I just like the idea as a whole. It might not really fit with the RP, since we normally keep everything in one thread for convenience. I wouldn't like having to check every single thread without an unread feature.

I thought it'd be a good idea to have a thread for different locations, and have the layout of the locations explained in detail. That way, we'd not only have locations' layout on record, but we'd also have very detailed descriptions of the group's present location, instead of just assuming that there is a nearby wall to slam into.

That's... actually a very good idea. I like it. I always imagined the main area of each base as a courtyard surrounded by many rooms. Like a castle/military base scenario.

Let me describe what I normally think of in more detail. Picture a moderately sized courtyard that's covered in grass and training things. Bordering that is stone about 1.5 metres wide all around, and then it's surrounded by a structure. The courtyard is open to the sky, which accounts for the weather. We probably do need to agree on what the bases look like so as not to cause later confusion.
