I have mixed feelings. I feel like this is a consequence of playing favorites, but simultaneously, Shinji doesn't deserve to suffer because Techi's having a bad time. :/

I get that. It's just that Techi's having a bad time and doesn't want to help anyone. The guy's got to find someone else or deal with the consequences. The same happened for me wen Soren contacted Techi for help with fixing Svár, so I got somebody else.
