All players have to post at least once every two weeks, before the 13th and the 27th every month.

It’s been 200 years since tragedy struck.

The hegemony of angels over the human world, the Surface, was over. The world became unstable. The very Essence, the fabric of all living things, changed. Creatures that were never possible before suddenly became possible. Chaos was threatening to set in when something extraordinary happened. The person responsible for it all was Judas Iscariot, the Tyrant aiming to eradicate all non-human existence. Angels and demons were savagely persecuted and killed at sight, their long-lasting despise for each other making their resistance weak and fragile against the sheer masses of humanity. As their numbers plummeted, their despair rose. It was just a matter of time until they would be all just a distant memory.

But not all humans agreed with Judas’ plans. Some were prepared to fight to bring order back, and were prepared for the ultimate sacrifice – their very soul. Thus a small group of humans, demons and angels teamed up in order to stop the rule of the Tyrant . They combined their power, their very existence, and surrendered parts of their soul in order to combine the remains with those of others’. The new creatures were called chimeras by some and nephilim by others, but in essence they were simply the most capable race of them all.

But not all-powerful. And not invincible.

As they broke though Judas’ army, killing left, right and center, the nephilim finally reached the center of his stronghold. Inside, the fate of the whole world was decided. Judas fell and his most prised possession – the Essence of the World, was retrieved. A sword, born from the flesh, tears and blood of thousands upon thousands of men and women, a sword, capable of altering the very fabric of existence, a sword that was once a woman herself. With the combined knowledge of all races and the help of the last Gatekeeper, Luciana, the Essence was persuaded to disband.

And thus, a new age began. An age where the mightiest creature in existence herself surrendered her power to humans children and the rule of the strongest over the weakest was over….

… or was it?

--------------

So, for the curious, the quick answer is – no, it wasn’t. ;p

Things are far from stable, although some semblance of balance was regained in the past 200 years. In short, we have 4 major races, each with its own perks and drawbacks. Angels are most organized and specialize in a few major groups, listed on the site. Demons are mostly selfish and can rarely be classed – unlike angels they can also use magic. Finally, there’s humans who are in between and can also use magic (they’re easy to influence into turning into something non-human – grey angels and surface demons).

Major points:
Magic doesn’t alter space and time, can’t create matter and can’t change someone’s personality, unless its root is an Instrument and the wielder – a Musician.
Essence is in everything alive – consider it something like a spirit, an aura and a life force. Demons can utilize that essence (by taking/eating it from other creatures, mostly) where angels only utilize their own for their work. Humans, as always, are in-between. Chimeras are an option of combining elements of all 3. In physical form essence presents itself in flesh, bone, blood, tears and so on.

The Roles:

Angels, Demons, Chimeras:

Angels and demons are still pretty weakened by all the past events but now they have struck a balance in power. Most of them agree to the Chain of Vengeance, a system whereby whenever a life is taken from one side, the other has the right to react by taking a life back. The ones who don’t subscribe to that belief are called Renegades and are usually hunted down by any of the 4 races.

My picking one of those races you’re choosing to be either free-lance good, free-lance bad (Renegade) or as belonging to one of the many ogranisations/sects dedicated to whatever purpose and have a more sandbox type of experience. The creation of those will be up to willing players.

Humans:

As mentioned, the Essence of the World was shattered into a million tiny pieces, all holding immense power and that power was given to the humans. The pieces take on the shapes of musical instruments and their abilities range widely, the most powerful of it being the altering of matter and IPC (involuntary personality change) which occurs when the instruments are played masterfully. However, power comes at a price and for the adolescents who want to master the Instruments, the price could be sanity. As the Instruments themselves hold the remains of countless angel, human and demon souls, they cannot be mastered without leaving an imprint on the bearer’s soul. The teachings are carefully monitored in Master Melody’s Academy of Fine Arts but accidents couldn’t be avoided. Many of the students go insane and all are never the same as they were to begin with. Upon their graduation the Masters are tasked with the protection of peace and order – to hunt down the Renegade and prevent them from reincarnating ever again by reaping their soul and absorbing it forever in their instruments.

If you want to play as one of the Academy, you can expect to have some missions given to you by random people (not necessarily the GM) and you should be generally trustworthy enough to be admitted. (That doesn’t mean you couldn’t have sneaked in and still be a psycho bastard, obviously). Also, feel free to explore the topic of inner voices and insanity with that role, or even things with a slice of life or school life tinge.

Other roles for a human are either a powerless individual, one that specializes in weaponry or magicians.

The site/ Homework:

Pretty much everything but the Characters and Council parts are the same sill. Pretty much everything but the Characters and Council parts are the same sill. You don't have to read it all but it helps if you want to have a better idea about what it's all about. :)
There’s no section for Chimeras as those haven’t been fully explored just yet.

NB: Both sites are a bit outdated where the first one is the one for Season 1 and the second one is for Season 2-A (which got terminated) Some of the characters are making a comeback but mostly you can ignore that section on both sites. The second one has some additional info, however if anything is contradicting to the first site, we stick mostly to the first as the original. Some nice summaries by the old team.

RACIAL SUMMARY

Demons: With their robust monopoly on magical arts, innumerable demonic kinds, and a perpetual hunger for essence to fuel their ritualistic evolution, the demons of Hell bring a frightening amount of dread to the table. What they lack in high quality essence, they make up for in their finesse in essence manipulation (life-energy based magic, essentially). Their evolution ritual is always a gamble, though: if they have not consumed enough essence, they risk dying and returning to the Void to await another chance to respawn on the Surface. That being said, demons should never be underestimated as they almost always have a way out of trouble.
There are two types of demons – Hellions and Surface demons. As the name implies, the first reside in the underworld, while the latter – on the human plane, simply called “Surface”. However, this is not the only difference between them – there is a stark contrast between their abilities too. With very few exceptions the Hellions are a lot more diverse and stronger while the Surface demons are basically possessed humans. Surface demons can evolve like their hellion brothers, however typically they are weak werewolves and vampires.

Angels: In stark contrast to demons, angels have the purest, highest quality of essence. Their auras are so forceful and overwhelming that it is a sight to behold; only fools disregard an angel's presence. Fewer in number, the angels possess extraordinary biological abilities, which to some might seem like magic. But angels cannot wield magic, at least not in the flexible way that humans and demon do. Regardless, with their powerfully trained angelic classes, especially Weather Angels, the winged forces of Heaven are not easily defeated, especially in large groups.
Angels strongly resemble humans in physical appearance save for their wings that hold their angelic essence and the memories of their past lives. Should those wings be detached from their bodies the angels revert back to being human and are called “Fallen”.

Humans: Let's be blunt here, humans can be weak and strong; dumb and wise. Yet they remain a force to be reckoned with; they always have and always will be. Their essence is far richer than demons’, yet not too rigid for them to use magic (unlike angels). They are the most numerous and can also have offspring, unlike their supernatural "cousins." They have the most potential to become highly effective, but it is a long journey with no promises of reward at the end. Such is our struggle, but therein lies our greatest strength: determination.

TECHNOLOGICAL & MAGICAL SUMMARY

1. Technology is for the most part modern day with a hint of some futuristic gadgets and such. Certain individuals and secret organizations are on the rise to using advance technology to combat the supernatural. As such, magitek is starting to become a bit more commonplace.

2. Magic is based around essence. What is essence? Essence is the mysterious entity that is the source of everything keeping this world together. It can't be created or destroyed, just manipulated and used for a variety of things, that I guess for all intents and purposes we should call magic. Essence is everywhere, it's within all living beings and is in all inanimate objects. Yet each of the three main races (angel, human, demon) utilize essence in different ways simply due to their biology. I encourage all of you to utilize creative magic around the broad rules of each race.

Angels: Angels cannot manipulate essence around themselves. Instead what they must rely on is the potent essence that is unique for them alone, hence the description that they have a “holy” aura around them. Angels are already physically strong so the majority of magic is defensive in nature. Using a lot of healing, illusion and protective magic, not to say that offensive is impossible for an Angel. Far from it, but it is more common for Angels to have more defensive magic than anything else.

Demons: The polar opposite of angels. Their own inner essence is rather bland in comparison to that of an angel or even a human. To compensate for this weakness, they manipulate the essence around them for a variety of mostly offensive magical spells (such as generic fireballs and lightning combination). Once again, this is not strictly limited to offensive magic, this is just the norm for demons. The demon lords of Hell, for example, have far more at their disposal. Additionally, with their longer life spans, demons generally have greater knowledge and experience with magic than humans.

Humans: Humanity, for the most part, have not been able to use magic for most of their history. Their very bodies form a barrier between humanity and access to its own inward essence, with only a small handful of humans having been able to cross that barrier throughout time. However, with the fall of the final gate (Hell's Gate) 200 years ago, the balance of essence has gone out of whack and has been slowly shifting. This has resulted in mankind having greater access to their own essence for magical purposes, albeit it's still incredibly difficult. Humans, have a strong essence within themselves like angels, but instead, humans use it to mix with the essence of the outside world, making a diverse of magic very possible for humans. Think of it like a form of alchemy or chemistry: mixing one's own essence with some other kind of essence to basically form a magical cocktail of sorts.

--------------

Alright guys, I’ll probably have to flesh this out further at some point but for now I’ll give you the draft so we can start soon-ish and you have something to work with. (especially ClosetNerd)

The Academy

Master Melody’s Academy for Fine Arts is one of the playable options, organisation-wise. It’s going to be, as I see it (and unless someone else has other suggestions) the only playable option if you expect some structure like missions and involuntarily formed teams and such. Also, if you want a somewhat more lighthearted school-like setting (with the bonus of murders! xD).

The missions/events will be up to everyone to offer – it gives you the opportunity to be a temporary GM much like being a teacher and giving the students your own tasks or challenges to complete your course. You could do that either by entering a teacher NPC or PC or just by being a narrator (say, kids are out on a field trip and you enter a bad-guy that attacks them; or one of the students has reoccurring dreams which turn out to be a demon possession; or someone gets murdered etc.). Just post in the OOC that you have an idea and you don’t even have to consult me and give me the outline, as long as it’s within the universe limits – I’d like to be kept in the dark as it’ll give me the sense of adventure as well, as a player and not as a GM. I will, of course, also come up with such events/missions so we’ll try to keep it interesting (until someone breaks in and decides to kill all the kids there xp).

Anyway, what is the Academy? As I’ve mentioned, it’s a place where kids learn to master a piece of the (near-)almighty Essence of the World. Learn, because the Essence is the combined soul and life-fragments of millions of angels, demons and humans, all their combined knowledge, experience and… feelings. To put it mildly, it’s an assault to the senses.

So, because no one can really prepare the kids for that, yet their power is needed, the teachers at the Academy are a variety of creatures from all over the place. The apprentices, however, are exclusively human. That’s because while humans are most susceptible to essence influence, they also have the potential to be the most resilient.

So, many things about this I’m leaving open intentionally because I want to let you guys flesh it out with me. Such are the questions – “is it in the city or out of it”, “does it have a dormitory”, “is there an entrance exam and what is it”, “how does the madness of the instruments work” among others. I’m not bothered about giving you strict rules, guidelines, a map of the Academy and a time-table – it’s still mostly up to you what you want to mention while you write. There are some things we do need to decide on, though, such as what age-group we’re aiming at. I haven’t decided on that so anyone interested in being an apprentice can express their preference.

As for the weapons themselves, it’s again up to you players to decide what you want your shards of the Essence to be like. They can have a developed personality, or many, or just offer occasional flashbacks, or cause mood-swings or leave you drained and impassionate about anything. Go all out – you have full control over the shape, size and personality of your Instruments. The only thing you have to consult me about is the powers, obviously.

Aaaand I think we ought to have a uniform in the Academy. It shall look like this:

(girls can be wearing leggings along with the skirt or they can even wear an adapted version of the male uniform)

Of Masks
…and other things.

So, a neat little new addition to the whole array of things we already have – temporary willing possession. With the various magic and bestowing arts, with the Balance broken (or restored?) and the creation of new, mixed races, comes the opportunity to gain temporary abilities, and discard them. Aka enchanted armor, medallions, amulets, jewelry, clothes, all infused with essence to give them certain properties. They are most compatible with humans (least resistance of the influence) and have to be worn for a few days to take effect (imagine slowly infusing a sponge where the sponge is the human and the liquid comes from the equipment). Additionally the most complete way to gain certain abilities is through a Mask or injection. That way your human (and sometimes non-human) character can literally become something else for a given time. After which, he’s stuck in that shape and form.

The duration and extent of the possession will mostly depend on your choice – if you play your cards right and don’t step on anyone’s toes by making it OP. Also, obviously, there are risks with inserting a demon in yourself, hence why masks would be generally more… legal. Or should I say, less illegal, than injections. The enchanted items are made by craftsmen who don’t value health and safety rules as much as personal freedom and, well… services of various kinds. >)

Name: Solus Grim Alias/Nickname: Nekro Age: His age is difficult to tell based on his appearance, so he has no truly apparent age. And he doesn't reveal his age either... Race: First Generation Chimera Appearance:
Solus Grim is indeed a strange fellow when it comes to looks. He looks more demonic than most Demons, who prefer to select a more human form so they can blend in among the humans. His body for the most part is humanoid in nature, close enough to be human, yet his face, or his facial disfigurement, is what makes him stand out from the crowd, so to speak. People like to refer to his facial appearance as that of “The Void Guide” himself, a mystical godly figure usually transcribed in religious texts. Though only as a reference for his difficult to describe facial features in a more simple manner. His face consists of sunken in hardened flesh that has an almost rock like texture and strength yet the flexibility of human flesh. It’s structure reveals the man’s skeletal frame of the skull around the eyes and nasal cavity. He has no actual lips, but ones that appear to have been crudely cut out with a blade, creating a zigzag-esque line from one side of the face to the other. But even that is not the most interesting part about it. Green flames burn out of his eye sockets, nasal cavity and mouth almost all the time. The flames themselves are harmless to the touch. His upper torso also has similar mutations, from the chin and down to where his abdominals begin, and down his arms until reaching the elbows. His flesh retains the similar rock like texture in that area, which also seems to act as natural dermal armour, protecting the vital organs while the limbs were ignored during the evolutionary process. The rest of his body retains natural human skin, perhaps the original flesh prior to his physical changes. The man has a muscular, well-toned frame built for combat and punishment. His skin has a strange colour of ash grey. His right shoulder, is etched with a large glyphic tattoo from the collar bone down to half way down the bicep, that seems to emanate magical energies, only detectable by those with a keener and savvier eye of those with expertise in the Arcane. The man also towers at a tall 6 foot 2 inches. He also has a set of large black wings that appear to be reminiscent of a Falcon, which he can hide inside his body at will. These wings have a total span of 22 feet. Enormous in comparison to the wings of even the largest spans that Angels wield. His attire makes him stand out even more. He is always dressed in black, wherever he goes. And it’s always in a stylish black leather trench coat covered in more buckles and belts than a gimp outfit of a BDSM club patron, to the point where it looks like a very expensive strait-jacket. Whether it’s for weapon concealment or style is unknown, perhaps it’s for both. After all, an infamous hunter like him needs to look both intimidating and badass at the same time or just outright silly and impractical in some people’s eyes. Though little do those people know that that jacket is layered in thin Kevlar. Underneath that, he wears a light Kevlar vest that can be easily concealed, even under a tailored tuxedo, to protect his vitals even more. The trench coat can’t stop everything, so that additional layer only adds to Solus’ sense of physical security. And below that all is a simple BDU t-shirt. Finally, adding to the outfit, a pair of baggy leather combat pants and steel toed combat boots to match. Social Status: Solus’ true affiliation to any faction is truly unknown despite his infamy. 180 years ago, among Angels he was seen as a dangerous anarchist and terrorist, while Demons across Hell saw him as a powerful mortal who proved not only his mettle, but the true potential of Chimeric kind in a duel to the death against the now deceased Demon Lord of the North, Mephistopheles. Humans on the other hand, have barely heard of him. Those who have only know the story of how he singlehandedly defeated Mephisto, and before his disappearance, was one of the heroes who killed Judas, but even those legends are convoluted and blurred in the histories. Now-a-days, he's a myth, who disappeared after Judas' death, never to be seen again. Relations: It has been 180 years, all of his former contacts are most likely dead. General Activity: People once believed that Solus Grim intended to banish both the Angels and Demons from the Surface world, and his actual reasons, motivations and goals are still unknown to this day. And what he has been doing for the past 180 years is yet another mystery. Abilities: Solus is both an incredibly powerful Necromancer and Blood Mage by trade. His Necromantic abilities revolve around manipulating the dead, death, and the essence of the dead. Solus can also communicate with the deceased on some simple level – by taking what is left of their essence and containing it in a storage unit, and partial mixing that essence with his for a temporary amount of time – for the purpose of divination, imparting the means to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge. Many practitioners find a way to cheat Death one way or other, whether by becoming some form of undead creature or by bypassing their own ability to die. Solus on the other hand, uses this ability to create monsters, raising the dead and twisting, changing the corpses into horrifying monsters that are bound to his will (The twisting and changing of the body requires a dash of blood magic). The monsters range in shape and strength based on the essence that was collected, the weaker the essence, the weaker the monster, and vice versa. Zombies are the easiest to raise and do not even require blood magic. Solus’ Blood Magic abilities revolve around his own blood and the blood other living things. Blood is important in magic because it represents life force at its most basic nature. By capturing the evaporating essence of a dying body, Solus can dramatically improve the energy of his spells by linking them to the mana of the body. This augmented energy allows the spell to be more powerful but it is also more demanding on him, since he must control the fabrics of the spell and tie it simultaneously to the mana of the dying Soul. An important component of Blood Magic is the essence in the results it can produce. The sacrifice can't carry more power that the essence it allows it to carry. In context, the essence makes the magic happen, if the essence is weak, it will barely help in the casting of the spell, with more energy needed to be of some use. If the essence is strong, it will produce a more powerful and volatile spell than anticipated, with less energy required. Solus usually sacrifices his own blood to enhance his offensive spells, slowly weakening himself with each spell he casts. He does not use blood magic for conjuring or for rituals, but simply as a fuel. A fuel that kindles magic his essence simply cannot cast on its own, such as standard Arcane spells, or temporarily enhancing his own weapons, or drain the life force of others to heal himself in battle. There are 4 different levels of power of such spells. Minor, Medium, Major, and Sacrificial. Minor, Medium, and Major are as their name states. They feed on the amount of life force based on their name, taking a certain amount of energy from the caster in order to cast a spell of destructive or defensive equal to the amount of energy consumed. Minor spells need little life force, Medium spells need a decent amount of life force, Mayor spells need a considerable amount of life force. Sacrificial blood magic requires a death of a living creature to cast. Where an Arcane spell would need 12 mages and a powerful pylon to cast it, Blood Magic could cast that same spell with a single sacrifice. Solus is mostly against sacrificial spells using innocents as fuel, but he does use them with the life force of his dead foes as a method of gaining a vast advantage in a fight against a large wave of enemies. Solus also has Angelic and Demonic powers. His Angelic abilities appear to be that of a powerful battle angel, which are his great physical strength, seemingly endless endurance and fast regeneration, no matter the wound. While his demonic abilities are limited to not necessarily a power, but a physical mutation. At will he can spew a black tar like substance from every hole in his body, and shadowy tendrils appear from his back. This substance is a highly infectious demonic disease that mutates humans, angels and demons alike into seeming brainless, shambling monsters that spread this disease by drowning their victims by puking the same substance down their throats. Solus rarely, very rarely, ever uses this... ability. Mostly due to moral concerns. Equipment: Please take note that Solus CANNOT bring all this gear with him. He will have to pick and choose items out of his arsenal based on their weight and how much he can carry without losing his agility and mobility.
Personality: He is a man who lives his life on the edge, and cocky with an ego the size of the Sun. But he has the skill to justify his egotistical nature and his undefeated and unchallenged streak as one of the most infamous and successful Demon Hunters in the world, both in Hell and the Surface alike. Though his ego only truly surfaces on the battlefield, where he will be throwing sarcastic and insulting remarks at any opponents with half a brain to both understand and get offended by them, with the sole purpose to piss them off just enough for them to start making fatal mistakes. Most of the time however, he tries to maintain a stoic, fearless and professional image when conducting business. Whether it’s obtaining new contracts, getting to know new contacts, or simply purchasing equipment from his black market acquaintances. The chimeric man is strong willed and a bit of a workaholic. When he sets his burning eyes on a goal, he will reach it, even if he loses a limb or two. And he almost seemingly lacks any idea of fear, like the emotion was just, carved out of his brain. Of course there are things that he fears, but he has seen so much horror in his life that very few things faze him. It just takes the right touch to get under his skin. Biography: Solus only became well known 202 years prior, when he traveled beyond the Gates of Hell and into the Northern Realm with the intention of slaying the Demon Lord of Pride and War, Mephistopheles. It’s a matter of asking any demon who hails from the North, they will tell you the tale word for word. But those who know it better, are Mephisto’s former advisors, who witnessed the battle between the two with their own eyes. Solus ventured into Hell with a party of three other necromancers like himself, each possessed with an essence of a hellion. Of course, the smell of human flesh in a place like Hell tends to attract a lot of unsavoury characters. The humans forced to battle the way through to Mephisto, though they have only scratched the surface of his vast armies. By the time Solus reached Mephisto, all of his party members had died. Though Solus only reached Mephisto by getting himself captured, and was granted an audience with the Demon Lord. Knowing Mephisto's honourable warrior nature, Solus asked for the Right of Challenge, a right given to any warrior to challenge the Demon Lord (whichever one is currently ruling) in a battle to the death, a tradition within Mephisto's realm. While the other Hellions who witnessed Solus spout the Right verbally protested against it, Mephisto stood up, and scanned the human from head to toe with his eyes, then, to his minions' disbelief, requested that they returned the human's weapons, and that he accepted the challenge. The fight between the two lasted for hours; they tirelessly and relentlessly engaged each other in combat and exchanged powerful blows while Mephisto's minions watched. After several hours of brutal battle, the two were covered in eachother's blood, and both severely wounded, it was when they both briefly stopped fighting just to catch some air when Mephisto said, "Join me, Necromaster. Join me and I could give you the Surface World, Immortality, anything you desire. You have more that proven your power to me. Join me, and we can rule the Three Worlds together!" Solus didn't even answer, but raised his sword for another blow, while Mephisto froze in shock, bewildered that Solus hasn't even bothered to consider his offer. Solus smashed his blade against the top of Mephisto's head, splitting it in two, slaying Mephisto right in front of his advisors and minions. The witnessing Hellions didn't even try to stop Solus as he didn't say a single word, and simply left the ruined Throne Room. News of Mephisto's death spread faster than a forest fire, before Solus could even reach the Hell Gate, still clutching his wounds, the entirety of Hell, and even most of the Surface World has heard of Mephisto's demise. It was 20 years later when he gained more infamy when he and a group of other individuals grinded Judas' paranoid campaign to a staggering halt. It is unknown who delivered the killing blow that killed Judas' spirit, though it is believed by many to have been Solus himself. He vanished soon after that, and hasn't been seen for 180 years...

So, since in still digging through the info related to this RP I was curious. Could a human use magic to exstended there natural life span? Specifically maintaining youth into old age? Since I'm looking at playing a Warlock styled human character.

Yeah, he'd have to be pretty powerful and probably use some kind of demonic art to steal Essence from people but there are other ways too, if you want him to be untainted. Like just using Essence deposits (kind of like a Final Fantasy Lifestream). But yeah, you could do that. :)

I have a penchant for playing characters that don't fall into either catagory as far as good vs evil dark vs light which is why I love that humans in this lore are the in between characters. Although I deffinantly want him to feel like a real Warlock so you will deffinantly have an evil slant but I'd like to juxtapose that with being purely Human. Also when I was reading the lore it says that humans didn't have access to magic until later on in history (with some exceptions correct me if I'm wrong). as far as the time line goes how new is magic to the human populace in terms of years from when it became a more normal thing

Magic was hard for humans to handle until a 200 years ago when Hell's Gate fell and demonic essence spilled on the Surface (prior to that the surface held mainly angelic and human essence which naturally blocked most people's magical abilities.) There still were people who used it even back then, though. It's just quite the common thing nowadays for humans to have increased magical abilities.

Oh yeah, an important point. The line between good and evil doesn't depend on the race. There's plenty of monstrosities the Angels have committed and plenty of well-established demon syndicates and whatnot. The major difference is that the angels don't touch the humans but view them as weak sheep while demons find value in them... and eat them. In any case, the whole thing is very grey and in the past 200 years the races have come to respect each other more and to discriminate less. Though most angels and demons probably still hate each others' guts deep down inside. :D It's just that now they have the humans to beat a healthy dose of respect into them when they go astray.

Okay, Lucien, Luciana, and Mary round 2!...wait. 3! Round 3!

Incidentally, would anyone like to take a human girl with no combat training and is decidedly not prepared for the hell that is about to visit her under there wing? Anyone?

Also I'm ridicuolously happy Luciana got a mention in the summary. XD

*glomps*

Lol there was no way around it - only Luciana could have physically split the Essence. ^ ^ Glad you liked it!

As for Mary you'd have to figure out why she's still alive. I'm a bit confused about what happened to her in the end due to all your guys' nice little secrets, but if she's alive and kicking you could stick her in the Academy perhaps. ^ ^ I know I want a character there - a slightly obnoxious teen of some sort.

*Glomps back* It certainly makes my story for her far easier to incorporate! :D

Well typically I've always viewed humans as a young kind of chaotic race which is why I tend to play them in games/RPs because I am human ;) and it's easier to relate to them. Especially when the genesis of races (like in this game) aren't of my own creation it's easier for me to develope my own character if I get the characters motivations.

was that directed at me?

Additional question: So could a human transplant their soul/mind with the right amount of energy and the correct knowledge? Because I've been toying with the Idea of naming/nicknaming my Warlock Lazarus but I felt it was necessary for me to come up with some sort of reason for such a nickname and then I was thinking about the whole magically extending life thing then I was staring at a copy of the Dresden files and it made me think of the Necromancer Corpsetaker and his/hers ability to switch bodies with people.

You see where this is going? and even if this is possible I'm not sure this is the direction I want to take the character because this would make the character a really evil bastard. Unless he had say......some clones lying around or something. This is purely academic at this point

Yes, yes it was. You whose character will be Mary's guardian. Or I could be leaping to conclusions that you can deny at anytime. One of the two! :P

I actually really like that Idea. Maybe like an apprentice.

Gives me a reason to be a BA warlock for the purpose of protecting a young female character

You wanna email me or PM me The information I need to write Mary into Lazarus bio? And I'd be more than happy to resuscitate her if this is a return from the dead kind of thing. I dont know what all happened in the first part. Other than what Wind Wild has posted. Oh and what I've read from the link

It could be possible. But I don't think he'd just be snatching people's bodies. That would fall under 'altering personalities through magic'. I think, he could create bodies (or even use statues) and transfer his mind and soul, into those. He wouldn't be necessarily evil, really. Still check this all with Wind.

Id really like to make this character an old school warlock with all sorts of crazy applications for magic. And the reason I'm aiming for the whole "Artificially lengthened life" thing is because that is the only way (at least in my head) to explain why he is throwing around some really potent magic. And I like the Galatea style of resurrection that would be interesting, it would force him to be a sort of renaissance man as well as a powerful Warlock

Solus could take her if you want Rtron. His 244 years of experience made him a legend in this world.

Merlin, while changing bodies for a human would be a unique addition to the RP I do intend on having Necromancers, so why not. ^ ^

If any of the old members see a problem with it feel free to mention it here or in a PM.
