If I just eliminated Tamerlaine myself, other beings, more powerful than I, who are using the chaos she causes to their own ends would get...upset and most likely start a war that could tear apart all of Existence. So I use beings such as yourself to accomplish my goals for me. Also, Shinji opened the portal. I did not force you through, you entered it yourself.
