Viral just couldn’t find himself relating to the family aspect to get close to them at all, his mind pretty set on rejecting such claims for his own good. They wouldn’t be around all the time, they would eventually die off and he would be left with a simple memory, that is if he lived for long enough. If he was going to die soon then they would miss him like family if they regarded him as such, so making them hate him was generally the only option he really had. They shouldn’t have to miss him, it was easy enough for Takeshi to forget about him so the others should end up doing so too. He would have no one, but that was the best option for someone like him when he was so unstable both in mind and body. If he could just get up he’d go elsewhere, but as it was now even elevating himself a little would bring on an instant head rush and just cause his collapse.

Looking to Takeshi, he let out a grumble at his words as he slowly shook his head. He couldn’t understand why it mattered so much whether he was happy or not to them, they should concentrate on their own happiness while they still could, “Keep your focus off me, you should focus your thoughts elsewhere…then you won’t be so depressed over something like me”. They would all be a lot happier if they didn’t have to worry about him all day, they just needed to ignore him and they would all be happy. He was pretty sure they were just ‘caring’ about him because they wanted to feel bad about something, their general outlook being close enough to absolute happiness just wasn’t enough for them.

With Takeshi heading off, Viral looked around to give a quick look at him before his eyes were set on the food, feeling a little annoyed that he didn’t take it with him. He didn’t want it and even though the temptation was there, the thought of eating it simply managed to make him feel ill. He wasn’t afraid of it, he wasn’t a lowly coward who couldn’t handle some food; he just didn’t want to have to feel ill. Maybe he was afraid of it, he didn’t know, but even getting close to it just brought back unpleasant flashbacks and littered his mind with all sorts of nasty thoughts that just managed to make him feel dead inside. Slowly moving around, he managed to push the plate away with his foot before turning again and laying down, hoping to try and recover soon so he could walk by himself.

T’charrl nodded furiously before he pulled his hands to his chest, feeling the anticipation catch up with him. With no Kaesstrian ever making it out into space to fight against strong intergalactic warriors, he wondered just how much his strength would grow to compete with these aliens. While his powers did scare him a little, he was fairly confident that they wouldn’t end with him actually becoming his monstrous form but he wasn’t confident that his form would continue to alter. Even as he sat around the colours of his fur changed with his emotional state, something he didn’t have any control over but was definitely new; their colours depended on their lifestyle and how they grew up, not how they were feeling.

Giving a little smile when Vegeta spoke up, he let out a sigh and nodded, lowering his head a little, “Indeed, like mother and father always tell me”, he spoke, looking to his father quickly before back to Vegeta. He would definitely try and hone his healing ability the most, seeing as how it was the most useful to people yet also the most energy sapping of them all. He didn’t like how he had to take away energy from his friends to heal, but maybe as he got stronger he’d be able to hold a lot more energy for himself. His biggest worry was the orbs sticking out of him getting bigger or more abundant, but what he really wanted to investigate was why they were present and why they had grown.

With everyone fishing up and looking generally quite happy, T’charrl smiled happily down at his plate before standing up, giving his stomach a scratch, “Uhhh, t-thank you for the meal. I should go talk to the General with Takeshi”, he spoke, giving a quick nod, moving on out of the kitchen after Kabocha. The twins looked like they had decided to stay put while Kabocha was off to grab a snooze, leaving Takeshi being the only one who would probably want to still talk to the man before he was carted off to prison. His mother was outside still and she should be fine, but whether she would want to stick around for this would be up to her. Looking around to try and see where Takeshi had gone, he opted for sniffing out for him as his antennae moved around, eventually knocking on his door, “Uhh Takeshi, want to interrogate the General now while we can…?”

Takeshi stared up at the plastered ceiling idly, laid up in bed with his arms tucked behind his head. Right now he just didn't feel like doing a whole lot besides this, having been worn out today from all that had gone on. Physically he was recovering, and arguably fine now, but emotionally he was under a lot of duress. Having been healed and now in better health he could take a bit of solace in the fact Shu and Viral were going to be okay. The guilt of being the cause of it all in the first place hadn't vanished though, whether warranted or not. Speaking of the Beastman, the Saiyan now felt bad too for making his friend feel even worse. The whole matter of forgetting Viral being brought back into focus stung a lot, and altogether made for one rather lousy day. If he could just be left alone then until they were ready to take off then that would be fine by him. He could let things sink in a little while longer and perhaps get over it, for a lack of a better term. It would be the usual, with him suppressing things and keeping them to himself. With the exception of his little outburst in front of Viral moments ago. Takeshi just didn't do that, not regularly anyways. While it had felt relieving to get his feelings it also made him uncomfortably vulnerable. It was easier then, he reasoned, to keep things inside. Already determined to remain isolated for the time being he frowned when a knock came at the door. Not answering immediately there was a second knock, followed by T'charrl's voice.

"Yeah... We might as well..." Takeshi called back, still staring at the ceiling. "Be right out."

With a reluctant sigh Takeshi sat up, swinging his legs over the edge of the bed before standing himself up. He'd sort of lost his desire to go through with this, but he knew too he'd end up being curious if he didn't go now. Besides, he wanted answers for why they had been attacked too. After slipping his boots back on the Saiyan opened his door, offering a faint smile to the Prince before following him outside to where Yusef was. The General was still tied up as before, and now Eslaria, Garesh and Katas all stood around him. He had come to, looking like he'd just woken up, and didn't seem terribly thrilled to be there. The inclusion then of Takeshi and T'charrl only served to further increase his nervousness. There was a little smugness in seeing the man so unsettled like that, as he realized just how deep in it he now was. It was over for him and his little plans, and that fact looked to finally be dawning on him. If he thought things were bad now, just wait until they actually got to his sentencing.

"Good, so everyone is here then?" Eslaria asked, glancing around at her group. Nodding to herself then the Queen put all four hands on her hips, looking down at Yusef with a barely restrained hatred. "We'll serve as your judge, jury, and executioner, if it comes to that. You're being held for crimes against our people, for the murder of countless of innocents, and for trying to assassinate several key members of government, both on our side of things and your own. The odds are against you here, I'd say, General. Do you have anything at all to say in your defense?"

Yusef lifted up his head, glaring at Eslaria wordlessly. It was surprising, especially to T'charrl who had seen him before, how tired he looked now. Quite a bit of energy had been sapped from his body, and the after-effects of his injection had left him ragged. By no means was he dying, but he looked as though he'd aged about ten years in a matter of hours. He finally emitted a low, guttural sound that was akin to a growl, but besides that he said no more. The General knew it was over, like it or not, he'd not waste his breath begging for his life. Someone would take up his mantle, he was sure of it. There were plenty of men still loyal to him, plenty that would further his cause. If he died then so be it, it hardly mattered.

Eslaria sniffed in disgust, resisting the urge to slap the man before her. There was plenty of pent up aggression towards him, the least of which stemmed from him imprisoning her son. If they were going to do this right though they couldn't cause him any harm, not yet. Shaking her head in disbelief at the General she looked over to her husband, then to T'charrl, smiling faintly.

"He's going to stand trial once more, against our peers from both cities. It'll ultimately be their decision to sentence him, we're too personally connected to this. But... While we have him, is there anything you two wish to say to him?" the Queen asked, referring namely to her son and Takeshi.

Yumi heard plenty of chairs scraping across the floor as people left, paying little mind to it all as she washed away. Noticeably a few people had decided to stay, and she was a bit curious as to why that was. The twins were both here, and so was Shu, though one glance over her shoulder told her why the latter was still present. Smiling sympathetically in his direction she finished cleaning off another plate, grabbing a cloth and drying her hands as she walked over to the little Saiyan.

"Head hurting?" she asked, putting a hand on Shu's back and giving it a gentle rubbing. "You've got to remember to take it easy, for a little while anyways. Just because you can move around doesn't mean you should be bouncing, understand?" Smiling gently she leaned over, placing a light kiss on the top of his head before going back to the dishes. If anything was to happen to Shu now it'd be simply because he was incapable of being still for any longer than a minute. She almost wanted to tell him to go lie down, but when he'd spent the last hour or so doing just that she doubted he'd want to. Really so long as he didn't jostle himself at all he could walk around with no problem. That, and no fighting. Which considering his usually timid nature when it came to fights she doubted that would be nearly as much a problem.

"What are you two still doing here?" Yumi then asked, referring to the twins. "Need something? I can do this on my own, unless you really want to help me. I won't say no."

T’charrl was under some fair bit of worry over this interrogation, seeing as how much damage the General had caused to him and his people. There was a lot that had happened ever since he encountered the General so long ago, not all of its starting since earlier today when he was changed drastically. There was a lot he could ask that would otherwise make or break the interrogation if T’charrl got too emotional or personal during it, they had to identify when he was lying as well if it came to it. Watching as Takeshi finally emerged, he nodded and headed on outside to do what he needed to do.

He could eventually get his answers to why the General had been so interested in the energy and where he had learned about those who can harness it like him, he wanted to know more about his origins and more that his Grandmother couldn’t tell him. Feeling the anticipation building up until he let out a sigh, he arrived with his parents and Katas, his eyes on the General immediately and his poorly appearance. It looked like the energy abuse had done a number on his body and whether he would recover would definitely be a good question to ask. It made him a little worried over what he might become if he ever abused his energy and ran out of it like the General did, frowning a little at the thought of it.

Looking to his mother and father before down at the General, he crouched a little with his hand on the ground to act as balance, his legs still not quite being able to hold his weak on account of still having a little bit of a lack of recovered muscle there. Coming down to a reasonable level with this stance, he looked between his mother and the General, giving a little nod when he made his choice of questions and what ones were the most important, “I have a few questions…”

Looking down at the General he slowly pushed himself up, trying to stand tall against him, “You kidnapped me. You knew who I was and instead of killing me, you kept me alive and tortured me, most likely running tests on me to get me to use my powers. How did you figure that out? What do you know about my abilities that I don’t?”

The twins decided to hang around and clean up after everyone on the exception that neither of them wanted to nap and both of them preferring to be together for now, or rather Choi wanted to clean up and Kai decided on going along with it. Choi was fair happy to help clean up, there was a lot left to do before they went and waiting for T’charrl to be ready to consult the Otherworld had both of them feeling on edge to whether they’d hear him come back. It had been a long day, longer than some other planetary days with all this going on.

Shu had decided to stay put at the table, holding his head sorely until it all came back to him again. He hoped he’d recover from this fairly soon, he had been told he would probably need a day at the least so he was hoping that day would be fairly quick. Looking to Yumi as she approached him, he smiled at her before giving a little nod, “I know…it’s just so hard!” he squeaked, letting out a little giggle as well, “I hope I get better soon, I do thank friend T’charrl for helping me move again”. Feeling happy as he was given a kiss, he let out a sigh and snuggled up on the chair, not caring for how solid it was and was just enjoying being able to move just now. Giving a quick look to Yumi, he smiled a little bit as his attention was taken to the twins, tilting his bandaged head slightly.

“Choi wanted to help out, I’m tagging along”, Kai shrugged, looking to his brother before letting out a sigh, continuing his cleaning up, “You know, the quicker we clean up, the sooner we’ll all be free to continue the day rather than sitting in the kitchen all day cleaning”.

Choi smiled a little, his cheeks going slightly red before he shrugged, “Heyyy I wanted to help, yeah, but that’s also because I’m bored!” he spoke, moving to the other side of the table, “Spent long enough fixing all of this up, so I just kinda wanted to clean it up too and get rid of it all. It’s no big deal, I’m happy to help…so long as you truly want us to help and not just saying that, I-I mean, nothing negative, just if it gets too cramped in here…”

But of course the Prince was going to question him now. Powerless to do anything and in a perfect position to be interrogated Yusef wasn't thrilled with his predicament. The boy wanted to know everything pretty much, and considering his position chances were the Prince was going to get it. Realistically if he divulged that information it wouldn't be of any harm to his cohorts, it was only further burying himself. As far as he was concerned he was already a dead man, so the General had no inhibitions there.

"I know quite a lot about your powers, boy..." Yusef replied in a raspy tone, letting out a short, harsh laugh. "Since you are all so keen on finding out I'll indulge you. Can't do any harm at this point..." Carefully adjusting himself about the General righted himself up, laying his head back against the trunk of the tree and staring at T'charrl coldly.

"Your powers aren't anything unusual really, as it turns out. Our people used to have them, nearly every single one of us in fact. Now... This was generations ago. It's how our planet became so prosperous, it was because people were literally one with nature. It's why we've been so fortunate when it comes to outside forces. Our planet does have a history with space... Though it was all with invaders. With the powers enabled to them by the planet itself they deterred everyone who tried to attack us. While we were stuck on our own world we never had to leave, not really. Everything was provided for our people, and we had the power to stand up for ourselves. It was a... Golden age, you could call it. There were advances in medicine that we don't have today, and even technologies we lack... After all... Do you even know where those pillars came from?" Yusef paused, smiling bitterly as he looked in the direction of one such pillar, finding it by the burst of energy being fired off. "Those were placed by our ancestors long ago, to enrich the atmosphere and spread the natural energies further. It's how the world flourished, and continues to do so."

"But... Like all good things it eventually came to an end. Heh... My team and I could never uncover precisely what happened to our ancestors, or why they lost their powers. Records that we've found mention other people briefly, but there's no indication that they were the cause of our downfall. As it seems however something killed near every single Kaesstrian capable of this power. A methodical massacre... And you think I'm a bad man..." Yusef gave a shake of his head, having to take a brief respite to catch his breath. Even just talking right now was tiresome, he was just that out of it.

"Out of the thousands of our people that were alive, perhaps... Two hundred remained. Those few rebuilt into what we have today, and were the ones that led to our separation as a peoples. There were those who, seeing the energy as something that brought ruin, settled in cities above ground. My people. Then there were those who clung to old ways, who thought the energy would bring salvation and one day redemption, your people. That rift has persisted to this day... And I feel it will still. While it was thought that all of the energy users were wiped out by this event, clearly a few survived, otherwise you'd not be what you are. I've never been able to figure out what grants only some of our people these abilities now and not others..."

"As for how I picked you out... Well, informants were helpful in that area," Yusef mused, grinning triumphantly. "They're all dead now, of course, courtesy of your dear mother. But I found what I needed to. A little bit of eavesdropping and some spying confirmed their reports, and a careless display on your part gave me all the proof I needed. You know the rest, Prince T'charrl... Though I don't know how much you may recall vividly. You were in a bad sorts for the duration of your stay..." Getting a violent second wind the General abruptly thrust himself forward, smiling widely as he looked at T'charrl, his eyes wide. "I was so close to rekindling what our people had lost! We were going to become powerful again! We'd not have to rely on this single, lonesome world for everything, we'd have the strength to travel among the stars. But now... Now that is gone, because you were too selfish to use your power for the greater good! You refused to-"

Takeshi had heard more than enough of Yusef going on and on. With really no rhyme or reason he stepped forward, lifting a hand and bringing it across the General's face. It wasn't that hard of a strike, but enough that the Kaesstrian let out a pained groan, instantly clamming up. The Saiyan then leaned down, grabbing the man's shoulders and pressed him against the trunk of the tree, glowering at him angrily.

"The only selfish thing is what you tried to do. You were going to use that power for yourself, don't lie! And you were willing to kill a lot of innocent people just to get your way!" Takeshi snapped, throwing Yusef back down against the ground. "Including my brother and my friend! You're not kidding anyone but yourself here, creep. Your people will get their power back if they're meant to, simple as that. No psycho is going to play god and do it themselves, meaning you."

"Psycho...? Is that what I am to you...?" Yusef asked, looking up at Takeshi and grinning. Probably for his own good the restraints were undone, and Katas and Garesh subsequently lifted him to his feet, securing his arms behind his back. "I know the truth of our people, I'm enlightened! I know what we need, and the rest of you are too blind to realize it!" At the Queen's word the General was being walked away, off towards the city surprisingly enough. He wasn't done talking though, and continued to yell over his shoulder. "If I don't finish this work then someone else will! We are going to regain our powers, and we will rise again! You people can't stop it, no one can! The wheels have been set in motion already!"

Yumi smiled at Shu adoringly as she went back to her chores. It was nice seeing him in such high spirits again, sitting still and being somber really didn't suit him all too well. Satisfied that he was feeling alright now she then turned her attention to the twins, wondering just why they were still hanging around. When she asked she was a little surprised that they were offering to help, even if she did kind of hint at them doing so anyways. Looking at Kai and then Choi she smiled, noting the curious little blush that the latter was sporting. Lifting her shoulders in a shrug she continued the task at hand, flicking one of her ears to try and ward off an itch.

"I'm not going to say no if you two do help, you know." the Beastman mused, smiling thoughtfully. "If one of you wants to get over here and dry things, that would be a ton of help. Then whoever else is left can clear plates off in the garbage and give them to me. Think you two can handle that?" Yumi asked, glancing over at the two teasingly.

T’charrl was willing to be patient with the man, he wanted to know all that he had learned about his powers and wanted to know just exactly how they worked. He was definitely confused and lacked any true understanding of them, but at most he wanted to know if they were completely natural or something that was brought on when he was young without his parents knowing. Lowering himself a little, he kept his eyes on the General, not pleased that he had started off with a laugh in regards to his powers.

Narrowing his gaze a little, he found it odd to hear of this background in regards to their people, something that was almost completely hidden it seemed with the exception that the General managed to find out about it. It was strange hearing about it, knowing that there was many people out there who once had the same abilities he did. It was a little concerning; he didn’t know if his people were warmongers with this power or they all respected it like he respected his own. Frowning a little, he looked down to his hands, feeling a little concerned that there was once a bunch of monsters running around too as they misused their powers.

T’charrl looked back to the General as he continued on, staring down at him at the mention of a massacre. It made him worry, knowing that this was probably still held in the minds of those alive today as the ancestors who lived after that would had made it the taboo it was today. He worried that they would want to kill him off if they knew he could do this, but maybe out of that as the General continued on it definitely sounded as if the powers were somehow coming back after so many generations. There must had been others his age who possibly had the same powers as he, but hopefully would never go to the extreme his powers had.

Feeling a little insecure after all that, he gave the general a good glaring at when he decided to get all high and mighty in his position right up until Takeshi slapped him one. Looking to Takeshi quickly before he let out a sigh, he let Takeshi speak and slowly moved back, watching Yusef get picked up by his father and Katas so he could be lead back to the city. He was a little disappointed; while he had gotten the answers about his powers’ origins, he was still confused over other matters no matter how much he tried to feel secure about it.

Frowning a little as Yusef was led away, he rubbed his arms together and looked to the ground, feeling somewhat unhappy again. There must had been more out there concerning his powers and where they had taken him, but it didn’t appear as if the General would know either concerning how dead set he was upon wanting such power, “My answer’s only been half-received. I still have concerns”, he frowned, rubbing his claws together, “Why did they do this to me, for example? Why did they alter me? Am I in danger of being further altered the stronger they become? It’s still so cloudy…”

Kai was a little suspicious about his brother and his growing interest in talking to Yumi, raising an eyebrow at the sight of his expression. He seemed pretty happy, as if he had never spoken to a girl before and it was definitely slightly concerning if it was this much of a distraction to him. Sighing a little, he gave a quick look to Shu before cleaning up around him, making sure not to bump his head and cause further discomfort, “No problem. Choi?”

“I’ll dry! I’ll dry”, Choi announced, moving over to the sink happily and grabbed a towel, “Gotta wonder who would use this place next, huh? I mean, heh, who was here first? Who are we cleaning for? We could easily burn down the house if we wanted!” Letting out a nervous laugh before diverting his attention back to the plates, he let out a sigh, rolling his shoulders a little, “Then again with that big tree and probably some people becoming affected by it, I guess a few open homes is needed. Wonder if our father would stay here until we can get a permanent residence for him, then again, we should probably get some scouters for them first so they can understand these aliens too, you know? T’charrl doesn’t speak the common language, considering we’ve been using the scouters all this time”.

"Hey, no reason to get down on yourself," Takeshi said gently, smiling as he gave T'charrl a pat on the back. "We'll get answers sooner or later, he's bound to spill it all. Especially if he's just going to be locked up, there's going to be loads of time to tell everyone what he knows."

What a strange little race the Kaesstrians were turning out to be. If this power that the Prince had used to be dominant, and apparently hereditary, then it was safe to guess that there was more people with it. They had most likely kept it hidden better however, unless the General had already gotten to them. That was something Takeshi wouldn't mind having answered either. This whole unknown force that had wiped out nearly all of their ancestors, what had that been? If their forefathers had been as powerful as T'charrl had been earlier than it would have been no easy task to beat them, not in a battle. Perhaps it was a natural cause then and not war? Of course that in of itself raised more questions, only furthering to add to the confusion. But, it also gave the Saiyan a little epiphany, bringing a wider smile to his face.

"Hey... How do you suppose the General found out about all of this?" Takeshi asked, looking between T'charrl and Eslaria. "He had to have read it somewhere, there's no way that he'd be able to find it out otherwise! You could find the books he used to learn what he did, and fill in the holes from there. I mean if that maniac could do it then you definitely can."

"Provided the books are still around, and in one piece," Eslaria pointed out. "But... That may be very possible. Now that he's in custody we'll have free reign to search over his quarters, and anywhere he may have stored information. I would bet in one of his research centers we can find hints at what he knew, and we can put things together from that point on. Given enough time I'm certain we can recover enough to understand what all of this is about. What's more, there's bound to be at least one other person who knew something, assuming that Yusef didn't keep it all to himself. We don't need to get everything from the General if that's the case though." The Queen then smiled at her son, stepping closer to him to give his head a gentle ruffling. "Once you are through helping your friends and they've been seen off we can get started on our research, provided you're up for it. I'm willing to devote as much time as necessary to get the answers you want."

Yumi smiled gratefully as the twins got to work, busying herself still with the washing. They were surprisingly agreeable for someone who she wanted to beat up before, it was a nice surprise. It was a chore and a half getting anyone else to do this kind of work, so having them around was definitely helpful. Off to her side it sounded like Choi was trying to strike up some conversation with her, and having a fair hard time with it. Earnestly puzzled by what he was getting at she kept quiet as he spoke, though unable to suppress the amused smile across her lips. Had the Saiyan never spoken to a girl before? He seemed to have no problems with her before, and now he was tripping over his own tongue trying to talk. Hearing him ramble on for a moment Yumi finally looked over at him, smiling amused as she shook her head.

"I don't know if this is the best place for your father really, Choi. I mean... The General is done, but there's going to be a lot of fighting going on before things really settle down. It won't do him any good to be put in a different war zone now will it?" Yumi gave the dish in her hands a good rinsing before handing it over, giggling softly. "And I don't think burning the house down is really such a good idea either. It's not ours, and we probably could get away with it, but it's got to be someone's home. Would you want your house ruined? Heck, for all we know the real residents of this place are locked up somewhere, the General was the one that gave us this place after all. Poor people..." It was an unfounded concern, none of them really knew what the story with this home was. Maybe they should have thought to ask before. "I suppose I ought to thank you two, while you're here. For helping us and all. And keeping T'charrl safe, that too. You two did a good thing today and we're grateful for it."

T’charrl looked to Takeshi before he sighed, giving a little nod in acknowledgement. He was trying not to do that, but it was awfully difficult when he had so many questions to try and figure out himself. It was a little sad; Takeshi had himself figured out because there was potentially thousands like him but T’charrl only had himself to question, his own fate a mystery. There had to be some people out there who knew enough of his powers and knew why he had been changed, but then again having them all wiped out and the power only rising again with him and potentially other kids his knowledge would be incredibly scarce when other kids would be as clueless as him.

Looking to Takeshi as he spoke up again, he frowned a little and gave his mother a quick look to see what she had to say. It was definitely most likely books, but he didn’t know how the man had found out about him. He never really used his powers unless he was at home and alone, his talking to the dead was simply something that he thought was normal for a while until he got told off for talking to imaginary friends. Pressing his claws together, he looked back to his mother and gave a little nod, closing his eyes when his fur was ruffled, “Uhh, umm…y-yeah, about that…”

He didn’t know how to tell his mother other than coming straight out with him, yet he was still a little nervous about it. Looking to Takeshi before back to his mother, he nervously smiled at her before frowning, “…They asked me to go with them so I can…umm, learn to control and hone my powers”, he spoke, slowly rubbing his neck, “I want to go…a-and Katas said he’d fix something up so we can keep in touch. I don’t want to be a danger to people, I don’t even know how I’m controlling myself right now and I want to know how and why this happens. You understand, right…? Maybe you can do that for me while I’m learning to control myself…?”

Kai couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at Choi, giving him a funny look as he cleaned up everything so they could throw it out. The guy was acting strange, but it wasn’t anything that he had to be worried over. It was as if he had never spoken to someone else before and was completely going mental with his thought process and spewing it all out at once. Letting out a little sigh, he moved along and tried to ignore it, seeing as how the guy was generally a bit mental when it came to talking to other people.

Choi nervously smiled, giving his face a quick wipe with the towel, “Oh heheh, yeah, I guess you’re right about that! I’ve never had a house so I wouldn’t know, but it must be nice if it’s like this, unless houses are different elsewhere, but hell I don’t know”, he chuckled nervously, letting out a sigh and looking down to the dishes, “Thinking in military terms, it’s most likely they were kicked out of their house because of the proximity of the forest to the house. I mean, think about it; they could had been holding secret meetings or harbouring fugitives. They’re probably either in a prison under assumptions or shoved on the streets”.

With all that thought aside, Yumi gave them their thanks for providing protection to T’charrl, a little smiling coming onto Choi’s face before he spoke up, leaving Kai a little confused to why he didn’t let him speak up instead, “S-Sure! Well you know, it was our duty”, he spoke quickly, chuckling a little, “Kabocha was on the front line, we were mainly there as witnesses and to guard our escort. Even the guards were suspicious about the General! He didn’t really have much trust anywhere”.

Eslaria didn't know quite what to say to her son about his plans. Travel with his friends? She was all for him socializing, and would encourage it, but maybe not quite in the way that he proposed it. In a way it made sense, she knew that none of them were familiar with his abilities. Whereas his friends, especially Yumi and Shu, had already demonstrated to some degree they had the same powers, it made complete sense for him to go off. Still, that didn't mean the Queen was overly keen on seeing her child leave. Even if he stayed and took over ruling she'd still be at his side, something she rather liked the idea of. This way though she'd have no means of knowing how he was fairing. She trusted the Saiyans, sure, but they couldn't keep him completely safe. The addition of radios offered little condolences, and her expression was showing very clear uncertainty over the idea. So her husband and Katas were in on it too by the sounds of things, she was the only one that didn't know of it yet. Even if she were to say no chances were T'charrl would go anyways, that was clear. So why should she bother even answering? She didn't want him to leave, but in a way he had to, it was for his own good.

"He will be okay with us, Your Majesty," Takeshi added, smiling confidently. "We'd sooner let ourselves get hurt then have anything happen to him, you can count on us for that much. We'll show him how to use his powers, one way or another, and he'll come home completely in control of them." Reaching up he clasped a hand on T'charrl's back, smiling up at the Prince. "He's already shown he's tough as hell anyways, so I don't think there's a lot of reason to worry about him anyways."

"You're absolutely certain this is what you want, T'charrl...?" the Queen asked, looking at her son torn. "I won't stop you from doing it, but... Think it over carefully, will you? Maybe... Maybe there's something in the books that can help us? Whose to say that they'll be able to help you learn control anyways? You could go off with them and never be any better for it, and have wasted time. It might be best to just stay here, and let us help you..."

"I really hope they weren't kicked out... It makes me feel bad then that someone might be homeless right now, and we're living it up in this place in their stead," Yumi remarked, frowning as her ears folded down sadly. "When we're done, before we leave, we've got to find out who lives here. I want to try and bring the people home, if they're still around. It doesn't seem fair at all that this is someone's house and we essentially stole it." Choi offered a... Unique view on things, one that she wasn't so sure she was keen on. Considering the man who had been in power it seemed like a likely explanation, all things aside.

Handing over the final plate to Choi the Beastman grabbed up her own rag, carefully drying her hands with a soft hum.

"At least you're being honest about it. Though I know you two must have fought too, I don't see you being content with sitting on the sides." Yumi dropped her rag onto the counter, turning her back to it and leaning up against it. Giving Choi a curious look she smiled gently, crossing her arms and leaning over, playfully bumping her shoulder against his as he worked. "So that jerk had doubters before we even went into action, huh? Maybe it won't be such a problem getting things under control then. If more people than us suspected something was wrong it shouldn't take a whole lot to prove they were right. I guess the only problematic people are going to be the ones who were fiercely loyal to him. But... I'd guess they're far and few between, so shouldn't be a big issue for these people to round them up."

"You know... I'm glad to say that trust isn't an issue here." Smiling softly Yumi reached over, putting a hand on Choi's shoulder and giving it a small pat, looking to his brother as well. "I... Was wrong about you three. You're decent people in a bad situation, I can't really blame you for what happened. Besides... I only have some different ears. Well... And sharper canines... And my senses are stronger than before..." Shaking her head she piped up again, looking back to Choi cheerfully. "Point is that I'm okay in the end, and you guys are finally going to be free from that king of yours. So it didn't turn out too badly."

T’charrl was definitely nervous, his mind feeling as if it was struggling with the idea of going off on his own still but his heart was definitely in for it. He would miss close contact with his mother and her comforting talks and hits once in a while to show that she cared, but he knew she would be alright without him for a while. It wasn’t as if he wouldn’t be coming back, but it may end up being a while before he did; Kaesstrians lived long lives compared to the Saiyans, he knew there was still plenty of time to get back and rise up as the ruling head his mother wanted him to be. Just now the people probably wouldn’t accept him if he had no control, but with his power he knew he could protect and help heal the nation.

Looking to Takeshi as he spoke up for him, he smiled a little before turning back to his mother, lowering his head a little submissively. He hoped his mother would understand, plus it wouldn’t be so bad with the possibility of communication between them every so often. Frowning a little as she spoke, he looked away as he rubbed his claws together, “But if I stay here, I’m a danger to others and myself. I’d hate to ever hurt you, father or anyone accidentally because I can’t control myself”, he sighed, looking back to her, “I would never learn to be a good leader if I remain in hiding because there’s no way for me to let off steam and try to conquer my powers. I want to return a good leader, someone who can control such power and be able to use it to defend my people and possibly extend our connections. I’m scared…and being around people I fear for can’t be good for me, right…?”

Choi shook his head, shrugging a little, “I highly doubt they’d have been suffering for long, I mean…how long have you been here? We chased your signal because it stopped near where we were stationed and it didn’t take long for us to get here either, even with a poor signal”, he smiled only to gasp a little when she bumped him gently, a grin showing on his face before he quickly looked away. This was definitely the most contact he has had with a female that didn’t want to bite his head off, but he genuinely didn’t know how to react to it. He didn’t want to insult her by shunning it, that was for sure, “Heh…we did fight, but we were there as backup considering Kabocha is naturally stronger than us…even if Kai doesn’t like to admit it. Maybe they knew something was wrong because all their men ended up dead? I’d be pretty suspicious if soldiers went to their deaths too!”

Kai was getting a little annoyed at Choi, but then again the guy didn’t speak much as it was for fear he’d be slapped for saying something stupid. Moving around Shu to clean up, he watched as Yumi placed a hand on Choi’s shoulder, seeing his expression become somewhat giddy despite the subject matter. It was odd, really, but it definitely showed that the guy knew nothing about how to handle idle conversation, especially with the opposite gender.

Choi slowly rubbed his neck, giving Yumi a quick nod before he let out a sigh, trying to calm himself down. He was probably looking like a complete idiot to Yumi, Kai or Shu; then again, Shu probably barely understood what emotions were running through him considering the boys almost feral personality, “Really? You think so…? Heh! You know the ears are kinda cute on you, so…” he spoke, twitching a little after, “Uhhh, not that you’re not a strong fighter still! Just uhh, well they’re better than big Saiyan ears! Heh…uhh, but…I guess so, we just don’t really know what to do with ourselves with the whole being free. We got told the basics, but still…what do soldiers do once they’re relieved of duty? Especially Saiyans! All we do is fight and want to fight!”

Again, Eslaria really hated to acknowledge it, but her son was right. It was in everyone's best interests, hers included, that they went on this journey together. It would mean that for the first time ever he'd be away from home, and really away, not just at a neighboring city. The concept of going off the planet was known to her, sure enough, but she couldn't fathom actually doing it. T'charrl seemed genuinely thrilled at the prospect of traveling, and it'd be selfish to deny him that just to keep herself happy. Relenting then she smiled at her son adoringly, nodding her head and folding her hands behind her back.

"If you put it that way I certainly can't keep you from it. If I tried to say otherwise it'd be out of my own selfish desires, and not what's best," Eslaria said, shaking her head. Looking up at T'charrl she smiled meekly, her eyes watering up slightly. "I know that it's for the best, and that you'll come out better for it. As your mother I can't help but worry about you still, and no radio contact is going to change how I feel about all of this. It's just not the same as having you here at my side. But... This is something you need to do, and I understand that. I'll not stop you. Still..."

The Queen took a step forward, smiling up tenderly at the Prince. Then, rather suddenly too she lifted a hand, giving her son a gentle smack upside the head, her expression hardening just slightly. "As your Queen, I demand that you come back. My plans for you remain, they'll just be postponed a little, that's all. We'll handle things here, your father and I, and wait for your return. I'd best see a strong, capable young man when you do come home."

Eslaria paused for a moment, getting on her toes and wrapping her arms around T'charrl in a tight hug. She held it for a long moment, closing her eyes and keeping the embrace for as long as she could. When she finally let go she gave him one last smile, her eyes glazing over as she wordlessly passed by, starting to walk off towards town. She had to go see to the General's sentencing, and all her doing by staying around would do was make things more difficult, for herself and for her son. Perhaps she would stop by to see them off, provided that she had the time to do so.

Takeshi watched as the Queen walked off, not sure what to make of their interaction. So that was what a mother was like. The lady wasn't as scary as he'd initially thought, and definitely had a soft side to her. Honestly, it made the Saiyan feel awfully envious of T'charrl for having someone like that in his life. Sure, there was Shu, and his friends, but those were different. A mother's care seemed to be... Something else, something that the others couldn't give. All the more reason then, he mused, to be done with all of these other distractions. He and Shu had still yet to meet their mother, and damn it all if they never were. As soon as they got the chance Takeshi fully intended to collect the Dragonballs again and finally get back to their original quest.

"You're one heck of a lucky guy..." Takeshi mumbled, smiling as he looked back at T'charrl. "Seriously, don't worry, we'll be back before you know it. And you'll have mastery of your powers then, so everything's going to work out."

Yumi opened her mouth to make a reply to Choi, instantly shutting it again as he complimented her. Well, she thought it was a compliment about her ears, which was a tad odd. Still, it made her cheeks turn a light pink, and she sheepishly itched at her nose, looking down at the floor. Then just to ruin the moment Choi began to ramble again, going off on a tangent that only served to confuse the Beastman a little. Puzzled she looked up at the Saiyan before rolling her eyes, smiling in exasperation as he tried to scramble and cover ground.

"Thanks for that... And I know I'm a strong fighter, I beat you didn't I?" she said teasingly, cocking her head to the side. "We're not done fighting yet, so don't get too comfortable. There's a long way to go until we're in the clear, and we still got to find a place for your parents to stay. Which... Now that I mention it, there's a small problem with this plan of ours..." Yumi bit her lip, looking between the twins before shifting her weight, embarrassed at not having thought of this before. "We can't fit everyone on our ship, not comfortably anyways. And there's definitely not enough supplies for everyone. So... How is this going to work then?"

T’charrl was doing this for good reason, especially when he was a danger to his people if he never learned how to control himself, his monstrous form proving to be the most dangerous aspect of his powers so far. He couldn’t risk himself or his parents; he knew he was going to grow stronger still and that would mean his other form would grow strong too. Keeping his head low, he glanced up at her a little, staring at her with a slight smile when she smiled back at him, coming to an understanding hopefully.

It was definitely a big deal that they were moving so quickly, but he still had that little bit of time to be with his family before they all set off when he still needed to contact Takeshi’s dead friend. Lowering his eyes a little, he nodded slowly, his hands remaining near his chest, “I’ll be okay…I swear it. I won’t disappoint you”, he spoke, knowing that would be pretty difficult to live up to when he had screwed up so much in the past; however, he had the slightest bit of confidence in himself still and that’s all that mattered.

Keeping silent as she walked up to him, he stared at her with a little smile on his face before he winced a little as she smacked his head, holding it meekly as if it really hurt. Lowering himself a little, he stared at her still with his hand on his head as he gave a nod, “I-I swear…I will! I’ll even learn how to change back…just for you…” he nodded quickly, looking away a little, “I’ll make you proud, I’ll make my family proud…I swear, I promise”.

Feeling a little more hopeful about his situation, he looked to her again just as she reached up, giving him a good squeeze of a hug. Pausing for a moment he slowly leaned down, giving her a tight hug in return. He would miss being able to do this, it would probably be a while before he managed to get home and this was probably one of the last hugs he was going to get. Being sure to get the most out of it, he frowned as she eventually let him go, watching as she slowly headed off to the city as he slowly gave her a wave, staring at her before he let out a sigh, lowering his head.

Feeling a little saddened for a moment, when Takeshi spoke his attention quickly went to him in an almost frightful manner as he was snapped out of his trail of thought. Raising his hand to his head, he slowly rubbed it and let out a little chuckle, “Heh…I-I guess, thanks”, he smiled a little, “It may not be absolute mastery, but still will try the best I can…and maybe eventually, I can find others who have this ability and figure out the secret to my people’s past. I hope they get back before we leave…”

Choi felt like he was screwing up on the chatting thing a little, seeing how her expression was constantly changing and he didn’t feel comfortable sometimes when speaking. He did try, but it was still a little difficult to think it through well without worrying that he was going to fail on the art of conversation completely, “Yeah I know, but still there’ll be less fighting for only our skins when we’ll have a whole new purpose. Don’t you think that’s exciting?”

Feeling a little confused over her next question, Choi looked to Kai before back to Yumi, “Uhhh, I thought we discussed this…? Unless you think the plan has changed, that is”, he spoke, shrugging a little, “The whole infiltration thing on the ship, remember? Uhhh, need to see if Viral can actually stand up long enough to drive the thing…and make sure he doesn’t have some crazy flashback and end up killing us all. We’d have to come back here to get the others on the ship after we drop off the King’s soldiers too. Easy enough, right?”

"We can always go into town to see them, if you want to." Takeshi suggested, shrugging before slipping his hands into his pant pockets. "I mean it's not like we're in a hurry to go anywhere once we've got their parents safe. I'm sure no one is going to mind if you see them one last time. And by how your mom sounded... I really doubt she'll be too upset if you come by one last time before we head out." Besides, there were still the logistics of their leaving to work out. It was going to be one heck of a group once the squad's parents were here, over ten people if he counted right. Their ship really wasn't all that big, and what they had for provisions was already kind of getting low. It was best they had some idea then of how they were going to handle their new numbers before they jumped into things. This was one matter Takeshi was positive not to rush blindly into.

"Ready to get back inside? We can see if they're ready to get their parents, provided you're all set to go." Takeshi paused for a moment, biting his lip as he looked down at his feet in thought. They could try talking to his and Shu's mother too, but... T'charrl could only talk to dead people. If it worked then that would mean the worst had come to pass, and they wouldn't really get a chance to be with their mom, ever. It'd bring a kind of closure, he figured, but that wasn't a kind of closure he was prepared for. Shaking the thought free from thought he smiled again, turning and heading towards the house. "Better now than never, right? I bet they're anxious to see their folks again, so no point in keeping them waiting."

Yumi could see to a degree why Choi might be excited. Even if they were still fighting it was now for a different reason, a reason of their choosing. They weren't pawns anymore, and they were doing what they wanted. It wasn't exactly peace, but it was freedom. For the first time in their lives presumably they were being given the chance to do what the pleased, and it only made sense that they might try to undo what their former ruler had wrought. Definitely payback for making their lives miserable, and she really couldn't discourage them from seeking it. The king, in the brief window she'd met him, was an absolutely awful man. She knew plenty about what had been done to the others too to understand that the man was pretty much heartless. The world definitely wasn't black and white, but the difference between them and the Saiyan king was as clear as that. The twins and their friend had opted to trade sides, and now they were fighting for the well-being of others, as opposed to just for themselves. That had to be the most refreshing feeling in the world, and definitely something that Yumi and the others had taken for granted. She couldn't well imagine what it must feel like, but she was definitely happy for them.

"Oh... Oh yeah!" Yumi exclaimed, smiling abashed as her cheeks flushed. "With all that was going on I had completely forgotten, sorry. Yeah, that sounds good to me. I just hope that Viral is feeling okay. He's doing better now, but a lot is relying on him here... And if something goes wrong he'll blame himself. I don't want him feeling any worse than he already is, he doesn't deserve that."

Well, there was a lot of potential for this plan of theirs to go wrong. Yumi really didn't want to think of the negatives, but getting into the bulk of it now there were plenty of chances for things to go awry. Foremost was definitely Viral and his inability to keep himself together to do his part. She couldn't dare say that to him, it'd ruin how he felt already, but it was a very real concern. Who knows what was waiting for them on the ship too. If an Elite was on board they could be in for one heck of a fight, and that fight may cause damage to the ship. A lot of good their little raid would do if their prize was crippled, they'd basically be back at square one. Plus they really couldn't afford to have anyone get hurt in any fights that ensued, and while taking over a ship that big it was almost guaranteed to happen. If it was just regular troops they'd be fine, she had beaten easily two dozen back on Earth. Anything worse, like other Saiyans or Elites, then they'd be in trouble. This line of thinking was bringing her mood down rather quickly, and she didn't like it. Wanting to pep herself up Yumi looked at Choi before smiling meekly, quickly jumping at him and wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug, giggling nervously.

"Everything is going to be okay..." Yumi mumbled, mostly for herself. "No one is going to get hurt, and we'll all make it out safe, I just know we will." Letting go after a second her cheeks flushed again, and a small, meek smile still lingered on her lips. "Sorry about that."

T’charrl could only decline Takeshi’s offer, shaking his head at the thought of going into the city, “I can’t, not like this…” he spoke, looking down at himself, “I look like something that walked out of a laboratory! Another reason why I can’t stay here; fitting in has become a whole lot harder”. Katas would still need to set up the radio anyway, so there would still be time for them to come back and see him off before he left. He’d definitely run into a few anxiety issues when he would eventually leave, but hopefully he would get over it if he had contact with his mother and could get updates and words of encouragement from her when he could.

Looking to Takeshi quickly, he gave a nod and looked to the house, sighing a little, “I am, I-I’m sorry if I’m causing any inconvenience with this all happening. I know you all want to get away from here soon and continue on with your own quest”. He would do what he needed to do before everything would be prepared here, but just now plans seemed to be diverted to giving Takeshi’s friends what they wanted. Giving a little nod, he moved back towards the house, rubbing his hip a little, “It should hopefully not take long, so long as you remind me of what he looks like. I mean…that picture you gave me was a little umm…difficult for me to decipher, being a different species and all…”

Choi was in fair anticipation mode right now, knowing his whole life was about to change completely as soon as he got his father back. Kai was probably feeling the same thing, it was hard to not be excited yet a little worried over the possibility of knowing what freedom was like. It’d be a massive culture shock, it would be as such for anyone and Kabocha was probably feeling it as well. Maybe after all of this they’d be able to take a nap and relax too. It was definitely frightening in a way, but eventually they would get over it and they would be able to see what it was like for themselves.

Smiling a little at the thought, Choi snapped out of it when Yumi suddenly spoke up, looking to her quickly before to his brother in a quick glance. It was a little odd that she had forgotten their plan when it was terribly important, but no big deal probably. Drying off his hands before he gave his chest a scratch, he nodded as his attention went to the window, “Doubt anything would go wrong, I think our biggest worry is of him getting a flashback and firing all the ammunition you might have at the ship in question. No big deal! The ship is highly durable, anyway”.

“I think my biggest worry would be the alien and him mutating on either ship”, Kai spoke up, relaxing now that all his work was done and everything was cleaned up, “I don’t know if you were told, but he became a monster after all that happened to him and it wasn’t really obvious to why it happened, so we’d be doomed if it happened on the smaller transporter as opposed to the large one when we could lock him up in one of the large cells…that’s another thing, there might be prisoners on board”.

Choi shook his head quickly to try and get Kai to stop talking, his eyes looking to Yumi as she began to mumble away all before he quickly moved to Shu. She was a little bit of a worry wart but she was sorting that out herself too when she apologised, Kai smiling to her too when Choi did, “Worrying is fine! If we didn’t do that on a daily basis we’d probably have no heart”, he spoke before giving Shu a poke, “At least this one can move again so things aren’t all bad, just need to get the Commander fixed up with that problem of his and everybody would be okay, right?”

Shu looked between them all, feeling a little confused to what the problems were and whether they really were all that worried about everything. Shu was quite looking forward to the idea of a big ship without it meaning he was in a box all restrained on his way to some ‘test’, definitely something that excited him, “I believe in Mister Viral, I believe in my brother too and Mister Vegeta doing well! Where are we going after the ship, though…? I hope I can get more fruit…”

Takeshi wasn't going to touch that one with a ten foot pole. Sure T'charrl looked different now, but he certainly wouldn't say he was something of a failed experiment. That seemed to be a little harsh, especially since he was saying it of himself. A failed experiment oddly enough would be Shu or Viral, in terms of their collars. Or perhaps even Yumi, as her loyalty was never bought and arguably all they did was make a more powerful enemy. Those were definitely failures, but this was just an accident. That would all stay neatly tucked away in the recesses of the Saiyan's mind. If he said a word of any of that there would be a wide range of emotions, least of which would be anger, in the form of Yumi's foot, firmly planted on his arse. Yeah, definitely not something that he wanted. Takeshi couldn't well get the whole fitting in problem either, never having been too terribly concerned with going along with the majority. Even now that he'd lightened up a bit he had little desire to get back to the bustle of their own cities, or be forced to talk to other people. Those with him now were perfectly enough, he'd happily keep it that way if he could.

"You're not causing anyone inconvenience, don't worry about it," he reassured, smiling politely. "Seriously, you're helping us out, we can't expect you to do everything all at once realistically. We know you'll get to it when you can, and that's that. Right?" Takeshi grabbed and pulled open the front door, gesturing for T'charrl to head on in first. When his picture from before was mentioned the Saiyan cringed slightly, his smile becoming more sheepish as he rubbed at the back of his neck. "It wasn't THAT hard to tell what it was... Was it? If you need help then I'll help, or I'm sure someone else can help too. Heck, Shu knows what he looks like too, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to do anything."

Choi and Kai were right, there wasn't reason to worry. Viral was going to do just fine, and they'd get everyone the help they needed soon enough. It was easy to stress about these things, and Yumi found herself doing so quite a bit. It was nice then to have some optimism to counter her worries, definitely a welcome change. The worst of it was behind them, it had to be. Everyone had been put through some kind of torment by now, so it was high time that things started to get better. She'd have to tell herself that from now on, no use in bringing everyone down. Looking to Shu she smiled tenderly, walking over and taking the seat beside him.

"We'll go wherever we want, I'd imagine," Yumi replied, lifting a hand to tap Shu's nose with a fingertip playfully. "I don't know if there will be fruit or not, but we can do whatever we want from now on. We can see all sorts of planets, and explore if we want to. Or we can go back to Earth, eventually. Doesn't the idea of exploring seem exciting?"

Takeshi stopped at the family room when he spotted Kabocha asleep on the couch, a bit surprised that he'd fallen asleep. The boy had never really been one to drift off in the middle of something, he must have been awfully tired then. Well, too bad for him. They had things to do now, he'd have to wait until later to rest. Smiling impishly at T'charrl he put a finger to his lips, walking into the room quietly and over to the sofa. Letting out a chuckle under his breath he reached down, pinching the other Saiyan's nose and holding it. After a brief pause Kabocha snorted, waking abruptly then with a start and flailing his arms in confusion. Takeshi stepped away from the other boy with a laugh, putting his hands up at the angry glance that he was getting. Might as well have some fun with it.

"Easy there, just had to get you up. We're going to get your parents soon, so I figured you'd like to be awake for it."

Kabocha lowered his fists at the mention of his parents, blinking the drowsiness from his eyes before smiling. "Oh...? Well you could have just said so..." he mumbled, lifting his arms up over his head and groaning softly.

Takeshi only shrugged to that, smirking as he gestured for his friend to follow along. His next stop was the kitchen to fetch the others, and he got there just to hear the tail end of a conversation. He didn't know quite what they were going over, but he agreed with the latter part of it. Exploration would be nice, he was curious to see what other worlds and peoples were out there among the stars, just waiting to be discovered. That was a luxury though, and unfortunately not one they could afford right now. There was a fair bit they needed to see to before anything for themselves could be done really, least of which was get Viral some proper help.

"Exploring is going to have to wait..." Takeshi interjected, smiling as he pointed over his shoulder at T'charrl. "Because we're going to save their parents first. If you're all set to go let's head outside and get this done with."

Vegeta sat a little ways away from Viral, having opted to just remain silent after a few failed attempts to strike up conversation. It was painfully clear that they were inept on giving him the kind of care he needed right now, regardless of how much they tried to help it. Their next stop then was going to have to be somewhere that a proper doctor was available, one who knew how to deal with PTSD. It sucked that none of them were able to help it though, especially when for them it was such a personal matter. Sighing to himself the Saiyan lifted his head as the door opened, glancing over to the house to see everyone beginning to file out. Figuring what was going on he smiled a little, putting a hand on the ground and getting to his feet. So they were finally going to take care of this little promise of Takeshi's, good. Once this was done they could get going, and get to real important tasks.

"So you need Goku's appearance then...?" Every had settled around in a small group, T'charrl being at the center of it. Takeshi was trying to provide as best a description of the man in question as he could, but it was a little tricky, hardly being all that articulate when it came to things like this. "Well... He looks like us... And has black, spiky hair, and... He wears orange clothes... Uh..." Giving his head a scratching he looked over at Shu, smiling hopefully. "Anything to add buddy?"

T’charrl was feeling a little uneasy right now, but there was a variety of reasons for that which they already knew about. He did wonder whether all his nerves would affect his performance, he hadn’t contacted the Otherworld in a while and once a gateway was open it couldn’t be moved so he could search around for the person in question. It was definitely something he would like to improve on, especially when the people of the past were a whole lot wiser than those living today. Letting out a sigh as he tried to calm himself, he looked to Takeshi and shrugged a little, lowering his head slightly, “I know…I must sound selfish sometimes with how I keep going on about it”, he spoke, smiling a little, “Besides, it’s my duty to help people”.

Looking to the door when Takeshi opened it, he stepped through slowly to mind his head before looking back to Takeshi when he grew worried over the state of his picture. It was definitely something in regards to his confidence in pictures, but all he could really do was give him a nervous smile, “Uhhh no, I mean…it was definitely a Saiyan and they had distinct hair”, he spoke, scratching his head a little, “I’m sure I’ll get him, I mean…there can’t be too many friendly Saiyans in the afterlife, can there?”

Shu smiled at Yumi when she approached him, poking his nose before he pulled back, giving it a quick scratch, “Ooohhh, mystery…” he spoke, giving Yumi a little nod. He didn’t know about the second thing, about going where they wanted or to Earth again. He was a bit nervous about travelling to other places easily, plus going to Earth would mean there would still be people out there suffering. He did miss the Earth, but knowing there were many species out there who were not having a great quality of life right now made him a little sad, “It is exciting! I just worry about other people, you know? I’d like to help them too…”

Before long, it seemed Takeshi had shown up with T’charrl behind him, speaking about getting his friend’s parents back finally. Kai and Choi immediately turned their attention towards him, looked between each other before moving to follow after Takeshi. It was definitely something they were anticipating when it meant they would be truly free, something that was a rarity amongst their people. With almost impatience, they practically wanted to shove their way out of the house and to the outside.

Getting outside took no time at all, even Shu was able to move fairly well despite his injury. He was a lot better and did need a little help but all in all he was fine and quite willing to move. Seeing Vegeta sitting there and Viral laying down still but on his side with his head resting on his palm, they all moved over into them with some reluctance to sit near Viral, just incase he got moody and decided to try and whack them. Settling down, Shu slowly sat down before the question of what Goku looked like came into mind, Shu giving a quick nod in response to Takeshi, “He looks gentle and strong! He’s taller than me by a lot, he doesn’t have a tail either…”

T’charrl had some sort of idea what he looked like, going by the picture Takeshi had given him before. If this was going to go well then he would need to search fast for his soul’s signature, hopefully finding it with no time at all, “Okay…I think. Uhhh, if it helps, if he’s the right guy I’ll have you talk to him, I doubt I would be able to understand him, anyway”, he spoke, giving a little sigh, “I guess that’s something else I’ll have to learn; your language. You all sound Kaesstrian to me…uhh, but anyway, ready? A Saiyan with no tail, spikey hair…and he’s a good guy, right? I’d rather not look around in Hell; it’s a creepy place”.

"Nah, it's not selfish." Takeshi said, waving a hand dismissively. "And it's only your duty if you want it to be. I mean... It's great that you want to help and all, but don't feel like you have to help us. It should be your choice, not an obligation." Putting a hand on his hip he held a finger up to T'charrl, giving the Kaesstrian a stern look. "I mean it, don't feel like you have to do things for us. I know enough about friends to know that if they're demanding things from you constantly they're not your friend. We're never going to keep putting you on the spot to lend us a hand, so if someone else does just keep that in mind, okay?"

Yumi nodded her head in agreement with Shu, thinking exactly along his line of thought. It would be very nice to go home again, but there were a lot of people still in a bad way. When they had the power to help someone they couldn't well in good conscience just up and leave, it felt like they were abandoning everyone else. Maybe it was a ridiculous task they were assigning themselves, trying to help the other races under Saiyan rule. Who knows how many people there were, and how far and wide the empire's influence stretched. Plus, they could easily say that the rebellion was doing just that and let them handle it, head home and forget the whole thing. The way that the rebels acted though made Yumi reluctant to leave it all up to them, especially with how vindictive Korian could be. So long as Sayomi kept him in check things ought to be okay, but being around to see things go smoothly for themselves definitely took the edge off. So home would have to wait a while longer, there were more people to save. Besides, she was rather eager to try getting into a real fight, curious to see what she could do now. And if along the way she got to bop one or two of the creeps who did this to her then all the better.

Takeshi and T'charrl's arrival signaled the beginning of their rescuing the Saiyan's parents, and the excitement in the room was palpable. Kai and Choi near jumped out of their skins at the word, and together the group exited the house, piling out into the back yard to get settled in. No one save T'charrl was quite certain how this was going to work, as they couldn't well do something like this themselves. Soon enough they'd have their answer, and their parents. Kabocha stood with the twins, an earnest and nervous smile on his face as he clasped his hands behind his back. So this was it, they were saving their parents. With this act of defiance before the king they would be permanently severing their ties with the kingdom and be on their own at last. Well, not quite on their own. They had to find their families a place to stay first of all, which was easier said than done. Once that was taken care of somehow Kabocha had a feeling they'd be staying with their former leader and the others for some time yet. If they were going to take the fight to Yamate then he'd certainly not miss out on taking down the king.

"That sounds about right. Uh... Don't forget the orange clothes though, he pretty much always wears those," Takeshi pointed out, smiling hopefully. "And don't waste your time looking in Hell, he definitely won't be there. Nah, he's going to be in Heaven somewhere, we're sure of it." There was no where else that Goku would ever be, he was much too good to be in Hell, and he'd had his run on Earth... A few times.

T’charrl did take Takeshi’s words into mind, but when it was all said and done he did often find himself conflicted between duty and simply doing something to make someone else happy. He did want to help in whatever way he could, but he didn’t want to make it out as if he had been forced into it because of the way he was brought up or because he might feel guilty if he never helped. It was pretty rough, his knowledge of social interactions was pretty small compared and definitely did make him feel just that little bit inadequate when he couldn’t help someone he knew.

To say he was a little nervous was a bit of an understatement, he was definitely relying on the others to help him along with this considering the man they were trying to contact wouldn’t be able to directly talk to him and he would have to rely on everyone else to give him reliable information to what was being said if it was important. The ritual was a simple one, but it would definitely take a lot out of him mentally and he would probably enjoy a good cup of nectar or sap before he had to go anywhere. He wasn’t afraid of his powers going wrong, but he was worried that his possible exhaustion afterwards would hinder his friends.

Knowing it was something his ancestors did many years ago made him feel a little more comfortable about showing the ability off, but squandering the moment was definitely a no-go when they probably won’t be able to see him use the ability again for a long time. Connecting the two worlds through a window-like image was definitely pretty bad to continue doing with all the problems rolled on top. Watching as everyone gathered around, T’charrl got himself ready and took in a few deep breaths, trying to think of the energy he was searching for and a rough picture of the man to go with it.

Looking between everyone before back to Takeshi, he gave a little nod before he gave himself a little bit more space and slowly knelt down, still finding it a little uncomfortable to do so, “Okay…definitely in Heaven? Orange clothes…big hair…a Saiyan. I think I have an idea of what I’ll be searching for”.

Clearing a bit of space for himself, he looked down to the ground before he ran a claw into the ground, drawing a circle before out of his hand shot a spark of energy into the centre. The circle burst into a blue fire the moment the spark hit the ground, T’charrl looking to the others for a second before he almost pulled the flame upwards to about knee height, the flames dancing yet gave no heat or showed any danger of spreading. Holding his arms out calmly, he closed his eyes as he tried to search for the figure in question, trying to imagine the rough features given in the picture and what he could draw upon when putting that all into the image of a Saiyan.

A few moments soon passed pretty quickly, his mind searching for the energy that would be in the shape of this man; however, that proved to be a difficult task in itself. The worst part of the search was his inability to pinpoint the energy, it was showing up in a few places if only a trace but definitely active. The guy must travel around the Otherworld a lot, his energy especially large despite being dead. He would have to open it up in hope that he was at the place where his energy appeared the most, that distinctive hairstyle showing up all over the place but here especially. After a moments straining as he tried to focus on it, he slowly opened his arms up and sure enough the flames began to flatten in the middle, opening up a fair sized window to the Otherworld and the place where he could sense Goku’s energy a lot. Immediately after the window was complete T’charrl lowered his arms, opening his eyes to try and see if their friend Goku was actually there or not; however, the most he could see was a house sitting sitting on a well curved planet that had a strange ‘new planet air’ about it like it had been made or re-made not long ago in cosmic relation to other planets, “Uhhh, did I do it right…? What is this place?”

No one uttered so much as a word as T'charrl began his work. Everyone was rather curious as to how the process worked, or perhaps in Viral's case was simply to disinterested to even care. Whatever the case they all stood by silently, letting the Prince do his work. Uncertain as to what was happening there was a unanimous "Ooooh" as the blue flames erupted from the ground, certainly not something any of them had witnessed before. It was strange, there was no heat from the fire yet it was most certainly real. What's more, T'charrl looked to be in control of the flame. Now there was something none of them had a claim to, that was a power all to the Kaesstrian and him alone. It couldn't be helped, as he worked they began to draw a bit closer to him, each person curious to get a look at just what was going on. Their surprise was rather vivid when the flames were displaced, only to be turned into what could only be described as literally a window to the other world. Somehow he'd opened up a rift between the living and the dead, and they were getting a good look at some kind of little planet. Not a single one of them was too sure of just what it was they were looking at, until a vaguely familiar pale blue figure suddenly appeared in the image.

"Hey! Just who the heck is spying on me at my home!?" King Kai snapped, bursting onto the screen with hands balled into fists, a flustered look on his face. He could see the rift after it had formed as well, appearing as a gateway of sorts between them. Seeing who was on the other side he calmed down slightly, blinking behind his glasses in surprise before raising his eyebrows in clear shock. "A Kaesstrian...? And is that... IT IS! You're all alive!"

Takeshi smiled meekly from behind T'charrl, giving a half wave as King Kai noticed them all. "Yeah, and you're dead, captain obvious," he retorted, chuckling a bit. "Sorry to barge in on you like this, but we were hoping to ask you a favor, if it's okay. We're kind of in a pickle here and could use Goku's help again, if you don't mind getting him for us. He's supposed to be around there somewhere apparently but we can't find him."

"Goku...?" King Kai repeated, lowering one arm as he scratched at his head. "No... He's not here, not now anyways. He had just gone out to run snake way again, though I don't know why. Even dead that man has too much energy, it's mind boggling. He went out a while ago though so he should be back fairly soon." He'd taken his sons with him for a little jog, albeit their jog was several, several times faster than what one might expect. In fact the Kai was a tad surprised they hadn't returned yet. No doubt somewhere along the way they had found food, there was no other reason that they'd have been delayed on such a short journey. "What is it exactly you all need help with?"

"We're trying to help these three get their parents away from the king," Vegeta explained, poking his head into the frame. Right as he did so King Kai seemed to be very surprised, and then nervous for some reason. Not sure as to why that was the Saiyan's brow furrowed, looking at his friends then back at the screen curiously. "Erm... Is everything alright? I don't like that look you're giving me..."

King Kai looked at Vegeta Jr again, biting his lip and looking around himself as though he was checking for something. Oh now this was going to be an awkward moment if he showed up, definitely awkward. He hadn't seen this boy yet, or at all for that matter, and would no doubt be curious. How would he take it if he learned that the boy was more of a tech geek than a warrior? Squirming a bit in his spot he glanced off screen for a moment, sighing before giving a meek smile and shaking his head.

"N-No reason, no reason at all! Uhm... Well if you all can stay on the line then Goku should be back any moment, like I said. If you don't mind me asking, I've got a question for you..." King Kai looked directly at T'charrl, putting a hand on his chin as he leaned forward, studying the Kaesstrian carefully. "Hm... No doubt about it. Young man, how did you do this? I haven't seen anyone from your world do this in... Oh, it's been a long while, I don't know exactly how long. Where did you learn to do this?"

T’charrl wasn’t saying anything, but he was fair drained after doing that just like he always felt after tearing apart dimensions. Nobody was in any risk of him losing control, but such a process would naturally make someone a little weary. Looking to the others, he smiled a little when he saw how interested they all were, on account of Viral who only really turned himself around most likely out of curiosity. Shu was trying to touch the flames but nothing was happening, naturally for a number of reasons involving the nature of the flames. Smiling a little, he took a brief look up to see if Goku was there only to be given a fright as a strange creature instead spoke through the portal, T’charrl’s hand going to his chest as he backed off a little.

Shu was very interested in what he was seeing, he really didn’t know how this was happening but it was fairly interesting to him. The flames felt like nothing, just as if he was waving his hand through air and nothing was coming of it. It was very strange, but upon seeing the image of the little house Shu’s attention was taken up only to squeak when King Kai suddenly appeared. It was definitely odd that such a thing was possible and he did wonder how it was possible, but instead he opted to move close to Yumi and cuddle into her, staring at King Kai curiously.

The twins had never seen something like this before, even knowing what the other side looked like was definitely strange and new to them. Kai wasn’t really sure how to react, he didn’t even think such a place existed when they died and had been doubtful upon seeing the house that Goku would even want to be in such a weird little place. Seeing the dead alien was a little surprising, but Choi didn’t find any surprise in it at all and was more waiting for the moment that Goku would pop up. It didn’t appear as if the guy was there at all and this strange being speaking just now confirmed the fact that he was away somewhere.

T’charrl thought he had failed for a moment when he saw the strange man instead of Goku, his eyes lowering for a moment before even realising what was being said, or rather the fact that he could understand the man. He thought he would have trouble understanding anything someone else was saying, but this man seemed to be able to speak universally possibly through those antennae of his. Tilting his head a little, he looked to the others for a moment before back to the man, trying to think on just how long they might need to wait until Goku arrived. He was just happy that he had managed to actually find someone who knew Goku and from the sounds of it he really did spend a lot of time on that strange little planet.

Slowly scratching his chest, he lowered his eyes a little before looking up again once the man spoke after Vegeta, tilting his head a little before looking behind him before back again, “Uhh…m-me…?” he spoke, feeling a little unsure about this. Slowly nodding, he lowered his head again, rubbing his claws together, “I-I-…yeah, I’d figure it’s been a while, especially when I just found out there was many more out there who used to be like me”, he spoke, frowning a little, “I did it by extracting my soul using my energy, so…essentially I can look into the Otherworld because I’m technically not alive right now and I’m seeing where my soul is seeking to go to. I have it locked down using my power so it can’t go anywhere. My grandmother told me it was possible to do it, she’s refusing to pass on because she likes it here better. I spent a long time trying to learn it. My ancestors used to do this to seek wisdom from those who passed on…didn’t they? I was desperate to find out about myself when I learned it, but I don’t know who to seek…uhhh, did that answer your questions, Great Sir…?”

It wasn't Yumi's first time speaking with King Kai, but it was her first time seeing him. What a weird guy, all blue and dressed in some rather old styled clothing. For someone who was supposed to be omnipotent and revered practically as a god he wasn't the most imposing figure either. Honestly it had her amused, she'd expected a lot more out of this man and had been disappointed as a result. Shu seemed to be unnerved enough, taking refuge behind her for whatever reason. He was rather timid when it came to new things, so it was only normal for him to do that. But around someone like this? Hard to believe that he trained the Z Fighters all those years ago, he definitely didn't look like a fighter. Putting an arm around the young Saiyan securely she smiled, letting T'charrl do the talking for the time being. Unfortunately for them it became apparent fairly quickly that Goku wasn't present, at least by what King Kai was telling them. Odd since she figured that the Prince would have contacted Goku directly instead of doing something like this. Maybe he had made a mistake?

"So you are a descendent of them... Interesting, very interesting," King Kai mused, rubbing at his chin thoughtfully. Kaesstrians had gone a few hundred years without doing anything like this, and he had honestly given up on hearing from them ever again. In a way it had kind of been nice, there was always so much traffic when they were communicating with the dead. The reason for why they had suddenly stopped was lost to him, and it was too far away really to pick up on any powers, only just close enough to be able to communicate. Kai made a mental note to look into it later, now he was curious as to what had gone on once more.

"Great Sir...? Did you just call me 'Great Sir'?" Snorting with laughter King Kai quickly covered his mouth, shaking his head before beaming at T'charrl amused. "Well there's something I'm never called! Though I've got to say that it's nice to hear some politeness for a change. Because SOME people on this planet could use with a little courtesy!"

"I don't suppose that someone would be me, would it King Kai?"

The voice wasn't one they immediately recognized, though King Kai most certainly did. Again the man looked off screen, becoming rather uneasy at whomever was speaking to him. The sound of someone approaching carried through the window and as they closed in the blue man scurried away, leaving the screen empty for a moment. Eventually another figure stood in the shot, a Saiyan with widow's peak hair. He was a great bit older than everyone else present, and wore a blue set of training gear with white gloves and boots to match. Vegeta Jr stared at the screen dumbfounded, his eyes wide as he saw just who had come to join them. That was his great-grandfather, the man whom he was named for. He'd never seen him before, and looking at Vegeta now the resemblance between them was uncanny.

"Who are these children supposed to be?" Vegeta asked, his brow pulling together as he looked at the group on the other side curiously. Setting his gaze on T'charrl he blinked a few times, not sure what to make of what he was staring at. "And what in the hell are you supposed to be? I've never seen one of your kind before. You look like an Arlian though... Except I killed all of them..."

"He's a Kaesstrian, uh... Vegeta," Takeshi replied, smiling meekly as he spoke up. So that was the guy he used to idolize, kind of cool. When the focus shifted on him he became a bit nervous, shifting uneasily as the other Saiyan seemed to be waiting for him to go on. "He's uh... A moth... Person kind of thing. I don't know, but he's not an Arlian, we know that much. Besides, does it matter what he is?"

"No, no it doesn't matter. What matters is that some punks decided to interrupt us while we were training, that is a problem." Vegeta crossed his arms, sniffing unamused as he looked at the group before him. As he did so his eyes stopped on Vegeta Jr, and for a second he thought he was staring into a mirror. In a bit of disbelief he blinked silently, his neck craning slightly as he slowly processed just what he was seeing. Who in the hell was that then?

"Uh... Hello... Great Grandfather," Vegeta Jr said, rather meekly. "Sorry to bother you, but we sort of need some help. Or rather, Goku's help. So... If you don't mind could you tell us where he is?" Looking at the older man hopefully he cringed as the Saiyan groaned, worried that they had upset him in some way, which they had.

"My own kin contacts me from the world of the living, and he wants to speak to Kakarot instead?" Vegeta snipped, huffing under his breath as he turned his head away. What an indignation to have the remnants of his lineage favor that man over him, it just wasn't right. After a moment of brooding he looked back at the group, smiling faintly as he lowered his arms, pointing off towards the right side of the screen. "That moron took his children on a run down Snake Way, so he's been gone for a little while. If you're looking for him I'm afraid you're out of luck. Unless you can wait, I'll drag him back here if it's important."
