"Thanks for defending me again" she said as she held close to him as they walked back.

"Like I said, no one is going to hurt you while I'm here", Dante replied eyes fixed on the campfire in the distance.

She stopped walking, making him stop as she gripped his hand. She walked to him until they were face to face.

"What's wrong?", he asked as he changed back into his human form to meet her height.

"Dante, I don't know if this makes you uncomfortable but....I like you. As in like you like you. Always have since we met. I know you wouldn't hurt me and you wouldn't see me harmed. But I do like you" she explained honestly and shyly as she held his hands.

"I'm not going to lie I do have a soft spot for you", Dante was going to finish his sentence when he remembered something, "but if we were together it would put you in more danger than you already are"

The scent of wet dog hangs in the forest, comming from the direction of the fire.

"Im a mermaid, Dante. If i was in danger, i would go to you or swim. Youve seen me with a wooden stake" she said as she looked at him through his eyes.

David watched the entire byplay between Dante and Aiden from a tree a meter or so away. He sighed at both their actions. Aiden for not realizing that his words were less than ideal for a truce talk, and Dante for not giving him the chance to speak regardless. Diplomacy was not one of David's strong points, but he's done it long enough to recognize amateur mistakes when he saw them.

He pushed away from the tree with enough force to leave a mark, and landed next to Aiden in a few seconds.

Aiden watched David land next to him but was to absorbed in though he walked to the fire out walking past Dante as jasmine slightly hearing there conversation and stopped. "We're not finished talking yet Dante don't disrespect me like that agin." Aiden said rolling up the sleeves of his shirt.

"That's just it, I might not be able to protect you. Aiden or Isabella is one thing but what I'm going to do after this is nothing compared to what we are dealing with now. I care for you Jasmine and because I care for you we can't be togethor. At least until I finish what I've set out to do"

"Fine then what is it you want to say?", Dante answered. "This time don't try to intimidate me, you may be a vampire now but you are unfamiliar with your new powers"

David was brimming with annoyance, but as Dante agreed to talk with Aiden, he held it in. He huffed and leaned on a tree, watching the two of them, with every intent to stop them if they went out of hand.

"Aiden, roll down your sleeves." he said, "I thought you were here to talk, not start a brawl."

"You think I was trying to intimidate you? No I was trying to show you that I wasn't going to hurt your little gifriend man. We both know she liked me not too long ago." Aiden said leaning on a tree. "Also David he's the one who tackled me before not the other way around." Aiden said turning his head towards David then back to Dante.

David shrugged and answered. "Which is why I'd rather you not try and aggravate him more, Aiden. You may not realize it, but you've got Jasmine and Dante on edge, plus, him tackling you was justified. What you were doing to Jasmine could have gotten you arrested anywhere else," stated David factually, peering at Jasmine with one eye. Again, diplomacy and politics were not his thing, but doing something like it long enough will give you a few tricks.

He had several chances Aiden said trying to show them that he wasn't going to filter himself but that he didn't want fight them. The only reason he was being this way was becuase jasmine try'd to turn Aiden against Isabella.

"No your clues gave me the answer" Honey says rubbing against his stomach.

"Haha now that's true but can you blame me atleast with Isabella i wouldn't have to protect her every second. Anyway you've calmed me down." Aiden said rolling his sleeves down. He liked David he was trying to be a good guy.

Kido couldn't help giggling a bit at the cat's actions. How sweet! "Okay, then. Let's see... I lived in the hospital for the first few years of my life... One of my parents are from Sweden... And I'm actually a girl." He grinned happily at the others as he waited for their reply. This was fun.
