Moderator Weapon and Description:
Cecilia uses a large shield that frankly she has a tough time carrying around, usually swinging it up in a ready position with both hands. It is tight and rounded towards her, pointed at the bottom and at the top. The tip on the top side flares outward with a jagged edge for the left and a smooth wave on the right. It is painted on with violent fires on the rough side and calming seas on the smoother side. The front is adorned with small, dull data spikes to punish any virus smacking into her defenses. It is large enough to sufficiently protect her as well as anyone behind her, though her strength in wielding it does not allow for very long fought battles. The design is ultimately counter intuitive to the user, but Cecilia insists that she must help out the team in this very drastic fashion.
Moderator’s Appearance:
What everyone notices first about Cecilia is the hair. It seems to almost burn the sky, being such a bright neon green. It's cut short and holds thick and straight, causing it to flare outwards like a raging fire. Much of the time speckles of paint would accompany the already obnoxious emerald, all bright colours, naturally. It must be kept short at all times or else it becomes truly unreasonable.
Underneath the static explosion of green lies a slim and innocent face. Ghostly white skin shines brightly in the light, shaded only by a torrent of brown specks of freckles. Sky blue circles her seemingly deep pupils inside a large sea of white. Her face is framed by a sharp jaw and high cheekbones, and holding the middle is a small, pointed nose above small, naturally red lips.
Cecilia stands tall, taller than most. Even though she seems quite petite she usually finds herself looking down upon others just from her height. Because of how stretched she is, she always seems very slim, something that covers her athleticism. She is not very strong, something she had trouble with for Moderator testing, but she moves quickly.
Moderator’s Bio:
For all of her life, Cecilia had only her family. As a child she was schooled at home, being too afraid of people to enter the public schooling system, so she had only her parents and her sister. At the time she excelled at her academics but was always angry about never having friends. Though she was still crippled by her fear of strangers. Most of her time was spent at home building sculptures with data blocks until her teens.
When she turned 13, her mother pushed her to take music lessons. She didn't like the idea, thinking it would be like childhood piano lessons with her parents. However her teacher was incredibly inspirational and, in many ways, he was much like Cecilia, yet wisened by his years. She started with an organic acoustic guitar, a simple instrument that ignited her love of art for the rest of her life.
Music was great for Cecilia, it allowed her to meet new people in a setting that allowed her to easily interact with them without any inhibition. She started to learn how to socialize whilst perfecting and expanding upon her craft. She even got into painting and data sculpting. However these four years would be the calm before the toughest part of her life.
Cecilia's father went to jail when she was seventeen. This wasn't the first time, he had been jailed for minor crimes before, mostly involving gambling or intoxication. This time however it was out of the country, up in northern Sweden where he claimed he was on a business trip. Once he was arrested, his wife was informed that there was no business involved there. It was from this that it came to light that he was cheating on Cecilia's mother, and neither of them took it well. Cecilia had already had a tough relationship with him for years with the issues deriving from his drinking problem, but her beloved mother took it so much worse. She had been lied to and her heart had been shattered, her stress piled on with trying to support a family alone. Cecilia took her first job and tried to help out all she could. For years after, Cecilia had to comfort her mother from her loneliness. At this point her father had filed for divorce, nailing the final stake through her mother's heart. Cecilia could never forgive him for it.
During her years in college, she became bitter and distracted. She distanced herself from her friends and couldn't focus on her schooling anymore. She could only get barely passable grades, having buried herself in her room doing God knows what. Trying to forget her troubles she would try anything that remotely resembled art, even some strange forms of interpretive or abstract art that didn't make much sense to even herself. Doing so was not the wonderful cultural boon she expected. She was unfocused and didn't learn from these experiences. The last things she could think of to help her forget were signing up for a Moderator position or drugs. I wish I could say she didn't try both but she did and still is.
After two years in college Cecilia bailed out, taking her Associate's Degree to the Academy. Out there the only thing she could do above average was running and at first there was plenty of that. Sadly she did quite badly in the academic side of things, despite her intelligence, her bitterness still eating away at her core. Just when she was going to flunk out she made a friend. His name was Richard, from Scotland, and from there things started to pick up. Cecilia didn't know what happened but she started to feel better, even if it was slow healing. At first she didn't question it, didn't even notice it, but four years give you some time to think.
Richard used to help smuggle in Data Smokes for Cecilia. "A friend of a friend," he said. He was so nice to her, even when steeped in mud from training or straying off into a world of colours from the Smokes. After the third year, Cecilia had decided she had fallen in love with him. It was nice between them to start out with, common interests and all that, but eventually it started to sour. As it turned out, they were much healthier as friends than lovers. Six months into the relationship, Cecilia's first real, serious boyfriend dumps her. Not lightly either, he was always a bit too passionate. Since her grades had perked up in the previous years, the heartbreak didn't make her flunk out. The teachers knew she had shown enough promise to give her a pass. Not a long one but it was indeed a pass. The rest of the six months weren't too pretty, memories of her father flooding her mind, making it all too difficult to move on. Though when the Finals came along she didn't fail, she wanted to show Richard and her father that they couldn't let her fail. She passed, but she passed by the skin of her teeth.
(Sry for the lack of # and colour. I think I'll take whichever is left, considering there are none left. Also sorry for the long delay, a lot of stuff interrupted me :/)
