Back when I was younger, I thought art was stupid; and I was terrible at it. The former probably came as a result of the latter. Look at me now, younger me!

What do you mean? The What-If basically takes place in the present.

Exactly, but I'm multitasking and I am putting most of my focus into things other than this right now.My brain keeps wanting to think that this took place pretty close to the actual darkloid arc itself. Stupid brain. I keep telling myself I'm smarter than it is, but it just never listens.

Ugh. Part of the thing is that they don't really have anything to do to punish me, so it makes me feel worse. I'm even taller than my dad, so poking my chest with his finger doesn't really accomplish much, and I feel terrible. But they have no idea that I feel terrible about it, which makes them think I don't care, which makes me feel even worse. And my goal of any discussion/argument is to reach a conclusion or truth at the end, and I recognize that the best course of action would be to shut up, but I can't do that. Whether it be my nature, personality, or whatever, something makes me keep talking when something they said is invalid, and then the situation gets even worse. I don't even know if an apology would mean anything.

Well I can't lie. But he did say something that I agree with, that my pride won't allow me to be wrong. However, I don't agree with the lengths of which they described my pride, especially when I continually work against it. But they act like I can't accept anything other than what I already thought, when it's the total opposite. I can't stand being wrong, so I want to reach a point where I'm right, and it strengthens the idea that whatever we've discussed is true when we agree on it. I just don't know where to go, because I can't keep myself from saying something; but that's just in regards to future situations. I don't know how to handle this tomorrow.

I would say nothing, but then he just yells at me until I give an answer.Valid points never work on parents. Ever. 0% success rate for me. It's a bad idea. But I'm sorry about that, because the personality thing is something I can hardly understand.

Tell them damnit. You can't win if you don't fight, or more aptly, you can't succeed if you don't try. Talk to them, because if you don't, it'll be your own damn fault that you feel bad, not theirs. You don't need to be "punished" for knowing things (despite that being the only moral of the garden of eden) just like you don't need to be "punished" for having an opinion. Why do you and Sven have this fear of opening a genuine dialog with your parents? Fuck man, do you love your parents? Do you do what you can to help them and improve their lives? Do you thank them for what they do for you every once in a while? If you do, then you respect them, no matter what they or anyone else says to the contrary. If you have to explain that to them during a talk, then do it. But for fuck's sake, just sit down with them when all three of you (and maybe your brother if he has any complaints about things too) have an hour or two of free time, and tell them these things, tell them the way you feel about it and what you think about it. I mean seriously, if they're good parents in the slightest then they're not going to stop loving or caring about you, nor will they kick you out, so really, there's not a valid reason not to open a dialog with them. No comment, other than you're the second most prideful person I know, so don't cut yourself short in that aspect.Same advice to you, but with you you'll probably want an outside adult their just in case, because in your situation things will probably get worse before they get better.

You make some good stuff on Photoshop.

Well the problem is that you don't really know the situation of my life. As for pride, you haven't really seen me since I started working on it, and to be fair, you don't know that many people.

True enough. But it's more your thing than mine.

The problem is that it doesn't matter. Unless your parents are Ragyo and Gendo, having an open dialog where you and your parents can talk openly with each other is something that you absolutely should do. You'll avoid a shitton of future conflicts if you grow a pair now and take action to get the three of you to actually consider each other equals like you "don't disagree with" wanting. You can't really pray about it since anything that could be done would infringe "free will", so try actually doing things on your own instead of asking for it or waiting and hoping that it turns out well on it's own. Bleh. "That I know" includes "that I know of".

Well you do vectors, are writing, (though I don't know how well) and can sketch at least adequately, so yeah, art is sorta your thing.
