I'm suddenly quite wary of an undercurrent of homophobia.

Allow me to clarify. We're willing to love all people, regardless of their lifestyle. A majority of our primary members do not believe that living that kind of life is a moral choice to make, and as a result would rather not be required to participate in something that would inevitably become a point of contention (especially given its significantly greater occurrence on sites like this than in our real world, given that people understandably want to be able to see life from a different perspective). So just as we respect other groups that allow it, we ask that you respect us in our choice, and if that means that our group isn't right for you, we completely understand. We're all people behind the screen, after all, and people have such differing tastes.

Sounds like that whole 'we have the right to refuse' thing. I doesn't matter how nicely you try to justify it, it's still blatantly homophobic.

We do have a right to refuse, given that it's our creative work. In any case, if someone holding to that particular belief is considered amoral, I'm afraid we'll have to peacefully disagree.

The simple fact is that three of our main members are highly religious. They don't want to have to interact with homosexuality in the RP, but we do still allow it so long as PDA is done off-screen. I understand having apprehension about it, but it really isn't as big of an issue as it may seem.

I wouldn't say they amoral, I'd say they were immoral.

You're are correct, they can set the rules. That doesn't mean they are free from criticism. I find it jarring that the 'no homo' rule comes right after the 'PG-13 romance is fine' rule. It reinforces this negative idea that only a few forms of love are 'legitimate'. To find two men holding hands offensive makes no sense to me.

Aw yes, the old "Don't ask, don't tell" routine.

Either way I guess I'll leave you alone. However, I must ask, how often do you get flak from other people on this site? Also, has anyone tried to shut you down? Considering the number of sites you've bounced around to, I'd say people have in the past.

Not often, and that hasn't caused us much trouble at all. You've been fairly respectful so far other than perhaps a small jab here and there (and I can't describe how much I appreciate that, since it's much better than how some react). We bounced to another site when the Guild went down a few years ago, and went to another site when the original site didn't allow for multiple accounts. We came back to the Guild when it went back up, but then decided to wait until Mahz brought back profile pictures. We haven't really gotten witch-hunted for the rule, so from one living person to another, please don't start one. We like peace. =P

I suppose you are right in a sense, but we do what we must to keep everyone happy, even if it seems detrimental ag first. In all reality despite my sexual preference, i get along well with them, and their actually a fun group of people in total.

I would start with around city-buster if I were new. Technically we have up to universe-busters, but those are difficult to balance without experience. What did you have in mind?

A fallen angel/archangel type character maybe. Can't use my OC Fenris though...he was built using powers from the Superpower Wiki and technically classifies as a Omniverse Buster.

In the canonical sense, a lot of "omniverses" are grouped together into structures known as "clusters," and those level of strength usually stops working once they go outside of their own cluster. For example, Dr. Manhatten would have very little power if he left the Marvel cluster.

Nope, that works totally fine. Want to add any details about them?

Well I have the lore as to why said OC rebelled with Lucifer and whatnot, but I still have to make the character first.

I can tell you the lore though, but be warned, it differs from the actual biblical narrative and should be viewed as what it is, and that is fiction. I'm not a God hater nor do I intend to offend anyone here. (Or blaspheme.)

You're good; we appreciate the sentiment. When you have infinite universes to deal with, any number of events and strange beings can arise =)

Alright. Now for the lore. In this, greed and pride weren't the only reasons why Lucifer (of my headcannon) rebelled. You see the angels/angelic beings (like Cherubim) were originally massive celestial entities that could destroy entire galaxies with their pressence alone. (They were like this before creation mind you.) And God, gathered them together and told them about His plan for creation. He told them that in order for Him to create the universe, the angels had to lower themselves (in other words become as we know them from various texts, myths, etc.) so the new universe wouldn't be annihilated and order could be maintained.

They agreed and God created the universe, then man. And over the course of several years after the creation, while Adam and Eve were still in Eden, Lucifer became angry at his maker. He reasoned that beings like himself shouldn't have their power limited for lesser creatures like us.

And that's how the rebellion happened and the Fall (of man), etcetera, etcetera.

And that's the "lore."

That's pretty cool sounding. So this character would be Lucifer? Or another angel?

Another angel. One who is truly repentant and remorseful for his actions (unlike Lucifer and the other fallen angels, who are deadset on their path of rebellion, even though it leads to eternal damnation). My angel OC would be given a second chance by God, who would allow him to leave his verse and help others in different realities as part of a test to earn redemption.

That's still something I'm working on as angels (even the lowest) are incredibly powerful, so there's a lot to think of in terms of power. I'd say Shapeshifting definitely (to blend in mainly) but the rest?

I have no idea.

And then there's the fact that angels (both in my headcannon and the Bible) can't be killed by anything but God...I guess I could do an Absolute Immortality type thing where he comes back after a certain amount of time or something.
