[OOC] The Compound

Inside The Compound, we are safe. Inside The Compound, we are a family. Inside The Compound, we are blind to the world around us. We have lived here all our lives, and we are shielded from the evils that dwell in the Waste. Though we are safe, we crave what is on the other side...the adventure, the thrill of protecting ourselves. The Compound is not what it seems, and very few can see what is really going on.

The idea: The year is 2087, and you live in a post apocalyptic wasteland fondly known as the Waste. You are one of The Compound's residents, and one of the few that can see what is really going on. Your goal? To overthrow The Father, or find away to leave The Compound with your life...and limbs intact.

Basic personality: Effy is mischievous and cunning, yet thoroughly charming with an infectious smile. She has a tendency to be extremely stubborn, constantly earning herself beatings. Constant abuse at the hands of The Compound’s leaders has left her filled with hatred that she represses to the best of her abilities; she is not always successful, and sometimes erupts in fits of angers.

Tattoos?: Three red dots under her left eye. Four solid black lines on each shoulder blade to show she is the fourth child of the Winters. She has the word “Obey” branded on the back of her neck.

Weapon of choice: Crude daggers that she fashioned herself.
Quirks: She crosses herself at random times.
Vices: Cigarettes.
Weaknesses: Her close friends

Name: Logan Winters
Age: 23
Basic personality: Logan is quite and thoughtful, always observing and listening to what is going on around him. He very bright, and knows a little bit on every subject. Logan was blessed with an even temper, only angered if provoked.

Basic personality: Mathew has a very clear way of thinking about things. Don't like it? Leave it or go. It's his main way of keeping morale high. He'll get as many allies as friends as he can. While he fights with a knife,he prefers to not fight and plan what others will do. But he doesn't do that often.

Appearance

Name: Susanna Bell
Age: 24
Basic personality: Often times tongue-tied in the mantra of the Jesus Prayer, Susanna is a reserved character who finds herself comfortable being a wall flower or the third wheel of a social group. She is highly opinionated, radical, and often times finds following the masses quite difficult. She has been punished severely for her "odd thinking," and those scars she cannot forget, hidden on her back. It is because of the beatings that she has found herself to be so reclusive and biting her tongue to profusely. Her individualist behavior is not one to comply with the compound. But she tries with all her heart to avoid getting punished even if it means staying silent forever. Of course, temptations come and go, and she is by no means perfect. She would just like to make her mother happy, a woman who seems to understand the importance and significance of the compound rules and regulations.

Quirks: Susanna is tall and thin and often times clumsy, which draws more attention to herself by accident.

Weaknesses: Mentioning of the luscious world before the days of the compounds.

Name: Raymond Hackett
Age: 29
Body type: Around 5'9", strong man.
Basic personality: At the age of 14, Ray's parents died in a house fire, and he suddenly found himself living as a homeless orphan that people tried their best not to look at. Over time, he grew a resentment toward the system that let him fall through the cracks and wouldn't be afraid to admit it, either. In order to get by, he had taken to theft, which in time turned into vandalism, and generally falling in with the wrong crowd. He is a very clever man and he is very protective of himself, only ever helping someone if he felt he had something at stake involving them. He can also be very callous and rude at times, though he considers this to be his version of honesty and straightforwardness. As he is about to enter his 30s, however, he's been trying to stray from his past and mature up a bit.

Tattoos: Three dark rings wrapped around his right forearm and a skull with no jaw on his right shoulder. On his left inside wrist there is a bar code he had tattooed as a statement to how he felt being in the compound. It embarrasses him, somewhat, since he remembers it as a decision made full of angst when he was 16, though he still thinks it at least looks cool. He also has two 9s tattooed on the right side of his neck, signifying his birthday, September ninth.
Piercings: None
Weapon of choice: brass knuckles, a hunting knife, and a snub .38.
Quirks: He tends to rub his fingertips together [only the left hand] whenever he's in deep thought or irritated.
Vices: He is very quick to suggest violent action
Weaknesses: He has occasional bouts of depression, which is due to how he lived his adolescent and young adult life up till now. He also has developed trust issues with people.
Anything else of note: What his parents did for a living were always kept a secret from him.

Basic personality: Jennelle wants to believe that the Compound is just and that it's rules and regulations are for the better of everyone, but she knows deep down it's not true. She is nice at first, but if you tick her off, she will bite back. Don't take advantage of her hospitality and kindness.

on her left shoulder. She also tattooed crosses on the top of both her hands to show her loyalty to The Father.

Anything else of note: Her parents died just a year ago from an 'accident'. They knew too much about the compound and they needed to be offed.
