I just restarted reading the book series and I thought it would be fun to do an RP on it. However no one has any going... so I'm thinking about making one. This would be either a High Casual or Advanced roleplay. It would either be set years after the breaking or years after the new age, but not during the years covered by the books or even when any of the characters are still alive. I would like this to be a smaller RP (2-4 people). I would also need a Co-GM because I don't want to go alone.

Since this is just an general interest check I'm not sure how much to put here. :D

I was thinking one person would be a Ta'veren. And everyone else could be whomever they wanted. Since I only wanted a smaller group I kind of assumed everyone would pick either a Channeler or someone equally empowered. Of course depending if it is set before or after the New Age, it depends on whither or not Saidin is clean of taint for the guys. Which would created problems if it was the former.

Unfortunately I do not have the free time at the moment to be joining another rp, but I just wanted to wish you guys the best of luck with this and I'll be keeping an eye on it. I've just started reading Wheel of Time as of late and am on the fourth book at the moment, and I'm having a blast with the series. I hope this rp gets the success that it deserves. I think one of the main reasons WoT unfortunately doesn't get the number of rps it probably could is just because of the sheer length of it. 14/15 books is... a lot.

Brilliant book series. Just started 10. But, would definitely have to ask if it was before or after the 10th, because of what actually happened. Then, Talents, abilities, if the Forsaken are going to be assholes with us, or to busy staring into the mirror and making it tell them they are pretty. Also what the status of the Seanchan is. So, lot to talk about. But I would still be interested in it.

Hey. I agree 100% with why people don't read it. But they're really missing out. It's a great series! And thanks, if you change you mind within the next week or so, we'll still probably only be starting :)

Well, if it is after the series. The forsaken would be dead/not there.:x As for the Seanchan, concidering the ending of the last book there'd be at least a peace between the nations.

Considering the amount of people who haven't finished the series that are expressing interest, I think I might go for setting this RP before the book series by a couple hundred years. Maybe during Arthur Hawking's time?

Ohh, being set in Hawking's time would be, pretty dam awesome. Still got The Bore to contend with, and thus Taint of Sadin. But, then if its at the end of the books, isn't the world world going to be fixed or something? Like, no really much scope for an epic RP.

It wouldn't be set right after the end. And not everything would be perfect. The nations would probably still quarrel with each other. There'd be wars and misunderstandings. There would be a lot we could do.

I'd probably set the story somewhere in these years during the time when Hawking was still alive.

Noting my interest, however I make no promises as I tend to struggle with the rps I'm already in. One set during or just after hawkwings time would be pretty cool, set after A Memory of Light would be less so imo, I mean sure there's all the changes that happened but it would be a lot trickier to pull off without giving those that have t finished the series a ton of spoilers.

Personally I read the whole series twice including new spring, so im covered from that happening.

That is why I'm really starting to lean towards going back in time instead of forwards.

And I have to admit, I am really impressed with the amount of people who've replied to this. This weekend I'll start compiling information for an OOC thread.
