Also:
"Tartaric" is a type of acid that you find in bananas and stuff like that. It's a million times weaker than the acid the creature uses, but it sounds like "Tartarus", and it just fits with a cat-sized, eight legged freak creature that eats you alive xD

@Reap:: If anybody ever touched my eyes I would straight up punch them in the chest and tear their still beating heart out. I have an OCD thing about my eyes, I can't do contacts, I can't handle eyelashes poking them, and I'll never do lasic. They would have to drug me, to sign the waiver for the real drugs, to get me to sign the waiver for eye surgery, or to do anything to them. Scotomaphobia, the fear of going blind. I got poked in the eye during an altercation once, I became very, very violent.

On a happier note, surgery isn't all bad, I had my foot worked on, got a nice screw in it haha. But it's still a maybe for my shoulder, apparently I have *debri* in my shoulder. Whoo. Whatever that is because they don't really know.

Heh. I can't watch surgery scenes in movies anymore because after you go under the knife four times for your eye you start to get nightmares.

On a happier note, going blind isn't all bad. *winks* Though I am glad the issues were caught in time. Not that I'll ever be able to see properly, but the lack of vision has increased my other senses quite a bit ^^

I've been under twice. Having all four of your wisdom teeth cut out is boat loads of fun, and the screw in my foot. If I went blind I wouldn't make it lol, that would be it for me.

Any creatures or plants you creature will be part of the "refuge science division" unless otherwise specified, there is no actual purpose to this other than it being aesthetically pleasing.

So I had a dream last night that might be a neat addition to the rp. Just a suggestion tho:
A group of people who work by the sea that support this onslaught or apocalypse believing god or some other deity brought this onto them for paradise. (Think Claudia from Silent Hill) and take ceremony in drinking water to become 'sentinels' of paradise. Those who don't partake of the water stitch together the infected into long lines of hellish beings. Almost trying to create a type of embodiment of the demon Legion if you will.

I dont have any details, like I said i got inspired from a dream. With so much else going on with the rp already I know this would probably be overkill.

@levi. Good post, it seems fine to me but i need to state something again. Animals will not infect characters, only water or other infected.

Also i do not need surgery.

I will get a post up soon, saturday at the latest though i may work on it a bit tonight. My lady came down and leaves saturday afternoon.

Hope it's okay if I postpone editing my post until tomorrow, my class ended today and everyone decided to barrage me with phone calls/emails at once, I just feel... weirdly exhausted in that introvert sort of way, if that makes sense?

Also, I'm totally the same way about my eyes. I prefer the way I look with glasses anyway, but I just don't feel comfortable with putting in contacts. It's bad enough that when you get an eye exam, they do that thing where they blow air into them, and if you flinch/blink too soon they have to do it over, and over, and over again... D: I actually had a recurring nightmare between age 4-5, it was my face in profile and a knife/sword just came towards me at eye level in slow motion.... Aaagh, I'm getting all creeped out just thinking about it.

Hey fire, I'm not sure if you're aware but there's kind of an unspoken rule. Normally role plays are done in 'rounds' , meaning the GM goes - then everybody else posts, and waits for the gm approval. This is so nobody gets life behind and nobody gets confused about what characters are on what days. Meaning if In my post, I forward it to morning, everyone usually follows suite in some way.

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I'd like to ask you to refrain from double posting unless absolutely necessary, again this is so nobody gets left behind, swamped with IC posts, or generally confused as to what time it is in the IC. If you want a constant dialogue and character interaction you will need to collab. There are some great resources out there to do so, and google docs is just one good method.

To balance out this restriction I'm allowing post edits, and any length necessary to get your character from the point they are, to the point and time they need to be, albeit I hope it is done reasonably and not filled with useless, story-less nonsense. Don't worry about it this time, just remember to wait for the next "round". Again, I may move time quickly at certain parts, but you're allowed to write as much as you need to get your character caught up.

Actually this gives me an idea. They could be stitching them over the bodies of larger beasts to armor them before they're unleashed onto the Refuge
Meaning the corpses would fall off the body the more you attack them, then not only are you dealing with the beast but with the corpses stitched over them. Could be a really big threat.
