No side to tell. I'm here because you followed me, but that will sure change in a moment.

So why does she think you're trying to kill her?

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

We can't survive in here!

Then hurry up and tell me these "bad things" that'll happen if you die.

Four nineteen left. Clock's ticking.

The other one over there becomes something much worse. I'd also just really like to be not dead.

*Watches*

*it shows a live video feed, with an EDB squad scouting through the interior of what looks like Kirina's castle, and they look back to the camera*

Soldier: Captain Shinii, weve made it through their defenses, thanks to your stealth drive. Whats our next move?

- wait, you're in? That worked?

Soldier: seems like it.

-alright. Look around for this rumored project Zero that kirina is supposedly making. If you find anything notable about it, send it back and ill get you all to safety.

Soldier: understood sir. Hey, whos the guy on screen?

- a close personal friend of mine. I trust him with this video feed.

Soldier: thats fine, i suppose.

*they keep moving, but after a while, a quick shadow darts acrosss the back of the room, and they dont catch it*

Oh? That suprising. To much of that stuff makes me sick to my stomach.

Soldier:it looks like were approaching some sort of lab, now. Keep moving?

- Indeed, carry on.

Soldier: alright. Man, this place is creepy, its like playing a twisted castlevania...

- only the things there can actually hurt you. Stick to your training and you should be fine, though. You're Spec Ops, fear shouldnt be a part of your vocabulary.

Soldier: its fantastic. I perfer games like wolfenstein, though.

- focus on the mission. Kirina is bound to be nearby-

*a bright flash of light occcurs, then it clears, showing the camera is now on the ground, in a larger puddle of blood, and someone picks up the camera*

???: The EDB have no business being here. I am coming for you, shinji.

*the signal disconnects*

As an example, I'd rather fight someone out to do evil intentionally than someone who's ambivalent either way. The latter is far more dangerous.

You usually won't be combating ambivalence.

Why do they all want to kill me.

Cant be just the EDB's collapse that they want.

They want to take my life as well.

Because those who don't care have even less regard for human life than those who wish to destroy it.

True lack of care would mean they wouldn't be threatening human life. Otherwise, it isn't really lack of care.

They would do whatever pleased them without caring who got harmed in the process. If their goal is to actively hurt others, pthen no. Duh.

@Techspert

In order to acheive the goal they've set forth, the thing they do care about, they have to have some level of care, "good" or "bad", for the obstacles that prevent them reaching it.
