Haven't been on here for probably half a year now. This'll probably be the only RP I do for a while. Anyhow, I'm going to try to keep this short, sweet, and to the point. Warning: Spoilers may lurk ahead.

Anyone playing will be playing as either a professor or a student at Miami City's signature Duel Academy, Leo Duel School, a year and a half after the first Pendulum Summon was performed by Yuya Sakaki. Thanks to many hours of research and experimentation on behalf of Leo Corporation's CEO, Reiji Akaba, Pendulum Monsters have become madly popular in all parts of the world reached by the monopolistic Leo Corporation. Due to the availability of Pendulum Monsters, Leo Duel Schools everywhere have since incorporated the new form of Summoning as its sixth Summoning Class. These classes include "Tribute Summon", "Ritual Summon", "Fusion Summon", "Synchro Summon", "Xyz Summon", and "Pendulum Summon".

This will expand to more than just the realm of every-day classes and such. However, expanding on the idea of where the plot will go leaves spoilers in the air. This RP will use the Anime-Based 4000 LP system, as it is based in an Anime setting, unless I am convinced otherwise. Action Duels will also be available, but they will pose a bit of a complication that I will address later. Also, there are two methods to utilize Dueling in this RP: We can all register on Dueling Network and construct our Decks from its database; OR We can play our Decks like on the anime and pick-and-choose when and where cards enter our hands. Each has its pros and cons.

DN Pros:
- Purely realistic Duels
- Playing Field Visualization
DN Cons:
- Potentially more difficult Action Dueling
- Collaborating for Duels must be done all at once

Scripted Pros:
- Leisurely Collaboration
- Anime-Only Card availability (to an extent)
Scripted Cons:
- Unrealistic and potentially unfair Duels
- Lack of Field Visual

I'll leave it to the RP'ers to decide which approach we will take for Dueling. I'm alright either way. Those who play must choose ONE (1) Summon Class to attend, and that will be your default form of Summoning (no others will be available to you initially). As time progresses and your character becomes more prestigious, it will be possible to attend other classes and learn new forms of Summoning.

Action Duels will be easy as pie with Scripted Duels, because there's almost nothing to it that makes it any more difficult than a typical Duel. BUT if we use the Dueling Network Route: I will create a list of Action Cards with a number assigned to each Card. Firstly, if you're searching for an Action Card: You must roll a six-sided die (DN has an option for that). If the result is a 1 or a 6: You get your hands on an Action Card (if both players dive for an Action Card at the same time and succeed in the die roll, flip a coin and call it for the result). Then a Random Number Generator is used to decide which Action Card is found. Action Cards (for those who are unfamiliar) are activated without being placed on the field, and typically are played instantaneously upon pickup (this is particularly the case with Action Trap Cards). They are sent to the Graveyard after activation, so be sure to keep up with how many you've played.

When CS's are made (wait a couple of days for me to work everything out), they must include a Deck List. Limitations will currently follow the advanced format ban-list with a few exceptions:
- Players will be allowed ONE copy of only ONE Forbidden card.
- I would prefer to stay away from the Egyptian Gods, Legendary Dragons, Signer Dragons, and Numbers if at all possible. They were intended in the Anime to be rare/unique cards, and to have one of these would require a pretty extensive backstory.
- As previously stated: If we use Scripted Duels, Anime/Manga-only cards will be available alongside TCG and OCG cards. However, I will ban-list certain cards based on what seems to be a trend with Konami. For example: Unfair draws and Grave returns are hated on by Konami quite frequently, as well as control seizure.

I think that's everything. Thanks if you stuck with me through all of that. It was a bit longer than intended.

Every time I sign up to one of these, I use HERO's and tend to get buggered by another Duelist. So, this time, i'm gonna throw my hat into the ring alongside my Monarchs. They should fair a lot better.

Cool. I personally almost never go for archetypes when I build Decks, but if that's what you're comfortable with, more power to you. I like to be able to switch some cards out to keep my diversity in strategy high. For example, I'm probably going to use a "Blaze Fenix" Deck, which would be fairly versatile.

Anyway, 's your vote for DN or for Scripting our Duels?

Hey Rethel, I was wondering if I'd ever see you and another Yu-gi-oh roleplay again. Welcome back.
Anyways, I'd be interested in doing a scripted duel style. Though, i am a little worried about the fairness problem it would have.

Thanks, malm. c:

And if everyone handles it maturely and doesn't do something like grabbing an Exodia hand every time they enter a Duel, we're good on scripted Duels. I just don't want everyone to be FTK'ing. i.e.: I'm probably going with a Machine/Pyro/Dragon Fusion Deck (which is weird with me using Synchro's typically in RL). To keep it effective, I'll probably have at least 1 "Chimeratech" Fusion (likely "Overdragon"). I'll also have "Chain Fusion" in my Deck, but I promise to only "Chain Fusion" a "Cimeratech Overdragon" Once or twice in the whole RP. No more, simply because that's OP'd. Besides, my main focus will be "Blaze Fenix", which is powerful enough as it is.

EDIT: Just for all to see, I've worked up a rough draft of my character's main deck. There are two of the card images that screwed up because of my slow internet, though. First is "Elemental HERO Blazeman" (Top row, 4th from the right) and "King of the Swamp" (2nd row, 2nd and 3rd from the left). I tend to have this habit of making my Decks all 43 cards, and it's usually unintentionally.

As much as I loath yugioh arc-V, I may be interested in joining an RP about it. In the last few yugioh RPs I've been in I've used a RNG-based scripted format for dueling, where draws and other random events are decided by a simple number generator. Sure you have to trust your opponent not to lie, but I like to think they will be honest about not drawing all five pieces of exodia as their starting hand.

Are you entirely against custom cards in this RP? I can send you the latest version of Cybell's deck, the character I originally created back for your last yugioh RP if you want to see how her Alchemy dragons are looking today.

No custom cards this time around (but cards that have been used in the anime or manga without being published as real cards are available for use). I might try making another RP sometime where we use custom cards again, though. And since it seems we're leaning toward scripted Duels, I won't try to enforce an RNG (except maybe for action cards). However, if a certain player makes his/her Duel overly unrealistic, I will attempt to enforce an RNG on said person. If the problem persists, the person shall be kindly removed from the RP.

And though initially I disliked ARC-V, after watching the first thirteen episodes of its anime (in Japanese, of course), I will say that even with its minor issues, it is ten times better than ZEXAL. At least that's my opinion. (Though I dislike the cut of the Turn 1 Draw) All things considered, though, only minor mentions will be made concerning its characters.

OOC will be up later today. c:
