Often attempting it would require extremely good reflexes, a higher amount of speed than your enemy, and also a LOT more strength than your enemy if you don't want to hurt your arm attempting it... As well as your face or whatever other intended target they were punching in the direction of... If you know for sure you're WAY beyond someone physically, and need to prove a point, then I guess it might be worth it to try, but only really then...
