Alright, I am going to answer you instead of the GM but take it with a grain of salt seeing as it is his decision. A description is sometimes better than a picture. A picture can't tell half as much as a description can. In most of the roleplays I have been in, the Gm would prefer a description over a picture any day. Descriptions do three things. 1. They add detail and depth to character more than a picture does. 2. They show your writing abilities especially your descriptive writing abilities. 3. They provide the Gm and everybody also more to go on then just a picture will.

Charlotte M. Spirit: I want to get along with her, because she's in my house and all, but I can't really handle people who actively dislike muggles. I just don't get it. Maybe if she told me why we could hash it out?

Rylan Amalia Keenan: Kind of a trouble maker. I don't usually run with the same kind of crowd, but I don't think anyone in the school hasn't at least talked to her. You can't convince her she's wrong, and she won't hold anything back.

Salem Truitt Don't really know him. Looks like a good guy. Can apparently talk to Ouroboros? Not actually sure how I feel about that. Jealous, I guess.

Nolan Parver: She's pretty close to spirits. I know she looks odd to others, but sometimes I wonder if she sees things the way I do.

Jayln Vance: Don't know him so well, 'Cause he's not in my house. Seems alright, and I can talk to him about muggle sports.

Lamillia May Johnson: I can't really talk to her. Everything is about the visual and physical world. Don't get me wrong, I have my vices there too, but she has no interest in anything deeper.

Cliodhna Burns: I try not to use my cell phone around her, I guess she's a bit of a wizard purist. That's her business, as long as she's not crapping on the muggle borns I can deal. I can't shake the feeling she's hiding something. Don't know if I should pursue it. Could be nothing, could be premonition.

Benjamin Teague: More than once we've turned around to break up the same fight.

Morrigan Cassandra Brighthill: Ha, the Deathwish Queen? Appropriate name. Cool girl, someone I can fly with. She's a bit of a snob about brooms, but I don't blame her after flying that Starfall. She likes to push things, and has gotten me into trouble more than once. But the fun kind of trouble that's hard to resist.

Kwes Powers: Talks a lot, but I don't mind. He's the sort who'll make a real effort to cut to the core of things. I definitely applaud him for that.

Emmeline Lovelock: She's always moving, and I'm not. Usually only meet when she passes by wherever I'm sitting. Very entrenched in the muggle world, even for a muggleborn.

Toby Kipling: Crazy optimist, always laughing. Good energy.

Balthazar Casper Barnes: Kind of an "Uncle" type of teacher. Even likes to be called by his middle name. Made me uncomfortable my first year here, but whatever. Reliable.

Melissa Wallace: Professor Wallace's aura makes my eyes hurt. Figuratively speaking. You can practically feel her walk into a room.

Jaylen Beckley: A little biased towards purebloods. I don't like it, but what can I do?

Rylan Amalia Keenan: ◑ The rather famous year twelve student? That, Rylan? Yes I’ve heard of her both good and bad. We are in different grades, from different houses, and hang out in different circles so I’m not sure what to tell you other than what goes around. She’s fun in parties though I’m sure.

Salem Truitt ◑/☺That famous twelve year student who comes from a different house who hangs out with different circles who is also very easy on the eyes? I don’t have any problem with him, but chances are we’ll never be friends. It’s not because I wouldn’t like him, but mostly because we’ll never have the chance to meet.

Nolan Parver: ☺ I like Nova, she’s sweet and very peaceful to be a round with. I’ve had the pleasure of being with her in Herbology or Charms since we started school here. I’ve had the most wonderful pleasure to hear her chant before and It’s one of my most peaceful and fondest memories. Outside of classes I don’t hang out with her much since I tend to be busy with classes. She’s a good friend.

Jayln Vance: ◑/♥ Jay? I know Jay. We hang out in different places with different groups of people so there’s never been much of a chance to get to know each other well, but chances are I’ll like him a lot. I’ve heard things about him and most are good, the people that do say some bad stuff about him aren’t really that bad. I like the fact that he’s red head, it looks good on him.

Charlotte M. Spirit: ☠/♥ I don't know if I hate her or want to tackle her to the ground. Every time she talks I want to just to tie her up and tape her mouth just because it's much crueler than using a spell. She rubs me off the wrong way so many times that I think she needs to just relearns how to be with people because how she is now will never make me like her. She's one of the greatest students this school will ever have and I hate her for wasting her potential for it. All the things I've said aside I don't think she deserves anything bad to happen to her. If bad things do happen to her I'm not sure if I'll ignore it and let her be or help her and kill myself afterwards.

Lamillia May Johnson: ◑ She’s very pretty, like really, really pretty, but other than I don’t know her since she’s from a different house and in a different year. I do know a few people that have very serious crushes on her, both guys and girls, and I don’t really see any reason why not.

Thomas Benjamin Grimm: ☺ I took potions with him two years ago and the Professor told me once in passing that he might need a bit of help so I did. The only reason he got a good grade in that class is because of me being partners with him. To this day I’ve yet to cash in that favor for helping him, and I really won’t \ but I like to tease him on it. I don’t hang out with him outside of the classes we’ve had, but a great guy. He’s in my top five people I can count on when I’m having an off day. I have had the pleasure to see him on his broom before and it is quite something.

Cliodhna Burns: ◑/☠ I can never tell what she’s thinking. I don’t have anything against her, and I don’t think she’s a bad person, but something about her worries me. I’ve heard mostly good things about her, but I just get these weird feelings when I’m around her. I don’t like to make assumptions about people that I don’t know much about so I’ll try to get to know her more.

Benjamin Teague: ☺/☠We’re in different years so I don’t know him as well as his closest friends are, but he’s a good guy. He’s smart, but his face doesn’t say so. As an upperclassman I’ve had the pleasure of being something like a guide and I have to say he picks things up really well. I’ve talked to I talked to him before and I’m quite certain that he knows more than he lets on, which personally I think is a bad thing, but I could be wrong.

Morrigan Cassandra Brighthill: ☺/☠She’s not your typical person I know that much. I know she stood by her friend who was obviously in the wrong, which troubles me. This can mean she’s fiercely loyal, which I can admire or that she’s blindly following someone without taking anything into question, and both qualities can be good and bad, but I don’t think it’s something I want in a person.

Kwes Powers:☺ He’s an odd man, and I like it. Luna’s don’t have the best reputation among the four houses so I know why some of the other Luna’s don’t think well of him, but they’re wrong and misguided. He is very lax for someone in Luna which I envy. He seems to have so much free time by Luna standards or by my standard, which is absurdly high so I wish I could hang out with him more.

Emmeline Lovelock: ◑/♥ That girl Emmy? Yeah that’s probably what other people say about her to. It is not a bad thing mind you. She’s an underclassman so I don’t know her well, but I know she’s a Terra and that’s a pretty good description of her on the outside, but most definitely not on the outside,. She’s like a brick flying to your face at a hundred miles per hour, and I think that’s a good thing.

Reuben Grayson: ☺ I admire him very much, not just as a headmaster, but as a fellow Luna and person. I’ve had the pleasure of being in his office a number of times, mostly good and I have to say the man has great style, not just in how he decorates his office, but also of how he carries himself. I envy that kind of confidence. I’ve met Sahara though and while I like him, or her, Rufus does not.

Balthazar Casper Barnes: ◑/☺He’s a great teacher and easily one of my favorites. If I have to say something about Professor it’s that he’s very beautiful, and not in how he looks, but in how he exists as a person, but he is very handsome though. It’s like life comes to him so effortlessly elegant as if he wears life’s breath like perfume that he bought at a cheap market. He demonstrated his patronus form once in class, and it was like he shooting out angels.

Melissa Wallace:☺ I love her class. It has the right kind of weird and the right kind of genius to it, which is probably why she’s not a favorite teacher. I’ve heard what she does outside of school and it’s not good though, but that’s about it. Not a lot of people know about her outside of the school or what she does at night, which in a lot of ways I understand and sympathize with,

Jaylen Beckley: ◑/☠ He’s a brilliant man and an overall nice guy. He’s great at what he does and pushes for other people to be great like him. Overall I like the Proffesor, but I hate his class. I like the class environment and his teaching methods, but I just hate transfiguration. I pass the class okay, but I just don’t get it. Most of the time ii'm like “Okay it works, but how and why?”.

Madison James Cordell: ☺/◑ This man right here is one my favorite professor’s, next to potions of course. He’s a total hippie and I just love it, but I don’t share that sentiment with others, mostly Luna’s. The man knows his stuff, but he’s a bad at teaching it in a school setting, but not because he’s horrible or anything. Almost everyone gets good grades in his class, which means that people either love him or hate him, I’m in the latter, but not so much unlike other people.

The first symbol is how he Toby feels about them most of the time, and the second is how he really feels about them when he puts his life on the line to describe that person. Mind you the second is a feeling that Toby doesn't know about.

Rumiko, you put Toby as having been classmates in a class their previous year and I'm not sure if students are allowed to be in the same class if they're in different years. I assume it's possible for people taking electives. I Pmed HOAL about it, so we'll have to wait and see if it's possible.

I'm not really satisfied with this, since most of the cast is Muggle-Born, and as such their descriptions vary quite little. However, I should point out that Charlotte is hardly the predictable type, and that things can change quite quickly with her if she finds herself somehow motivated.

Personally I prefer descriptions with pictures. Both are good and having one with the other works really well in most cases. As to what I think of using pictures of people I'm okay with it. The way I see it, if they're posting a pic online in a public website with lots of traffic then I think it's okay, especially if it's professionally done. Of course if it's a private/family/personal picture then that's not cool. It's why I often use celebrities since they have lots of public access pictures and head shots.

I have kind if a solution to the whole picture thing. Why not use a realistic looking video game model? Like something from Silent Hill? I've used them once or twice and if you find a really good one it might fit well with the game. Realistic paintings or drawings could work too.

Relations are done. Also, Nova rarely sees someone as an enemy, but if someone were to do something to make her uncomfortable or angry she definitely won't just let it slide.

Nova is very amused by this girl's obnoxious and fiery personality, finding that they share similar characteristics like their bluntness or aloofness, and the fact that they are both Half Bloods interests Nova as well. Definitely wishes to grow closer to this girl as a friend.

◑/♥ Salem Truitt His hair is fantastic. Honestly, that's the only thought that can pass through her head when this boy passes by, since Nova doesn't exactly know much about him. Their differing Houses might be the cause of this. Nonetheless, she is very much interested in getting to know Salem, despite finding his accent to be very strange.

◑/☺Jayln Vance: Cool hair color! Nova has seen Jay around and can only think of him as being a bit nervous. His jokes are funny though, and his familiar is pretty freaking adorable. She wishes to get closer to the man, as she wants to figure him out fully, but doesn't know how to approach him without making him nervous.

◑/☺ Lamillia May Johnson: How can one girl be so pretty?! Nova kind of has this tiny friend-crush on Lamillia, mostly because she has a cute face, but she doesn't really know how to act upon it, so she'll probably end up ignoring it in the end. Wishes to get closer to Lamillia.

◑Charlotte M. Spirit: A smarty-pants who likes the outside? Nothing to worry about there! Nova doesn't have any reason to hate this girl, besides the fact that she is rather cruel towards Muggles and their Wizard children. She doesn't really know how to act around her.

◑Thomas Benjamin Grimm: He's so friendly! Nova get's a strange feeling around Thomas, but isn't exactly sure what it means. Finds his relaxed and carefree personality to be very calming, and his little snake is really adorable. Nova wishes to get to know Thomas, and sometimes tries to figure out why he has this weird feeling about him.

◑Cliodhna Burns: Another smarty-pants, huh? Nova finds Clio's interest in animals to be kind of adorable, but that's about it. She doesn't exactly know what to think about the red-head, and has trouble being around her without being a bit nervous. Also, Nova had heard tell that the girl called her an airhead! How rude!

◑Benjamin Teague: Chill out, man! Nova is rather curious about why Benjamin is so damn cautious all the time, and yet she finds his stubbornness to find the truth to be rather endearing.

◑Morrigan Cassandra Brighthill: Not everything is a competition, Hun. Nova thinks of Cass to be kind of risky but doesn't do much to speak about her troubles for the girl. Doesn't really know much else about her, besides the fact that she is fabulous singer. Nova loves all types of music, so that is an obvious plus for Cass in her book.

◑Kwes Powers: That's the guy who heard me chant! Nova is kind of curious about Kwes, mostly because he's obviously heard her chant somewhere without her permission and she is very much embarrassed of having other people hear her. Despite that, she finds his humor to be kind of bland, but his mellowness is appreciated. He might make for a good napping buddy in the future.

◑/♥Emmeline Lovelock: Slow down! Other then finding Emmy to be really fast-paced, Nova finds the girl to be really cute. Like, really cute. Like, oh my God how can one girl be so freaking cute. However, just watching over the girl makes Nova feel extremely tired, even when she's not the one moving. Wishes to get to know her better and maybe become friends (or much more...)

☺Toby Kipling: Who doesn't like Toby? He's sweet, childish, and optimistic. The perfect friend for someone like Nova. Like with all her friends, she is very protective over Toby, despite only seeing him in the halls and class. Nonetheless, she worries for his well being and will do anything to help him. Another one of the few people who have heard her chant, except he was allowed, unlike a certain someone else. She wishes to hang out with him more after classes but doesn't want to bother his work.

◑/☺Reuben Grayson: The man who brought her to this fantastic school. His warm personality reminds Nova of her father which is greatly appreciated, and she can't think of a better person to be Headmaster.

◑/☺Balthazar Casper Barnes: Nova doesn't normally enjoy classes, but Casper make Defense Against the Dark Arts actually interesting at times. Definitely enjoys his lighthearted personality.

◑/☠Melissa Wallace: Nova has no idea how to act around this strange teacher. Her dishonest ways are definitely off-putting, and her class is sadly a bit too dull for Nova's tastes.

☺Madison James Cordell: The energetic Herbology teacher, what's not to like? Nova is very much in love with Madison, but not in like the love way normal people would think about. No, she likes what he teaches and his kind and happy personality and his ability to be so open about his opinions. Nova likes to think of him as a big brother of sorts, someone to rely on, and honestly that's about it.

I’m saying that these pureblood elitists need to realise that they’re not the master race, and that they’re the same as everybody else. Obviously, the stigma still exists, and yeah, everyone knows about wizards now, but it’s gonna take more than a couple of years for people to accept it. Things change eventually, though, they always change.”

Rylan Amalia Keenan: ☺ “If I was a teenage girl, I’d be Rylan. ...Okay, that sounded creepy as all fuck so, ignore it. But when she talks, she cuts straight through the bullshit, and that’s a quality you don’t see very often these days. Also, she curses a lot. But, I usually let it slide, since it’d be kinda ironic if I was the one who called her out on it, don’t you think?”

Salem Truitt ◑ “He’s a good kid, good kid. A little too serious sometimes, but he helps the less motivated students to get their together, so I’m not complaining. Wait, did I mention his accent? Because, oh my god, his accent. I hope this doesn’t sound weird, but that Cajun twang is like music to my ears.”

Nolan Parver: ☺ “An awesome student, though I’m not too sure about her talking to the plants. Mandrakes aren’t exactly reasonable, after all. Nolan’s pretty chill, albeit a bit naive. Wait, scratch that. Really naive. Most of the time, she takes people’s words at face value and someone might take advantage of that. Of course, I’m just her Herbology teacher, but I still kinda feel obliged to look out for her, you know?”

Jayln Vance: ◑ “Kind of a lone wolf. I’ve seen how nervous he gets around people, like, how he starts spewing out awful puns and shit? And his anger management issues? I don’t know much about his background, but all I know is that he must’ve gone through a lot.”

Lamillia May Johnson: ◑ “I’m generally pretty lax with my students, but I actually sorta wish she’d work a little bit harder. Like, actually remembering the safety procedures for a Venomous Tentacula instead of immediately grabbing it would be a nice change. Coming from a non-magical family, you’d think she’d actually have more interest in lessons. I mean, it’s not like learning magic in magic school is a million times more exciting than algebra.”

Thomas Benjamin Grimm: ◑/☺ “I like him. A breath of fresh air in this place, to be honest. Takes things with a pinch of salt and doesn’t spend every second of every day stressing over trivial things. That being said, though, he also pays attention in class which is only an added bonus.”

Cliodhna Burns: ◑ “Smart girl, and actually interested in the curriculum. There’s not really much else I can say about her.”

Benjamin Teague: ◑ “He’s an old soul, this one. I don’t think anything he does is spontaneous. It’s like he always has a plan thought out beforehand. Kinda weird for someone his age, but kinda impressive, too.”

Morrigan Cassandra Brighthill: ◑ “A Pureblood who isn’t an entitled bitch. Already, bonus points from me. From what I heard, she’s pretty rich too. I mean, it’s kind of hard not to notice, because she spends so much of it on her friends.”

Kwes Powers: ◑ “Hmm, Mr. Powers is pretty hard to read. He doesn’t really show any strong emotions. You’d think someone like him would be a loner, but he’s unusually social. His honesty and pessimism seem to put people off sometimes, though.”

Emmeline Lovelock: ☺ “What can I say? Little Emmy is a firecracker. I think she has twice as much energy as I do, and that’s saying something. She’s always doing something, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her stay completely still for five minutes. But that’s not at all a bad thing, as long as her energy is channeled appropriately, I think she has great potential. Anyway, she does pretty well in my class. More like all her classes, really. She always seems to find some alternative way of doing things, and I appreciate her innovation.”

Toby Kipling: ◑/☺ “Toby’s a nice kid. Too nice, maybe. I’ve noticed he never asks for help from anyone, and on the flipside, he’s only too happy to help anyone who needs it. He’s smart, but even Albert Einstein needed help. Don’t take my advice as gospel, but I think he could do with making sure he doesn't get shortchanged. Helping others is great and all, but sometimes you just gotta put your foot down.”

Reuben Grayson: ◑/☺ “Reminds me of my dad. That's a compliment, by the way. My dad's a great guy. Anyway, getting back on point, who doesn't love the Headmaster, you know? He's just an all-around saint. Actually, 'saint' might be a bit of an exaggeration but I've never seen the guy get mad over anything. Like, he does a pretty solid job of running Kingsridge, too. Sure, he can be kinda oblivious sometimes, but I think it only adds to that certain charm he has.”

Balthazar Casper Barnes: ☺/♥ “Well, Casper's a pretty cool guy; great at teaching, doesn't take any shit from anyone, and all that jazz. And, uh, it doesn't hurt that he's hotter than the surface of the sun. ...Fuck, did I just say that out loud? Whatever, judge all you want, but that's my opinion. Seriously, though. For someone a decade older than me, he's in a pretty solid condition. So much for keeping things professional, huh?”

Melissa Wallace: ☺/♥ “She’s great! A little kooky, I’ll admit, but that’s not always a bad thing. The compulsive lying thing is slightly off-putting too, but hey, everyone has their flaws. People don't give her enough credit, either. She's a good teacher, if you look past all the sexual innuendos. We go out for drinks on weekends, too. Although she usually seems more interested in picking up guys than drowning herself in pints of alcohol. Which is usually what I end up doing, but that’s besides the point. Anyway, I'd like to think we're good friends.”

Jaylen Beckley: ◑/☺ “Didn't like him much at first, honestly. Thought he was just gonna be another Pureblood supremacist. I mean, he kinda is a little bit, but as long as you don't pick a fight with anyone non-magical at every turn, I'm fine with it. Jay's pretty strict with his students, but that's just his way of teaching. Like I said, having magic is a gift and some people need to realise that. Maybe it's just me, but I can definitely see where he's coming from.”

Hey Superfly, is that just what your character thinks of Tom, or did you misunderstand him as well? Because he's definitely not anti-wizard or anti wizard heritage. Sebastian Jury: ◑ "That's the guy that hates laziness right? Yeeeeeeah, definitely not a House Luna type of guy since we're all pretty laid back. I got nothing against him personally, it's just that I don't feel like we really have anything in common. Not a bad guy though from what I can tell other than being a little awkward; he just isn't extraordinarily good either."

Jack Mellard Bourne: ◑ "He's in House Luna so I guess I sort of know him. To be honest, I just know that the kid's pretty lazy. Like sloth-only-move-nine-nanometers-a-day type laziness. Good for him I guess. That's the only really remarkable thing about him that I've noticed about him though. That may be partially because I don't really talk to him either."

Melissa Wallace: ☺ “It’s almost as if someone stuck the mind of an irresponsible and flirty nineteen year old into the body of an irresponsible and flirty twenty nine year old. I don’t know about you, but that’s some real magic. Yeah she’s a tad wonky but most interesting people are.”
