth knowing just in case they decide to come around; those guys are not afraid to go all out to capture a criminal”.

Krom was being fairly patient with Korian’s anger, seeing how disruptive it was. His demands and everything to do with the information he was giving should’ve been passed onto him already instead of the man having a fit in his face. Staring at Korian as he ran through everything out loud he watched to see if Korian was going to be able to pick up on anything else he might’ve been told, but luckily the whole secret Beastman project wasn’t known to the man yet. It was too sensitive a project to let this man know, especially when he was not a fan of artificial creatures already. “Well you better get to fixing him if I train these kids. The power cannot be harnessed as you need a living creature to project it and you can probably tell what that will involve if a weapon was to be created revolving around that energy. I guess the best way to think about the energy is that it’s ‘alive’ in a sense”. It almost felt like he was talking to the science guy again, but whatever if it meant it was going to help his case. Staring at Korian who expressed further doubt over his intentions he lightly shrugged, feeling he had already explained himself. “I am the best for the job because if they even get in trouble, I can get them out of it. They won’t take the likes of you or her on their trips and even if that bug friend of theirs is strong he seems too wild to take control of a dire situation. They need a mentor who will guide them on the path to being true Saiyan warriors! Even if they’re only half Saiyan. The youngest is getting wilder with each rampage and the eldest has no damn idea how to harness that rage of his into pure energy! They’re going to end up in a worse shape than they are now if someone doesn’t mentor them”.

"Well... We're all here now, that's what matters. As pleasant or unpleasant as the past was, dwelling and ruminating on it now does us no good, right? I say let bygones be bygones and move on." He had been the one to die in that event, yet Aito felt no ill-will about it. Perhaps that was due to knowing it had been Volkov's doing, or that he simply couldn't bring himself to show any disdain for Viral; whatever the case might be the doctor was fine about it, and he hoped soon the Beastman might be as well. Opening one eye to watch as Viral laid down in the grass, Aito smiled knowingly and laid back again, letting out a content yawn. "Ah... to mess with you obviously, that's my entire prerogative," he responded, chuckling before shaking his head, "Honestly, it's to try and help you relax. What can be more calming than sipping tea in a tranquil forest, or lying in the cool, soft grass beneath a beautiful blue..." Aito added, pausing as he had to glance at the sky, "Blue-ish green sky. That's why, because it's relaxing." There was no reason besides that, everything they were doing today was simply to take a load off and relax, nothing more. Aito did intend to observe Viral while they were out here as well, but he'd try not to make that as glaringly obvious as he could. "How's about trying this as well: close your eyes and focus on how your body feels, and then focus on your breathing. Try alternating between those two, and whenever your body aches try to recall your breathing."

Takeshi was completely fine after being hit, if a bit surprised by the fact. He was more laying on the ground to try and surprise Shu, hardly suppressing a grin as his little brother came over to check on him. After a brief moment of playing "dead" he reached up and began tickling the little guy, trying to get him laughing and to help him calm down a little. Instead of getting any of that however it almost appeared to make things worse, sending Shu into a fit as he scrambled to his feet and ran off. Watching his brother confused he exchanged an uncertain glance with June, rolling onto his front and getting back to his feet. "Hey, everything's cool buddy, see? I'm not hurt, you're not hurt, everything's fine," Takeshi said, smiling apologetically, "Come back over here, we're not done playing. I won't tickle you again, I swear." Maybe even just catch then, or something else? Shu always did seem to enjoy a game of tag, maybe they could do that instead. "Wanna play tag? Unless you wanna keep playing with the ball, it's whatever you want buddy, you know?"

"Well, given the options they had, I think what they did was the right thing. A ton of people are better off now because of what Korian and Sayomi have created, so I'm sure they're happy with it too," Sasha reflected, nodding confidently at her own words. She'd personally seen hundreds of smiling faces, grateful to have their freedom returned to them, and that alone made this fight of theirs worthwhile. It wasn't the easiest of jobs, but given any other alternative there was nothing she would rather be doing herself. "Ah... Well... Ricken and I were bound to have died if not for the rebellion, they saved us. I know right now these people may not seem like your friends, but they could well end up saving you too. I think as long as you're here you're going to be fine." The Galactic Police sure could come down and try taking him away, but unless they were willing to stand up to the likes of Korian they probably wouldn't get him without a fight. If their leader had something in mind for Kiton then he'd face judgement here, not off in some cell in the depths of space. They had finally come to the recreation room, with almost two dozen soldiers and staff were currently relaxing, chatting amongst themselves and all around just having a good time. Holding the door for Kiton, Sasha led him over to the several computers along the far wall, turning the machine on for him before gesturing for him to take a seat. "Go ahead and do what you have to, take all the time you need." And while he did she'd try giving him some privacy, or as much as she could. Once he was seated she turned her back to him, placing herself securely at the back of his seat, arms crossed in hopes she'd be enough to keep onlookers from taking a peak.

This was all a bit much, to think that this whole war had begun under a totally different pretense. Nothing had ever been said considering this fact up until now, yet annoyingly it made sense. Damn it, why hadn't he just been told?! So much time wasted, so many lives lost, and for what? They had collectively become weaker if this was the truth, and with those monsters appearing more regularly now was not the time to be short in terms of power. "Living energy... Ki is energy of life as well, so that doesn't make sense. There must be something more to it than just being 'alive' as you say..." Korian mumbled, frowning as he folded his hands together, resting his chins on his thumbs. He'd have to have Sayomi explain it later, he'd not lower himself and look like a fool in front of Krom and ask now. This was troubling, and now he was expected to allow a former enemy to train the Princes? Just because he couldn't do so didn't mean the rebels could not do it, they could find someone to take the job. He hated the idea of Krom having such a position, but the Elite's knowledge and experience couldn't be doubted, and he may well be an ideal candidate. "Hn... Fine, we'll do it your way. But you'll conduct your training here on Uuonoe, and in the presence of some of our soldiers. I'll not be letting you do anything without supervision until we've made certain your intentions are as you say," Korian explained, sitting upright and looking at Krom skeptically, "Understand that if you're lying to me at all, or you try anything, I will personally see to it you're punished severely, am I clear?"

Viral was particularly bitter about what happened, even if he didn’t fully remember it happening. His memory was fuzzy and all he knew was he had done it, typical for a lot of his memories. They were gone but the trauma they caused was always going to be fairly fresh whenever he was reminded of it. If he was well enough he would’ve gone and destroyed whoever made him do it, just to make him feel the tiniest bit better. Groaning at Aito’s words he could only feel pain from this point on, like lying down after a major workout. His muscles were tense, but at least he felt a little warmer inside, he guessed. Giving Aito an annoyed look he gazed back into the sky, not like he had anywhere else to look just now anyway. “You know, I wouldn’t be surprised if you simply did it to mess with me”, he groaned, closing his eyes momentarily, “I am trying to relax, it’s just difficult, that’s all…” Not entirely certain how he was going to relax he made a quick glance to Aito before sighing, rolling onto his side so he was facing away from Aito. “I’ve tried that sort of thing before. The problem is when I close my eyes. I see everything”.

Shu didn’t know whether to laugh or be fearful for he might end up hurting his brother and causing even more problems. He was scared of hurting his brother and making things considerable worse for him, especially after hitting him on the face with the ball. Running off away from him he stopped and crouched low to the ground, holding the ball close to his chest as he stared at Takeshi who soon got up. He seemed okay, but now he had made Takeshi concerned over him too. Squeaking, he curled up a little as he stared up at Takeshi, tilting his head a little before slowly springing along back to Takeshi in little hops. “Not hurt? Takeshi silly?” he questioned, slowly standing up again while still holding the ball to his chest. Feeling a little lost to what he was to do now he held the ball out for Takeshi to take, listening to his suggestion. “Tag? I might bite you, though! You still hurt, it no good if you still hurt! Doing bad things, being bad while play…maybe it’s not good idea to play”.

Kiton felt he was going to have a difficult time getting his head around all of this, especially when he was just a normal citizen with a terrible record. People like him didn’t catch any of the fighting that was going on unless he was on a planet where it was happening, but luckily he didn’t have any involvement in that kind of stuff or managed to get away before any of it happened. He was fairly good at running away, something that was pretty shameful for a Frost Demon. “Save me? I don’t know if they’ll ever do something like that for me. You two probably deserved to have your lives saved, but, ehh…I don’t know, everyone wants my race extinct”. He knew there was a chance he wouldn’t be allowed to be under their guard if he was going to be too much trouble for them. It was always going to be possible that the Galactic Police would see that side too and convince Korian to hand him over before the others knew he was gone.

Hoping he’d be able to find some answers to ease his mind a little over the possibility that he didn’t need to worry about that stuff he sighed once they finally arrived at the room, looking around quickly before heading over to the computer with Sasha. Settling down on the chair he waited for the computer to get started before going into the galaxy’s information banks, going straight for the Galactic Police’s wanted list. Going through it quickly he soon found his name, clicking on it hoping he might be able to get a break here. The picture they had of him wasn’t the most flattering as it showed him firing at the police as they tried to capture him, his head sinking down a little as he immediately scrolled away from all that and his offences to see his status. “My status is…’at large’? Wait, does that mean they know where I am or what? That gives no information…”

It wasn’t that Krom wasn’t already annoyed with the fact that Yamate had held this information from him and everyone else for so long, he would’ve liked being told this all before the rebellion happened and then maybe they would’ve controlled the problem. His people were in danger and so long as he could fight he would make sure they didn’t succumb to those creatures. Staring at Korian who only grew confused over his explanation he sighed, leaning back. “Fine, think of it as if the sun decided to flick you because it didn’t like you, or decide to blast a planet because it got in the way of another star in the distance. That kind of living”. Korian really did lack the brains, but whatever since he did have Sayomi to correct him. Waiting for Korian to think it over he glanced away for a moment, keeping quiet before finally looking back when he finally agreed. Smirking lightly, he sat up straight as he gave his attention back to Korian. He didn’t care that he was going to have to be watched over, it still meant he was going to be able to do his job. “Yeah, yeah…I get it. It’s not like I won’t receive even worse from Yamate if I fail. The training will be hard, so hopefully they’re up to the task or this will all be for nought. I do hope you’ll play a part too in convincing them just how dire this is and how much we need them to compromise”.

"I would not try messing with you, not now. Please, I've a little more respect for you than that," Aito responded, smiling slightly amused, "Don't be so cynical, my intentions here are purely to help." Of course relaxing was going to be difficult, everything from hereon out would be for Viral. If they wanted to make improvements however this was necessary, that much had to be understood. Getting the Beastman to lie down was the first step in what he hoped would be the beginning to that road. Hearing Viral remark about closing his eyes, the doctor let out a silent sigh and gave a small nod, expecting as much from him. "I would imagine so. In that case... Try it. If your mind goes to unpleasant places, focus instead on your surroundings. What you can hear in the present, what you feel. If that doesn't help, focus on the rhythm of your breathing, and if that fails, try focusing on simply the sound of my voice. This can work Viral, and I'm not saying it's easy, but give it a try. You may end up pleasantly surprised." If this worked on the first attempt then they would both be surprised, and Aito wasn't terribly averted to being surprised. "Just give it a shot... Picture where we are, at this very moment... Then shift to your breathing, note the fall and rise of your chest, the steady, rhythmic beat of your heart, the sounds you can hear..." They had to at least try, at worst they'd know it was a bust and move on to something else.

Takeshi hadn't planned on freaking out Shu like that, and now he felt crappy for scaring the little guy. Getting up to show he was unharmed he smiled slightly, rubbing at his neck as he waved his brother over. "Yeah, silly Takeshi, I'm fine buddy. No reason to panic," he answered, watching as Shu bounded back over to him. Okay, so tickling was a no go, maybe they could do something else instead? He probably didn't want to play catch after faking getting pegged like that, and the older boy wasn't keen on taking another spill, having agitated his shoulder when tumbling down. Taking the ball from Shu, Takeshi rolled it between his fingers as he proposed a game of tag, figuring that was easy and safe enough for them. Instead his sibling found even more reason to worry, and the eldest sibling had to suppress a groan of exasperation. "It's always a good idea to play, we just have to figure out what to do..." he mumbled, tossing the ball up a few times, watching it thoughtfully. Okay, tag was a no go, catch was probably out too, so what else? A lot of what they did was physical, yet there was no way they could do that with both of them recovering.

"Weren't you wanting to learn, Shu?" June interjected, smiling as she came up behind Takeshi, "I heard from Yumi you wanted to learn more. If you don't want to play, then why don't we do that? Between myself and Takeshi we can teach you a few things." At the very least they could instruct him on the basics, and anything past that would fall to the others. No one would get hurt by any of that, and it might even prove to be enjoyable to them. Plus... Wasn't their friend currently being instructed as well? T'charrl, was it? They could join him and Vegeta for some lessons, and she could sit in and help where needed. "Your friend T'charrl is being taught right now, we can go join in and you can learn with him, does that sound okay? No one will get hurt during that." Unless someone did something silly like try to eat a crayon, or fell out of their chair. Nah, everyone would be just fine.

"I wouldn't say that. The Frost Demons haven't really been a galactic threat for many years now, you've kind of faded into obscurity compared to before," Sasha remarked, giving a small shrug as she spoke plainly, "Don't take that the wrong way though, it's a good thing. Sure, there are those who will cast you as a criminal because of who you are, but most people, like me, don't care. I'm aligned with Saiyans, people who by all rights are the worst in the universe right now. I don't look at who someone is, but what they've done." While Kiton might have a record, what was on it? Petty thefts? Evading arrest for said thefts? Maybe a case of assault here and there, though when dealing with the Galactic Police that was hardly uncommon. In her brief time knowing Kiton, Sasha felt relatively confident that he wasn't someone who warranted a constant manhunt, though clearly she and the police may think differently. "At large...?" she repeated, frowning as she leaned down to look at the screen, "It means they don't know where you are, but they're looking. So for the time being it means you're safe," she explained, frowning as she stood upright again, "But it also means they haven't given up just yet, so take it how you will. Like I said though, as long as you're here on Uuonoe, you'll be fine."

Korian loathed to show he was failing to understand this concept of "solar energy", yet he was furrowing his brow trying to wrap his mind around it. He always thought of it as similar to Ki, just coming from a different source. Warriors who utilized Ki could pull it from the world around them, from any living being that had some to spare. Viral's energy then, he figured, was just taken directly from the suns of various planets, depending on what one he was on. It was confusing to be sure, but he'd wait until he was somewhere private with Sayomi to have it explained. On to the matter at hand, though he loathed to say it, having Krom train the Princes and whoever else really was the best choice. That aside, if something were to go wrong, say... Shu rampage, then he'd care less if the former Elite was injured, so all the better. That was the one little saving grace in all of this, that at the very least his own troops wouldn't be at risk. "I'll say what I can, but I tend not to think I've very much influence on them," Korian replied bluntly, smiling faintly as he gave a shake of his head, "Once they're informed of everything I don't doubt they'll go along willingly, just don't expect full cooperation. Shu seems to do solely as Takeshi asks of him, and Takeshi does... Well, as Takeshi pleases. As for the rest, they're a bit unknown. You'll have your hands full convincing them to follow you, that's a given."

Viral let out a groan, slowly shifting his legs into a more comfortable position. “You know it’s a lot easier to assume after your first impression that you would love to mess with me throughout this”. He was still pretty angry with him after all of that, even if he tried to be calm about it and see it as a test or something similar. It wasn’t easy to shake off anger towards someone nowadays for him, but then again he had been harbouring a lot of anger and hate for many things for a very long time. Hearing Aito sigh at his complaints made him angry as well, as if hearing the sigh as him being fed up with his current situation and seeing it as him getting fed up with his excuses. He almost got angry enough to snap at him for it but decided to shake it off, not really feeling in the mood for getting up just to face him again and give him a piece of his mind. Lightly groaning, Viral did try to follow his advice, remaining fairly still as he tried to relax. It was too difficult to focus on what was around him just now, almost as if a tense wash took over his body every time he breathed. It was awful and he just wished for it to be over, but the others would never allow that. “I can’t focus on any of that. It’s impossible”, he spoke, sighing as he rubbed his chest, “My heartbeat is very distracting, I can’t control it either. It’s just constantly in my ears, my chest continuously throbbing as if my heart’s going to burst…”

Shu felt pretty bad, feeling like he was ruining the time they had together. He didn’t mean to, he just wanted to play with his brother but he seemed to be constantly hurting him or placing him at risk of being hurt. He was sure he was going to cause his brother stress if he continued on with his antics. Raising his shoulders as Takeshi took the ball from him he rubbed his hands together, sniffling a little as if trying to hide his guilt. “I do like play, but…but still…” he squeaked, pressing his fingers together and looking away before gasping as June stepped in. Staring up at her curiously he tilted his head to the side, his eyes soon going to Takeshi before he lowered his head. “I would like to learn the things. Friend T’charrl all hurt still! Would like to see Friend too! I hurt Friend pretty bad too. I hope he get okay…”

Even with Frost Demons not being considered a massive threat like they would had been in the past, Kiton still found himself targeted because of what he was whether it was through ridicule or racism. It was just a common factor and he was sure Saiyans went through it too, but people were also not that stupid sometimes as well. Saiyans seemed to come in groups a lot so if you badmouth one you were bound to get punched in the face by another nearby. The Galactic Police being after him was because of how he grew up, typically not on a very good side of the galaxy and always having to find many ways to get by which often included resorting to violence. It was just how the galaxy worked for those not born into normal social structures with their own race or community to back them up. Trying to skip all that detail on the page as he went to find his status he was upset upon finding the answer to be most vague indeed. He didn’t know what it meant to be ‘at large’, he was used to seeing a location or ‘on the run’ meaning they were chasing him. Looking up to Sasha who gave him reassurances on what it meant, Kiton sighed heavily and raised his shoulders. “Oh great, so still got to watch myself just in case they decide to come to a planet that’s highly suspicious”, he spoke before leaning back, “Well, I guess it’s better than anything else they might put up. Is it the rebels who give clearance to outsiders trying to land on the planet? You know, just wondering since they might try to investigate Uunoue”.

Krom really did try hard to explain what he meant to Korian, but as usual the man was not the sharpest tool in the shed when it came to differences like that. He didn’t know if he should care much more than that though and just move onto the next topic, namely one that meant he would be able to do his duty and train the kids. He wasn’t scared of what might happen during the training of if they refused, all that mattered just now was if he could get out of this building and have just a little bit of freedom other than sitting around waiting for people to see him. “Then maybe I’ll have to see to convincing the youngest to cooperate first. Takeshi already seemed suspicious when I took them back here, but it wasn’t as if he was trying to kill me on the way back. I’m sure he’ll eventually see things my way and how dire the situation is becoming”.

Why was Viral getting so agitated? Aito had done nothing to provoke him, yet his tone was taught with irritation. As far as a desired outcome was concerned, this was exactly the opposite of what they had wanted. Rather than respond at first the doctor let a silence settle, nothing but the sound of ruffling leaves in the wind falling upon their ears. So even all of this wasn't capable of helping Viral come down, what more did they need? He had brought along some medicine for the pain, though he'd rather not resort to that. Still... If it got Viral to rest, would it be acceptable? Aito pushed himself slowly from where he laid, rubbing his head as he glanced over at the Beastman, hearing him speak. It was worth it then, it sounded like he was far too uncomfortable and anxious to relax, which hopefully this painkiller would remedy, at least slightly. Getting to his feet, Aito reached into his pocket and withdrew a pill bottle, taking out just a single one and bringing it to Viral's side, crouching down and tapping his son's shoulder before offering it over in an empty hand. "Here, this will help with some of the pain. Perhaps if you take this then try, it'll be somewhat easier." They could even use sleep medications, but he'd prefer to do this as free of medicine as they could.

Damn it, he'd screwed up again, hadn't he? They had been doing well and then he'd pulled that little stunt, now Shu wasn't wanting to play any more. It wasn't all bad though, they would be heading back and taking part in some lessons, something else the little guy had desperate need of. And who knows, maybe getting to learn some things would make him feel better too. Takeshi managed a small smile at his brother's decision, nodding his head and pocketing the ball for the time being. "I bet T'charrl's already feeling better, don't worry buddy," Takeshi said, hoping to get his brother happy again, "Let's go see, yeah? I bet he'll be glad we're stopping by." Eager to get moving and try making things right again, the Prince grabbed hold of his brother and easily swung him up onto his back, figuring a piggyback was the quickest way of them moving, even if he was still sore and banged up. Besides, didn't Shu enjoy getting these? All the more reason to try it then, hopefully just this simple act would be enough to cheer him up some.

"Yeah, everyone who is here, one way or another, has been cleared by the rebels or the Uuonians. You're the exception, since we just brought you back from Namek," Sasha explained, "Given how injured you were we couldn't bother waiting, and they're not going to turn someone away who needs treatment, even if they might have been an enemy. If you're here though then you're under rebel jurisdiction, not the Galactic Police. They can come by and bang on our door all they want, unless the higher ups decide to hand you over, they have no authority here." Maybe it was a bit confrontational of them to behave that way, but Sasha agreed with it entirely. The Galactic Police had no business here on Uuonoe, and they certainly had no business in the middle of a warzone. They could chase down petty thieves and small time killers all day, but they really should leave the actually dangerous individuals to them. Not to say Kiton was terribly dangerous, so far he seemed fairly docile, given the charges against him. "Well, I'm guessing you found out what you wanted to, so that's good. Is there anything else you were wanting to get done today?"

Korian wasn't a fan of how things had turned out, but perhaps it would be for the best. They could still monitor Krom and the Princes here on Uuonoe, and with the Elite training them there was no threat to his own troops. Should anything go awry, he reasoned, he could stop it, and the only man who'd be at risk would be an enemy. "Convincing Shu won't be easy without convincing his brother, surely you've noticed that by now," the rebel leader remarked, smiling slightly as he spoke, "You'll have to somehow convince them together, or not at all. I'm afraid they're terribly difficult that way, one won't move without the other." He would help eventually, if the situation was so dire, but he wanted to have a chance to see Krom flounder and fail before doing so. It was the very least he could enjoy, seeing as they were not going to be punishing the man for his transgressions. "That should suffice for today, you've permission to go find the boys and inform them of what is happening. That, however, I leave in your hands." Satisfied that it should be more than a handful, Korian rose from the table with a smirk, exiting the room promptly thereafter. Krom might be an excellent warrior, but it was time to see how well he could train two stubborn, rash children.

Viral was trying, he wasn’t just complaining for the hell of it. He wanted to feel better and to finally sleep again, but he was already struggling to relax. Even with the tea and all the work he did he felt tense and in a fair degree of pain that nobody could possibly understand. If his body really was breaking down then this feeling was the best evidence for it happening to him, but whether anyone else understood just how severe it was remained up to his analytic abilities. It often felt his complaints were falling on deaf ears and they were quite content to just let it be and for him to shut up and get on with it. It certainly felt like one of those moments where he was expected to try and be quiet and just relax like he was supposed to. Just as he was wondering whether ramming into a tree headfirst would be better, and less painful than this, he looked up when Aito tapped him on the shoulder. Staring at his hand, he took what was in it before looking at it himself, seeing it was some medicine. “Hm, you won’t even give me the pills Vegeta made for me”, he mumbled before taking it with a choking cough. Pills were hardly easy to take in the first place without fluid, but accounting for his difficulty swallowing anything that was solid the task was made just that little bit harder. Trying to settle himself down again he sighed, staring out across the grass and into the forest. “If I had a nurse instead of you two, I would get the medicine immediately on time…”

Shu felt rather guilty, not entirely understanding that he should be safe to continue and be fine with playing around with his brother. He wanted to feel happy and have fun, but everything was making him scared and worried he might end up alone because he was too afraid that he’d lose everyone and end up completely alone. It was always going to be a fear for him and he would always try hard to not let it happen, but unfortunately it seemed his actions to prevent it was making people unhappy with him. Feeling it might be best to go and see his friend he agreed with Takeshi’s decision, squeaking as he was pulled up onto his back. “Ah! I hope so, hurt Friend bad. Didn’t mean to, but still…must know if Friend is okay”, he sighed, staring down at the ground, “Sorry I ruined play. I didn’t mean to! I’m just-…just scared. If I hurt you again, you won’t want play with me…”

Kiton didn’t know if he should be worried or if he was just overthinking everything. He didn’t want to be chased right now, even if it made him out to be desiring it with all the fuss he was getting, he just wanted to be careful and understand he was in a safe place for once. It had been so long since he had been in a safe place so he had every right to be completely paranoid. “You sure about that? They won’t be allowed to? I’ve never heard of such authority over the Galactic Police”, he muttered, thinking it over as if trying to find the logic that some rebel group would be superior to them, “Whatever happened to Namek, I still didn’t mean for it to happen”. He would never hurt innocents if they didn’t harm him, that would just be pointless and illogical. He wasn’t like some petty murderer who didn’t care for other lives. Feeling unsure about his place on his planet he lowered his head a little, sighing lightly. “Hmm well, I don’t think so, but then again I don’t know what I’m to do now. I’m just stuck waiting for…something. I’m not used to having free time like this”.

Krom didn’t really enjoy the idea that he would have to stay on the base for this training, but probably if he got annoyed he’d end up having a crazy Shu run around for a bit just to show them it wasn’t a good idea to be on the facility. “Hmm I’m sure I can convince Shu. The thing is, I know something about the kid that neither of them do. I can help the kid with that transformation of his and give him some peace of mind when it comes to working with me. I’m sure they’ll both want to know how to control it”, he spoke before snickering, “Takeshi was terrified of his own brother when I was driving them here. Wouldn’t even sit with the kid”. Even if Korian had no care for the kid, he still had to realise Takeshi wouldn’t want to abandon the chance to have that aspect of him looked into. It would probably be funny to throw Shu at Korian someday, but that wouldn’t really give his case a very good chance to be seen as serious. “Great. There’s no point on starting when they’re injured, so I’ll get to them eventually…” he smirked, watching Korian take his leave. So that was it then, he was going to have to be pretty prompt with this and get to work fairly soon. There was no point on confronting them when they were still hurt since he would just look like the bad guy again, but no matter.

Aito smiled slightly as Viral complained about the selection of medicine, wondering if he perhaps ought to have grabbed that medicine like he'd considered. They hadn't given it to the Beastman regularly enough to know what it did, and he'd been hesitant to provide said medicine out here in the middle of nowhere. If it worked though then it may have been worth potential side effects; Viral's comfort came first, but they also should not put him at risk. "Perhaps you would have medicine promptly, but that might be all you'd get too," the doctor replied, placing his hands in his pockets as he stood up, glancing out into the forest as well, "I don't doubt a nurse would help you, certainly not the ones here. But their expertise and ability to help only goes so far, and at best they'll simply be drowning you in pills. We're trying to avoid such a thing, are we not?" Both he and Vegeta were opposed to using medicines for remedying illnesses like this, though Aito slightly less so. It seemed more a temporary fix than an actual one and was cause for relapse, which was something no one wanted. Sighing to himself he rubbed at his neck, eyes half-lidded as he wondered if perhaps coming out here had been a miscalculation. "Let's see how those pills help you, and if they get you to rest or not. If it fails then we can try something else, sound fair?"

"T'charrl's fine buddy, and you didn't hurt him on purpose, so don't beat yourself up over it," Takeshi responded with a smile, already heading off towards the hospital. With June following suit they left the park and got back onto the main roads, having a few blocks to travel before they were at their stop. Glancing back at Shu as he brought up play, the older boy shook his head and laughed slightly at the comments. "I won't? So I stopped playing with you the first time? Or after this last time?" he asked, glancing back again and grinning, "Come on, you should know better. I don't care what happens, I'm not leaving you buddy. Maybe I get a little shaken time to time, but I always come back don't I? And I always will." He was family, and if you didn't even have family then what did you have? Aside from just being family too, Shu was essentially his first and best friend, so there was an awful lot going for the little guy. "Look, nothing you do is going to make me leave, short of you telling me to leave. I can take a few hits here and there, it's nothing I can't handle. Though next time you do it, I'm going to give you one hell of a wedgie afterwards!"

Well, Kiton had learned about his status, but had it been worth it? He seemed uneasy now, and it was hard to say whether he'd been better off before or after the fact. Sasha supposed the latter, that way his mind wasn't making up all kinds of awful, and wrong, ideas. "We know that now, even if Korian doesn't. Believe me, we get it, things happen in the heat of a battle and sometimes it's not what you want to happen. Sooner or later Korian will cool off and you'll be fine, just you watch," she replied confidently, "And we don't really have authority over them as much as we're outside of their jurisdiction. Think of it like... Two separate ruling families, to put it that way... It's kind of similar to that. Both make laws and enforce them, but they can't force those laws on each other, or on each other's people. They're respectful of other laws and try not to cause problems, but they don't always apply. That's sort of how we work with one another." He was from a royal family, wasn't he? So that should make sense to him, she hoped. Otherwise Sasha hadn't really any idea how to explain it to T'charrl. "I guess... I don't know, it's your time to spend like you want. If you want food we can get food, you can go train in the training hall, or..." she mumbled, glancing towards the door briefly before smiling, "I could try pulling a few strings... Let you go outside in the city. With me as a guard, of course." Truthfully she didn't much care to be stuck in the building, and she was more than capable of performing her duties outside, so why not?

"Just a fair warning, since I suppose sending you to your death would be cruel of us. Yes, Shu's transformation is that of an Oozaru, but it's a unique version of it. Your knowledge may not apply, which is why we've not been attempting to train him ourselves," Korian said, sharing a little information. Frowning at the mention of Takeshi's skittishness, he wondered why no one had mentioned that prior to now. For Shu to attack his own brother, all the more reason they get that unruly child under control. Even with that information shared, vague as it may be, Krom was still going into a potentially dangerous situation, and the rebel drew something akin to satisfaction from that. It was highly unlikely he'd be killed in the event of an attack, but it certainly would not be enjoyable. Feeling slightly better with that thought, Korian stepped out of the room with Sayomi, making it some ways down the corridor before letting out a long winded sigh, glancing back at his companion confused. "Okay, what's the difference between Ki and solar energy? I thought they were similar!" he whined, sounding rather perplexed and almost childish from before, "That snake seemed to understand it better than I do, and that infuriates me. I can only hope he has one hell of a go of it with the Princes later..."

Viral didn’t know how to feel about Vegeta or Aito taking his medicine away, even if it came with side effects that were probably not that much desirable to have. If it meant he’d not be in as much pain then he was alright with having to take it, his care for side effects being incredibly limited compared to how he felt. He would do whatever it took to not feel pain, even if it meant he would become stupid in the process. One pill shouldn’t have too grand an effect on him, but hopefully it would rid him of his pain. Hearing Aito give him a small lecture on medicine and how he might receive it himself from someone else he soon let out a sigh, feeling he didn’t have time to be arguing with Aito on what his treatment could be like. “All I’m wanting is to feel better and however that happens, I don’t care what state I end up in”. With nothing but tea in his system, the medication was already moving fairly well through his system, feeling it travelling from his gut. Mumbling at Aito’s deal he just sighed lightly, trying to relax away the severe tension he was feeling. “…So, have you made any progress in curing me of this…affliction? Maybe knowing will help me to calm down…”

Shu felt it was probably best to move on from play, even if June probably didn’t want that. She was supposed to be treating him but already things were going astray and he was needing to find new plans to distract him through the day. He must’ve been making her feel disappointed for not being able to carry through with the playing aspect. Feeling a little down, Shu sighed lightly as he stared down at the ground, only looking to Takeshi when he glanced back at him. He didn’t want him to leave or find some other interests, but he did wonder if he was being selfish by desiring this. He didn’t want to limit Takeshi completely to only being with him, but he felt pretty lonely when he was by himself. When he left for the tournament all that time ago he was told he would make friends who would always be with him, so to lose his only caring family would be devastating. “What? No! I no want wedgie! That hurting for hurt! I no want to be bad, no want to be alone…it scary!”

Kiton still felt bad about it, even if Sasha was trying to make things a little better. If he didn’t do that then he wouldn’t had killed so many people, even if they did end up having a way to revive the fallen. Feeling only slightly better that he was somewhat protected, but he did feel confused over her use of words. Trying to shake it off he sighed lightly, looking to his feet momentarily before up to Sasha at her suggestions. Food sounded pretty good, but training was better; however, training might be a little too rough for someone like Sasha. He was aware of his power, but he wasn’t aware of how strong Sasha was and might end up hurting her pretty badly and only making his case to stay here even worse. “They just told me I’m not allowed out, so I doubt the city would be a good idea. I’m fine for food, I suppose…I mean, training sounds great, but I don’t know how you’d do against me, you know?”

Sayomi had kept fairly silent throughout everything, only taking notes on her computer to keep herself content. She had taken down a fair bit, but she still had a few questions she would need to get out of him at some point. Krom probably only knew vague stuff, but he still knew something he wasn’t willing to tell them like what’s up with Shu and about the data she had discovered without Korian knowing. Something was missing and she wanted to know what. Looking up to Korian once they were away from the room she frowned at his question, looking back to the room before back to Korian with a sigh. “Of course he does, he’s been told all of this by Yamate”, she spoke, looking back down to her computer, “And the difference between solar and Ki is Ki is life energy converted into concentrated plasma energy, a heated gas that carries a charge and can be converted into a solid force. Think of lightning, if you will. Solar energy, on the other hand, is powerful electromagnetic radiation produced through the emission of gamma rays…you know, ultraviolet radiation. It is naturally incredibly hot but unlike Ki, it has the power to create a reaction in living cells through conversion into energy whether positively or negatively. Basically it can either feed life or mutate it. What the Beastman uses may possibly be able to cause mutations or regenerate cells, but so far he seems to only use it to regenerate himself and has no mutagenic effects on his body. Basically, what I’ve theorised from that, is the Beastman can create concentrated solar energy powerful enough to essentially vaporise every single aspect of those creatures over what Ki can do. Ki can be strong enough to vaporise their body, but there’s something it’s unable to destroy that maybe only ultraviolet radiation can penetrate if what Krom says is true. I don’t know why only a living creature can perform this task over a machine, though…”

"You say that, but I'm sure you do care. We could give you so many drugs that you'd be in a dreamlike state, but it would fix you. The issue there however is glaringly obvious, you'd be barely conscious or control of yourself, it'd be no better than where we are now. At least now you're aware of things," Aito explained, "Then there is also the potential of medicine making you sick, something we've deliberated on and avoided several times for running the risk. We might solve one problem with a pill, but it could create another, hence our hesitation." If they were going to fix things for Viral then they had to be as close to absolutely certain it wouldn't have any serious side effects, otherwise they were trading one problem for another. There was no shortage of desire to help him either, it was just pills and serums didn't seem like the way to go, or the only way as it were. "As for curing you? Well... After running some exams on your genetic coding, it seems that it has begun repairing itself. The serum we provided you wasn't just to stabilize, admittedly, but it contained a few proteins we hoped might help. While it hasn't fixed every single gene, we've gotten, I'd say... 45% of them currently under repair. I know it's hardly what you'd like to hear, but it's significant progress. If we can synthesize a few more, add them to the serum... I'd say by the week's end, 70% of your genes could be repaired, and within 10 days only roughly a quarter would remain in need of fixing." Smiling, Aito crouched down and folded his arms across his knees, looking at Viral with a thoughtful smirk, "And you thought we weren't doing anything."

Takeshi had, obviously, been kidding when he'd said he'd give Shu a wedgie. So when his younger brother started freaking out a little over it he looked at the kid abashed, letting out a sigh before smiling exasperatedly. "You aren't going to be alone buddy, and I won't actually hurt you, relax. It was a joke, get it? Maybe not a very good one... But I was kidding." Was everything he said going to be taken literally? Maybe for now he ought to just talk straight, otherwise Shu was going to panic every time he opened his mouth. "T'charrl is going to be happy to see you buddy, I bet he misses you. They'll be taking really good care of him right about now, and Vegeta's helping him learn, so I bet he's in a good mood too!" the older boy said, trying to perk his sibling up again. Looking back with a smile he gave Shu's leg a reassuring pat, bouncing him up slightly as well and ignoring the pain that shot through his wounds as he did so. "Maybe we can teach you how to read, would that be fun? Then we can check out all the books they have here!" There wasn't a terribly large amount of enthusiasm in that plan, as Takeshi was never exactly an avid reader himself. Vegeta seemed to like books though, and some of the crew on the ship read a lot, so there had to be something to it.

Sasha wasn't keen on just standing by idly and watching Kiton sit around, she'd rather do something if it could be helped. Going into town had been a stretch, admittedly, though she figured she'd try making the offer just to see if he'd like it. He was fine for food too, which was just as well as she'd had a meal not long ago herself. So what did that leave them then? "Hm? You think I can't train with you?" she asked curiously, glancing down at Kiton where he sat. A small smile crept to her lips at that remark, and without another word she reached down and grabbed him by his arm, pulling the Frost Demon to his feet. Well then, they were going to have to see, weren't they? It may be true that she didn't have the raw capacity for power like Kiton did, but there was more than just outright brute strength that went into a battle. At any rate they would be sparring, not fighting, so it came down more to just technique than anything. Pulling him along, Sasha dragged him right out of the recreational room, past a good many soldiers and staff on their way to the gym. The room in question was a spacious, high ceiling space with matted floors, various machines along the walls, and ample room for all sorts of activity in the center. Being the middle of the day most people were busy with their duties, so upon entering there was but a handful of people inside. "Normally I wouldn't fight someone who's been injured, but you seem sure that you can still beat me," she spoke playfully, pushing him ahead of herself before holding out a fist to him, "And I might not be one of the strongest rebels, but I know my way around a fight. If you think you're up to it, I'll gladly train with you."

Korian honestly knew very little about Viral's innerworkings, only having the basis for what he was really. Information had been provided here and there on the Beastman, but most was too technical to stick, and the rest seemed unsubstantial and irrelevant. His understanding then of solar-based energy was, at best, minimal; he knew Ki to be life energy, energy that was equivalent to plasma, he was perfectly aware of that. So the former bit of Sayomi's explanation sat fine with him, even if it was a bit too word-heavy for his liking. Viral's energy on the other hand proved to be a bit more puzzling, and her technical way of explaining it had him somewhat lost. "So... One is essentially a superheated gas, and the other is radiation... Okay, I can see the difference then. Sort of," Korian mumbled through his confusion, trying to make absolute sense of it. That still didn't quite explain why Ki couldn't destroy the creatures but Viral's power could, and Sayomi didn't even sound wholly certain of it herself. "I see... I can't understand why we're unable to make weapons for this either. I'd think that electromagnetic... Er, radiation, could be produced with the right tools, we should be able to develop weapons around it. We can make plasma-based blasters and blades, so I fail to see why the other is out of the question." They might be able to enlist Vegeta's help in this matter, but then he was busy with Viral as of late. If not the boy then surely one of the Uuonians could create it, they were far more technically advanced than most.

Viral was fine with running risks if it meant he was going to get better, even if his mental state wouldn’t be in the best of conditions. He was sure he would be fine once his genes were fixed, feeling like his mental state was hardly something he should be worrying so much over anyway. If he could get over the fact that he wasn’t slowly dying then he would be okay with everything else, even if the nightmares were pretty intense and the flashbacks constantly bothered him. He would happily take medicine that made him delusional if it meant he was going to not die for a little while longer. “More like you don’t want me to become a drug addict on top of everything else. So long as the pain goes, I don’t care what else happens to me”. Viral didn’t really care about his body, he just wanted to get back into the action again and not slow everyone down all the time. Listening to Aito go on about his genes he felt a little lost, only knowing he was going to have even more injections over the coming days. When the final number of estimation came Viral looked thoroughly unimpressed, instead rolling over slowly again and letting out a sigh. “Great, good to know I’m going to be stuck here for that long”, he grumbled, not finding the result pleasing in the slightest, “Then on top of all that I’m going to be a weak bony mass. You know I have other things to worry about than your stupid smug face”.

Shu was a little scared that he was going to be punished for making a mistake, but Takeshi quickly rectified that threat by being playful about just kidding. He was sure he was going to be punished if he didn’t control himself by their next fight, but it seemed it was just a joke to try and make things better. Now Shu felt bad, feeling he was just making his brother annoyed or depressed because of his way of thinking. He had to be happy like Yumi told him to be so everyone else could be happy, feeling some sort of responsibility. Friend T’charrl…yeah, yeah I hope he good and feeling good. Friend really does like learning”, he spoke, forcing a little smile when Takeshi gave his leg a pat, looking back to him as he gave out his own plan of action. “Read? Ooh, I would like to read. I want to see books! I want to understand books. I want many things and have nice time with books like normal people do…”

Kiton didn’t really know what he was supposed to do with himself now other than keep checking the report to see whether Korian sold him out or not. Everything sounded fairly mediocre to him, but when Sasha decided to question him about training he sighed, looking away. “Well I just don’t think-ah!” Without warning he was dragged right off the chair and onto his feet, feeling like he had been assaulted before he was dragged off and away elsewhere. He was not happy to be pulled away like that and did wonder where he was being taken, but he didn’t feel much like questioning when there was so many people already staring him down on his way along. Letting out a groan, by the time they got to the room he was already sighing at the thought of what she must’ve been planning, frowning at the sight of all the equipment before looking up to Sasha again. Just his luck that he’d get stuck with someone like her, grunting as he was pushed ahead before turning around to face her with an annoyed look. “You serious? Maybe I should’ve been more enthusiastic about the food”, he sighed, moving into a more readied stance, “But fine, I guess. Don’t get all angry if I beat you, I don’t particularly want to go back into a cell”.

Sayomi tried to be pretty straight forward with what she was telling Korian, but as he went over it himself she couldn’t help but let out a light sigh. He was trying hard to understand it all but still came out with fairly simple conclusions to what she was talking about. It wasn’t that hard, at least in her eyes. “’Sort of’ means I’m probably going to get you reading up on it so you understand these creatures as well. I’m sure you don’t want someone like Krom being smarter than you when it comes to those abominations”. Maybe he just needed a little ego boost to be better than his rival, but who really knew when it came to him. When Korian questioned the construction of the weapons himself she looked back to her computer and went through her notes, trying to find a way to maybe explain what the problem was better. “It could very well be that the energy is too hot or concentrated to be handled by weapons, even if we did spend so much on protecting them from the force. Even plasma-based blasters can never compare to organic Ki. The question should be how we can possibly harness the power of a sun and how do we accomplish it without blowing this entire base sky high?”

"I suppose that's a blunt way of phrasing it, yes. Reliance on drugs may solve the problem but what if you come off them? Then we have withdrawals, the symptoms return, and they may even do so to a greater extent. Maybe with that in mind you can see why we want to use them in tandem with other treatments, rather than as a primary method." There wasn't an awful lot of need for all those pills anyways, not when they were making steady progress in regards to Viral's condition. Roughly another week until his genes were repaired, some unspecified amount of time after that for his body to fully recuperate, and then perhaps within a month his depression and anxiety could be stemmed. This was all of course provided nothing interfered with their work, which at this point Aito was determined beyond anything to ensure that did not happen. "You won't be a weak bony mass though, because you're going to be training," the doctor remarked, smiling as he tried to rebuke all of the Beastman's worries, "A week will come and go, and you'll begin to see notable improvements in your well-being, perhaps even by tomorrow. You should appreciate that you're recovering as quickly as you are, as in days past this sort of work would take months to do. I know you've suffered a long time, but just think: only a week until your body is stable, and then from there it all depends on how long until you're mentally settled. So remind me, what is so grim about this?"

Shy of telling Shu to quit being such a worrywart, Takeshi didn't know how else to calm his brother down. Sure getting mauled again was a little freaky, and he'd been a bit nervous to be near his brother, but seeing how harmless the little guy was now made him feel awfully silly in retrospect. Things like that happened rarely, and if they could ever actually get around to working on it then it'd never happen again. Granted doing so meant that he'd have to have some idea of what to even do, and right now he was completely clueless. June seemed to have some things in mind, but right now she was just following them along, not saying much. "Yeah, we can read and learn other stuff, it'll be fun... I guess," Takeshi said, smiling despite his own uncertainty. He'd never exactly classified learning as an enjoyable thing, more forcing himself to do so as not to be totally clueless. If that's what Shu wanted to do though then he'd give it another shot, earnest or otherwise. Wondering what June was thinking about all this, he glanced back at the lady curiously and found her staring at the two of them, like she was studying them or something. "Er... Do I have something on my back?" Takeshi asked, trying to figure out what she was looking at.

"Yes, your brother," June replied casually, smiling at the annoyed expression that appeared on Takeshi's face. No, she wasn't looking to see if there was something stuck on him, she was more watching how they interacted. Even someone with no training such as herself could pick out a few idiosyncrasies, like how they spoke to one another. Shu seemed desperate to live up to some standard and earn his brother's praise, and then Takeshi looked to want to help, but not know how. What they were doing had the best of intentions, but they were both a little... Clueless. "Shu? I was wondering... You don't know how to read or write, is that correct? Where'd you learn to speak then?" It was odd, he seemed to have some grasp on the spoken language, but not much else; even his knowledge of spoken language was iffy at best, he clearly needed more of an education.

Sasha didn't much care what they did, though when Kiton almost dismissed training with her she'd jumped for that. She hadn't had a real chance to fight during their last battle with that monster, and while she knew she'd not have killed it maybe she'd be able to show off her ability then. Dragging Kiton forcibly along to the gymnasium, she near threw him in ahead of her and closed the door promptly, making it clear what they were here for. Smiling as he talked a little smack she gave a shrug of her shoulders, raising her fists to get into a stance. "If you beat me, remember that. Don't assume this is going to be so easy," Sasha retorted, starting to slowly edge her way towards Kiton. Once there was barely two meters between them she paused for a moment, sizing up her opponent as she wondered how best to start. He had that tail of his to use too, which meant getting somewhere that he couldn't make use of the extra limb would be a good idea. But what was it's reach? Best to start careful, she didn't want to be caught off guard. Heading right on in then she closed the gap with a charge, reeling back one arm and throwing a straight, hard jab to just gauge how strong he might be at stopping her strikes.

"I did try, you can't fault me for not being as versed in this as you are," Korian said defensively, sighing as he placed his hands on his hips, "You're right though, I won't be outdone by Krom. I still don't trust him in the least, and while what he says supports some of our theories, I can't help but think there's still more to this than he's letting on. Its obvious we've got to prepare for whatever is coming, which means we have a lot to do." Recalling troops, bolstering defenses, running routine scouting missions to ensure no monsters were appearing. Given that Viral was the only individual who could truly kill these beasts, that meant they had to find an alternative. Weapons might not be feasible, which left them with a high need for solar power and not very many options. "If you're asking me those questions then you know you're going to come up short. I can't even begin to propose a weapon for that," Korian remarked reluctantly, glancing back at Sayomi briefly, "I have to wonder though... This 'gamma ray' business... Can we replicate that? Maybe we don't need something like a blaster, maybe we just have to figure out how to create rays like that. Is there something we can do? Fission? I bet if we ask the Uuonians they can help."

Viral would be content with not having too much on his mind because of the drugs, but Aito would never allow that to happen and Vegeta was against the entire situation after seeing what the drugs did to him. He didn’t know if he would become addicted, but even then an addiction would be easier to get rid of than how he was feeling right now. Time would pass pretty quickly, but as it stood it wasn’t an option. He would be alright with deadening his mind and allowing him to fully disregard life so long as it would fix everything else that was wrong with him. Finding it a little hard to not be angry with everything that was going on he did end up looking up a little bit when Aito told him he would be training, but sure enough he lay his head back down and sighed. “Yeah I was told about the…training, or rather the training that is actually physiotherapy. All I know is it’s going to be difficult with the chances of full recovery being very average. What’s grim is I’m very much going to be unable to fully recover, and even if I do manage somehow I have to go through all the damn training I had to do before all of this with my abilities. I was only just getting the hang of it all and then this happens. Just…this scheduling around me attempting to get stronger doesn’t give me much hope that I’ll manage to catch up. A week is still too long for me and knowing it’ll take even longer to fix things…I don’t know what I’m supposed to do”.

Shu was trying to lift his own spirits with all these plans again, knowing he was being watched when it came to his emotions. He didn’t mean to get all worried over hurting his brother, but it was a big deal to him that he was going to be okay after everything that happened. He was scared that he was pushing his brother further away from him whenever something bad happened. Maybe learning how to read would take his mind off the bad stuff, but he wasn’t so sure whether Takeshi would find it too boring or get really into it like he was wanting to be. Takeshi saying ‘I guess’ didn’t give him much of a positive vibe that it was what he wanted to do. Sighing lightly, he let out a squeak when June spoke, staring at her curiously. When it turned out there was a question being directed towards him he raised his shoulders, staring at her as if wondering if she was mocking him for not knowing how to read or write. “I-I learned from rescue people! I learn how to speak when they took me in, but took so long for me to learn how to speak that no time for read or write before tournament. Maybe I should had stayed longer, but…but then would never meet Takeshi…”

Kiton didn’t really care for her taunting and was alright with letting her deliver a few punches so she’d not feel he was too far out of her league. He knew how strong he was and he didn’t exactly see her out battling the monster, seeing how she was watching over him instead when he couldn’t even move. She might not enjoy going out and fighting big battles like that but enjoyed training, so without ending it too soon he was going to let her show him what she was made of, even if it did cause him further injury. “Yeah well, if you end up being all talk then you’ll be taking me straight to get the best food I can get around here. I haven’t had anything to eat in a long time”. Readying himself he watched her as she came close, trying to analyse what she was up to before she suddenly try to ram a punch right into him. Sidestepping briefly he moved down a little, throwing a chop around at her side given his smaller size. Everyone around here except for the younger Saiyans were taller than him by a great deal so having a size advantage helped.

Sayomi sighed heavily in disapproval, finding Korian was acting a little silly. Just because he wasn’t understanding certain words didn’t mean she had to explain it several times over, he should be smart enough to guess the direction she was going in and maybe do a little research himself later. She too didn’t know how much Krom was hiding but there was certain things she was willing to guess he didn’t have great knowledge on, or maybe it was his assumption that they would use it against him that was preventing him from speaking about it. Who knew how that man’s mind worked, but he guessed it wouldn’t be too far off what Korian was like. “Well, maybe he’ll tell the boys something and they’ll inform us”. She had a lot on her mind but making plans wasn’t quite up there on the list just yet. Hoping maybe Korian would have something on his mind that might help she frowned when he came up with basically nothing, looking away briefly before down at her computer. “There is that possibility, but the worst and most possible outcome would be we come home with a bunch of mutants or people suffering from mild radiation poisoning and burns. There’s something in the way the Beastman uses the energy that nulls those effects and allows him to use it as a weapon. I doubt he’d know anything but there’s no harm in asking his smarter friends for some ideas as to how we might be able to create a weapon based on his energy”.

Even with having something relative to a schedule now, Viral was still hard pressed to be optimistic. One couldn't fault him for that, it had been ages since he'd been healthy, and the concept of recovery seemed foreign even now. It was the hope of Aito then that once recognizable changes were made, and his condition did improve, that the Beastman would perk up somewhat. It would be a week's time before there was any sharp or great strides, but he should still expect gradual improvements over the coming days. "Look at it this way though: you have exponential growth potential, you can strengthen yourself perhaps faster than even a Saiyan, when given the proper training. So yes, the first few days of training will be dedicated to restoring previous strength, that cannot be avoided," the doctor began, smiling as he leaned over and gave Viral a small pat on the back, "After that however, the sky is literally the limit. We can hasten your training given your physical well-being, and we can have you as a high class warrior in no time. Don't be so disheartened, what you may think of as a long period of recovery really is miraculously quick, and restoring your strength? Just as fast, perhaps even quicker given the resources we have here. Given the chance to collaborate with the Uuonians, we've been able to hasten this process quite a lot, and there may yet still be more we can do." Aito was quite excited at this entire process, if the enthusiasm didn't come through in his tone already. Viral would recover, that was no longer an uncertainty, they had the means and methods to do so, all in place. Even the time needed was beginning to dwindle, and within days they may have it down to a science. If nothing disrupted them, Viral would be well again before he knew it.

"Oh? Well that was very nice of them. They did a very good job too, since it seems like you weren't there for long," June replied, "Really, just you understanding the language means a lot. If you didn't know the language, even the basics, then how could you ever learn to read or write? The way I see it, you're already prepared to learn, you just need the chance to." She hoped to build Shu up a little by telling him this, and it was more or less the truth. It was somewhat similar to when Vegeta was growing up, how he learned to speak on basic terms before anything else. Even the most intelligent had to get a grasp of the language before moving on to other ideas, and Shu looked to have that down. Folding her hands at her back, June looked ahead as they walked side by side, looking forward to sitting in on the lesson. "I don't know either of you that well, but you know what? The way I see it, everything has a reason for happening. You left early to meet your brother, even if you didn't know it. And now? Everyone's together again, and everyone's going to become stronger for it. Maybe the road here wasn't as smooth as we wanted it to be, but things will only get better from here on out. Funny how the world works sometimes, isn't it?" The good and the bad, things happened for some reason or another, that's how life seemed to unfold. June had been assigned to Volkov to meet Aito, she had borne Vegeta to have him watch over Capsule Corporation after Aito and her deaths, and they met now once again to help them along. Was it always easy? Not at all, but things had gone well even after all the negatives.

Takeshi had never put much stock into that, the whole 'everything happens for a reason' business. Far as he was concerned things happened because of what they did, or didn't do. He'd done plenty of bad things, and he'd not done a ton of things he should have done, it seemed pretty obvious for him. June was probably into that whole 'fate' stuff too, which just seemed like a bunch of crazy business. "Hm... Meant to happen? If you say so," the Prince murmured, smirking amused as he glanced sidelong at June, "Whoever's running that then deserves a kick in the ass, because they've been dealing us a really lousy hand lately." So was she saying that things were meant to be bad, then get better? Okay, he'd buy into that a bit, it was nice to think that things would improve after they got lousy. Only problem for their group? Things had gotten bad, then worse, and worse, and it was still hard to see it getting better this very moment. It was just another lull in the fighting, everyone was back in the hospital and the war was still going on, nothing really had changed. Letting out a sigh, Takeshi shook his head and glanced back at Shu, smiling slightly as he did so. "All I know is we both chose to go to the tournament that day, and we met each other because of that. Then this little guy followed me around until I accepted him as a little brother, and now I'd do anything for him. Sounds more like choice to me, but whatever, maybe it was meant to happen too."

Sasha wasn't wholly sure how to fight Kiton just yet, barely having witnessed him in combat and never having fought a Frost Demon before. He was likely stronger than her, that was a given, even while he was injured. That tail of his too would be problematic, she had to be quick and mindful of every movement to avoid getting hit or grabbed by that. So long as she kept light on her feet then she should be fine, maybe she could wrestle him down into submission without having to strike him at all. "I'll take you to eat either way, don't you worry about that," she replied, smiling as she took a stance as well, "I'll just get to brag how I beat a Frost Demon along the way." Making the first move she hurried in for a straight and simple jab, just trying to size up her opponent. No surprise that he sidestepped it easily, and then came in at her side with a chop aimed just below her ribs. Smirking, Sasha leaned back and ended up leaning over completely, her hands falling flat on the floor as she ducked under the chop, her body bent in an 'n' shape. Kicking up with her legs then she tried to land a kick on Kiton on the way up, flipping over and landing back on her feet, coming back in with a chop of her own aimed at his side, mimicking his own attack.

Korian couldn't really offer any suggestions for weaponry, he barely knew how the concept of electromagnetism worked. He was more a fighter, not a scientist, he'd leave the development of such things to people who were made to do just that. Trying to even come up with something plausible only left him flustered and embarrassed, looking like a total buffoon in front of Sayomi. "I'm sure someone can be capable of developing what we need, don't you think? Look at all the great minds we have, it's only sensible that at least one person will have a breakthrough," the rebel leader mused aloud, "Or at the very least, everyone thinking together will come up with something. I'll accept that, at current, Viral is the only one of us who can actually kill these beasts for good. I refuse to believe however that we're incapable of developing something to help that." There had to be some way, the only limit was their own ingenuity, and Uuonians had that in droves. Pausing briefly as a secured point in the facility was opened up for them, Korian stepped through and into the public domain, stopping a short ways in and letting out a long winded sigh. "Even so... This changes everything. Calling back the troops, explaining it all, it's not going to be easy or fun. I don't suppose we've anyone in charge of public relations, do we? I think we're going to need them..."

Viral was starting to feel slightly better after taking the pill, but he didn’t know if he was going to end up sleeping anytime soon, especially with Aito constantly talking. He didn’t know if he wanted to sleep, he was certain he would probably end up having a terrible nightmare anyway despite their attempts. Feeling generally awful he didn’t take very kindly to the attempts to make him feel better about the process that was coming up soon. Sighing at his insistence to try and make everything better he shifted when his back was touched, not entirely in the correct mood for closer moments. “I don’t understand how you know any of this considering you were dead for most of my existence”, he muttered, closing his eyes momentarily, “Remember how I spent most of my time with you simply fooling around? I don’t know how you could possibly get statistics like that”.

Shu stared at June as she told him all this before giving a little smile, blushing as he hid his face in his arm. He was a little shy when it came to his ability to learn, even if he knew he was pretty good at it. He wasn’t sure how long it took for others to learn how to talk, he didn’t even know how they learned anything in the first place. I try really hard to do things! I do! I try”. Feeling a little happier with the compliment he stared at June as she spoke, rubbing his face into his arm. He didn’t fully understand what she was trying to say but it was nice that she thought that way of them both. To hear her talk about that made him curious to say the least, but he was pretty happy with not getting too deep into the subject. Listening to Takeshi he looked to Takeshi and gave a little smile, eventually burying his face into his back. “Ooh, anything? Shu feel happy when with Takeshi. Happy when not alone. Did not really know family until found Takeshi…”

Kiton was well prepared to defend himself first over attacking if he had to, but even then it was a good idea to see what Sasha could do before attacking. He was certain he would screw up if he just went straight in and expected her to bow down to him just because he was strong. He had fought plenty of warriors in the past to know to never underestimate someone’s abilities until he had fully worked out how they worked. “So you’re not going to be a good sport about this, huh?” After dodging her attack he went in with one himself, trying to see how well she’d dodge that in return. Finding it a little odd that she decided to duck in a rather strange way, watching her curiously before having to jump back when she kicked out of that instead with an odd flip. He didn’t know what she was doing but it was a little weird for him. “What’s the big deal? That’s hardly fighting…” he spoke up before having to sidestep a chop again. He didn’t like how this was going, he was going to get annoyed at this. Giving her a chance for now he went in again, throwing his first down before kicking forward in case she decided to do that bendy thing again.

Sayomi felt puzzled and a little annoyed that she didn’t really have much of a clue to how she was supposed to combat these monsters without weapons that could withstand the force of energy they had to release. It would be bad for them to ask the Beastman to join them just to use his energy just to gain an advantage. Korian was probably annoyed at it too, knowing he could do nothing but try and find a new method to take these creatures down. Sighing lightly at Korian’s optimism she couldn’t help but think it was because he didn’t know better when it came to high technology. “Well, if you think it’s worth trying then we’ll try and think of something. It is very high a possibility that we’ll just come up short, however. I hope you realise that”. Waiting for authorisation to pass through the checkpoint she made a glance to Korian before looking back. “I’m sure we can get the ones who are missing here promptly. Even though we lived through that, I would probably enjoy some time to recharge before we have another meeting. We’ve both been going non-stop since getting rid of those things”.

"How could I get statistics? Hm... Conjecture, running models, using accounts Vegeta took, various ways. I know what the treatments should produce, I know to a fairly certain degree your previous level of strength, so by using those data sets I can reasonably draw a conclusion on how you should progress after recovering." Aito explained, taking pause as he thought over what he said before chuckling, "Er... Putting it simply, I know how you used to be, and I know what our treatments should do, so I'm drawing my estimates based off of those." Everything was, at this point, an estimate. Without a hard, numerical value to attribute to Viral, there was no telling just how strong he truly was at any given point. The day of 'power levels' was long gone, as science had shown there was no accurate way to gauge these, and objects like scouters had largely been done away with. Now, if one sported one, it seemed more for communications than anything. Opting to give Viral a little space again, Aito moved a meter or so away before sitting down cross-legged, placing his hands on his knees as he let out a yawn. "Enough of that though, we can discuss treatment any time. Let's try resting again, hm?"

June's view on life didn't exactly gel with Takeshi, but he wasn't going to argue with her over it. If that's how she got through life, thinking everything had a reason, then fine, that was her thing. He much more preferred thinking that whether good or bad things all happened from what you did, not because of something as weird as fate or whatever. It wasn't fate he decided to be nice to Shu after a while, and it wasn't fate that made them close now. Exchanging a smile with the younger boy he perked up a bit, glad that Shu was able to be happy again. "Hey... Watch the cuddling squirt, you're making me embarrassed," Takeshi quipped, his cheeks flushing as he broke into a bashful grin, "I'm the same way though, I never knew what even having a friend was like until I met you, so imagine how I feel. I got a brother and a friend on the same day." This was way more emotional and feely then he was used to, and while it felt nice he couldn't help but feel self-aware of how gushy he was being. Glancing over at June his face reddened further when he saw her smiling at them dotingly, huffing and looking ahead, picking up the pace as they walked through the gates to the hospital. "Where are T'charrl and Vegeta anyways? They in T'charrl's room?"

"I would imagine so, I don't think your friend was running around earlier now was he?" June retorted, suppressing a laugh at egging on Takeshi. It was a little immature to push his buttons like that, but it was always fun to mess with the tough guy of the group. "Yes, they're in T'charrl's room, they should still be in fact. I just hope we're not interrupting any lessons by going in." She couldn't imagine anything they were going over being private, and she was positive Vegeta wouldn't mind teaching Shu in tandem with their alien friend. Waving to the staff as they walked through the lobby, June ushered the brothers into the elevator, wanting to be quick as opposed to taking the stairs. Fitting into the space with them she pressed the button for just the next floor up, the ride taking a very brief few seconds. Curiously, she noticed that Takeshi seemed to hold Shu closer during the lift and appeared to be talking to him to keep him calm, though she didn't get why. When the doors opened they were quick to step out too, and she followed after them with a puzzled look on her face.

"Good sport? You're the stronger one here, aren't you? Shouldn't you be the good sport and go easy on me?" Sasha joked, smirking as she deftly avoided Kiton's chop by leaning back. Most people simply jumped or dashed away, it was generally the best way to dodge attacks. When you could do what she could however, it was just as easy to twist and turn to escape being struck. Missing her kick as she flipped back up, she landed back on her feet with ease and smiled amused when the Frost Demon complained about her movements. "Of course it's fighting, it's just not a way you're used to." Coming back in with a chop of her own she missed by a fair amount, having to lean back and to the left to avoid a fist coming down on her. Spotting the leg coming out at her she reached out, placing her hand on the limb and jumping up, using Kiton's leg as a springboard as she sailed over him, landing on her toes behind him before quickly spinning on just her left foot, pulling her leg in before trying to kick him away in the small of his back.
