[OOC] Of Monsters and Myth

A modern-day RP with mythical races and creatures. It would be an action-comedy RP. The races typically get along, the exception being the Goblins, who are sadists, but are just ankle-biters unarmed.
RULES

You are allowed to use multiple characters. Just make a char. sheet and send it to me first.

When replying to someone's post, please put @(username) before anything else. It eases any confusion!

PM me your char. sheet! Or post them in the OOC part.

No race is necessarily evil or good.

NO DESTROYING PLACES.

No massacring of the innocent NPCs will be tolerated. But if they attack you first, you may kill them as you please.

Emoticons are frowned upon. If you're smiling in character, put in "he smiles" or "I smile" or something instead of or :).

Permission to Kill/Cripple/Amputate is enforced HEAVILY (Unless it's an unimportant NPC.)

No coming back from the dead without my permission.

Timeskip any sexual scenes (But kissing is allowed, not too much. This IS action, after all).

No god-modding (Insta-kills, invincibility with strength, etc.).

NO MARY SUES!

No being a god/demi-god without permission from me.

Original characters ONLY.

No Twiliight romance bullcrap. It will not be tolerated.

Use only the races provided. You can ask for more races to be added in.

Please, make a character sheet and show me it. I will review it and say if it's good or not. If it's good, you can RP with us.

Devil Code

1. None shall deny a rock-off.
2. Steal souls ONLY when killing a foe. You remember the Labor Day Screwup.
3. Do not abuse your powers.

Now for the playable races!

Humans.

Your average human being. They are sorta the Jack-Of-All Trades, Master of None.

Kobolds

They are a tribal species. They do not harm others without reason and do not speak English, instead they speak their own language. Their tribes are based on loyalty and honesty.
Come in three types:
Reptile: Short, brownish-red reptilian humanoid cute things. They usually wear loincloths.
Rodent: Furry, look like a humanoid cross between a rat and dog. They are weird-cute. Usually wears loincloths.
Elderly: Look like small old humans. They wear clothes and have a master, unlike the other types which live in tribes. They help and save their master with blessings and cunning plans. They are also about 6-12 inches tall, unlike their three-foot tall fellow Kobolds.

Elves

Tall (7 feet tall), slim human beings with pointy ears. They, unlike most other species, can have green or aquamarine hair. They are typically vain, arrogant and effeminate. Drow are like Elves physically and personality-wise, but their skin is dark blue and they can only have white hair.

Dwarves.

Short (4 feet tall), stocky, bearded human beings with large noses. They, unlike any other species, can have bearded females. They are typically brash, masculine and hardworking.

Gnomes

They are about two feet tall, have pointed ears and their only hair color is white. They act very oddly and typically end up concerning even the mightiest titans.

Demons

Your average demon could look either like a human or be a large, red, muscular humanoid with big black horns.Imps are short (3 feet tall) cat-lizard people. They have spear-like tails and long antennae-like horns. They have sandy-red skin and can regrow limbs.Incubi/Succubi are handsome/beautiful beings that have very high libido.Fallen Angels are angels that have sinned and lost their power.

Beastfolk

A human with some aspects of an animal. Not a complete furry. For instance, they can have the lower half of a centipede and the upper half of a human. They could also have the ears, tail and paws of a squirrel and everything else is human.

Angels

Your average angel will be glowing white, have a halo and dove wings.A Paladin is a chaotic-good living suit of silver armor with golden linings. They are hunted to save the lives of demons and the civil undead. A cherub is basically an average Angel, but they are permanently physcially babies.

Ghosts

A white, clear undead sapient being. Anything can die and become a ghost.

Gargoyles.

A special type of golem. The only thing that makes a gargoyle a gargoyle is that they are basically moving statues and wish to protect the innocent from harm.

Golems.

Animated non-living beings. They are different from Gargoyles in that they are to do what their master tells them to.

Hybrids

Half-one thing half-another. Things that can be hybrids: Birth
Humans, "Elderly" Kobolds, Elves, Dwarves, Demons, Gnomes, Angels, Trolls, Archdemons and Archangels, Fishmen, Dragons, Devils Hatched
Rodent and Reptile Kobolds, Harpies.

Troll

They are never that much alike. The only thing that makes a Troll a Troll is that they are about 4 feet tall and don't look like anything else that's sapient.

Harpy

Humans with beaks and wings. They have feathers instead of hair and bird legs instead of human legs.

Slime People

Human beings composed of slime. Their slime can be any color.

Pixies

Tiny (3-4 inches tall) butterfly-winged humans. Their hair can be any color and are typically described as "cute" or "pretty".

Permission only races

Archdemons and Archangels

Are more powerful average demons and average angels.

Lich

A powerful, soulless and undead Necromancer. They are all bald, scary and very pale.

Bogeyman

A non-biological creature. They are like Trolls but always skinny, vicious and turn into smoke in sunlight. They reproduce by spores and pollen.

Dragon

Your average dragon looks like your average European Dragon.
Wyverns are your average Chinese dragon.
Pygmy Dragons are either type, but much smaller.

Raised Dead (Self Explanitory. Only if your character has died.)

Spirit

A force of nature personified.

Friend with permission ONLY Races.

Slime

A living, genderless pile of goo. Sometimes they have surface tension.

Devil

A highly powerful archdemon. Not always Satan. They follow a strict code.

Kaiju (Villain ONLY)

A massive being with contempt for all sapient life. Like a Troll, the only thing that makes a Kaiju a Kaiju is that they are 10 stories tall.

Mutant Freak

A mutated animal from the Wasteland. They have become sapient through failed testing of mixing magic and radioactive materials.

One of the Seven Sins/Virtues: Self Explanatory.

Demi-God

Half mortal, half god.

Areas

The forest

Many creatures live in the forest, including sapient beings. It is very dangerous, but also very beautiful. There is a lake, a river, a bayou, and a waterfall deep inside in it.

Skfdlas

The biggest and most famous Kobold camp in the land, located inside of the forest. It is home to both Reptile and Rodent Kobolds and the government is based on trust and friendship. This is also the safest area in the land.

Hooveville

The 'main' town. It is home to at least one of every race. It is safer than the forest, but not as safe as Skfdlas. There is a bar, orphanage and a large library inside of it.

The Beach

A beautiful beach near Hooveville. It is a good spot for fun, fishing, and getting sun.

Rashlicking

The Goblin Fortress of the land. It is typically described as a "slum" or a "Ghetto". The only things that live there are the Goblins, their pets, and their slaves. The Goblins also have their own internet, dubbed "The Goblinternet".

The Wasteland

A barren, hot, radioactive wasteland far from the forest. It has abandoned and broken down labs and a radioactive zoo there.

Name: Thanquol

Race: A greater daemon of the Horned Rat, called a Vermin Lord.

Powers:

Half form

-Increased strength
-Enhanced durability
-Great speed/agility
-High stamina
-Adept plague magic
-Rat speak, can control a group of about ten rats

True form

-Greatly enhanced strength
-Invulnerability to mundane objects, however magic and magic items work just as well. Holy objects and sites deal high amounts of damage.
-Fear aura
-Plague touch
-Master level plague magic
-Rat speak, commands hoards of rats

Appearance:

half daemon

This is Thanquol's most common form when he travels the mortal realm. Desguised as a plague monk, Thanquol is clad in robes and trinkets that denote him as a fallower of the Horned Rat.

True Form

In his true form, Thanquol stands roughly 15 feet tall and is covered in dense, black fur. Runes with a sickly green aura flash across his skin nigh constantly and his tail twitches erratically with excited power.

Personality: Thanquol is jovial, loving, and accepting beyond comprehension. However these are all belied by his enthusiasm for the destruction and rot of all living things. Thanquol is obsessed with spreading the Horned Rats love across the world, it just so happens that his form of love involves infecting others with terrible diseases and the natural rot of forests, cities, people, and most other things. All in all, he is kind of a creep but he means well.

Flaws:
-Where Thanquol is, disease will surely fallow. Even in his weakened form his power seeps through and begins to infect less hardy people quickly.
-Thanquol does not get along with other greater daemons and most holy beings. However he has enough restraint to remain civil as long as they don't insult the horned father.
-While accepted by modern times, most people like to keep him several arms lengths away. Partly from his smell, partly for his religion, and mostly because he's a rat.
-Thanquol doesn't tolerate torture of any kind and will bring swift death to any he believes to have partaken in the act. This will eventually get him banished from this plane one of these days.
-If a place has gone too long without decay, rot, or disease Thanquol will do anything in his power to introduce it as decay is a natural part of things and shouldn't be tampered with.
-Despises the undead, they mock the natural order of death and decay. It doesn't take much for him to find an excuse to end ones (un)life.

Alliance: Technically neutral but can be seen in a darker light as a evil.

Race: Troll
Powers: Excellent at fighting barehanded. His greatest feature is his prehensile whip-like tail. He can lift things much heavier than him.
Appearance: (Source)
He is about 4 feet tall, but slouches, making him appear 3 feet tall. His body and head have both long, greasy, green hair. His limbs are covered in blue scales. His eyes are not visible. He has long, ram-like horns. His alligator-like muzzle has sharp, jagged teeth that are a nasty shade of yellow.
Personality: He's rather benign unless he's provoked. He doesn't know much, but tries to be kind to his friends.
Flaws: He is bad at using magic. His greasy hair makes him weak to being set on fire. His social skills are, in a word, off. He is exceptionally stupid.
Bio: He grew up and lives in the forest outside of town, near the lake. He doesn't know much other than English and how to live on his own.
Alliance: Opportunist/Neutral.

Would you mind if I chimed in on this situation? I know I'm not a moderator or anything, but I think these descriptions are important right now.

Free RP

No standards. For roleplaying involving one-liners, few-liners, speed-posting, and for anyone who doesn't want to have to worry about standards. Roleplays that don't fulfill Casual standards are moved here.

Casual RP

Medium standards. Roleplay here if you enjoy writing at least a paragraph or two, character development, and some depth. Casual RP is more laid back and lighthearted than Advanced RP but more moderated than Free RP. It's a good fit for most roleplayers. Acceptable spelling and grammar required.

Anywho, if you're worried about the lack of rules, you're free to deny someone or to tell them to stop posting, if they don't follow your RP's rules. You're the OP of this RP, and kinda have control over it... as long as you have your RP's rules set up, then you should be fine... however, that post you've made could be described as a 'one-liner', which means that it would belong in the 'Free' section. I'm not saying that this is a bad RP, but it is kind of a bad CASUAL Rp. It's at least a decent FREE Rp, though, if that makes sense.

um, also, don't mean to nitpick, but, perhaps a 'bio' section in the apps, as well? While this isn't needed, it does help a person form their character, and it helps you judge their RP skills before they post.

Race: beastfolk

Powers: great sense of hearing and smell, good hunter, stealth in forests.

Appearance:
He Iooks like in pic above. He is 5'10 tall. His arms and legs are hairless and shaped as a human's and is slightly tanned. His torso is slender compared to most humans although it has less hair than a wolf.

Personality: Remes prefers the calmness of the forest over the busyness of a town. He protects his forest home and travelers from animals and bandits alike. He helps the poor soul who by chance gets lost in his forest. Remes sometimes goes into a town to offer to be a guide or hunter.

Flaws: not streetwise, weak against sonic attacks due to natural hearing range, when in a settlement his sense of hearing and smell are clouded.

Alliance: good
