A firefly lighted his way between the many trees, the stars it couldnt see from the tree crowns looming over it, started dying out one by one. Retreating in front of the crystal blue morning skies. The little light swung left and right before it fly up and up. Many of the trees green blats cares the fireflies in its passing. Until it didnt meet the raising sun in front of it. A shadow disrupted the little insect of light. It was a big shadow , belonging to the most magical beings of them all who lived in this world. A dragon.
The little firefly turned around watching the fast figure growing the gap between them, flying towards the mountains. Then it fall apart, the firefly melted into the lighting rays that went to feed the woods with their shine.

A pair of dragons eyes opened far away from the little ball of light, but seeing everything it did. The owner of those eyes closed them again to yawn. The tail flickering lazily as the white dragon stretched her arms first and then her legs.
Mirazan looked around her cave she slept in. It was a nice cave to her standards. It had a big fluffy hay heap she snuggled into when asleep. On the sides of the caves were many shelves showing off jewelry stones and various items. Opposite her sleeping corner there was human made furniture. A kitchen table, several chairs and a nice mirror. Beside the mirror were her wardrobe holding mostly cloths and bags in it, all intended for her compact form, as well as some of the human money.
She looked away from it and towards the cave entrance, it was big enough for her to leave it while being in her normal form, her head dropping down on the hay, watching it.

She didnt want to stand up so early, enjoying the sleep so much more. In sleep she could watch so many dragons at once, ensuring they were all safe. Her eyes closed before the body shrunk down to size of a child.A blond girl with pale skin, eyes blue and a small sleepy smile on face. There was no time to sleep, today was a beautifully day. Many dragons were still arriving and the Aging Festival was starting today. Many more dragons already arrived. As the Grand-grandmother she couldnt just hide in her home. Taking a deep breath she sat up.
The Grand-grandmother walked towards her mirror deciding what to wear today.

This days were days of happiness for so many dragons. Some will age older in the upcoming days, feeling pride and greatness for what they are. Some would come to catch up with old friends they didnt see, talking and celebrating reunions and sharing discoveries they may have made in this wide world. There will be dragons who would court each other in this good atmosphere and many eggs may be made. Love and flirt was in the air just as much the smell of many hard working dragons.

Mirazan chuckled to herself as she decide to wear a dark blue dress with a fitting top hat, a white scarf around her neck. Getting herself a apple from the bowl on the kitchen table, as she walked out in the sunlight breathing it in with deep breaths. She could see the children fly and play around, hearing the talking of the dragons close by.
The tribe always became so overly lively in this days, many dragons with the right type of magic made plants grow faster bearing many fruits, berries and vegetables for the many mounts that needed filling. A chicken run under her dress as it was escaping a dragons child gasp. Leaving the girl shake her head at it. A sorry from the dragon thrown at her as it still hunt that white panicked bird. Such a lovely chaos, like every festival.

Something else made Mirazan happy for today, and that was the lack of humans in the surroundings of the tribe. The old magic shield would protect them but still ... nothing is perfect. She feared those creatures. Not liking how close their city actually bloomed by the tribe she cherished so much. But for now they didnt trouble them. So she let them live. Many of the dragons would go to the city to explore and satisfy their curiosity. She hoped there will not be trouble arsing from this. Sometimes even she would go for a trip, trying to ensure no one will come after them. Studying humans. Keep friends close, keep fears even closer.

Turning back to her dragon form she flapped her wings strongly raising her body off the ground. Slowly flying over the tribe. Greeting and welcoming the dragons in her passing. Mirazan knew how hard the grandpas and grandmas worked, being there for any dragon that felt the need to show respect by greeting the one stronger then him upon arriving. And beside it all helping the youngsters with their magic. She was grateful for their help just as grateful she was that she could protect the other dragons. As the dragons tribe passed under her, she wondered to herself. Everything was build by dragons in it. But still there could be seen the occasional house made by a dragon inspired by human architecture. The mixture of things, were just as board as the beliefs and ideas the dragons followed.

Soon even the grand-grandmother landed between a dragon group, greeting her old friends and enjoying the reunion times.

The days of the Aging Festival have arrived.

Chu
The man grinned as he watched a crack on a egg grow with the raising of the sun. Chu loved children and spent a lot of his day in the care of the tribes nursery and babies. Loving to tell them tails of the great love between dragons. Having fun to explain the feeling of failing of love and tease them with not telling how eggs are exactly made. Retelling tells he as a small baby listened too.

Chu was a dragon who spent a lot of his time in his compact form, preferring it over his dragon form. Which was, well to Chu words not extremely practical under the company of many extremely big dragons. And with it he had quite the curiosity for humans, under which he didnt had to fear to being stomped on by mistake. He spent lots of time under them, trying to satisfy his curiosity and finding them fascinated. Sure a few times there were close calls and he had to hide away for a while. Even so his home in the dragons tribe was a small self build home just like the humans had...well nearly Chu couldnt wrap his head around how they manged to make any of their machines work. Even less how the light-bulbs shine or the sense of all those pipes. It was really confusing him. His home was full of the human trinkets and cogs of all sizes.

'' Is it cracking?'' Chu head snapped to the side seeing another dragon who spent lots of time in the nursery.
''Yup, it may hatch on the festival, such a lucky little one. '' Chu winked to him, only to get his head ruffled in return, which made him frown. '' I wonder if the parents of the eggs will come to this festival.''
''I will check to see if they are. You can watch it in mean time no?'' Chu offered standing up and stretching himself fixing his jacket up.
''Just dont end up flirting with everything that has a tail bunny. You may end up getting sat on. ''
Chu got teased at which he made a false laugh rolling his eyes.
''Do not worry we two will make a egg, darling. My body may be small but my heart and stamina are enough for the whole tribe, including you~'' Che send just as a teasingly, a flying kiss to his friend before rushing away. Mostly to avoid a ball of water to hit him in the face, for his tease.
Searching for some of the dragons he knew to have fun, and maybe find the parents of the hatching egg on the way.

Flying through the morning skies was a large dragon with glimmering scales of red purple and blue, ever changing as the light hit them differently. Aster clapped his large wings in a slow strong beat, though his left at times stuttered a bit. His powerful jaws carrying a large dragon size basket made from the wood in the forest where he lived. Inside was filled with large fruits known as Dragon Fruit, a delicious sweet red fruit that was very large and round. It was a nice meal for any dragon and highly nutritious. Making a nice gift for the tribe and the elders.

Today was the first day of the festival, and although he hardly spoke to anyone, he still enjoyed attending the lively atmosphere. So everything was quite exciting.

As he breached the invisible shield that protected the tribe, his glowing purple eyes widened a little as a feminine voice shouted out from the basket.

"Are we there yet? These fruit are kinda squishing me!" called the voice.

Aster blinked before glancing down to see a human girl with red hair and emerald green eyes wave up at him cheekily from the confines of his basket. Of course he freaked out a bit as he lost a bit of focus, causing his weak left wing to collapse. Falling down toward the large clearing where dragons were mingling. Hissing, he flapped as hard as he could, trying to regain balance and control.

Thankfully, he managed to land on his feet, with only a few stumbles and clumsy trips. Luckily, he had landed on no dragons, especially the much smaller ones.

Setting down the basket, he quickly snaked his large body around it to hide it from view and cover the scent before glaring at the human girl who was laughing at the rush from their plummet.

"Man when you fall, you fall with style!" The human grinned.

"What are you doing? I told you, you can't be here. Humans aren't allowed in the tribe. Tsk... Mirazan will tan my hide for this." Aster hissed quietly as he lifted his head occasionally to look around in case anyone got close.

This was Myrtle, a human girl from a human city. She calls herself a pilot, or engineer and she makes some of the odd machines dragons had always been curious about. Before, she had tracked him down and asked him to bring her to the festival so she could learn more about dragons to possibly help make better flying machines. Of he declined, since the tribe forbid humans.

Of course she apparently snuck into his basket and hitched a ride. She was stubborn apparently but still full of life, she was much like her great grandfather, Zafine.

Before Myrtle could say anything, Aster covered the top of the basket with a large paw and talons as he looked up and saw a dragon in his compact form moving around.
Damia

Yawning a little as she slept amongst the children dragonlings in their little cave, she slowly raised her heads as the morning suitor peaked inside. The emerald green dragon gave a loud yawn with both of her heads before slithering outside, her wings folded against her long back. A grin appearing on both expressions at the sight of gathering dragons, some that lived in this tribe, some living elsewhere.

"Oh what a great day for the Festival! I can't wait to meet with the other dragons and hear about their adventures!" Damia's left head spoke excitedly as she looked around while the right head smirked in excitement as well.

"I can't wait to hear about any epic battles some dragons may have had! Maybe burning down villages or territory skirmishes!" The right head spoke out.

Slithering along the ground, her long body moving smoothly, her golden eyes looking around excitedly as she looked around for a dragon she thought would be nice to talk to.

Aksaja flew through the air his blue scales shimmering in the sun light and his feathered wings were beating hard as he flew towards the dragon tribe. Today was the beginning of the festival of aging and soon Aksaja will prove to the elders that he could earn the right to be an adult, even if Aksaja couldn't control his powers completely. Aksaja flew through the skies until he got to the tribe and he would look down to see all the different homes with such variety some looking like human domiciles while others would be a general dragons lair.

Aksaja himself however had a mountain he would stay on to be as close to the sky as possible which wasn't an uncommon thing for a lightning dragon at least that's what Aksaja thought. Aksaja wanted to train as much as possible before the elders would call him and make him prove he has aged since Aksaja is still having trouble to control his lightning when it hits metal and just becomes overheated instead of becoming an electrical circuit that Aksaja hopes to do knowing that the humans relied on electricity and if Aksaja can learn to destroy all at once then dragons would have an advantage in a fight. Right now however Aksaja needed to go and greet the elders remembering what his mother once told him "Aksaja whenever you go to an aging festival you must greet and show your respect to your elders" and knowing that Aksaja was only a teenager he knew he had a lot of people to say hi to before he could even think of training his wings off again. Aksaja landed on the ground nearby and decided he would go to the highest powers possible which were the grand-grandmothers and fathers to say his respect.

soon when Aksaja brushed past a few other dragons by slithering around them to get to the area that Aksaja heard was where the grand-grandmothers and fathers generally stayed during the festival and thankfully Aksaja found them and he went to the one that seemed the least threatening to bite his head off that was their, obviously Aksaja was over exaggerating but he didn't like how much bigger or stronger they are knowing that they could hurt Aksaja if they wanted so Aksaja went over to the white dragon nearby known as Mirazan. Aksaja heard that her birth was one of the longest in history and if nobody else Aksaja needed to respect her so he went over to her and bowed his head putting one arm across his chest " It is an honor to see you Mirazan. I came in the hopes to show you my respect for your power and hope you enjoy the festival" Aksaja said obviously being formal in addressing her since this was the first time that he has done this and wasn't sure the protocol or what would happen if Aksaja just walked up to a grand-grandmother and said hi like any other dragon...

Sealameet

Four giant wings spread out soaking in the morning sun rays. The huge beast let out a yawn, opening it's huge maw revealing the rows of teeth. Sealameet's size was a sight to behold. There were of course larger dragons for even he could be considered young amongst a good portion of dragons but it still didn't make the site any less breathtaking, even if his scales didn't glimmer in the sunlight and of his odd features. Fur traveled down from the top of his head to the end of his tail, moving in the morning breeze. His horns, which on either side were larger then the average human height, were the only things that might of reflected some sunlight.

Sealameet lifted his body from the ground, figuring he had rested enough after his morning meal and that he should make his way to the tribe once more. With more and more dragons coming each day, it allowed him to see the newer generation as well as his own extended family. Not only was the festival for those wishing to jump in ages, it was a time to reconnect with his own family one that seemed to only grow over every few centuries. No doubt this year would be no different, at least fifty years ago his parents had spoken about having another clutch of eggs and perhaps now they would. In the first two generations they had given birth too though, Sealameet was the only one who had yet to take on a partner and he knew that would be a conversation he would have to deal with once more.

As he took flight, the trees groaned and ached at the rushing wind below his powerful wings and then he was off, soaring high into the sky enjoying the morning's warmth and the wind rushing past him. It seemed to only be seconds to him before he was landing once more on the ground near the outskirts of the tribe where there were dragons all ready gathering. He folded his wings up and made his way over to a few other dragons to great them and honor the elder generation amongst them.

Lucatiel

She let out a groan as she awoke. She was definitely not much of a morning dragon to say the least. Her love for this time of day only showed when she had once gathered some form of breakfast to eat. She slithered out of her cave letting the sun rays soak into her wings, waking her up slightly as she took off, still partially asleep but none the less she had to make it to the tribe. Despite being tired still, the one thing she loved about the festival were the returning friends as well as family, especially one older brother in particular. He had seen the world and she wanted to do the same but until she found the time, his stories would be the best thing to keep her curiosity satisfied.

Upon arriving to the tribe she could all ready seen many had gathered, some were in groups while others were walking and squeezing by. She could no doubt imagine more were in compact forms as well fitting far better in the built tribe then a rather huge dragon could. Her eyes began to look around for family as well as friends, along with perhaps some new faces she could make friends with.

Vesperia

Bare toes wiggled while dangling over one side of the forgotten temple's stone pathway, the exact one Vesperia crossed over as an ill wyrmling long ago. Not able to sleep a wink since yesterday she was lost in perpetual thought when Acerbus appeared underneath the cave entrance in compact form, even nearing his Twilight years his features were regal and confident. Every wrinkle present on his creased face gave him a look of distinction. Ivory fibers were spread throughout chestnut colored strands reaching past his elbows and even along his full beard ever apparent in the sun’s rays.

"Vesperia.” His voice softly called out to the woman staring into the rocky azure abyss below her feet. “It is time for the festival. Surely you do not wish to be late." His head tilted to the side as he inquired with a maternal smile.

He would not be attending this festival of ageing and had not shown up to dragon tribe celebrations in centuries. In fact, it had been eons since he had even ventured far from this cave. Each day the timeworn dragon grew weaker and rested what little energy was left in case of imposing threats. They had not discussed his inevitable death or what would become of her after his passing. As for necessities she would want for nothing since his boundless treasure and the massive hide-a-way would be left for her. Even though many dragons cherish these things she'd feel ever so lonely and would not know how to spend her days without his company. He chucked to himself knowing exactly what she was thinking during the silence.

”Come now, there will be time for discussion in due time.” Acerbus comforted and each word managed to subside a bit of her worry while rising to walk over to him.

"Alright." She nodded in agreement. ”You have always been so kind to me. Thank you Acerbus.” They exchanged a heartfelt hug before she headed inside to gather her gifts of impressive gems. She did not bring enough for every dragon as these were precious and archaic so only potential long term friends would receive them.
A menacing form took flight and soared through chilly air, which passed through many open spaces along her frayed wings. It was a mystery how they managed to keep her adrift but she was quite good at flying none-the-less. Neon violet glowed along her spiked neck and toward the tips of her wings. At night one could mistake her for a shooting star since the rest of her body seamlessly blended into the black cosmic speckled sky.

As the location drew nearer her hydra like body lowed completely until her compact feet touched upon the soil. In her dragon form she felt most venerable and always transformed whenever possible. It would be a long stroll to reach the others but this was the way it had to be she thought wearily. This whole ordeal posed extremely nerve racking as she was quite shy but would have to come out of her shell, and introduce herself to others eventually. Hands were shaking while not knowing what to expect and she even halted a few time in mid-step, wanting to return back home.
After much inner turmoil and pep talks a light sigh escaped before inhaling deeply to gain further courage. Bare feet timidly crossed over the protective barrier as she set a finger on her bottom lip in nervousness, her shoulder still toting a black velvet bag with priceless gifts inside. As she strolled closer the bottom of her strapless dress trailed behind beautifully like a wedding train. The silk hue matched the violet flecks in her eyes. Just like her egg had been, her eyes retained black irises with glimmering amethyst. She was unable to don a veil to cover her large horns since the wind had been relentless. She twirled a lock of platinum hair around her index finger and scanned the area of full grown dragons in and out of their magnificent forms. She saw ones with lengthy slender horns and others with round shaped tails, every creature unique and fascinating in their own way.

Tarkus

The earth started to rumble and shake as an earthquake ripped through the volcanic peaks to the far north. However the true culprit made himself known as Tarkus ripped through the earth in a shower of lava and stone, giving a mighty roar that could be heard for hundreds of miles. Shaking his massive body of any lava that may have gotten stuck in between his scales, Tarkus gave a massive sigh as he began to leave his little bath. It was a practice he had picked up hundreds of years ago, the lava would burn away any parasites that would find their way onto his skin. However after several hundred years of this practice most of his scales had lost the shine they had and instead were replaced with hardened rock that added to his already fearsome visage.

Now that he was out and about, Tarkus began to search for something to eat. Idly, Tarkus realized that he hadn't eaten anything in months and it was becoming apparent. Thankfully he didn't have to eat much, if he was like the smaller dragons than he would most likely destroy whole ecosystems in his hunger. No, he just needed one solid meal every six months or so which gave him a lot of time for other things, like art. A new favorite of his was to carve great works of art into the earth with his great talons, however only beings with flight could see the whole picture. Otherwise they just looked like trenches that went on for miles.

Unfurling his great wings, Tarkus took flight with several mighty flaps and was off. For a dragon his size, he went at a decent pace that would easily keep up with even the fastest dragons. As he soared through the skies, the volcanic landscape of his home falling behind him, Tarkus flew over towards the oceans in search of a beast suitable for his hunger. After several hours of flight, Tarkus found himself on the open ocean and began to scan it for available food. However all he could find were whales and he wasn't about to eat those, they were too gentle to be considered food. Tarkus was about to give up when he saw a commotion.

Passing over a human ship, Tarkus saw that it was being assailed by great tentacles that seemed intent on causing a great ruckus. A Kraken, that will do. Circling around the boat, Tarkus angled himself downwards before extending his forearms in front of him. Letting out a titanic roar, Tarkus shook the Kraken and most likly caused a mass bowel release from the already terrified sailors before grabbing the offending squid and lifting it up into the air.

After a brief struggle, Tarkus carried off his catch to a more stable place to eat.
Several days later, Tarkus found himself close to the tribe that hosted the festival. With a sigh, Tarkus hoped that no one challenged him to a fight. He had been in too many conflicts as of late to be interested at all for any more. However he was looking forwards to meeting someone, it was about time he did. Plus, its what Vasarah would have wanted him to be happy and he was currently being the opposite locked up in his ash lands.

With a shake of the head, Tarkus came upon the border of the tribe's field. Flying inside the tribe Tarkus soared over many dragons, most almost all much smaller than him. After about half a minute of flying, Tarkus found a clearing and landed with a heavy thud that sent a rumble through the earth. With a grimace, Tarkus hoped that nothing important broke. After flying for so long, Tarkus stretched out and decided to lay down for a bit before trying to join any conversations.

Mirazan

She was having a light talk when she noticed a young dragon approaching her. The blue dragon bowed his head down, making her smile showing her just as white teeth.
" It is an honor to see you Mirazan. I came in the hopes to show you my respect for your power and hope you enjoy the festival"
Keeping the formal tone just as the young teen dragon did, she cleared her own thought and spoke.
''I welcome you to the Aging festival young one. I hope you will impress us with your magic, and grow older to a adult. ''
She leaned her head towards Aksaja and sniffed him, before in a gently fashion nuzzling him with her head. Raising it back up to look at him,her tail slowly swinging. '' Keep your hard training up.'' She encouraged him, watching him with great caring look. Winking at him after a moment. '' And make lots of friends, Aksaja.''
Chu

He was having a stroll, looking around and up to the dragons that fly by. Some so big that Chus dragon body could fit on their small nail. Feeling a short wave of paranoia passing him, from the image, he shock his head to clear it up. No need to worry, Chu spoke to himself. He was in his compact form which was big enough for most dragons to actually look out for, mostly so to not harm by mistake each other.
He spotted on the sky a shimmering dragon with a big scared wing, just in the moment when it appeared he lost balance.
Watching with a small worry from his place, not like Chu was going to run under a falling dragon.First he couldt do something like catching him. Second he had faith the other will not hurt himself. Aster managed to land, instead of crash landing., much to Chu's relive. He made his way over. Stepping with his bare feet over the earth, not hurrying too much. If you have feet shaped as dragons feet, human shoes felt extremely uncomfortably. On other hand his magic was earth based, he liked to feel the vibration that traveled thought the earth. Like that big thud that announced clearly to Chu that grandpa Tarkus has arrived and landed.

'' Hey you fine? Got me worried seeing your wing give in up there.'' Chu came up to Aster, looking over the basket. His nose twitching in a pretty similar fashion like a bunnies. '' What can I smell there~?'' Chu went up right to the basket, at least trying too as the other was hiding it with his body and wings, sniffing it up. A wide grin on his face as he looked up to meet the dragons eyes.

''You bad, bad dragon.'' He pouted waving his finger, cutting Aster off, as he continued to speak. '' Hiding away a basket of dragon fruits, instead to share it. Were you trying to keep it a secret? To eat them all yourself. Arent I your friend!''

Chu joked putting his hands behind his head, stretching again. ''How have you been the past few years?'' He said with a more relaxed tone to his voice.

Sealameet

Sealameet broke away from one group of dragons he had been conversing with after awhile figuring it would be best to perhaps attempt to communicate with other dragons who were in their compact form instead. He wandered off to find a more secluded area to change forms, he preferred to change forms in private rather then out in the open with other dragons around. Upon finding a place some ways off near the border of the tribe, in a grove of trees, he morphed shapes, his form shrinking and soon was in a human form.

This human form looked to be in his mid twenties, with messy brown hair that covered two points petrudin from his skull. His eyes still held their reptilian shape as well as having another set of eyelids. The clothes this form had on covered up the fact that scales traced down the back of his spin along with a bit of the white fur he had in his normal form. Most dragons would catch on to these differences with ease but for the sake of blending in with humans, it worked and no one seemed to take any real notice besides the occasional second glance if they spotted something off about him. Upon finishing the change, he walked back to the tribe and walked amongst the dragons once more, both those in compact form as well as those in their true forms. It was easier to traverse this way amongst the dragons around him instead of remaining in his true form.

As he passed other dragons his eyes scanned the many other compact form dragons until they fell on a rather unique form that he was certain he had never seen at the festival before of all the years he visited. She appeared somewhat nervous, with the way she was twirling her finger through some platinum hair of hers. The dress she had on Sealameet would have to say was quite impressive and stunning. What captivated him the most though was the two horns coming from her skull, this was a first to him to ever behold such a sight, most horns usually were hidden or rather small, the ones on this person though were not. It was odd yet also somehow exotic and unique to behold to him. He decided upon greeting her after awhile and made his way past a few dragons before reaching her side.

"Welcome to the Tribe," he said hoping to of not startled her with his approach ",I couldn't help to notice you look new here. I'm Sealameet."

He looked up smiling wide at her and he nodded at her "thank you mirazan, I promise I won't disappoint" he said bowing again before he slithered away towards the training area and aksaja grabbed a steel pipe and stuck it into the ground and he used his breath power and tried to electrify the steel pipe and only send an electrical current through it and unfortunately like so many other attempts it ended up melting by overcharge and he only wished he could understand what was wrong, if he could figure it out then hee could learn to use metal to his advantage in fights from now on....

Aster stiffened as he watched the brown haired compact form dragon head towards them, whispering to Mytle to stay in the basket and hide, before the large shimmering dragon shifted into his compact form, knowing this particular dragon felt more comfortable with it. His bangs over his eyes to hide their glowing purple hue, while his long low ponytailed red hair hung over his toned back. Since he had no need to hide his more obvious dragon part, he slightly brushed his bangs out of his eyes to look at Chu properly. Tugging at the large scarf around his neck a little nervously.

Chu was a nice dragon if not odd. He was one of the ones who spoke to him, and didn't really have cruel things to say. He joked a lot, but otherwise was pretty nice to everyone. Though he was known to be a flirtatious dragon. Aster of course, despite knowing he was joking around, tended to get more reactive to it since he just wasn't used to it. No one ever really spoke to him like that, so who wouldn't blame him for ending up blushing like a teenage dragoness?

"Mhmm yeah... Wings bothering me again is all."" Aster replied as Chu noted his fall, unconsciously touching the scar on the right side of his face.

Stiffening as the fellow male started investigating the basket, he opened his mouth to make up some sort of pitiable excuse. Before he gave a slight sigh of relief as the Dragon's Fruit sweet juicy smell managed to cover the human scent. Though, if anyone was to discover Myrtle, Aster would prefer it be Chu. He's one of those Dragons that are curious about humans and would at least not react violently.

Though, he wasn't sure how the earth dragon would react with a human in the dragons home during the festival. It wasn't really a normal thing that happened.

"They're for everyone. Don't worry, you can have one after I give the elders some. You know Mirazan always likes getting first picks when I bring some." Aster responded, a slight smile at the corner of his lips as the bare footed male joked.

Thinking on the question asked as he briefly glanced at the basket that had now been the only 'excitement' during the past hundred years. "...Nothing much like usual. Been quiet where I live. Only a few curious humans passing by. How about you?" Aster asked.

Myrtle was listening to the conversation from the basket, hidden between some Dragon Fruit. Though Aster had told her to stay, she came here to see socialization between Dragon's, their customs and their flying! She couldn't do that from here. So like the stubborn girl she was, she climbed out of the fruit before peeking her head over the edge of the giant sized basket to spot a boy with dark red hair, a white shirt and dark pants. A scarf waving lightly in the wind. He was speaking with another boy with brown hair and a jacket. The odd thing was his feet were not human, they were full of scales and dragon like.

The red head blinked her emerald eyes as she looked around. Some were dragons of all different shapes and sizes, some walked around as what looked like humans. Dragons could shape shift as well? Man they were sure magical. They could have been living under humans noses.

Grinning, she put her bag on her back and kneeled down to adjust her brown boots that had some cogs on the side. With that, she jumped down, her left heel kicking the right to activate her boots. The bottoms blasted winded and slowed her fall so she was floating until she was neatly on the ground again. Good thing she brought some of her tech with her.

"Geez Star boy way to ignore me eh?" the human grinned, watching as Aster snapped his head to look at her before nervously looking around and grabbing her with his powerful hands and pulled her in close. "Ow ow ow ow okay no need squeeze, you're stronger than you look." Myrtle laughed with a teasing grin.

"I told you not to get out!" Aster hissed, facepalming with his right hand and letting out a groan. Hoping the Dragon Fruit and his own scents will deter other dragons not close enough to discover the human. Glancing at Chu, who probably could smell at the close distance, Aster opened his mouth to say something before closing it again. Too unsure what exactly to say in this predicament.

Vesperia

Another dragon flew overhead but this one casted a ginormous shadow upon the ground that spanned many feet until finally settling a ways away with a thunderous thump. Earth below her feet rumbled from the massive collision and she could not help but smile in amusement at his impressive arrival. Soon enough a nearby voice caught her attention and the velvet bag slipped from her grasp and landed with an entrancing ting sound on the floor. After hastily bending with knees to pick up and then place one strap back upon her bare shoulder doe eyes were able to attain a good look at the kind stranger. As she raised her head and then straightened back up to stand she noted his tall and sure stance.

“Oh, h-hello…Um, greetings and thank you.” She said with a nervous smile and adjusted bangs that swayed to the side and came to a point near her quaint nose.

“My name is Vesperia, pleasure to meet you Sealameet.” Seemingly enough she had regained composer of herself and nodded in acknowledgement of his name.
Her angelic face seemed to perk up with his sentence about noticing her but soon enough she began to nibble on her bottom lip. Unsure whether or not being noticed was particularly a good thing at once but she put that wonder in the back of her mind and offered a warm smile.

“Yes. This would be my first time gathering here.” Shadowy eyes danced among the others for a bit, overwhelmed. “The tribe near my home is much smaller than this I must admit but I am so happy to be here.” Even among her anxiety she managed to look on the bright side and keep a pleasant demeanor.

As she began to speak once again she noticed something swiftly gliding through the atmosphere near them, it was a jagged tail from a large dragon unaware of the compact forms near it. Vesperia grasped onto Sealameet’s hand and pulled him out of the way so they could both miss the whiplash. She would have otherwise formed a dark magic barrier to protect them but showing that element this soon was far more uncomfortable than grabbing onto another dragons hand.

“Uh, excuse us.” She politely said to the older beast that turned to meet eyes that were not at his level, he then dropped his gaze to them.

“Pardon me young ones.” He said jovially and then proceeded to wander off toward a different group of dragons with vibrant scales.

“Terribly sorry.” Remembering that she was still clutching his hand she let go. A rose tinted blush appeared below her eyes in embarrassment and she intertwined her hands together instead.

“Do you have family here?” Quickly she changed the subject and proceeded with idle chit chat, unsure what would be polite to ask him since they were just newly acquainted.

Sealameet

Sealameet gave a chuckle watching as the large dragon lumbered off to a group of other dragons."I thank you Vesperia for saving me from being a smear on the ground," he said then realizing her hand was in his. A slight red tone colored his cheeks before she swiftly removed her hand from his and changed to new subject. He smiled at the question.

"Yes indeed I do, a family that never seems to stop growing," he chuckled ",Too many siblings to keep track of. I'm surprised I haven't mistakenly ran into one of them all ready, but I do not mind so much running into you." He added again a slight red coming to his face in what he said and hope it didn't turn her away. He continued on speaking to hopefully have the remark overlooked.

"So what about you. You said you lived near a smaller tribe. Any family there or no? That is if I may ask," he said knowing that some dragons had no family and was just as common a fate as those with one. He didn't mind talking about his family but for others it could be a delicate subject so he didn't want to push it if she did not wish to talk about it.

Lucatiel

Lucatiel eventually changed to her compact form to have a better time with moving through the many dragons that were gathered around. So far she had seen no family members which to her was just fine since her goals had shifted from finding family to making some new friends and acquaintances. She eventually found herself in the training area where a few of the dragons who were trying to go up in age were practicing. One caught her attention quite suddenly, a dragon who was trying to use electricity on metal. The results was the metal melting into a metallic puddle. This seemed to be not the results the dragon had wanted judging by the look of disappointment he had. Most of this appeared as a slight blur in her eyesight but she could make out forms easily.

Lucatiel shifted forms once more, being her true self and went over to him."Hey what are trying to do?" She asked curiously as she was behind him ",Oh I guess I should introduce myself, I'm Lucatiel." Now it was only a matter of wondering how he would react to her appearance. From what she could tell she wasn't elegant like most female dragons, at least what she had heard through whispers around others.

The sound of machinery and life outside slowly woke Jeonbae up from his inn room in the city he had been trading in for the past few weeks. He glanced over at his timepiece on the side table, and jolted upward as he realized what time it was. The Aging festival was scheduled to happen today, and while he wasn't going to be testing to become a GreatGrandpa quite yet, he was looking forward to see the progress other dragons had made. However, he had slept in late, and now had very little time to get his belongings ready. He quickly buttoned a shirt on and pulled on the sarouel, then moved over to the other side of the room in a few strides to grab his purple robe from one of the hooks on the wall, donning it rather unceremoniously. He quickly threw on a scarf and pulled some gloves over his draconic hands then adjusted his round, dark glasses on his nose, making sure to also tie a bandanna over his head to cover his horns. He had traded everything that he brought away and moved all the money to his home in the dragon tribe, so the only other thing he had to take was a small bag of coin and the room key, both of which he snatched off the table. He hadn't brought his staff with him either, leaving it at the tribe. He'd have to run a while, he couldn't transform into his dragon form in the middle of the street without people noticing.

He clambered down the stairs as fast as he could into the lobby, the scents of motor oil and smoke right outside the door. Fishing the key out of one of his pockets, he placed it on the desk loudly and gave a quick thanks to the receptionist before dashing out the door. He ran down the street, dodging steam-powered vehicles and other people. Soon enough, he reached the edge of town. It was still a while until the dragon tribe, but now that he was away from prying eyes, he could easily fly the rest of the way. He shifted into his dragon form, flying straight up into the clouds.

Soon enough, after half an hour or so of flying, the light ripples of the magical shield surrounding the tribe came into view. Jeonbae started descending towards the ground, passing through the shield without interference. The central area of the tribe was already filled with dragons in their compact form, having conversations or just waiting around for the ceremonies to start. Jeonbae landed on the dry earth, switching back to his compact form. He looked around the crowds, trying to find someone he knew. He couldn't see anyone he recognized, but he would first have to go talk to Mirazan, the GreatGrandmother. As he approached her, he noticed another dragon, probably a teen or so, blue scales with feathered wings, slithering over to the training area. He smiled, he liked to see other dragons making an effort to get stronger, it was kind of empowering in a way. He turned back to Mirazan, and bowed.

"Good afternoon, Mirazan. Apologies for being late," Jeonbae said, smiling slightly. "It doesn't seem like they've figured out where the tribe is, so we have nothing to worry about for now. Nothing to report."
"If you need anything from me, please let me know." He bowed again and walked away, going over to the training area where that other dragon was going. He saw the same blue-scaled dragon breathing electrical breath on a steel pipe, along with another dragon, a white dragon with jagged horns that he hadn't seen before. As the blue dragon kept breathing electrical energy on the pipe, it quickly melted into a puddle, a look of disappointment crossing over the dragon's face. Jeonbae, who had been watching, spoke up.
"You want to concentrate on making the breath a little less strong, if you can control it," he said, taking off his gloves, glasses and bandana. "Too much electricity can make a lot of heat, causing metal to melt." He grabbed another pipe and stuck it in the ground, holding a clawed hand out. Electricity arced towards the pipe, but it didn't melt. After a few seconds, Jeonbae concentrated more power into the electricity, and the pipe started to melt.
"Sort of like the first time, I guess. I can help you train if you like, I remember the aging festival being a pretty big deal for me when I was a teen" he said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. "By the way, my name's Jeonbae" he spoke up again, smiling a tiny bit.

Winterink

Winter stretched and walked out of her cave to the wide, swift flowing river and took a drink. The sun glinted off her ice-white scales and melted the fluffy snowflakes drifting from her scales as they rubbed against themselves. Winter sat up from where she was sitting, licking water off her muzzle, her face turned towards the warm rays of the sun. She yawned, her bluish-white teeth glinting like ice. Every thing about her gave off this wintry look, as if she was winter itself. She unfurled her wings and stood, arching her spine to pop all the kinks out. Better get going. I wanna get there before noon. She thought to herself. She stretched her legs and wings, getting warmed up.

She started a smooth lope that soon turned into a run. She ran towards the cliff that created the waterfall and jumped off the edge. Her wings spread wide open, catching the air like a pair of shimmering sails. Winter rarely flew by the village in the sun, for if you looked at her in the sun, her scales which were shimmery lik ice, you would be blinded by the sun that reflected off her body. She flew with ease, her wings rotating in their sockets. Winter increased her speed, the wind whistling in her round ears. Winter rumbled in happiness. Or was it her stomach? She hadn't eaten yet so it could be. Oh well she would eat when she got there.A few hours later she was there, seeing the other dragons, she circled in the air as she looked for a place to land. I hope my scales aren't blinding anyone. She thought.

She saw an opening and landed smoothly a few feet away from the other dragons, most of which were in their compact forms, sure that if she got any closer she would blind everybody. This was only her second festival and she didnt know anybody here. She shifted into her compact form and walked forward nervously, fiddling with her whiteblonde hair.

Vesperia

“…but I do not mind so much running into you.”

What was once a fairly light rosy hue began manifesting into a very noticeable full blown blushing upon her cheekbones. Her head lowered slightly before stormy orbs glanced off toward a different direction for a minute to regain the normal pigmentation of her skin. Finding herself speechless at that moment she could not help but wonder if it was too good to be true. Had she found a possible friend already—this soon? Sealameet must have understood how shy his charming comment ended up making her feel and quickly changed the subject.

"So what about you. You said you lived near a smaller tribe. Any family there or no? That is if I may ask." The reptilian eyed man inquired in a friendly manner.

“Oh, of course you may.” She gladly reassured for there was no question she would not answer, even about magic--no matter how uncomfortable that topic would be.

“My family is supposedly alive and well…I think they are frequent travelers to distant lands--though I am not sure why.” Quizzically she replied while scratching the side of her head near her crown like horn.

”I often imagine they are rather important and deal in warfare. ” A light laugh followed the end of that sentence as she still sounded like an enthusiastic teen dragon in denial.

“Anyways…Having such a large family must be lovely Sealameet. I live with my guardian GrandGrandpa dragon whose name is Acerbus. He’s taken care of me since I was young and has been a wonderful father figure. He’s quite old now but still as wise as ever.” This statement made her a little sad inside speaking of the elder but her somber emotion could only be seen deep within her eyes.

“Um, I know it’s much too soon but I’ve brought gifts and I think you should have one.” She reached into her velvet bag and took out an almost normal looking rock. Most would arch a brow in uncertainty, why would someone offer a plain ole’ piece of rubble but she quickly explained.

“It may look like nothing special but it’s truly priceless and not of this world. I find that notion quite special in and of itself. Acerbus says this meteorite is even older than the earth.” She smiled not knowing if that fact held any weight but she had never dare question him before especially about something as important as treasure.

Her small palm opened and she held out her hand for him to take the peculiar black space mass with cracks of silver streaking throughout. All these rocks and gems in her bag were significant and held a memory in her mind of a happier time. Although most dragons would never know the meaning behind their given gift she figured this was the best gesture to offer as friendship. She held nothing else of great value or worth but wanted to show her respect to her fellow dragons, and try to put past the horrible recollection of previous tribe incidents.

“I don’t want to keep you, I am sure there are others wanting to converse with you…but would you mind pointing out locations of interest that may be fun to visit?”

Sealameet

"It can be quite... Chaotic," he chuckled describing his family. He did enjoy his large family but at times it was too much for him which had been one of the reasons he had traveled for so long. When he heard about Acerbus, the name struck some recollection, perhaps he had stopped at the tribe she had been near while on his journey's but he couldn't remember. He took notice of a deep sadness that seemed to fill her eyes mentioning the dragon but she quickly moved on.

He raised a brow at a mention of a gift, his curiosity interested on what she was giving him. When it appeared to be an ordinary rock he did find it somewhat unusual, but kept the fact to himself and let Vesperia explain what it was and what it meant to her. He smiled and reached his hand to hers and took the meteorite.

"Well if that is the case then I shall treasure it. Kind of reminds me of an old story from a human civilization that has sadly past on by now to this new age," he said thinking about it and holding the rock to his eye before pocketing it to keep it safe ",I thank you for the gift, but I'm ashamed I have nothing to give back at the moment. Perhaps later we can talk some more and I might have something then. To answer your other question well there's the training area where those who are aiming to go up in age shall be at working on their skills before the competition. The crystal shop is a personal favorite of mine, my sister runs that, I'm sure she would be thrilled to meet you. She could make friend's with a rock if she wanted." The thought of his sister made him realize that he longed to see her. It had been another ten years since he had seen her and as usually he worried about her. By now she was capable to care for herself but it didn't make him stop feeling that he was responsible for her. She had long gotten over the scrutiny of other dragons.

"Along with that there's the forest to the north which is prime hunting territory and no humans at least last I hunted there, there wasn't any. The mountains are a good place to warm yourself if you desire to do so. The shimmering waterfalls to the east, a calming place to relax and swim. That's about it that I can name but you'll no doubt find loads of other stuff as well. Take care and see you around."

aksaja sighed softly as he failed in another attempt to make the electrical current flow in the bar instead of turning it into a puddle before looking around to see a female talking to him looking at her seeing what she called herself and he decided to make his first friend " uh hi my name is aksaja its nice to meet you Lucatiel im just practicing for the fight trying to get this move down." aksaja was about to explain what he was doing until he looked up to see a grand grandfather talking to him and aksaja felt a small chill go down his spine wondering what he would want with a teen dragon like him. Then he saw that he was trying to explain how to do his trick right, he understood he needed to lower his breath strength but he just didn't understand how to do that without making it a small puff of breath that wont make a current last for a millisecond seeing what he did "oh um thank you mister Jeonbae. I would love the training if you wouldn't mind, I try to get it to work but if I try normally it melts and if I try to make it weaker all I make is a small puff of a spark that wont work" aksaja said explaining what he was trying to do but he was glad he found a lightning dragon as well and even better that he was a grand grandfather to help him and he wanted to get acknowledged as an adult as soon as possible.

Winter walked forward and fingered her long hai nervously. She didn't know any of the dragons here. Her slitted blue eyes darted around, hoping someone would notice her and talk to her. So she sat down near a pair of dragons who were talking to each other, picking up the name Selameet and another one she was sure started with a V. But she did not listen to their conversation out of respect and just sat there, feeling lonelier than when she had woken up not knowing who she was or where she wad from.

Winter forced back tears as she remembered the Grandpa dragon who had helped her back then. He was the only friend she had had. She got up and started wandering around, not paying attention to where she was going. She hummed a little lullaby she had heard a human woman sing to her child when she went into the village at nighttime.Winter hummed and played with a ball of snow in her hands, pulling it this way and that, shaping it into a baby. She sat down at the base of a cedar tree and played with her snowbaby.

Vesperia

A surprised look crossed Vesperia’s ethereal features as she stood in place for a moment with eyes in awe. Had he really been to a human development? Sure, she had lived in a worn log cabin for a little while with a human family but she was so sick that those years there were but disheveled flash backs. She would never even dream of visiting one of those human villages--at least not by herself. Being far too fearful for a dragon there were many things she did not do, quite pathetic in hindsight especially given her fearsome form. Sealameet gave the impression that he was quite the explorer and that was very fascinating. All the stories he probably knew and the adventures of roaming freely among those precocious beings that flew in odd machines. In truth, she wished very much to keep speaking with him but thought it’d be rather selfish to horde him so she decided to carry on, and hoped they would bump into each other again.

“Thank you Sealameet, for your kindness.” A warm smile was given as she delicately turned away from him and began walking with the black velvet bag still in tow.

Vesperia noticed a captivating woman with hair the color of a December snowstorm and had to pry eyes away. She was certain that compact figure’s dragon form was equally mesmerizing. While passing by, the dark elementalist smiled gingerly at the wintry female who seemed a little distraught. Unsure if she should approach the distressed dragon, however, Vesperia thought it best to give her space.

Soon thoughts about where to explore continued. A swim did sound lovely or maybe crystal shopping would be nice. She did enjoy watching younger dragons train though; combat secretly had been a growing favorite of hers though she did not like to admit it yet. Darkness coursed through her and the more she used her abilities the more she lusted for power. Although wielding necromancy mysticism did not make her evil per se, it was lucrative and some of the spirits she summoned beckoned her to test out the more sinister side of darkness. Habitually she struggled with keeping a balance between a virtuous nature and a malevolent one. Acerbus had not mentioned this and he needn't bother because she could feel that wicked pull, and knew her family dabbled in nefarious magic.

A training area came into view finally sending any previous woe spiraling away. Three stunning dragons were speaking among themselves giving the youngster a lesson in generating proper voltage. Vesperia could not help with that, as her magical affinity had really nothing to do with living conduits. She watched them with a warm smile before taking a seat on a flat boulder underneath a weeping tree as not to interrupt them quite yet. Observing was something of a pastime of hers and she had learned many things by watching closely.

Tarkus

After a quick break, Tarkus rose from his position on the ground and began to walk throughout the tribe. Slowly but surely he made progress as his strides were longer than most dragons. Staying in lanes meant for dragons his size Tarkus was still having trouble moving around as he felt the ground shake slightly with each step. With a sigh he knew someones vase would fall or a picture would shatter against the floor. As Tarkus found the front area of the tribe, he decided that enough was enough and began to shift into his compact form.

Curling his limbs close to his body, flames erupted from the bottom of his body and swirled up his frame before completely engulfing his body. After about thirty seconds the flames disappeared and left behind a much smaller man. Sensing several pairs of eyes on him, Tarkus decided to begin moving towards... something. He didn't actually have a destination and was now just "going with the flow". As he walked down a path, his attention was moved to a forlorn looking youngling.

Tarkus' paternal instincts kicked in as his gazed lingered on the sad looking youngling and with a sigh walked over to her tree. Bending down onto one knee to see her at her level, Tarkus said "What seems to trouble you young one?" as he eyed the lump of snow she cradled curiously.
