Still clung to Viral as though he might vanish Yumi struggled to calm herself down. Everything as of late was just stressing her out immensely, she was cracking under the smallest of pressures and composure was almost non existant. It was so degrading, hiding like this against her friend, she felt weak and useless. What the Beastman was suggesting though shook her to her core, she couldn't well stand to hear it. It wasn't working out how she wanted, her efforts only serving to aggravate Viral. What would happen though if she just up and abandoned him? With how careless he was for his own well being she couldn't be certain, yet she knew it wouldn't be good. For his own safety then, and perhaps her own sanity, she'd try to stay.

"You have your whole life too Viral! And yet you just want to die!" Yumi responded, staring up at her friend woefully. "You keep saying you want to die, and do you honestly think we can just let you do that? You're not even acknowledging how much we care about you anymore! No one wants to see you hurt Viral." Shaking her head fitfully she hid her face once again, squeezing her eyes shut and grasping at her friend's shirt tightly to keep a hold of him. "When you say you want to die... It scares us. You mean a lot to us, we want you to stay. A-And... How do you think it makes us feel?" she continued, opening her eyes only to stare down at the ground and their feet. "It's like you don't care, you're willing to just leave and hurt us... Is that it? Viral... If you go do you have any idea the kind of misery we'll be put through? It won't be worth living then, not without you." Yumi lifted her head slowly again, sniffling as she blinked through her tears, forcing a small smile. "Don't throw your life away, you're too important to do that."

This was turning into a proper problem, they needed to prepare and get Tesuga to safety. Neither Takeshi nor Shu could think of a good way to go about things, or a good way to keep the child safe. T'charrl however had a plan in mind, and a good one at that. Abashed to not have thought about it earlier Takeshi smiled eagerly, nodding his head in agreement. "That should work! If we keep them outside then Shu can definitely keep everyone safe inside. And that gives me a chance to try out this thing," he added, reaching back and tapping the hilt of his sword. That ought to work just fine, so long as they were mindful not to let anything slip past them. "What do you think Shu, can you protect them?"

Viral didn’t want Yumi to be sad like this, but it was difficult to make himself feel any good about anything he did or was told as well. She wouldn’t let go of him, she was well stuck on and was stubborn enough to keep a hold so tight that getting her off would mean removing his shirt and jumping off the cliff. Letting out a sigh, he looked elsewhere, keeping his arms raised slightly, “My whole life…? Do you even realise what that is to me…” he spoke, shaking his head. She would find the concept of his lifespan hard to comprehend, even he did. Having no memories of what he was like in a child form meant he had grown up quickly compared to normal creatures, meaning he was going to be like this until he was killed and have to watch them all grow old and die anyway. It was such a big issue for him, but they could never comprehend such a thing.

Giving her a quick glance down as she spoke, he was soon looking elsewhere again, letting out a groan in response. They shouldn’t have to feel that way, they could be just like Takeshi and forget he existed after a time. He couldn’t understand it, none of them should have to feel that way just because he would be gone. Letting out a sigh, he shook his head, finding it difficult to say anything that wouldn’t end up going against him, “Scares you? Everyone dies eventually…” he muttered, keeping his eyes off her, “I don’t plan on it being dishonourable…would you not be happy that I went out with honour? I just…don’t see a point…”

Viral was very conflicted, he couldn’t understand why any of them would miss him if he was gone, it would be less hassle for them since they would no longer have to look after him. They wouldn’t need to worry about any mental conditions he had, they wouldn’t even need to worry about how his abilities might develop or if he would become even more destructive, they wouldn’t even have to worry about him risking his life and being unable to fly to get out of high risk situations. Looking to her for a moment he let out a sigh, looking away, “It would be the same for me. If I survived…I would have to go through watching everyone grow old and die. It’s a no win for anyone, and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do once all this is finished with”.

T’charrl gave Takeshi a nod, smiling a little before tilting his head when he mentioned the sword, calling it a ‘thing’, “Huh? You mean the sword?” he questioned him, tilting his head, “I don’t know about calling it a thing, I mean…it has killed people in the past when the General had it”. It was definitely pretty confusing, but maybe it was a Saiyan thing to think of weapons as simply ‘thing’ compared to them. Scratching his head all confused, he looked to Shu, giving him a little smile. He was pretty confident he could fight the creatures and he did have his own natural weapons, even ones he was sure Takeshi and Shu hadn’t seen a Kaesstrian do. His natural weapons were things they had grown out using as weapons became more advanced, but they were still good when it came to hunting and killing.

Shu stared up at the pair, giving a little smile of confidence. He was sure he could pull that off, there really wasn’t much else to doing that other than making sure they were going to be safe and well while using what he could to keep them protected. He knew about the hole up at the top and how it might be possible for a Dural to slip that way, but he could stop that by protecting his friend using his abilities, “I can protect them! I can! I can do it…I swear”, he spoke, giving a quick nod, “I’ll keep them in their home and away…I can do that…"

Viral was immortal, or at least that's what Yumi had been told. So yes, she didn't really know what 'the rest of your life' entailed for him. She had never given it any thought before, what it would be like to live forever. Frankly the idea wasn't all that appealing, and for the very reason that Viral had stated. Seeing those around you die not once, but over and over as generations passed, that didn't seem tempting at all. In a way then she could almost sympathize with his feelings, knowing she may well feel the same way were she in his situation. She wasn't in his shoes however, and while she may die one day she wanted him in her life. Selfish to an extreme, but that's just how she felt.

"Everyone dies when it's their time, but you're trying to die before then... People shouldn't hurry up to die, especially not when there are others around them who care for them..." With the subject of honor being brought up Yumi shook her head in frustration, closing her eyes and letting out a soft sigh. She wasn't concerned with honor, albeit she didn't want Viral to spend his last moments in a pitiful state either way. Not that she was going to say it, but giving up and giving himself over to death like he wanted to now was dishonorable. If he truly wanted to die with honor, she mused, he would keep fighting and survive, at least a little longer. There was no honor in giving up after all.

"Well... Maybe when we start to go then you can go?" Yumi suggested, shrugging her shoulders meekly. "I know it's not fair to ask you to stay, but I can't help it. I wouldn't care about anything if you were gone, it just wouldn't be the same either. I need you here Viral..." This couldn't be helping him. If anything it was placing more weight on his shoulders and making him feel more obliged to stay. This was how Yumi felt however and she wanted to try and use that to keep him alive. Keeping her gaze fixated on his face she lifted a hand, smiling timidly as she placed a hand on his cheek, trying to make him look at her in turn. "Stay alive... For me? I'll do whatever you want, just promise me you're not going to let yourself die."

Takeshi was eager to use his blade finally just to see how he could do with it. The idea of fighting an animal as opposed to a person was a little lackluster, but he supposed it would have to do for now. Hearing T'charrl comment on his use of 'thing' for his sword the Saiyan sighed softly, giving his friend a narrowed gaze. "You too? Come on... It's not an animal, or a person, it's an object, so it's a thing. I don't get what the problem is with calling it that..." he grumbled, folding his arms across his chest. Were he a bit more insightful he may pick up something about two warriors chastising him over this, but he hardly had the mind for that right now.

"I know you'll be able to do it Shu, otherwise we wouldn't ask." Takeshi chimed, grinning at his brother as he gave his hair a ruffle. So that would be the plan then, he and T'charrl would fight while the rest went inside for safety. Fine by him, he was excited to get started. Reaching up over his shoulder he undid the strap on his sword's makeshift sheath, sliding the blade out and holding it at arms length. Turning the blade to see his reflection in it Takeshi smiled eagerly, giving it a practice swing before moving it into his right hand, figuring he'd use his strong arm to swing it. Looking over at the aliens then he nodded, stepping aside to get out of the way of the den. "Go on inside, we'll take care of the Dural and get you when it's over."

The father watched as Takeshi drew his blade, his eyes widening a little in appreciation. They had their own weapons as well, but none of them compared to the quality and craftsmanship of this blade. It was certainly foreign, made of a metal he didn't recognize. Even their finest craftsment could only forge modest metal weapons, and those themselves were not exactly durable or as pretty as this one was. After oogling the weapon for a moment he finally acknowledged what he was told, nodding his head and turning to his wife and son. "In, in. Hurry now." he urged, letting Tesuga inside first, then the mother. Looking back at the pair that would fight he smiled, feeling confident in their safety before following his family inside, Shu being the only one still out.

Viral didn’t know how else to say what was on his mind, she was just going to dunk all his words into the ground and come back with her own words that could only depress him. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do or say, he was completely denied all the time and made out to just be having bad thoughts. He couldn’t help it, they were constantly running through his mind like wildfire and it was hard to keep such thoughts away. He had no hope for himself in the future, no plans for his life and was just a case of surviving and seeing where it all went for him. The most he knew was he was going to Earth to get drugged up and dragged along on their little quest to get rid of a King, there was nothing for him other than simple revenge.

There was no place for a Beastman like him, artificial creatures served little purpose other than what they were designed for doing. He wasn’t even on Earth anymore and there were stronger people on the planet that could protect it, so it all felt fairly pointless to keep going without finally ending it all with a big battle. He would still put up a fight, but dying in battle was the most desirable way to go by far. Despite Yumi trying to give him encouragement, he knew there was no such thing as ‘his time’; he couldn’t exactly get a disease and die that way or grow old. It was already painful enough living like this knowing greater beings wanted you for your parts, but everyone else wanted him around because they were too nostalgic to let him go.

Keeping his eyes off her with a fairly depressed expression, he didn’t find many solutions in what she was saying without it all coming back and ending in a depressing thought. Going just because they were going was even more depressing than living through it, knowing that it was happening and the only way out of it was to go as well with no real knowledge to whether he would end up in Heaven, Hell or inbetween where all the great heroes went. They would probably be sent there while he went to Hell, seeing as how he didn’t have the best track record. It was still a question to whether he even had a soul or not, he never had that answered for him other than Yumi and Vegeta trying to reassure him in their friendly way. Hesitantly looking back to her when she forcefully turned his head, he narrowed his gaze before he let out a sigh, “Fine…but if I die, I don’t want you killing yourself because of me”, he spoke, shaking his head a little, “I just want to get to this ‘god’ and be done with it…if you’d even let me do that…”

T’charrl frowned a little at Takeshi, not exactly too sure what he was talking about. He wasn’t making very much sense, calling a sword an object or a thing, “Uhh…well no, but it’s still killed people”, he spoke, sighing a little, “My father named all his weapons, it was so inspirational…” He remembered when he was little his father talking about all his weapons he used and how many enemies he had defeated with each, it made him wish he had used his own sword to such a degree to give it a name of its own. He was quite happy with leaving his sword at home with his parents, knowing it was safe and away from superpowered beings made him feel a lot better about leaving it.

Shu nodded, feeling pretty alright to sit this one out if it meant protecting his friends. He wasn’t sure what he would do without them after all he had done, so protecting them was number one on his list so long as he remembered how to count. Looking towards the family, he squeaked when he heard Takeshi drawing his sword, giving it a swing around. Backing off quickly with fear that he might end up tossing it accidentally, he looked to the natives before giving a nod, running off after them, “Okay! I’ll be good protector!” he squeaked, going straight for the hole once the family was inside. He knew what he would do if one of the enemy ever got into the hole, but he only hoped he wouldn’t damage their home upon doing so. With any luck, his brother and friend would be able to fend off the attackers and get rid of them before the family would be in any danger, but he would still be there for them if worse came to worse.

It was relative little encouragement, but Yumi would take what she could get. Viral was still very much not with her and not optimistic, that was going to take a lot more work to accomplish. At least now he wasn't talking about himself dying, albeit that didn't mean he wasn't thinking it. Smiling gratefully she gave his cheek a gentle pat, holding her hand against it perhaps a moment too long before she finally let it fall back down to her side. "I never said I don't want you fighting, I just don't want you fighting alone," Yumi pointed out gently, turning to look back at the valley. It was a bit of a walk on foot, though maybe they didn't have to walk. It would depend on how agreeable her friend was right now as to how quickly they would get to this mountain and the god's abode. "Want me to fly us there Viral? Or we can walk, whatever you want to do."

"Named his weapons...? That's kind of cool, I guess," Takeshi remarked. He couldn't imagine giving his sword a name, not that he'd even know where to begin. That just seemed odd, a little too personal maybe. A sword was just a sword after all, right? Smiling at Shu while he hurried off into the den the older boy moved away from the entrance a bit, holding his sword down as he dragged the tip over the blades of grass idly. Just before the edge of the grass did he stop, looking out over it all as if expecting to see some movement out there. "T'charrl, any chance you want to get up in the air and look around? Maybe see if you can spot them?" Takeshi asked, turning back and walking over to the entrance again. "Or we can just play the waiting game, whatever works."

Viral wasn’t wholly convinced on what he would do in the future, but telling Yumi to not kill herself over him was definitely what he needed to get forward first. He was still confused and a little lost, whether those feelings would change in the future was still a mystery to him even after he got medicine. With his mind confused and unable to think completely clearly, he looked to her hand as she continued to hold his cheek, wondering why she was keeping her hand there before simply watching it drop. She was definitely a confusing creature, maybe it was just a human thing, though, “You’re going to get hurt, anyway…”

Viral felt a little out of the flow, he didn’t know what he was doing anymore and Yumi had managed to pull him out of that thought pretty quickly with her crying over him. He didn’t want that or expect it, he just wanted to be the one to decide his own fate. Staring down into the mountains with a confused and lost expression, he looked to Yumi when she suggested flying only for him to grumble at the thought. Being flown around always made him feel a little sour, but he was sure the others knew why, “…Fine, fly me there. Can’t walk down a cliff, don’t be stupid…”

T’charrl nodded, giving a little smile, “Uh huh, it’s very cool…but it makes it even more sad when they break”, he spoke, letting out a sigh, “It’s a great honour to give a weapon a name, it can become its own legend…” Feeling pretty proud and too much in the moment, he blinked and stood up straight when he remembered where he was and what was happening. Looking to Takeshi, he gave a quick nod and immediately flew up into the air, “What do these things look like if it’s the same thing?” he asked, looking down at him quickly, “We should take them away from the den once they show up, right? I mean…they further away they are, the better, just incase…”

Yumi only shrugged her shoulders at Viral's words. If she had an aversion to being hurt she never would have gone through with learning martial arts in the first place. Pain was a part of what she did, it was a fact she accepted wholly then. If she shirked from every potentially painful experience her fights would have been far and few between, none of which worth mention. "Pain is good in a way," she finally muttered, lifting a hand to brush a bit of her hair from her eyes. "It means we're alive. It'll be a bad day when I can't feel pain. So... In a way I look forward to getting hurt." Some kind of strange logic there, but to her it made sense. Fighting, getting hurt, even losing was all part of being alive. Perhaps if Viral could see it that way then he'd not be so down on himself.

Despite his well pronounce aversion to flying Viral had agreed to Yumi's suggestion. Just as well, because the alternative would possibly take them all day to see to. Sticking her tongue out at being called stupid she smiled cheekily, finally releasing the Beastman and turning around so he could hold on. Once his grip was secure and her own on him the pair took off, flying fair casually over the cliff's edge and the valley below. This was going to be much faster no doubt, as already the mountains were beginning to come into view. As they approached and it became more clear she could see a clear pass cleaved into the mountains, starting at the base of it. They could land and walk, sure, but that sort of defeated the point of flying in. Plus they weren't exactly going for discretion here, so flying in it was. Yumi made it a point to keep an eye on the pass, figuring it had to lead somewhere, possibly to the god. If not then surely one of them would notice something along the way.

"A legendary sword? Oh now that sounds really neat. Maybe the whole naming your weapon idea isn't so lame after all." Takeshi looked down at the blade in his hand, wondering just what in the world he could possibly name his own. Nothing came to mind, at least nothing that wasn't cliche or just plain random. It'd have to be something unique and cool, something to stand out. He'd have to figure it out later though, he had to focus on the task at hand. Nodding when T'charrl took to the air the Saiyan returned his gaze to the grass, still watching intently for any movement. "Yeah, we can lure them away if we have to. But we'll need to be careful, if they don't follow us it could be bad."

Takeshi was staring directly at the grass the entire time, watching for the slightest movement to indicate a predator. Aside from the ripple of the wind there was no rustling, not even a single blade moving out of place. If these "Dural" or whatever were coming this way then they must be awfully tiny to not budge any of the grass. Or perhaps they were approaching another way altogether. So focused on the grass was he the Saiyan failed to notice a shadow sliding along the ground, approaching from the right. Takeshi had no idea what was coming until he felt something touch his leg, at first a simple nudge, then a strong, sudden grip. Letting out a surprised yelp he looked down, astonished to see an orange arm protruding from the ground, its three claw like fingers wrapped firmly around his limb. Uttering an incoherent string of surprised words he kicked the arm, thankful that it released him. Skipping back away from where it had come up he held his sword at the ready, watching as a creature rose up from the dirt in a purple mist similar to the one on the ship. So it was the same thing!

The monster glowered at Takeshi angrily, immediately recognizing the Saiyan as a threat and being in its way. The den entrance was behind him, and noting the weapon in hand it knew it had to get through him. With a guttural snarl it bore its large fangs, barreling straight at the Saiyan and opening its gaping maw, trying to bite down on him. Takeshi again let out a surprised little sound, perhaps not quite expecting the beast to attack right off the bat. Gripping his sword securely he watched the animal approach, glancing down at his weapon almost clueless for a moment. Well he had the weapon, now he had to try and make use of it. Finally getting the sense to raise the blade he did so just as the monster reached him, narrowly avoiding being chewed down on but being rammed to the side by the monster instead. Barely keeping upright he scrunched up his face in annoyance, looking at the sword again. Just swing the stupid thing, how hard can it be?

Viral couldn’t be bothered with all of this, his mood had been completely shot and arguing about pain was just annoying in all of its sarcasm. He didn’t need that attitude from her right now, she knew fine well what he was talking about and she knew what his mood was like right now, so hearing her talk to him like that was just making him angry, “Don’t you make it out to be nothing! You know what I’m talking about”, he spoke harshly, keeping his eyes off her, “There are so many ways you can get hurt and most of them come from being around me. You’re either going to get clawed or thrown or possibly even crushed…and don’t ask how that can happen, but it can”.

With Viral feeling pretty wound up and Yumi being the cause of it, he found it pretty difficult to get up and going to go flying with her. He didn’t really like the thought of flying and if he was by himself then he would be off into those mountains without needing to fly, but with her it was a little bit more difficult. He couldn’t use the abilities he had gained or the agility he had just incase she tried to copy him, something she’d most likely try and do anyway. Letting out a sigh as she turned around, he hesitated a moment before eventually taking hold of her, feeling awkward already. Once they were up in the air he didn’t feel so bad, but it was still incredibly awkward and he still couldn’t help but feel incredibly vulnerable like this when one tiny mistake would send him falling straight to the ground. He barely had time to look around, his eyes not so much looking to the mountains as they were looking to the ground.

T’charrl didn’t know how to feel about being up like this, especially when the creatures could had easily been fliers too and could possibly pull him out of the air and drag him to the ground in an ambush attack. If Takeshi was confident that he’d be able to be of use in the air then he was going to stay up there for now, his eyes surfing the ground below for any sort of nasty creature; however, without any warning there was a noise from Takeshi, looking down to him to see a strange arm popping out of the ground and grabbing his leg. Letting out a gasp he looked around, his antennae waving around to try and catch the scent of any other attackers considering there was more than one creature mentioned by the native.

Feeling a little lost as the creature popped right out of the ground in a strange energy, he looked around hastily as one of the monsters eventually showed themselves as it crawled out of the ground just as it reached the cave. It looked like it was trying to use the distraction by its partner to sneak in and grab the child, but T’charrl was not going to let that happen as he immediately dived straight down at the strange creature, slamming right into it and forcing his claws down on it in a hasty attack. With a grunting yelp from the creature at the surprise caused by T’charrl, it wasn’t long before T’charrl tried to sink his sharp teeth into it before he was suddenly grabbed by his fur and thrown away. Landing on his feet in a brief flutter, it definitely appeared as if the creature’s attention was on him as it immediately made a move to charge straight at him with T’charrl trying to use this opportunity to lead it away from the den, “Takeshi! Care to get away from here?”

Keeping Viral aloft was proving easier than Yumi had worried. She hadn't piggybacked him in a while, and with the obvious size difference between them she worried it might be just the tiniest bit awkward. With no problems during flight however she was allowed to go along with ease, keeping a sharp eye out for anything below. Unfortunately they hadn't been told what to look for out in the mountains, only that the god was out here. Having just entered the range it was impossible to see the far end of it, albeit in part probably because they were relatively low. She would rise to the peaks if she wasn't worried about it being too cold, or Viral becoming uneasy. So she stayed relatively in the middle, following the pass below as best she could.

It was proving to be a good thing that Yumi had opted to follow the path. Now and again she would see a small lit beacon down below, indicating that there was something further along. Yet when she looked ahead initially there was no hint at just what they may be traveling towards. As they went further and further into the mountains there were hints that they were on the proper path. Along with the lit beacons were banners, made of some sort of hide by the looks of them with an indistinguishable mark painted on them. And sure enough, a few moments later into their flight she spotted what had to be their destination. A mountain stood in the way of the path perhaps a kilometer ahead, and even from the distance they were at she could make out a large structure built onto it. The closer they got the more she realized it was a sort of temple, and a massive one at that. Eyes wide she looked over her shoulder at Viral before slowing down a bit, landing them at the bottom of a long set of steps. "Holy cow... Think this is it?"

Having the monster collide with him hurt a fair bit, the think was pretty much as solid as a rock. Slightly winded from it Takeshi took a moment to gain his composure, still settling down from the surprise of the attack a moment before. T'charrl took notice of it too, and had even managed to stop a second creature, one he hadn't accounted for. Hopefully there were only the two, otherwise they were going to be in for a tough time. Nodding his head at his friend's suggestion the Saiyan looked back at his opponent, smiling slightly. "Come get me stupid!" he taunted, turning around to shake his backside. When he glanced over his shoulder the creature was bearing down on him, and with a short, forced laugh he darted away, heading along the tall grass with the monster in tow.

Racing along as he was Takeshi took the creature as far as he could, right away from the den until even the rock face in which it was bore was well out of view. Only then did he finally stop and turn, preparing to right the creature. As before it came charging at him, looking ready to chow down on his hide yet again. This time however he was ready, his sword in hand and poised to strike. Raising it up he tried to bring it down in a vertical slice, aiming to hit the creature's shoulder and hopefully disable it a little. Because of the angle he cut though it more or less brushed right off, only managing to take some skin with it. Furiously the creature tackled him to the ground, and in a flash it was snapping its jaws at him, trying to take him in its gaping maw. With his sword knocked to the side Takeshi had both hands on the creature's head, pushing away to avoid becoming a late afternoon snack. Grunting in exertion he managed to push the head away a bit, enough to land a solid punch on the throat and make the animal back off. Wincing as his knuckles were stabbed by the hide he grabbed the sword, running off again to get some distance. This was going to be harder than he thought.

Viral didn’t like flying like this, his worry being directed down to the ground if Yumi ever allowed him to slip out of her grip. He had quite a drop if that was to ever happen, he would never be able to recover in the air and would have to take falling to the ground as either unavoidable or hope Yumi would catch him again. He really didn’t feel comfortable doing this and the further away from the ground he was the more worried he was, especially when Yumi wasn’t the most balanced person. He wasn’t really looking around him as he was flown away, all he could feel was concern over the possible fate that may befall him if Yumi was to get careless.

This was just horrible, the feeling of stress mixed with starvation and tiredness was just getting to be a little too much lately and maybe he even wished he would just drop just so he would be rendered unconscious and not have to feel this way. Staring down at the ground, he barely noticed the strange path or even the beacon, only looking when Yumi spoke up again. Letting out a groan as he raised his head, he stared at the strange structure with confusion, not exactly recognising it as something that would be a part of this world. Staring at the strange structure, he looked to the ground as he finally touched down, moving away from her quickly once he was back on his own feet, “…Probably, I don’t get it though”, he spoke, giving it a good staring at, “It doesn’t feel natural…at least, not formed from this planet”.

Looking to see Takeshi going with the plan to leave, T’charrl let out a sigh and looked back around to see the creature he had managed to distract start to follow him, trying to grab him out of the air. Turning back to look at it as it made one quick leap, he raised up quickly as it passed under him before dropping down, pushing it to the ground with a quick shove before continuing on away from the den. They were getting pretty far away now, hopefully it would be enough just incase something happened to one of them and they needed to take over fighting two until the other recovered. Looking to Takeshi, he let out a gasp when he was suddenly swiped out of the air, dust flying everywhere as he bounced along the ground for a bit. It didn’t hurt too hard, but it was certainly managing to hinder him as he moved to get back up.

Despite getting further away from the child, the creature had zero care and just wanted to kill the pair before it was to complete its task. The child could wait while these two would be a threat throughout the whole journey back and that would just be pretty inconvenient; besides, they could do with eating them for the trip back. The biggest out of the pair was definitely looking to be the most meaty, it’d probably get a lot out the bug compared to the other smaller creature so he wasn’t a concern right now; however, when it managed to hit T’charrl and send him flying, the dust that came off him caused it to stop and begin to sneeze, wiping its nose and snorting. That was definitely unappealing, it was even itchy after doing that. Letting out a loud snort, it looked to Takeshi instead, deciding to charge him to see if it could knick it off its partner.

T’charrl may had been hit down but he wasn’t out, not by a longshot. While the hit had managed to get him out of the air, it felt more like blunt force and only managed to leave a mark. Shaking his head a little, he looked up quickly only to immediately try and charge straight in with energy shots charging, firing straight for the creature that was still on Takeshi hoping to throw it off before it could chase him anymore, “Takeshi! The other’s not paying attention to me!” he called out, hoping he would get the message that the other was now blindly charging for him.

Yumi gave the temple a good staring at, trying to figure out just what might be lurking inside. If this wasn't where the god was hiding then they were utterly lost, it looked the part certainly. She was a little skeptical too that this temple was a product of the locals, and Viral sounded like he agreed. Both of them were getting a strange vibe off of the structure, one she couldn't shake no matter how she tried. It felt unnatural, almost like an eerie feeling of something that shouldn't be existing just up the flight of stairs. Reflexively being covered in goosebumps she gave her own arms a rubbing, frowning in displeasure. "You feel it too? Eck... I don't like it..." Yumi mumbled, giving a shake of her head. But they were here, and they had a task to see to. Like it or not then they were going in to face whatever was giving off the unsettling aura. Was this the sort of thing the boys had experienced before on the ship? It could be possible, yet she would think something this nasty would have been felt completely across the vessel. No, this had to be something else she reckoned, something worse than just the creature they had encountered.

"May as well see what's going on. No use in standing around here," Yumi mused, putting on a smile as she began her ascent up the stairs. The closer she got on her approach the more the feeling hit her, it was almost like a noxious odor. Regardless she kept moving up, trying to ready herself to face what lie within the temple. With the feeling of uncertainty came her imagination running wild, trying to picture just what they might be facing off against. A plethora of wild and imaginative creatures all crossed through her mind, albeit she was sure not a single one of them were going to fit this beast. Soon enough they'd find out, and a small part of her she refused to acknowledge was sort of hoping they wouldn't have to. "Tell me what you want me to do in this fight, does that sound fair...?" Yumi asked, looking back at Viral. "I can just support you where you need it, or we can fight right together. I don't want to be stepping on your toes, I just want to be nearby in case something happens, that's all."

Playing cat and mouse was going to get tiresome awfully fast, and it couldn't possibly last. The creature had some tricks up its sleeve apparently, chances were it could catch him if it really wanted to. Plus when the objective was to eliminate the beast just leading it around in a wild goose chase wasn't going to accomplish that, unless maybe it over exerted itself and had a heart attack or something absurd. Deciding then to fight Takeshi skidded to a stop, spinning on his foot to face off against the monster once again. Right as it charged towards him however it was smacked aside by a blast, being knocked a modest distance away and knocked off its feet. He hardly had a chance to enjoy that however seeing the second one now bearing down upon him as well. Again he tried to make use of his sword, rushing forward and bringing it down in an overhead strike, hoping to catch the creature off guard with his sudden attack. Once more it didn't work out, and after missing his attack he was hit in the torso by the monster's head, getting knocked off into the nearby cliff face fair hard, grunting and dropping his sword as a result. Closing his eyes on impact he opened them to see the beast coming at him again, and hastily he rose up into the air, watching in slight amusement as his attacker barreled straight into the cliff, smashing into it and burying its head a little. For good measure he held down one hand, gathering up a fair bit of Ki before firing down, figuring he could do what T'charrl had done. Shockingly however he watched as the Ki hit the monster and just... Was soaked up, or at least that's how it looked like.

"Oh come on, that's not fair!" Takeshi whined, relaxing his arm as he watched the monster pull out of the wall. Again to his alarm he was put on the defensive, this time as the monster fired back at him. Watching its mouth open up to reveal a black abyss his eyes widened when a black and purple orb of energy formed in its mouth before being shot off, speeding right for him. Pushing off the wall he raced away, expecting an explosion to happen behind him. When he glanced over his shoulder though the orb was chasing him, and catching up. Gritting his teeth angrily the Saiyan flipped over in mid flight, firing off a Ki blast to intercept the attack. It wasn't absorbed like when it hit the creature, and even managed to blow it up. As the area was baked in a purplish hue from the blast he shielded his eyes with his arms, keeping that way until the lighting had turned back to normal. Looking down at the ground both creatures were back up, staring in his direction with an unsettling hungry gaze about it. So he was pretty much useless in this fight, but T'charrl thankfully wasn't. "T'charrl...? I'll lead them, try blasting them!" he called, waving in his friend's direction. Takeshi then flew down towards the ground, low enough to make the monsters take a swipe at him before darting away, enticing them to follow as he moved along.

Viral didn’t know what to make of it, the whole structure feeling completely unwanted in an area like this and all it managed to do was make him increasingly unsettled as he stared at it. He didn’t want to admit that it was a problem regarding how he felt about it and possibly fighting near it, but just now he wanted to just leave. Looking behind him, he could do with going elsewhere and forgetting this place existed, but he still had to kill this so-called god and that was most likely in this place. Letting out a groan, he slowly rubbed his neck before looking to Yumi as she spoke, sighing, “Well you better get used to it”, he spoke, shaking his head. It was fairly familiar, just like the one on the ship.

Staring up at the strange structure, he looked to Yumi before simply following her up the stairs. He wasn’t sure whether this was the best course of action, he should have simply destroy the place and see if anything came out to retaliate. Staring up for a moment before he turned his head around a little, trying to see if there was anything out of the ordinary, Yumi soon spoke up again and caused him to look back with slight annoyance over her questions that she should had asked while flying, “I was the one who was telling you to go back to the ship! Why must you ask me about that now?” he spoke, letting out an annoyed growl, “If you wanted to help, you could had gone elsewhere while I killed this apparent ‘god’…but instead you might as well be the one on the scouter’s signal saying whether we killed it or not…”

The monster never had the plan to go after a dusty creature like T’charrl, so taking Takeshi for itself was definitely proving to be the better idea for it and its mealtime. Its partner could have the dusty one, surely. Racing on after Takeshi, it was a little surprised when its partner was hit instead with a blast, one strong enough to send it flying away and crashing. This was a bother, but not getting rid of these two would just have them chasing the kid once they took it and would put them at a disadvantage. Skidding to a halt, it turned to look at T’charrl with greedy eyes, but soon its partner was quickly retaliating and tried to blast the fleshy one away. The attack was quickly banished with a strong blast in return, but it was barely going to do anything as the creatures were just as eager as ever with T’charrl being pressured into fighting them himself.

T’charrl didn’t know how he was supposed to combat two of them, especially with the way he was and how unstable he could be. He didn’t want it to be this way, but Takeshi wasn’t using his blade correctly and seemed pretty set on flying low to the monsters to get them to follow him, “What?? But I can’t-…whatabout your sword?” he asked out, watching as the claws narrowly missed Takeshi who immediately flew away from the raging beasts, the chase back on once more. He didn’t have that much energy on him that wasn’t going to drain quickly and when that happened, both him and Takeshi were going to be in danger. Flying on after them, he tried to suck up his worries and threw energy for the creatures as they made their chase, trying to throw them off and hopefully do some damage to them. He didn’t know how his energy was able to hurt them or if that was hurting at all while Takeshi’s barely did a thing, but all he knew was he had to try and do something and hopefully do it before he lost control.

"I kind of meant more along the lines of 'You distract it' or 'You switch in when I need a break', but I guess I can play secretary," Yumi remarked, huffing and giving a dramatic roll of her eyes. She'd thought they were past the whole going back to the ship, now that they were here on the supposed battlefield. Apparently not. Too bad for Viral then, she was definitely going to be staying at this point. Figuring she'd lay on her annoyance she looked up at her friend, talking in a mock sweet tone as she waved a hand in the air idly. "Can I get you some coffee too while I'm at it, Mr. Viral? Or maybe a back massage?" Yumi wasn't wanting to get annoyed, but for some reason her friend's remarks struck her as sexist, even when she plainly new they weren't. It had been quite the issue growing up, always being cast aside in sparring matches and fights simply for being a girl. Perhaps it was because this was reminiscent of those cases that she felt annoyed.

Figuring she was probably making feel Viral feel awful now she reeled in her remarks, exhaling to calm herself. "I'm sorry Viral... I just don't want to go back. I'll drop it now." Were they to fight together they couldn't well be arguing, that just bode poorly. Mistakes were made when teammates couldn't cooperate, and considering they were going up against a god-like creature they had to be working in tandem. Further and further up the steps they went until they reached the top, and Yumi took a moment to simply look at the grand structure before them. The temple was awfully ornate for such an empty world, looking like its pillars were carved out of granite, deep indents running along them and apparently painted a darker color. The roof was peaked, and beneath the roof itself was an emblem implanted on the front. It was probably the same one as the banners below, had they checked, some kind of rock or something, she couldn't really make it out. This close to the building Yumi was now able to appreciate both the sheer size of the structure, and the unsettling aura within. Whatever they were going up against wasn't very nice.

"Well... Here goes nothing..." After rolling her neck and cracking her shoulders Yumi made her way towards the entrance, slowing down gradually as she got closer and closer. The insides weren't lit at all by the looks of things, and her vision wasn't adjusting as quickly as she'd like to the dim lighting. What she could make out was an aisle that stretched from the entrance to the back, wherever that might be. It was so dim she couldn't even make out the walls around them. Frowning uncertainly and clamming up a fair bit at being in the dark she reflexively went to Viral's side, clinging onto him and tucking her head down a bit, hoping her eyes would serve her better soon. "Is there... Um... A light in here...?" she asked hopefully, her eyes scanning the darkness. The uneasy feeling and the pitch black had her skin crawling and her nerves on high alert. So when there was a slight rustling she near jumped right onto Viral, giving a loud "eep" and squeezing her eyes shut. When she opened them again she saw a small animal sitting off to the side, watching as it ran off towards the entrance and outside nonchalantly. That was a bit embarrassing Yumi mused, smiling up at Viral sheepishly.

The whole bait plan wasn't exactly Takeshi's normal style, but it wasn't as though he could do a ton else. Blasting these things didn't do any good, and sure he could hit them... If he didn't mind his hands turning into ribbons. Pretty much he was more or less a hapless morsel right now, which at least meant he could keep them away from Shu and the natives. Just to make sure that the monsters didn't bore of him he kept low enough so they might be able to reach him, were they quick enough to catch up. As far as speed went he could outpace them easily, yet he slowed enough just to keep things relatively close. Needless to say the hair on the back of his neck was standing up the entire while, imagining those things breathing down on the back of his neck. This couldn't go on forever and he well knew it, so he opted for the one recourse that they knew worked; T'charrl's energy attacks. Thankfully the Kaesstrian didn't tarry, throwing down a few blasts to disrupt the chase, if only for a moment. One creature had an attack land right under it, and the concussive force made it fly up and flip over, landing awkwardly on its back. The second was blown to the side after a moment too, leaving both dazed. Maybe now he could do something more useful.

"Uh... Right! My sword!" Like it had done a lot of good thus far, yet he was still willing to give it a go. Making sure the monsters were down Takeshi rushed over to where his weapon laid, scooping it up in his hands and going right in for an attack. Figuring he'd tackle the one that was flipped he rose up over it, jumping and bringing the blade down onto the creature to try and stick it. A bit surprisingly it worked, and with a sound that made his stomach churn the blade slid in, the monster's hide apparently not very good with piercing or slashing. Driving about half his blade in the Saiyans stopped only when it wouldn't go in any further. All the while the monster writhed about, snarling and trying to lift its head awkwardly to bite at Takeshi. At the same time the second creature had gotten up and was advancing on him, hoping to take advantage of the chaotic moment. Seeing the other one he quickly tugged the sword out, briefly watching the purple mist spew from the creature before going after the second. Taking a bit more of a calculated swing this time he managed to drive the blade into its shoulder... Where it stuck. In mid air with his hands on the sword awkwardly he blinked in surprise, letting go and blocking quickly as the monster swung its arm around, taking the hit and being knocked away and to the ground. A quick recovery and Takeshi pushed himself off, going up into the safety of the air again, sans his sword. "Well crap... Any other ideas?"

After telling Yumi to stay put, Viral thought she might end up comprehending what that meant and why it would be important to be in that position; however, she immediately took offence to it and referred to herself as a secretary instead. Looking to her a moment before away again, he let out a groaning sigh and simply rolled his head to the side, feeling pretty fed up already. Now she was just being rude to him with all these remarks when he just wanted one simple thing from her, feeling all sorts of negativity from her. Looking away from her, he remained silent until she apologised, looking back at her with a disappointed expression, “This is why I prefer to fight alone; so I don’t hurt anyone and can fight how I want to fight”, he spoke, looking away, “I wish you would understand that…you and the others”.

Upon arriving at the entrance, the darkness within was not so much unsettling as it was mysterious and strange. He didn’t know what to make of it, it was almost as if there was nothing inside and all that was just a setting. He didn’t have any problems with the dark, his eyes easily adjusted to it and he could see pretty well after a few seconds would pass, but other than that he couldn’t see much that was interesting or eye-catching. While he was not paying much attention to Yumi, when she grabbed onto him he looked down at her curiously, raising an eyebrow before looking off in the direction of the noisy offender, watching it run off to the entrance. Letting out an annoyed sigh he looked back to Yumi, his cat eyes appearing as if they were glowing with the faint light from the entrance, “Good to know you didn’t get improved eyesight at all, seeing as how you still wet yourself in the dark…”

T’charrl wasn’t sure what he would be able to do if Takeshi couldn’t get it together, the guy hardly understanding what it meant to use a sword and was pretty content with not using it. If he had brought a blade incase these monsters were found here then surely it was useful, but leaving it around wasn’t at all useful and was downright bad play. He couldn’t fight two of these creatures by himself, but managing to hit them proved to be helpful as one was stunned and the other was left on its back. Feeling the odd burst of energy that came with fighting, he flew around excitedly just waiting for Takeshi to actually use the sword and do some damage to the monster.

Once the blade was driven into the beast, T’charrl quickly moved down to the ground, almost anticipating the creature’s demise seeing as how the blade worked wonders. The sword was definitely the weapon they needed to deal major damage, his own energy attacks only seemed good at stunning them rather than outright killing them. Feeling that odd moment of anticipation when Takeshi appeared to be taking too long, he let out a gasp when Takeshi was almost hit away but ended up leaving the sword behind, “Ah! You let go?” he gasped, staring down at the beast for a moment, his eyes soon going to Takeshi as he frowned, “I-I…don’t really know…but we have to get that sword back”. Takeshi shouldn’t had left it behind like that, he should had removed it the moment he had driven it in. Feeling worried, he flew in quickly towards the monster, glowing with energy as he tried to make an attempt to reach out and snatch the blade straight out of the monster.

"I'm not telling you how to fight Viral, I just want you to be careful while fighting..." Yumi said, still a fair bit meek in the dark. "There's a difference." She wasn't trying to dictate his every move, or if it came across that way then it wasn't the intent. All she wanted was for him to be safe, that shouldn't be such an absurd request coming from a friend. After the indignant spook from a little rodent she shot Viral a nasty gaze when he poked at her fears, only sticking her tongue out and letting go. She still felt that suffocating sensation that came when being in the dark, but her annoyance overrode that for the most part. Still, she held her own arms again, looking around for some kind of light. "Maybe I did get better eyesight, maybe I just don't know how to use it..." Yumi remarked, shrugging her shoulders. There had to be some kind of light around here, she couldn't stay in the black like this. Holding one hand out then she began to meander around the temple, trying to find a switch, or even a torch to light. Not seeing much made things definitively more difficult, and goodness knows where the torches might even be if there were any.

Yumi kept up her blind escapade, desperate to find a light source. She managed to find an interior pillar more than once, and the wall, but no lights. Using the faint glow of the door as her starting point she opted to travel deeper inside, becoming infinitely more timid the further she went. To Viral who could see in the dark she must look absurd, shuffling about like an old woman as she was. The temple itself was proving to be larger than she thought, and more than once she figured she would have reached the end only to find there was yet more room to go. Eventually she was ready to turn back, figuring this place was most likely abandoned. Before she did her hand finally reached out and touched something she had yet to touch. It was cool to the touch like the stone, but felt a bit more rough, nothing like the polished finish of the structure. Confused she ran her hand along the surface, moving up and down to try and figure out what it was. Eventually her hand slipped off of the rocky surface and found what felt like fur, but that wasn't right. Why would there be fur? As her hand raked across the hairs there was a loud snorting noise that came from directly before her, making her cringe as her sensitive ears were rattled a bit by the sound. With the noise came the lighting of several pyres spread throughout the temple, lighting down in a line from the very back where she stood towards the doors. Once the final one was lit they could see inside almost as plain as day, and she could see what she had been prodding at.

Face to face with what she'd thought to be a wall she soon realized it was a foot, covered in a stone plate with tufts of brownish fur poking out from between it. Moving her gaze up the limb she took a step back, eyes widening seeing a leg, then another. The legs led to a torso, and that to arms and finally a head, with bright yellow eyes, staring directly down at her. Blinking owlishly for a second she finally managed to get her wits, making an indescribable sound of surprise before rushing back towards Viral. Turning herself around she looked at the creature again, astonished at how massive it was. She had been touching that?

The creature wasn't quite sure as to what was going on here. It had been sleeping per usual when something had begun tugging at its foot, rousing it from its slumber. Now that it was awake he was greeted with the sight of two... Well he wasn't sure what they were, but two little peoples staring up at him. Were they his sacrifices? Or maybe a snack? Letting out a bellowing yawn the creature slowly rose up off of his makeshift throne, his head almost reaching the ceiling as he stood at full height. Rubbing at his head he then looked down at the pair again, cocking his head to the side. "And who are you two...? My dinner?"

Takeshi may well have to admit he was a little over his head. First he hadn't been able to finish off one of the monsters despite shoving his sword right into its chest. What should have been a surefire kill only resulted in ticking off the creature, and his partner too. Trying to capitalize on his weapon then he'd gone after the second, only to have the blade lodge into the beast and remain there as he was swatted away. Now here he was, hovering in the air like a dolt with no weapon, and ergo no means of hurting these things. "I didn't mean to let it go! The thing was just stuck!" he whined, gesturing down to his weapon fitfully. Now he had to pull it out, right from the creature's shoulder where he was well in position to be munched on. Oh this really wasn't going to be fun. Takeshi again couldn't understand the degree of respect and value placed in his blade, watching as T'charrl went right after the weapon. Rolling his eyes in exasperation the Saiyan took after him, not wanting to let his friend go it alone.

The creature had turned its head to try and yank the blade free with its teeth, finding having a sword stuck in itself quite annoying. Try as it might its neck simply wasn't long enough, the blade wasn't going anywhere. Diverting his attention then as the dusty one came flying towards it the monster growled lowly, reeling on its hind legs before taking a swipe with its claws. Managing to miss both hits it let out a sharp yelp as the blade was yanked free, causing a deep gash on its shoulder that made it topple over, temporarily though. Fair soon it was back on its feet, only to get knocked down again as the Saiyan rammed into its head, hitting it square with his feet. Dazed it laid down for a moment as its partner went on the attack, growling angrily when their prey took to the air and well out of their reach.

"Ow... Ow... It's like kicking a steel wall..." Takeshi mumbled as he rose up, reaching down and giving his legs a rubbing. These things were solid as heck, that was for sure. At least they had gotten the sword back, that meant they could actually do some damage now. Small problem however, he couldn't well make use of the weapon properly. It was a sorry thing to admit, but he was useless with the sword. "T'charrl...? How about you use that thing from now on?" he called, smiling sheepishly as he scratched at his cheek. "I'm not very good with it... So uh... You attack and I'll help, sound good?"

Viral shook his head, looking away a little. She didn’t know what she was talking about half the time and she had definitely managed to try and tell him what he was supposed to in her own little subtle way with that banter. She had tried to tell him that she should fight instead of playing the assistant, that would mean altering his entire way of fighting to the most passive of ways to prevent the worst from happening. Just because his creators had explained to him why certain things happen to him didn’t mean he was safe from them ever happening again, he still had that primal trigger in his genes broken and remained a concern. Taking his eyes off Yumi, he sighed as he looked around briefly, “You would had known if you could see in the dark”, he grumbled, figuring Yumi would had known better, “It’s not something you use, it’s something you have without control”.

There definitely weren’t any torches from what he could see, he didn’t know what she was doing if that was the case. He didn’t want to disturb her as she moved around, but he did slowly move behind her quietly as if trying to purposely make her feel uneasy; she did it first to him, it was only fair that he’d do the same to her. While he did creep behind her, he did look around to try and get to grips with his surrounding, but he really didn’t know what he was looking at when it came down to it. He would have to touch the strange fibres to understand whether it was a plant or not, but with Yumi reaching out and touching it he could only stand back when there was a sudden noise and torches lighting up, startling him pretty bad.

Rubbing his face as he tried to focus his vision again, he squinted a little as he tried to see what was going on, his eyes eventually looking up to the mass that was actually alive, his concern raising at the sheer size of it. Already before it even spoke it was obvious that this one was a lot more intelligent than the creatures, but either way it was going to have to go down somehow. He could see why the natives saw it as a god, but to him it was just an oversized monster, “No, we’re here to put you down!” he shouted up to it, turning to look at Yumi, “And still think you could help?”

T’charrl couldn’t risk the sword getting damaged if it was one of the only things able to pierce the hide of the creature. They needed that weapon and his claws weren’t enough to damage it, leaving them relying on the weapon to kill them. He did hope Takeshi would take better care of the sword when he gave him it, especially when it was usually a great honour to be granted the weapon of a great enemy. Flying straight for it, he was slightly surprised when the creature swiped out at him but with his lengthy arms he managed to make a grab for the blade and force it free. Making a brief fly away as Takeshi came up, he turned around and let out a sigh, staring at the weapon for a moment before looking to Takeshi as he spoke, giving his head a shake in response, “No! I-I mean…I shouldn’t, you should! It’s yours”, he spoke quickly, holding the sword out, “Please, I might end up damaging it…you have no idea what I’ve done to myself…”

Yumi couldn't believe the sheer size of what they were going up against. It didn't quite look like a person, though it was definitely humanoid in shape. Having two trunk-like legs that had stone plating along the front there were again tufts of green fur sticking out where the cover wasn't, and similar armor plated the creature's feet and waist. Its torso had what looked almost like a medieval styled chest-plate on, though there were intermittent gaps on each side, symmetrical to one another. The beast's hands looked like just two massive globs on the ends of its arms, and when it uncurled its fingers there was a definite grinding sound of rock rubbing against rock, making Yumi cringe uncomfortably. What had her attention most of all was its head though, and those searing yellow eyes that stared down at them. The eyes sat in sunken sockets, and the being's head was fair squarely shaped, having what looked like a crown of stone on its head and small plates on either side of its head as well as one wrapping around its jaw. The armor was curious enough, and the proportions of it all, having a rather large wide torso and shoulders as well as arms told her it was going to be pretty strong. Not an easy fight no doubt, and to make matters worse Viral went right ahead and decided to yell at the thing. Shooting him a look when she was questioned Yumi put a hand on her hip, pointing towards the creature indignantly. "Yes I can still help! You think you're so well suited for fighting a giant rock... Thing?"

The creature wasn't quite sure what to make of this display, though it was a little amusing. These two seemed to be companions of sorts, judging by how they spoke to one another. Fair close too, they seemed, which made it even more curious. The female was awfully fiery, or timid, he couldn't quite tell with her being all over the place, and the male just really sort of seemed like he didn't want to be here. Letting out another loud yawn the creature lifted one of its massive hands, rubbing at its head and squatting down, training its gaze directly on the pair. "Put me down...? Two tiny beings like you...?" he asked, blinking confused. What a silly idea. "Do you not know who I am little one? I cannot be 'put down' as you say. Now... I'm expecting a snack. If you're not it then leave, I've no use of you. Give me reason to further acknowledge you or..." he paused, yawning into his hand, "Or I'm going back to my nap..."

T'charrl at least had training with the sword, he knew what to do with the thing. Having a crazy warrior queen as a mother and a general as a father meant he'd been given tons of practice that would make him a superb swordsman by comparison. Yet the Kaesstrian wanted nothing to do with it, he was still adamant about handing it back. Not exactly keen on accepting the weapon Takeshi ultimately did so, albeit begrudgingly, grabbing the hilt and looking at the blade with a sigh. These things didn't bleed at all, the blade was as clean as it was when he'd gotten it. Undamaged too now that he examined the blade, which meant the metal was pretty tough, having pierced the monster's hides unscathed. "It's mine... But I've got no idea how to use it..." Takeshi admitted, letting out a soft sigh. "Viral was right... I've got absolutely no idea what I'm doing." Now wasn't exactly the time to be trying to learn either, it was definitely an inconvenient time too. Their brief reprieve from the action wasn't going to last much longer, he noticed, looking back at the creatures. With the two of them out of the way the monsters had started to run towards the den, perhaps hoping to slip by.

"No you don't!" Takeshi dashed down after the pair of creatures, speeding along as quick as he could to gain on them. Being a fair deal faster he caught up pretty quickly only to realize per usual he had no real course of action. Cussing under his breath he put together a hasty plan, and perhaps in a flash of foolishness he landed on the back of one of the creatures. Adjusting the sword in his right hand he drove the blade straight down, driving it into the shoulder of the beast. A loud howl was emitted then, making him recoil as his ears were assaulted, though he held firm on his weapon. Yanking it free he drove it down yet again, landing just between the shoulders and inciting another pained cry. Doing his best he ripped it out one last time, this time imbedding it into the neck of the monster. This last blow proved to be particularly effective, and with a few more staggered steps the creature slowed and finally fell onto its front, splayed out and panting tiredly. Takeshi removed his blade from it, lifting it once again to bring it back down. Before he could connect the second creature darted at him, and he narrowly avoided being knocked off as he leaned down, pressing flush against the one below him as the other sailed past. Seeing as how he was the center of attention again the Saiyan jumped off, moving back away from the den to try and make the creatures follow.

This was just great, the beast was huge and a lazy one at that. Viral knew exactly what he needed to do the moment he saw that thing rise up, but at the same time he was somewhat worried over what Yumi would think if he had to pull it off. There was no use in scaling this creature, he couldn’t even fly to get to its face and it would take a while for his blade to pierce that thick hide too. He wasn’t afraid of this beast, there was nothing to be afraid of as far as he was concerned. Growling lowly, he looked to Yumi when she spoke up, staring at her for a moment, “I am…and I know it! But only if you stay back and out of my way”, he spoke, sounding more like he was giving her an earnest warning rather than telling her to back off because he didn’t want her company.

He wasn’t afraid of this thing, not by a longshot. Being afraid of death was often a rarity at this point with his biggest worry being where he might surely go after death, if anywhere at all. The thought that he had no spirit was what scared him the most, there was no way to prove that artificial beings gained one either. Feeling truly like he couldn’t be bothered with anything, he stared up at the giant as it spoke of its disappointment at their challenge, proving its laziness by barely caring. Growling lowly, he gave one look around him before he jumped a good ways backward, giving himself plenty of distance, “You believe yourself to be a god?? Pitiful! Taking advantage of a young race…today shall be your last on this planet!”

Viral was slightly nervous about this, he didn’t know what Yumi might think seeing him accomplish such an unusual ability, she might even get worried that she might be able to do it and not even know it. Giving her a quick look, he slowly turned to look down at himself before he clenched his fist over his heart. After a brief moment, a glow gradually began to build up on his fist, a visible sign of strain building up as it got more intense only for Viral to raise his hand up and release the energy. The energy formed all around him and up, growing large in size before Viral jumped up into the growing mass and never came back down. With a bright flash the figure took form, the weight of the energy suddenly becoming evident on the ground as it shifted in a mass of dust.

With the energy clearing and the dust rising, instead of Viral stood the massive metal monstrosity that was the Enki, its enormous eyes glowing in the poor light. While there was no daylight in the place, Viral was having to rely on his own energy to keep the mecha functioning. Shifting its hand, the Enki moved into a swordsman’s stance with its hand remaining over one of the twin swords at the waist. With two blades at his disposal, Viral stared at the now not so massive but still large creature, only this time he was a threat.

T’charrl really hoped Takeshi would try and understand what kind of predicament he was in with this being unable to use weapons right now, he thought he would had guessed it enough seeing as how he was without his own weapons. He had left them at home for a reason and with his body rebelling against him it was way too risky to have any sort of weapon near him. He could end up breaking it for good and that would be that, he might even end up turning the blade on himself to put a stop to his pain for good. Staring at Takeshi with hope that he’d understand, he let out a sigh of relief when Takeshi finally took the blade, making a brief flutter backwards with his hands to his chest, “You’ll learn, everyone has to learn somehow”, he spoke, giving a little nod, “The first step to learning is respecting your weapon. You’ve just got to have faith in it”. Feeling a slight sense of relief, he gasped a little when he heard the creatures trying to run off towards the home of the natives, feeling a sudden sense of panic run through him.

Flying on after Takeshi, he watched the creatures down below as Takeshi went in again, making a quick few stabs down upon the creature once more. That was a little better, he should try and do that a lot more often. Watching as he made one last stab, the other creature suddenly came down at him in a brief revenge attack. Spinning himself around, he immediately dived down at the creature that had been struck down, his claws immediately trying to go for the wounds as if to pry it open and create an even worse wound while the other creature was focused on Takeshi. He didn’t have much in the way of weapons himself, just his claws until he could concentrate more energy into himself by landing properly and pulling it out of the planet to use.

Yumi was adamant about helping Viral still, regardless of the sheer scale of their foe. Yet the words he had given her, they didn't have the same bite to them as the ones before. He was still in a way telling her to leave this to him, but in a manner that expressed concern even. Really his tone hadn't been much different, but for someone who knew him as well as she did it had been enough. While she wouldn't utterly leave the place still she would give him the space he wanted to battle, for the time being at least. Nodding her head Yumi moved herself over to one of the innermost pillars, leaning against it and trying to relax herself. Just the size difference between the creature and Viral had her all worked up, and they hadn't even seen what it could do just yet. Yumi swallowed back a bit of her nerves, her gaze locked on her friend while he moved back a ways from their opponent. Curiosity spread across her features watching him take on a strange stance, and her eyes widened a bit seeing the glowing energy he gathered. When he disappeared into said energy, and what resulted from it all had her jaw near on the floor in shock. Viral, if this was indeed still the Beastman she knew, was now a giant mech, wielding two blades and sporting a pretty angry face to boot. Since when in the world had he been able to do that?

"Advantage...? I guide them and ask for payment in turn for my services... I see no one taking advantage here," the creature pointed out, speaking in an almost bored monotone. "I must warn you little one, it is not wise to threaten me. I'll not say it again, leave this place now." Quite the boisterous critter this man was turning out to be. What was he supposed to be anyways, the champion of the people? It was amusing in a way how blissfully unaware of the situation he seemed to be, and how determined he was to tackle this battle on his own. Like Yumi he was curious when the Beastman released the energy, watching with an unwavering gaze as the Enki was formed before his very eyes. Now that was an interesting little trick, it earnestly had the 'god' intrigued in his opponent now. Cocking his head to the side a bit when a stance was assumed by Viral the creature sincerely wasn't sure what to make of it. Yes he had gotten bigger, but the creature still wasn't exactly imposing. Letting out a soft sigh he began to reach out with one hand, trying to grab up Viral and simply squash him. "Nevertheless, you're going to die all the same," the creature remarked, "now though however die in a tin coffin."

Were he not trying to not be eaten right now Takeshi may actually have had a moment to enjoy his brief victory. Getting some clearly good strikes with the sword did some good to bolster his confidence with a blade, and maybe he could actually do something with it. Just as he was getting a rhythm going the second monster intervened, and it was all he could do to lie against the injured one to avoid being tackled. With one out of the way for the moment he could focus on the other, at least making it a one on one. Sending a quick look to the nearby den he opted to run off again, this time heading towards the grass. Diving right into the brush he sent a look over his shoulder, bittersweet that his plan was working. Takeshi figured he could try to confuse it in here, perhaps even make it get lost. If he could get the element of surprise then he should be able to slay the creature... Provided his work with the sword hadn't been just a fluke. Hearing the beast's ragged and ferocious breathing behind him he picked up the pace, throwing in a little zig-zag in his step as he tried to throw his chaser off his path.

Back by the den the injured creature was having a difficult time of things. While its kind didn't bleed it could still be injured, and the sword had certainly done the job. Mist was slipping out of its deep wounds now, and it had trouble getting up. That problem was further complicated when a large weight slammed onto its back, knocking it back into the dirt. Now the dusty one was on top of it, and with a near lame arm it could get up properly. Feeling the claws dig into its hide the monster roared angrily, trying to shake its attacker off as best it could to no avail. The gashes were made bigger, and with it more mist escaped from the wounds. The area around the injuries remained intact, but if T'charrl was to look down he'd notice that the hind legs of the beast were beginning to vanish. A curious thing about the monsters and how they worked. If a portion of them was lopped off it vanished, much like on the ship. Now, with a vital area in risk, it could sacrifice other parts of it to protect said areas, in this case a leg. However as the Kaesstrian continued to work it over the monster had to forgo more and more of itself, beginning to whittle away steadily. If this was kept up then pretty soon there would be no more beast.

Viral wasn’t nervous, he had no reason to be and was definitely able to stand up for himself now, even when there was still a size difference. He was not completely sure whether he could keep up with the beast while in this massive temple, he really needed some light instead of running on his own internal battery, but he would definitely last long enough to kill this thing. There was no reason for this creature to live, it was just spouting complete nonsense, “Payment? You call eating their children ‘payment’?” he spoke, placing his hand on the sword, “These people don’t need guidance with the worry of losing family! These creatures can learn to go their own way, they don’t need your bloated gut to get through life!”

Viral was focusing very little on Yumi, he didn’t want to frighten her or end up distracting himself from this monster. Every part of the mech moved naturally all except for the facial expression and mouth, its eyes burning fiercely all the time. The mech was designed to be a force of destruction and that was it, there wasn’t any good in creating such an alien machine. Glaring at the beast, its eyes shifting when the creature moved to try and grab him before he suddenly pulled one of the blades, slashing upwards at the hand, “Funny how you’re interested in eating children and not me!” With a sudden leap he was up in the air as if without the burden of being heavier, his arms throwing around and out fired a flurry of throwing knives, each much larger than a human by far.

T’charrl was doing all he could to deal damage to this creature, his claws doing all they could to tear into the monster. There was little he could do right now that wouldn’t simply be repeating what he did before, so the only other method was to get rid of them in any way he could. There was no way he could screw this up as he collided with the beast, any wrong move would have him dead or at the very least badly injured. Throwing in all he could while trying to tear the beast apart, he hardly took in any notice of the creature gradually disappearing and appeared to be slowly losing himself in the moment. Letting out a screeching hiss himself, he ended up putting more and more force into its destruction before he took a step back, his form hunched forward and his teeth bared. He looked more feral than the creatures at this point, his fur bristling and his claws shaking in anticipation. If there was more to tear up then he would, his fierce eyes searching for the other creature.
