Fairies definitely aren't bad, yeah. So far, I haven't had too much trouble with them or... well, really used them, but I do know a lot of them pack a punch.

And ooh, more competitive battlers! Weshouldbattlesometime.

Our roleplay is made up of a horde of crazy geniuses. I have somewhere to go to in two hours or so and it might take a while, so I'll see what I can do when I'm back.

Fairies are actually pretty good. I've used a few on my team. Mega Mawile with its huge power, swords dance, and sucker punch is SCARY. Togekiss with serene grace, thunder wave, and air slash prevents the opponent from attacking 68% of the time, and Azumarill with huge power, belly drum, and aqua jet can clean house too. Klefki is a great prankster user with its thunder wave and screens and whatnot. Never used Gardevoire, so I really don't know just how good it is.

Then Xerneas turned up and became the Kyogre of a new age. ._.

Clefable is good this generation. Whimsicott was already good, now it has an immunity to make it better.

Xerneas is definitely no new Kyogre, no way. It doesn't get crazy special attack + an automatic 1.5 boost to an already powerful STAB Surf/Hydro PumpWater Spout and 100% accuracy for Thunder. Plus Ice Beam, which deals with a ton of things in Ubers, considering all the Dragon types up there. Even with the nerf weather moves got, he still kicks ass.

I've never had trouble with Xerneas, even in random battles with my OU team. Yveltal's more troublesome with its signature move actually, since, yeah, hello recovery.

I've never had trouble with Xerneas mostly because the only people I've battled who use Xerneas don't know how to metagame, and I generally stay away from ubers in general.

Mewtwo Y on the other hand... They like need a new tier just for Mewtwo Y. Even without EV training or good IVs that thing is OP as shit.

I haven't had much trouble with either Mewtwo, mostly because especially Y is physically frail as crap. My Staraptor oneshots that thing to oblivion in most cases.

I do agree that it's ridiculously powerful if it gets to start sweeping against an opponent with no priority though. It's pretty much gg at that point, unless you have a Sash/Sturdy or something else to keep you alive.

I haven't tried Ubers this gen. Mainly because I most of my competitive battling has been done in-game, and I didn't know Xerneas always had three perfect IVs, that it could be SRed, or that it was allowed in Free Battles. I haven't put a team together on Pokemon Showdown for this Generation yet.

Now an Uber I really dislike, Blaziken. When I use it, the thing dies from recoil damage before it can do something to the opponents next Pokemon. When someone else uses it, they sweep my whole team. Am I doing something wrong here? :/

I'm that same way with Scizor. I think everyone has that one pokemon that gives them trouble that they can never use.

Xerneas isn't the only one - all Pokémon you can only catch once have three perfect IVs this gen, so Yveltal, Mewtwo and the legendary birds too.

I don't use Blaziken, but the ones I've seen all die very fast regardless of who uses them. I really don't get its placement in Ubers >> Talonflame laughs at that thing's face.

Scizor is pretty awesome though, yessh.

It's not just legendaries. All wild baby pokemon have three perfect IVs too.

I don't either. Between Flare Blitz, Life Orb, and Hi Jump Kick missing, that thing dies way too fast. >_>

Scizor is pretty good though. I've used the Choice Band version. Bullet Punch is surprisingly powerful.

Talonflame Brave Birds everything. xD

Baby Pokémon too? Huh, didn't know that, just knew about Friend Safari and the one-time-only encounters. Haven't trained any Baby Pokémon yet, so. Gotta say, that makes breeding a Lucario so much easier. Not that I plan to breed one anytime soon, but.

Technician = powerful Bullet Punch, pretty much.

Missing High Jump Kick? Even with the boost in accuracy it got this gen? Huh.

Staraptors Brave Bird does, too. It can just also Close Combat 8D

People switch to a Ghost type, or use Protect along with the 10% chance to miss. >>

Washing machine is the only thing more overused and annoying than Talonflame IMO. :|

Prioritising which roleplays to post in right now but with luck I'll get through everything today.

Ok, a simple post up, which I might proofread again later. My roleplaying gears were getting rusty there for a while, but it doesn't look too bad.

I've never had an issue with Rotom-W.

Don't worry, your post is fine. :)

The only fairy I like is Sylveon. Choice Spec'd Pixilated STAB Hyper Beam + able to withstand a hit from Brave Bird Talonflame = Look out boys, Sheriff Deathray's in town.

And seriously, fuck the washing machine. Even DJ Black doesn't like Washtom, and Rotom's her all-time favorite

I find Sylveon unsettling. Blank eyes, underweight, tentacled, and it evolves by being pampered and treated like a kit by humans, given human-like food and human contact for human amusement. If I wanted an Eeveelution that evolved thanks to a strong emotional bond I'd get myself an Umbreon or Espeon and not this anorexic pixie, thank you very much Game Freak. :|
