The dark magic in it is the kind of thing that Christians should never get involved in reading. Never.
Valiance said
The dark magic that's in it is used by the dark characters, just as non-dark magic is used by non-dark characters. It is portrayed as evil, as it should be.
Legend said
Because Whiz said "The dark magic in it," referring to all the magic used (because 75% of it is magical spells, there is no "non dark magic" to be used.

Legitimate?

You are aware that magic is a real thing, correct?
Valiance said
Uh, am now. I'm aware of voodoo and all that jazz, but I thought that was all make believe stuff.

It's in the Bible. Magic, wizardry, spells, incantations, curses, those are legitimate things. King Saul went to a conjurer, trying to resurrect the soul of Solomon to speak with him.

I'm only on Exodus. Still. Been busy ever since I decided to start... May I ask how that turned out?

You've never read the Bible before? Magic is little more than calling upon the power of Satan and demons. Anyway, it turned out pretty poorly for Saul. God got angry, and sent what I believe to be a demon in Solomon's place (because whenever you hear of someone's "ghost," it's just a demonic representation and not the original person, along with the words it spoke), and Saul, along with his sons, were condemned to die after the next battle.

It was the soul of Samuel he was calling for, actually.

I'll be honest. Do you know how long it's been since I've truly been saved? I've been one of Christians since I was old enough to have independent thought. May as well have been an atheist, as I am ashamed to say. I hated church, despised praying, and thought everything about Christianity was not worth my time. Now for the juicy bit. For how long have I been an actual Christian? About 3 months.
Legend said
My bad. Whaaaaaaat? No way. Back a year ago, you were so Christian before.
Valiance said
When are you talking about? The whole deal with Pinkamina?
Legend said
Just you period. You acted Christian. And waaaay before three months.
