Imagine waking up in the morning to a perfectly normal day and realizing that you are literally immortal and have the power of a god. Imagine that a primordial force, evil incarnate has returned to earth to initiate the apocalypse. Imagine if these "new gods" took sides in this conflict. A modern day Earth as the battle ground for the war of the ages. Where humanity will either be exterminated, or the new gods will defend them. Well this is your chance to take part in an epic story that could end in any way. Whether it be the total destruction of earth and humanity, or the genesis of a new age.

UNIVERSAL DEITY POWERS
-Ascended Immortality (In a sense, immune to age, cant get sick, cant drown, can't break bones, etc. Can only be harmed by another immortal being)
-Perfected Physical Body (Essentially a perfect physical form, without flaw, sickness and weakness)
-Divine Form (This comes in time as the new gods learn to master their new powers)
-Teleportation (Capable of teleporting to other locations in the same dimensional plane)
-Ghosting (Capable of entering a "ghostlike state" being invisible to mortals and immune to things such as gravity and walls)
-Enhanced strength, agility, speed, durability, senses, etc. (These powers will become more powerful over time)
-Flight/Levitation (Yes, all deities have this power)

My questions: 1.) Is 2020AD the year it is now? 2.)Also what does AD stand for?

3.)Can these gods have totally original biographies and personalities and appearances?

4.)In the roleplay discription that you have-it sounds like each of the characters had normal lives before they became Gods. So the question is: For the I.C. or like the starting of the roleplay's story, would we start out on day 1 of being a God?

Lets see if I can answer all of those, lol. 1) In the rp it starts out in 2020, 5-6 years in the future. 2) means Anno Domini, latin for "Year of Our Lord" equivalent to CE or Common Era, 3) Absolutely, your character can be of any background/origin that you wish. 4) Yes, it will start on the 1st day, which will allow everyone to introduce their characters. Soon after something will happen that will cause all characters to gather together and meet, then we will continue the RP from there.

Although, I do think there's going to have to be a limitation on the God's abilities. Sounds ridiculous right? xD I mean a God with limits? I must be full of it? :P

One idea I had, was that the "new gods" gain their new powers slowly, so they wake up in their immortal form with limited powers that grow over time.

Q: would our characters have to conceal our 'God-ness' from the general public? Is humanity aware of these Gods?

Humanity is already on the on the brink of war when this starts. Relations between nations are strained and the arrival of these "New gods" could either be taken badly or seen as a ray of hope. Its up to the characters whether or not they reveal themselves. But if they do it will be top news and humanity will be in an uproar. The vast majority of them will not understand who they are until the RP progresses further.

Also keep in mind that if they are discovered then they may be hunted down. (Not that mortals can harm them) However there may be "Other" threats out there.
