Name: Fuwa Amaya
"Toxic Fuwa"
Age|Gender: 13
Alliance: Konoha
Rank: Genin
Clan: The Fuwa family; not a true clan given the lack of ninja history
Kekkei Genkai: None
Traits: Extremely knowledgeable about medicines and poisons, as well as skilled in their production. All members of the Fuwa family who work in the family business have their naturally brown hair bleached white by the powerful and deadly fumes produced by their work. Because of these same fumes it is rare to see a Fuwa without their gasmask on their person somewhere.
Appearance:Amaya prefers to wear long, dark pants, a leather belt that has a verity of satchels on it to hold her verity of medicines, poisons, and supplies to produce both in a pinch. while she often wears sleeveless shirt, she tends to be wearing the elbow length gloves her family members wear as protective wear for dealing with hazardous materials.
History: Amaya was born during to the Fuwa 'clan'. Though they never considered a clan in the traditional sense of a ninja village. Their family had rarely produced any ninja, the one or two that had popped up in their family history had been so long ago and of so little noteworthiness they seem more like a family myth than anything else. What the Fuwa family was known for was medicine. Their skill for the medicinal arts rivaled that of the larger and more ninja gifted Naru clan. But if you called any Fuwa a 'Medicine Man' they would have corrected you right away. They would tell you they were more accurately called Apothecaries. They, unlike the Naru who used their skills for medicine alone, the Fuwa were just as skilled at making deadly poisons as well as cures. While they kept much of their poison selling strictly confidential and mostly to the ninja of the village, they were likely responsible just as many deaths as there were for lives saved. A quite family, never looking to clime the social ladder or grow in power or wealth. They quietly applied their trade and did little else. Until Amaya's father.
Amaya's father was the first ninja of note to ever come up from the Fuwa Family. A skilled and careful practitioner of the ninja arts. He married a delicate young woman, but it would be many years before they had Amaya. He quickly rose to Jounin rank, though not at a radically young age it was fast, and much faster than anyone expected from a Fuwa. His success rate helped garner him plenty of attention. He was gaining a reputation as the 'Red Eyed Reaper' for his sharp, red eyes that were uncharacteristic of his clan and equal amounts of skill and cunning in combat. There was whispers that with his guidance the clan may start to rise up to be a new ninja clan in a few generations. But that simply wasn't fated to be. Sai, the Conqueror, would change all that.
Everything happened so fast after Sai's rise to power and destruction of the old ways. Amaya's father had disappeared for quite some time and was thought to have died at some point during the conquest of Konoha. It was several years into Sai's reign that he returned to his home. The Fuwa family had not been purged as many of the other clans had, the only talented ninja from them having seemed to die already and their medical expertise needed to alleviate the suffering of the masses since all medical ninjustsu had been lost. He came to say good bye to his wife. Telling her that he had been in hiding all this time to protect her and his family, but could no longer stand by while Sai slaughtered so many innocent. He was going to join the resistance, but wanted to see her before making the commitment. That was the night Amaya was conceived.
Her mother had always been frail and sickly, so it wasn't hard to keep the pregnancy secret. But to her mothers horror her daughter was born much in the resemblance of her father. similar features and his tell tale sharp red eyes. Terrified that Sai's men would put two and two together if they saw a new, red-eyed child of the Fuwa walking around she kept Amaya very isolated from world for much of her early life. She spent time only with her family members with-in the estate and never got more than an occasional glimpse of the outside world. She proved to be quite the natural at the family art of medicine and poison production and spent much of her time learning it's in and outs while hearing stories about her ninja father from her mother, even managing to sneak into the family storage and uncovering old ninja scrolls her father had hid in the house. They were all gibberish to her of course but they gave her a sense of connection to her absent dad.
They never heard word from her father again and as tension grew worst, Amaya's mother became more paranoid and secluded. Amaya grew and began wishing to be a part of the world but her mother being too fearful of the potential consequences as conflict arose between them. Amaya to start to pull away from her mother, turning to her grandmother to care for and educate her, though she was still kept largely a secret from the world. That is, until Sai's defeat. For weeks Amaya and her mother waited for her father to return. But there was no word. Until a man who said he was a shinobi of the resistance delivered her father's sword to them. He told them he had died years ago, but they hadn't contacted her because of the potential danger to the family. They were told he would always be remembered with honor among as a warrior and a healer among the revolutionary forces. This devastated Amaya's mother, causing her to go almost completely catatonic and shutting out the whole world.
This also broke Amaya's heart, and while she finally got a chance to be a part of the world, it seemed empty. That simple dream of walking down the streets holding her father's hand could never be made a reality. She had the freedom to leave home but the world seemed grey and lifeless to her now, but she couldn't stand the thought of staying back at home where she had been kept in secret for the rest of her life either. The first glimmer of light she had in a long time was when she heard they were opening the ninja school back up. After carefully thinking it over she decided to apply to the ninja school. While her mother, while she was lucid enough to do so, opposed the idea of her little girl fallowing the same path that got her father killed, but her efforts were fruitless.
And that is just what this was, a chance to be close to her father, the only way she could. by fallowing his footsteps maybe she would find her own path.
Personality: Sheltered from birth she is not great at interacting with people. She is stubborn and a bit rude to be honest, not good at getting close to people. This is only exasperated by her short temper, so she tend to quickly grow harsh with those she speaks with. Needless to say she has proven to be terrible at making friends. Given this seemingly angry, hateful attitude it earned her the nick name 'Toxic Fuwa', as if she is some kind of poision creature that keeps others away with it's toxic nature. The only time Amaya tends to show any kind of gentleness is with flowers. She absolutely loves flowers and will often grow quite sad if she has to use them to make medicine or poison.
Combat Style: While she has some of her father's talent for strategy and patients on paper, maturity has yet to hone it into anything she can actually use. So for the time being, Amaya is a fairly direct fighter. Not foolish or clumsy, just far from fancy. She prefers to tackle her problems directly. Her tai Justus has proven to be average, though she lacks the physic to give it any real punch, her Genjutsu leaves allot to be desired, but she has shown promise as a Ninjutsu practitioner. Her Chakra control is very acute for one her age. With time and proper training she great potential for destructive jutsu or medical jutsu, depending on the route of study she will take. He greatest physical attribute is her speed. She is incredible nimble and swift and she does her best to use this to compensate for her lack of power.

Poison Mist The user expels a small cloud of poison from the mouth by exhaling. Goes no farther than six feet with thick concentration, up to 9 feet with weak concentration, it will linger in an area for a good ten seconds at weak concentration before completely dissipating. At weak concentration it causes stinging/burning in the eyes and nose resulting in pain and temporary blinding. Mild concentration will cause more intense versions previous mention symptoms as well as a slight numbness of limbs. Strong concentration ( so if she blasts it right into your face at point blank range ) will result in more intense version of previous symptoms as well as making it hard to breath and potentially causing the foe to pass out from lack of air caused by the swelling of the throat. If the foe is highly conceptual to poisons they may even be killed by the violence of their reaction.
Drawbacks: Given her youth and inexperience the strength of the poison is quite weak over all. At weak and mild concentration the effects don't last longer than 30 seconds at her level and only a full minute at strong concentration. The mist does not linger long and can be easily blown away or redirected at allies or the user if the foe has the proper skill to do so.
Weaponry: Besides basic shinobi weaponry and her apothecary supplies she always carries about a small supply of minor poisions and minor medicines.
Poisons Amaya almost always has
- Green Sleep: A simple drug that once ingested ( best through mixed with a drink ) will cause great drowsiness and a short, but heavy, sleep.
- Biting Dust: A handy, if a bit difficult to use, poison. When it comes into contact with skin it results in nearly instant painful rashes that act much like poison oak.
- Powdered Flu: A fairly straight forward poison. It causes the one effected to feel sick and feverish for a short time ( on average 10 minutes ) effecting their ability to function properly. This poison is fast acting, but fast fading to. It also has a 'hill effect', the target gradually feels worst for the first 3 minutes feels various levels of awful for the middle four, then rapidly begins to feel better for the final 3. Best effective when made into a pasty liquid and applied to a weapon.
Medicines Amaya almost always has
- Immune Booster: A weak 'cure all'. It doesn't really cure anything as boost the targets immune system to help them recover quickly on their own.
- Burn Salve: A effective salve for treating burns.
- Toxin heal: A powder, when made into a salve good for treating infections, when made into a drink it good for fighting weak poisons.
Miscellaneous: She, like all members of her family, carries her gasmask everywhere. She has studied some first aid and medical jutsu basics but has yet to truly practice any of the later.
