AppearanceAlex is what you expect a pure blooded Ishvalan to be, brown skin, white hair, and of-course scarlet red eyes. If you didn't know of who his parents where, you would have never known that he was part Amestrian. Though besides those key feature,the man is rather tall and well built for his age. He was always quite stocky when he was young, but he only became more so when he was older. The man kept his white hair long, and tide back to lay on his back. Though unlike most Ishvalan men, the man didn't quite have a very stern face. Besides that, Alex is what you'd expect of an Ishvalan monk.
PersonalityAlex always found him self to be quite a relaxed an calm person. Though stern when it comes to the well being of those he wants to protect.Though he also finds himself to be quite interested in learning about everything and anything. His want to learn usually outweighing his religious beliefs.

Brief HistoryAlex life wasn't quite the difficult one before the age of extermination. He was an only child, raised by his mother with no real father figure around. His mother was of course, just as religious as any other Ishvalan. So of course he was raised to be just as religious as his mother. Up in till he was 16, Alex didn't know a single bit about his heritage on his father side. As well as the fact that he was part Amestrian. ( He was never treated any differently from any other to really give him a clue that he wasn't all Ishvalan.)
At the age of 16, his mother decided to give the things his father left behind as well as a picture of him. At that point, he learned about his father... that he was an Amestrian... and that he was an alchemist. The things that his mother gave him was his father notes as well a letter from his father. To sum it up, the letter from him essentially said this. "I'm leaving your mother but please protect her for me. Also take care of my notes for me. K thanks <3."
The notes that his father gave him were confusing and didn't make any sense what so ever. Though that only made him interested in finding out what exactly they meant. He knew it had something to do with alchemy but besides that he was in the dark. This made the Alex want to learn more about alchemy as a whole. Though because of what alchemy meant to Ishvalans. He did so in secret. It was quite a hard thing to do because he was also on the road to become an Ishvalan monk as well, but he managed some how. Learning quite a deal about alchemy in a whole. Though never actually using it. To uphold somewhat to the teaching of the god of Ishvala.
