Yes, but no. It's one of those things that you can technically say no to, but the deficits outweigh the benefits. Besides, I need to be on his good side since I want to be in top band even though I quit marching band.

But the plot is straightforward. The dude is a criminal. He's good at lying. He messes up. They catch it. He's put on death row.

There were a lot of hidden meanings in there. A few examples: Italic them (implying bad people), Maybe they could have won without deaths, that implies a resistance. His problem was that he went down the worst possible path to accomplish what were supposed to be good ends.

also it wasn't death row they're planning to use him although I didn't mention that because I didn't have enough time and also it would interrupt the flow
