T’charrl was feeling a little embarrassed about it all, lowering his head a little and giving a nod as King Kai spoke. He was pretty nervous about this all, seeing a being such as him on the other side instead of Goku. He must had let his friends down by not pinpointing the man, he just tried to find him through methods that made it easier to find the guy without knowing what he looked like. He was feeling pretty silly, but knowing the man was somewhere did make him feel a little better about his problem finding Goku.

Giving a little nod when King Kai responded to what he called him, but was a little taken back when the man laughed at him instead. Frowning a little, he looked around himself before back to the man, trying to smile a little before another voice was heard. He didn’t really understand it, but when the man popped around T’charrl backed off a little, staring at him curiously before slowly backing off. He didn’t know who this man was but he was definitely imposing and looked fairly scary, his eyes quickly looking around only to stare at him when he stared back. Feeling a little worried to what was going on, he looked to Takeshi when he spoke up instead, frowning a little, “’Moth…thing’? What is that…”

Viral wasn’t really concerned with paying that much attention to King Kai, even when he knew who he was. The man’s voice was probably the most annoying aspect of him and it definitely was jarring at the best of times, but when he heard another voice he looked up again, instead seeing Vegeta at the portal. His heart almost jumped; the man who started it all and lead to his creation. Pushing himself up he slowly moved onto his knee, lowering his head, “Prince Vegeta…” he spoke, raising a clenched fist to his chest. Despite never meeting the guy before, he knew who he was and could only hold the deepest respect for him.

T’charrl was a little uncertain to what he should do about this, seeing as how Goku wasn’t here and he didn’t know if he should search for him again; then again he was on the move somewhere, so hopefully he should come back again. Letting out a sigh, he looked between the two Vegetas, not looking too sure to what he should say. He didn’t know if this other Vegeta could understand his language so it would be rude to start speaking to him and assume everything was okay. Looking to Takeshi before to his friends, he turned to them slightly, “Who are these two…? One of them’s a Prince?”

Kai wasn’t aware of any Prince that was a Saiyan, his eyes going to Vegeta Jr as he tried to figure it all out. The only Saiyan Princes he knew were Shu and Takeshi, but if this guy was a Prince then there must had been another royal family that existed with Vegeta Jr being related to it. That was a fair odd surprise, but he couldn’t imagine how awkward it must be to see a dead relative like that. Waiting for Goku was going to be a little annoying, but if he was away and this was as close they were going to get to him then the wait shouldn’t be all that bad.

"Oh... Well, a moth is a... Well its this bug that's on our planet." Takeshi explained, smiling awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "It's uh... Well... It's a bug that looks like you guys, only a lot smaller. Though there's some that are pretty big too. Of course not as big as you are, but pretty big. And they're not all that smart either, they don't live in cities like you do. In fact I really don't know where they live. They're kind of really stupid in that they fly into things all the time too, and they're really attracted to light. And... I'm rambling, so I'm just going to shut up now..." Chances were if T'charrl was traveling with them then he may well end up coming to Earth anyways, he could see what a moth was for himself.

Vegeta didn't quite what to know of what he was watching, hearing some of the kids bumbling over their words and the others just staring at him like mindless fools. Honestly, these were the next members of his and Kakarot's lineage? Well, his great-grandson or whatever was, the others he wasn't entirely certain of. There was one, young by the look of him, who seemed rather unruly even for a Saiyan child. He was hiding behind a curious woman, looking pitifully meek and nervous about things. The one who had tried to explain moths looked a touch more like a typical Saiyan, but he clearly had no relation to either Vegeta or his rival, Goku. The other three as well weren't anyone he recognized, which meant these three were most likely from the Saiyan home world, as were the other two, he assumed. Curious then that they were here with others and cooperating, rather than razing the cities and killing people. The new Saiyan empire definitely followed the old way of things, a way that was long since outdated and frowned upon. Even the Prince of Saiyans found himself disgusted with what his people were doing with themselves, it just wasn't right.

In spite of his faint disregard for everyone before him there was one individual that caught his attention, besides his relative that is. He wasn't quite certain what the man was, or who he was for that matter. A Beastman, if only going by the knowledge he had of races, that was as close as he could place it. Though this one seemed more human than anthro, which made him fairly curious. Whoever or whatever he was the man had some sort of reverence for Vegeta, and he rather liked that. When he knelt down and did a sort of salute the Saiyan smiled proudly, lifting up his chin a bit as he let the guy do his thing. It had been a long while since anyone had done that to him, he'd forgotten how nice it felt.

"Now there's someone who knows how to show some respect. You seem like a strong warrior, and you understand how to greet a superior, I'm impressed." Vegeta mused, chuckling throatily. "But don't give me that, as nice as it is. I'm dead, I have no use for honorifics or royalties any longer, they mean nothing here frankly. If you wish to honor my kin in the same way though I'm sure he wouldn't mind. Provided he's not as soft as my son is..."

Vegeta Jr smiled sheepishly at the idea of being royalty, itching at his nose. It wasn't a terribly off-putting idea, though he was definitely a little ways away from being in line for the throne. "Both Shu and Takeshi are Princes, T'charrl, and this man Vegeta is also a Prince." he explained, gesturing to each in turn. "Or he was the Prince of Saiyans, back when he was still alive. He's my great-grandfather, and he was one of the strongest warriors in the entire universe in his time. Heck, I bet he still is." Chuckling under his breath he rubbed his hands together, getting lost briefly in his own little world as he daydreamed about being a Prince. No work and he could do what he wanted for a change... He'd quite like that.

"Wait... Those boys are the two Princes?" Vegeta asked, blinking and looking between Shu and Takeshi in disbelief. That meant they were brothers, yet they looked absolutely nothing alike. Not for nothing, but they didn't seem terribly intimidating either. Then again... Appearances weren't everything. Smiling amused he leaned forward to come closer to the screen, scrutinizing each boy for a moment before shaking his head. "They don't carry themselves like Princes, and they certainly don't seem to have the air about them as one would. I may have been the Prince a while ago, but I'm sure the behavior hasn't changed. They act like commoners, or low class Saiyans even. So let me guess, you were borne by the king and a wife, but you weren't raised by him? Probably just as well... If I could get there I'd kill that man for bringing shame to the Saiyan name."

King Kai finally worked his way back into the frame, albeit he was standing behind Vegeta, too uneasy to try getting him out of the way. "They're actually fighting their father for that very reason Vegeta!" he exclaimed, lifting his hands to adjust his sunglasses meticulously. "Or... Maybe not the EXACT reason, but they're fighting against him. You should be commending these boys, they're fighting an uphill battle!"

"Tch... How many times have they died?" Vegeta asked, smiling as he leaned back again and stood upright. "I don't doubt what you're doing, but believe me, until you've been killed in action you don't know what a real struggle is like. And I've done that... Well, a few times. Not for nothing, but you children don't know real struggle until you've failed that badly."

T’charrl was fairly curious to what Takeshi meant, but was a little disappointed when he found out what a moth was. Apparently that made his race a bunch of overgrown bugs, hearing that they were stupid was a bit of a downer too, “…They could be smart, you just don’t understand them…” he muttered, frowning a little. Despite hearing about that, he would still enjoy seeing what Earth was like and how much like his own home it was. It shouldn’t be too different from his own, they seemed to like eating their food and were aware of what trees were so it must had been a nice place to be with lots of little creatures like Takeshi and Shu.

Viral was reluctant to come out of his stance, he had a lot to answer for and knew that Vegeta was the highest regarding factor in it all, especially when he had done the absolute worse to his family. Looking up momentarily when Vegeta told him off for calling him such a thing, he lowered his head again and shook it, his tone low, “I have disgraced your family’s name and legacy, I have to make it up to you and those who have suffered because of me under your name. You will always be the Prince…”

Viral didn’t know how else to seek forgiveness other than through the ancestors of Vegeta Jr, it was painfully obvious that the ones he had killed weren’t there and they would probably never forgive him. If it would only make him feel a tiny little bit better knowing that he had apologised to the man who started it all, even if he barely acknowledged it and had no idea who he was.

Out and about elsewhere, Goku was just starting to arrive back at King Kai’s planet after having a good old time. He enjoyed going out and about even when everything was so far away, but teasing Princess Snake was probably the highlight of the day so far. Arriving back with laughter in his expression, it quickly turned to confusion when he spotted Vegeta not training as usual and King Kai looking a bit withdrawn for some reason.

Dropping down close to them, he wandered over to them curiously only to see a strange glowing mirror of some kind, something he wasn’t fully aware that happened, “Hey! King Kai, Vegeta? What ya both staring at?” he asked, looking over from behind them to give a quick check, only to see some strangers bar Takeshi, Shu and Yumi in the strange portal, “Woah! Vegeta, you didn’t tear a rift between the living and the dead with all your training, or something? That’s pretty cool!”

"And just how have you disgraced us? I don't know what you're even going on about..." Vegeta grumbled, sighing as he folded his arms once again. "We've only just met, so there's nothing you have to make up for. And as far as I can tell that boy seems to be perfectly fine too. The only one that seems to be suffering at all is you." Something about that made a few of the young fighters cringe, only further confusing him. Seriously, he had no clue who this man was apologizing to him, or what he was talking about. Frankly it was a little annoying, he didn't know what in the world was being said to him and it made him feel rather out of the loop.

"Viral... Uh... That's him," Vegeta Jr began, gesturing to the Beastman. "He feels like he's failed himself and us. He's been having a tough time of it lately and we're trying to convince him he shouldn't feel like that, but yeah... Not a ton of luck yet."

"How have you failed them then? You're alive, they're alive, you all seem to be fine to me. I don't see how you've messed anything up." Vegeta wasn't going to waste time playing nice and trying to sympathize with Viral, it wasn't his problem really. Plus whatever this so called shame he'd brought upon them was it didn't seem to be anything substantial. "If you failed at something then so what? You're going to fail in life, a lot. You're alive, you're able to fight, and you've got comrades around you to fight with. There's nothing to mope about."

There was a lapse in conversation as a familiar voice soon chimed in on the conversation. Vegeta and King Kai respectively looked off to their right, the former frowning and closing his eyes in irritation as Goku stood behind him and leaned over to glance into the mirror that they had. At his question the Saiyan's eyebrow twitched irritably, lifting his upper lip before exhaling and glancing over his shoulder.

"Yes Kakarot... I did this. In all the years you've known me I have never done this before until now, you got me," Vegeta answered sarcastically, putting a hand on his forehead. "No I didn't do it, it was this... Him..." he continued, gesturing to T'charrl on the screen. "And they want to talk to you about something, they need your help. Think you can stop clowning around long enough to do that?"

Takeshi meanwhile was having what might be referred to as a little "fanboy" moment. Here before him was not one but two of the greatest warriors anyone had ever known. Two Saiyans that had exceeded all expectations of what their race could achieve and had saved the world, and the universe, on countless occasions. Cool didn't even begin to do this moment justice. Both Goku and Vegeta, here in front of them. The only thing that would outdo this was seeing their children too, definitely Gohan. Oh wow, this was just something else. Without realizing it he had a wide smile on his face, wiping it off immediately when Vegeta looked over at him, giving him a funny look in turn. If he could just try training with them once he could die a happy man. Of course... He probably had to die anyways just to do that, so kind of a moot point. Unable to suppress his excitement for long he looked over to Shu, grabbing his brother by the shirt and pulling him close to whisper to him.

"Who do you think would win, Goku or Vegeta?" Takeshi asked, nearly bouncing with excitement. "Can you imagine that fight? It'd be huge! Oh just imagine the things we could learn from them...!"

Vegeta Jr watched the two brothers with a bit of an exasperated glance. Takeshi was having a little episode for some reason, dragging his poor little sibling into it. Chances were they were off in their own little place right now, so they weren't going to be of much help. Slightly amused he shook his head, looking up to T'charrl and nodding towards the mirror.

"That would be Goku, the one in orange. He's the one that can help out, so ask him. Uh..." There was a slight problem though, he just realized; language barriers. "Except I don't know if you can understand one another... Crap..."

"I can help with that!" King Kai smiled proudly as he spoke up, pushing himself more into view of the screen past the Saiyans behind him. "I know their language after all, so he can tell me and I'll relay it to Goku, plain and simple!"

Viral kept his head lowered, not feeling worthy enough to look at the man directly in the eyes as he spoke down to him. He didn’t like what he was hearing so far, the man must had known something but he was just talking like he was judging him by his appearance rather than asking about his situation. Lowering his head a little more, he gave a side glance to Vegeta Jr when he spoke about him. What did he know, he didn’t understand any of it and neither did any of them. Growling lowly, he stopped when Vegeta spoke, looking up at him.

He didn’t know how he was supposed to take that; the man should surely understand what it felt like to fail, seeing his history was filled with him constantly living in Goku’s shadow. Holding his breath until Vegeta stopped talking he looked up, almost trying to stand but finding it a little difficult to keep his head together, “I killed your grandchild in cold blood! The very warrior of great intelligence, the one who created me to live after your legacy; I have shamed your family name…”

With the appearance of Goku, everything seemed to had changed and even the twins felt the anticipation of what was going to happen and what Goku’s decision would be. Shu couldn’t help but bounce a little at the sight of him and hearing his voice, smiling gleefully despite Vegeta quickly belittling him while calling him an odd name. Kakarot sounded like an oddly yummy name to him, but that was not the best thing to mention at this time. Feeling a little too happy, he bounced a little before finding himself pulled towards Takeshi, smiling gleefully and giving a little nod, “Mister Goku would! Uh huh!”

Goku sighed at Vegeta’s inability to be social, shrugging a little, “I’m just kidding! Geez man, loosen up a little”, he chuckled, having a look over the pair of them to see what was going on. It looked like a giant bug was with the group, his eyes going between Vegeta and Vegeta Jr, “Woah, that must be incredibly awkward, huh? Wish I could see my family legacy like this! What’s going on? Just a casual testing this odd rift one of you have created?”

T’charrl looked a little confused and couldn’t help but feel a little left out here, his claws tapping together as he let them all talk amongst each other. He wasn’t really understanding what was going on, but when Vegeta Jr soon realised he smiled a little, “S-Sorry…I should really try and learn it”, he spoke before his attention went to King Kai who next spoke up, his eyes looking to the strange blue alien. He smiled a little upon realising that he would be able to get his questions through, he nodded and shuffled forward a little bit, “Uhh, Great Ones, we need your help. We have to retrieve a couple of adult Saiyans from their oppressor and transport them here to their sons. I don’t know who they are, but please, will you help us?”

"Goku...? Really?" Takeshi whispered back, smiling faintly amused before giving a shake of his head. "No way, they've got to be closer in strength now. I bet Vegeta could beat him if he wanted to." Teasingly the older boy prodded his sibling's forehead with his index finger, cocking an eyebrow as he did so. "Want to bet on it? Then if they fight whoever loses has to... Get food for the other person for a whole week when we get back home. Deal?"

Vegeta was fully aware of what Viral had done to his family. It wasn't as though he was completely out of the swing of things, they were able to check up on Earth after all. That and the fact this happened some 15 years ago gave him more than enough opportunity to learn about it, so it wasn't as though it was recent events. The Beastman seemed properly depressed over having done it too, and the Saiyan couldn't fathom why. It was so long ago, it wasn't like moping about it now would fix anything. Plus by the looks of things it wasn't like Vegeta Jr hated the man, they looked to be getting on just fine. So if there were no issues then why was he making a fuss out of it? He was rather tempted to say something along those lines until Goku made his appearance, instantly saying something that bothered the Prince of Saiyans.

"Again, neither of us made this..." Vegeta remarked testily, pointing to T'charrl as he spoke. "He did. And your family is all up here, unless there is more back on Earth and we just don't know. Jeez Kakarot, how do you not know if you've got any relatives or not? Just how dim are you?" Rolling his eyes he looked back to Viral, being drawn to the Beastman. He supposed that if he couldn't do anything for the other children then he could at least do something with that. It was in a way his problem, it was his family effected after all. Figuring that the other fighters had already tried getting him to quit pouting he wouldn't even waste his breath. No, Vegeta had a better idea than that. Giving a dismissive look to Goku he turned away from them and without word flew off screen, racing away from the planet at a quick speed. He knew what might fix things, provided he could find it.

"Oh... Wait, you want us to do what?!" King Kai asked, astonished. Blinking he let out a lengthy sigh, grabbing a cloth out from his robe and giving his glasses a habitual cleaning. "That's a tall order, and hard to do if you're not certain who we're looking for..."

"Goku?" he continued, looking over his shoulder and up at the man in question. "They want you to find their parents apparently. The parents of those three boys anyways, and they're supposed to be somewhere on Kortal. The Kaesstrian doesn't know who they are though, so that's a slight problem. Though I think I might have a solution..." King Kai looked first to Kai, then gradually shifted to Choi and finally Kabocha. His antennae twitched as he focused on each one, his mouth drawing a hard line in the process before finally pulling up into a smile. "Ah... Yes, that'll work! If you can get a feeling for their energies then search for similar ones you should find them. I'd go myself of course, but I'm rather busy here on my world, you see. Tending gardens, cleaning my home, washing Bubbles... Busywork, I can't go away from it, nope!"

Shu nodded his head, giving it a quick rub as well, “Mister Goku first!” he squeaked only to shake his head when Takeshi doubted his words. There was no way Goku could lose out to Vegeta or anyone for that matter; the man was so strong and nice while Vegeta seemed quite grumpy, even managing to get Viral who was usually the grumpiest down trying to pay respects to him. Shu had a lot of respect for Goku, even though he sometimes forgot what he looked like, “What if they don’t want to fight? That’s a bit mean to think they’d fight just because you’re too lazy to get food”, he nodded, smiling a little, “Besides, Mister Goku would win, anyway…”

Goku couldn’t help but laugh at Vegeta, feeling pretty jolly after teasing him, “Ahhh I’m just teasing you, is all! You think my granddaughter would had never had any kids?” he spoke, “Besides, I’m not saying where they are when they want to live elsewhere”. Seeing Vegeta leave definitely managed to leave a curious thought behind, but as that moment of thinking quickly disappeared when the alien spoke and King Kai took it in for him.

Viral didn’t know how Vegeta might react or whether he knew anything about it, seeing as how he barely knew who he was. He kept his head down low, not feeling worthy enough to raise it up to look at him. Keeping silent, he held his breath before the sound of Vegeta exiting made him look up, his expression dropping a bit upon seeing him disregard what he said. Sighing lightly he lowered his head, frowning as he once again felt ignored.

Looking to King Kai, Goku scratched his head as he was presented with the idea that the alien had in mind for him and the request he was trying to fulfil for the other lot of Saiyans in the back, his eyes going to them curiously. They looked like regular soldiers, odd that they’d want something like their parents back when Saiyans generally didn’t care much for their parents as evident with every other one he’s met. Tilting his head a little, he looked back to King Kai, smiling a little, “You’re also very dead too and probably hate the thought of confronting Saiyans as well, even after thinking I was one of the only ones left”, Goku smirked, straightening up a little, “I’ll do it, no problem! Uhh, just where is this world they’re on…? The parents are at the palace, right? Sorry, I just need to get a feel for the energy signatures before I think about going to the living world and trying to pull them out as quickly as I can…where did Vegeta fly off too, anyway? Gotta have someone to entertain the kids while I search and you’re too ‘busy’, aren’t you…”

"I am so not too lazy to get my own food..." Takeshi pouted, crossing his arms over his chest. "I just thought it might be nice... And it is not mean! Do you have any idea how cool it would be if they did fight? They're stronger than anything we can imagine, it'd be an awesome match!" If a fight did break out he supposed it wasn't important who won the exchange, though he'd like to see Vegeta come out on top. Just the sheer pleasure of watching two of the universe's best warriors duke it out would be more than satisfying enough. Not letting it alone just yet the younger boy had to thrown in one last comment about who would win. Narrowing his eyes slightly Takeshi gave a little smirk, reaching out and poking is sibling's nose teasingly. "Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't. If they don't fight we'll never know, so might as well drop it for now."

King Kai looked at Goku defensively before giving a huff, folding his hands behind his back and turning away from the Saiyans. He'd already been killed once thanks to this maniac, he didn't need to go die again for his sake. Besides, the Saiyan was better at this whole instant transmission thing than he was, Goku definitely used it more than he did.

"Yeah, all of our parents are going to be at the palace, or they should be anyways. The planet is Kortal, like we said." Kabocha wished they could give more information, but that was about it. With space being as vast as it was giving any sort of specific directions was awfully difficult. It wasn't as though they could say go one way for a few hundred meters and take a left. When talking light years it was a fair bit trickier and more complicated. Then again, they had no clue how this instant transmission stuff really worked, or at least he didn't. If all Goku needed was their energies then directions were probably obsolete anyways. "They should feel like ours, but weaker. Just... Be careful about the king? If he finds out I don't imagine he's going to be all that thrilled you're stealing some of his people."

As to where Vegeta had flown off to no one could really offer an answer. King Kai only shrugged his shoulders, not even going to attempt at providing an explanation. That man traveled around so sporadically to train that keeping track of him was nigh impossible. He couldn't fathom why any of the Saiyans were bothering to train anyways. Sure, they could grow stronger, but they were dead, just who were they going to fight? With the only outlet being the Otherworld Martial Arts Tournament they spent most of their time fighting with one another, and curiously they seemed to be perfectly content with that. A bunch of strange ones, the Saiyans, he couldn't wrap his mind around how they worked. Goku opted to bring up King Kai's little white lie again, making the Shin-jin turn red in embarrassment.

"Y-Yes, I'm busy! Far too busy to entertain children in fact! So while you're doing that I'll be doing... What I said I was going to do. Uh..." Looking around King Kai swiftly ran off screen, coming back and practically dragging a little green character with him. "Hey kids, this is Gregory! He'll keep you entertained while I work. Well, got to get going!" Smiling nervously King Kai quickly took off towards the house, leaving a trail of smoke in his wake as he disappeared inside.

Gregory looked around rather confused, glancing between the little portal first then up at Goku, an utterly lost look on his face. "Uh... Goku...? What am I supposed to be doing here?"

Shu stared at Takeshi, giving a little smile before he shook his head. This was pretty typical of him, but Shu wasn’t going to let him win when it was his idol on the line, “It would be great…but it would still be mean to make them fight just because you don’t believe Mister Goku is the strongest”, he smiled, slowly rubbing his head, “I win! You should get me lots of fruit for me because I win”. Shu was still pretty star struck by Goku being there, he wasn’t going to stop believing that his hero could be beaten even if he was dead already. Giving his head a little rub he looked to the strange portal, staring at Goku, “Maybe he’ll tell us sometime when we ask him again? The other Mister Vegeta is gone…”

Goku knew he would have trouble finding out what he was supposed to be looking for, especially when considering the kids were on an unknown planet which made it fairly difficult to pinpoint what their energy felt like to search for the parents. He’d probably need to use some time to go over there first to check it out, something that would take a little bit of time out of the energy he was allowed to spare to make the trips. The biggest thing he was hoping for was to not end up bringing the parents back to the Otherworld by accident, especially considering he’d get into big enough trouble from King Kai if that mess up happened; it would involve getting King Yemma involved to take them home and that would just mess up his chances of doing that again freely.

Staring at Kabocha as he spoke, Goku folded his arms before giving a nod, looking off for a second as he tried to think it all through. It shouldn’t be too hard to do all that and he did owe them for what they were trying to do while he was dead, at least feeling as if it was a worthy and noble mission they were taking on. Giving a quick nod, he put two fingers to his head, trying to pinpoint the kid’s energy before trying to find the parents, “Oh, don’t worry about the King. He can’t do anything to me, plus he’ll probably not be too fussed about why I’m stealing a few of his people”, he spoke, giving a little smile, “He’ll be questioning WHY I’m doing this over anything! I know I would be wondering why I’m taking a few, but he probably wouldn’t care…”

At this point, King Kai was showing signs of laziness as his attitude quickly kicked in and he was not having any of the situation or potential social time right now. He was so antisocial, that or he was very shy around new people or just plain scared by the bunch who were just staring in. Goku knew he would be like this, it was always so typical and a little old at this point. Letting out a sigh, he watched as Gregory was quickly shoved into the scene while King Kai quickly made his leave. Smiling a little bit, he let out a sigh before he waved his hand to the portal, “Keep them from getting bored, if you can? This may take a few minutes and it’d be an awful shame if they were left staring at a little house all day!” he spoke before his image began to flicker as he gave a little wave, “I’ll be back real soon!” In the blink of an eye Goku vanished completely, not leaving anything generally behind apart from a little uprising from the grass under his feet; he was away making the favour with every intention of it going well.

Despite how curious Kai looked, Choi was hardly able to contain himself at the thought that he might be finally free of the hindrance being bribed all his life came to. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do after all of that, it was so strange that it was finally happening and they would be finally able to relax without worrying that they were going home to punishment or the barracks simply to wait for his next mission. Seeing Gregory in the portal, he snickered, pointing at the little bug alien, “Hey T’charrl, he’s not a cousin to your species, is he? Only his eyes are way too big…”

"Tch... Fine, you win Shu. I'll get you some fruit later." Takeshi couldn't well say no to Shu, finding his behavior now that he was better too much fun to risk shooting down. The little Saiyan was so enamored by Goku being there that he was up in the clouds right now, off in his own little world. Truth be told the older boy was sharing in that feeling too. It wasn't enough that he was getting to see Goku again, a man he had rather quickly come to revere and respect, but now he was finally coming eye to eye with Vegeta as well. It had been a brief glimpse at the man that had once been his hero, but exciting all the same. Putting a hand on his brother's head he gave it a small pat, chuckling faintly before smirking and putting his hands in his pockets. "Be sure to remind me to get your fruit, because I'll probably forget about it later. And... That's provided we can find fruit later..."

Kabocha was surprised with just how casual Goku was treating the king. He wasn't just another Saiyan, he was the only Super Saiyan still alive. He had more power than anyone else alive, there was a reason he ruled so many people basically on his own, because no one could oppose him. He had to remind himself just who they were talking to, that the level that their king had reached, while impressive, was a shadow of what was truly achievable. Part of him almost wanted to see if Goku would just beat the king for them then and there, they could be done with him once and for all. Before even getting a single sound out though the man was gone, vanishing from view in an instant. So much for that plan, he'd try to ask again later. No use in throwing themselves in the line of fire against Yamate if someone far stronger could take him down. Kabocha was all for fighting, but as things stood it was a suicide mission to go up against the king.

"Hey! Whose eyes are you calling big?!" Gregory fussed, throwing his hands down at his side as he floated up to the screen. Narrowing his eyes at Choi he pressed a finger against it, giving the Saiyan a dirty glare. "My eyes aren't that big, I'll have you know! And besides, I'm just smaller than he is. Maybe his eyes are really big, and you just don't know because of how big the rest of him is!" Redirecting his tiny little rage he then turned his words onto the Saiyan in question. "And look at you! You're a Saiyan, but you don't seem all that tough! Yeah, I bet I could beat you if I really wanted to, but I don't even know if you're worth my time!" To drive his point home Gregory floated back a bit, doing a little "shadow boxing" as he hovered in mid air. After throwing a few punches he smiled triumphantly, putting his hands on his hips and looking at the screen once more. "Intimidated yet?"

"Oh he's adorable..." Yumi whispered, smiling as she leaned forward a bit to get a better view. "And he thinks he can fight, that's so awesome. Hey... Do you want to come live with us instead of King Kai? Then you could actually fight if you wanted to, and our house is way bigger than his. What do you say?"

"Wha-? Leave King Kai? Absolutely not! How dare you suggest such a thing!" Gregory once more crossed his arms, scowling, albeit adorably, at Yumi as he turned his body away from the screen. "I would never dream of leaving him, certainly not for some old cow like you. Dream on lady."

Yumi blinked a few times, looking at the screen in disbelief. Had that little thing just called her what she thought he had? Suddenly he went from adorable to just outright rude, and on the slate to have his tiny rear end kicked in. Growling angrily she tried to lunge forward to grab hold of him in spite of there being a huge gap, squirming as Vegeta Jr quickly grabbed hold of her to restrain her.

"What did you call me, you little cricket?!" Yumi snapped, glowering as she flailed to get free from her friend. "Come here and say that to me, I'll squash you! You're lucky you're all the way... Wherever you are!"

Shu was definitely feeling pretty happy, especially when he had defended his idol from the thought that he would ever be defeated by another warrior. Smiling gleefully, he pulled at Takeshi’s clothes, bouncing a little, “I would love some food! I would love a lot of food; lots of fruit…ooohhh…ooh! I’ll miss the fruit here”, he spoke, eventually ceasing his bouncing when Takeshi placed his hand upon his head in a gentle pat. He was feeling fair excitable, perhaps because of the ability to talk to Goku like that even though he took a while to get there. Giving a nod to Takeshi, he smiled away before turning his attention to the others, seeing them talking to a strange little cricket thing that could talk.

Kai definitely had mixed feelings about Goku, especially the way he was treating the King in such a manner. It was as if the guy knew him well enough to know how he acted, something that was definitely worrying enough considering how much was already hidden behind the scenes. Looking to Kabocha before to Choi, he just couldn’t understand how Takeshi and his friends could trust someone like Goku when there was definitely a lot going on behind their backs. He was probably overthinking it, definitely something that wasn’t wise when the man was doing them a great favour by relieving the chains the King had them under.

Choi stared down Gregory with a bit of a grin on his face upon seeing the little creature become insulted. It was a little amusing, hearing this little creature with the goofy voice getting all upset over a little side comment. Giving a quick look to T’charrl, it was fairly evident that he didn’t know what was going on and was looking a little worried that something had gone wrong while it was all for good laughs. They could use a laugh right now and with the other guy gone there was no other source other than teasing Gregory, seeing him pathetically try to intimidate him before his eyes went to Yumi, raising an eyebrow at what she was suggesting. Good thing he was able to shut down her suggestion, if a little bit on the mean side before he looked back to Gregory, grinning, “Wow, never seen a bug get upset before! Except maybe T’charrl, but he’d probably be able to squish you under his foot”, he snickered before letting out a sigh, “Shame you feel the need to play servant to a King, though…I mean, I’m just leaving a King’s service and he’d probably squash you with his finger if you ever tried to serve him!”

It certainly seemed like a while since Goku left, especially when he could only spend limited time in the living world because of the restrictions. It was fairly difficult to get to the planet for one and find these individuals with this energy, he had to be especially careful not to miss one of them out or be spotted by a guard. He was well aware that if he was killed in the living world he’d be gone for good and disappear from existence, but it was highly unlikely that he’d be killed by someone living; however, traps and chemical change would probably do it.

The search had been fairly difficult, the energy was hard to keep a hold of and not to mention the fact the twins and Kabocha’s energy would take him away from his target because of their similarities. He was really trying hard to be sneaky about it, but when it came down to it he simply grabbed hold of the twin’s father while he was hard at work, disappear, appear by Kabocha’s mother and father respectively before taking hold of them and following the energy of Takeshi and Shu immediately instead of concentrating on the same energy pull. It was certainly a lot of work, especially disregarding the yells of surprise and words flying at him questioning who he was before he immediately left again.

As quickly as he had disappeared from Kortal, Goku reappeared behind the group as they all argued into the portal at Gregory. Letting go of the adults before having to mutter an apology as the twin’s father fell to the ground in surprise, he looked down to see his body quickly fading away, “Oh, uhh…” he stuttered before quickly turning himself to the group, giving a quick wave, “Uhhh hi guys! Hey Shu! Hey Takes-“

Sure enough Goku had vanished, but reappearing on the other side of the portal was Goku again anyway, his brief vanishing away only taking him back to the Otherworld, his hand raised awkwardly in the air, “-shi…ohh, uhhh. Well, better than expected, right…?”

Gregory was positively fuming by now, at his ends with Choi. What a rude little Saiyan he was turning out to be, definitely not one of Goku's relatives. Now he could see it being one of Vegeta's, though there was pretty much a carbon copy of that man already, so he doubted that. Whoever he was he had a mouth on him and it was driving the little sprite nuts. There was a lot that he could take in the way of taunts, he'd heard it all over the goodness knows how many years he had been on this planet. The one thing he still absolutely would not stand for was King Kai being made fun of. He was fiercely loyal to the Shin-jin after all, and Gregory would defend the man's honor even against an opponent leagues stronger than he was. Buffing out his chest the little sprite put his hands on his hips, not bothering to back down at all.

"Hmph, there's no shame in serving a GOOD king by choice! My king is honorable, there's nothing wrong with that at all! It's much better than serving that nasty Saiyan you call a king, that's for sure!" Still steaming from the argument Gregory nearly started in on Choi again. When a familiar orange figure appeared behind the kids though he quickly shut his mouth, clasping his little claws over it. He was all the willing to smack talk someone he didn't know, but when it was someone like Goku, someone he knew for certain would wipe the floor with him, then he'd just back right off of that. He'd want none of what that was going to be, nope!

Caught by surprise it took everyone a second to realize just what had happened. Takeshi only just looked over his shoulder to see Goku vanish into thin air, hearing him once more from beyond the portal. That had been a lot quicker than any of them had expected it to be, they had definitely gone to the right guy. He wasn't too sure what had happened until he heard some grumbling behind him, looking back yet again confused to see who it was. Sure enough three adult Saiyans were sprawled out on the ground looking disoriented and confused as anything. He had to hide an amused snicker behind his hand, watching as one of them fell down after trying to get up. It worked then, their plan went off flawlessly. That was a huge relief, and it now meant that they were completely free from the king's influence. Shy of him holding Earth hostage he couldn't exert any more control over them, which was great. If Takeshi felt this good, he mused, he couldn't even begin to imagine how the others felt.

Kabocha too had turned about to see what all the commotion was about. Sure enough his parents were there, both looking like they'd just had one hell of a ride getting here. His father, a stockier man with a goatee was still dressed in a noble set of clothes; a purple shirt tucked into his black trousers, its design influenced by some crazy old religion they had come across before. He looked to be positively winded for some reason, laid out on his back staring up at the sky. His mother on the other hand was on her backside, looking around herself equally as baffled. Her long red hair was tied back in a ponytail and she wore a basic set of Saiyan battle armor. She wasn't all that powerful by any means, but definitely the fighter of the two. After collecting her thoughts the woman looked up at her son, clueless for a moment before she adopted a look of anger.

"Kabocha?! Just what in the hell did you do? Where are we?" she snapped, pushing herself to her feet and stumbling slightly. "I was busy training, what is this?!"

"We just saved your life mom, no need to thank me," Kabocha retorted, huffing as he folded his arms and turned away from the woman. "Unless you want to go back, we can always drop you off. I figured you'd enjoy being free and, you know, NOT being oppressed for a change?"

The father, who had finally managed to get to his feet, exhaled deeply as he wiped at his face. He wasn't a combatant, not in the slightest, merely a politician. So it was a safe bet to say that, as far as Saiyans went, he was out of shape. Heck, he could even be out of shape as far as humans were concerned too, just with a bit larger than average strength behind his girth.

"Now Mizuna, let's not do anything hasty... We're slightly out numbered here..." the man warned, frowning as he looked around at the others. He recognized Kai and Choi instantly, and the two Princes thereafter. The rest however were unfamiliar to him and he wasn't especially keen on making any enemies right now.

"Oh for the love of... Have some backbone, will you Gobo?" Mizuna snapped, glaring at her husband before putting her hands on her hips, returning her gaze onto Kabocha. "I don't care if you might be stronger than me young man. Tell me precisely what is going on now or I'm going to smack you."

"You're on an alien world, for starters," Kabocha began, quickly relenting to his mother's demands. "And uh... We sort of stole you from the King. So you're free now, you don't work for him anymore. We're going to find you a new place to live and... Uh..." The Saiyan paused, glancing between the dumbfounded look that his parents were sharing at that moment. "What...?"

So was that what parents were like then? Takeshi was so confused, maybe Saiyans weren't the best reference. Every single set of parents he'd seen from Saiyans were either totally passive and wimps or were fiery like Kabocha's mother. On the other hand human parents weren't much different, though if he remembered they tended to be a little more on the passive side. It was hard to know then what to expect from their own mother with so many different kinds of people to base her off of. For Shu's sake alone he hoped she turned out to be a nice lady, he wouldn't fare too well with a nasty one. Takeshi certainly wouldn't mind having a nice mother too, he wouldn't be totally against a little coddling for the first time in his life. With an amused smile he opted to let his squad sort out their parents, looking back to the screen where Goku stood, smiling happily.

"Thanks a ton Goku, we couldn't have done that very easily on our own." Their only way of doing it would be going to Kortal itself, and that probably meant fighting with an Elite or two, or worse still the King. Goku circumvented the need to fight, and now they even had a head start on getting the parents to safety. "Uh... Listen... I've gotta ask something before you go off somewhere..." Takeshi leaned in to the screen, cupping one hand around his mouth as he spoke in a hushed tone. "Think you can teach me to do that sometime...? It seems so cool, and it could be helpful. Then we wouldn't have to call you every time we need help either."

Choi was having a fair fun time teasing the little bug, especially when he had managed to upset Yumi with his bad manners. Nobody should have to be insulted by such a little cretin. Staring at the creature as he rolled off his tongue about how good and able his own King was, he chuckled a little before letting out a sigh, shaking his head, “Like I’m serving him anymore! I’ll be free to make my own choices…and what do you have? Fly around your little place fifty times before you get bored? Heh! Okay”, he spoke, grinning a little, “It’s funny; you say he’s a ‘good’ King, but he says he has better things to do than be here instead of you”.

The sound of things falling in the background did manage to distract Choi from annoying Gregory, quickly turning around instead to see what the thump was. He could see his father lying on the ground with Kabocha’s parents and Goku’s image as it faded away. The sight of such a thing was immediately uplifting, even as his father made a struggle to get up after his surprise movement through space. Goku had done as they asked and pretty well too; there was no way anybody would ever had been able to follow him and with it, it all meant they were finally free from his reign. Rushing over to his father’s side shortly followed by Kai, he helped up his father without caring about the state he was in.

Their father was fairly clean other than his hands, a few scars on his face showing evidence of the occasional struggle to keep alive through beatings if ever something went wrong. There was a rule amongst the cooks that they were to dress with as much respect as they would have for the King, but ‘respect’ didn’t mean so much as it should had when it actually meant if they got filthy, they were contaminating the food with disgust too. He was fair disorientated; he was working in a dim light before suddenly there was a man with a halo and suddenly he was here in the sunlight.W-Where am I? Boys?? What-…”

“Father! You’re alright! You’re safe”, Kai spoke quickly, pulling his father to his feet. The man was a little taller than the twins, but they weren’t exactly tall anyway, “You were teleported away from the palace…you don’t have to work to the bone anymore. We freed you, and us…”

Their father looked fairly confused, not looking as if he had a clue what they were talking about or was retrieving that information very slowly. It was definitely a struggle to comprehend, going from simply preparing food to being out in the open and on the grass of some unknown planet. Then there was the ‘free’ part; that couldn’t had been possible, he could tell that to himself all day and know that wasn’t true, “Freed? What? That’s nonsense. I am pretty sure I hit my head because it was some dead guy who took me away right then!”

Looking to Gregory, it looked like he had managed to entertain the kids enough to keep them around and not get distracted by something else, something so easy for young Saiyans to do. Goku thought he had done a good days work right there and deserved something for doing such a noble deed, in other words he was looking forward to enjoying his dinner when it was made. Giving Gregory a curious look at the sight of him slightly cowering and acting suspicious, he turned his attention to Takeshi who immediately spoke up, giving his thanks over what was done, “No problem! I’m lucky I wasn’t caught, really!” he chuckled, giving a little wave before stopping, staring at Takeshi instead. It was an awfully strange thing to ask in a hushed tone, he even had to lean forward to try and understand what he was saying. Tilting his head a little he pulled back, scratching his face, “You mean the Instant Transmission? I can’t, but…oh! Oh wait, Planet Yardrat was destroyed over 40 years ago…”, he spoke, scratching his cheek a little before halting, “Oh! Wait! There was also the asteroids that fell to Earth with a fair population of them on it, huh? You have aliens living on your planet until they can be granted citizenship and allowed to build their permanent city there. You’ll have to do some searching of Earth for the Yardratians if you wanna learn it…”

Takeshi was enthusiastic about Goku being back, it meant the plan worked. What a huge relief it was to have his squad's families safe at last, it was a massive weight off not only his shoulders but probably theirs as well. That guy was incredible, no doubt about it, he was a sure bet for whenever they were in a pinch. With all the help that Goku had given them it was beginning to become a little difficult to remember precisely why he idolized Vegeta in the first place. Sure, the man was powerful too, and he had this sort of stoic, prideful demeanor that Takeshi had idolized when he was younger. Now, after having a family for some time and getting a better idea of how things were supposed to work he was finding Goku a much better role model and idol. He'd always revere Vegeta to some degree, the man was great in his own right, but really not the kind of guy a kid should be striving to be like. As much as they were all grateful for Goku's help the older boy realized that realistically they couldn't always count on him for assistance. It was sheer luck they'd gotten in touch with him this time, and goodness knows how they'd manage if T'charrl wasn't around. One of them then could definitely make use of instant transmission, if they ever needed it again. Takeshi had to try and ask then, for his and the others sakes.

"Really? There are some of those people living on Earth?" Takeshi repeated, eyebrows raised in surprise. He'd never seen a single one in all his life, though it wasn't as if he knew what they looked like anyways. When they returned home he'd have to keep an eye out, perhaps ask around. If nothing else he could always go to Dende and ask for their location, surely the Earth's guardian could pick them out. Instant transmission would definitely be helpful to have, it'd mean if they were ever in a pinch they'd have a way out of it. "I do, I do want to learn! You've helped us so much with it!" Takeshi continued, smiling brightly as he balled his hands up. "We can do a lot with that kind of ability, so I'll definitely track them down. Thanks!"

"Seriously, what's wrong with being saved? I thought you two would be happy to be gone!" Kabocha groaned, smacking his own forehead. "Are you even going to thank me? I mean the king was probably going to kill you two, you know. I think that deserves a thanks."

"I was about to get a promotion Kabocha, and now I can't even go back to being a private at this point," Mizuna chided, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes. "My military career is ruined, and now I'm as much a heretic as those rebels. And whose to say the king was going to kill us?"

"My illustrious career... All my things... Gone..." Gobo whined, sinking down onto his knees and grabbing his head fitfully. "Years of collecting, all those expensive purchases, now they're going to be plundered and sold off! My wealth gone!"

Kabocha couldn't believe his parents, they were complaining about the most ridiculous of things. Seriously, they were alive, wasn't that good enough? So what if they weren't getting a promotion, or lost a few items, those weren't important. If he could put aside his ambition and recognize that then by all means his folks ought to be able to do the same. Shaking his head he looked over to his two friends, smiling faintly as he gestured to his own parents.

"Want to trade guys? Buy one get one free."

Gregory, who had been hovering idly by since Goku's return now had a rather surprised look on his face. Seeing something off screen he floated over to the Saiyan's side, grabbing his shirt sleeve and giving it a tugging to try and get his attention, gesturing to the direction he had been looking. Vegeta was on his way back, rather quickly at that, and being tailed by another two individuals. It was hard to recognize the two that were following behind the man, at first anyways. As they closed in and Vegeta landed first Gregory got a better look at his companions, eyes wider than usual in surprise. So he'd brought those two all the way here, but why? Looking at the screen he instantly figured it out, wondering if it was such a good idea. Raising a hand and opening his mouth to say something about it he instead squealed as he was shoved off screen and the Saiyan took his place.

"Where is my grandson? Or great-grandson...? Whatever he is, where is he?" Vegeta snapped, edging his way into the screen. Vegeta Jr came back into the shot, having taken aside Yumi to let her cool off after Gregory's comments. He was there, and so was Viral, perfect. Smiling proudly the Saiyan stood up, giving Goku a small pushing as he got both himself and his rival off of the screen to let the others come on. "Before you kids go run off again, I found a few people that need to have a word with Viral and my grandson. So keep your damn mouths shut for a second, will you?"

"Honestly grandfather... Do you have to talk like that to them?"

Vegeta Jr looked at the empty screen in shock, looking like he had just seen a ghost. That voice, it sounded eerily familiar. He almost wanted to place it but was afraid too, perhaps terrified he was going to be disappointed. Then a figure walked on screen, and he could swear his heart had stopped. It was another Saiyan, perhaps thirty years of age at most, dressed in a simple white shirt and pair of jeans. His hair was short and cropped, though there were hints of all too familiar widows peaks prevalent in his hairline. The hair itself was a light black, almost gray color, resembling both his father and grandfather's hues. No doubt about it, he knew exactly who this man was. For the first time in 17 years he was face to face with none other than his father. Simply too shocked to say anything at the moment all Vegeta Jr could do was take a small step back, jaw hanging slightly as he blinked wordlessly.

"Nice to see you too, son." Aito joked lightly, smiling at Vegeta Jr. Putting his hands on his hips he chuckled a bit, looking off screen and gesturing someone else over to meet him. A woman of roughly the same age then joined him on screen, sporting short blonde hair and a vibrant pair of blue eyes. She wore a black sleeveless shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans, dressed a fair bit younger than perhaps she should be. Standing at Aito's side the young Saiyan was again thrown through another loop, this was his mother. Why were they here now all of a sudden?

"M-Mom...? Dad...? I... I don't understand..." What reason had they been brought here? He knew they were dead, he didn't need to see them for closure. Sure he missed them, but was this supposed to solve anything? If Vegeta had a reason for bringing them here then it was beyond his grandson to figure out. "What are you doing here...? I mean... I'm happy to see you... But why?"

Aito smiled gently as he put an arm around June's waist, looking at her for a moment before back to their child. There was so much they'd like to say right now, and a lot they wanted to know. They had been able to observe him to some degree over the years but this was the first time in a long while they'd seen him at all. They would love to chat with him for hours on end if they could, but there were things they had to do.

"We were asked to come here for something, since it seems like somebody needs our help. So son, please excuse us just for a minute, we need to do this." Aito looked around on the screen for any signs of the Beastman, disappointed when he couldn't spot him right away. "Viral...? Are you still there? It's Aito, can we talk please?"

Goku felt somewhat satisfied, even if the kid with both his parents seemed to be having trouble getting his to like their new founded freedom. It seemed he managed to pick up a couple of high class Saiyans and that was a little worrying, but none of them could comprehend what was happening or the fact that they could do whatever they wanted now. If they wanted to go back then they could go back, so long as they knew they would be welcomed with open arms by the end of it. Letting out a sigh as he slowly scratched his head, his attention went back to Takeshi as he further contemplated the situation and where he could possibly learn the technique.

“Well, yeah! It’s been covered up ever since the asteroids crashed just incase the people would get worried and try to kill them instead; it’s tough being a little spaceman crashing on a little planet like Earth, huh?” he spoke only to laugh, probably at some insider joke he had with that little comment, “Ahhh…but uhh, yeah! If you can find them, then go for it! They might appreciate the fact that you’ve not tried hunting them down yourself just to hurt them; they’re very smart and with a big appetite, so be nice to them and don’t try to fool them”.

Kai was fairly amused by how Kabocha’s parents were acting, seeing them acting all snobby and high class like that; now, they were on his level and they better get used to being on the lower end of the spectrum and away from the King’s shadow. Folding his arms a little as he watched them, he let out a sigh and shook his head, turning to his father and helping to dust him off. His father definitely seemed confused by what was happening or where he was, but then again going from dim light to bright daylight definitely managed to mess with the senses, “Are you okay, father? Sorry for the sudden rescue too, but the offer was right there”.

Pushing away Kai lightly before wiping his hands down his sides, he looked to the twins curiously with little understanding to what he was saying, finding it a little hard to comprehend that he had done nothing other than faint at work. He needed to try and wake up from this, but the sore feeling in his tail told him that he had indeed fallen on his back end. Staring down at his sons, he could only feel confused to what was going on, “…Huh? Wait, what’s going on? Why am I here…? Where am I specifically?”

Choi shoved his brother gently but was promptly shoved back, “Heh! Well, it’s a planet full of big bugs; plenty far away from Kortal and away from the King”, he nodded, looking over to Kabocha and his parents, “I don’t know about those two, but we wanted to save you from the King’s torment when he found out we defected. We just don’t want to end up as experiments, dad…”

Kai gave a nod, letting out a sigh before looking to Kabocha, grinning a little, “Keep them! I’m not ready to take on a big responsibility like that”, he spoke, giving a little shrug, “Don’t you need to learn how to be responsible, anyway? Gotta get that live experience to survive in the world, you know?”

Shu had been giddy the entire time that Goku returned and spoke his name, feeling all sorts of happy at the moment. He was definitely having a fun time with this all, everything seemed nice and pleasant, all except for one thing. Viral seemed really bummed out, not even looking to see what had happened and keeping to himself fairly well. He had turned away from the group and was back to lying down. It was a little sad, but he should at least be better once they managed to find a doctor for him to get over whatever he had. Letting out a sigh, he looked back to Goku, feeling a little surprised when Vegeta was back and with someone else instead.

Viral didn’t know what he was supposed to do right now and didn’t appreciate anybody being around him anymore, his first concern being to go to sleep and hope for a better day; that was, if he could even get to sleep. It was more than a little discouraging when you were trying to apologise to the very source of your purpose only for them to fly off and forget anything was mentioned. He wasn’t what you would call ‘content’ right now, his mind finding it a little difficult to cope with everything piling on top of him right now.

Just wanting to find time for himself, Viral moved his arm over his ear to try and block out all that was being said, not feeling like he wanted to bother listening to any of this as he felt as if he was fairly useless right now and was just here because he couldn’t move very well yet. Keeping his eyes shut tight, he moved a little when Vegeta Jr shifted for some reason, he let out a sigh as he shifted himself a little, keeping his arm to his head before he flinched a little, hearing his name through the forced silence he was under. He recognised that voice, rolling over a little to see before he slowly pushed his body up, his eyes staring at the portal.

“Aito…?” he muttered, looking confused to whom he was staring at yet somehow managing to spark something within him. While he knew who Vegeta was, the memory of whom Vegeta Jr’s parents were only brought on fuzzy memories that he couldn’t understand or make sense from. There was something there, but he just couldn’t understand and it was pulling him away from their forms. Growling a little he slowly moved back, lowering his head a little, “No…don’t look at me, don’t talk to me…”

"Hurt them...? Now why would anyone hurt them...?" That just wasn't fair, he couldn't get why anyone would attack the Yardratians. Then again humans had proven time and time again to fear the unknown. They had freaked out when Viral had been in the city, and even before when Takeshi was living on his own. A stupid reaction, especially when it was hostile. Considering how he used to be and how Viral could be it was a miracle no one had their head knocked off for saying something or trying to attack out of fright. Smiling at Goku the young Saiyan nodded his head, rubbing at the bottom of his nose sheepishly. "I won't hurt them, I swear. Give me a little credit will you? I've gotten better." Takeshi reached over and slung an arm around Shu's shoulders, wondering if his sibling might want to learn the technique as well. Rather than ask though he looked back to the portal, noticing how his brother was focused on it. Vegeta had come back from his little trip, and apparently he'd brought someone with him.

Vegeta Jr wasn't too sure how he should feel about seeing his parents again. It was nice no doubt, it had been almost two decades since he had looked at anything other than a simple photo or watched an old family video. It was a refreshing change of pace, even if they were literally a world away from him right now. Seeing them now also made it a little more painful, as it was a reminder of just how much he missed them. A greeting from his father was enough for him to sit on for the time being, there were other people that the Saiyan wanted to speak to. There was so much to talk about, but he'd have to wait his turn. Looking over at Viral he smiled a bit, going over to join Yumi sitting off to the side. Whatever they had to talk about was their business alone, he'd respect that.

"That's right Viral, it's me. Nice to see you again." Aito chimed, smiling gently again. To his dismay the Beastman didn't seem to share his sentiments, quickly beginning to back off and away from the Saiyan, averting his gaze. "Why can't I speak to you? We came here to see you and our son, will you honor our wishes? If it's too much to ask then we understand."

"There's no reason to be afraid, Viral." June spoke this time, smiling sweetly as she let go of her husband, walking closer to the screen and looking directly at the Beastman. "Please talk to us? We've missed both of you so much, it's why we came. To see our son, and to see you. What's the matter? You can talk to us, you know you can."

Takeshi watched Viral with an air of curiosity, not exactly understanding what was going on at first. When it was made apparent that these were Vegeta Jr's parents it hit him like a brick wall, his jaw dropping in surprise. Those two were definitely dead, by the Beastman's hand, This was a really, really awkward meeting then. Deciding then it was probably best to follow their friend's lead he gently took Shu's hand, leading him away from the screen and back towards the house, dropping down on his rear on the grass and gesturing for the other boy to do the same. No point in getting in the middle of this conversation.

"Viral... Listen to me, we want to talk to you, we really do," Aito said, smiling sadly. "What's keeping you from us? You used to be more than happy to see us. Is it over what happened?"

Shu wasn’t exactly sure what was going on, giving his brother a quick look when he placed his arm around him and gave a little smile before looking back to the portal. It was odd to see dead people all the time like this, but it was definitely strange that these people had been taken over by Vegeta of all people to try and straighten things out with Viral. Looking between them curiously, he eventually looked up to Takeshi before he was gradually taken away from his spot, giving the portal a quick wave as he was led away. It was probably best that they all got quiet time together, even if it appeared T’charrl had to remain to keep the portal open. Hopefully things would work out well, but he knew there was no guarantee when Viral was looking pretty moody.

Viral shouldn’t be looking at Vegeta Jr’s parents or anyone for that matter, his shame extending far beyond those reaches and hindering any possible hope of a warm reunion. He had torn them apart last time, even with his memory fuzzy and only the confirmation coming through which made the situation even worse. He could barely handle it right now when there was not much he could do to make up for them now seeing as how they were dead. It was a mystery to why they wanted to talk to him, bringing on a fairly large portion of anger towards himself for being unable to properly respond to them.

Slowly shaking his head as he hid his face from them, he barely felt confident enough to continue to be around them. He should be going where everyone else was, leaving Vegeta Jr with them considering they were his parents and he was simply their murderer. Letting out a groan at Aito’s words, he slowly pulled the modified scouter off his ear before he heard June’s voice, his eyes turning back for a moment but soon looking away again gradually.

He wasn’t afraid; he had no reason to be afraid apart from giving them the respect he should had given them all those years ago. He shouldn’t have to look at them through this portal at all, and yet there they were, dead and leaving Vegeta Jr without parents all because of him. Growling lowly, he slowly shook his head before turning to look at June, giving her barely a glance, “Why would you want to see someone like me rather than your own son…” he muttered, looking away again, “Shouldn’t you want to see me over your own flesh and blood!”

It was already fairly hard to listen to them, but it was hard to stop himself from doing so. They were still his creators and they held authority over him. Looking back when Aito spoke again, he growled lowly as he shifted back submissively, “I killed you in cold blood! I don’t know how you don’t see a problem with that! Why would you want to talk to me…? Why do you smile at me knowing full well what I did! I failed you as your creation! You can’t be that forgiving, I know even your son still feels bitter inside over what I did, even if he denies and hides it…”

"We want to see Vegeta too of course, but he's going to be okay if he waits a few minutes. We're more concerned about you." Aito could see clear as day how disturbed Viral was right now. He knew the Beastman inside and out, and to him it didn't need to be said that something was greatly bothering the man. Taking a stab in the dark he brought up their deaths, seeming to hit the nail right on the head. It had been such a long time since it had all happened, and yet Viral was still clearly beating himself up over it. Perhaps it was high time they lay down the facts and tell him what had really gone on. Maybe they could absolve him of guilt and he could be happy again.

"You're wrong Viral," Aito continued, shaking his head and lifting a hand to rub at his head. "You didn't kill us, at least not intentionally. Let me explain and maybe you'll understand." Looking over at June for a second he reached over, taking her hand in his before looking back at the Beastman. "When creating you we had run into a lot of roadblocks. Some DNA wouldn't fit with others and we couldn't get your genome to work properly. We actually had quite a few unsuccessful attempts at creating a Beastman before you, many that didn't even get past the zygotic stage. It was obvious that while we had the basic blueprints we were missing key components, we needed help. After some searching we found that help from another scientist. Former Red Ribbon Army bio-engineer Doctor Vendel Hirsch. He had done extensive research in artificial life before and had some of the missing parts that we needed. It wasn't the whole picture, but between myself, Doctor Hirsch and Doctor Ikura we managed to put the puzzle together. With three scientists working for day on end for nearly two years we finally managed to get a successful cell culture, which eventually would turn into an embryo, and later a fetus. Before we know it that fetus was maturing at an unbelievable rate and would turn into the world's first successful Beastman, you."

"Things were amazing, the first few weeks that you were 'born'. We had given you knowledge through neural tubes, almost like putting information into a computer. We gave you everything you would need to successfully protect Earth, what would become your home. Martial arts skills, survival skills, general academics, medical knowledge. Much of what you know is from that, though you're also blessed with an incredible ability to learn. You quickly began to pick up on nuances of human life, and went from being shy and detached to one of the family. You were as much a part of our lives as a child was, and we even treated you as such, even if you were near our age physically. It shouldn't be much surprise then that when Vegeta was born you were hand picked by us to watch him when we were busy, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The two of you together were ideal, you got along incredibly well and were almost inseparable. We knew we'd made the right choice, no doubt about it. Vegeta would have a playmate, then one day a teacher and later on an ally when it came to fighting, everything we could possibly hope for had come true."

Aito smiled sadly, taking a pause in his monologue to look back to June. They shared a silent, knowing gaze for a moment before he looked at Viral again, his smile wavering. "Unfortunately, not everyone had the same agenda. While it had been made clear what the intent of the project was initially it seems as though Doctor Hirsch had ulterior motives. With the resurgence of the Red Ribbon Army his old loyalties called to him and he went back to his old ways of things, hell bent on dominating the world under his and his comrades rule. He knew full well that with your creation it'd be nigh impossible for them to achieve anything, you would be too powerful. So they had to do the only thing they could think of to ensure their success. At some point he made a fail safe in your DNA, an anomaly that we hadn't seen. That anomaly was your transformation, or rather... A trigger for it. Under certain duress you change, as you've probably noticed. But you maintain control over yourself usually, that's the fail safe that I put in. Hirsch found a means to increase your aggression by dulling the nerves in the amygdala... Erm... The part of your brain that controls impulse. Since you have ingrained animal behaviors in you it was that part of your brain that keeps the violence in check. With his chemicals he could trigger this on cue and force a transformation with unbridled rage and blood lust. If he could get myself and Doctor Ikura out of the way he could have you as a weapon, and he had the means to do it. So... He did."

Aito saw no need to go on with that little bit. Everyone present probably knew the rest, and he certainly didn't want to revisit the matter. He wasn't going to make Viral go through it again, clearly the Beastman was feeling at fault for what had been done. Well, now was the time to clear the air and let his conscience be at ease at last.

"My point is this; It was not your fault. You quite literally had no control over your actions that day. In fact, I vividly remember you resisting as best you could, you knew full well what would happen if things were taken from your control. If anyone is to blame for what became of us it's Doctor Hirsch, not yourself. You were a tool for him, a means for him to get what he wanted. None of what went on was your fault."

"And that's why we forgive you, wholeheartedly. And it's why we don't think you failed us." June began, smiling gently at Viral. "You had done everything we had hoped for, better than we could have hoped for. The fact that you became a victim of a madman's plot doesn't change that. In fact, I shouldn't even say that we forgive you, because we never blamed you in the first place for any of it. We just haven't been able to tell you that until now." Hopefully some of what was being said would help, the Beastman so desperately needed to have his mind put at ease. She could see it in his features, in the very way he held himself, he was at the lowest point of his life. "Please, hear us out Viral. We want to help you because we consider you our family too. We consider you to be a child as every bit as we do Vegeta, don't you see that? To us you're another son, and we could never hate you, or shun you. We just want you to be happy, that's all we've wanted," June added, smiling tearfully as she rubbed at her eyes with the back of her hand. "I know that after hearing this Vegeta won't stay angry, and we only hope the two of you can be close again, like you used to be."

Viral didn’t want to feel cowardly upon seeing Aito and June on the other side of the portal, but his fear over what they might think of him was definitely overpowering to the point where he became a scared little cat afraid of judgement. They had died at his hands and there they were on the other side with the power to order him to destroy himself if they so wished it, his own memories of them clouded to the point where he couldn’t even remember their personalities. He wished he could remember to give some understanding to how they worked, and then he wouldn’t be the snivelling coward he was now.

Viral couldn’t look at them, his anticipation to their memories suddenly coming back to them and the realisation that they shouldn’t treat him as anything less than a murderer growing a little; however, Aito was quick to call him ‘wrong’. He felt confused, his eyes looking up at Aito but quickly averting his eyes away, frowning a little as he placed his hand over his chest. He felt confused all over again, not entirely sure what he was supposed to feel right now as he spoke instead about his origins. He didn’t know how he was created, he wasn’t able to pick up on that knowledge when that information had been lost, but upon hearing about it he couldn’t help but feel confused knowing that they went and asked a former RRA member.

Slowly lowering his head again, he held his breath for a moment. He couldn’t remember anything regarding the first few years of his life, everything they were telling him was just coming up blank in the most painful of ways. He should remember all of that, but just like the reason for killing Vegeta’s parents he could only believe that it was true. He was so promising and yet he turned out so badly, something that still burned in his mind that labelled him a failure of an experiment.

The brief pause had him slightly startled, his eyes looking to Aito and June. He didn’t understand, his mind feeling only lost over what was to be said next. Lowering his head slightly, he kept his eyes averted for a moment before looking up at the mention of this Doctor Hirsch, a confused look appearing on his face. Of course it was that man who would be the downfall of his seemingly perfect start, everything taken away from him in those few short years. Staring down at his hands as they shook, knowing that his own DNA had the one problem that was beginning to reoccur again. He didn’t know why he was given it when a former RRA man was also in charge of the project, the problem lying in his brain of all places. He was naturally a killer and all they managed to do was enable a trigger to keep it back; however, that trigger was failing again and the only way he was going again was back into that animalistic behaviour.

Looking back to Aito and June, he stared at them as Aito spoke, his expression dropping pretty heavily before he lowered his head. Everything that had changed his life completely was because he couldn’t stop himself, just like he said, yet they still forgave him for trying after all these years. Slowly raising his claws to his face, he could feel the water y build up coming from his face before he shut his eyes, sniffling a little bit. He was emotionally torn, his tough curtain ripped away as he broke down. He wish he could had done more for them, but because of his existence they had been removed from the face of the Earth along with Vegeta Jr’s grandfather in one mad loss of control thanks to this Doctor.

Jerking his head from side to side in a rough headshake, he lowered his head down before them, trying to hide his shame. That ‘madman’ was probably still out there, knowing full well what he had done and waiting for that moment where Viral would return to Earth to use him again if not using the lack of him to allow the RRA to grow. Compared to what they used to be, the RRA had definitely been able to get new technology that would win any of their wars and that was definitely dangerous. Holding his hand to his face he tried to stop the tears, feeling torn up even as June accepted him fully as part of their family, “How can I be happy…still knowing full well what happened…? They removed my memories of you…hidden from me! I can’t remember anything from before, I was locked away…my control being lost again!” Even with the voices pushed away for now and the treatment he was given by Vegeta to help repair the nerve damage, he still knew his control had gone before and he was a danger once more, “My abilities are only growing stronger…I have begun transforming and losing my mind once more…I can’t take it any longer! Not even your son knows what to do…”

Aito and June watched Viral disheartened, surprised by just how emotional he was getting. They wanted to make it perfectly clear that what had happened was not his fault, that he wasn't blamed for it and was never wrong to begin with. Even having said that he seemed to be having difficulty accepting that fact, or rather just accepting what they were telling him in general. Understandably he was confused, as anyone in his situation would be. There seemed to be many more problems than just guilt plaguing the Beastman now, issues that Aito admittedly hadn't foreseen. Being his creation though and versed well enough in medicine he knew how to fix Viral nonetheless.

"You probably can't remember any of it because your mind won't let you," Aito explained, lifting a hand to rub at his chin thoughtfully. "It sounds like you have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. That night, it's not something you want to think about, so your brain locked it away. Coincidentally it seems to have stored perhaps a bit more than that. Though I can't imagine why you would forget two and a half years just from a single event..."

Vegeta Jr came up to the screen then, smiling nervously as he stood by Viral. It was odd seeing the Beastman so emotional, he never showed this degree of expression before, unless it was anger or annoyance. "I might know what happened..." he offered, looking at the screen. "After... It occurred the scientists had subdued Viral. Doctor Ikura was still there, he managed to get Viral to calm down and they put him into a pod, for cryogenic sleep. I'm guessing... Something happened while he was in there that caused memory loss. Maybe some kind of damage?"

"Memory loss could be attributed to brain damage, no question about that..." Aito's mind was running at a hundred miles an hour now, trying to think things through on the spot. "The only issue with that theory though is with Viral's advanced healing he would have not kept the injury. Unless of course he was placed inside before the injury could be fixed. Unless we know precisely what happened to him before that fact then we can't say for certain what's causing it. And I can't quite come there and take a look at him..."

"Wait! Doctor Ikura should still be alive, he was only your age dad. We can definitely track him down back on Earth and ask him, he should know. Maybe since he helped work on Viral too he can fix this for us." Provided that the RRA hadn't gotten to Aito's old associate they would be able to find him and ask for help. Assuming the man was still sympathetic to Vegeta and his case they should have no problem getting him to agree either. Smiling at Viral then Vegeta Jr set a hand on his friend's back, giving it a gentle pat. "We'll solve this, don't worry. Even if I can't do it we'll find someone that can."

"As for your powers Viral... I think I can help with that as well..." Aito mused, smiling thoughtfully. "Your transformation is triggered by duress, as I said before. Considering what you've been through you're too tense, it's causing your energies to fluctuate uncontrollably. It's not unlike a Saiyan whose transformations can be triggered by rage, your emotions are strongly tied to your ability. So to regain control then you've got to become level headed, you need to stop berating yourself for all of your shortcomings and stop worrying that you're going to do something wrong again." Easier said than done certainly, but that was how it would become better. Once Viral could keep reign in on his emotions he wouldn't have to worry anymore. "Your powers are growing not because they're becoming stronger, it's because you're becoming stronger. Your abilities don't have an innate habit of growing, that's impossible. It's you who is more powerful. And once you're able to recognize that and be calm you won't have to worry about losing control."

"Viral, you will get better, we know you will. And we'll try to be here as much as we can to help, we swear. But this isn't something that we can do for you, as much as we want to. It's down to you and your friends to make it right, and we trust that you'll all do just that." June smiled sweetly again at the Beastman, hiding her distress behind the smile. He really was like a son to her, and seeing him so distraught broke her heart. What she wouldn't give at that moment to simply give him a hug and tell him everything would be okay. On a reflex she reached out as if to touch Viral, her hand hitting the window and pressing flat against it like glass. Disappointed she drew her hand back, holding it to her chest with a sigh.

"You have what it takes to beat this, son," June continued, blinking as a few tears fell unto her cheeks. "Just remember that mom and dad are watching over you even now, and we're rooting for you. I don't think anyone blames you for what happened, not anymore, and we all just want to see you be happy again. Go back to Earth with your friends, find Ikura, he'll make things right. And... You really should get used to calling Vegeta your brother... Because that's what he is."

"Your little brother no less," Aito joked lightly, smiling at Vegeta Jr's embarrassed blush. "You two need to take care of each other now that we're gone, okay? So long as you've got one another things will work out, and that's not even to mention all the friends you've made. Never feel like you're alone Viral, or that you have to do everything yourself. There's always people there for you, for the good and bad."

Vegeta, who had been quiet the majority of the time, gave a small roll of his eyes at Aito's last few words. Why had his family suddenly gone as soft as Kakarot's after his passing? Being more compassionate was fine, he'd become more that himself over the years. He had still retained his Saiyan demeanor, for the most part. His kin had become so human it seemed that they were scarcely Saiyan any longer, if only by birth. Even so, he'd be lying if said he didn't want Viral to get better as well. The man was a great warrior, it was a shame to lose someone of his caliber. And with all the trouble that Earth had been and no doubt would be facing they would need all the help they could get. Viral's home, Vegeta's home too, couldn't lose one of their greatest, not again.

"I'm sorry we can't give you something more to help, Viral. Until you get back to Earth don't be afraid to ask someone for help, or let them help you. They care, that's all, and nobody is going to think of you less for it." Aito then looked to T'charrl, curious about the Kaesstrian. "You're the one keeping this up, yes? How are you feeling?"
