ClosedInterest Check LinkWelcome to Mineral Town! A friendly community that doesn't deal with issues outside of those brought upon them by day-to-day life. Seek to fulfill your ambitions as you put your heart into the work you do, and aid in making the lovely town a wonderful place. What you do with your life is your call. Befriend the townsfolk over the course of your wonderful life, be a loner that sits at home all day without much motivation, or go above and beyond friendship and seek a loving relationship with somebody you consider special. It's up to you, really.
The Roleplay shall be starting on the second day of Spring, therefor pretty much the beginning of a new year.
NOTE: I have an assigned Co-GM: MissCapnCrunch. I'll be mostly keeping track of this, but she's a very welcomed helping hand. She has just as much authority as I do over this RP.
Probably more, because she wears the pants in this GM relationship.--Seasons--Like in the Harvest Moon games, we will be going by the same time system for the most part. Each of the four seasons last thirty days, and after all four seasons have passed, so has a year. The four seasons are Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Each bringing their advantages and disadvantages and having different effects on different people.
--Events--Mineral Town has multiple events and festivals that happen throughout the seasons. The Mayor is usually happily in charge of said events, unless he puts somebody else in charge. The Mayor will usually announce an event a few days in advanced, just as a reminder to the townsfolk. Some notable events are the Fall Music Festival(3rd Day of Fall), and the Spring Cooking Contest(25th Day of Spring). I'm still working out events and their dates, so excuse me if this is quite lacking in information.
--Character Sheet--I don't expect anything major from character sheets, but I'd like enough to get the idea of the character you're playing.

"Everyone deserves to make their own decisions. It's a part of life!"
Name: David Rustler
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Birthday: Winter 5
Role: Farmer
Personality: Kind-Hearted. Adaptive. Hark Working. Honest. Reliable.
Likes: Farm Animals(Chickens, Cows, Sheep, Horses), Tomatoes, Homemade Meals, Nature, Being Outside, Rain, Relaxing.
Dislikes: Bees, Staying Inside, Heights, Littering, Mean-Spirited or Disrespectful People.
History:Born into the city by his hard-working father and delicate mother, David was certainly not a city-boy. He found the city too loud, and didn't like how many people were around, filling the streets to the brim. They weren't usually that nice, either. The adults or the kids. He had a few friends, of course, but they were a bit devious and sometimes got into trouble that David wanted no part of. He disliked it, through and through. He always hoped to move to somewhere more open and quiet.
Around the age of six, his parents took him to see the country. It was amazing to David. The fresh air, the beautiful scenery, the animals. During one of their stops, David wandered off to look at the beautiful sights around him. He ended up lost, and rather scared. He continued to desperately wander in hope of finding his way home, but ended up on a farm owned by a lone man instead. He was old, and wise. With his aid, and the fact David's parents thought ahead and had the boy keep their number on him at all times, they managed to contact his mother and father to reunite them before too long.
After being reunited with his parents and scolded for wandering off, David began exploring the farm out of curiosity as the three adults spoke. The old man offered for them to stay for a few days, liking the idea of company giving he had no family of his own. They accepted, and the days that followed were some of David's happiest. He enjoyed spending time with the animals, and helped the old man do his work. He grasped everything quite easily, and enjoyed it more than most other activities. David and the old man became quick friends over the week they were together, the experience on the farm giving David a dream in life. He wanted to be a farmer, and live his life out in nature like this. It seemed perfect; a more simple, hard-working lifestyle.
When it came time to leave, the old man offered to start exchanging letters with David. He happily accepted the offer, and over the years was taught a lot of things by the old man about farm life. It was around half a year ago that the letters stopped coming, the few the young man sent out didn't get returned by his friend, and it concerned him. Deciding to go and visit again to ensure he was okay, he was crushed to find the farm's condition to be horrible. It was run-down, filthy, and just in general a mess. Nobody was there, and David's worst thoughts were only confirmed by the rather sudden appearance of the Mayor of the small town the farm was by. Introducing himself as Mayor Alenko, he explained the owner of the farm had passed, and in his will, had left the farm to nobody but David himself. Much to his surprise.
Pushing past the grief, David confirmed who he was to the Mayor, and decided to restore the farm to it's former glory out of respect. He knew it'd be a difficult task, but couldn't just leave the farm in it's current state. He chose to live on the farm, in turn becoming a resident of Mineral Town. Word about somebody restoring the farm spread quickly, though David hadn't had the time to introduce himself properly to anyone yet. He had been focusing on making the small house on the farm livable. He only brought some necessities with him, not wanting to stuff the place with things he didn't need.
His hefty task has only just begun, and though he'd have to push through the hardships, he planned to make the farm more successful than ever before.
Ivan C. Alenko ~ The Mayor
"Chin up, Hmm? A positive attitude will get you places."
Name: Ivan C. Alenko
Gender: Male
Age: 39
Birthday: Fall 17
Role: Mayor
Personality: Quiet, Thoughtful, Productive, Stern, Intelligent.
Likes: Gourmet Meals. Mineral Town. Town Events. Summer Flowers. Schedules. Reliable People.
Dislikes: Complaints. Obnoxiously Loud People. Wild Animals. Filth. People Who Cause Problems.
History: Ivan has been the Mayor of Mineral Town for quite some time. He has kept things in order and has shown to be deeply concerned about the well-being of the town and it's residents time and time again. He has also shown to be quite frightening when a situation involves a troublemaker. Though the Mayor is a rather important figure, he actually isn't seen too often outside of town events and serious situations. He spends most of his time at home, for what would appear to be no real reason aside from preference. Not to say he doesn't like going on a stroll and visiting with the townsfolk, but he mostly keeps to himself.
When the owner of the local farm passed away, nobody took up the position to care for it. He had watched it decay, and though he did read the will of the owner, he wasn't able to find who the farm was passed down to. That was, until the young man the farm was passed down to visited the farm, looking for the owner. Only to discover the fate of the farm and the man who had taken care of it. Ivan was taken by surprise when the boy decided to build the farm back up to it's former glory, but fully supported him. He welcomed the young man as Mineral Town's newest resident, and hoped he'd turn the farm into a success that the past owner would be proud of.
Of course, only time would tell how he'd do...
Ramone Banderas ~ The Apprentice Blacksmith
"Like, don't judge me because I act feminine. I've totally got muscles too!"
Name: Ramone Banderas
Gender: Male?
Age: 17
Birthday: Summer 28
Role: Blacksmith's Apprentice
Personality: Obnoxious, Feminine, Competitive with girls his age. Sometimes he makes it difficult for anyone to figure out if he's just stupid, or is putting on a really good ruse with some of his logic.
Likes: Pineapples, Straps, Torn Clothing, Skipping Work, Annoying His Uncle, Smooth Jazz, Fabulous People, Innuendos, Napping.
Dislikes: Worms, Fire, Rocks, Alcohol, Onions, Heavy Objects, Rock Music, Getting Yelled At By His Uncle.
History: Shipped off to Mineral Town at the age of Fifteen to live with his Uncle Gordeu Hawkin, or 'G' in order to discover his inner manliness, Ramone has made sure to be anything but a man. The way he walks, the way he talks about himself, he has come off as nothing more than a typical teenage city-girl. Which has drove his uncle crazy since his arrival. The two aren't exactly the best of friends, but somehow always have managed to get the job done. Though odd and hard to work with, once he manages to actually get going he can get through quite a few hefty tasks quickly with his own little fabulous touch.
Though usually not many people come, Ramone is the local party animal and likes to throw a bash whenever he can. Even though he usually ends up waking with an issue on his shoulders that his uncle yells at him about, he pushes past it and can surprisingly figure out solutions for his issues before they get worse. One thing everyone can expect to hear is the sound of G's voice as he screams and chases Ramone, who some might consider a bit of a brat, around town. That is when he isn't playing sick and slipping out without his uncle noticing, of course...
