Did you intend to respond to Mio?

I was thinking he didn't, but I was confused about the same thing.
In all technicality, it is a valid response, since she's resisting Philotic Disintegrators.

Still confused. I responded as though it was meant for me, though.

Still confused. I responded as though it was meant for me, though, because I think Aron is with them.

Aron went through the portal to help find the others in trouble. Only Soren is still there.
The teleportation field thing wouldn't work without energy right? And that includes energy as in "the ability to do work".

I suppose that depends on how it's constructed. But there's not enough power behind it now to do it the perfect way (for reasons that I won't talk about), so I suppose not.
Recent events have made this not necessary to debate. Otherwise, it would be painful to crawl through.

Yeah, I was curious as to how this was going to play out with the whole "cannot break through no matter what" and "but philotes don't work that way".
<Snipped quote by Disdain>
It's not "cannot be broken through no matter what" it's "Cannot be broken by those lasers."

That does not necessarily eliminate the problem, although I'm not perfectly certain what the problem is, as I only remember some of the explanation behind philotes.
<Snipped quote by Disdain>
David is basically using them to be things that the source material never allowed them to be, saying that they somehow make sense despite their explanation being a stretch at best, and saying that they're universal. Which is fine, if annoying, but pretty useless against Dark and co.
