I need you and Mrs. Dye to keep this as far from Miss Jade as possible, but you have a right to know. I can't medically or ethically stop that change from happening to some degree; you would need someone with an ability. Species like hers, especially half-breeds, go through that kind of transition at some point in their lives and many of them manage to control it. The ones that don't, or cause trouble while going through it, are the ones you often hear about. Many serial killers, creatures, paranormal entities, and cryptids are just different variations of the same species.
