The whole point of the Nobles arc is to destroy the power level system. Once the Nobles are gone, it's fair game.

Uh, when David combined the Artifacts, that is the Holy Sword. But it'll take Luke's plan to kill him, and not the Nobles.

Guess it's just me then... It's the strangest thing. I can't control it, and if I don't eat for a certain amount of time, my hands start to shake almost violently. I have a hard time typing this and not misspelling anything.

No, like, it was the power of them united. He had to do that, while they were physically separated to cover more area. If they were together, then the scratch would have just been three times deeper. If the Artifacts themselves were separated and ununited, it wouldn't have scarred.
