Bah, nothing, as usual. Gangs or other scavengers must of picked this place clean before I got here, or while I was talking with Vector. Speaking of which...

*I raise my right hand, staring down at it*
Lets see if I can't figure out how this works.

*Summoning up that sensation again, I attempt to open another rift, strands of energy emerging from my fingertips. They hover for a bit, before suddenly shooting out a few feet to tear open a jagged hole in the empty space before me. Unfortunately I cannot see what's on the other end*
Well... that was unexpected. Hmm. Do I enter the possibly dangerous rift and end up god knows where, or do I stay here and try to scrounge up some more food?

*Stares at the rift for a bit*
Ah fuck it. Lets do this.

*I step through and soon find myself tumbling out the other end in a heap, right onto what feels like a carpeted floor. As a matter of fact, the more I look at my surroundings, the more I realize where I am... an office and a rather nice one at that*

???: Excuse me, but how the hell did you get in here?

*I turn to find myself face to face with a rotund man with greying hair and a bit of stubble on his face*
Uh... it's a long story, one I'll tell you in a bit. Look, where the hell am I?

???: You sir, are currently trespassing in my office.

*Nods*
Uh huh. And who might you be?

Lester Graves: I am Lester Graves, Mayor of Haverwall. *He presses a button underneath his desk* Now identify yourself!

*I slowly get to my feet*

*I nod, beginning to connect the dots*
