Ryomi Fiett Leitannia vs. Bloodshot (Match 1)
********************

Ryomi flew lightly around the cityscape, nimbly moving between the tips of skyscrapers as her long maroon hair wiped wildly around her face in the wind that could be found this high above the ground, updraft against the walls of the large buildings. Her vibrant eyes, the same color as her hair, glanced downward for any signs of trouble that may be brewing in the city below. She felt like a superhero when she carried out her duties in this manner, and in many ways she was, even if she was too humble to admit it. Okay...she maybe she'd brag about it a little, but that's besides the point.

Often times she didn't have to even fight to deter rogue spirits and criminals. As soon as they saw her silhouette against the sky they would quickly cease all illegal activity and go about their way if they knew what was good for them. Sometimes she did get attacked even so, and although she preferred to avoid violence if possible, sometimes it was refreshing to get the chance to get them off the streets to make the world a little safer, hopefully by not killing them but rather capturing them and making sure they faced justice.

A flock of colorful birds fluttered past her, causing her to giggle and start chasing them around to get a better look and have a bit of fun. For a moment she even almost forgot that she was on assignment to be on the lookout. That is until a voice in the back of her head, belonging to her sister, spoke up.

"Watch yourself. You can be attacked at any second you let your guard down."

"Yes yes, mother," she replied by thinking. She was really glad her sister was still "alive" and well, but sometimes she could admittedly be a tad annoying, and being in her head all the time didn't help the matter. It was always serious business with her. Not that her sister was entirely wrong, but it didn't hurt to have fun every once in a while either. To appease her sister, at least for the time being, she focused back on what she was doing. Something suspicious might have caught her attention out of the corner of her eye so she swooped in to investigate.

So. Many. Stairs. Honestly, who even needs this many stairs? Or buildings this tall to put them in? The dwarves had it right. Build underground. Although then you'd probably just have the same problem going in the opposite direction... He'd have to give this some more thought once he finished the contract. These stairs were just really annoying. Not tiring, not for him, but still annoying.

Finally reaching the roof exit, he kicked the deadbolted door open, twisting the metal frame as much as the door itself, and stepped out onto the roof. It didn't take him long to spot the human-sized flying speck up in the sky, thanks both to his great eyesight as well as his armor's systems, and he quickly realized that he probably should have picked a taller building. She was way up there. Good thing he brought the megaphone. It had been so nice of that cop downstairs to let him borrow it. He'd have to send the man a thank you later. If he lived, of course. A crushed trachea has a habit of developing nasty complications like suffocation and death.

Lifting the megaphone to his mask's vocalizer, he activated it and almost winced at the loud squeal it produced. Lowering it, he smacked the side a couple times until the squeal went away, then raised it again, entirely disregarding the fact that it was now broken. Instead, he just cranked up his vocalizer volume to make it look like the megaphone still worked. It was important to keep up appearances.

"HEY! YOU UP THERE IN THE SKY! I'VE JUST KILLED A DOZEN MEN AND I'D LIKE TO CONFESS!"

Ryomi looked at the heavily armored man curiously. It was rare that someone would confess such crimes to her, but perhaps it was a good change of pace to make it easier on everyone? Got to look on the bright side every so often. But then again, killing that many people was very serious, so how likely would it be that someone wicked enough to do such a thing would confess? Unless maybe it was an accident or in self defense. It was hard to read what this guy was up too inside that armor of his.

"Umm...put your hands behind your head, and stuff," she called out to him as she descended into talking distance. She wasn't a police officer but she had watched some cop shows in the past, so hopefully that would give her the know how to make a citizens arrest. That is if he was seriously going to go peacefully. She hovered in closer to him at about a body length above the top of the skyscraper he was on and 8 feet away from him. She kept her spirit shields up just in case he tried anything funny, surrounding herself in a faint bluish glue. Even if this was a trap she figured she could easily take on a "normal" human such as himself.

"Don't get any closer. I don't like this," her sister's voice chimed into her head. She clearly didn't want to get close enough to allow him to bypass the shield, but how else could she arrest him?

"Umm....turn around, hands on your head, and I'll escort you to the nearest police station. You may confess as we go," she ordered, pointing her weapon at him with her right hand. This was as demanding and impolite as she'd want to go, even with someone like him. Hopefully this was the extent of it and they could all leave this scenario peacefully.

That shimmery blue thing surrounding the woman could be trouble. He'd probably have to find a way around it before he could take her down and collect his bounty. Scenarios started racing through his head, various ways of forcing her to drop the shield or simply bypassing it entirely, until suddenly she handed him the Trojan horse he needed. He'd turned his mask's vocalizer back down to normal levels, and was now speaking at the same volume she was.

"Alright, alright, you got me. I'll come quietly."

He turned away as ordered and dropped the broken megaphone as he raised his hands behind his head, very conveniently placing the staff and sword sheathed on his back within easy reach. Maybe she wouldn't notice that bit, after all, miracles DO happen. Even if she did though, he doubted he'd need them to beat her in close quarters. What little intel he'd been able to gather indicated most of her power was ranged, whereas he was the exact opposite. Stick him in close and there are very few people he can't beat.

Ryomi Fiett Leitannia vs. Bloodshot (Match 1)
********************

"Don't get any closer than this," her sister thought. "He's very suspicious, especially with those weapons...ask him where the bodies are. I see no blood on him." It was possible he was able to kill them with long ranged attacks rather than using his sword and staff, of course, but beating so many people should have still given him some sort of battle wounds, unless he was insanely tough. And where was all of the police during all of this? Was Ryomi really the first one on the scene?

Ryomi did as requested of her, stating, "Where are all of the people you killed?"

She found it a tad odd as well now that it was brought up. Okay, perhaps it was more than a tad odd and she should have realized it sooner, but she was still learning. Not everyone could be as observant as her sister. She was certainly lucky to have her around in more ways than one.

Cellinli Lienfeld vs. Niks (Match 1)
********************

"Why do I get in such predicaments all the time?" Cellinli thought to herself, almost literally shaking in her boots at the sight of the ghost town that she was slowly making her way through...forcing her way through was more like it. There was plenty of places that she'd rather be right now, even facing down a swarm of evil goblins. Well, female goblins at least. She was scared of two main things; men and the supernatural. There were rumors of ghosts or other wicked creatures hanging around these parts, and although it was only rumors that said so she was still not one to dismiss such things and remain ignorant of the possible dangers. Ignorance was bliss, but she couldn't will herself to be ignorant despite all her attempts. At least not when the issue was staring her right in the face. Once this town could be put behind her she'd quickly return to her old cheery self, but until that happened no amount of thinking happy thoughts would save her.

Her eyes darted from one abandoned run down building to the next, all but expecting a monster to pop out at any moment to suck out all of her blood. Unfortunately for her the rumors might have a grain of truth to them after all.

********************
Evvie vs. Aurelia (Match 1)
********************

Evvie, playfully exercising, leapt from rock to rock, pretending they were large foes that she needed to vanquish by stomping on their heads with both feet like some sort of video game character; not that she had ever played a video game, being more of an outdoorsy individual with little understanding of technology. The last time someone allowed her at a computer she had destroyed it swiftly; as swiftly as these "monsters" she was stomping on were smashed to pieces underneath her assault. No matter how many she took down there were many more to take their place. Rocks both big and small were scattered all around her on this hilly terrain. She could smash them for hours until she got tired and there would still be many more rocks left "alive" if she wanted to come back for more another day. She dropped down and smashed another one with her right fist, sending it exploding into pebbles that rained down on the area in front of her. Ha ha! They were no match for her! When would a real opponent worthy of her talents show up?

Satisfied with her destruction, she brushed her palms against one another, swiping off the dust that had accumulated on them. She was about to continue on when it felt like someone was watching her. She looked around, curious as to who that might be, or if she was simply mistaken.

"Oh, them. They're downstairs in the lobby. A couple civvies, but mostly cops. Didn't put up much of a fight, if I'm honest. I felt bad about that. Figured I'd come turn myself in."

He remained facing away from her the entire time he was speaking, his hands behind his head like she'd told him to place them, his feet shoulder width apart and his body relaxed. Or as relaxed as he could be, at any rate. He was getting kind of tired of these little mind games. If she hadn't moved, and from the sound of her voice she hasn't, she was a mere eight feet away from him. His staff was six when fully extended, and his arm could make up the difference. He was starting to doubt that his ploy would work, she just kept getting more cautious the more she talked, so he decided to opt for a more active approach.

Without doing anything prior to give himself away, things like saying a few witty words to the tune of "on second thought" or "you know, I've had a change of heart", he spun back to face her, left hand gripping the end of his staff as be moved and pulling it free of his back. It swung out in a horizontal arc as it extended, aimed for the girl's right hip. If it struck, it would be hard enough to crush all the affected bones then and there, and the electrical charge it would generate would be more than enough to kill a human.

Niks grumbled as he walked around the abandoned town he had claimed and used as a safe-house to be away from the pesky humans that had persistently chased him everytime he went out to do his own thing. It was their persistence that had stopped him from any attempt of getting a suit to use. Perhaps he should just try to disable the men the next time he run to them. That would require some preparation on his part if he didn't want to spent too much time on it. Niks shifted his hold on the staff in his grasp from one hand to the other as he headed to one specific building. Muttering to his own as he mentally made a checklist of ingredients, Niks almost dismissed the presence of a human traveler fidgeting on her own as he went into the building. His hand hovered on the door as her presence registered to his mind and the undead slowly turned his head to face the long haired human. There was no further reaction from him as Niks quietly observed her, green orbs of flame seemingly ready to grew into a larger flame that would engulf her..

Aurelia vs Evvie - Match 1

It had been a good week since she had left to wander the area. This place, the Never-Ending World, held so many strange places. Places filled with nothing but shadows and darkness, others where it was nothing but light. She vividly remembered one place on the second day of her journey that had been crawling with flowers that wasn't actually rooted. Luckily for her, she had had her trusty scythe to cut down anything that came too close, and her magic for those few that was too persistent for a single sweep of the blade to take care of.

During that week nothing had truly been a challenge. Nothing was even on the level of most of the weaker creatures from where she had come from, and she actually felt bored because of that. In the few years that she had spent in the Never-Ending world she had grown fond of fighting, though but necessarily killing. Truthfully, she didn't like to take lives unless absolutely necessary, and even then she did it only because she would otherwise die. No, most often she simply knocked her opponent unconscious and just wandered off which, given the past week, was quite the easy feat. She longed for a bit more of a challenge.

As she walked among the rocks, teleporting when there was a ravine or other too far to jump across, she thought of her first adventure and how she was taught to use the magic of life and death, as well as darkness and shadow. It had been extremely painful, but it was fun in its own way. Fun in the way that she had opened herself to so many possibilities that she had never even realised existed before. A small smile tugged at her lips as she vanished from sight, reappearing on top of a large rock to get a better view. However, she wanted to look farther, so she took ahold of her scythe with both hands and plunged the butt of it into the stone below, making sure it stood fast before she jumped up on it, balancing on the top as she scoured the area around here.

There!

Hidden in the shadows of her hood, her smile widened. Someone was there, and going by how quickly they moved and how easily they shattered rocks, whoever it was, he or she was powerful.

Will you alleviate my boredom, I wonder.

She stood there, balanced atop her scythe and covered entirely by her cloak, watching the stranger.

Ryomi Fiett Leitannia vs. Bloodshot (Match 1)
********************

Although it was somewhat of a surprise for him to make a sudden attack, she had not let her guard down for that possibility and had quick reactions, allowing her to hover away just in time to avoid the swing. She didn't have time to get her own weapon out right now, but as he would soon find out, if he didn't already know, she didn't need a weapon to be dangerous. As she flew further backwards and up in equal amounts away from him, facing him the entire time, she built up a weak tennis sized ball of glowing blue energy to fire his way. It's main purpose was to try and distract him until she could get into a better position and come up with a plan for attack. If she was lucky it could knock him backwards and hurt him as if getting struck by a fastball, but otherwise his armor could more than likely withstand it. Another reason to make it weak was that she didn't want to risk having him dodge the attack and cause it to destroy the skyscraper underneath him. In this case it would do some structural damage to the ceiling but stood no change of breaking through and still having enough force to harm innocent civilians if they happened to be hanging around underneath.

With a second of charge time it had grown to sufficient power for this purpose, so she sent it flying at the speed of a bullet out of her right hand, directed at the center of his mass. She continued flying 40 miles an hour away from him while she did so.

********************
Cellinli Lienfeld vs. Niks (Match 1)
********************

It was hard to miss the green flames of his eyes peering out from the darkness of the entryway, although it was at first hard to register what exactly she was seeing. Was the building on fire, and if so, why, and why that color? Oh no, it wasn't some freaky scary monster eyes, right? Like in cartoons where all you see is the eyes looking out from the darkness? She pretended to not notice at first, her fidgeting getting worse as she stood in place, pondering frantically what to do. Could she outrun him? Maybe if she activated her magic it could give her the boost she needed to escape, but it would take a bit to charge up. If it attacked her during that time she needed another plan.

She unhooked her odd, circular weapon from her belt as nonchalantly as she could muster, and focusing her magic on the crescent steel pieces that made up the two blades, she began coating it with a layer of air that would act as skates to glide along the surface of the grounds. It would be a smooth getaway if everything went according to plan. Plus she could still fight with these weapons in the meantime if need be.

********************
Evvie vs. Aurelia (Match 1)
********************

Evvie walked excitedly over to the hooded figure with a scythe. This newcomer appeared to know how to fight based on how tough she looked. This could end up a fun encounter after all.

"I'm Evvie," she introduced herself, pointing to her chest with her right thumb. "Are you fighter? Want to fight?" Her tone of voice and body language clearly revealed her eagerness like a kid in a candy store. "No killing, just to night night." Night night, of course, being KO, but she forgot the proper term for it so hoped her point would come across anyways. "If yes, you can make first move."

Upon saying this she took a battle stance, bending her knees slightly, facing her with her left side in front, and fists raised in front of her chest. Her green scaled tail wagged back and forth as she waited for the response.

Aurelia vs Evvie - Match #1

...Alright. Not the biggest genius I've met, Aurelia thought while looking at the stranger from under her hood. The dragonness couldn't see it, but her right eyebrow was raised and her mouth set in a slightly amused smirk that could best be translated into something like "are you serious?" She almost let out a chuckle but decided against it. It wouldn't do to reveal herself as paying attention to her just yet. For if she did then knowing that she even so much as cared about her would likely give her an edge.

After all, the best attack is the one that comes without warning. She looked down at the one obviously called Evvie and gave her a sweeping glance. Strong, evidently, with a tail for balance and possibly ways to use it for defense. That's not to mention her wings; it would be difficult to use the air to her advantage when this Evvie could fly herself.

So how best to beat her... She took a few think before she came to a decision.

With a small flex of her mind she brought into being an image of herself with the scythe raised charging in from the sidelines, yet still in Evvie's line of sight. While doing so, she let herself and her scythe disappear in a small flash of black light. If all went as planned, and she had a feeling it would given how Evvie hadn't shown any large amount of intelligence yet (who walks up to someone and asks if they want to fight?), so the illusion should distract her while she created some distance; reappearing about twenty meres away, to Evvie's other side and out of her line of sight.

Now the question is, does she believe the illusion is real and expect it to actually hurt her, or will she realise that it's nothing but an image. She stood with the scythe in her hand, waiting to see what would happen to her illusion.

Cellinli Lienfeld vs. Niks (Match 1)

Niks turned to face the woman fully. A debate was going in his slightly tilted head over what to do with the woman. It was not whether he'd ignore her or not, that part was an easy one. Her presence here would also solve another problem after all. No, it was how to approach her without, her fidgeting hardly hidden, spooking her. That probably would spook her anyway, which meant he would have to take the initiative and attack first. What would he'd use first though? Something to prevent her from running away....Numbness or convulsions then. Wait, she hadn't react further upon seeing him, that would meant she's not with that group. A little hospitality might help regardless of it spooking her or not.

"Greetings," he said. "You don't get much visitor here...Let alone at this time...Do come in...before something unpleasant visit."

Ryomi Fiett Leitannia vs. Bloodshot (Match 1)

A tennis ball sized globe of energy traveling a thousand feet per second, give or take a few hundred, would do a lot more damage than any fastball. So much more, in fact, that any human getting struck by it would probably be lucky just to keep their body intact for the funeral. Of course, there was always the option of cremation. Which would thankfully make the point moot.

Unless, of course, the aforementioned energy globe didn't transfer kinetic energy like normal matter did, which Bloodshot realized must have been the case when his right hand snapped up to "catch" the small blue globe. He'd allowed the momentum of his strike to carry him full circle, and when his eyes caught sight of the attack he reacted on instinct, he didn't have time to think it through. Only after the orb struck his hand did he realize how close he'd been to breaking every bone in it, or at least making it sting for the next three days. A projectile traveling at that velocity should have hit ten times harder than it did, but for some reason this girl was pulling her punches. That puzzled him for a moment before realization dawned.

She thought he was just a human. Wearing some fancy armor, sure, but just a plain old human nonetheless. At least she used to. The fact that he'd even been able to react to the orb told her he was a lot faster than any normal human, but at this point that would be all she knew. Smiling slightly beneath his mask, he shook his hand as the little blue ball disappeared, as though to wring out the sting left behind by catching it. In reality, he'd barely felt the impact, but the less she knew about what he could do, the better.

The staff in his left hand retracted, and he straightened from his knees-bent, muscles-tense, ready-for-anything stance. "Neat trick. You're faster than the reports claimed. Care to come down here and make his an even fight? Not all of us can run away into the sky, you know."

Ryomi Fiett Leitannia vs. Bloodshot (Match 1)
********************

The combination of his armor and faster than expected movement speed and reactions allowed him to catch the energy ball. With his armor able to protect against the destructive force of the energy, the actual physical impact did little damage. Despite it's larger size, the energy had less mass than a bullet, which was far more dense than her energy was. Of course she could make her energy more dense if she wanted to obliterate him, but that would take more charge time to compress the energy and she didn't exactly want to resort to that yet, even if she was able to somehow only catch him in the blast. It could be possible that his armor would take most of the force and would leave everything else untouched even if she did sent out a powerful attack, but there was still the problem of missing. She'd have to tread carefully either way.

"Don't listen to his taunts," her sister ordered.

"But if I beat him with my sword that would eliminate all possibility of collateral damage," Ryomi explained.

"This man is fast and strong, the extent of which we don't know. It's too dangerous."

Grr. Ryomi gritted her teeth. Her sister had a good point, and they did share a body after all, so it wouldn't be fair to entirely disregard her advice. But she had a point too! She hovered in mid air for a bit, watching her opponent for any sudden movements while pondering her situation.

"Stop pouting. I can hear your thoughts, even if it's not directed at me," her sister said, interrupting her inner monologue. "But I can see what this means to you. If we end up killing innocents we'd be worse off than being dead. I can respect that...okay, here's the deal. Let's mind switch me into direct control. I'll use my sword fighting experience and see what we can do against him, but if this vessel of mine gets killed, once we can find a way into a new one you owe me a drink; a big one. And...all you can eat fish tacos."

"Fine, fine," Ryomi responded. Using their deep connection between one another she could feel her body become numb and then turn as if nonexistent, in return allowing her sister that spot. "Alright, now get going sis!" She demanded.

Ryomi (as she will still be called), flew quickly down to the skyscaper, her feet touching the ground 10 feet away from him as she came to a smooth stop. Her large meat cleaver looking sword was now in her right hand, pointed at him. She didn't make any other move, waiting to see how quickly he could approach. Unlike her sister Ryomi, she had a tactical mind and would certainly be using it to her advantage here, even if she had to handicap herself to please her sister.

********************
Cellinli Lienfeld vs. Niks (Match 1)
********************

She let out a little yelp as the two eyeballs, most likely attached to something else hiding in the shadows but you never know, started speaking to her. The words themselves weren't menacing, but that doesn't mean he or his surroundings didn't give off such an aura regardless. It was also likely a male's voice, her admittedly irrational fear, yet a fear all the same. There was no way he was getting her into that building.

"Actually, I'm just passing through and have little time to waste. You see, I'm visiting my brother in an adjacent town and can't be late." Ah, what could she say about her brother. She had worked up the courage to get in the same room as him for extended periods for family get togethers, and even let him hug her on a couple of occasions, but he'd often mess with her as punishment for being late. Sneaking up behind her and ruffling her hair, for example. Even from her brother that was terrifying. She couldn't afford to be late for this meeting, just like she couldn't afford to go inside with this strange monster. She'd have to either defeat him quickly or run away quickly.

"So anyways, see ya later, he he," she nervously laughed as she finished. She began to briskly walk away from him to continue along the path. During the conversation she had finished her "skates", so if she attached them to her feet she could get away rather quickly. Or she could use them to defend herself and fight if he proved too difficult to get away from. Hopefully he didn't force her hand.

********************
Evvie vs. Aurelia (Match 1)
********************

Evvie jerked to the side as something caught her attention out of the corner of her eye; a new figure that had appeared as if out of nowhere and was now rushing in. Actually, by new figure it was the same figure as the one she had just been speaking too, only she was now in two places at once! Or was this one an evil twin? Or maybe the original was the evil twin? Actually, maybe there were no evil twins after all and it was more than likely something else. Her head would hurt if she tried to figure this out from such little information she had going for her and she didn't have the time regardless. There was a battle to be fought, and most battles could be won simply by smashing them before they could smash you, not standing around thinking about useless facts. She'd show her for using cheap tactics like...whatever this was?!

She sprung into action, quite literally, towards the approaching figure as she got within range for such an action. She didn't know how strong this person could hit so would have to assume a swing from that scythe could be deadly. As such she would try to grab a hold of the handle with her left hand and yank it out of her grip while she punched her across the face with her right fist. If this person defended herself before she could get in safely to deal with the scythe than she'd have no choice but to flap her wings to get overhead of any swings and come down from behind, stomping downward onto her head.

He moved forward slowly, one step at a time, until he was just beyond the reach of her blade. "Well well well, who do we have here?" The question was a probing one, and half rhetorical as well. He didn't honestly expect an answer from the girl, but the change in her demeanor had been too sudden and too obvious to miss. A moment ago she had been uncertain of herself, fumbling over his false proclamation to confess and how she should handle the situation, but now she was the very epitome of the confident warrior, completely sure of herself regardless of the opponent she faced. There was no way this was the same girl that had arrived on the scene.

Or, he supposed, she might just be a very skilled actress. Though if that were the case, the sudden change in tactics still didn't make sense. Either way, he'd have to find out what this new side of her was capable of before it could surprise him in a much more lethal way. He hated that kind of surprise. Unless he was the one giving it, of course.

His right foot stepped back and the retracted staff in his hand came up in a loose mockery of a traditional fencer stance, and he tapped the staff lightly against the flat of her blade.

*ting!*

Assuming she didn't then decide to launch her own "counterattack", he drew the staff back to it's starting position a few inches away from the sword blade. "Are you sure you want to do this, girl?" He didn't wait for her response before snapping the still retracted staff back toward the blade, this time hard enough to elicit an electrical jolt on impact. Not enough to cause real harm even if the sword was entirely conductive, but enough to numb the arm slightly if that was the case. Or at least give the muscles a good twitch. Either way, he would soon know if the sword had proper insulation or not. Most did not.

Aurelia smirked, raising a hand as she slowly started gathering power. She was in no rush, seeing as the Dragonness hadn't so much as reacted to her presence behind her. Not the cleverest, are you? She would have chuckled if not for the fact that it would likely give her position away, even from a twenty metres distance. Instead, she simply let her smirk widen into a smile, then a small grin.

The illusion continued charging at Evvie, holding its scythe high. Then, when close enough, it swung downwards, impacting with Evvie's hand trying to grab it, and dissolved into smoke. The rest of the body followed, dissolving into nothing but a black smoke that lightly obscured Evvie's vision for a second or two. But those seconds were all that Aurelia needed. From her position behind Evvie, she fired an orb of dark energy aimed at the back of her head. She hadn't put too much power into it, choosing instead to try and gauge her strength.

The ball flew forward at rapid speeds, Aurelia watching it and Evvie with a calculating look.

Ryomi Fiett Leitannia vs. Bloodshot (Match 1)
********************

Ryomi let out a short yelp as a small flow of electricity entered into her arms. It didn't take long at all to figure out what happened, so she had to rectify the situation before an even deadlier electric jolt found it's way into her body. She sprung backwards, floating along the way just above the ground as she continued her tactical retreat while facing his direction and keeping her sword in front of her just in case he decided to charge at her and attack. In the meantime she began to use her spirit powers to quickly coat her blade in an insulating layer of bluish purple energy. It also made it even more durable than it normally was, but that buff to her weapon seemed a tad like overkill due to how durable it already was. Then again she wasn't one to underestimate opponents like her younger sister.

Evvie vs. Aurelia (Match 1)
********************

Just when she thought she had her, she vanished in a puff of smoke, much to her dismay. She blinked a couple of times as if to make sure her eyes weren't deceiving her, but before she could manage anything else there was a sudden eruption of pain in the back of her skull, forcing her tumbling forward and landing onto her hands and knees. Unfortunately her high defenses didn't work quite as well against attacks magical in nature, so luckily this was low power or else she would have been toast.

She managed to stop tears from welling in her eyes as she turned around in the direction of the attack and got onto her feet. Her face clearly showed that she was about to cry despite her best efforts.

"Big meanie," she said under her breath, rubbing the back of her head with her right hand. Somehow this person had gotten behind her at one point or another, either teleportation or perhaps one of the evil clones of some sort from before.

To avenge herself she let out a battle cry and charged her position, hoping the same thing didn't happen to her once again. She had the same plan, use her left hand to stop the scythe and her right to slug this girl in her face.

And there she goes again. This new version of the girl was much more hesitant than he would have thought she'd be. She'd been all confidence and swagger not two seconds ago, and now she was running away. Again.

"You're a lot more skittish than I thought you'd be." He dropped out of his combat stance and began a nice, slow walk toward her. Best not to frighten her with any sudden movements. "You've got a huge sword, can shoot little balls of energy out of your hands, get to fly around all day like supergirl, create shimmery forcefields with your brain, and you're still scared stiff of little ol' me, huh?" He held his hands out in a placating gesture. "I suppose it's too much to ask for you to take some initiative? Like I said before, not all of us can fly."

Cellinli Lienfeld vs. Niks (Match 1)
"Regardless..... you came in an awful timing," Niks replied, a gob of green goo started to form in his free hand. "It's easy to get lost at this time of the day."

The skeleton aimed to hit the lost traveler in the head as she showed her back to him before noticing that a thick fog was starting to settle around them and the town itself. Before Niks could send the hex that hopefully would prevent the woman from getting away, she had already disappeared from his sight as the fog swallowed her. He let out a silent curse but didn't do anything to chase as who knows what the fog hid.

Evvie vs Aurelia - Match 1

Aurelia was starting to get disappointed. This Dragonness was strong, yes, but she was abnormally stupid. She'd blindly charged at her clone and received due punishment in the form of her attack hitting the back of her head. And now? Now she was doing it again; charging headfirst against someone who had shown themselves capable of disappearing in thin air.

While she was indeed very quick, she still wasn't quite as fast as Aurelia herself. She stood still as the dragoness charged, waiting and watching.

A few seconds passed and when Evvie was almost upon her, Aurelia turned on her heel a 90 degrees and jumped backwards - to Evvie's right -, effectively bringing herself out of harm's way. At the same time she charged up another blast of energy and fired it at near point-blank range, this one with at least twice the power of the first one.

She didn't care that he was taunting her. In fact it was a good sign. A cocky opponent is quite often a dead one. Plus he did nothing to stop her from completing the energy coating on her blade. Just as he was talking about no initiative she moved in close to him at speeds reaching 40 miles an hour, swinging her weapon horizontally from right to left at neck level as she got within range, her power likely enough to cleave straight through his armor and his neck like butter. If her plan would work then that would shut him up real quick. Her sister might not like the fatality, but she'd get over it. This man, if what he said earlier was to be believed, was a menace to society equally or more so to almost any evil spirit she had encountered.

********************
Cellinli Lienfeld vs. Niks (Match 1)
********************

The appearance of a sudden fog freaked her out, as it was, at least in her mind, almost certainly the result of ghosts or the supernatural of evil inclination. In this circumstance her assumption was actually true and this really was a ghost town to be feared. If she wasn't very careful she'd end up a ghost as well. Being careful in a fog was proving difficult, however. If she reached any sort of high speed she nearly crashed into an unseen obstacle every time, only barely leaving herself enough time to react and swerve out of the way. Sometimes it was fallen tree branches, sometimes rubble, somehow all appearing as if out of thin air specifically to block her escape. As luck would have it, or bad luck in her case, she ended up somehow reversing course, which she only realized when she spotted the same flaming eyes as before.

She skidded to a halt on her blades, then detached them from her boots and wielded them in her hands. She was getting nowhere fast with all this running around. Rather than tire herself out, she'd put her strength to good use by taking out whoever's responsible for this. For all she knew it was this fowl being, and even if he wasn't it would still help to take him out so he wouldn't be a threat later on, or to possibly get information out of him if he does happen to know who could be creating this fog. For now she'd ask a question, just in the off chance he'd be willing to answer, and then she'd attack if it wasn't satisfactory.

"Do you know who's creating this fog?"

Evvie vs. Aurelia (Match 1)
********************

Evvie's eyes traced her opponent as she leapt to her right. This girl was fast; much faster than expected to completely get out of attack range when she was nearly on top of her. Despite that surprise attack this battle was beginning to get a bit fun again. In a game of cat and mouse Evvie was clearly the cat, so it was up to her to try and catch her. If that happened Evvie was confident she could win decisively. But of course the catching is the tricky part judging by the speed of that dodge just now.

Despite not being the sharpest crayon in the box she does recognize a charging magical spell when she sees one, being in a lot of fights over the years, so it was in her best interest to get dodging as soon as possible. She allowed herself to drop to the ground in the empty space where her opponent had been standing and where she was planning on punching, so it wasn't hard to let her already swinging momentum swing her on downward. It was still a close call as the energy whizzed past the nape of her neck, messing up her hair beyond what any bad hair day could result in, although that was the least of her worries. This split second dodge caused her no backup plan on how to deal with the aftermath, so she was on a collision path with the earth and landed ungracefully on her stomach with a thud. She turned her head and breathed out a small torrent of fire as an attempt to perhaps ward off any attempt to take advantage of her vulnerable position until she could get back onto her feet.
