Do you believe democracy is a good system?
It has its own flaws, but its the best current form of government in my opinion.

<Snipped quote by Techspert>
It has its own flaws, but its the best current form of government in my opinion.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
Why?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>
It allows the people within it to choose the best way to get things done. Want a small business law put in place? Vote on it. With enough votes, it gets through. They are in near complete control of what they want done. Plus, within the EDB, we arent a two-party system. Everyone is fairly represented.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
On average, do people make good decisions?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>
Individually yes. In groups, not so much. A person is intellegent. People as a whole are finicky, frail and prone to bad decisions.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
That is not a question or a suggestion that can be resolved. There are far too many factors to determine what I presume you are asking.
<Snipped quote by Balance>
Exactly.
<Snipped quote by Balance>
*It eventually constructs itself into a small windmill, completely functional and about half your height.*
<Snipped quote by Mammalia>
Me either.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
Never mind then! Well, just like every system, the Automatic System will need some time to work out its kinks. The Nobility System was okay until it broke and the Tier System was super okay for a really long time but also had flaws! We'll just have to see what happens.
@Techspert@souleaterfan320 Ooh, politics!
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
We have corrected the theoretical errors in the Tier System.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
I apologize if I come across as overaggressive. I would very much like to learn the underlying motivations of the organization, as the EDB owns a particularly sizable territory in my time.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>
Curiosity is fine—that's how you do science!
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
That's good! Did you expect these errors when you first set up the Tier System? Or, if you figured it out later, why didn't you fix them?
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
No, and we learned of their existence after it was too late to fix them prior to them being taken advantage of.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
*Nods*
A passion of mine.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
What if that happens again? Can you reset to the Automatic System, fix the errors, and switch back?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>
A great passion! We're all scientists here, and by "all" I mean, me, Data, and you!

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
No, and it cannot happen again. We have learned much since Tier Five's implementation. I also highly recommend not performing System shifts rapidly in a short period of time. Or rapidly at all, given the undefined behavior of the System.

I... enjoy applied science myself. There are some pet theories I really enjoy, but there's nothing better than seeing the concepts you love become a reality.
