Welcome to Our Caravan!
It's the 18th century, and the witch hunt is at an all time high. Any and all magic users are burned, hung, or drowned. Upon seeing that the craft is being punished, Azga Vonderheist, a travelling 'magician,' has started a gypsy caravan full of magic users or beings of magic to hide and protect them from the world that despises them so. Travelling all throughout Europe and occasionally overseas, Azga and the Misfits work as an entertainment troupe; selling potions and magic books under the table. In the caravan, it is safe to exist. With so many witches and otherwise dead, the caravan is all anyone has.
The church is our enemy.
The clergy, righteous with their innocent-slaying Templars, are highly suspicious of the troupe and wish to investigate. Azga is aware of this, and moves the caravan constantly. There isn't much hope, however, and there's talk of a permanent overseas stay in the eastern countries. Time will tell if the Misfits can keep the secret, and keep us all safe from the gallows.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
-This is black magic we're dealing with. Don't be afraid to get dark with it!
-This will not be 100% historically accurate, and almost be more anime-like. Nobody likes a history snob in an rp that's meant to be fun.
-Witches are humanoid beings of magic. If they run out of magic, they CAN die. Keep in mind that magic IS exhaustible.
-Magic must have a unique siphon to each witch; something such as Azga, whom obtains magic from applause, spending time in nature, etc. Do NOT make the sun, or the moon, your power source. It needs to be something specific and unique, because all witches are unique.
-I WILL CONSIDER... a magical being, if you don't want to be a witch. Do not overload me with them, however, as hiding a unicorn in a travelling caravan is kinda difficult.
-New addition, you can be apart of the clergy and on the hunt for witches! Be careful though! If you detect witches too easily I WILL call you out. Templar beware...
1. No godmods, no sues, no whining.

3. POWER IS EXHAUSTIBLE. Think of it like a mana meter in final fantasy or any other video game.

6. A witch cannot be all around powerful in every single subject. There IS such a thing as general magic, but then your witch wouldn't be very powerful in any specific attack. If you want an ice witch you fucking rip that character, give her ice cannons, ice blasters, iced tea... you get the point.

Azga is a light manipulator, a witch who specializes in the mobility and illusion provided by light of any kind. To put it in traditional terms, by using the reflection of water droplets which are hit by light in the air; now you see him, now you don't. Light manipulators are infamous for the invisibility techniques as well as their balanced offense and defense. He is able to generate shields to deflect magical harm, blind his foes with large flashes of light, and when siphoned enough, give himself wings of light that increase his speed threefold.

History:
Not too much is known about Azga other than a few things. He grew up in a house full of women who were all exceptionally selfish, and he set out to be a mage once he learned his father was a witch. He made to escape his house and make his own name for himself to become the best witch there ever was. Apparently, he studied in a secret Magical University somewhere far up north that's been all but eradicated and has had a large number of lovers come and go in his life. He started this caravan after realizing what was becoming of other magic users but has kept his opinions to himself about how he feels about it.

On the front of this jacket he was four holsters in which he keeps his flintlock pistols stored. He also wears a tough leather belt to which his sword, throwing knives, ammo pouch, and gunpowder pouch, are attached. On his belt and jacket he also keeps several boxes of playing cards.

West has several magical decks of playing cards. The cards themselves are not magical, but he can channel his magic through them to devastating effect on his enemies, or some useful help for his allies.
For one thing, West can magically change what the card he is holding in his hand is. That's not to say he could turn a card into a bullet, but to say that he can change it from an Ace of Spades to a King of Hearts.
West has explosive cards, that upon contact with an object that they've been thrown at, will cause a small explosion.
West have cards that deal major concussive force, ranging from feeling like you've been punched rather hard to several horse-power of force.
West has cards that, when thrown into the ground, will project a 5x5 magical barrier for thirty seconds.
West has cards he calls "Sticky Cards" he can attach these cards to almost anything, and they will virtually without fail, stick. He can always sense the location of his sticky cards if he focuses on them.

History:
West was born in England to his mother, who was a witch, and his absent father. He lived in England until he was seven, at which point his mother revealed to West that she was indeed a witch, causing West to take up magic himself. As West's magical power grew, his mother decided staying in England wouldn't be a good idea for them, as they would be discovered eventually. They went to france and soon begin traveling, even with brief stints in The New World. Eventually, when West was twenty, West, his mother, and a family friend whom had they had been traveling with were in England once again, after a bad experience in one part of France, and his mother and family friend were captured by Clergymen and burnt at the stake. But West managed to flee, eventually making it back to the New World and continuing to move around a great deal. Eventually he heard of Azga's caravan and joined up as a caravan guard and user of card tricks.

Faye was born in England. Her mother was a whore and her father could have been one of many men. She ran from home at a young age and travelled the country, stealing when she needed to. One day she was caught stealing from a blacksmith. The blacksmith took sympathy and took Faye in as if she was his own. Faye worked as the blacksmiths apprentice. In her teens, Faye found out her power and helped around the shop, keeping it secret from her adopted father. Despite this, one day the blacksmith found out and cast her out of the house, leaving her and making sure she was not welcome anymore. Faye then began to travel, surviving day to day. Many years later she found a travelling caravan, who took her in, offering a job and a home.

When traveling, Drina typically dresses in the same three too-large shirts and a pair of shorts. When it gets cold he typically throws on a pair of pants instead, but otherwise, that's his basic attire. He dresses nicer when walking around town, like wearing shoes, and wearing shirts that fit.

Drina has several scars on his back, small ones that seem as though made from fingernails. He also had a birthmark on the right side of his hip that looks like a burn. His hands are quite a mess as well, and are often covered in bandages considering they're more often burnt than they are healed.

During her performances, Sierra can be found with very skimpy clothing, typically a robe that reveals her back and a modest amount of cleavage. Magic: Hypnotic suggestion. Sierra herself cannot command, or make anyone do something that they don't want to do against their will. However, what she CAN do is get inside their head, and plant little suggestions, ideas, seeds. The point is that the person they're planted into passes over the seed mentally, and has an idea they believe is theirs that she can have benefit her, them, or anyone around them. However, she cannot plant something completely out of character for that person, or the seed itself will die. She can't make an overly innocent little girl turn into a murderer. Most of the time, this does not work due to the mind purging the seeds, but on the occasions that it does indeed work, it's mostly for her own advantage.

About: Works in the Caravan as treasurer and performs as a knife thrower. He is not a very skilled witch whatsoever and compared to the others his talents are laughable. He is supposed to be a Blade witch, a witch who's talents are focused on summoning knives, swords, and other bladed weapons or metal objects as well as levitation. Typically these witches are renowned to be the most graceful of all witches with how beautifully they can summon the blades and work them. Pierre, however, is extremely clumsy and possesses the grace of a duck whose right leg and wing are bound in duct tape. Unfortunately, this clumsiness and desire to prove himself is what caused him to lose an eye, on stage no less when attempting to show off in front of a crowd. He is a good knife thrower, seldom missing his mark, but despises his magic talents and wishes for a stronger magic, thinking that would be the answer to his problems. Born and raised in France.

Siphon: The smell of roses. (Rose incense could work, but rose perfume, soap, deoderant...they wouldn't suffice.)
Magic: Duplication - The ability to create copies of herself at will. The maximum number of clones present at any time is four, and they share feelings and biological processes (eg if one of them eats, they will all feel full) as well as injuries. They do not drain over time but instead the summoning and dismissal of each clone is a huge drain on energy, therefore it is not unlikely that you see perhaps 2 or 3 of her wandering around.

Personality: Proud, elegant, inquisitive, empathetic, hardworking.
History: Only a few facts have been disclosed to the members of the caravan - she was bonded to a Geisha House at 7 years of age, and escaped Japan at 15 for reasons unknown. She travelled as a musician until she located the caravan.
Caravan Duties: Performer (traditional japanese dances/music), Manual labour and Messenger, due to the fact there's almost always more than one of her around.
Loves: New clothes, new geisha make-up and people respecting/partaking in her traditional Japanese culture.

Magic: Levitation. True to the trade, she can lift objects, including herself, with her mind. Although it can be very strenuous on her and she is still trying to keep it under control.
Skills: Graziella is incredibly acrobatic and flexible, she is also a fair cook and has a beautiful singing voice.
Personality: Free, Caring, Friendly, Calm.
History: Graziella was chased out of Italy for her magical origin. A man of Human decent was 'seduced' by a magical being, her mother was executed before her eyes at the age of twelve. Living in secret for years, her powers became extravagantly untamed. On a stormy day, blistering winds and pelting rain, her powers acted on their own, causing objects to fly, soar and crash. It was then that tragedy struck once more. A tree had become unrooted in the storm, crushing her father in a single blow. Accused of murder and witch craft she fled Italy to try and find a safe haven.
Her last words there were "No! Non colpevole!" (Not Guilty)

THE CLERGY

An all black attire with crimson lining consisting of his priest robes and boots. It is said that he has a hidden tattoo plastered on his back that not even his fellow priests know of. Said tattoo is actually nothing more than two large scars loosely resembling snake fangs. Furthermore, he has a small vial of blessed water hanging around his neck.

A set of stiletto knives, counting six in total, along with a silver long sword that he coats daily in holy water. He keeps his knife weaponry concealed in his cloak while the long sword lays safely in its sheath usually found slung on his back. Also carries around a small black bible for holy protection and divine guidance.
Skills:
Exceeds greatly in close combat. His skill with bladed weapons are mostly limited to his knives and swordplay. But with redundance comes familiarity, and he is as deadly and skilled using these two tools as any war axe or shield. As a priest, it is also required of him to be able to bless the innocent and damn the unholy to a rotting eternity of suffering. As far as religious duties go, he is most efficient in exorcisms.

History:
Valek's story began on the day his parents abandoned him and his younger sister to the wilds of the world to fend for themselves. No reason was given, now was one needed. Only empty stomachs and broken hearts. Taken in by the local town church men, it wasn't long before Valek found a new calling in his life. Something of which to give him purpose to his meaningless existence; to go forward and do the Lord's work. For a time, peace was present in the young boy's mind until one warm day in the fall.
An accident of sorts involving the town drunkard in which the intoxicated man inadvertently murdered his sister. Said incident involved the drunk man attempting a magic trick with his younger sister as the volunteer and a loaded musket; as expected, the display ended horribly due to a "miscalculation". The man was hung on the spot by the good citizens and the body of a little girl was buried behind the church.
Fueled by rage and haunted by grief, Valek would commit the rest of his life to hunting down and punishing the wicked for the sake of the innocent. Locking up his emotions, he eventually succeeded as a major priest and so traveled the country in doing God's work and hunting down the most vile of sinners: witches. Rumor has it that he is currently investigating and in pursuit of a certain caravan said to be filled with heretics and sinners alike.
