[OOC] Orphanage for Supernatural Kids

Some people are born differently. These different kids are often unwanted. Many of them are abused by their families because of their differences. On the outskirts of a large city there is a huge orphanage. But this orphanage isn't for ordinary unwanted children. It is for those who were born differently. The orphanage is operated by a housekeeper for someone only known as the benefactor. It is said the benefactor might have been the first of these unusual kids and now that he has made a place for himself in the world he wants to do the same for others like him.

1. This is my RP. What I say goes. If you disagree with something we can discuss it.
2. Do not attack other characters without approval
3. Do not attack NPC without clearing it with me. I don't want random destruction.
4. DO NOT control other peoples characters without permission
5. If you are unsure about something ask I will answer to the best of my ability.
6. If you are going to be gone more then a day let me know. If you don't you might lose your character. I don't mind waiting but I need to know who to wait for.
7. If you have an idea let me know I am always open to suggestions
8. Discussions are welcome. Fighting is not.
9. Don't panic if alot of post happened while you were gone. I won't move on to the next activity if I know someone isn't online.
10. If you aren't sure about something ask

Appearance: Tall, slightly muscular, messy clothing. Black hair, and slightly pale skin. Always has a knife in his back pocket, but rarely gets it out.

Bio: When William was 13, his parents were brutally murdered, and William was forced to watch. This was when he discovered his abilities. He used his strength to break out of the ropes that tied him to his chairs, and killed the murderer, when he heard police sirens, he teleported away. He has been in and out of orphanages, but then got transferred to this one when he found out about it. Because of the incident when he was 13, he is now sadistic and sociopathic himself.

Personality: He is a very quiet and shy boy, though he can be kind to his friends. He usually has people talk to him first.
Appearance:
Bio: Cenhelm lived with his brother. He knew that he and his brother had powers, but they both kept it a secret. One day, his parents found out about the powers, and kicked them out, having them fend for themselves. Eventually, after about a year or so, they heard about an orphanage, and decided to go there, as they were tired of constantly having to fend for themselves.

Personality: He usually is happy and somewhat enthusiastic. He usually is energetic and runs everywhere. He often goes up to talk to people, and often he is the one that introduces people to Cenhelm.

Abilities: Liquid Affinity; including the ability to affect the temperature of water and its state of matter, be it freezing or causing it to condense out of the air. He's irresistibly drawn to large sources of water but is too young to understand why or try to resist. He also has a dependency on it for survival like an amphibian and can become very sickly if denied constant access to fresh drinking water. His skin is constantly moist as long as he's healthy and his hair is impossibly knotted and tangled like seaweed.

Personality: Shy and anxious, he's easily alarmed by anything that seems unfamiliar. Particularly sensitive to things that would be deemed 'scary' by any young child and tries to cling to the nearest welcoming person for safety. He's also pretty naive, immaturely so for his age, and seems to get into precarious situations near constantly.

Appearance: A boy with dread-knotted black hair down to his knees and oddly dilated pupils that resemble a mixture between feline and fish eyes. This and his small face gives him a sharp little expression that bellies his relative ignorance about most things.

Bio: The result of a one-night stand between his father and a mysterious woman who he met on the beach. His father has been unable to locate his mother since, and the strains of raising a child alone in a difficult economy finally got to him.

Abilities: Emotion reading and manipulation. He can feel the emotions of others, at all times he can feel the emotions of other's around him, sometimes to an unbearable degree. He's able to push little waves of emotions into people's minds, so if someone's sad he could put a little bubble of happiness in their head that could help them feel better. After a lot of training, he could gradually get better at this until he would be able to actually manipulate emotions.
Personality: Shy and timid, though determined. Sensitive. Adventurous and curious about everything. Anti-social and has a lot of trouble communicating and interacting with people around him. Is scared of getting close to someone because he believes that they'll just abandon him once he does something wrong. Good at keeping in his emotions and hides how he feels most of the time. Always spaces out and day-dreams, it's often hard to get him to respond because he's in a whole different world. Very imaginative. Even though he may come off as cold due to his anti-social tendencies, he is actually a very caring person and will do anything he can to help someone. Loves to find little hidey-spaces or climb trees and things like that where he can be alone. Really clumsy. Believes he's worthless and a waste of space, hard for him to see otherwise. That aforementioned orphanage closed down when he was only five years old, leaving him on the streets. He was employed (probably illegally) in the back of a shop doing heavy labor for minimal pay, only enough to get him a small meal a day, not leaving much for anything else. There wasn't anywhere else he could go though, so he stayed. He was treated very harshly at that job, often getting hit and abused, both physically and verbally, for small missteps. Everyday he was met with a tirade of shouts about how worthless and horrible he was, eventually setting that view onto himself. Nothing changed in his life for ten years, until his fifteenth birthday when his abilities were discovered after he accidentally told the shopkeeper how he was feeling. Scared and angered, the shopkeeper beat him half to death and threw him in an alley, where he was found by someone who knew about the orphanage. After recovering, he told the person about his abilities and he was sent off to the orphanage, where maybe he would finally find a home.

Gender: Male

Abilities: Sensory manipulation. Basically, illusions using both sight and sound. Occasionally, he can incorporate smell, but it is very difficult. He still has a bit of trouble controlling his ability, and often sends himself into waking nightmares and trances as a result. Others around him may be affected negatively during the waking nightmares, but he always receives the worst of it when he loses control. His eyes always change to black with white irises when he's losing control.

Personality: A little shy, but perfectly nice, Kyo can be a bit spacey. Sometimes he's just thinking about things, and sometimes he's just observing. Sometimes, though, he may be stuck in a trance caused by his ability, but these usually end after just a few minutes without affecting other people. He will eat just about anything as long as it does not appear to have a face, and he loves catkins.
He also does not speak. He has not done so since he was around ten years old.

Appearance:

Bio: Kyo lived a fairly happy life with his parents and two brothers until the age of ten, when they died in a car accident. After living for a year and a half with an aunt who didn’t want him and treated him terribly, he was abandoned and left to fend for himself for two years. He lived in an empty house after being abandoned, and because of his overacting powers, the house was rumored to be haunted. He still has some trouble controlling his powers, though he improved somewhat over the two years he lived alone.

Kyo still keeps a bell his mother gave him before the accident, and he wears it on his right wrist at all times, except when he sleeps, usually.

Not to worry. This isn't the first time the orphanage has had loners. It's one of the reasons the housekeeper is always throwing them together. I can add Roxy and Liz to balance things out too. My girls aren't shy.
