The battle that's happening right now. It's incredibly high-stakes and may not be the best environment to introduce your character. Also, when a being goes to another universe for the first time, it is an incredibly gruelling experience (unless that's been put out of effect), so that'll have to be dealt with as well.

Heh, if they're going to be roleplayed, it needs to be imaginable. But anyway, powers like that apply singularly to their home dimensions, so it wouldn't work elsewhere. And this RP has a different sort of life/death system.

Back in a previous system that Existence (basically the multiverse) was run, there were different Tiers of beings. Tier Four beings were beings that could travel through different universes, and when you first open a portal to another universe (whether it's by teleporting or a literal portal or some other manner), you would undergo what I understood to be an ascension--basically becoming capable of moving from universe to universe--and it is very difficult. If you aren't strong enough or if you aren't aided in some way, the chance is very real that you don't survive. And even if you're strong enough to survive (which your character would be), it is by all accounts a very challenging experience. I could be wrong, though, and it may not still be in effect--David will know.
