Kai frowned at Kabocha a little; the guy really didn’t know how twins were or how genetics worked, “Choi has the exact same genes and genetic makeup, what do you think?” he sighed, giving him a quick shake of the head, “We just don’t have the same personality, of course…” It was a little embarrassing, being thought of as a clone rather than still being individuals who shared the same genes. Frowning, he looked to Kabocha when he put his arm around him, looking down at his chest. Feeling a little annoyed, he looked to him with a frown, “How very encouraging”, he grumbled, letting out a sigh, “It’s still no secret that you’re pretty terrible at getting girls too, so I have no idea how you’re supposed to help me get good with girls when you can’t even woo them”.

Kai didn’t really know or care whether Vegeta was preoccupied, but it was still a fact that the guy didn’t actually show any real emotion on the call. He didn’t really understand Earthlings that much, especially considering if somebody in their society heard that their battle partner was possibly close to death they’d be showing some sort of emotion over the communicator, “Still, you’d think he’d at least go ‘oh’ or something, but nope; he was just all ‘well he’s in the tank so whatever’”, he spoke, shrugging a little. He didn’t know what he was supposed to make of the man, whether he had any care for the Beastman; then again, Viral was a pain in the neck with his moaning and problems, it was a wonder that they hadn’t just put him into a coma and messed around with his brain to fix him up.

Looking to Kabocha at the mention of Choi, he glared at him as he watched him wander in his path, continuing to walk even though he was currently facing him. Already peeved off by what he was saying, he stepped over the line a little, “Don’t say that! And don’t assume I’ll be able to tell just because we’re twins!” he spoke quickly, becoming flustered, “I won’t get jealous…he’s my brother! He deserves to be happy, even without me if he wishes! If he wants a girl then he’s allowed a girl. Why? Does my solitude amuse you? The fact that I’ll be lonely makes you feel happy enough to joke about it?”

Choi gave a quick nod, pressing his fingers together, “I don’t know, don’t you think you deserve it? I mean, you were locked up by the King and you now have cute fuzzy ears”, he spoke, smiling a little, “You deserve some sort of relaxation, you know?” While he didn’t mean to exclude the others that had suffered, he still felt that Yumi deserved at least something and she’d probably like some privacy too. Watching her as she gave Shu a little bit of reassurance, he soon looked around and gave a little scratch of his head before he looked back to Yumi when she had finished with him, giving a little nod before he gasped when he was taken by the hand and pulled off down the corridor.

This was a really nice feeling inside him, smiling widely as he was dragged away by her. He didn’t know how to feel about this, but it definitely felt nice and he was pretty happy about it. Staring at her hand the entire way, he looked back a little with curiosity as his father went to take a room. Deciding to move forward quickly, he moved with her over to a door, pressing on the button to open it up, “We can go in here”, he nodded, entering the door with her. He didn’t know what she wanted to talk about, but he was eager to find out.

Shu didn’t know how to feel right now and while he had been comforted by Yumi about it, he still felt pretty lonely. Everyone was spread throughout the ship and when looking up to T’charrl it was evident that he was feeling lonely too. They were just two lonely and lost kids at this point in a large ship and out of their comfort zones. Watching as Yumi wandered off with one of the twins, he looked up to T’charrl before he pressed on his scouter, not quite sure how it worked, “Takeshi…? I don’t know how to use this…but can friend T’charrl and I find you? We're lost...”

"Hey... I'm bad with women, I'll admit it," Kabocha said, putting his hands up defensively before smirking. "But at least I'm not acting like I'm allergic to them. I'll teach you confidence then, hows that? Really there isn't a single guy around here that's a true ladies man, we're all kinda hopeless romantics huh?" Or at least the rest of them were, somehow Choi of all people had looked to land himself a girlfriend. Yumi wasn't quite the kind of girl he had in mind for himself, she was much too fiery and frankly a bit intimidating, even before when she was just human. That didn't also count the fact her best friend Vegeta was pretty darn strong in his own right. Wrong that girl and you'd have him breathing down your neck, not to mention the Princes... And probably Viral too. Yikes.

Speaking of Vegeta, Kabocha really couldn't offer anything as to how the guy had handled the news. Viral was definitely in bad shape and by all means deserved some kind of attention from his friends. It could be the Saiyan mindset that made both himself and Kai think there should be more concern, since if it was one of them they'd all be in a tiff. Rather than freak out everyone looked fairly calm over it, with the exception of once Yumi found out most likely. She'd definitely be the one to get super emotional over it. Thank goodness none of them had caused that either, otherwise Yumi would quite literally tear them apart. Diverting focus back to Choi and getting quite the response from Kai, Kabocha quickly put his hands up defensively, grinning as he came to a stop.

"Whoa man, cool it, I was just teasing. No reason to get all glum about things." Patting Kai's shoulder the other Saiyan glanced at the door to their side, debating on claiming the room there as his own. With a dismissive shrug of his shoulders Kabocha looked back to his friend, smiling apologetically. "I didn't know you were so bothered by it man, jeez. Look, we'll find you a girl too at some point, everyone's got somebody. I mean crap... Look at my mom and dad! Even for Saiyans they're both a bit extreme, either lazy or nuts. If they can find somebody then a good looking dude like yourself can too." Putting the tease back on he pivoted on his heel, turning his back to the Saiyan while crossing his arms. "I just hope your girlfriends don't get you two confused. Could be aaaaawkward."

"So was Viral, so maybe he should get it? He was there a lot longer than I was, Shu too." Yumi pointed out, tugging Choi along. The compliment about her ears made her flush yet again, a meek smile crossing her lips as said ears folded down shyly. "Aw... Thanks. I guess they're kind of cute, aren't they? And I'll get my relaxation, it just might not be in a luxury room like the Captain's, that's all." Nope, it was decided in her mind that the nicest room was going to either the Beastman or the younger brother. They might even be able to share, though she wasn't sure how keen either party would be with that arrangement. Shu would likely be agreeable with just about anyone, Viral... Sans for her and Vegeta probably no one else. Even Shu would be pushing it.

Getting tugged along then by Choi as she took the lead Yumi followed right along behind, smiling cheerfully as she let herself be led. Now this wasn't so bad, being dragged around. She could see his face now, and get a reminder of how cute he really was. Kai and Choi both looked remarkably similar, enough to the point that if she didn't know them personally she'd not know who was who. Yet somehow Choi had this air of cheerfulness about him, and his features looked more boyish to her. It could be actual differences she was only now seeing, or perhaps just her mind making things up. Her musing was interrupted when the sound of a door opening roused her, looking at Choi and nodding as he led the way into the room. Oh dear, now they were together and alone, just like she had wanted. It was time to talk then, great.

"Thanks for agreeing to this, first of all. I know there's been a ton that has gone on, so I would have totally understood if you wanted to relax instead." Yumi smiled up at Choi for a moment, their hands still linked together as she gazed up at his features. Exhaling softly to try and settle her nerves she looked down at their hands, giving their arms a little swing. "I wanted to tell you... That I've been having a ton of fun getting to know you. I almost can't even believe how angry I was at you before, or how much I hated you guys. Even Kabocha is starting to grow on me, even if he is basically the new Takeshi." Giggling softly she shook her head, looking back at Choi with a sweet smile. With her free hand she brushed a bit of bangs out of her eyes, shifting the weight of herself onto one foot nervously. "I'm really glad that we've been able to do this, it's been really nice. It's crazy how quickly we became friends, and yet..." she paused, biting her lip uncertainly. "What if... What if we could be more than that?"

Well there it was, out in the open. The pounding of her heart in her chest was almost deafening, Yumi worried Choi could hear it. Why was she so concerned about what this boy thought? In earnest she could understand why she wanted to be friends with him, he was a good person. These feelings that she had though, they were beyond simple friendship. Wasn't it? Besides Vegeta she had never had a guy near her own age that she had considered so close, and while she loved Vegeta it was much more of a sibling love. So... Did she love Choi? Giving the Saiyan a final look she turned her head away, cheeks burning hotly as she squirmed a little on the spot. If it wasn't love then it was something awfully similar.

Takeshi wasn't exactly doing a whole ton where he was, being a pretty solitary task he'd given himself. Aside from getting up and checking the vitals now and again he sat in his chair, gazing around the room for anything interesting. His job was so easy right now it was unsurprising he zoned out, going off into his own little world. Where would they go after this exactly? If Viral healed after this and all was well they didn't need to rush to Earth. Then again, they were feeling homesick, so maybe a visit was in order regardless. Besides their home world he couldn't well imagine what would be in store for them. Fighting more Saiyan soldiers? Exploring planets? Maybe even taking the fight to the king? Anything could happen, anything probably would happen, and it had him oddly excited. When his scouter suddenly clicked on and Shu's voice came through the speaker Takeshi yelped softly, tumbling back out of his chair in surprise and landing square on his backside.

"Ow... What do you mean you're lost? Where is everyone else?" Takeshi asked, frowning slightly. Awesome, so they must have left Shu and T'charrl, because somehow that was a good idea. Well, joining him wasn't exactly going to be an enthralling experience, but at least he'd have some company then. "Give me one second Shu, let me figure out where you are and I'll bring you here."

Picking himself up off the floor he went over to the console, a bit clueless as to what to choose on the panel. He knew there were cameras onboard the craft, he ought to be able to see those from here. After a fair bit of digging through various programs he managed to find it, opening the console up and getting a screen with several different images. Okay, he was in the western corridor near the engine room, and Shu was... In the Eastern, about halfway towards the bridge. Okay, on the totally opposite side, wonderful. Not hard to get to though, it would just take a bit of walking.

"Alright Shu, you're going to need to go back the way you came. When you get to the engine room walk past it, around where the hall curves and then goes straight again. Follow that hall down and you'll find where I am, I'll leave the door open. Got it?"

Kai was fair moody now, but it was pretty often that questions like that would arise about him and his brother because of their ability to link. He didn’t see it as freaky that they could practically read each other’s thoughts until he was told it was a weird thing and definitely something every sibling did not have. It made him a little depressed when it was played out as a joke, but then again everybody loved to play that card and he just had to get used to it. Letting out a sigh as he folded his arms, he frowned a little, “I can get glum about things if there’s a reason to get glum about it”, he muttered, shaking his head.

Of course he was bothered by it; he was close to losing his brother and he was busy having a joke about it. If Choi decided to go with Yumi, he wouldn’t be able to get close to his brother again unless during special times when he was allowed to go over and see him. He’d be missing a part of himself and that possibility upset him, “It’s not the fact that he has a girl that’s bothering me, it’s like…well, like I’m missing a part of me”, he sighed, shaking his head, “Sorry, I shouldn’t assume you’d understand. Can’t say it’s something everyone would understand, after all”.

Giving Kabocha a quick look at the handsome comment, he shook his head slowly with disbelief, not exactly having any belief in that comment when servants of the King were often insulted for their terrible looks, plus it didn’t help when he was the exact same as Choi. Looking back up to Kabocha, he frowned at the girlfriend comment, “Hey! We’re very different! You’d get your own parents mixed up if they didn’t wear different clothes…”

Choi wasn’t feeling too confident to give Yumi the news about why he wasn’t mentioning giving Viral the room, looking back a moment at the mention of him. He didn’t know whether he was still alive either, something that would greatly upset Yumi if the Beastman’s body did actually give up, “Uhhh, I don’t know what’s going on with Viral right now, but the guy doesn’t seem like the type to take the best room just because it was open to him”, he spoke, smiling a little, “I think he wanted to use the machines in the ship anyway”.

Smiling a little as he closed the door after him, he stared at Yumi nervously just wondering what she was going to ask him. He was pretty worried that it’d be something she found out about him that was pretty embarrassing, even though he couldn’t think of anything that possibly was. Staring at her intently, he smiled nervously before he looked away, rubbing the back of his neck as his cheeks went red. He was pretty happy right now, showing he was just a little bashful over what she was saying, “Oh, yeah…they’re pretty similar, huh?” he spoke, chuckling a little before he looked back at her, his heart jumping a bit at the next thing she said.

He didn’t know how to react to that, it was definitely a first for him and immediately he felt panic build up in him. If he screwed this up by saying the wrong thing then that was it for this opportunity, his feet nervously shifting as he fought for the right words to say, “M-More?? Woah! Ooh uhh, yeah! Sure! I-I mean uhh, yeah…yeah, it would be really nice…” He had never experienced something like this before, it had all happened so quick and even if it didn’t work out in the end he’d be pretty focused on keeping her happy no matter what. In fact, he didn’t know what would happen in the future, but this was definitely something he had to make feel worthwhile, “Even if we got off to a bad start…I think that was more misunderstandings than anything; I mean…being enslaved all your life, it would make you almost a mirror of your master until you see through it, right? I shouldn’t had taken up that role in the first place, anyway…I’m sorry about what happened”.

T’charrl felt a little bad that he couldn’t guide Shu around the ship using the plates on the wall, his problem coming directly from the fact that he couldn’t read their language. It should had been something he learned when he was growing up after first learning about the aliens from beyond and recently when some came to their planet before the energy of their planet told them to back off. Giving a little nervous smile when Shu looked up to him, he let out a sigh and looked away, rubbing the fur of his neck slowly. While he could do with a rest, the thought of going off for a sleep while Shu’s energy levels still seemed high meant the kid would be left on his own.

Shu tilted his head a little when the response seemed a little delayed, not feeling too sure whether he was using the scouter correctly. When Takeshi suddenly spoke on the other side he got pretty excited, bouncing on his feet and looking up to T’Charrl who leaned in to try and listen to it, “Everyone else left to go to rooms but we’re not tired and don’t know what rooms to take”, he spoke quickly, giving his stomach a quick scratch, “We can’t read the writing either, so…umm…”

When Takeshi responded yet again, he listened intently and gave a quick look behind, his eyes going to T’charrl who was right down listening into it. Getting all excited again he bounced on his feet a little, only to be picked up by T’charrl to stop him from his momentary vibrating, “Okay! We’ll find it! We’ll be there quickly!” he spoke quickly, taking his finger off the button and holding onto T’charrl instead, “We get to go see Takeshi! Friend T’charrl, let’s go yes?”

T’charrl nodded, hearing the directions on the other side. If he had a method to wear those scouters he’d probably do well when it came to trying to understand another alien; maybe he could have one made for him, after all he did sort of have ears underneath his fur even if they were a lot smaller and less fleshier than their ears. Turning around, he began to walk on back the way they came, letting out a sigh and shaking his wings a little, “I really wonder how easy it will be to learn your language…”

"So stop putting so much into being a twin and be your own guy?" Kabocha suggested, smiling at Kai. "Seriously, you two fight together very well, but it doesn't mean you have to do EVERYTHING together. Did you honestly expect to be around him for the entirety of your lives? I mean come on Kai, you had to have seen this coming." He knew enough about siblings that they would separate after some time. The fact that Kai and Choi were still together was due to their assigned squad, otherwise they'd have been split apart just like any other Saiyan children. The only reason he figured the Princes still had one another was because they more or less needed the other, and it was probably some weird Earth thing too. To Kabocha his friend was putting way too much stock into being a twin and not enough about being his own person for a change. Probably easier said than done, but to him it seemed like a perfectly fine answer.

"Dude, no way would I get my parents confused! My dad is a short coward and my mom's a tall psycho, they don't even look remotely similar." Rolling his eyes in exasperation Kabocha folded his arms across his chest again, shaking his head. "I was kidding anyways man, chill. I know you two well enough that you're two totally different guys, regardless of how you look. I'm just picking on a teammate, that's all. Now come on," he paused, reaching out and smacking Kai's arm lightly. "Let's find some rooms huh? Then we can head to the mess hall and finally get some food in our stomachs."

Yumi probably ought to have asked about Viral, but didn't feel the need to. There had been no indication of any problems thus far, and knowing him he'd want somewhere to go and relax by himself once given the chance. Once she was through here maybe she'd try to slink off and see him, at the very least to offer to help him find a room. First things first, it was time to get admissions out of the way. As adamant as she was about sharing her feelings it was quite nerve-wracking to do so, and she was scarcely thrilled with this feeling she was getting. Nonetheless she had eventually come out and said it, albeit after some beating around the bush. How would Choi react to her feelings though? If she weren't so embarrassed for saying that she'd be checking his features for some kind of reaction, instead hiding her face. It was only when he began to speak that she was able to look back at him, earnestly surprised by his response.

"So... Is that a yes?" Yumi asked, giving Choi a puzzled look. It sounded like a yes, but she was cautious to be sure. In his usual manner of rambling it sounded like he agreed to her proposal, and instantly a wide albeit meek smile crossed her face. Oh this was a happy day, she now had herself a boyfriend! Choi of all people, a boy whose head she had been quite intent on tearing off not two days prior was now going to be the one she'd spend the most time with out of anyone. How strange that sounded, and yet it felt just right. Hearing the apologies coming from Choi she felt awfully conflicted as how to reply, not knowing what was okay or not as far as their interactions were concerned. This whole concept of dating was pretty much theory to her, she knew how it was done but had never practiced it. Finally deciding on showing her support and to brush aside the past she quickly threw her arms around the Saiyan's neck, smiling as she hid her blushing visage against his shoulder.

"I don't blame you for what happened, not anymore," she said gently, giving a small shake of her head. "You had no other choice, and I wouldn't want you to have to lose your dad or even Kai. You did what you had to, and it worked out in the end." Ultimately she was okay, for the most part. Pulling her face from Choi's shoulder she smiled sweetly, freeing one hand up to tap his nose playfully. "Besides, I got some cute ears out of it that my boyfriend seems to love. What could be bad about that?"

"Sounds good buddy, I'll be waiting." Even if Shu couldn't read his sense of direction was fine, he'd get to the healing room no problem. Takeshi took off his scouter after his brother finished talking, setting it down on the console and getting back into his seat. Well, now was the calm before the next storm, judging by how things usually went. Goodness knows what would be thrown their way next. Sighing softly to himself the Saiyan rotated his chair, propping his legs up on the corner of the console and folding his arms across his chest. Whatever it was they'd be ready, that much he was confident of. With all the strength they had as a team now they could tackle near any obstacle.

Kai frowned, shaking his head a little with a sigh. It was hard to not be a twin if he had grown up as one and was still technically a body double of himself, making it difficult to handle when there was someone in the way of his other self. It was already hard to keep Kai and Choi apart, but now it was guaranteed and who knew how long this would last until Choi got bored or was dumped by Yumi. Yumi dumping him didn’t seem to be something that would happen anytime soon, making him feel fairly discouraged and yet annoyed at himself as well when it all relied on Choi’s happiness, “I guess not…but it’s hard to see coming when nobody likes you your whole life; hell, I bet you and Takeshi didn’t like us!” he spoke, pointing to himself, “It’s not easy having to come from a background where you are with your brother your entire life, then he’s suddenly with someone else”.

Kabocha wouldn’t understand, he was a single child after all. Smirking a little at Kabocha getting all annoyed over what he said, he soon sighed and looked elsewhere. He should probably try and cool it a little, it wasn’t as if Choi was gone when he was just right on up where the rooms were. Lowering his head a little, he looked to Kabocha when he gave him a bump before he nodded, looking up the corridor, “I guess you’re right about that. Let’s just go before something else happens, okay?” he sighed, giving a nod, “I’ll probably go in the same room my father’s in, I don’t know what you’d want to do if you’d want to find a bed in with us rather than your parents…”

Choi was completely flustered, he didn’t expect something like this so soon and all he could think about it was how amazing it was to feel this way. Even if it might end up being for a limited time, he was excited and pretty bouncy about it, smiling away at the thought of it. For once in his life someone liked him enough to want to be socially involved with him, so it was definitely a step forward toward being accepted by everyone.

Giving Yumi a quick nod and moving closer to her, he soon moved a step back and looked away, feeling fairly embarrassed at the moment, “Y-Yeah, I’d love that! I’m sorry I’m just so nervous, I’ve never had this happen to me before”, he nodded, looking back to Yumi and smiling. She was really nice and really cool, her fighting style and attitude was definitely a breath of fresh air, “You’re the only outsider who has shown proper kindness to me and not taken it back. You know how much that means to me?”

Smiling as Yumi somewhat accepted his apology, he nodded quickly before he let out a sigh, lowering his head a little, “I didn’t want to end up as another experiment and seeing what they did to Shu was just difficult to understand, I mean…that kid, he went nuts and yet was such a zombie to orders. It scares me to end up like that and lose my father and brother”. Everything about that chilled him to the bone, he just hoped Yumi didn’t have it too bad. Looking up to her again, he pulled his face back a little and smiled shyly when she tapped his nose, feeling a little giddy, “Heheh, I guess nothing too bad, huh? I do hope you like them too…”

T’charrl did think he should had really been meditating to try and keep his powers in check if he was to ever be left alone for the night, especially when the main reason he was okay right now was because he had people talking to him and keeping him connected to their way of thinking. He didn’t like the feeling he got when he was alone, as if the very feeling was tearing him apart and making him angry for no reason. Once they all went to sleep he’d probably have to maybe meditate with them in their room, trying to find his centre and focus on control. Walking quickly along with Shu, he gave a quick look when it seemed Kabocha and Kai were still in the corridors, his focus on getting to Takeshi to keep him company and make Shu happy as well.

"I'm new to this too Choi, so don't think you're alone here." Yumi chimed, smiling rather happily. It was impossible not to smile right now, this was by far the best thing that happened to her in some time. Reuniting with her friends was a very close second, but now she had someone she could consider more than a friend. The feeling she got, welling up inside her chest, it was wonderful. There was such an urge to spend as much time with Choi now, to get to know him better and just talk to him. If nothing else he was just fun to be around, his presence enough in of itself to make her happy. It certainly calmed her too, taking her mind off of certain things she'd rather not contemplate. Giggling a bit she shrugged her shoulders, cocking her head to the side slightly. "Well get used to it, you're one of the good guys now Choi. Lots of people are going to be nice to you from now on."

Getting fair bold for a moment Yumi quickly gave her boyfriend a hug, wanting to convey that things were going to be alright. They had to be, they both had not only each other but their friends and families now, it couldn't possibly go badly now. Pulling away she smiled at Choi sympathetically, giving a curt nod of her head. She may not love Kai, certainly not Daiko, but she didn't want either of them to end up how Shu and Viral had. Or how she had too. It was bar none the most unpleasant experience she had ever gone through, not something she'd wish even on her greatest enemy. Her changes weren't all bad, at least Choi seemed to like her new look, so not a total loss. When he asked if she liked them all Yumi could do was shrug her shoulders, smiling meekly at the Saiyan boy. Like probably wasn't the proper word, that would involve enjoying this to some degree. Habitually she reached up to the side of her head where her ear used to be, instead feeling naught but smooth skin and hair. Her ears were now atop her head, one of the few changes she had gone through. It was still taking some getting used to, that was sure. But she couldn't let Choi know how she felt, she didn't want to spread her grief.
With Earth quite a ways from their current position it was ultimately elected that a change in plans. They would still return to the group's home, but first there was the curious matter of the monster that had been encountered. Not a single person on board the ship could place where it had come from, nor could anyone explain what had happened when it had been beaten. Nothing like it existed anywhere as far as the collective knowledge was concerned, so it had to be from a far reach of space. Having the unique ability to travel through surfaces it had been a fair dangerous for indeed, yet thankfully not all that strong. The possibility of more of those beasts, potentially stronger ones at that, was awfully troubling. It had taken two strong fighters just to beat one of them, the thought of a horde was unsettling indeed. If this creature hadn't been brought on intentionally by the Saiyans then it had slipped on somehow, somewhere along the line. A monster like that was dangerous, it was in their interest then to discover where it had come from and if at all possible keep any more from getting off the world. But where exactly had it come from anyways?

Vegeta had come up with a solution, by tracking through the ships travel logs to find the last world visited. It only made sense it was the last place they went, as someone would have noticed the creature otherwise before now. The only information available in the ship's recorder were the coordinates for the world, no name or any other information to offer. If anything it must have been a pit stop then, every other world had a fair bit of data. They had the route to get there though, and certainly the means as well. Only Vegeta and the engineers remained awake to pilot the craft while everyone else went to get some rest, everyone having eaten before doing so. In spite of the large size the vessel was proving to be awfully maneuverable, and quick too. Much faster than the rebel craft they had been lent, and just as smooth as a ride. One hour passed fair quick, and then a second, and soon they were upon the planet. It was a gray looking orb floating in the midst of three moons, small splotches of green and blue the only indication it was not just another satellite. Once they all were ready they could get to work and land, hopefully clearing out these monsters and making travel a little safer in the process. First things first, Viral had to be woken and everyone needed to gear up.

"You sure he's going to be all healed by now?" Yumi asked worriedly, looking at the tank. "It's only been a few hours."

"These pods work remarkably well Yumi, so yes, he'll be healed. Physically at least, it'll put him back in shape before any of this happened, if I understand right." Vegeta replied as he busily worked on bringing the systems down. The oxygen would be cut off last, his first concern was to drain the liquids. Finding the proper controls he opened up a small drain on the bottom, watching as the healing fluids began to seep out of the pod, draining steadily. Only once everything was drained out could they pull Viral free from the container and his sensors. He ought to be dried off as well, so Shu was standing by, his little arms full of a towel and a set of clothing. It would be Saiyan garb, probably not ideal but certainly better than going stark naked.

"If you say so, though I can't help but worry still." It was quite a bit of damage that the Beastman had to come back from, and with his healing not working properly this machine was going to have to make up for things. Looking at Choi uncertainly she sighed, leaning against him and sliding her hand into hers. A fitful nap and now this was making her awfully unsettled, she very much needed his presence right now.

Takeshi waited patiently for all of the liquid to drain before opening the door, letting Kabocha in past him to support Viral, as he was still asleep. While the latter held the Beastman Takeshi went about removing the wires and mask, letting them hang idly along the sides of the tube while easing their friend out. It was kind of gross, he was covered in the liquid and it was awfully slimy to the touch, and he'd already showered once today. Ah well, it would dry up. Following Vegeta's prompts they sat Viral down in one of the chairs, being careful not to let him fall out as he was set down. Vegeta then walked over to the Beastman, leaning over and giving his cheek a patting to try and wake him up.

"Viral...? Rise and shine, you're done in the tank. Can you hear me?"

Throughout the entire travel, Shu had wanted to stay near Takeshi until they arrived at this destination. T’charrl had remained with him with Shu ending up falling asleep in amongst his fluff on his lap for the trip. Shu’s head had made him fairly tired, his body still trying to catch up with the healing T’charrl did on him. T’charrl didn’t mind, he was pretty awake since he was still in his night cycle and his species didn’t need to sleep until every second day or so with their energy mainly coming from food, sunlight and moonlight. Being in the ship was pretty draining, but he had plenty of food before heading onto the ship. He was still pretty scared about being off his planet, but it had barely been able to get through to his head in the end that he was out in space and travelling. With Shu up and about again T’charrl was free to move around; however, he couldn’t say his legs were feeling a little stiff after spending so much time on the floor.

Kai hadn’t been all that fussed for food and had gone off for a nap in the meantime, sleeping in the room his father had chosen for them all while his father napped too. He was feeling fair protective over his father since freeing him, he knew how difficult it was to get used to being free and able to have a nap so having that little moment of peace really brought calm to his mind. It was only a few hours peace and the beds weren’t the most comfy he had been in since the bug planet, but it was still peace he hadn’t had in a while. It was a hard time getting up again after having a good sleep, but all in all he was back to functioning and simply wandering around while the others helped out Viral down at the tanks.

Choi had stayed with Yumi for the majority of the time and while he did feel the tiredness while Kai was sleeping, he didn’t feel the need to say anything when it would probably be weird for him to mention having that nap all of a sudden just because Kai was napping. With Kai back up and awake again he was feeling refreshed too, all while he remained with Yumi and stared at Viral as Yumi expressed her worries. Giving Yumi a pat on the shoulder with a smile, he took hold of her hand and shrugged a little, “Don’t worry! It’ll help…whatever he had wrong with him”, he nodded, smiling a little, “It’ll fix anything in and out, so long as he wasn’t in a critical state he’ll be healed enough…besides, doesn’t he have super-fast healing too?”

Shu didn’t know what to expect, he was just told to stand there with towels ready for Viral so he would feel alright after coming out of the liquid. He didn’t know the entire story of why Viral was in the pod, he had just heard he had collapsed but other than that there didn’t appear to be anything wrong with him. Looking between his brother and Viral, he gasped a little when the liquid began to drain away with a frown on his face. It was definitely leaving Viral looking a little soggy so the towels would come in handy. Moving around with Viral as he was moved, he stared at his friend before he looked to Vegeta, frowning a little when he didn’t appear to be waking up.

Viral still appeared unconscious throughout the entire move, his head low and his body limp. He didn’t appear that much different if a little pale, but that was of little detail compared to how he should be feeling. He should be healed up fully by now, he just needed to wake up now. Remaining fairly still as he was moved away to the chair, he remained unconscious as the liquid gently dripped down him. Failing to show any signs of life, Vegeta soon decided to come over to him, hover over him and pat his cheek to try and bring life into him. He was warm so he wasn’t dead, but his response seemed delayed when most would had woken up by now. As Vegeta attempted to get some response out of him by talking to him, he appeared fairly delayed at first before suddenly growling lowly, jerking a little before he suddenly swiped his claws out at Vegeta’s head; luckily, however, they jerked to a halt just before hitting Viral, his claws going to his head. Letting out a groan, he tried to find his bearings and mind, it all feeling fairly lost to him, “…Where am I…”

"Yeah... He does, but that wasn't doing a lot for him before. Unless the machine helped that then it still won't do him a lot of good." Well this was a downer, even having Choi wasn't making Yumi feeling terribly much better. Not to say she wasn't pleased with his being there, and once her hand was held she leaned against him for support. Sleep deprivation, stress, it was like Viral's situation only far less severe. While her friend needed more help she refused to voice her own problems, wanting the Beastman to feel better first and foremost. "The vitals sounded like they were okay while he was in there, and he's breathing... So that's good, right?"

"He's fine guys, don't worry so much," Vegeta said, giving Viral's cheek a patting to try and rouse him from his nap. He was most definitely asleep, for the first time in goodness knows how long. Three hours may not be as much as he needed but he had healed, staying in the tank any longer would be superfluous. Not getting an initial reply from his friend he opted to try speaking to Viral instead, hoping his voice might help out some. It did the trick, and Vegeta nearly ended up with a haircut as a result, but it had worked. Smiling sheepishly at the close call he reached out, grabbing the towel from Shu and carefully draping it over the Beastman's shoulders. "You're in the healing room on the ship. You sort of passed out earlier, so we brought you here. You only just got out of the tank, so I'd give it a minute before you try doing anything." Smiling kindly he gestured for Shu to come forward with the clothes, looking back to Viral. "We got you some new clothes too for when you're ready. Are you actually feeling any better?"

"Of course he's feeling better! Those pods work magic!" Kabocha smiled brightly, rather confident in their machines to get the job done. It could fix somebody up in a jiffy, even someone as beaten as Viral had been. "You kicked the crap out of that monster too man, it was awesome! How do you do that thing with your arms? You were all swish, slash, swoosh!" The sounds were accompanied with slashes of the Saiyan's hands, clearly Kabocha was feeling more energetic after a meal and nap. Plus with the impending landing on a world and potential fights there was ample reason to be excited. During his bit of excitement he failed to notice a hand coming for him, wincing as he was smacked upside the head by Takeshi. "Ow dude! What the heck?!"

"Calm down or you'll be the next one in the pod." Takeshi warned, smiling faintly amused at Kabocha's expense. "Seriously, he only just woke up. Want to try not chewing his ear off?" It was very impressive what Viral had done, making short work of that monster. Now that the Beastman was all healed up he ought to be able to do that again without having to tap into his reserves of power. Hopefully that meant Viral was good to fight, because if there were more of those creatures on the planet below they were going to need every fighter possible. "Really though, nice job Viral."

Choi looked to Yumi, tilting his head a little before he sighed, moving a little closer to her, “Maybe he was just tired? When I’m too tired I don’t heal very well either”, he spoke, smiling a little, “I get into a lot of fights and everytime I heal I’m either quick at it or very slow, so is my brother. Do you have fast healing? Or have you not been able to test it…? Uhh I mean, I-I don’t want you to get hurt! Just uhh, have you been hurt? Bet you haven’t when you’re such a good fighter and all…uhhh, I-I don’t mean that you’ve never been in a fight! Uhhh, my bad. What I really mean is…well, he’ll be fine, I’m sure of it!”

Just as Choi suspected, Viral was soon showing signs of waking up only to try and almost claw off Vegeta’s head, only to stop as he came to finally. Letting out a sigh before looking to Yumi, he smiled at her, “See? He’s alright, no problem! Don’t worry about it”, he nodded, bumping her shoulder a little, “He’s been through worse, I mean…hell, he’s a fighter”. He didn’t have too many doubts about Viral, but his confusion when he woke up was a little odd. He was either deep asleep or he truly was disorientated.

Viral didn’t know where he was, his mind not really recovered and he was left truly disorientated. He couldn’t remember too much, but the anger he was feeling was running fairly high and all he wanted to do was tear something apart. He needed to keep himself under control, especially with all of them here staring at him like he was in a test tube. Slowly rubbing his head until he was given the towel, he looked to it before he let out a groan, rubbing the towel against his head as he tried to clear his head. He couldn’t really remember much, but he didn’t know how to translate that into words they’d understand.

Only giving the clothes a look before Kabocha suddenly interrupted, looking to him with mild annoyance. He didn’t know what he was talking about, but the thing with his arms, he probably meant his powers. He wasn’t too keen on them seeing his abilities, especially when he preferred to not use them. Everyone else always seemed so disgusted over them and yet Kabocha was having fun with the thought of seeing them, probably because he quite liked disgusting things. Slowly looking away he stared at the floor, slowly rubbing his towel over his head. He didn’t know if he was feeling better, all he could feel right now was very tired, confused and had quite a headache.

Giving the clothes a quick look, he let out a sigh as he took the clothes off Shu, holding them up for a moment before he let out a grumble. It wasn’t his fault that his clothes were constantly getting torn part, now he had to get some that stretched and was terrible looking; they were the ones who were tearing up his clothes the most, not him. Letting out a groan, he soon turned to look at Takeshi, giving him a momentary glare before looking away again, “I did nothing you couldn’t had done if you thought to use your weapon you got on that planet”, he grumbled, slowly rubbing his head, “If I passed out and was able to rest…then why did you wake me? For the first time in a long time…hmph, I don’t care, I’m just complaining for the hell of it”.

Giving his hair a rub with the towel, he let out a sigh as he looked down at himself, his eyes soon wandering over to Yumi when he noticed her out of the corner of his eye; however, her expression was hardly the first thing he noticed. She was holding hands with one of those twins with the twin himself looking pretty close, his mind immediately going to the most true of conclusions. She was being intimate with one of the twins, a Saiyan of all things and not anybody he had planned that she’d go with. With almost a sharp twang piercing straight into his heart, he looked away again and down at the clothes, feeling his anger building as he slowly rubbed his head, “Aghhh damnit…! Why did you wake me again??”

Yumi only offered a shrug of her shoulders, looking at Viral as he slowly came to. Sure he was a fighter, but that didn't change the fact he had been through hell and back. It was debatable if he'd been through worse or not too, all of his grief had been cumulative. With any degree of fortune his suffering was ending here, now that he had healed up at last. Maybe she was too soon forgetting that the tank didn't heal someone mentally, a fact that made her mood drop even further. They needed to get to Earth as soon as possible, only then could he finally get what he needed and be truly happy. At the very least now they weren't going to have to be concerned about his suddenly dying on them from an injury. All they needed to do now was calm him down and keep him happy enough until they finally got home.

"We got to the battle late, Viral. I knew you could handle it so I didn't interrupt," Takeshi explained truthfully, offering a polite smile. "You made quick work of whatever that thing was, there was no reason for me to use my sword. Though next time I get a chance believe me, I'm taking it. Can't wait to see how this thing works!" Since acquiring it he hadn't let it out of his sight since. Being a straight sword it was easy enough to carry, and currently it was wrapped up in a crude sheath made of a small blanket, resting across his back. Somewhere along the lines he'd have to find a proper sheath, this makeshift one wasn't going to hold up for very long. "And... Now that you're awake and we've got free time maybe I can get some lessons from you? After all, you're an ace with your own weapon, so who better to learn from?"

"We woke you because you'd been in the pod long enough to heal. And... We've found the planet that the monster came from. As soon as everyone is prepared we're planning on heading down to take a look around, and if possible kill any more of those things we find along the way." They were dangerous creatures, Vegeta and Viral had scarcely handled it. The beast had certainly been not in its right mind, attacking them blindly and head on as it had been, must have been hungry. Vegeta really didn't enjoy the idea of possibly fighting a handful of those at once, a rather daunting task. One was hard enough to track on its own, and with four or five phasing into walls they'd be hard pressed to keep an eye on the enemy. Whilst watching Viral he saw the Beastman look elsewhere, following his gave over to where Yumi and Choi stood. That got a cringe, he'd figured there would be some discontent over that. They had all learned about it soon after it had happened, during the meal, and had debated on letting Viral know. At the time it was decided best not to keep secrets from him, but now he wasn't so sure.

Vegeta bit his lip nervously at Viral's outburst, giving Yumi and Choi an uneasy look. It was probably best for them to leave, as having just woken up the last thing Viral needed was something to set him off. "We want you to fight with us on the planet, that's why we woke you up," he said gently, reiterating his point earlier. "Plus, you seemed to be able to follow that thing even when it went into the floor. You're better at fighting them than any of us in that case. It'll give you a chance to stretch your legs some and get back into fighting." There was quite a bit of anguish on Viral's part over being unable to fight as of late, so maybe this was just what they needed for him.

Yumi hadn't noticed Viral's look in her direction, but upon hearing his tone she turned her attention towards him. Certainly still upset, regardless of how he might be feeling physically. Well perhaps she could help that a little, she'd had some minor success in the past. Letting go of Choi's hand she gave him a soft smile, walking over to Viral and folding her hands at her waist, looking down at him gently. "I'm glad you're okay, Viral. I was really worried when I heard what happened to you." It had been exaggerated a little as to what his condition had been, Kabocha's explanation making it sound like he was literally dying. Some internal damage maybe, but nothing near what it had been made out as. Keeping her smile on Yumi leaned down, attempting to take her friend into a hug to give some comfort. "Hope you're feeling a little better now."

Viral felt so confused, he was just finding it so difficult to make sense of it all while everything had changed so much since he lost consciousness, but probably the worst part of it all was he only had a fuzzy recollection over what happened to him. He must had suffered from small meltdown in his brain, ending up crashing and losing it halfway. He had come dangerously close to dying under lack of energy for his cells to function properly and the most they could do was shove him in a tank to repair said cells. It wouldn’t make much of a difference, it was going to happen again like last time where he nearly ended up losing his mind after he came to again.

Looking to Takeshi, Viral looked away again and back to his clothing in quiet contemplation over what was being said. If they guy knew there was danger then he could had grabbed it on the way there instead of assuming his fists would do the job, but hopefully he would know better, “’This thing’? Thing?? You respect your weapon as if it was part of your own body! If you’ll call it a thing, you are nothing more than a mere extension of that thing! Does it make you fell happy to be called a thing?” he huffed before he let out a sigh, shaking his head, “One you learn to respect it…then maybe I’ll teach you how to use it…”

Viral was feeling fair angry still, not really in the mood to be awake when he was finally able to sleep dreamlessly for once in a very long time. He probably wasn’t going to be able to sleep like that for a while, that was what really pissed him off. Viral couldn’t care where the monster had come from, it wasn’t as if it was going to get off that planet unless a bunch of Saiyans came along and did whatever this lot happened to had done before they lost the ship. As his care became even less after noticing Yumi, he nonchalantly began to squeeze the liquid out of his scarf, whipping the loose residue to the ground before his fed up look moved to Vegeta, his act of not caring only becoming stronger, “Don’t see why we have to go to some backwater planet just because I could see its movements! You’re just looking for an excuse to test your little theories out because you don’t understand it…”

Unravelling his scarf from his neck, Viral’s mind was fair occupied and definitely didn’t have time to notice Yumi come over to him, his eyes shifting up to her when he felt her presence near him. He simply lowered his head again, still not feeling happy to see her so close to the Saiyan but the worst part was how she was acting towards him. She sounded worried, but she wasn’t acting like it like she usually did. Slowly shifting his legs around and away from her, he let out a grumble at her words before she eventually decided that a hug was needed to display this worry of hers. Stiffening up, he looked to her before away again, giving that slight gentle push, “I still need to get these clothes on, you know”, he sighed, avoiding her concerns when he had no true answer to it, “That stuff was the first bath I’ve had in a very, very long time…shouldn’t you all be getting ready for whatever this planet’s like and organising who you’re taking and leaving here…”

Takeshi was fair eager to learn to use his sword, having been pretty much enamored with the idea of it from the start. He wasn't so clueless as to think he could just swing it around willy nilly though, he needed instruction. Seeing as Viral was the only weapons expert among them he was then the obvious choice to ask for help. Takeshi had figured he'd asked tactfully enough, trying to be polite as possible. Nevertheless it somehow managed to upset Viral, apparently angry over the sword being referred to as a thing. It was though, wasn't it? Just a piece of metal, not sentient and certainly nothing more than a tool. That's how he saw it anyways, the Beastman had a radically different view. Thinking of the sword as an extension of his body wasn't quite the most simplistic thing to wrap his mind around. If he hoped to get anywhere with lessons he would have to see things Viral's way, which meant respecting the sword.

"Alright... Alright... Sorry. Maybe I'll respect it more when I learn how to use it though?" Takeshi suggested, smiling eagerly. "After all, all the sword does now is lie around. If I could actually make use of it then I'd think it's a lot more important, and I'd respect it!" Maybe not the best way to word that, it sounded like he was just trying to appease Viral for the sake of training. As of now the Saiyan couldn't view the sword as anything but a tool, least of all not an extension of his body. It was easy for Viral to call his own weapon that when he had always had the thing, it was like Takeshi's and Shu's tails. Albeit the former was sort of missing his for some time now, but the point was the same.

"We think its best to kill these creatures before they can cause any more harm, that's why we're going down there," Vegeta explained patiently, crossing his arms over his chest. "And I opted to bring you because I know you can fight them. Yes, I've got questions about that thing we've fought, but I'm not using you as a means to answer those. I'd say its a safe bet that if there are people on the world then they'll know about the creatures and what they are. All I'll need to do is ask someone down there then, you're not needed for that." He'd have thought Viral would be ecstatic to fight now that he was healed up. Plus, he'd managed to kill the monster, that ought to have helped out his mood a little bit. Apparently not.

Yumi took no pleasure in seeing Viral so upset, as she too had hoped his healing would cheer him up a little. Unaware she was inadvertently causing further grief she stepped forward and opted to give him a hug, the most simplistic form of comfort she could think of, not wanting to overdo it. Much to her dismay she was pushed back, even if gently, leaving her a little upset as she looked down at the Beastman. "We all are ready, more or less. Those of us who want it will still need to put armor on, but other than that we're good to go." They all had changes of clothes, and perhaps with the exception of Kai, Choi and Kabocha no one was keen to wear Saiyan gear, not wanting to convey the wrong message. Takeshi wore a red colored jumpsuit with a pair of boots and gloves, and a black vest he'd dug up goodness knows wear, that was the closest any of them were to the regular Saiyan attire.

"It'll be just us going down," Takeshi added, gesturing to himself, Shu, Yumi and Vegeta. "We figure a small party is better, and this way there's plenty of people to keep the ship safe. We were hoping you'd be willing to come with the rest of us, if you're up for it. Got to get the old crew back together, you know? It'll be fun."

Viral was fair annoyed at Takeshi for having such a naïve outlook on what a weapon was and essentially what it made the warrior. He couldn’t understand how anybody could treat a weapon like that when it was essentially the difference between protection and killing an opponent, even if he didn’t want to finish his opponent in the end because of principles. Viral didn’t need principles to stop him from killing someone; if they didn’t deserve the relief the afterlife granted then they would suffer through life after being defeated by him. Viral knew he was acting on honour, but that’s what a warrior needed the most and he was losing a lot of that lately.

Viral gave a pretty strong glare at him, he could only get angrier at the wording Takeshi used. So the lowdown was he wasn’t going to respect his weapon until he knew how to use it, yet he would never learn how to use it if he couldn’t respect it first. This idiot was just a pain in the neck to work with and he just didn’t want to see respect in the sword. Growling lowly at his words, they hit a little close to home, “’Lie around’? So does that make you not respect me just because I’ve been lying around and not making use of myself? Don’t say it’s not the same either, because it’s exactly the same! You either learn respect…or you’ll never master it!”

Looking to Vegeta, it sounded as if he was going off to do an extinction run rather than simply trying to do good. It was quite irritating, there was even a moment when he was reminded of what Korian said about killing him off before he could do anymore harm. Glaring at him as he spoke, he looked away, giving a shake of his head, “You sound like someone I know”, he grumbled lowly, “I’ll do it because you want me to…I don’t care what your reasoning behind wanting to fight them is, even though none of you are capable of doing so…”

Viral was a little upset with being so close to Yumi after seeing that, but he couldn’t project any anger onto her or show any signs that he was. He didn’t even know why he was, but so long as she was happy then that’s all that mattered. Frowning a little when she talked, he gave a quick look to the others before down at his clothes. He didn’t want to wear them, but he would if he had to get out of these wet clothes and not feel this odd chill in his bones, “So you trust the ship with them…fine”, he spoke before looking to Takeshi when he decided to speak up, pointing out who was going. He guessed that was okay, he just wondered whether they could trust the bug in the corner to behave while on the ship too, “Hmph…I have no choice when nobody else is competent enough with a sword…fine, just…get out of here. I need to get changed and I hate people hovering over me and staring at me when I’m doing it…”

"No, I don't think you're the same because you're not a weapon," Takeshi retorted, frowning and getting defensive now. It had been an earnest and polite question, why did Viral have to get all angry about it? Even just trying to have civil conversation with the guy wasn't doing him any good, there just wasn't any making him happy. Slightly annoyed at the comment about lack of respect the Saiyan turned his head away, biting back a sharp comment as he folded his arms angrily. Fine, maybe he wouldn't go to the Beastman for help then, since Viral clearly didn't want to train him. After all, how could Takeshi show his sword proper respect when he had no clue how to use it? Bah, to hell with it. Sooner or later they were bound to come across somebody who could instruct him, or worst case scenario he would teach himself. Figuring an argument would only ensue if he pushed the subject the older boy went to the doorway, leaning against it while keeping his gaze elsewhere. Bothered a fair bit, but he kept his mouth shut. The last thing he wanted was to make Viral angry, and in having done so already now it was best to just avoid talking for the time being.

The comparison that Viral was drawing flew right over Vegeta's head. Whoever the Beastman was referring to clearly he was not a fan of them, that much he gathered. Sighing softly to himself then Vegeta lifted a hand, running it through his hair before looking back at his friend. "Yeah, the rest of us can't track them like you can, so we need your help. Thank you for agreeing to come with us." Why did he have to make it sound like he'd no choice in the matter. Viral really needed to get over this idea of subordination that he apparently held towards Vegeta, because the Saiyan didn't like it one bit. They were friends, not this master and servant exchange they seemed to have

Yumi and Takeshi each answered Viral's questions as best they could, the latter doing so before sulking off. It seemed a sound plan to everyone else involved, it gave Viral a chance to fight again and be more active, hopefully making him happier in the process. Thankfully Takeshi didn't take to the Beastman's comment about swords, as both Yumi and Vegeta expected an argument to break out. Their friend's request for privacy to change would be readily met.

"We'll just be right outside when you're ready Viral," Yumi spoke, smiling softly before turning and leaving the room. Ushering Choi out along with herself she was followed by Vegeta, then Takeshi and Kabocha. Once everyone had gathered out in the hall they closed the door to let Viral do as he needed, leaning up against the wall or standing about idly to wait. Finally, Takeshi decided to voice some annoyance.

"Didn't mean to upset the guy, sheesh. I just wanted to know how to use my sword is all..."

"You've got to be mindful of how he feels about his weapon. That thing's as much a part of him as Shu's tail is a part of Shu. Calling it just a 'thing' is insulting," Vegeta explained, rather impatient for Takeshi's complaints right now.

"Well I apologized! And he was still being a pain about it!" Takeshi gave a roll of his eyes, looking over his shoulder at the hilt of his sword jutting out. "Seriously, how else am I going to learn to use this thing?"

"Just swing it around until something happens, that's what I'd do." Kabocha said, smirking and hefting his shoulders in a shrug. "How hard can it be to be good with a sword anyways? As long as its sharp and you've got a good arm it can't be all that complex. I mean jeez, it's a sharp stick more or less."

"That 'sharp stick' was used to kill people for thousands of years on our world, and probably plenty of others too. In the right hands a sword is a very deadly tool. Anyone with basic training would make short work of Takeshi if he got into a fight." Fact was that swordsmanship wasn't someone just happened to pick up, it took precise drilling and practice. Vegeta shook his head in annoyance, letting out a sigh and looking across to Takeshi. "He'll train you, just give him time to cool down. He only just woke up and already you're demanding that he trains you, I can't blame him for being annoyed frankly."

Takeshi opened his mouth to offer a rebuttal, thinking better of it and closing it again. Vegeta was right, he really could have picked a better time, but instead his excitement got the better of him. "I'll try again later, when he's up for it. I really do want to learn how to use this thing." After all, Shu had his staff, and now Takeshi his sword. They could be trained concurrently, and hopefully there they'd get something more they could do together too. Goodness knows there had hardly been any time as of late for them to do anything remotely fun with just the two of them.

Viral was definitely not a happy guy right now, it was just ridiculous that anybody would think that a weapon was just a thing they’d be able to pick up and use professionally. If somebody attacked him with a sword and he had his ready to go, he’d still lose to the swordsman in no time flat. They may have their Ki and their fists, but their bodies were still vulnerable to a specialist weapon and considering how easily those weapons had been able to pierce them before, then they were going to be in a lot of trouble if anyone with skill came across them. Letting out a sigh he looked away from everyone, his eyes down at the clothes before they all finally decided to leave the room.

Watching as they all went out, he slowly stood up and rubbed his head, still feeling a little groggy. He really was feeling the tiredness after that, it was not a pleasant feeling either like waking up in the morning. This was the kind that was only felt after surgery and it was sickening. Once everyone was outside, he gradually began to change out of his clothes; however, that didn’t deafen their discussion on the outside. He could hear them clearly, there was no doubt about that, but what was probably the most insulting part was how they actually managed to talk loud enough as if they weren’t even trying to hide it, Takeshi especially.

That kid seriously knew nothing, his arrogance was beyond compare and the most insulting part was how he brushed it off like it was his fault and that he was being the pain. He didn’t want to go with them in the end, he didn’t need any of that noise. Trying to shrug it off for now, he continued to change his clothes; however, just as he getting himself finished and ready his gaze moved to the doorway as if an attack had suddenly come his way. He heard that, Kabocha calling it a ‘sharp stick’. So that’s all the sword was to him? Growling lowly, he pulled at the sleeves, ultimately deciding to tear them off and wrap his forearms up instead before clipping on his belt, his own blade ready for use as he wrapped his scarf around his neck.

Shu felt a little saddened over the discussion, seeing as how they hadn’t managed to make Viral happy even when they were trying hard. He thought he liked fighting, but he seemed reluctant to be anywhere near them. Maybe he was still worried about hurting them, but that worry had to had been long past and something else was creeping up. Letting out a sigh as they spoke, he looked up to his brother, frowning a little, “I thought he didn’t like you calling it a thing”, he spoke, shaking his head, “Please don’t call my tail a thing too…that’s mean…”

T’charrl couldn’t agree with Takeshi or Kabocha either; swords had been used as primary weapons for a long time in his culture as well and they were always deadly in the most skilled of warriors. To hear them being called sticks and things did hurt a little, especially when he had trained most his life to master every weapon he could with his father. Letting out a sigh he decided to back off a bit, giving them all some room as they argued a little bit about what a sword meant to them. He would probably go off and try to meditate in the end, all of it hopefully helping him keep control of himself and find his inner self once more instead of remaining in this large mutant body.

Choi was a little conflicted, but a lot of it he didn’t see as a big deal and it was all just for the sake of arguing to him. Letting out a sigh he looked to Yumi, smiling at her before moving to take a hold of her hand, “I’ll take care of the ship while you’re gone, I swear! If trouble comes, we’ll tell you immediately”, he nodded, trying to keep the others little quarrel out of their hair, “Do you need anything, just give us a shout. I’ll be happy to spar with you once this is all over and you get rid of those creatures, the planet might be really hostile…”

After a short moment, the door opened up but instead of a calm and collected Viral, a very angry one jumped out and went straight for Takeshi, his cleaver unsheathing as if to attack him; however, if the blade got any close to Takeshi without any sort of block, Viral’s blade would halt before it could cut even the sliver of clothing, his gaze focused on his eyes, “Can you even keep up with my blade…or is it still a ‘thing’ to you?”

It was safe to say the conversation over the sword wasn't going anywhere pleasant, so Takeshi elected to drop it altogether. Sooner or later Viral would come around to training him, he liked to think so. After all, they would be returning to Earth probably right after this, and there the Beastman would get his help. Once that was done he'd be happy... Or the equivalent of happy when it came to Viral.

"I know he didn't like that Shu... And I apologized," Takeshi said, a bit deflated that his brother was getting in on it too. He could very well argue with someone else, but with Shu he didn't have the heart to say anything back. Smiling sadly the older boy then shook his head, slumping slightly. "I wouldn't call your tail a thing, because it's not a thing. His sword... It's an object I guess? A tool? Thing was the wrong word to say, I get it. But I don't understand how it's supposed to be an extension of your body." That had very clearly flown over his head. It was a weapon, that's all it was. Whatever Viral was talking about was over complicating things, plain and simple.

Everything happening was a fair bit worrying. They were going on another mission, which every time it happened she couldn't help but become concerned. Simple fact being that they couldn't possibly know everything they might encounter, and they could well run into something well beyond their expertise. Hearing everyone arguing too was a downer, Yumi's ears folding flat against her head sadly. Viral was awake and at least a little better, they should be happy. Coupled with her already troubled thoughts and she was feeling awfully down now. Her hand was gripped by another, and she looked up to see Choi smiling at her reassuringly. "I know you guys will be fine up here. Just try and keep T'charrl some company too, please? I don't want him getting lonely since Shu is coming with us." The Kaesstrian was much like the little Saiyan in that regard, she'd found. With his being so far from home, family and comfort he definitely needed company. Maybe it would be best he come with them actually, now that Yumi considered it. Just as she was going to change her mind the healing room door slid open, and she turned expecting to see Viral coming out ready to go. What she didn't expect was for her friend to make a savage leap at Takeshi, his weapon drawn. "Viral, no!"

Takeshi had only just taken notice of the door opening up, and had absolutely no time to react to what was going on. Alarmed seeing the cleaver racing for him he did the only thing he could think to, raising an arm up above his head to take the blade instead of having something vital hit. Expecting the bite of steel he was confused when there was no pain, looking up baffled over his extended limb at the Beastman. So that was supposed to be some kind of test, was that it? Okay, now he was getting angry.

"Are you serious?! That's what that was about!" Takeshi snapped, dropping his arm and glaring at Viral. "I apologized already, what more do you want me to do?! Did you really have to go and nearly kill me, you jerk?" That was so uncalled for, he'd darn near lost a limb. Trembling slightly, both out of anger and a bit of fright he clenched his fists, resisting the urge of hitting his friend for pulling a stunt like that. Before things had a chance to escalate however the ship's communications system chimed to life, and one of the engineers voices sounded throughout the craft.

"Er... Everyone? We've got trouble!" the voice said, "At least five ships approaching, fast! We tried hailing them but they won't reply, and they all look like they're armed! What should we do?" Well that brought up a troubling situation, bringing the arguing to a quick close. With apparent enemies closing in fast they had to decide if it was fight or flight. Since they had gone through the trouble of getting to this world fight seemed to be a bit more of a convenient option, but was it better? The craft only had two cannons that they knew of, and some basic shields to absorb a few hits. Against five probably faster craft though was a fight going to be wise?

"Damn it all... Did the Saiyans send people after us?" Not good, they had to fight them. If these were Saiyan vessels they would be relentless in their pursuit, or at the very least report back with the craft they had. Vegeta didn't like their odds of a battle, still new to the controls, but it was crucial they not be seen or followed by the enemy. "I need two people to come with me to the bridge to man the cannons, I don't care who!" Turning then he began to run off towards the bridge again, making hasty speed to get there and turning into a faint blur rather quickly. Well some mess this had turned out to be. After Vegeta went Kabocha, more than willing to get into a fight, even if it meant losing their ship. That left just one person needed to fire the second cannons.

Choi was fair confident that he could do all of this, along with the help of his brother and Kabocha as well. This was definitely thrilling, maybe they’d even rescue some people down there or find some strong warriors, but even then without finding anything it was still exciting to have this level of responsibility. Giving her a nod, he looked to T’charrl who looked a little lost before back to Yumi, smiling, “Yeah! No problem, right? Maybe we’ll teach him how to speak out language without us needing to wear scouters all the time around him”, he spoke, feeling fairly confident. Just from the short moment where he thought everything was alright, the door opened and out came Viral like a wild animal with his cleaver heading straight for Takeshi. All he could do was let out a yelp when Yumi screamed, unable to do anything to stop him; however, luckily Viral had stopped, but then again Viral still looked pretty crazed there.

Keeping his cleaver close, Viral stared at Takeshi with threatening eyes, or at least what could be seen of his gaze with his hair hiding part of his face. There was a fair hostile air coming off him, his eyes not quite focused yet still knowing what he was doing. Staring at him as he shouted right back, he sniggered a little at his reaction, moving it closer to his face when he dropped his arm, “I could had killed you long before you even recognised the threat just for disrespecting me and MY weapon!” he spoke, pulling back slightly, “You didn’t even try to draw it…hmph, some level of faith you have in it over your own fleshy limb…”

Keeping his focus on Takeshi, the call over the intercom caused him to become momentarily distracted, his eyes blinking finally as he was slowly realising what was around him. Finally breathing again as he pulled away from Takeshi, his paw went to his head as he let out a groan, shutting his eyes for a moment. The pain was searing through his head just close to the point of unbearable before a white hotness took over and slowly sizzled it away, leaving him feeling momentarily dizzy. Finding it hard to think and comprehend what was happening, he sheathed his blade his mind turning elsewhere as Vegeta and Kabocha ran off after Takeshi, “…Imbeciles…they need to make contact with the enemy first…”

T’charrl was more than a little thrown off by what was going on, especially when the voice sounded out and something spoke through it. He had no idea what was being said or what was happening, only that the Saiyans had quickly sped off to do whatever they had to do. He didn’t know what would happen, he barely knew a ship like this had cannons and those weapons were greatly outdated on his planet; hell, he didn’t even think hurling a rock through space as a projectile would do much. Looking to Yumi and Choi, his attention quickly turned to Shu who was bouncing, tugging at his arm.

“We should follow them!” Shu squeaked, trying to get T’charrl to follow him. Shu had no idea what was going on or why they were being attacked, but he wanted to help and the only way he knew how was to follow the others. It didn’t sound good at all, he didn’t know what they were supposed to do in a situation like this. After a brief moment of confusion, T’charrl soon agreed and began to run with Shu, trying to catch up with the blurs.

Choi was feeling a little frightened himself, one wrong move could mean they’d be right back in the arms of their enslavers and possibly to the labs for their stupidity. It freaked him out quite a lot, but his eyes quickly went to Yumi as he pulled at her hand, “Let’s go! We can’t let them go at this alone, we gotta help”, he spoke quickly, giving a quick nod while making attempts to get Yumi to come with him, “We can’t end up back in Saiyan hands, right? We just earned our freedom…”

Takeshi really couldn't recount recently the last time he had been so close to soiling himself out of fright. The sudden nature of the attack coupled with the frenzied look that Viral was sporting had him a fair bit unnerved, to say the least. Seriously, they had butted heads before and all that had been exchanged was words. Now all of a sudden he warranted an attack with the cleaver, not exactly a toy. Was he really that sensitive about his weapon being called an 'it'? "You're saying you would have killed me for insulting your weapon?" Takeshi repeated, giving Viral an incredulous look. "And I don't know how to use my sword, so why would that be my first reaction? If SOMEONE would teach me how to use it then I probably would have sprung for it." Man, this was just such a pain. It was awfully exasperating trying to be helpful only for the person to turn around and nearly lop off one of your arms. Awfully difficult to maintain civility at that point. Bristling with anger it was a good thing the intercom buzzed to life when it did, potentially stopping a fight from breaking out. One brawl to another though, since there were enemies reportedly approaching their ship. Well that was peachy.

"How about instead of killing me you take it out on these guys?" Takeshi mused, smiling bitterly. "Come on, we'll need to help." This was not good, very much not good. Five ships of who knows what size coming after them. And the engineer had said at least, so there very well may be more. Assuming this thing even really could fight chances were they were going to end up drastically outnumbered here. While on a planet that may not be such an issue it wasn't so much their being defeated that concerned everyone, but the ship being beaten. As soon as the ship went so did all of them, simple as that. Cussing under his breath Takeshi ran after the others hastily, not wanting to let Shu go by himself even if he was with T'charrl.

"They're not going to take us back, you can count on that," Yumi said firmly, nodding her head. "I'd sooner die then go back to them." At least in Otherworld they'd be at peace, not having to worry about these blasted Saiyan soldiers any longer. Blinking as her arm was given a tug she stumbled after Choi, stopping him rather quickly and looking over her shoulder at Viral. "Come with us? I would feel a lot better if you were fighting at my side. Please?"

Vegeta got to the bridge pretty quickly, immediately going to the Captain's controls and taking his seat. Sure enough the display was already up, and five distinctive dots were heading towards them at a fair great speed. At the rate they were traveling they'd be within range in just under two minutes, hardly giving them any time to get ready. Frowning he quickly opened up the ship's weapon systems, beginning to bring them online as hastily as he could. With a few keystrokes the wings of the ship slowly began to rise, leveling out horizontally and steadying as a pair of twin cannons emerged from the tops. If need be they would be prepared to fire, so long as someone manned that weapon's controls. Most likely it was Saiyans coming to reclaim their ship, but it was best they try to make certain before possibly blowing apart friendly vessels. Broadcasting a signal out of the ship then Vegeta tried to reach their potential attackers. "Can you hear me? Listen, we do not want to fight you. We're just travelers, we don't want to fight. We're not with the Saiyans." Would be fair obvious if not for the fact they were in more or less a Saiyan flagship. It would be his word against the blatantly enemy vessel then.

Viral was fair pissed at Takeshi right now after everything he said, everything had managed to go against him and that kid still hadn’t learned his lesson. How dare he insult any sort of weapon and throw it off as nothing, not even a reaction from him either, just questioning why he did it. The kid had no faith in his weapon; he just wanted it because it ‘looked cool’ and had been defeated by one before. Nevermind, his head was hurting a hell of a lot now as that moment escaped him, the intense anger slowly passing as his target went away to mind the ship and see exactly who the attacker was.

Choi was fairly nervous, but there was Yumi to help him feel better with her reassurances and confidence. It was nice to have someone around him who had so much confidence, her light shining off her bright and well. Smiling at her, he stopped with her and looked back to the Beastman, seeing how withdrawn he was right now. He was definitely out of his mind, becoming the madman PTSD turns good soldiers into and nobody was noticing. Looking between him and Yumi he backed off a little, feeling a little worried that him coming close to them would cause the Beastman to lash out.

Viral didn’t think he belong where the others were heading, his reluctance to go anywhere near that lot was on a high and just thinking about it further annoyed him greatly. Not giving Yumi or Choi a look as they began to head off, Yumi’s voice directed towards him made him look to her a little, frowning, “I’ll kill them if they come here”, he spoke sternly, staring at her before he began to move in the direction the others went in, “Why should I hold back from my true nature? If they’re Saiyans, they’re as good as dead…” Immediately, Viral broke out into a run, heading straight for the others with no intention other than to do what he wanted against them, his care for morals hardly a concern.

The Saiyan flagship was well in the aggressor’s sights, the possibility that it was going into attack mode was fairly high as it was quick to pull out the cannons and retaliate. The attackers knew exactly what they were going for and wanted to hear of are response from the other side before they could go in and attack. The fact that it appeared that the Saiyans were back in this area was raising tensions very quickly; they never returned to areas they had previously been to unless they were trying to set up a base here and that would be a very bad move to let them carry on. The ship was large and could carry an army easily while an army of Saiyans would be a terrible thing to unleash upon this sector.

As the ships closed in to the Saiyan flagship, they circled around it to spy out its cannons as a call came through to them, claiming they were merely travellers. That was impossible; no traveller would ever fly through space in a Saiyan flagship. It was confirmed for now, they would have to make sure the cannons could never be fired first before they interrogated the caller, “Calling in to command! The unit claims to be travellers yet they carry the Saiyan emblem; permission to fire?”

“Don’t fire. Disable the cannons and I’ll patch through to them and you keep your team on standby”, a female voice patched through, “Don’t attack until I say so! Take out those cannons!” Their own flagship was sitting not too far away from the Saiyan one, but it was well hidden with its own stealth tactics. It was only detectable if it was noted that the formation of stars broke up around it in an unnatural fashion, a method that meant only the keenest of eyes would be able to see it. The radar was blocked, not even electronics could find it.

The ships moved around quickly, their weapons aiming straight for the cannons before a sudden pulse of energy was fired through the vacuum of space aiming to strike the cannons and send them offline. Other than the sudden and quick strike to the weapons, the ships moved into front-facing positions, keeping their guns pointed straight at the flagship. With the flagship hopefully under temporary mutiny, it was now time to contact them directly from the command centre of their own ship, a video feed that had no video running yet to hide identities until everything was established as the female voice spoke through once more, “You are surrounded! Who are you, you who claim to be travellers and not Saiyans while piloting a flagship? Don’t try to warp or you will be fired at immediately”.

Yumi wanted to convince Viral not to kill the Saiyans, to be a little more merciful about it all. Then again however she was feeling a little vindictive herself, now faced with the potential chance to get back at those who changed her. Killing them was probably beyond her, she'd never killed anyone before, but beating them up sounded awfully pleasant. "You don't have to change, and I don't want you to either..." she commented, biting her lip before looking away. "Just please be careful when you fight? We don't know who we might be up against yet, and it could be very bad." She herself was no coward, but that didn't mean she couldn't feel intimidated. There were some fair nasty Elites she had met, and even in her controlled state of mind she had been able to acknowledge their power. Not even counting the king there were plenty of men, and women too that were awfully strong. None of them would be able to beat the Elite one on one, she was positive of that. Running along with Choi, Yumi looked back to see Viral coming with them, looking very much ready to fight. Well that was good, at least he would fight with them.

Well this was not good, not at all. Vegeta couldn't figure out if there were more weapon systems from where he sat, not even knowing where to look to begin with. The two main batteries were online, but those were hardly going to do a lot of good against multiple, quick moving targets. Pretty soon he didn't even need to use the radar to spot the enemies, their proximity more than enough to make them visible. To his chagrin the ships began to spread out, encircling the larger vessel and priming to attack. Looking to Kabocha at one of the guns he nodded his head to get ready, they were going to need the weapons. Unfortunately they were not going to get the weapons to use, as a sudden blast hit the ship and two simultaneous warnings appeared; both cannons were disabled. Now they were quite literally sitting ducks, maybe only able to try and flee. A voice patched through their system then, a curiously familiar one at that. The woman rather quickly dismissed any hopes of fleeing from this, but maybe they weren't going to have to.

"We're travelers, like I said, that's all." Vegeta explained calmly, trying not to show how nervous he was feeling. Swallowing back said nervousness he rose up out of his chair, motioning for the engineers to set up a video feed. At the edge of the platform where he sat a camera turned on, signaled by a flashing light, and now hopefully they could communicate better. "My name is Vegeta, and... I am a Saiyan, but not part of the king's army. I'm from Earth, and I'm here with friends. We're to get home, we don't want to fight you." Not like they really could fight them, not unless they went ahead and started boarding the other ships. Hearing a door open behind him the Saiyan turned around, spotting the others coming inside the bridge, all onscreen as well. It could either be their saving grace or their condemnation, seeing as both Princes were in the room now. It had to be well known by now they had defected, so depending on who these people were the brothers would determine their fate. And, of course, Takeshi seemed intent to make things more difficult.

"Are you talking to the people attacking us?" Takeshi blurted out, frowning while looking at Vegeta. Noticing the camera he walked forward, getting well into the shot and crossing his arms over his chest. They had only just gotten away from trouble, and were supposed to be on their way home, now these people were causing them grief. Obviously he was not too ecstatic about this. "What do you people want? We're not giving the ship back, if that's what you came for. If my father told you to come get it then you're out of luck, it's ours now. So you can fly off in your little ships and- Mmmmmph!" Kabocha had come up behind Takeshi, quickly covering his mouth with one hand while pulling him back.

"Dude, really? They're the ones with the guns, not us! And if you haven't noticed we're sort of in the vacuum of space. I really don't feel like floating around in space."

Vegeta rolled his eyes, watching as Takeshi was pulled off by Kabocha, silently thanking the latter for probably saving their hides. Still, if this voice belonged to who he thought it did then even the overzealous Prince couldn't louse this up. Looking back at the camera and smiling faintly he decided to go out on a limb and try and put a name to the voice. Best case scenario this was over and they were safe, worst case he was wrong and, well, Kabocha's little fear of floating away would become a reality. "There... You know some of the people that are on here now, and we're not with the Saiyans, like I said. You're not really going to fire at us again, are you... Sayomi?"
