The year was 845, the towns were bustling with excitement. Salesmen and merchants opened their shops in hopes for yet another fruitful day. The children in the dusty streets kicked their leather ball with passion as they started to play together. The sun shined magnificently through the open sky, and the slight breeze that swept in and out of the districts was pleasant to the touch. There couldn't be a better day than this one, for it had everything the townspeople wanted. All towns in all the walls surely must have been pleased with mother nature as she bequeathed such a beautiful day upon them. Hearts were broken when such a beautiful and fantastic day turned to terror and despair.

The hooded men...It was obvious they were not trying to be discreet or inconspicuous in any way. A group of four men, dressed in dark blue robes that looked black in the shadows, hoods covering their faces as they walked impassively through the streets the town. Every town on the edge of wall Maria had these men briskly walking through them, walking towards the outer most wall of the town. Walking towards the gate that lead outside.

The clock struck 12. The church bells started to chime.

On the first chime of the church bells, the outer most gates started to rise. The feet of the titans could be seen under the rising gate by anybody close by. By the time the fifth chime of the church bells rung, the gates in every town on the edge of wall Maria had been fully opened, letting the titans pour in. At this time, the hooded men were fleeing with 3 dimensional manoeuvre gear, but not fleeing to wall rose, but to outside the walls...Beyond the gate. Panic erupted in the streets as people fled for their lives. The titans walked, destroying houses in their way, eating people as they saw fit. The majority of the town ran to wall Maria, but to their misfortune the gates opened... And they stayed open. The titans were not trapped in the towns that protruded from wall Maria, they now had access to the inside of the wall. There was no hope. The people tried to flee, but they weren't fast enough. Only a few hundred people made it inside wall Rose were a sense of security was the only thing keeping them from going mad.

Three years have passed, since that fateful encounter. The year is 847, and the army has never had so many recruits before. For the past 3 years the army had 20% more recruits than their yearly average. It may seem that people are starting to think differently now they they have come face to face with titans. It may seem that people want change. Those people...They will show their courage and resolve at this years registration. They will show their bravery and their will to move forward at this years ceremony for initiates.

In this Rp you'll be playing a recruit from the the 104 trainees squad. This is an AU Attack on Titan Rp, so there wont be any cannon characters like Eren or Levi. This Rp will be based around character development, so I don't wanna see major badass characters. They will become badass during the course of the Rp. You can make up to 3 characters. If you decide to make 3 characters, I ask that you have diversity in personalities, because what's a good Rp without clashing personalities?. I have only seen the anime so this Rp will be based off that. I would like the characters to join the scouting legion so everyone can interact and have an optimal time killing titans.

Rules

-Obviously, the first rule will be No gmodding, No metagaming, No bunnying, and all that other good stuff.
-Be realistic. Not everyone is going to be as skilled as a veteran survey corps soldier when killing titans.
-No Titan shifters... Do I really have to explain why?
-Listen to Gm and Co-Gm. Their word is law, and defiance will result in being fed to titans....your character anyway.
- I don't mind romance, but keep the naughty stuff to PM.
-Swearing Is allowed, just keep it to a minimal.
-Put "I <3 3DMG" , in the other section of CS to show you read the rules.

Name: Luca McAllister

Personality: Luca isn't a very talkative person. He is one of those people who only speak when spoken to. He's not anti social or anything but he likes to hear everything about a situation before adding in his opinion or advice. He's generally a happy person with a likeable demeanor to him, it's like he pushes aside all the hate in the world, bottling it up, and putting on a fake smile. Luca isn't a hard worker, in fact he usually does a sloppy job, always rushing the job trying to finish it as fast as he can.

Bio: Luca lived in a town on the edge of Wall maria. He lived happily with his 4 sisters and father. His father was one of the blacksmiths in town, making all the household tools that people would use everyday. Because his fathers work was always booming with requests and demands, Luca's father usually brought home quite the amount of gold. As Luca's dad became more and more popular, he started to bring home more and more gold. Luca, being the only other male in the house, had a very strong relationship with his father, and his father felt the same way. Luca's sisters were slightly jealous of him because he was their dad's favourite. The sisters always tried to do "manly" things to impress their father but it never really did anything. Lca's father had always stored away gold in the safe he had, claiming the money was being saved to go towards buying a new house, possibly one within wall Sina.

It was Luca's, and his sisters, dream to move to the inner most wall, apparently life there was nothing less than luxurious. Luca had just received news by his father that they had saved enough money to buy a nice house in the inner wall SIna,they were to go pack their bags and be on their way. Luca was overjoyed. He started to run home back to where his house was when he heard the church bells chime. Luca came in sight of his house, and only seconds after, had to watch as a 15m class titan send his big fleshy foot through the roof. Luka cried out but it didn't help. One of his sisters ran out of the house, running towards Luca with a horror spread across her face. The bones in her shattered but she was still able to bare the pan and keep moving. She picked up Luca with her good arm and continued running. She ran him all the way to the boat on the other side of wall Maria, he was one of the last people to get on but he managed. Luca questioned her about his other 3 sisters and about his father. Luca's father was safe in wall Rose trying to buy a house because the houses in wall Sina were more expensive than previously thought. Luca heard that his other 3 sisters had been crushed by the foot of a titan while they were preparing dinner for Luca and their father. Through the scrambled thoughts of such a young boy, Luca managed to come up with a goal. To join the survey corpse and gain knowledge about the titans, this way he will be able to understand them and learn how to protect people from them.

Proficiency: - Being able to assess the situation and act accordingly -Agility with the 3DMG.

Inefficiency: -Using the 3DMG swords (can never cut deep enough) -handling emotional stress

Name: Jacob Rommel

Birthday: November 21st - Age 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jacob is a young man of thin build but is fairly muscular but only due to the normal training that cadets are put through. He has silver colored hair that is well combed and kept well cut just below his eye brows. He has no piercings on his body and has round brown eyes. He has a thin chin, He has a thin nose to match his build. His lips are rather small but not abnormally so. He has tanned white skin. He wears stainless steel glasses with oval shaped lens.

The closest picture I can get to Jacob is the following with the description above replacing the coloring of the character (Ribbons Almark) in the picture

He stands at 5'9 with a weight of 135 lbs

Personality: Jacob is a very self confident man whom is not very easily shaken or bothered by other peoples comments. He is the first person expected to be arrogant about what he is capable of and often is vocal about his doubts about other people. While he shows the qualities of a fine officer he lacks any sort of charisma that could rally a person around him. He has a introverted aura about him that makes him seem eerie and scary to some people others see it as arrogance and simply don't like him based off it. He is extremely blunt and to the point and doesn't enjoy toying around with people and is not the first one to laugh at a joke. He has an great hatred for titans and humans with no sense of virtue or self restraint.

He is extremely calm and it takes something profound to intimidate him. However while he is good at hiding it he can be extremely emotional and his attitude does show shades of it by the types of words he uses and how blunt he is. He is not shy by any means and has a great respect for a superior who's abilities are unquestionable but has a deep hidden distaste for incompetent commanders and at his worse he can flat out disobey orders when he believes he can do something better. Jacob can be extremely smug at times especially when he is proven right about one situation or another. He can handle frustration very well but when it starts to pile onto him he tends to snap. He can be extremely casual under almost any situation even when he is about to murder a titan, or another person, in cold blood. He is not especially fond of causing pain but he has no problems with it and is not vocal when he is uncomfortable. He has no problems with doing unethical things in order to get things done but will not be bribed by others.

Biography:

Though much is known about his origins exactly, due to his blunt statement that he is not interested in sharing it to anyone who did bother to ask him, he tells anyone who asks that he comes from a fairly well off family with a couple uncles, aunts, and cousins. He also is said to have a couple brothers whom were also in the military but he doesn't tell anyone who they are exactly merely that they served in the Military Police, and the Survey Corps. Those who know his origins choose not to tell it if any actually do. He showed up to the recruitment center after helping a garrison unit arrest two deserters after breaking one's arm and knocking the other unconscious with a rather large rock from behind. He claims that he already has experience dealing with human opponents but wants to join the military to prove his own worth. How true that is however is up to suspect since Jacob has yet to talk to any in particular.

The boy carries along a small library of books which range from journals to manuals about fighting. He claims to have some minor experiences with the gear already claiming that nearby garrison units showed him how it worked at a young age. He has already proved himself to be extremely talented in the ways of tactics and strategies by stating several different ways a squad could kill two or more titans off the top of his head. He claims it all came from what he heard from stories from a veteran survey corp member who died some years ago. Jacob is expected to become a valued member of the military once he graduates.

Extremely precise
Talented combatant (he's good in a fight be it with or without his titan fighting gear)
Talented with gunpowder and fire arms (including cannons and explosives related to gunpowder)
Extremely talented tactician and commander
Calm under pressure
High pain tolerance

Inefficiency:
Lacks any above average strength, and speed.
Lacks any sort of real charisma to unite people who don't listen to what he says.
His ability to kill titans singularly is questionable at best.
He has a hard time recovering from nausea, and or dizziness.
Small weight class leads to him being outmatched by heavier people or objects
Though he known for his ability to keep calm when his calm is broken he tends to get very emotional and is not easily reasoned.
His introverted aura makes him a very unlikable person even without him talking

Also I have some criticisms of your guy.
First of which Luka is a girl's name while that is subjectively important is one thing.
Second off is his specialties...How is he able to form strategies like my guy when he's a blacksmith's kid? You'd think he'd be the guy able to cleave through a titan. Heck my guy is noted for having kill shots despite his weak frame but that is due to the preciseness of his shots. Tacticians and strategists are usually well read and scholarly types or people who have experience which is the whole make of my guy. While my guy is not some awesome uber titan killer his reading materials and natural intelligence make him much more likely to be a planner than your character is for example.

But as predicted tragedy soon followed once the regiment returned from their expedition, and only three months into her pregnancy, Josefina had lost her husband.

Raising a newborn as a single mother had been a struggle. Living in the poorest district, food was scarce, and two months after Dania’s birth, her mother began to struggle to keep a roof over there head. Those were desperate times, but it was then that her mother met her current husband, Antonio Merlo. He arrived on their doorstep, like a knight in shining armor claiming to be the best friend of Miguel, and one of his squad mates. Promising the dying man that he would take care of his family after he passed, Antonio had finally come to whisk them away from the hell hole of the slums. So from the Shinganshina district, Dania and her mother left the outer ring, and moved to the Karanese district within Wall Rose. Their lives changed drastically for the better, and before long a relationship bloomed between her mother and Antonio, and a year later Rayen had been born.

When her sister had been born, the two had been inseparable, and at the age of six, her mother had given her a piece of advice that would shape Dania’s perspective on life forever. Family comes first. It was a simple saying, but the girl considered it an unspoken rule amongst her family. Interpreting the words in her own way, Dania took it upon herself to become her little sisters protector. She fought off anyone who bullied, or picked on Rayen, and became her biggest supporter. Growing older and coming to realize the reality of the world they lived in, Dania began to show interest in the Military. Bruising easily, accident prone, over-sensitive, and an all around crybaby, the small girl had become a target to many of the older, more harassing children in their neighborhood. However her big sister wasn’t going to allow any of that. Getting into countless fights, and always standing up for her, Dania had become Rayens own personal hero, and biggest influence.

The fall of Wall Maria signified a big change in her families life. Her father had been one of the many Scouts called to support the Vanguard during the fall of Wall Maria, and while he had survived that infamous day he had not left unscathed. Losing both an arm, and a leg her father had been discharged from duty and was left scarred. Their home became a place of tension and grief, but when Dania had brought up the idea of joining the military, Rayen wasn’t sure if she had found her way out of their depressive pit of a home, or a death wish. Once her birthday came however, she had been quick to enlist alongside her sister. Young and naive, she jumped the military bandwagon with all the wrong intentions.

For the name thing. It only took a letter to change it into an Italian boy's name XD

Regarding his specialties, I didn't see a problem with them, but I did change it slightly to give a better idea of what he was good at. The spcialty you were referring to was more geared towards him being sensible and rational when making decisions. It might just have been poor wording, I guess.

In fact what do you mean by solo and team tactics/strategies on your first person? Do you mean she's a strategist or do you mean she has been taught how to do specific things in those scenarios.

My guy is a planner not a warrior for example. He specializes in the making and thinking of tactics and strategies and then getting implementing them. While he can fill most roles he isn't a straight up soldier. The only reason he is so good is because he is so good at thinking and improvising on the spot.

Well, considering this roleplay will be based on character development, I wanted Rayen to grow into her skills. Her cowardly attitude will eventually go away with time, and just because she doesn't show leadership skills now doesn't she won't later. As a medic she needs to be aware of team and group formations to assist and aid her squad at the highest proficiency, so if someone were to get injured or hurt she can react fast and head to the exact area where they were assigned.

Unlike your guy, my character, Dania is a warrior. Her training was battle, and 3DMG focused so in thought, yes she was trained on how to act in solo situations, but her confidence and skill allows her to act on her own accord and come up with her own strategies. Even if they are sloppy, or dangerous. She's not all that much of a team player, but she is capable of working with her team, and listening to others commands which was what I meant for 'Team Strategies' in her proficiency list.

EDIT: I can also see where their proficiencies can seem redundant, but they're on different sides of the spectrum when it comes to Team Strategizing.

I hate to say this, but you're going to have to change your bio.The Rp will start after enlistment, when all the recruits are being welcomed into the army. Your bio doesn't really fit into the timeline of the Rp.
I would also like to make it a point that if your character joined the garrison he would very seldom fight titans, and it would probably make your Rp experience quite boring.

I can change my history and give some basic backstory or his full backstory which is a bit of a downer since I was hoping to reveal him over the course of said roleplay. but the character itself I can't change the character himself. If you don't believe that the character type is fit to be in the roleplay I have no problems with leaving said roleplay for the sake of making the roleplay better without Jacob. I don't see the time making him as wasted per say because I just copied and pasted him onto a character section on a different site in order to save said backstory and history.
