Also, synopsis of the story I'm writing:
The fic is set in an alternate version of the Where the World Ends fic. Gilda, having nightmares about Rainbow Dash, comes to Equestria, arriving at the very moment that the elements backfire and destroy the Mane 6, including Dash since she was in the radius. Gilda takes the remains of the shattered elements, and the intact element of Loyalty, and embarks on a quest to find the 5 other new bearers. When they all come together, Discord causes strife between them and they all split up through the lands, but they eventually reunite through the efforts of Gilda and defeat Discord.

You think I don't know that? One of the aspects of the first book is Gilda overcoming her cold nature so that she can fully wield her new element. Also, no ponies are new bearers. Honesty will be a Buffalo, Kindness will be a Zebra, Generosity will be an Ibex (of the Ib'Xian empire, WTWE's replacement for China), Laughter will be a Penguin, and Magic will be a Deer. Although I'm starting to consider switching Honesty to Zebra and Kindness to Buffalo.

The whole point of the story is to expand the story of MLP to the rest of the world. In fact, it's actually going to be the first story in a trilogy (or quadlogy if the second fic ends up having to be split in two). The second story (or stories) will involve exploring The Echo to find a way to survive the Ley so that the bearers can traverse the Old World to close The Breach. The third story will involve restoring magic to the world, since closing The Breach will cause the Ley Lines to disappear, removing magic from the world. Therefore, they must travel through the Lost World, now accessible since the Ley Lines are gone, and resurrect the God King.
